"Tell me of the story of how the God of Fire burned too bright with his love for the Goddess of Ice," you ask in a quiet voice, eyes unwavering when your male companion swivels to look at you for a moment. Perhaps it is disbelief on his face for a second before he breaks into an easy smile that looks so rare on him.

The man runs a hand through ash blonde hair, setting his gaze back out onto the horizon across the sea.

"Over a millennium ago, it was said that there were numerous Gods that roamed the world. Each was a divine power that was worshipped by the masses. We had the Goddess of the Sea, God of the Earth, God of the Storm, God of War, Goddess of Ice and finally, the God of Fire." He explains, the look in his eye far off as he ruminates on the names of the Gods.

"Each of these Gods kept to their respective parts of the world, where they would rest dormant and only come to serve when they deemed it necessary. But not all Gods listened to that, Ifrit, the God of Fire was as fickle as fire. He served none but himself, that was until he encountered the Goddess of Ice, Shiva.

Shiva was a cold-hearted God, she never felt the warmth of the love of her devoted followers. She was cast away from the rest of the Gods and exiled for her lack of faith in humans. She didn't believe in their need to cling to dreams, to have a hope in their heart that someday things would get better."

The sea breeze is sharp, salty wind stinging against exposed skin and watery eyes. It was calm here at the edge of the world, watching over the seas that once were occupied by a great serpent.

"Anyway, Ifrit found Shiva alone in her secluded resting place in the mountains. It was evident that Shiva was suffering on her own, even with the icy nature of her powers seeping through the heated bones of the God of Fire. That's when Ifrit found it within himself to show Shiva that compassion and benevolence did exist. She watched as he bestowed upon the lands a gift of power, he gave humans a place to live and Shiva had never seen such love, a burning type of love that warmed even the icy heart of the Goddess of Ice.

She fell in love with Ifrit, and he, in love with her. It was calm for a while, their love for one another was unrivalled. It burned hot, their followers had never seen their Gods so happy." A smile graces the blonde's face, and he spares a glance in your direction to see you hanging off of his every word.

"But the problem with Ice and Fire is that they're natural enemies. If one burns brighter, the other will melt. Ifrit couldn't control his love for Shiva and thus meant Shiva was ultimately destroyed by the inferno that was his heart. It broke Ifrit to see his love perish at his own hands, to feel her skin grow cold until it was as if she were made of the ice itself.

That's when the war of Gods broke out. Ifrit was inconsolable, he waged war on the world. He brought great destruction and the other Gods were left with the task of killing him."

The sound of distant waves hitting the rocks below is loud, filling the silence with something whilst Bakugou finally heaves out a sigh.

"You say it as if you were there," you laugh, albeit awkwardly to try and dispel the air of sadness. Bakugou looks at you for a moment, the red of his eyes dull but you can see something flicker to life for the briefest of seconds when he meets your gaze.

"We both were."

I love a thing where someone cares about someone and thats why they're worried and the worry also means they are a little mad and a little hurt bc fuck, i want to help you, why arent you talking to me about this, did i do something, crossed with the other person doing everything in their power to do the exact thing driving them up the wall, because they genuinely care so much about the other person that its skewing their judgement. People who care and people who fuck up. I'll eat it up every time, and this one is written in a way that feels so real. 👌👌👌👌

this is a newer fic and its still in progress atm and so theres a chance it gets bumped into NSFW territory 😅 but im really enjoying it!!! The dynamic between Amanda and Angela takes the competitive edge we can see in videos and makes it into something phenomenal. Its got such strong tension and pacing, and its also got. REALLY GOOD COMMUNICATION. People react realistically and have reasonable fears and doubts but everyone also talks about them and trusts each other and its just so satisfying to read as a result. And it STILL does the tension and the 👀👀👀👀👀 so well. Guess its kind of funny to put this and the prior recc right next to each other but I genuinely love both of these. Communication and humans are weird.

