theres just something i absolutely adore about the way bells hells can be generally perceived in general by other people.

like how vox machina are these living legendary god-chosen heroes put into the history books and continue to be influential figures to this day. even during their time, they were protectors of the realm, slayers of dragons and gods. theyve taken the role of saviors and defending the side of good, despite how much of dumbass shitheads and callous in their ways and words they can be.

or how the mighty nein were these lesser-heard mysterious group of hypercompetent operatives entwined with criminal organizations, politics, governments, esoteric encounters, and divine or arcane secrets. they were shady motherfuckers whose agendas not a lot of people are privy to, altho we all know its mostly attending to each other's well-being and actually trying to do the right thing, and thats if theyre actually thinking some things through.

and now, the bells hells. the interesting thing is, theyre a group mostly comprised of ticking time bombs, and i feel like people can maybe already get some hints of that impression from them after a while? like. you see this colorful group of idiots. theyre actually pretty nice people. theyre appreciative and indulgent of most weird and even stupid shit. theyre not necessarily great at stealth, but theyve got the audacity to walk in any kind of establishment as if they belong even when they clearly dont, and weirdly enough it works. when faced with opponents, their first move is to fuck with them with some ridiculous shit. ghost haunts, booby traps, fake orgies, explosives as a warning. maybe even talk things out. wont even kill you, hell, they prefer not to usually.

but then you push a little too far. or youre in the way and they cant really afford to waste time. theyve got a goal, and theyre gonna reach it no matter what. and now youve got the most unhinged and feral group of people who doesnt give a shit about collateral damage or hurting themselves as long as they can put you down.

theyre also just so non-stop, and even if they were given time and opportunity to rest, theyre just so full of energy and grit.

during their first episodes, even eshteross was a little taken aback by how fast and immediate they move on to the next thing that needs their focus.

so. looking from the outside. theres this group of weirdos, most of them almost monstrous? just plain out weird and really questionable? in origins. theyre very nice people. very friendly. maybe even kind, sometimes at least. they fuck with enemies' heads, sometimes theyre small pranks, sometimes they just set you on fire. but stop short of killing, maybe even heal you!

but theyve also left so many places exploding and/or on fire. they will fucking ruthlessly win ANY COMPETITION OR RACE as undeniable victors.

the frontliners are beaten up and still standing and grinning with blood on their teeth, the casters have the least compunctions in killing, and the healer is fucking with a lot of the damages dealt within a fight.

theyre as quick to announce a big good like the voice of the tempest as their ally as they were with an amoral fey called the nightmare king whom they fully admitted to have been abducting children and innocent creatures for science.

no doubt, theyre all there to save the world. right some wrongs. make a better change.

but theyre just so. wild? and destructive. even to themselves.

im just curious on what the final image of them as a group will be for them.

Romantic anxiety (Part 2) - Kaveh

Part 1 here! Gender neutral reader, if you like Kaveh this isn't gonna be a happy second part.

You had been working with Tighnari, a mutual friend of yours and Kaveh, on your social anxiety. You told him you wanted to get over your problems, explaining Kaveh was someone who likes to hold hands in public. Tighnari can empathize with this, knowing Kaveh was quite extravagant. Through the year, he had been there to help you get better with your public speaking, which helped with your confidence.

You finally got to the point you felt like you could hold Kavehs hand in public, to be confident enough to show affections. Tighnari approves, giving you a gift that he knew would be to Kavehs taste. Making your way to his house, you stride with your found confidence.

"Who's that at the door?" Kavehs lover asked, Kaveh rubbing his eyes before making his way to the door. Perhaps a new commission, or maybe it was a friend. Alhaitham never left without his keys, in fact Kaveh had known Alhaitham to 'accidentally' take his set of keys as well as his own.

He opens the door, and he gets a mixed set of emotions.

"_?" Kaveh blanks, trying to figure out what to do.

"Hello, Kaveh. I've built up my confidence in public, and I would like to show you how much I still love you." You smile, holding out the gift.

"Oh...thanks..." Kaveh winces, slowly extending a hand and taking the gift you had. You were about to ask him if something was wrong, but you didn't need to ask about him.

