Being at the Avengers Compound on your day off used to be weird. Avengers are cool and all, and you’re very appreciative for the chance to be considered ‘part of the team’ even if you only worked in the Medbay. No one wants to hang around their place of work when they don’t need to be. Then you started seeing a certain blue-eyed brunette super soldier.

So here you are walking through the main hallways to the the gym and passing a good amount of agents and techs enjoying their breaks. Then you hear your name being called. You look up from your phone and see Aaliyah, a friend of yours that works in the special equipment department (aka Avengers Weapons Only). You walk up to the cafe where her and some other work mates like to frequent.

“Hey Liyah, I didn’t know you were working today.”

She brings you in for a side hug. “I know, I’m not supposed to be, but Mr. Wilson just had to call me on my day off about fixing redwing.” Her cool demeanor shudders as the Falcon’s name coasts out of her lips.

You smirk. “I think he would prefer if you just called him Sam or your boyfriend. Your pick.”

She covers her face and shakes her head. “How about we talk about why you’re here on your day off? The Medbay is about 6 floors up and on the other side of campus.”

“Hey, I’m completely fine with saying I’m here for my man.” 

The light cockiness in your voice paints a mischievous grin on her lips. “Oh speaking of your boyfriend, does Barnes know how to use a pc- no a toaster- nope a smartphone?”

“Oh fuck off, is that what yall actually think?” You scoff as a people 10ft away from you shake their heads. “No fucking way, you can’t be serious!”

“Girl half of these people have never even seen him in person and they work in the same building he lives in.” Kyla, another nurse, says from the end of the table.

You roll your eyes and look at Aaliyah. “For real?” She nods her head.

“You know he wasn’t frozen for 70 years straight right? He couldn’t be a spy if he didn’t know how to blend in.” 

“How does he work a phone with the metal arm though?” She asks as someone comes up behind her.

“He has a flip phone, gotta remember he’s an old man.” Sam chuckles as she jolts out of her skin.

“You asshole! I told you to wait downstairs.” He shrugs and throws an arm around her. 

“You said you’d be back by 2:30, now I’m a punctual man baby. I waited a whole 5 minutes before tracking you down.” She buries her face in his chest to hide how he flustered her with the pet name. So cute.

“You should be going too, the old man has not stopped talking about you since we got here. I swear I’m gonna ask for a new mission partner.” You smile then hug them goodbye.

The walk from the break center/ cafeteria to the weapons testing arena and gym is a 5 minute straight shot. It also where you’d more times than not find your boyfriend. In the miniscule chance that he isn’t, you could probably find him in a conference room, with Captain Rogers outside lapping civilians or his suite. The kitchen exactly because those soldiers can eat. 

But the second those sliding doors open to his personal gun range, you see him just like you knew you would. He sat on a stool at a table with his muscular back adorned in a form fitting black henley and black jeans that emphasized his ridiculously thick thighs. His neck length brown hair is tied up in an adorable blue silk scrunchie as he dissembles his favorite rifle to clean it. You lean against the door frame just admiring the man’s beauty for a while more. He most definitely knows your behind him thanks to his enhances senses and experience as a spy, but that would not stop you from-

“Enjoying the view pretty girl?” Exactly, he gets it.

You smile and walk up to him, “absolutely.” You hum hugging his back and tracing your short almond acrylics across his abdomen.

A strong warm hand covers yours as he chuckles, a deep almost gravely laugh that electrifies every cell in your body. “I’ll be done in a couple minutes, then we can go.” 

You watch from over his shoulder the way his hands work in tandem to polish each nook and cranny of the gun. His vibraninum fingers curling around the body of it cause a shiver down your spine as you think about the nights you spend withering in his bed thanks to them. You shake those thoughts away and lay your head on his shoulder.

He brings one of your hands up and places his soft lips to your knuckles. “Fuck you smell so good. I knew you were coming before you hit the door.” He groans extending the kiss to your wrist before placing your hand back on his stomach.

“It’s your favorite, and you haven’t even seen the whole outfit yet.” 

He lets out another one of those heavenly chuckles. “Aw baby, did you get all dressed up for me?” The gun clicks shut and you feel yourself spinning around to face him.

“You like?” He takes your hand and you beam as he spins your once more. 

Since you were just going to a drive in movie, you paired a simple black top with your his favorite pair of dark gray baggy jeans that hug your waist and accentuate your ass just the way he likes. You couldn’t go wrong with some gold jewelry that shines beautifully on your brown skin. The whole look complimented itself.

Your 4c hair on the other hand didn’t want to cooperate this morning, the week old braid out was at its wits end and desperately needs all the mousse and gel washed out of it. So you did what you had to, found a giant hair tie, slicked your edges back and finger coiled a few strands in the front to give the look back some of it’s life. 

He nods biting his lip and looking you up and down. “You look just how you smell: decadent, like one of those death by chocolate cakes you love. And like you want to spend the rest of this weekend in my bed naked.” He smirks.

You hook your arms around his neck, step into the spot between his strong legs. “Well Mr. Barnes, we can’t have that. You promised me dinner and movie and the look’s not complete yet.” 

He raises a brow and dips his face to yours. “Oh yea,” he says huskily. “What could possibly be missing? You already have the body glitter.” The takes an imaginary bite out of your glazed arm. You nod at the leather jacket hanging on the hook by the door and he grins instantly.

“Go walkin’ around in that and everyone will know you’re mine.” He growls, his crystal blues deepening in hue flickering from your eyes to your lips.

“Maybe that’s exactly what I want.” You whisper against his lips tilting your head to connect them to yours.

His soft lips melted into yours perfectly, your hands pull on the hair tie locking away his silky locks and gently pull at them. He groans languidly licking into your mouth and swiftly lifting you into his lap, his hands holding firmly on your ass. Just like that it feels like the first time. Your heat beating heavily against your chest while you learn each other mouths. Tugging at his roots a bit more you nip his bottom lip and smile.

“You love playing with fire love.” 

You cheekily chuckle pulling back, “I have no idea what you’re talking about.” 

He squeezes your cheeks then playfully smacks one inciting a gasp from you. “A dangerous, dangerous game that could cost you your night.”

“Aw but my favorite movie is playing.” Your fake pout morphs itself into a smirk. “Or maybe I wanted to makeout with my hot Brooklyn boyfriend in public without anyone knowing.” He bites his lip as you look at him with siren eyes.

“And people wonder why I can’t stop talking about you, my girl is a damn minx. Fuck it, lets go.” He sighs as you jump off his lap and grab his leather jacket.

While he’s securely putting away his rifle, you look over at him and smirk putting on the jacket. “Thanks daddy.”

His eyes go wide as you walk out the door giggling.

Gotta love date night.

What are your thoughts on each of the Ninja? I'm just curious

Ooooo okokok this is going to be so long, I'm going to explain my first impression of them when I was a child and how it has changed over time.

Cole: I really didn't care much about Cole when I saw the series for the first time, like, as I remember he was my least favorite character on the team and he seemed boring to me. Now? Easily my favorite ninja. It's funny because of the team it's easily the one I identify with the most in terms of personality. I LOVE how most of his arcs have to do with the potential of his elemental powers, probably one of the ninjas who has grown the most in terms of skills over the course of the series. I know I don't talk much about the way they develop him and how much he matures throughout the series, especially how he becomes more and more open with the team, but he is one of my favorite characters.

Zane: I always liked Zane and he always remained my second favorite ninja. One of the parts I like most about his development is how he becomes more confident and sassy, especially in the new seasons. What I do not like is how many other ninjas's jokes about him are limited to "Zane, we need to adjust your honest/sarcasm ciurcuits", etc. It gets pretty tiring and somewhat contradicts the whole point of his character to be reminded that he's a nindroid when the whole point is that he actually sometimes ends up being a lot more human than everyone else but that's it. (ALSO Why did the writers forget that he had a falcon?)

Lloyd: sooo Lloyd is a complicated one because I don't really have strong feelings about his character. I guess one thing that kept me away every time I rewatched the show was thinking that he's like they put every cliche of a protagonist in a blender and most of his arcs feel that "predictable" when you compare him to the others. BUT I like what they are doing with his character on DR and I think it is his best season so far, SO definitely in DR it is more entertaining to see his development and his relationship with the kids.

Kai: Kai is a character that for me... is fine, I don't love him too much like most of the fandom. Again I think that in DR they are doing justice to his character since he feels that in Wildbrainera he was quite forgettable as if the creators didn't know what to do with him (like, I'm not a fan of his arc in S11 because we have definitely seen that lesson a Lot of times). I really love the development of him anyway and his relationship with Nya & Lloyd is one of the best parts of the series.

