5 Things That Make Me Happy:

My friendships - I may not always be the most verbal person, but the friendships I've managed to keep despite this have always made me happy to see what the next day brings. (And, yes, this includes all of you who seemingly live in my computer. I love you, thank you for giving me something to look forward to day after day)

The characters I've created - Listen, we all love our blorbos right? I'm no different. Some days I'll go in-game just to stare at them, and some days I'll go on at-length about how they did this that one time and it permanently rewired their brain, and that is why they're Like That. Breathing life into characters gives me great joy.

A good cup of coffee - It's the little things, man. And when you need a cup to jumpstart your day, a good cup just hits different. It's a welcome happy start to any day.

Someone remembering tiny details - Having someone actually listen and remember is so heartwarming. To hear someone bring up "Oh, you said this this one time, so I figured I'd do/get this for you" or "Didn't you say this thing a while back? Why don't we go do this?" makes me feel loved and heard, and makes me extremely happy. (or in the case of a certain friend group, "You remember that meme that you laughed at a bit TOO much on Christmas eve that one year because you got wine drunk? Yeah, we're gonna haunt you with it now" xD)

Fresh-baked bread or other baked goods - There's a reason I taught myself to bake. The taste, smell, and feel of freshly-baked food is one of my all-time favorites.

To be fair that happens with me and various anons from time to time, but also Walton! He's been on your boat for days! You've been writing letters about him and how desperately you wanted a friend like him! He's about to profess his life story to you! I think maybe you should ask him what his name is!

But also I think it would be hilarious if he didn't ask his name and we just saw how long we could go in the book without knowing Victor's name, just see how long we can draw it out. Extra dramatic irony because we know who he is and would be losing our minds the entire time

It's entirely possible he already knows it and just isn't sharing it, but I think interpreting this as him just going about life without his name is much much funnier

Y'all I know that when so-called AI generates ridiculous results it's hilarious and I find it as funny as the next guy but I NEED y'all to remember that every single time an AI answer is generated it uses 5x as much energy as a conventional websearch and burns through 10 ml of water. FOR EVERY ANSWER. Each big llm is equal to 300,000 kiligrams of carbon dioxide emissions.

LLMs are killing the environment, and when we generate answers for the lolz we're still contributing to it.

Stop using it. Stop using it for a.n.y.t.h.i.n.g. We need to kill it.

FFXIV - G'raha - Predictable, I know, but there's something so endearing about Raha that I just can't help but love.

Dragon Age: Inquisition - Dorian - I just really love this man, okay? A+ banter and just a well-rounded character.

Nu Carnival - Olivine - I play this for the plot, I swear. Olivine's got such a comforting presence, and I can't help but love him. Yakumo was a very close runner-up tho.

Obey Me! - Simeon - I'm a sucker for a sweet angel that likes to dance along the line of what he's allowed to do. That and he's gorgeous.

Genshin Impact - Itto - I love me a good himbo.

Tears of Themis - Artem - This awkward boy makes me so soft, I swear. Absolute blessing of a man.

Stardew Valley - Elliott - I love one (1) beach-dwelling author with my whole heart. 10/10, would grow have grown a whole grove of pomegranate for him.

The Arcana - Julian - I always fall for the ones doomed by the narrative and/or self-sacrificing, I swear. Why must they be so charming?

Critical Role (C2) - Beau - I was gonna say Caduceus because I love his vibes, but the character development Beau went through in campaign 2 is my favorite. I was forever rooting for her.

The Adventure Zone - Taako - I heard the words "taco wizard" and was immediately invested. It only got better from there, but I expect nothing less from those dorks.