"Babe, come back to bed." You hear a voice yawn, peering around the corner in their nightwear. "It's lonely without you, you know I need a warm body to cuddle up to."

Kaveh let's out an uncomfortable smile, eye twitching.

"Oh...you've moved on..." You back away slowly, the partner furrowing their brows as they watch your actions. "I'm...I'm happy you found someone, Kaveh. I am."

You weren't. You knew you were selfish to expect him to just wait for you to stop being so nervous with him. You should have left out the part of the letter where you told him you'd be okay with him moving on while you were working on yourself.

You run away, back to your friend, and Kaveh sighs before closing the door.

Tighnari heard your footsteps running up to his house, and the sniffling he heard didn't reassure him in any way. Turning around, you had returned without the gift.

"He moved on..." You wince, closing your eyes. "I took too long to get on top of my confidence issues, and I saw his partner."

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that." Tighnari replies, unsure what to say.

"His partners better than me. They're more attractive, theyre-"

"Stop comparing yourself to them." Tighnari huffs, grasping you by the shoulders as he sits you down. "He's moved on, and it must have been very recent. I honestly thought he wasn't taken - I wouldn't have sent you with that gift I crafted if I knew." Tighnari reassures you. "You'll move on. I know, it sounds impossible, but you will. It'll take time."

"...You're right, thank you." You nod, wiping away a stray tear.

"Who was that?" Kavehs partner asks, Kaveh snuggling up with them once again. "Someone who had feelings?"

"That was my ex." Kaveh admits, staring at the ceiling.

"Oh, I see! They tried to win you back after realising they lost the best man in Teyvat." They sigh out, their head resting on his chest.

Kaveh doesn't dignify that with a response. He knew you were trying your best to become the best you, but he didn't give you the time to gain confidence. He remembered the nights when you showed him all the affection you could to make up for not expressing it out in public. He had moved on, a recent crush developing into an unofficial relationship, and you had no doubt been hopeful he was available.

SU reclaimed pearl rambles

im gonna use some annoying comments i got on my reclaimed pearl as a springboard for what i think could be interesting discussion because i think its good to engage with criticism/different opinions. but also if you talk to me like an asshole i want you to fuck off and i promised i wouldnt engage in that kind of stuff bc its not good for me and it doesnt Look good for me either.

so i can talk about my thoughts but not engage directly, win win. its been months but im still really fond of the pearl i made specially this art. like it coudl be better but i like it well enough. just a little header so this isnt a boring post with only text

i think like, its good to establish ground rules that like, i think most of the poor reactions ive seen towards my art were missing, mostly in bad faith probably but in case theres ppl who earnestly want to understand. actually maybe i can format it like a little FAQ even though theyre not frequent or asked lskdjg just for outlining my points. ill put it behind a cut but ill frontline w this: if youre a fan of pearl in the show, this content is not for you. youre allowed to like whatever you want and so am i. if you like her, we probably wont get along and you probably will feel very personally irritated by how i FEEL about her, so just walk away now. im not gonna engage with petty shit taht juts boils down to 'im mad you dont like what i like'

onwards to more rambling / sorta responding to some criticism

i scrolled back and i guess i sorta never have actually done a proper full explanation post about this AU have i? or maybe i have and deleted it, i forgor

why did you change pearl?

because i hate her, simple as. i went from a huge SU fan to hating watching it (i did finish) and pearl is probably The biggest reason why, as like issues with her character seep into other aspects of the show that i also hate. like i mean i Realyl hate her. she makes the experience of watching the show really irritating and miserable for me. if you dont feel taht way about her thats totally normal and whatever but no one is gonna change my experience and feelings that i had watching SU since the 1st season was coming out.; anyway answering. there is a Lot i love about SU and want to engage with, so i had the idea of like,maybe ill just change pearl, cause i wanted to delete her, really, but she is one of the main characters and she hasa function as a character that you cant just do away with. essentially im just like, some guy, who draws, coping and trying to reclaim his teenage investimetn in this show. literally its just for ME. but if anyone else feels like i do, then they can enjoy it too. if somoene doesnt feel like i do, go watch like pearl fancams or smth. like ill never be able to literlaly change the show as it is, like its happened, and its a tragedy im trying to move on from (begrudgingly)

why do you hate pearl?