Nya: I'm going to be honest, I only started to like Nya in S9, before that with the sexist way the writers wrote her in the first seasons when I first saw the series I found her annoying (and S3 and S6 didn't help) . I think her character definitely improved after the Oni trilogy onwards because the creators began to give her REAL CHARACTER FLAWS and take her more seriously because then I started to like her character more.

Jay: soo, when I saw the series for the first time Jay instantly became my favorite ninja. I liked that there was a balance between the sarcastic jokes and the fact that he would then do something surprising like being the first to do spinjitsu, being a genius on roller skates, him shooting in space, etc. It's those moments in which he proved to be the thinker outside the box of the team that were very entertaining along with his humor, his powers, the duality in which he could be a bastard, an idiot and a genius at the same time was what made him that was my favorite on the team

Now, I'm not a fan of Jay when it comes to the new seasons where they basically removed all the traits I'm listing and turned him into a man child who only makes pee jokes. They literally took away EVERYTHING that made him a useful member of the team, he is a completely different character that really the only thing he has is... he is just the "uwu guy on the team". Honestly, it could be a whole essay explaining how I hate Jay from S11 onwards but I'll just leave it at that I hope DR gives him real development (and for a change it doesn't have to do with Nya)

Being a member of the Air Force had never been easy. You’ve faced criticism during your whole career. Look, it’s not your fault that basic training is easier for your military branch than for the rest. That didn’t make the job any easier. 

You’ve been in Afghanistan several times, the last time trying to evacuate as many people as possible. It was one of the hardest things you’ve ever had to do. 

Right now, you’re enjoying a few days off with your boyfriend Jake and his friends. You traveled all the way to North Island to be with him and his squad, who you haven’t actually met before in person, only through FaceTime or videos that Jake sent you. 

“So, Y/n, Jake didn’t tell us your call sign!” says Coyote handing you a beer. “He’s really mysterious about it.” 

“Told ya, if you want to know, ask them. Not me” Jake says, sitting next to you after his turn at pool. He had enough drinks already, and you think it’s time for you to go home, but you and the squad are having such a good time that you don’t want to take away from them this bonding time after all they’ve been through these past weeks. 

“It’s Falcon. Yes, like the Marvel superhero.” 

“And why Falcon?” this time it is Phoenix who asks. 

“I dressed as him for Halloween” you shrug. 

“Bullshit. They do BASE jumping in their free time” 

“What? Oh my god, Hangman, you’re dating a badass” Fanboy is already impressed by your abilities. You smile at him, he’s one of your favorite members of the Dagger squad.

“Well, you have to look for a bit of action outside the job when working in the Air Force, you know?” Jake says, making every member of his squad stop moving and look at him, with widened eyes. 

“Oh yeah?” you ask, leaving your beer at the bar. “How so?” 

“C’mon, babe. You fly people to the target and then go back to base. It’s like being a commercial pilot” he says, laughing. You hope he’s joking because it’s not funny to disrespect your job like that. 

“All right, I think we should get ready to leave. Why don’t we go to that dinner we went to last week?” Payback tries to stop the argument when he sees the look in your eyes, but you’re not going to stay quiet. Not today. And it doesn’t matter how drunk he is.  

“Do you remember I went to Afghanistan and rescued thousands of people?” you cross your arms, standing in front of him. 

“You know a drone could have done that same job?” he retorts. 

“Says the man whose only air-to-air kill was a museum piece from the Korean War. Well, at least you have new material to use now, with that fifth-gen fighter” You can be mad at him right now, but you have to admit that he is a good pilot. Nothing can take that away from him. Even him being an asshole right now. 

“Well, at least I’ll still have a job in three years. What about you, honey? Will you still have a job?”

The slap can be heard in every corner of the room. Penny, who had been serving drinks, turns around to find the source, and it’s a bit flabbergasted to see it was you who has slapped a man. And your man, to be more precise. 

“Guys, it’s been an honor to meet you at last, but I think it’s time for me to go” you pull the keys of Jake’s house out of your pocket and throw them to the owner. “I’m staying at a hotel tonight” 

“Babe, it was a joke. C’mon, don’t be like that!” Rooster stops Hangman from chasing after you. “Bradshaw, let me go” 

“Not tonight, buddy. You sober up, and you talk to them tomorrow” 

It takes Jake a few hours to find you the next day, but he finally finds your car parked outside one of the hotels next to the base. You are not answering his calls, not even his messages and he’s worried he had fucked up for good the most important thing in his life: your relationship. 

See, he’s not going to lie. He is a fucking idiot and an asshole when he gets drunk. That’s why, usually, Rooster stops him from drinking too much, just so they don’t get into trouble for his behavior. He is always trying to prove that he is better than the rest of the world when he has a few more drinks than he should. He remembers how he said a month ago, how Maverick needed an ego check. 

Now he’s absolutely and completely certain that the one who needs it, it’s himself. 

He walks into the hotel, just in time to see you returning the keys to your room. You haven’t seen him yet, but he can see enough of your face to know that he has hurt you more than you would ever confess. He can see the heartbreak written all over your face. 

There was only one thing that hurt you more than anything, and it was people discrediting your job. And Hangman doesn’t know if he can make it up to you. 

When you turn around, you’re ready to just walk past him and leave him there, but then you realize what he’s wearing, and you think it’s the most ridiculous thing ever. 

“Where did you get that from?” you ask, signaling to his blue t-shirt. It has ‘Proud Air Force Boyfriend’ written in white letters. 

“I bought it a while back, actually. I just didn’t have the chance to wear it before” he says. 

“Do you mean it or is it just because you don’t want me to be mad anymore?” 

He raises a finger, and then pulls a cap from the back pocket of his jeans. It has your call sign embroidered in the front, with the Air Force logo. “I was planning on wearing this after you came back from your last mission, but I was deployed and well…” 

You sigh, knowing that you won’t be able to stay mad at him for much longer. “Jake, what you said… it really hurt” 

“I know, babe, I know. I was drunk, and I tried to make your job seem less important than mine because I think you’re better than me. Better than any of us. How many times have you been deployed? And you had your fair share of terrible experiences. But you wake up every morning, you smile, and you go to save the world, one day more at a time. And I… I take down aircrafts from the Korean War” 

“It was from the Cold War, babe” you correct him. 

“See? I hurt your feelings and here you are trying to make me feel better. I don’t deserve you” 

“No, you probably don’t. But I love you, and you are out in public with an air force supporting t-shirt in a hotel that is surrounded by relatives of naval aviators. And they’re all looking at you” 

Jake looks at the people in the lobby, but he couldn’t care less. “Darlin', the only person I want to look at me, it’s you. Let me make it up to you, please” he is practically begging. 

“Well, hmmm…. You’re gonna make me a big breakfast” 

“You haven’t eaten breakfast yet? Honey have you seen the ho-”

“I’m telling you the things you need to do if you want to get kisses again from me, you sure want to discuss the lack of food in my body right now?” 

“Nope. Go on, please” 

“Well. Breakfast in bed because I couldn’t sleep last night without you. Then, we’re going to see Pearl Harbor. I’ll fall asleep, and you will cuddle with me all day until I’ve had enough. Then we’ll shower, and you’ll invite me to the best restaurant around here. And I will need many kisses” 

He gets close to you, his hands on your hips. “Why Ben Affleck?” 

“Cause his face is better than yours” you joke. 

“Yet, you want me to kiss you” 

“It’s your punishment. Take it or leave it, Lieutenant” 

“Sounds like a good punishment, First Lieutenant” he says, and you have to smile. “What?” 

“It’s Captain” 

“Always trying to be ahead of me” he kisses your forehead, your nose and then your lips.

“Because I’m better than you” 

“Of course you are, honey”

han solo x reader

note; i don’t know what this even is, but this plot is my absolute favorite. i have two more han requests coming out soon and two more harrison (one a request, one not) but until then, i’ll be feeding you all other han content bc i have a lot of short ones written. also… if y’all have indy requests, send ‘em in, i wanna write for him but have no ideas 😭

han looks so fucking adorable in this gif i can’t-

“okay, now that everyone’s name is helmet, everyone will take turns taking a name.”

“i think we know how it works, luke.” you mumbled, glancing up at the blond, “remind me why we’re doing this?” 

“because it’s almost life day! it’s a fun tradition to take our mind off of the empire.” luke exclaimed. well, first off, the empire should be the main focus considering darth vader was  currently searching for the rebels. and second of all.. you realized that tatooine sure had some strange traditions.

“can we just take names now?” han asked, impatience lacing his tone. “have somewhere to be, solo?” leia questioned. “yeah, actually i do princess, my ships a wreck, i got better things to be doing-“

“guys! come on, this is important to me.” luke said. it wasn’t ideal, but, you’d indulge in this event for the sake of sweet luke skywalker’s happiness. 

