Suiiiii, hi hi hi
Idk if you mess with Ikevil or not, but may I request an edit or two of William Rex holding random things? His sprite has the perfect I'm-cupping-something pose, help 😭
hi atelier! i don’t mess with ikevil sorry 😅 i’m sticking to my charismatic hero, leon dompteur, the fourth prince. (if there was a game about heroic characters tho i’d be all up in there fr)
but i did rex guy plus some others because why not?
so this rex fellow, vlad look-alike guy, i don’t know much about him but here he is, holding some syrup because i think everyone likes syrup.
his nails slay but like is he gonna cut them for the uh… you know… the times when they are unclothed..?
next is this even more depressed-looking lancelot. or perhaps a more emo chevalier idk you choose. i gave him tissues because he looks like he’s about to cry any second.
then we have this guy, he looks like he about to recruit me for his cult or something. but he’s got luscious locks so i thought having him hold shampoo matches him. why are their nails so long? is it a villain thing?
here we have charles but if he accidentally ate loki and became loki or something? in honor of loki, the cheshire cat, i gave him some yarn.
i was going to also do that sebastian-the-demon-one-hell-of-a-butler-in-service-to-a-13-year-old-british-boy-looking guy, but i couldn’t think of something he could hold
i think his name is alfonse? idk how to spell it but yeah he looks like he’s about to say “yes my lord” and then kill a bunch of people for a small boy with a cane.

Miguel: Every Spiderman follows the cannon. There are no deviations. There are no exceptions.
Spidergang with no dead uncles, their friend Gwen is fine, Sheriff Bronson didn't die saving a kid, etc. because four super powered teens and one super dog can cover a lot of bases and help each other better than one dude helping New York alone with only Daredevil and Deadpool sometimes: Yall hear sumn?

Voice actors are NOT the same as actors.
It takes a specific kind of skill-set and training to be able to warp and meld the voice. It takes a certain kind of talent and dedication to hone that talent into the ability to meld the voice and invoke emotion with one's voice alone. Actors are used to using their voice secondarily to their body language and their facial expressions. It's all mirrored back on camera. They do have nuance. But it's a different kind of nuance and a different kind of training to produce that nuance.
Voice actors might get their likeness transposed on their character's design, and maybe their mannerisms might seep into the character's animation. But when it's all said and done: their presence is in their voice. They are bringing a character to life, showing that emotion in their voice, trying to keep a specific accent, drawl, pitch, tone in that voice and keep it consistent for their recording sessions.
The voice actor is like a classically trained musician who can play first chair in a competitive, world-renown orchestra. The actor (who fills the voice actor's role) is like a moot who played violin in beginner and intermediate high school orchestra and thinks they can get into Juilliard with that 2-4 years of experience.
This doesn't mean that the HS orchestra moot can't play. They can even be really good at it. Maybe they won competitions and sat first chair. But they are not in the same league as the person who's been training their whole lives and lives and breathes to hone their craft using the instrument and all of the training they've ever acquired to perfect it. They are not meant for the same roles. They are not in the same caliber. You do not hire the HS equivalent when you want to play complex music in a competitive orchestra.
Actors are not the same as voice actors.
And furthermore, actors - especially big name actors - taking the roles of animated characters for big budget films or TV pilots makes no sense anyways when - at least in the case of TV pilots - there's not a point to hiring a big budget actors anyways. That money could be used elsewhere (like paying your animators), and the talent that is brought onto the screen for X character could then be hired on to voice said character no recasting required.
I wouldn't say voice acting as a profession is in danger exactly, but it's certainly being disrespected and overlooked for celebrity clout, and this has ALWAYS been an issue. Shoot, even Robin Williams knew that much - which is why he tried so hard not to be used as a marketing chess piece for Aladdin and got royally pissed off when it happened anyways. People shouldn't go to any movie (but especially not animated films) because "oh famous actor is in it". People should go because it's a good movie and the voice acting is good.
People who honest to god think that voice actors are replaceable because "oh well anyone can voice act" or "I like xyz celebrity so naturally it'll be good" ... Honestly I just wish you'd reassess your priorities because you're missing the point and are part of the problem.
Voice Actors ≠ Actors.

Look I like Roger enough, I understand what he represents and I generally don’t think he was a bad dude. I do however think he was shit at interpersonal relationships because, what the fuck. Whitebeards crew is infinitely more well adjusted and I’d say he arguably had the more traumatic death.
Like what even, what kind of planning leads a 53 year old man to sire a child knowing he is dying of an incurable illness and is about to turn himself in to be excuted by the marines where he will cause so much chaos it is literally still turning the world on its head 22 years later. He knew he was going to cause so much of a stir that he literally disbanded his crew and told them to spread far and wide to keep them safe. Because he knew the marines would hunt them far and wide But yet he still brought a baby into the world. Babe. What the fuck? What even is that? What was the thought process. I sincerely hope it was an accident and not a deliberate attempt to bring about a new era.
Because if so babe I need to see the recipe or I’m afraid we can never let you cook again

Oda keeps introducing all these found families of misfits and I keep falling for it every single time. I am a simple gal and the Found Family trope owns my ass. They’re all so different but written so fucking well and I am sobbing over every single one of them.

Here's beIN Sports France special episode on Federer's retirement where a room full of professional sports journalists basically fanboyed over Fedal for 1h30mins.
Includes: *ehem* professional dissection of the handholding moment complete with a comparative analysis of their similar interaction in 2005, an interview with the legend Pascal Maria (their 2008 Wimbledon umpire AKA wedding officiator), and everyone basically giving up trying to make sense of their relationship and concluded at minute 27:00 by simply saying
"Ils s'adorent" = They love each other.