the long laundry list of reasons are probably apparent in the ways i remade her lol (theyre not i can tell ppl are gonna project whatever worst bad faith reason for any change i make) but tbh the core of it is this, which is like, beyond whatever traits she has and whatever: she reminds me of my abusers. always had, from season 1, but like it became worse as the series went on. its like really infurating and upsetting to watch SU bc of her. had my abusers been a different kind of person, maybe i wouldnt hate her so much (kinda doubt tbh). like her personality and behavior are like hough disgosting!!

why did you change (some physical trait about her design)?

i dont really necessarily have a PROBLEM with canon pearls design. over the years ive come to like SU's style less and less but like, gestures, whatever. like i didnt like it or anything but its not like a bit deal compared to the actual offender that is her personality and behavior. the reason i redesigned her at all is bc like, if i hadnt, i would still be thinking about the way she is in canon all the time. like ive visually associated her like, appearance with all the shit about her thta makes me upset so i had to so she didnt look like the same person anymore, and i can try to let go of some of the hatred in my heart. like i want to think about the thigns about SU that i loved and also the potential i always saw in it and canon pearl is like, an active obstacle to that, to the point taht i cant even see her without getting like irked. i tried to keep enough similar traits so from a glance youd be like, who the fuck- is that pearl? rather than like. completely change her entirely to whatever i wanted. i do want to like, its a creative exercise. i want to try and change the things that would make me happy to see gone but try to work within the constraints of the SU we Did get as much as i can tolerate. bc like.... if the sky was the limit then at this poin wed just have to throw the whole thing away and start from scratch. like its kinda not really very salvageable, like im not rewirting SU to be like a Good show or fix Everything, its kinda too broken. im just chnaging enough so i can look at the actual show, screenshots, songs etc, and not feel overcome wtih like the grief and irriatation of how much it sucked ass. its just so i can enjoy more of it again

cool. thanks for your input. youre welcome! eat my asshole. seriously though, like, shrugs. i didnt make it for anyone other than myself. tbh im not fully satisfied with it either bc i think the SU style is kinda ugly, so im at a crossroads. should i mostly abandon the SU style? ive like, tested out tweaking things, it mightve been noticeable in screenshot redraws. drawing within the SU style is to create that coping 'oh it was totally like this haha' vibe but maybe im old enough to not need that anymore lol. like ive heard ppl say shit like shes ugly, or like sneakily trying to imply im like, got some agenda over beauty or racism etc. like whatever, think whatever you want, its not for you. go back to sucking up to rebecca or smth like i cant take the og pearl away from you still i am open for like that kind of criticism like, do i have personal biases affecting my design decisions? probably. i do try to keep aware of why im choosing certain things, but really in this case i cant emphasize enough how like, irritating it is that i have to change her design at all. like its hard to come up w smth else when the rest of the cast ahs already been design to balance off the og pearl. i probably wouldnt change almost anything if the sight of her didnt piss me the fuck off! most of all i kinda wouldve preferred to keep her hair short bc it messes up the sillouete but it makes me think too much of canon pearl so i made it long :/ i was like let me tell you my design thought process: -im gonna try to keep as many recognizable traits about her design while taking away bit by bit until she doesnt look like the og pearl to me anymore and i dont feel angry seeing her. pearl is lanky, tall, spindly, with a gem on the forehead, blue white pink yellow pastel colors, large pointed nose. i kinda tried to keep these traits while slightly tweaking their design until she looked different enough. is it a good design? eh idk. like the purpose is to make me not hate her and it does that job

now this hate comment im gonna grace with keeping it intact except removing the person bc its not about them. its like, a very stupid ass headed comment but im actually kind of interested in like,jumping off of it to ponder some things

im not heterosexual or cis enough to know what exactly wife bate means in this context so im gonna like guess, that maybe i could extract this q from that reply (also not looking like shes from steven universe is a compliment thanks)

you took away her personality and made her boring

the only thing i can assume is that like, some people must interpret the absence of an assholey personality or like abusive behavior is 'boring'. i know thats a really bad faith assumption but like, if ive written down a bunch of personality traits and you still come out saying thats 'no personality' what am i to make of that lol. based on my experience like Existing online, people tend to often call nice characters 'boring', like dude ive done it before, but i think im kinda over that edgy phase. also again, its for me and not for you so if you think shes boring, thanks for your input i dont care. but thinkign about it earnestly, i dfeintely dont want to make a character thats just no flaw and not interesting ofc, i havent done that with reclaimed pearl. that being said i havent like, probably written a lot demonstrating what i want her to be like instead of the canon pearl so, maybe ppl just are feeling lost with the lack of information.