“alright, i’m drawing.” you announced, reaching into the helmet, where only four small pieces of paper rested. luke had failed to rope anyone else into this, not even chewie. 

you took a paper, holding it tightly in your fist. “don’t look at it,” luke warned, “yeah yeah, i won’t.” you replied. 

you watched and waited as leia and luke took their names. and of course, han, being the most extra man ever, took about twenty years to reach into the helmet and take the paper.

“there’s only one left, just take it!”

luke set down the helmet, a bright smile on his face, “okay, now, without anyone looking, check who’s name you got.” carefully, you began to unfold the small slip of paper. beside you, han leaned over, trying to peek, you elbowed him lightly, “back off solo.” 

you opened the paper to see the name han solo written in luke’s cursive writing. you refrained from rolling your eyes. why couldn’t you have gotten leia? 

“ooo, you won’t believe who i got.” han said smugly, waggling his eyebrows suggestively at you before winking at leia. 

ah, of course. of course han would end up choosing leia. 

and yet you’d pulled his name. now you had to figure out what the hell you were gonna get him. 

“okay, great! now, life day is in a week, and my family would usually do it the night before, so we have six days to get the gifts ready, which by the way, don’t do anything too big, we don’t have that much options here in the base, oh! and remember: don’t tell anyone who you have.” 

the quartet then dispersed, going on their separate ways. you knew this was going to be a struggle. you were far closer with luke and leia then you were with han. 

you and han were friends… sort of. there was constant bickering, constant flirting, it was a lot to handle, but it all honesty, you didn’t know him that well to know what he’d like. which is why you decided that you needed to talk to chewie. 

you waited until later in the day, you’d seen han leave with leia, they were trying to be discreet but seemed more suspicious then anything. 

you were fairly certain their was some sort of relationship there, but was unable to find any confirmation. 

you approached the falcon where chewie was working. you were thankfully that you’d been studying wookie now that you didn’t have han to translate. 

“chewie! hey, can i talk to you!” you asked. the wookie glanced up from his work, nodding, beckoning you over. you met him on top of the falcon, taking a seat beside him. 

“so, i’m sure han’s told you all about this life day tradition that luke wanted to do.” chewie nodded. 

“right. so, i.. i got han,” you mumbled, “and i have absolutely no clue what to get him, considering you’re his best friend, i thought you could give me an idea.” 

chewie remained silent for a moment before giving you a toothy grin, growling softly.

“i’ve got a few ideas for you.”

“okay! i’m so excited for this, you guys, i don’t think you understand.” luke exclaimed. you were seated criss cross on the floor, han sprawled out beside you while luke and leia were seated on the couch. 

“we’re excited too.” leia said with a smile. you were somewhat excited as well, but mostly nervous. you were suddenly regretting what you’d gotten him. it was already difficult as it is considering you couldn’t really leave hoth so it was left to being creative to find a good gift, plus most of chewie’s ideas were horrid, so you were on your own.

but you felt as if it wasn’t enough now, and you were terrified that he’d absolutely hate it. 

“alright, who wants to start?” 

“why don’t you go, luke?” you suggest, knowing he was bursting at the seams to give his gift. the blonde smiled brightly, retrieving a  gift bag, passing it to the woman beside him. “happy life day, leia.” the brunette took the bag from him, pushing away the tissue paper before retrieving two books. 

“i remember you telling me how interested you were in the galaxy, all the stars and stuff, i found these old astronomy books in storage and thought you might like them.” 

you could tell he was nervous, but leia laughed, “i love these, luke. thank you.” she said, pulling him into a side hug, pressing a gentle kiss to his cheek, the young man flushing bright red. 

leia then retrieved a small neatly wrapped package, handing it to the blonde beside her. your stomach suddenly dropped upon realizing that it was you who han had picked.

you felt your stomach churn nervously, trying to focus on leia and not the man laying beside you.  

luke opened the wrapped package, blue eyes widening. “you didn’t!” 

you furrowed your brows, “what is it?”

“don’t be shy skywalker, show us what you got.” the excited blonde reached into the box to retrieve what looked like a plaque. you and han exchanged confused looks. 

“not to be that person.. but.. uh, what is it?” you asked. luke then turned it to face you and han. “it’s a plaque for my x-wing!” and so it was. displaying in a fancy sort of font was ‘general luke skywalker’

“y’know i was talking to leia a week or so ago about how i’d love some way to like personalize my x-wing, and now i have a fancy plaque!” 

you couldn’t lie, seeing luke this happy over a plaque warmed your heart. he turned to leia, “thank you, i really love it.”

seeing as you and han were the only two left, it was obvious that you’d picked on another. and while you wanted nothing more than to get this done and over with, han seemed to take this opportunity to go first. he reached into his pocket, retrieving a small black box. 

he passed it to you, and you took it carefully. “i couldn’t find any wrapping paper, but happy life day sweetheart.” he said to which you smiled. 

you pulled open the box, a gasp slipping past your lips at the contents inside. you were speechless. 

you could feel han’s eyes on you, you glanced up, meeting his gaze, “han..”

“what is it?” 

carefully, you lifted up the gift. in your hand was a silver chain, and hanging on that chain was a small ring. it was intricately designed, and it looked to you as though it was handcrafted. 

“i know you usually wear necklaces, but i didn’t remember until after the ring was made-“

“you made this?” the man nodded, “yeah, i had some scraps from the falcon, and i know you like the ship despite how much you pretend you don’t-“

“this is amazing, han.” you breathed, taken aback by the effort put into this gift. for once han seemed to be unable to come up with a snarky comeback, and he even-he even looked nervous. 

wait a second.. was he blushing? 

but now, you were nervous, passing him your gift, “now i feel like mine is kinda basic.” the man took it from you, rolling into his stomach, laying the gift before him. 

once again, being absolutely dramatic, the man took ages unwrapping the somewhat large gift. you held the necklace in your closed hand, still trying to understand how he could’ve given you such a gift. it meant so much. knowing all the effort he’d put into it, it made your heart flutter.

but now your heart pounded rapidly as he had finally unwrapped your gift. 

you watched his hazel eyes widen, and you feared the worst. 

“did you draw this?” 

slowly, you nodded. luke and leia leaned forward, both gasping at the sight. 

you didn’t know what to get the man. and chewie’s ideas were far too ridiculous. so, you’d resorted to what you were good at. 

drawing. 

you’d sketched a picture of the falcon, and standing in front of it was leia, luke, chewie, and the captain of ship himself. 

it had most definitely been your best work, and you’d framed it and everything. 

“i thought you could put it in the falcon or something…” 

“y’know, i just might. this is a really good drawing.” you smiled. he genuinely seemed happy about this, there was no false sense of joy. 

he really liked it.

luke clapped his hands together, “i’d like to say that this was a success! we should do it again next year.” 

“for once, i’m agreeing with you luke, this was kinda fun.” han agreed. “i can see this becoming a tradition.” leia added. all eyes then fell on you, and you couldn’t help but smile, “i suppose i’d been able to participate next year.” 

the smile on luke’s face said it all. “happy life day, everyone!”

you were in your quarters, seated on the couch, thinking about the events of the day. you were still in awe about han’s gift.

it was just so special.

and you had yet to put it on. you just couldn’t will yourself to do so. why? you didn’t know. 

you held it in your hands, your fingertips brushing over the ring. it was so perfectly designed, and you struggled trying to imagine han solo taking time out of his day to create such a unique piece of jewelry. 

a knock echoed throughout the room, catching you offguard. “come in!” you called, expecting it to be leia, but was surprised to see han enter the room. 

“hey,” you greeted. 

“hi.” he replied, hazel eyes darting to the necklace in your hands, furrowing his brows, “you haven’t put it on yet?”

you shook your head sheepishly. “you want me to help?” you hesitated a moment, before replying, “sure.” the man approached you, extending a hand towards you. carefully, you set the item into the palm of his hand. he then took a seat beside you, gesturing for you to turn your head.

you did so, han placed the necklace around your neck, his fingertips brushing against the nape of your neck as he clasped it. 

“there we go.” the chain now hung around your neck, and you could tell how proud he was. “thank you.” 

“my pleasure.” he replied, shifting slightly in his seat. “hey, can i ask you something?” the question was somewhat abrupt but you nodded nonetheless. 

“why weren’t you in that picture?” 

now that was unexpected. you averted eye contact, “well…” you paused, sighing, “you are far closer with those three then with me.” that was just the blatant truth. han furrowed his brows, “so that suddenly makes you not important?”