i love a disaster angela fic as much as anyone but because I feel like that trope is established among smosh rpf, I love having that get subverted even more. More Amanda getting comforted!!! yeah!!!!!And the way the dynamic and emotions are written in this one is especially satisfying to me, they all feel very real, and sweet. :') Also, Im always a sucker for the trope where someone tries to deflect from their issues by taking care of someone else and then gets CALLED OUT FOR IT. also, double bonus, this fic can be read completely platonically. :]

gah this one has so many layers and elements to it, its such a damn delight to reread. the bittersweetness of it all really 👌👌👌👌. Grudging respect and admiration in an awful space, magnetism of people who both deeply want to love each other and really don't (but they do). The world feels very realized and that's so important bc the fic clearly sets up the interplay as like. The two of them and also the world they are in as a distinct three players in the story. This fic has so many emotions!!! gut punch of an end! you feel for both of them so deeply by the end.

i've been having revelations by @poppyfamily

slight cheating bc this is courtmangela but it should still count imo!!! It contains another classic trope of people who care about each other deeply and it being percieved by other people before they clock it themselves. Its something I like specifically as a writing trope and only executed in specific ways- caring deeply and being affectionate does not HAVE to mean you want to sleep with or are in love with someone, and IRL assumptions about that can be. Infuriating. But love how this fic does it. :) Also its funny and it feels very genuine and the voices all sound. right. I love fics with lots of cuts where so much is said in tiny details and tiny moments, it makes the world feel very fleshed out. Also, Courtmangela as a band is just a blessed concept.

Pining RPF Amanda is SO important to my brain, and that dynamic of an Amanda silently losing her mind and Angela also silently losing her mind but slightly more at peace about it, combined with their very genuine friendship keeping things fine and then. and THEN. well.

hey this fic is hot as hell. Its extremely well written. But also besides the nsfw parts the banter and the sort of instant connection all feel very real and unforced and i love that the end of the fic feels so open ended but also so light and hopeful and sweet. choosing to believe they meet for coffee the next day and it all goes swimmingly.

this fic is about amanda in the submissive and breedable outfit and angela. It accomplishes eveeything you could want from that. Its Very nsfw. its VERY good. Writing smut is difficult on multiple levels- keeping it logistically and emotionally sound while keeping it spicy. It does all three really well. also the aftercare moment is really sweet. :]

bonus: its the subject of this ask so i didnt include it but shout out to an angel in neon blue- the tension is INCREDIBLE and the way the ending recontextualizes everything and leaves you unsure who was really in control the whole time is like. really impressive. The characterization is SO strong and feels so true to the Sarah Christ we know and creates an equally strong Creekside Killer characterization to juxtapose it. 👌

Unfinished Friday

Thank you to the lovely people who have tagged me recently in WIP snip posts - pls expect reblogs soon, I am sort of off Tumblr atm and have a lot to catch up on but I am so grateful to be tagged and to get to read all your fucking phenomenal writing. Writing loads atm. Long wartime AU/ multiverse fic is progressing well. Here is a snip from it. Seven years after the war began, Draco has gone undercover with the Death Eaters to try to get close to Voldemort. Draco visits the Order HQ when he can. Draco and Harry are best friends and have been hooking up in secret. They're also in love but haven't really talked about it.

Downstairs in the Order meeting, Draco had been chilly and controlled—a gloved fist, a bridled Abraxan. He had barely looked at Harry the whole way through the meeting, but after the reports were all in, he had stood up in front of everyone and held a hand out to Harry across the table, and Harry had leaned right over to him and taken it. It didn’t seem to matter anymore who knew, or what they thought. There was no need for the smallness of subtleties in the face of something so horribly huge as Draco having to leave, again and again and again.

Together they made for the stairs, bumping shoulders as they went out the big double doors, Harry’s skin overheated where Draco’s hand made a bracelet round his wrist, not caring who was looking. They ignored the wolf whistle that followed them (Malfoy, no doubt, the smug prick), racing together up the steps two at a time until they reached their corridor and then finally Draco was a warm and moving thing under Harry’s demanding hands.