personally, if i hear someone thinks a character is boring bc theyre not abusive anymore like, nothing of value has been lost. but characters do need flaws in order to create conflict and cause things to happen, like in a way canon pearl is like All flaw, which wouldnt be a problem except she gets away wtih all the horrible shit she did. heres some traits i want to explore with reclaimed pearl, some are similar to canon i just wanna go about it a different way: being overprotective/possessive to steven in a smothering way, projecting abandonment issues, not reaching out/communicating her emotions properly, lacking indepedence/self worth, depending on others to avoid confronting her own issues, being very passive and insecure and lacking initiative (this being the totally opposite trait that canon pearl has), stunting stevens development due to her not being ready for him to grow up and not need her anymore. and more, this is just from the top of my head. maybe thats still too 'boring' for ppl because shes not being selfish and inconsiderate enough to others so you can relate to her but i dont care :p

gosh how do i go about like, presenting the content i ahve in my head for this AU).. i cantjust remake the whole damn show. i would if i could, tbh

i have concerns about racist implications wrt (insert thing here about my redesign)

imma be frank. i dont know how to compltely 'clean up' any possible bad associations wrt pearl as a character given how like, rebecca has literally like, made her to be a slave in love with her slave owner and made it to be like, an uwu ideal lesbiab thing for most of the show until they tried to pretend no we understood the flaws in this dynamic all along and its bad actually , uhh, anyway shows over haha

ill say the main reason i changed her skintone is, bc that would be the like most instant way to make her look differnt from canon (which is vital for me for the reasons said above), and i did consider like, does this make the whole thing worse, or, ?? like, as they made it in the show, techincally All the gems are slaves to the diamonds, arent they? including all the very totally progressive poc based gems including and specially the ones who are made to be understood as black women. bruh like idk what to tell you this show is just fuckig bad sdlgkj like its just way too like, pervasive in my teen years forme to throw the baby w the bathwater entirely. and ill just straight up say it, like, im not a specialist on these topics nor do i hav ea position of authority to speak on about it. like the pearls read more clearly as slaves (very intentionally by the showrunners) bc they are meant to be subservient to gems Other than diamonds. and also bc they like fit in the stereotype of housemaid servant. like the rubies being made to just be forced to go and fight like they are slaves too, they have no rights and no like, authority to disobey or autonomy. but fsr like, slavery as in physical labor just doesnt immeidately set off ppls alarms as much as housework slavery does fsr.

i can only rly like change the canon so much and try to like, tweak things so it doesn feel as gross but i think for it to be cmpletely not insneistive at all youd have to throw away the whole show. and like i said, this isnt like me saying like im making the show good or as it shouldve been, im making it so I (and ppl who share my feelings about the show) can feel less shitty just thinking back to it. its just an exercise. im not like mass media im just one independent artist and shit will come out insensitve sometimes and im sorry but im also like, my art isnt meant to be representative and like, responsiuble for fixing all of society and racism like i actually cant do that. ill just do the best i can as an asian dude but like, if my work makes you upset, im sorry, but also just block me. like i cant please everyone. or like, even better, make YOUR take on pearl taht you feel would be better, like make the art you feel should exist.

this post is too damn long and id be surprised if anyone reads all of it but if you do, tahnk you! i felt kinda like ready to fight tonight so im triyng to redirect it from aggression to like, thinking. i cant guarantee im making new content for su reclaimed anytime soon but i would really like to, tbh

ok so here are my thoughts about this years minecraft live.