“han, i don’t understand-“

“y’know i care about you right? like a lot?” you were taken aback. “what?” you asked. “i care about you a lot.” he then rubbed the back of his neck nervously, “i know i suck at showing how i feel but…” 

“our banter, our flirting. i kinda love that. and i kinda love being around you.” 

a small smile spread across your lips as your fingertips brushed against the necklace around your neck. “funny, i kinda love being around you too.”

despite how you constantly played off being annoyed by him, you had never had as much fun as you did when he was around.

he scooted a little closer to you, retrieving something from his jacket pocket but you couldn’t make out what it was. he then lifted his arm, holding something above your head. 

you let out a laugh at the sight. “are you serious right now?” you asked to which he nodded, a mischievous grin on his lips, “you’re sitting under the mistletoe, sweetheart. don’t ya know what that means?” 

you nodded, “of course i know, han.” 

“well then, why don’t we-“

he was taken aback as you leaned in, pressing your lips gently to his. he froze up for a moment, before dropping the mistletoe, his large hands cupping your face as he deepened the kiss. 

it was a magical kiss. that was the only way you could describe it. 

you then pulled away, “happy life day, han.” 

he let out a soft chuckle, “best life day ever.” he replied before kissing you once again. 

it truly was the best life day yet. you’d spent the day with your closest friends, and an unexpected romance had bloomed, and it would continue to blossom for many years to come.

Pre Ragnarok Thor used to be playful at times. Post Ragnarok Thor is a full on himbo.

But people mistaking / aligning his past playful behavior with his current himboness is what makes me pull out my hair.

"He was always a himbo!" NO HE WASN'T!

I’M JOINING YOU THERE 😭😭😭 Thor was PLAYFUL. He was SASSY. He was FUNNY and good-natured and kind and knew how to navigate situations to lift people up again. But Ragnarok!Thor and Love and Thunder!Thor just hurt me. The way he shattered that glass temple without a thought in the L+T introductory scene hurts my soul....

The only films I will defend as NOT disrespectful and out of character for Thor are “Infinity War” and, surprisingly enough, “Endgame”. (Both of which are unsurprisingly the ones NOT DIRECTED by our favorite daffodil man.)

But I mainly say that because Infinity War!Thor is in league with the original 2 Thor films, characterization wise, just with a darker tone, more fierce temper, and an entire insanity arc + revenge quest in tow... and Endgame I give a pass ONLY to Thor himself, and the things that he says and the actions that he takes. Mostly: the excessive drinking, food consumption as a stress reliever, and the concept of trying to escape his real world through a fantasy of some sort... (though I DESPISE the video game gag. It should have been actually anything else.)

The issue I take with Endgame is not Thor, but how the world and the characters surrounding Thor react to Thor from the first second to the last. They’re constantly making fun of him, belittling him, not including him in any team planning, blaming him for the snap, not trying to help him stop his blatantly obvious self destruction, are otherwise are openly and callously disgusted by or uncomfortable by his being there in the room for the aforementioned self-destruction, and that’s not talking about ABANDONING HIM FOR FIVE YEARS when everyone NOT NAMED TONY should have known better. (And I guess Clint because they weren’t ever close and Clint had his own heavy stuff going on.)

Steve should have checked in. He’s the leader and was Thor’s closest friend on the team. Natasha should have checked in, because she always USED to try and check in, and was taking charge of the team at the time. Bruce should have never left Thor completely in the first place, because nobody would understand how vulnerable, unsteady and in a dangerous place Thor would be in, mentally, emotionally and physically, than Bruce “The other guy spat it out” Banner, who let me remind everybody was THERE DURING THE LAST THREE TERRIBLE TRAGEDIES TO SEE IT FIRSTHAND. Rocket doing his own thing makes sense but then AT LEAST have him act with some level of patience towards Thor because he clearly was able to during Infinity War, and he would know better than anyone else (not named Bruce) how Thor is feeling and how awful it is.

And before anyone says “well they were all going though their own stuff and couldn’t be there for him” then I raise to you that Natasha was almost obsessively checking in with everyone and actively trying to keep things running, and Steve was hosting an emotional support and therapy group for post!snap victims in Falcon’s stead. Bruce was doing god knows what. The only person actually indisposed was Clint and he and Thor weren’t ever even close to begin with. And if you say “oh but they probably blamed him for the snap and that’s why” I just need you to really think about that statement and how awful that is, because they’re supposed to be his team and his friends. His earthen found family outside of the Jane crew. And even if they did blame Thor because they don’t know about Peter Quill and Gamora (who I’m sorry but I love Gamora; the snap is ENTIRELY her fault.) then that STILL doesn’t mean they can just ostracize and abandon the man and his people for five years because they’re mad.

I also take extreme issue with the cinematography team and the editing team for that film for deliberately making Thor the butt of the joke during the “how do we get the stones” scene in particular. (when Thor would have been the most valuable team asset. You know. Because he researched them and the glove made for them was made in one of HIS territories with HIS space metals.) and probably also that stupid “I think I’m having a panic attack” line because nobody says that. Otherwise, the man is drowning in his own despair at best and actively suicidal at worst because of everything that has ever happened to him the past 10 year phases 1-3 run, but yeah sure I guess that’s funny. And not unbearably heartbreaking.

At the end of the announcement, only a proud Vernon was seen, since the party would be held in the old Sacks villa that Vernon bought some time ago.

Vernon. -He!, He!, And how are you? You liked it, right?- You could see the huge smile on his face.

Mikey. -Does that mean we will be officially famous? I have to practice my best side for the camera- Mikey spoke excitedly while he thought of all the poses for the camera.

Leo. -Vern, we had talked about a subtle revelation- he spoke under his breath as they massaged the wrinkle formed on his forehead.

Raph. -Yes, how did we go from something subtle to “that”?- Raph said, a little annoyed, although more than anything nervous.

Donnie. -They didn't even warn us that it would be of such magnitude- said the nerves in his voice.

April. -In my defense... They changed my words, I only talked about it with my boss, I didn't confirm anything- the redhead said a little indignantly.

Casey. -In fact... It was Rebecca who confirmed it- said the black-haired man, scratching the back of his neck a little uncomfortable.

Splinter. -I think we would have liked to have had advance notice- the old rat murmured with concern.

Literally the entire team had a small crisis because of what they had just seen.

Initially they were going to do it to be able to stop the fans who seemed to hunt them as if they were Pokemon looking for a photograph and it was extremely annoying, except for Mikey, he even posed for some and his brothers had to drag him away.

Casey. -Guys, Rebecca wants to see you, I'll send the location and she'll be waiting for us in 20 minutes- Casey announced as he looked at his phone.

Leo. -Maybe we can fix this so it's a little more...private- I considered, although he was still worried.

After what was said, all the turtles left to follow Casey from the garbage truck.

Each one thought about the reason why they had been requested, perhaps it would be a plan to be able to modify or alter the news sheet.

Although none of them expected the real reason why they had been summoned.

The meeting place was a very exclusive hotel, they entered through the parking lot and were escorted by several police officers who covered them with shields for safety.

Each of them was holding a tablet while sitting on a huge sofa, big enough for the four siblings to sit together, although they were all in a kind of shock.

Casey. -Can you repeat why the boys are here? - The black-haired man spoke, thinking that he had heard wrong a moment ago.

Rebecca. -Look, some citizens are afraid of you because they don't know them, even if they are aware of what they did for the city, what you need is to show that they can have a common coexistence- I explained as simplified as possible while looking at the turtles.

April. -And they are in a whorehouse for what reason?- asked the redhead with the older sister instinct active.

Rebecca. -The event will be in a couple of days and at that time they cannot arrive alone, no offense, April, but they need the public to see that they can coexist as any person would.

Donnie. -Yes, but... We are not like any other person- he spoke a little distressed.

Raph. -I highly doubt that anyone wants to live with any of us- this time Raph spoke, somewhat annoyed.

Rebecca. -The situation was explained to the Ladies of the place and they were shown a photograph of each one- she spoke calmly and when she saw how the turtles were going to object, she made a sign with her hand to let her finish speaking -I must say that some quickly refused, but others have accepted, the tablets that you have in your hands will show you the women who have accepted, you will choose who and how to meet them- I finish speaking waiting for the turtles' response

Mikey. -I accept!- He spoke excitedly even though she received a blow on the back of the head from Raph.

Donnie. -If we talk about that issue, it is not wrong, humans feel calmer when they can see someone of the same shape living with others, it is like those who live with other common reptiles, they foster an unconscious acceptance- he mentioned after having analyzed what was said.

Raph. -And why can't we go with April and that's it?- Raph asked, crossing his arms.

Rebecca. -We need Miss April to be in unbiased focus, so she will cover her revelation- she quickly responded to the question.

Raph. -What do you think Leo?- she asked looking at Leo who had remained silent.

Leo. -We could do it- he finally spoke, surprising everyone. -I don't like using the ladies just for an image… But I guess it's the best option-

Mikey. -Great!, Have I already told you how much I adore you brother?- He said while hugging Leo with emotion.