And he was different here in the shifting shadows of their old shared room, both of them jammed into Harry’s single bed, the moon a sick yellowed disc through the window. He looked glossy and well-fed, flesh solid over his ribs when Harry spanned them greedily with both hands, skin soft and rich-smelling, his hair swooping over one eye with the sheen of a starling's wing. His clothes, discarded on the floor, were too formal, too many pinnings and fastenings, too stiff with ornamentation and embellishments. He looked like what he was, Harry supposed; Lord Malfoy, the Viscount.

As Harry tried to undo him, he wondered for a moment how easily Draco slipped back beneath the trappings, but then he felt the frantic tap of Draco’s pulse under his fingertips and the familiar warmth of his breath as he pressed a kiss to the corner of Harry’s mouth, carelessly, like he couldn’t wait any longer, and Harry knew he had him back.

“How long have you got?” Harry asked, breathless already, fingers slipping wet with lube over Draco’s skin, and Draco kissed him almost angrily.

“Long enough,” he said. “We have time. God, you’re all I can think about.”

I try to respond to as many as I can! Sometimes I run out of words to say (communication has never been my strong suit) but I read every single one and they always make me smile.

What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

This is the most I have ever projected my personal experience onto a fic. I was going through a breakup at the time and not handling it very well, and writing a breakup fic really helped me cope with it at the time.

I'm doing much better now, and my ex and I are on good terms. Even though the ending to the fic itself was angsty, I'd like to imagine that the characters are doing better now as well.

What is the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Most of my fics tend to have happy endings, but if I had to pick the most satisfying happy ending it would be lover, please stay.

Most of this fic is pretty angsty, but the ending makes it all worth it I think!

Do you get hate on fics?

Thankfully I haven't received any nasty comments. I did receive a kind of weird comment once, but I completely forget what it even was.

Do you write smut?

I never did before I got into the shameless fandom, and then I kind of went crazy with it after that.

Craziest crossover:

I've never written a crossover before. It's not something I've ever considered or even know if I would want to do.

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Many times with my ex, back when we were still dating. It was a lot of fun and definitely something I'd like to try again in the future! I've always enjoyed collaborating with other people.

Favorite ship I've written for? Tarlos. Favorite ship I've never written for? Tiva, aka Tony and Ziva from ncis. I also love Densi (Deeks and Kensi) from ncis la.

What's a wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

I have not written a chaptered fic in years and it is something I would really like to do. I have several ideas including a detective au that I've floated between two separate fandoms, but I still haven't been able to make any progress regarding those wips.

What are your writing strengths?

Angst and introspection! I love getting into a character's head and psychoanalyzing them (I am a psych student, after all 😂) and I also love writing sad shit. I'm a sucker for pain, it seems.

What are your writing weaknesses?

Transitions. We all know them, we all loathe them.

Thoughts on dialogue in another language?

If it makes sense for the situation/characters, of course! I wouldn't go overboard with it though, since I don't actually speak any other languages myself.

First fandom you wrote in:

Minecraft youtube, but like the old school kind. Around 2014-2015ish. And I physically wrote everything down in little journals. Fanfic was only something that existed in my head at the time until I discovered the likes of ff.net.

Favorite fic you've written:

My most recent fic always becomes my favorite, and that holds true today too!

This is something I'm incredibly proud of, and it's also my longest fic to date and something I wasn't sure I would ever be able to finish. I'm still kind of in disbelief that it's finally real.

Beta wanted

anyone want to beta read/help me out with some Tuggoffelees fics? I have so many ideas (i have 5 fics in progress atm, each in different stages) and would really like to get some of my stuff out there eventually. Some are NSFW, some are not. I've been told that I phrase things weird (literally every single English teacher I've had) so an extra set of eyes or two would be great. I am mostly bad at formatting dialogue, using too many pronouns/names, run on sentences, and overuse of commas.

Since I had two of these in my inbox, this will be my writers edition of small joys.

That moment when you just find the right word or turn of phrase for the job. I am working towards being a little more poetic in my writing, and a big part of that is finding the right combination of words while being really sparing in how many words I use. Quality over quantity. It's hard lol so when I get it right - it's magic.