overall it was .... okay. i felt like there was a lot more padding than usual, like we only got small bits of information with large amounts of exposition in between. that could be from the whole "learning from last year in promising too much and delivering too little", so who knows.

minecraft legends looks fun. i like that the world is randomly generated each time so everyone will get a unique experience. the mechanics look interesting and seem to fit together nicely. the design of the mobs and plants and environments are really nice. im interested to see just how much of the game there is, the replayability, the longevity of the game, but overall looks like a solid game. ill probably buy it when it releases

the update reveal.... well, they gave us virtually nothing so i cant really comment on it. as previously stated idk why theyre only just learning how to properly do gameplay reveals, but im glad they took the criticism from the fiasco that was 1.19 and are actually listening. maybe listening a bit too much? we literally have no clue what this updates theme is. like last year they revealed to much so now theyre going the polar opposite direction and revealing nothing. ppl in my discord server were saying maybe a building update considering the new blocks and new default skins which ties into the whole "self expression" shit, so we'll see.

a quick aside, i gotta mention how absolutely vague the update description agnes gave was. "this year we want self expression and representation. we want identity and to unite all players together. and this year we did just that, with this update, that will connect players and identity, and representation". she spoke around what the actual theme was then said they want to make minecraft "minecraftier". what the fuck does that mean. anyway.

hanging signs are cool, they were frequently requested so im glad theyre finally being implemented, and in varying shapes and positions. no complaints there.

the chiseled bookshelf is... cool... but its functionality literally couldve been implemented into the normal bookshelf. plus, the chiseled ones just look better imo. so kinda confused there but oh well.

the new bamboo wood is alright, it looks a little ugly to me. i like the mosaic variety. the bamboo raft confuses me as it functions exactly like a normal boat, so im not sure the need to differentiate.

the camels are the BEST part of this livestream. they seem super dope and well designed with interesting and fun mechanics. anything that adds to the barren deserts is a godsend. 2 player rideable mob with a dash move? sign me up. my only concern is... theyre so intricate it makes classic mobs look so boring. the camels have a specific getting up and laying down animation complete with ear twitch animations and dashes while the cow just. stands there. so not super great in that department

and finally, the mob vote. SNIFFER SWEEP. i dont have much to say about this bc obviously the sniffer would win. it was the most interesting out of all of them. i had no doubts but the confirmation is exciting.

its 2am as i write this and im tired so thats all im gonna say for now. i probably forgot stuff and ill probably remember stuff later so ill probably more than likely make more rants tomorrow

also the fact that he's not even interested in the hostel. the only people we've seen truly working on it are mew and cheum, mew possibly because if it fails he loses his place as top student, idk why but cheum is a business major so she probably has some vested interest in this project. i'm assuming ray is a buisness major because of his dad and even tho it's technically his project - as boston points out - i doubt he wants to work in that field

excited for tonight i have absolutely 0 clue on whats gonna happen

we have no idea if a team getting knocked out may end up being the cursed team and so far have no way of even knowing how we could avoid that without a tie - which even if they did try it would be very difficult to achieve with the disasters and mobs everywhere just 1 death could throw off the balance

we have 0 clue what happens to the team that gets knocked out, the tweet says that team "completely dies" which we still have 0 context for what that means for the players.

i doubt theyd not be allowed to play since that would be pretty sad for the ccs probably and the admins have always done their best to make it playable for everyone (like on friday for blue) but also that might be exactly it we have NO idea!

and after friday red teams opinion on the other two teams has definitely changed so we cant say for certain which team theyd help to win if any team at all - thats even if theyre given the opportunity to help the two teams

i have absolutely 0 clue whats gonna happen tonight and the rest of the purgatory event but im veerrry excited to find out

OK SO

I've calmed down from the finale, i'm ready to put my thoughts in hopefully coherent sentences. Limited life ending spoilers under the cut!!! (The post is about Scott and the mean gills)

SO OK LET'S TALK ABOUT SCOTT

My guy has had it rough in the life series. It started with him losing after already losing his partner first. Then i last life he won but the cost was that he was still alone, tho his friends still stayed with him their own end. In limited life he "won" in a sense. Pearl doesnt explicetly call it HER win, its theirs due to them being connected. And then Scott breaks that connection by betraying her to end them both. And not in limited life, he's the one who got betrayed instead.