Rebecca. -Well, then you can look at the tablet and choose the lady who you prefer to meet with-

Donnie. -Meet?- he asked confused.

Rebecca. -Of course, I won't send them to just anyone- she replied with a slight smile.

After the boys began to look at the “Ladies of Company” catalogue, each one took their time, except Mikey who was practically jumping with excitement, they even asked April for advice on who to choose.

Who will be the turtles' lucky companions?

Welcome to my ted talk. Let's see how long y'all can hold out.

Today i will be introducing you to one of my personal favorite books of quite litrally all time. I want to talk about Nibelungen.

The Saga of the Nibelungs dates back to the fifth century and is often considered to have its main historical core or point of reference in the destruction of the Burgundian Empire, then ruled by Gundahar, in the area around Worms in late antiquity (around 436) by the Roman army commander Aëtius with the help of Hunnic auxiliaries.

Since the oral tradition of such historical events is often subject to modifications and embellishments and the material has been extensively fleshed out in poetry, the Saga of the Nibelungs probably preserves hardly any authentic historical memories.

The book that will be discussed below, the Song of the Nibelungs, is a medieval heroic epic that was first written down in the thirteenth century and passed on from there.

In the nineteenth and later in the twentieth century, the Song of the Nibelungs was regarded as the national epic of the Germans and the hero of the story, Sigfried, was considered a national hero.

The original version of the Song of the Nibelungs was written in Middle High German, which was spoken from around 1050 to 1350.

The Nibelungenlied itself is actually a song, written in four verse stanzas. However, the melody to which it was sung is unknown today. The entire song consists of around 2400 stanzas and is divided into 39 aventures, or chapters. Furthermore, it consists of two parts.

von küener recken strîten   muget ir nû wunder hœren sagen.

This is the first stanza of the Song of the Nibelungs. (Middle High German is a bitch to read, truly, but the translation into modern German feels too stiff.)

Now, a more or less short summary of the content. So, spoilers, I guess? But I don't think there are any translations.

Part 1

In the first part of the Song of the Nibelungs, the marriage between Kriemhild and Siegfried takes centre stage. Kriemhild has a dream in which she raises a falcon that is torn to pieces by two eagles. According to Kriemhild's mother Ute, the falcon symbolises a man whom Kriemhild will tragically lose.

The king's son Siegfried of Xanten hears of Kriemhild's beauty and falls in love with her without ever having seen her. He therefore sets off for the court of the Burgundians to marry Kriemhild. Siegfried is the son of the King of Xanten on the Rhine and is very famous because he once killed a dragon and bathed in its blood. Since then he has been invulnerable.

Kriemhild's brother Gunther wants to marry Brünhild, the queen of Iceland. But he needs Siegfried's help to do so. For Brünhild will only marry the man who can defeat her in three battles. In return, Gunther promises him marriage to Kriemhild. With Siegfried's help, Gunther manages to defeat Brünhild. A double wedding takes place between Gunther and Brünhild and Siegfried and Kriemhild.

Soon afterwards, the two queens fall out. They cannot agree on who has the higher rank. As a result, Brünhild and her henchman Hagen von Tronje plan an intrigue: Hagen kills Siegfried during a hunt. This is because Siegfried has a vulnerable spot on his back that was not covered in dragon blood at the time. After Siegfried's death, Kriemhild is inconsolable and swears revenge.

Part 2

The second part takes place 13 years after Siegfried's death and begins with Kriemhild's marriage to the Hun king Etzel in Hungary. Another 13 years later, Kriemhild persuades Etzel to invite her brothers and Hagen to Hungary. Although the Burgundians are suspicious of the invitation, they eventually accept it. Gunther and Hagen travel to the court of the Huns with a large entourage.

Once at court, Hagen refuses to lay down his weapons. This is seen as a great insult to the host. After some provocations on both sides, a battle finally breaks out between the Huns and the Burgundians. In the end, almost all of the Burgundian followers are killed. Gunther and Hagen are tied up.

Kriemhild has Gunther killed. In revenge for Siegfried's murder, she then beheads Hagen herself. She herself is then slain by a henchman. The Song of the Nibelungs ends with the narrator's lament that love always leads to suffering.

Phase 4 Is Almost Over And Contrary To My Initial Line Of Thought I Did End Up Watching All Of Them Somehow So Now You Get To Hear About It

I'll be talking about both the movies AND the series in order of release under the cut, the TL;DR for me is,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I don't know why everyone cares so much about if it was Good or Bad.

That might seem dumb to say on a Rating Post but I'll get to it.

WandaVision (1/15/2021)-- 9/10

I think the MCU has definitely had it's bobbles handling Wanda (even in this show) but this one actually really hit home for me. The fall/winter leading up to this show, I was actually in a pretty deeply depressive episode-- hardly able to leave my bed outside of class or speak to anyone around me in person, so even though I wasn't exactly feeling grief like Wanda was, I found her emotional arc of wanting to be In Control And Happy to at least be relatable. I do think the Agatha twist could have been handled better as far as writing goes, but I think that's mostly a flaw of the MCU formula (which you'll hear a lot in this post). I also don't think the Evan Peters of it all was anything to get that mad about, and people who were and are STILL mad about it can Submit Their Complaints To My Ask Box.

Also the final Scarlet Witch costume slapped I loved it.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier (3/19/2021)-- 7.75/10

I can't really speak to the way everything in this show was handled, given that I am white as snow, but overall, there was a lot I really liked about this one. The writing and performance for Isaiah Bradley as acted by Carl Lumbly was so intense and probably my favorite part of the show overall. My main gripe is really the handling of the Flag Smashers and the need to have Walker saving people in the final fight. I think Walker was well past the point of getting the audience on his side For One Last Go by then, and the Flag Smashers were just...so, so horribly whacked out of line with their prior depiction by the end. It just wasn't congruent.

Speaking of incongruent....

Loki Season 1 (6/9/2021)-- 6.5/10

I really wanted to enjoy Loki. Like I really did. But sitting on it for a year and a half and rewatching it, I think it was just TOO inconsistent episode to episode. There are individual MOMENTS and individual EPISODES even that I think are very good on the whole, but I think it's too obvious when different writers are taking on different characters (Mobius especially). It was a pleasant surprise to see Jonathan Majors, though, and I don't think I hated the finale as much as some other people did. I just think WandaVision did a good job deconstructing Wanda, and TFATWS did a good job deconstructing Sam's relationship to the Shield, but Loki just didn't really have a grasp on Loki as a character for me.

Black Widow (7/9/2021)-- 7/10

This movie should have been in Phase 3. Also stan Florence Pugh. That's about it.

Also if you hate what they did with Taskmaster, that's fine but it's not that deep.

What If...? (8/11/2021)-- 4.5/5

What If had some really good episodes, like Star-Lord T'Challa & Stark Saved By Kilmonger. But it also had The Zombies Episode and Captain Carter and Whatever The Fuck That Finale Was. It's more inconsistency and connecting it for the sake of connecting it and not really stopping to PLAY in the worlds they created, which was a shame, and then when they did it was,,,,,,,,,,REAL hit or miss. Mostly miss.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (9/3/2021)-- 8/10

Delicious finally some good fucking food. First, kissing Simu Liu on the mouth because he's SUCH a great leading man. Second, it felt JUST disconnected enough from the MCU while still having the canon references to feel fresh. It was still very much In-Tone with the MCU as far as humor went, but the actors really carried this to something special-- Simu, Michelle Yeoh, TONY LEUNG????? icon. Even places where the narrative was weaker were WELL compensated by the actors, enough to make me eager to see the next installment.

Eternals (11/5/2021)-- 7/10

Do I think the cast was too large, in the end? Yes. But Eternals was still so...austere in a way the MCU normally is not. It was a very different kind of movie, formulaically. Sure, Big Gray Monster, but it was very much not front and center. Centering it on Sersi and taking advantage of Gemma Chan's Pure Power was great, and I loved how the dynamics between the characters drove the story.

Also, stan Phastos.

Hawkeye (11/24/2021)-- 6/10

I would have probably enjoyed it more if Clint's character buildup wasn't so little and far apart in other MCU movies. It felt like I was SUPPOSED to be relating to this old friend's struggle with grief, but it just Did Not Hit.

I was mostly here for Vera Farmiga. Real Girlies Know.

Spider-Man: No Way Home (12/17/2021)-- 5/10

.......................No Way Home wasn't actually that good. I mean, it DOES go back and fix all my gripes with MCU Peter Parker and Zendaya sells as always and it was fun to see the old cast back. But uh. Into The Spiderverse did the multiverse thing to better effect, I think. The Audible Pause To Clap for Andrew Garfield's appearance,,,,we'll get to her later. Ultimately, I think Tom Holland is the weakest of the three Spider-Men of recent memory and it shows ESPECIALLY next to Andrew Garfield and without the background of having seen the other Spider-Man franchise incarnations, it's all that much weaker because you don't have the emotional context the film hinges on. It's fanservice for fanservice's sake. And we'll circle back to that. Also how dare you drag Matthew Catholic Sadboy Murdock into this.