Honestly, I have to put kudos/comments on this list. I've grappled with numbers in the past, and I definitely try not to give them too much power - but there is no joy like hearing that your story has moved someone (and I include kudos in that). That's always going to be a pleasure.

I'm engaged in a rewriting of my very first fic series atm, and I'm finding daily pleasure in bringing out the story as I always imagined it but simply didn't have the skills to do at the time (back in 2020). It's exciting to be able to revisit the story that started it all, and write it again, but better.

Honestly - who can say that simply finishing something isn't the absolute best feeling a writer can have? To look at a thing complete and be like - yeah. This is what I wanted to make and I made it. I still get this feeling towards older work of my own - The Good Spartan in particular - and it's been a year? two? I dunno. But I still can't believe I did it.

And of course, there's so much joy to be found in just - progress. Even if it's not even visible until you look back - but seeing moments in your older writing where you realise, yeah - I really shifted there. I *got it* - what I was doing wrong, what I needed to do - or whatever. Its the beautiful thing about writing - that we never stop learning how to do it. We never stop evolving. I love that.

1. How many works do you have on A03? 19 atm but that's about to become a lot more from next month lmao.

2. What’s your total A03 word count? 46,413

3. What fandoms do you write for? The Vampire Chronicles and as of right now, nothing else.

4. What are your top five fics by kudos? Nothing's Fair in Love and War Drunken Matrimony Lupercalia Experimentations and The Long Road

5. Do you respond to comments? I do, always!! I love responding to comments, it's one of my favourite things about writing fics tbh.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? The way I've had to think about this for too long because several of my fics could fit here. I think I'd say The Long Road because although there is hope (and the knowledge from canon) that things will get better for Louis, but he's still in the depths of his darkness and there's such a long way to go re: his recovery. That or Let Sleeping Lions Lie. (I would've said my siren au, but I think that's more my darkest ending to a fic, as opposed to the angstiest.)

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? I'd say it's either Second Chances or Drunken Matrimony. I think they're also very sweet endings.

8. Do you get hate on fics? No, no that I know of anyway. If anyone is hating on my fics, I don't know about it.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? I do but it's canon compliant, so no actual sex. There's two reasons for that: 1.) because I'm not quite there yet with wanting to write full on smut and 2.) because I genuinely just really enjoy writing canon complaint smut. As much as I really love reading smut, I feel like there should be more fics that embrace and explore the vampire's canon asexuality. It's a part of canon that I really enjoy and think is very important, so I like to bring some of that into my fics too!

Also, when it comes to Louis' character in particular, imo anyway, it's a good insight into him during IWTV. Because even though it's not actual sex, I find it interesting to explore how he might be reluctant to even just share blood in an intimate manner, because of his repression re: his queerness in that time.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? I haven't written any crossovers yet and I don't know that I ever will tbh. It's just not something I see myself writing.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? No, I hope not anyway. I'm not aware of it if that has happened.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated? I haven't, but if anyone ever wanted to, that would be cool.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? No, but I'd totally be down to if someone wanted to co-write with me one day!

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? Ngl, I always intend on finishing any WIPs I have. Even if it takes me a while, I will always try to complete one if I've already started it.

16. What are your writing strengths? I think just the fact that I'm able to wing it. I don't plan anything when I'm writing. I always have a basic idea as to what I want the fic to be about, but when it comes to actually writing it, I don't plan/draft anything. I just go for it and make it up as I go.

17. What are your writing weaknesses? I'm trying to improve on making my fics longer. I think I'm slowly getting better, but there's still progress to be made lmao.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? I quite like it. I have written some small bits in French but that's using Google translate. (ik, ik. Not overly accurate) I think if the character speaks another language that they would use relatively frequently, then I think it can be quite good to add it in.

19. First fandom you wrote for? I'd like to say TVC, which is technically right, but years ago when I was still in school, I had to do some creative writing for English, and I did write what was basically Crimson Peak fanfic. So depending on how you look at it, it's either Crimson Peak or TVC.

And actually, now I think about it, ever since primary school, I've always based my creative writing for school off things I was into. So on that basis, who knows what my first ever fic was about lmfao. For the sake of this, we'll say it's TVC.