Soctt has basically had a whole list of wildly different things happening. He's both won and lost. Both betrayed and been betrayed. Both lost apone and won together.

And one thing that stayed through through ALL of it is that Scott has always been one of the most loyal people. He doesn't betray the people he stays with. Pearl and him were only soulmates in spirit, and never really saw eye to eye in double life. So although it was a soulmate betrayal, i dont think I can call it a betrayal in an allyship or alliance.

It honestly makes the ending hit a bit harder when this behavior finally hit him back. Because this time, his trustworthy status didn't protect him. And ontop of that, it didn't protect him FROM HIS OWN TEAMMATE 👏

Martyn being the one to kill him was something i genuinely didn't see coming. I was expecting many betrayals amongst everyone, Martyn killing Scott? Martyn, the one who kept telling people NOT to kill Scott when everyone wanted to pile up on him? Martyn, the one Scott trusted so much?

"Martyn, theyre gonna kill me."

"I'm not gonna kill you!"

"Not you, THEM."

THAT MARTYN?? Yeah that was a really big shock. Being loyal to his team has often paid off well for Scott. His true allies protect him from danger, his teammates fight for him. And then here you have the mean gills. The team that would by all means be another perfect exanple of this. Martyn even still saying in the finale "ok they hurt you, theyre dead." When the remaining ties attempted to kill him. And yet, Martyn betrayed him in an instant if it meant he would win without a doubt

The mean gills betrayal just had me shocked, that's the takeaway for me

whaddya think the fates of the yabusame sibs will be in 3-2? will they have any major plot impact? will they have one big defining moment? will they DIE?? idrk so I wanna hear the expert’s thoughts!! (and do you think the reko/Alice decision will have an impact on logic route?)

oo this is interesting! okay i have quite a few thoughts bear with me here.

also just for ease, i am only referring to emotion route unless i say otherwise

oh and im gonna put it all under the cut cuz its pretty hefty i apologise

will they have any big plot impact? i personally believe that every character has pretty big plot impact, but i know thats not what you mean so i will give an actual answer. im not sure if they will have MORE plot relevance than other characters, especially since theyre only there in one route (although, i have seen people theorise that emotion and logic will have seperate plots completely, which is interesting). i think plot wise, there isnt alot that they CAN impact yk? midoris gone, hinakos gone, and those were the big moments. i mean, that was a huge moment in alice lives route, the hinako reveal was such a huge plot moment, and to my knowledge it wasnt as big boom powpow in rekos route as it was in alices. i think that reko'll have one of these moments (please she needs a w). we still dont know her first trial. i think we'll find out what it is in 3-2 (the same applies to gin and kai but this is about reko). and i feel like alices first trial was pretty plot relevent so the same could apply here. as for alice specifically, i have a feeling that the memories that safalin erased will come into play. yttd has established a pretty big theme of humanity/how can humans be altered or changed and alice erasing his memories of reko is a pretty huge example of this. i highly doubt that it wont be relevant. also again, hinako moment was a pretty big plot impact. im not saying that he won't have any more plot impact, but i feel like in 3-2 he won't have a single big reveal moment because, well, it's already happened.

big defining moment this is just me elaborating slightly. i think all the first trials we dont know about will be relevant, and that includes reko's. on top of that i do think that while her arc is mostly coming to a close, i think she very well could have a big personal character moment, this may be wishful thinking cuz i love her and want to see more of her but whatever. to be honest, i don't fully see HOW her first trial is going to be relevant, but there has gotta be a reason for it being hidden this whole time. alice's first trial seemed irrelevant until it wasnt so! alices big moment, as i said, has gotta be related to his memories. i refuse to believe that he just erases his memories and moves on with his life, it just seems like a copout and i trust nankidai more than that!