Moon Knight (3/30/2022)-- 6.5/10

I hope Oscar Isaac and May Calamawy have gotten excellent treatment for carrying this show on their backs. I don't think Harrow (had to Google the character's name ffs) was strong enough to get by on Malevolent Pacifism alone, and it did just kind of Unravel at the end with the Unnecessary Big Fight & the show kind of just Stopping rather than Ending. Also, did not think it was necessary to TEASE Jake Lockley if he was just going to be in the post-credit scene. I would have rather they not bring him up at all rather than having hints so MASSIVE.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (5/6/2022)-- 3/10

When I left the theater for this movie, I didn't actually think I could hate it more than I did when it was over. Then I watched the Assembled on it. And I realized no, the depths of my hatred DO go deeper. I don't know what's worse-- the struggle of having to choose between the Wanda of WandaVision and the Wanda of the Non-D+ Series MCU and somehow choosing neither, leaving GAPING-WIDE plot holes for the sake of "having the coolest villain in the MCU instead of leaving it for the team of another Avengers movie" (Michael Waldron my detested), whatever the fuck the Illuminati was supposed to be, or bringing back Sam Raimi, who I think genuinely tried to direct something visually his own and artful, only to have him bogged down by Marvel's own capitalistic editing and filming practices. The pauses to clap for the Illuminati. How presumptuous and prideful do you have to be to include space for the audience to clap for your cameos? And I haven't even TALKED about Stephen yet, because there's almost nothing to say except it is a SECOND movie where he is implied to have to face consequences for his choices, only for none to appear because the Wider Canon demands he be fine. It is EVERYTHING the MCU is at its worst.

Not you Bruce Campbell, though, you're doing great.

Ms. Marvel (6/8/2022)-- 8/10

I think the reason Ms. Marvel ranks this well for me is not just the AMAZING attention to detail and authenticity of the creative team and Iman Vellani, but because Kamala Khan in the comics debuted when I myself was an insecure teenager writing fanfiction about my favorite superheroes and trying to survive school. I have a nostalgia for her character specifically that might bias me a little toward her show, but there was something so deeply authentic and warm about Iman's performance that I couldn't help being giddy to see her in every scene, despite the power changes and all the little things that would normally give me gripes.

Thor: Love and Thunder (7/8/2022)-- 5/10

You know that thing you do where you have two foods you really love, like, individually. Like how I like caramel and i like crawfish, which are two things that are great on their own. And then you do that thing where you go "what if I put those two things I like together!" And suddenly you're eating caramel and crawfish together and you wish you hadn't done that?

That's Love & Thunder and that's pretty much the sum of my feelings on it, if I'm honest. Like, I'm a fan of Taika's work and I like the two threads he did here separately, but not together.

She-Hulk: Attorney At Law (8/18/2022)-- 6.5/10

I could talk at length about this show and good-faith criticism and bad-faith criticism and how one can unintentionally legitimize the other, but I think to be succinct I can sum it up here by saying while I had fun, I think the show, despite the efforts of the female-centered & staffed writing room, fell into a lot of traps, like putting a lot of focus on Jen's dating life. To me that was the biggest mistake. Dating can be a very large part of people's lives, but in the show it did feel like the dating parts outweighed the legal parts, which was a shame because this show had SUCH a great cast of actors playing the other lawyers. Tatiana Maslany was great in the role, but I don't think the writing necessarily always held up to the acting, nor did the lampshading of it at the end in that VERY APPROPRIATE AND KIND OF FUN fourth wall break make up for including it in the first place.

Also Augustus Pugliese you have my heart new favorite side character unlocked.

Werewolf By Night (10/14/2022)-- 10/10

I think, at this point, I don't really care if MCU Secretly Bad or MCU Actually Good. I think if anything, this phase points to the overall problem for Marvel being that, for the most part, they're feeding us the same thing over and over again. To me, the projects that stuck out the most here were the ones that tried something different. WandaVision experimented with TV tropes. Werewolf By Night was a Hammer horror special.

The ones that scored lowest, however, were either full of shiny but empty distractions or just more of the same.

It's not better than before. It's not worse. You're just too used to eating the same thing.

Masters of the Universe

Castle Grayskull

by Mattel (2021)

This was a rare find!

Two days before the Baltimore TFcon back in 2021 (probably October 20th?) I was visiting a friend in Virginia amd while shopping at Target I found this! Thanks to the Target app, I got it for 25% off and paid about $64! I couldn’t resist, so I picked it up.

After opening up the box there was a few things which needed assembling, and some stickers to apply, but it wasn’t bad at all...and I hate applying stickers.

Sorceress:

The Sorceress is all dressed in white here, I believe referencing the old mini comics.

Her figure does look good. Poses well, stand well; I dig the clear wing-cape on her back.

Castle accessories:

Castle Grayskull comes with a number accessories, such as a weapons rack along with some weapons.

The wood texture on the rack looks good, and the weapons are all just unpainted light gray.

The training stand spins nice, and the giant fist can even hold certain weapons.

A second weapons rack with a falcon motif (which I believe is new to the Castle Grayskull set) is a nice addition, and I suppose could be used for our heroes tools to be stored.

Now onto the main event; Castle Grayskull.

Once everything was assembled and stickers applied, Castle Grayskull is a fun play set. It’s always been one of my favorites.

The plastic feels different from my original one.

The sculpting is so good. You have this stone stronghold with a foreboding skull with blackened eye sockets, and animal-like teeth around the ‘jaw’ bridge. which is activated by plunging a sword (He-Man’s sword) into the locking mechanism.

I prefer the new clips over the original tabs; I think these seem to be holding better.

By the Power of Grayskull! I command the jaw bridge, OPEN!

The locking mechanism on the new Grayskull is actually pretty cool.

You place the sword into the key hole, and it opens up the jaw bridge.

The is spring activated, so the lock resets after the sword has been pulled back out.

The original Grayskull playset just had a plastic slider, but it had to be manually reset.

I HAVE THE POWER!

The interior of Castle Grayskull is mostly similar to the old play set, however some of the interior pieces are now sculpted plastic instead of cardboard.

The computer station, no longer a flimsy cardboard backing, is now full sculpted along with a sticker for the view screen.

Ironically the Sorceress doesn’t sit too well in her own thrown because of the winged cape.

Any of the other characters sit much better.

The ladder is sturdier than the original one, and you can have your hero or villain climbing up to man his station or be as a look out.

The fall of Grayskull!

Heck, if you have a Cylons you can do a cross over where they take over Grayskull. Cylons are not robots you want to mess with.

This is such a cool playset, and I wish I had more time to talk about it more.

AUGH I REALLY DONT HAVE MUCH. does it have to be only the genshin related parts? well yes ill stick to that because he has like four different flavors depending on what universe i put him in. okay so

this is roughly what he looks like. i thought i had more good picrews of him but i dont apparently<//3 well heres some fun facts about him like in general to start

- best friends with my oc sofia who. i haven't really put into the genshin universe. but if the people ask i can talk about her too loll

- ambulatory wheelchair user, typically uses a cane, has Some chronic illness that i dont really know which,, pots probably. unspecified chronic pain. but the thing is im not chronically ill or disabled myself so i need to search more stuff before im super confident exploring this side of his character lmao

- sadly he is just like baizhu. the chronically ill doctor trope is already filled in genshin but there's always space for someone else! right!

- not pictured here but sometimes i make him have wings. i still haven't decided if he should actually have them or not. when he has wings only one is functional so he can't quite Fly

- wings or no wings he likes birds a lot!

- i chose his name because it means healer or doctor in....hebrew i think? according to google? and it also means just. "wing". in my mother tongue portuguese so kshdksh hitting two symbolisms with one stone

- now focusing on the genshin part. his father is the actual doctor in charge of the cathedral infirmary but is currently on the varka expedition (look this guy's father is. I don't know what to do with him. like in any universe. idk if i give asa oc syndrome and make him a full orphan or if i just leave the man alone because he's a solid guy! a good father! anyways i digress) and asa is in charge sort of in a similar situation to jean being acting grandmaster.