20. Favourite fic you’ve written? Tbh, I don't know if I have a favourite. All my fics are my babies, and if I try to say just one of them, then I'll just be like "Oh wait actually, what about this one? Oh but I really love this one too!" And it would keep going until I've mentioned all of them, so I can't choose.

i've gotten some salt, some mean bookmarks, and exactly ONE hate comment on don't be a stranger (which i keep there as a badge of honor 🤩). but other than that people have been really respectful to me and supportive of my writing. it makes me really happy to be part of this community!

yo, having 6k in chapter 3 is amazing. good for you!

my first playthrough i got the white arabian and i named her Lemoyne Tree as a tribute to the state of Lemoyne and my favorite post malone song Lemon Tree. But she always got super dirty so i then went to the lake next to Strawberry and tamed the red chestnut arabian. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that one, she's gorgeous and arthur always gets that one when i play it. my beautiful baby girl Diablo <3

Charles deserves the absolute world. just listening to him speak and hanging out with him at camp, and the missions you continue on to do with him throughout the game are so much fun. charles is someone i wish i could have in my real life because he seems like he would be the best person to speak to and hang out with. he is so lovely and down to earth. even arthur says it a couple times throughout the game. charles gets a good ending i promise.

my top blorbos are Arthur, Dutch, Charles, Hosea, and Josiah Trelawny my absolute beloved <33333 just wait until you go on the mission with Charles to find trelawny. one of my favorite missions ever ever ever ever!!

HEHEHEHEHH OF COURSE!!! and the reason for that is probably bc i haven’t posted very many details about them!! most of my rambles have been contained to dms with two of my friends and a currently 2.4k word doc of word and idea vomit 👍

anything posted before the most recent ask hasn’t been tagged correctly either, iirc i had a brief summary of the group a while ago though, tagged with “nightcord wxs” i think?? cause i didn’t have a name for them yet at the time. not changing it cause i’ve figured out more stuff since then so it’s sort of outdated. there’s probably a few posts lost in the marlo’s stuff tag, though that i didn’t tag properly but it’s okay those rambles are probably somewhere in my google doc.

anyway, since you didn’t rlly specify something in particular i’m probably just gonna ramble about whatever comes to mind. once again under the cut cause i can tell this is probably gonna get a bit long:

hollow ☆ wonderland is an online music group, and their videos are like kikuo style ones. but not necessarily ones like you are a useless child and aishite, more ones like and then you became the moon, welcome to the star inn, don’t look at me in that way, etc. pretty cutesy and happy sounding with a cute art style and then the lyrics tell a pretty dark story. that’s their general vibe. there’s a few songs i associate with them like judas by abuse (like i mentioned before) but i can’t confidently say it’s the kind of music they’d make. maybe that’ll change though we’ll see.

the group is composed of hoshi (tsukasa) the main lyricist, koki (emu), the artist, tako (rui) the animator and eventual co-lyricist, and kurage (nene), the composer.

they’re all silly online friends who like making music videos together and while none of them really talk about their issues pre-main story given that they’re not super close/don’t know each other super well yet, they still enjoy doing this together and care at least a little bit about each other.

i’m still figuring out how exactly the main story goes, but i’ve definitely made more progress now so HOPEFULLY i figure out a coherent story soon. i rlly do want to write a fic for them but don’t get your hopes up too much.

a few basic ideas i do have currently are some stuff like tsukasa, despite also being on his last hopes like the rest of them, is going to be the one to really encourage them all to start theater again. their sekai is a rundown theme park with lots of fireflies around, all the plushies are still there but they’re also worn down and have lots of patches and stuff on them. wonder stage has been closed down already, but it hasn’t been like torn down or replaced with a new attraction or anything. will it make a comeback? will hw be using it? we will see :)

i think the world hasn’t even started yet is still gonna be their untitled too. i’m thinking for their unit fits it’s gonna be something similar to the circus jester set cards? or at least the face paint thing. i’m absolutely giving them the face paint thing. and then there’s some other plot ideas i have but i’m not totally sure about them yet and i dunno how much sense they make on their own so i’m not gonna add them here.

uh. tsukasas name is hoshi since it means star iirc? so obviously he gets that name. koki meant something like to glitter, to shine, and i think emu would have liked that enough to choose it. and i already mentioned why rui and nenes names are what they are 👍

I must be feeling better because I'm excited to talk about writing again. lol I've been re-reading some of my old work and I think I know what I'd like to focus on this year.