will they die? to be honest, i dont think so. they very well MIGHT but i dont know! i think there will be at least one route where they die, but i think itll be avoidable. again. very well may be wishful thinking. but truly i think that either of them surviving to the end, possibly even escaping, would be a huge win for their character arcs. particularly alice who has very little to get back to. for him to fight on, to move forwards, despite knowing this? i think that'd be hella cool thematically! the idea of hope, and the idea that being human is to fear death are pretty big themes for the game, so for character like alice: a prisoner, who's already lost his sister and hasn't talked to the rest of his family in years, to not give in and to escape anyways would really fit into that. he doesn't have too much to live for, but that doesn't mean he should die, yk? (also would be an interesting parallel with kanna). reko, similarly but also on the other hand, HAS people to get back to, she has her band. and her fans. shes a public figure, her kidnapping was probably a big deal, making national news headlines, so it'd be nice to see her escape, also playing into the idea of hope both for her personally, and for everyone else; everyone in the death game and, yeah, her fans. additionally, because she is famous, her escaping could be detrimental to asunaro. she could out them completely as criminals, it would be a huge fucking deal. realisitically, im not sure if thats going to happen but its a possibility!

will choice affect logic route? honestly i have NO idea. i think most realistically, no, considering alot of people play chapters seperately to each other and will be starting from 3-2 without any link to any previous saves. there wouldn't be any point in having a "who died" choice for the yabusames at the start of 3-2. hopefully speaking, maybe. i think it could be interesting seeing how it affects sara, especially because she was incredibly close to reko. reko's death in logic route would obviously hit her alot harder than alice's so it'd be interesting seeing the differences there, but very likely the choice won't matter. emotion route on the other hand, i have a feeling theres gonna be a big difference in 3-2 between alice and reko lives, not sure what it'd be but. something's gonna happen. might be first trial related who knows

this is like half "what i think will happen" and half "what i want to happen" and i cant tell which is which.

tldr: alice gets his memories back, we find out rekos first trial, there is at least one route where they survive their respective routes, and the choice is relevant in emotion (all theory)

sapnap/unresolved georgenap in rules

someone on retrospring asked me for sapnap's perspective in rules because it's pretty underdevlopped in the fic so here's my answer so i have it saved because it was fun to talk about

ok i. ran out of time for sapnap in rules and i will be the first to admit that. sapnaps arc isnt very as satisfyingly resolved as dreams and thats because the dnf damage was just so intense and so fresh it took priority over longterm hurt but. theres a lot there that he went through thats implied and also in my personal headcanons of unwritten lore that implications stem from that i dont describe well or explore enough in the actual fic (sorry self burn booooooo)

rules is sapnap fell first george fell harder. 100%. its established in chapter 1 that sapnap had a crush on george since they were young and it was implied that george knew about it for most of the time of their friendship because it would be brought up casually/jokingly and while george thought it was lighthearted (and, once they got together, irrelevant) it was pure torture for sapnap.

loving both of your best friends is very difficult, if you could imagine. in my head dreamnap eased into each other better than georgenap did (emotionally) but... thats not really hard to do. dream and him established probably pretty similarly to treacherous in that it didnt take too long for them to realize their feelings for each other, but in rules george is more present so they get together faster because as we all know dreamnap are kind of scared of each other while george is the worlds biggest instigator. dnn complete each other yadda yadda im getting sidetracked

so they establish that they want each other and start this relationship but we're gonna math it out. sapnap isnt getting words of affirmation (outside of e-sex like praise no i love yous) or physical touch from george. he's getting words of affirmation from dream but limited physical touch due to The Rules (wooooooo). another thing thats quick in the fic is that dreamnap kinda lock away from each other because they Want to be together and theyre Not Allowed To so u can imagine the strain that would put on all of their dynamics. theyre so close but limited to compromise with someone who cant even say i love you or touch them like its Hard bro and theres resentment that comes from that piled atop the years of teasing for feelings that sapnap can never even be sure are reciprocated are u kidding????

so not only is there this prodding and underlying making fun of sapnaps feelings at regular interverals and overall memeing on him for YEARS theres george putting him in a painful position in the relationship too. more resentment. the piles getting pretty high, huh? and then they meet. theyre together. and its george but its also someone completely different. suddenly he's being worshipped and touched like gold with the kindest words whispered and he slips into subspace and feels so safe and he loves george so much why does it have to be so hard?

so he settles for when it's not hard.