- i think he's besties with barbara. she's like a younger sister. because i think hes around jeans age. (and dilucs and kaeyas i think all of them r around the same age)

- he has an anemo vision but don't ask me how he got it

- catalyst user and healer but do not ask me like what sort of talents he'd have i dont know. don't ask me if he's a 4* or a 5* either i don't know,, but if he were to have a banner his like. title? idk? would be, and this is kinda stupid, Healing Winds of Birdsong - does it not sound like something you'd read on a genshin banner. i think does

- hes very devout to barbatos but at the same time i kinda enjoy the idea of him. questioning some stuff about the archons and gods too. like those medieval(? do not quote me on this) philosophers who thought extensively about religion and the human condition and. etc. does this make sense

- if he knew the annoying bard is no one other than the anemo archon i think he'd combust

- he picks up his fantasy testosterone prescription at the alchemy shop. the image of albedo and sucrose coming up with hrt is just too dear to me

- i want him and kaeya to kiss just because im a kaeya lover and. why not. but i don't have anything developed about them At All forgive me

Something to Share: Did you know that Mondstadt alone has over three hundred species of birds? Around the city area, you mostly see pigeons and falcons, but the diversity in places with less human activity is much bigger. Also, a lot of the birds migrate during the winter months, towards warmer climates like Liyue and even Sumeru. Oh, and— um... Forgive me, I seem to have been talking for a while... It's a topic that interests me.

Favorite Food: I tend to like more savory dishes. In fact, Sofia won't let me cook anymore, because I "put too much salt in the food". You know, I don't see the problem. It tastes fine to me.

- oh!! on the topic of favorite foods! i tried coming up with a special dish for him and i ended up picking northern smoked fowl because. vibes. but its a stamina dish and i kinda wish his special dish was a hp one.,, but anyway:

Asa's specialty. The same recipe for smoked fowl with vegetables that's been passed down in Mondstadt for years, with the doctor's own twists. It's a little heavy on the salt, but it tastes really good overall.

About Barbara: Barbara? Oh, we wouldn't manage at the cathedral if it wasn't for her. I have taught her a lot, but the healing techniques she comes up with never fail to amaze me. Her presence always brightens up the place and soothes even the most ill of patients. I hold her in very high regards.

About Rosaria: I can't say I approve of Sister Rosaria's negligence towards her duties in the church, or of her blatant disrespect towards the Anemo Archon. That being said... I think I admire her conviction to simply do whatever she wants. Perhaps trying to force her into the role of nun is a bit foolish. This is the city of freedom, after all, is it not?

About Venti: The bard? *sigh* Archons above. He'll sing beautiful melodies about Lord Barbatos, then turn around and immediately slur out the most sacrilegious things I have ever heard in my life. Being around him for too long is exhausting and he always brings trouble. Yet, I find that I can't truly dislike him. Heh, he's an interesting one for sure.

I suppose that, when he wants, he isn't entirely awful to talk to... Hm? What? Who– who told you that? No! Why would I go to the tavern "just to see him"!? That's– *ahem* It isn't like that. Chapter 1: Meet Cute

AN: Takes place after TFTWS. Torres initiates a meet-cute for Bucky after showing Sam he's ready to be the new Falcon to his new Captain America. Bucky gets unwanted visitors who want him to lead a rouge group (Thunderbolts). Will Bucky's lady bring stability to his life or will her "average" life mean chaos?

This story is a Work in progress. Will eventually have some violence. This chapter is pure fluff.

Joaquin Torres stands atop the abandoned factory and looks out across the green field. A bead of sweat slides down his temple as he contemplates the deep troughs in the grass. He shouldn’t be alone. He should have called someone. But if he can just get this roll right, he will be ready to show Sam his wings. Ready to prove himself as a worthy partner. The new Falcon to the new Captain America. He’s floated the idea with Sam before but he’s not sure Sam is catching on to his hints. He takes a steading breath and jumps. Flinging his wings out to makes his move. He has no idea someone is watching.

“You don’t need a partner, Sam.” Bucky says, eyes trained on Joaquin.

“You’re one to talk, Mr. Loaner. He looks good so far. Who knows, maybe I do need a partner.”

“You know what I mean. He’s trying to impress you.” Bucky sighs. “He does look good. It’s not like he doesn’t have your personality, too.”

“Damn, he almost had it. There at the end. Ouch. Let’s see if he’s ok.” Sam tells Bucky. They stride across the field toward a crumpled Torres laying defeated in the grass. Barely moving, not because he’s hurt. Just regrouping his thoughts. He’s pulled from his self-deprecating thoughts by Sam’s booming voice. “You almost had it! You ok, Torres?”

“How’d you know I’d be here?! It’s not ready for you to see yet, I can do better!” Torres panics.

“I got your clues when we last spoke. Oh, that gash is goin’a need stitches. I’ll show you where you went wrong after we get that fixed up. To the hospital first.”

“No, no, it’s not hospital worthy. I got it. I also think I have a prototype of my own Redwing that I need you to look at back at my apartment. Wil you come look at it while I get this stitched up?”

The three walk quickly out of the elevator at Torres building. The boisterous sounds of Duke Ellington are floating out of the first apartment on the left. Bucky’s brows furrow and he stops for a moment. That’s a record, not a digital recording. Torres guides them to the first apartment on the right. While Joaquin and Sam are deep in discussion about all the work Joaquin has done, Bucky stays at the doorway listening. The record changes. He has so many questions.

“Torres, who lives down the hall? The one playing the records?” he asks.

“Oh, that’s Abuelita.” He offers no more explanation. But now she’s playing Bucky’s favorite record. He never bothered to get a record player or collect records since he moves around so much. Seemed frivolous to even think about with aliens and the flag smashers keeping him busy. He didn’t’ realize he missed it until they came out of the elevator today.

“This is my favorite record…” he says almost to himself, stepping into the doorway more to stare at the door, willing it to open. Joaquin smiles. Sam’s left eyebrow raises watching his friends with curiosity.

“I need to head down there, she’s great with stitches. Go ahead man, I’m sure she will loan you the record. She’s super sweet. Knits and paints in her spare time. You’ll love Abuelita. She’s about your age too.” Torres spouts off while he grabs a rag to wet down. Determined to start treating his wound before he joins Bucky. Bucky steps tentatively out into the hall. Torres’ neighbor is over 100 years old too? Bucky looks back at Sam, and Sam starts to follow but Torres grabs his arm keeping him in the doorway as Bucky presses on. A knowing smirk and quick finger pressed to his lips to quiet Sam’s protests. Sam feels like a kid again, watching his friend go to talk to a girl. But this is a grandma who knits that lives next to Torres. Why did Torres stop him. What’s with the smile? What on earth is going on!? He was too curious to question it all. He could only watch Bucky approach the door and see what unfurled.

Bucky reaches the door and knocks. Nothing happens. He knocks again, a little louder. Abuelita apparently has bad hearing seeing as the record is so loud. Nothing happens.

“Knock like you mean it, Barnes!” coaches Torres. And so, Bucky does. Bucky’s enhanced hearing picks up a small squeak of shock from Abuelita. Oh no, he scared the poor old lady. The record halts. “There ya go, man!” Bucky wonders why Torres is so excited. It’s just a record from the little old lady down the hall and Bucky’s not going to take advantage of the loan she’s about to give him. Maybe she also knows where he can get more. And a record player. He’d ask when she finally opens the door. He can hear cautious footsteps coming to the door. The locks slide free, and the door opens. Just enough that Bucky can see the most gorgeous woman in her mid-thirties to early forties he has ever seen. It quickly dons on him that Torres meant old like Bucky looks, not like Bucky is. His gaze shifts down the hall to Torres and he sets free the biggest glare he can. Abuelita is still peaking at him in shock. Who is this stranger at your door? Torres decides it’s time to help you both and screams “Abuelita!! That’s my friend. He wants to borrow that record. And I need your help, I’ll be there in…oof.” but he never finishes the sentence. After he called you, you poked your head out the door to see him. When Sam catches a good glimpse of you, he punches Torres mid-sentence for the slight to Bucky. And you. Maybe Torres does have Sam’s personality. Sam sees Bucky’s satisfied smirk as he steps back to make room for you to see Torres. What are friends for?

“Get in here, Torres! And push that rag harder, no blood on my carpet this time.” You scold. “Any friends of Torres’ are friends of mine, come in.” Torres almost runs inside, impressed with his handy work and charade. Sam and Bucky close behind as he introduces them.

“Abuelita, this is Sam and Bu- (Bucky glares harder this time) James.” He knows you already know who they are from previous conversations together.

“Well, Sam, did you teach him how to perfect that move or am I taking care of more stitches later?” You jab at Sam, surprised to see him since Torres told you he hadn’t called him yet. More surprised to see bleeding Torres since he told you he was taking today off. And then there was James. You knew of him from the Smithsonian. And Torres had mentioned him and his infamous parachute-less jump. Torres was already in the bathroom getting the first aid kit. “Buh-James, let’s get you that record.” You smiled. Bucky wants you to do it again. And again. And aga-wait, what did you say to him? He silently followed you into your apartment and toward the record player.