Current In-Progress Series or WIPs: I'd like to prioritize some of my long fic WIPs first and finish those first. That includes:

Insatiable (Solomon x Reader x Others) (three chapters)

The Edge of Heaven (Michael x Reader x Simeon) (one chapter)

Divine Revelations (Michael x Reader) (two chapters)

Enchantment (Lucifer x Reader) (one or two chapters)

Discipline (Mephisto x Reader) (one chapter)

Other Series/WIPs: Stuff that belongs to the Creepy Castle AU or Pokemon AU are unrelated fics that don't have a set "ending." I'll still write for both of these when inspiration strikes. I do have a couple things for both of them in my drafts already though.

OC Content: My priority is revamping their bio pages and finishing Karasu's story. It spans the first year/S1 of the og! game and most of it is outlined already. That being said, OC characters are automatically part of the pool of characters I can write asks/prompts for and that includes Zee now too.

Current Asks/Requests: I've read them all even if I'm not accepting requests (which I haven't been for a while). There are some in my drafts, and the rest have been tucked away into my rainy day ideas folder.

Future Fics Ideas: I have a crossover mini-series for WHB outlined. I'm also considering a crossover for another game I'm sort of obsessed with atm. Some of the things I want to write are selfship-coded so I might post them on my personal blog instead of posting them here.

In all seriousness yeah, especially since I’m back in school I’ve gotten too impatient to wait to finish writing before progressing. I just make notes of things I wouldn’t know at a certain point and also have a good record of my live reactions from a channel I update when I play LOL. I like to keep the spoiler barrier up though just in case people still playing the game come across it

Ch. 4 spoilers under the cut. PS I saw your massive comment on my most recent piece, I’m swamped with school atm but I so so appreciate how much you get into my fics, even when I just see you around it’s nice, I think you’ll like what I have in store for the future (be excited and scared)

Man when I tell you I fucking BAWLED. I was inconsolable for a good hour. And it’s so funny because in hindsight there were so many clues leading back to it being Yakou, but I literally did just block the possibility out of my brain because I couldn’t even begin to conceptualize it, especially with how distraught I was that he was already dying. The only thing that got me to finally consider it was when the possibility of Huesca leading the detectives in there to kill them came up, WHICH, MIGHT I ADD, he HAD to at least have had a hunch that would have happened because he banked on them getting Ama-Pal to break in which was literally the only way he could have gotten in there. But that’s a tangent for another day, I have a massive Yakou character analysis/rant in the works because I love him so fucking much, he is the dad of all time.

Besides the heartbreak it was a fucking fantastic chapter though, I wish we could have played a bigger role in the Yomi takedown but seeing him get put in his place was beyond fucking satisfying. ALSO I CALLED MARTINA NOT BEING DEAD because I figured he’d flaunt it so hard if he had physical evidence of her execution, so when she showed back up I was GIDDY. She deserves better

I’ve compiled a list of music terms, and I’m trying to determine if I can make them sound sexy, or like naaaah. My sexy radar is broken whenever I write anything involving smut, so that’ll be interesting.

Other than sex, I’m making progress on the Untitled fic where SW teams with a sword holding K’s spirit. First draft is starting after some intensely vague outlining. So far, it’s looking to have 14 chapters, but that may change when I hit the rewriting part.

I’m trying to juggle how many enemies is too much, and if two characters can be one character. That’s what drafts are for though.

The fic I’m looking forward to is Letter from a Friend, but I’m stumped on it atm. Frustrating.

Because “Untitled” is longer than usual, I’ll be switching back and forth on other projects, so I may end up posting a random fic out of the blue.