he consents to cosigning the breaking of dreams heart and lets george sleep with him alone because for just a few minutes or hours he can pretend he means something to george. because he has doubts. maybe id go so far as to say theres times where he really doesnt believe him at all. but he does believe him when he's combing fingers through his hair and letting him taste love on his tongue

i think a lot about dreamnap in oklahoma. how sapnap felt to sleep in the same bed as dream and want to be with him alone the way they were when george was on call but he cant. all the while knowing if george was in his place he could do whatever he wants because hes on another wavelength

more resentment. george always wins, isn't that so unfair?

and when sapnap comes back different. that line is important and holds a lot of weight. thats when he got tired of george being unfair and dragging him through the mud and he wanted to be strong against someone who makes him weak so he tries so hard even though hes being torn in two and he's so tired, can you imagine? so he stops the unsafe scene. more resentment builds. he's done with george. he cant take this anymore. hes ruining everything and so he pulls away from him even more

and then he gets drunk and george crawls under his skin and he fails and can you imagine how much he was beating himself in the head for that? after being so strong and maybe he felt excluded a little because of it but he wasnt being weak and then george fucking makes him weak again and dream catches him and it all blows up because he was weak

and still. even with sapnap and him on the chopping block. george does not say i love you.

sapnap defends him in the fight. and george still doesnt say it.

there's a lot of negativity in him. he's been really dragged through it and treated like shit and theres a part of me who has this perspective and sees rules!george apologists and wonders if theyre thinking about any of this. if any of it is even detectable in the tiny one liners i slipped in because i was going too fast

rules is about george at face value, but it's also kind of about dream, and it's definitely about sapnap.

laz's fatal flaw is that he, at his core, is very very very attracted to guys who clearly have a lot of pent up and repressed frustration and anger and are coping with serious deep seated issues with self worth and are coping with it by lashing out at everyone. like he's BEEN that guy so he Gets It, he knows what its like, and he is so goddamn skilled at getting under peoples skin and pushing their buttons and he KNOWS full and goddamn well that just like him theres usually a wire crossed somewhere in their head between fighting and fucking and he also knows that outright approaching them like 'hey. do you like men' they will immediately assume hes pulling their leg and probably get mad as fuck and he will fumble his chance, so he just bides his time and bothers them and tries to initiate physical conflict one way or another, either by getting them to like spar with him or something or by just bothering them until they snap. almost always lets them 'win' and then drops the bomb on them as to why he's actually doing this, and it ALWAYS works because again he knows the exact mindset and he knows theyre going to be chomping at the bit for any opportunity to be Wanted, especially now that the adrenaline is pumping because they were just beating the shit out of eachother and theyre gonna be prone to be impulsive and less likely to give in to self doubt and actually go for it. like it's in part 'i know this guy has issues and cannot be fixed, BUT i think if he got laid he might at least calm down a little bit. thankfully im just the man for the job' and also he genuinely just likes em wacky like he sees a guy who is absolutely insane and is like ohh i cant not fuck him . someone once said 'dont stick your dick in crazy' to him and he was like this sign wont stop me because i cant read

the 'flaw' part of this is that, because he is ultimately at his core just a chill friendly guy who has been very lonely for most of his life, he latches onto anyone he manages to make a connection with VERY hard and becomes genuinely invested in their wellbeing, so obviously if this newfound outlet for their issues accidentally gives them the opportunity to like, reflect and decide they do actually want to better themselves, of course hes going to be right there with them every step of the way and try to help or be supportive any way he can, because thats what friends do!!

so he is basically constantly getting himself into these situations where hes like 'this guy is hot i am going to start a fight because i want him on me' clearly just gunning for like a weirdly homoerotic rivalry or something like he is clearly not thinking this far ahead and then next thing he knows he is not only in love with the guy like genuinely but he is also like accidentally giving them secondhand therapy by talking about his own struggles and how he relates to them in an attempt to be understanding. he's the only guy in the world with 'i can fix him' disease who genuinely does not approach these interactions with the intention of fixing anyone it literally just happens to him and he comes home to rigel at the end of the day like 'baaaaabe it happened again 🥺🥺🥺 help' and rigel sighs and goes to see which pathetic loser guy followed laz home like a stray dog this time