“I’ll teach him later. He almost had it. This is quite the first aid kit.” Sam interrupts. Well, Bucky feels he has interrupted. He’d prefer neither of the other men be here. He feels on display. As do you. It’s over whelming.

“Well, Torres is clumsy.” It was a deflection. Thankfully they allowed it. Sam even laughed a little. Torres scoffs and then laughs as Sam helps him treat his wound, so you don’t have to.

Sam and Torres are finished but wouldn’t interrupt for the world now. They have moved out of the bathroom and are openly staring at you and Bucky while you talk. The conversation having gone on for some time and crossed many subjects before you put the record back in the sleeve and hold it out to Bucky. “There. All set. Keep it as long as you like. It’s a favorite of mine too. Do you have a player?”

“Uh, no. I mean, I used to, but I don’t have one right now. I, uh, where do you even buy records these days? This is amazing.” He was cute when he rambled.

“There’s a specialty shop down the street. Owner had a record player the other day, it may still be there today.” You hinted.

“Maybe. Maybe you could show me the place after coffee tomorrow?” He asked. Sam and Torres smile. They are finished but wouldn’t interrupt for the world now.

“Yeah. Yeah, I’d love to.”

“Great. It’s a date.”

Just a big marvel discussion that bounces around. Think of it as a thought exercise. Basically a mess. Feel free to ignore! I don’t really have people to talk about this sort of thing with me so if you want to join in, I’d be happy to have you! :)  I’m glad Kevin Feige is finally saying to slow down on the Marvel content. I love Marvel, but it’s become such a homework assignment to understand everything. I am WELL AWARE the “No one is making you watch it” bit, but I can still say my thoughts.  If you haven’t seen like...5 different shows and movies, Ant-Man is going to be hard to understand - and I’m basing that off the trailer and non spoiler reviews. I LOVE Ant-Man, so I’m sad that it’s getting bad reviews, but it’s getting messy and complicated. I really felt the MCU should have ended at Endgame with maybe a mini series of what each major set of characters are up to. Meaning, like 5 or 6 episodes - one to the major groups. Just an idea. Spoilers for Falcon and the Winter Soldier below.

I mean, Kang the Conqueror, Skrulls, Galactucus, possibly Dr. Doom (This is a guess!!!) that’s so much. I am NOT saying they are bad story lines or bad characters, but it almost makes each “worst villain ever/biggest threat ever” mean a little less when they are all rather similar. However,, a lot of people’s contracts are ending soon so I think we’re basically going to be spending the a lot of movies and shows with our favorites being killed off. My predictions are literally most of the Guardians of the Galaxy.  Possibly Bucky in the future because Seb’s contract is ending soon so I’m thinking Thunderbolts? I hope not, but I’m not sure. His Winter Soldier character has been so wasted. I hate how his story line was literally summed up in a montage. No discussion with Yori that we see, we don’t get to see him work for forgiveness with A SINGLE person on his list. NOT ONE. But he gives it to his therapist and is like I'm done :) I LOVE Sam’s storyline. I cried a lot, but Bucky? Utterly trashed.  Anthony Mackie has several movies to do and I’m excited to see him. Don Cheadle talked a lot about how he’s basically ready to move on. Basically anyone that has been there 10+ years I think is in “danger”. The young avengers are safe, and I definitely think it’s going to be a show despite Marvel saying there won’t be because we know to expect the opposite. I’m not sure how long Tom Hiddleston will be around after Loki season 2. I feel like his time is ending and personally, I felt like his character had something off and I really don’t like Sylvie. I think that’s one of the problems, some of the characters aren’t exactly likeable that are going to take over. The Eternals is a good example of that. Shang- Chi is going to be a great character. Dr. Strange, IDK.  This is why I’m only accepting request for the Captain America, Black Widow and Hawkeye characters at the moment because while I LOVE a lot of other characters, I think it’s better to try something new with the characters I know well before branching out to others. I think the super-hero movies are starting to get oversaturated like westerns did 50 years ago. To keep up, we need quality. Not quantity. Those are just my opinions, no one has to agree with m, but I’m always happy to discuss.

It is not that any of you shown direct romantic interest(from what i known but who can know what Lord Vader feels) but it is the possibilities.

We all know you are Vader's favorite. He likes you and respects you. Likewise you respect him and are loyal to him.

You know each other well. I would say you did before death too. Not all the secrets maybe but you know how each other work.

You complete each other in a way. Sort of a opposites attract thing? But not so different that it would cause problems. I feel like you are one of the people who can keep him in the line.

From your previous talks I know Vader is somewhat your type. I would say you are his type too. Intelligent, petite but powerful, loyal, faithful to cause...

Most importantly Vader trusts you. Which says quite much. Do you think he went around showing people his face? Or don't force chocked after he thought people failed him(you didnt really fail but you understand where im coming from.)

Basically, you are different to him. (Would that make him interested into you, who knows?)

Also... Well I wouldnt want to say this but you wanted a explanation. You are aware that Lord Vader is Big. And you are not. That makes you look good together. Aestheticly I mean. If you are into that sort of thing.

Hmm. This is a lot to take in.

I always did wonder why Lord Vader kept me alive after the incident on Bespin. After the Millennium Falcon took off to lightspeed, I was quite sure he'd choke me to death or impale me with his lightsaber. But he didn't. He simply walked away from the bridge sadly and locked himself in his meditation chamber for the rest of the day.

I was then subjected to a state of unabetted stress and tension for weeks afterwards. I kept expecting that at any time he'd storm in with his lightsaber ablaze, pin me to the wall with the Force and strangle me. I had dreams about it every night for a month, and I'd wake up in a cold sweat. Of course, none of that ever manifested in reality, but the dreams were extremely vivid.

Ahem. At any rate, I never actually thought that he'd spared me due to any liking for me in particular. I always attributed it to some bizarre stroke of luck.

Then again, I've been told he treated me better than the other officers, and as I've mentioned before, I did observe this to some extent. I would never have been so bold as to believe I was his favorite, but lately he did tell me something of that nature in death. Things have always been very complicated between us to say the least.

Quite frankly, I was never sure whether Lord Vader had romantic tendencies at all. There was a great deal we Imperial officers didn't know about Lord Vader, and for the most part, we were much too fond of breathing to ask.

That said, I am honored that so many people think I would be a suitable romantic candidate for a man as powerful and respected in the Empire as Lord Vader. It is a high compliment indeed.

As for my height, you need not remind me that I am below the average by Imperial standards. Rest assured that I was reminded of it on an hourly basis in one manner or another for my entire career and that these reminders have followed me beyond the grave.

WHEN I FOUND OUT ABOUT ICEMAN I WAS LIKE O_o b/c i never expected him to be so op!! hansol's powers are so cool like he can just DO THAT. for fun?!?! speaking of powers, i'm a biiiit curious! if you could have any marvel power what would it be? :D i think sersi's powers are soooo cool b/c matter manipulation? real op!! so i think that's the one for me, but as far as tech goes i'd go with falcon wings just b/c it's been a dream of mine to fly (even though i'm terrified of heights HAHAH)

i also like the darker mcu storylines just b/c i feel like w/ everything going on, some angst ought to happen!! the mcu definitely nails the happier, humorous stories but i'm currently LOVING the serious storylines. multiverse of madness felt more like a horror movie i was actually JUMPING in my seat, almost screamed at some parts, & almost had a heart attack ASLFKJF it was definitely an experience, but i'm not sure i'm ready to rewatch it b/c i'll have to prep myself before the watch LOL

u have a favorite movie/show in the franchise?? it's honestly hard, but i love the guardians of the galaxy movies, shang chi is a masterpiece, wandavision's a classic, and ms. marvel was something my family & i liked a lot!!

fixing the boat montage!! i love a good Significant Annoyance to Buddy team up, even if they won't admit they're best friends

the scene of Zemo, Sam, and Bucky when they first get to Madripoor. the music, the colors, the lighting is all *chefs kiss* (also Sam Wilson in heels)

Sam's training montage, watching him get the feel for the shield and finally accepting that he is worthy of the title of Captain America, and that he doesn't have to live up to Steve's legacy, but create a whole new legacy altogether warms me heart

John Walker's court scene because I think it shows his character's slow shift from charming all american boy to national disgrace really well

Bucky confronting Zemo for the last time. i love the closure Bucky gets and the look when Zemo realizes he's been tricked, but my favorite part of this scene is when Ayo tells Bucky to stay away from Wakanda cause they'll be pissed at him for freeing Zemo, and he just goes "cool cool cool cool, by the way can ya do me one more solid?" the audacity of this man. and the fact that they still did him a solid, because apparently he rolled really high on charisma or something

Dora Milaje fight sequence because they're some of my favorite marvel characters and im so glad they were in this show

when Isaiah sees his exhibit at the Smithsonian at the end kills me every time
