Cackling at all the people complaining about Slade's new look.
Like, holy shit, my guys. This fucker's main nemeses are fucking toddlers right now. They're in fucking diapers and this idiot is out here chumming it up with Amanda fucking Waller.
This fucker's main goal in life is to avoid paying child support and to spend his free time gaslighting teenagers into becoming his sidekicks before getting super petty and pissed off when they inevitably tell him to go fuck himself.
For fuck's sake, he still has both of his eyes!!!!! We're literally watching a man about to get his eye shot out by his pissed off ex-wife (whom we all stan) and y'all are worrying about him looking like fucking Lotor or Shiro????????
Do you guys really not realize the full comedic potential of all of this?????
My Adventures With Superman is literally handing us the opportunity to watch Slade on the precipice of fully entering into his cringe fail era, and y'all wanna complain about his new character design when it actually fits everything we know about this loser??????

Sheldon: *laughing to himself* "I wish you can all be inside my head! The conversation is sparkling!"
The guys: . . .
Sheldon: "Fine! I'll tell you! A lichen is an organism made up of two separate species, fungi and algae. If you could merge with another species, which species would you pick and why? Hint: there is a right answer. None of you will get it."
Raj: "Okay, I'd pick swan because the resulting hybrid would have the advanced industrial civilization of a human and the long graceful neck I've always dreamed of having!"
Sheldon: "Wrong. The best organism for human beings to merge with is the lichen itself. That way you'd be human, fungus, and algae. Triple threat! Like three-bean salad."
Leonard: "Give me one circumstance that would be useful."
Sheldon: "Alright, picture this. A beautiful outdoor concert. Now, as a human, I appreciate Beethoven, as a fungus I have a terrific view growing out of a towering maple tree, and no thank you expensive concessions because as an algae, I'll just snack on this sunlight."
Raj: "He got us again."
Leonard: "No, he didn't."
Raj: "Anyway, if its okay with you we should talk about Howard's bachelor party."
Sheldon: "Well, seems bit of a let down after our lichen conversation, but what would you know, your half-swan."

okay. i need to rewatch the episode probably but i think my current feeling is that i like most of it a lot (rome, ken, the siblings not getting ceo, etc), think the tom ceo makes sense from a logical/character perspective but not sure how i feel about it from a broader more thematic lens (altho i'm leaning towards fine with it), and am very mixed on shiv's ending because i think it's well-conceived and meaningful from a broader thematic lens (shiv becomes her mother, the cycle always repeats, etc) but doesn't quite make sense to me from a logical/character one -- it could've worked, it could've worked brilliantly, but it was far too rushed and forced. it makes sense as an ending for shiv, but not her next step. i'm largely talking about her decision to return to tom, not her decision to vote against kendall (which i think should've been executed better and given more space but can understand given her character, mostly). i'm fine with it as an ending for shiv, but what i'm struggling to stomach is the way it played out -- it didn't feel like a choice the shiv we know would've made. it's an ending that makes sense thematically and for her character arc, but not a decision that makes sense for her character at present. that's kinda where i'm at right now

unfortunately, as i continue watching Sharpe, the quality of plotlines they give to women markedly decline. in Regiment they're throwing blondes at him like there's no tomorrow and each one of them has a plotline involving sex or marriage; also they feel like they weren't written to be as complex or in control as some other characters who also have plots that revolve around sex or marriage (specifically, I'm thinking of Helene from Honour as well as Lucy Kiely and Juanita from Battle).
when i'm watching this show i try to appreciate when the women on it have agency to affect the plot and make their own decisions (aka The Bare Minimum). but if the women characters are relegated to episode's side plots/their situation is but a piece of a larger Adventure as opposed to being part and parcel of the Adventure they don't get that chance to act on their own terms!!! even within a Sex and Marriage plot!!! and that's frustrating.

Orym had to tell Keyleth about Imogen... he had!
The only other option he had was to tell her in secret, but he chose open honesty.
Notice he didn't say anything at first when Liliana was mentioned, but then Imogen starts talking about maybe Liliana saving them IN FRONT of Keyleth... and Keyleth was watching! (Matt did that check that Liam and Marisha clocked) Now, maybe Imogen was just stating a doubt (she might even be right) but Keyleth has no context for this and she could think Imogen was making excuses for Liliana.
Orym has known Keyleth all his life, she has always been just. Unless Imogen does something to betray them, he has no reason to fear for her, and all the reason to tell the truth, explain the situation, and vouch for Imogen in Keyleth's eyes... which would help to maintain the trust Keyleth has on him.
Look at the table at that moment, no one was surprised. Laura thought Liam was gonna talk about Vax instead of Imogen's connection with Liliana, but she was not surprised by Orym sharing that information.
Right afterward he does that, we find out Keyleth was suspecting already. Orym made the right move! The smart one! He, and Bell's Hells too, can't afford misstrust from their allies! At that moment, the best option was honesty.
The only alternative was Imogen explaining on her own, but she suggested to Orym a change of theme instead of coming clean, the chance was right there, and she didn't take it. Orym hasn't talked with Imogen since their reunion. Before the fight with Ludinus, Fearne and him were planning what to do in case Imogen got tempted by her mother and Ruidus and all that. Let's be honest, Imogen herself has admitted she has felt tempted by the power, and we don't know how much control she has over all of this... Orym has reasons to be concerned, and Imogen trying to change the topic of the conversation instead of saying what it's kinda obvious (she and Liliana look alike), don't assure those concerns, hid best move... in every direction, was to be honest. Putting all the cards in the table.
Keyleth tells Orym what to do in case of betrayal in front of the whole group, so everyone knows where everyone stands. Like, if Imogen has no intentions of betraying them, then she has nothing to fear at all. If she has that intention, she now knows that she'll have to fight everyone else except maybe for Laudna (if she attacks Orym, she'll have to fight Fearne, if she attacks Fearne she'll have to fight Chet and Ashton, is she attacks Ashton and go against the gods she'll have to fight FGC*), and I say "maybe Laudna" because I've noticed a trend of them been tempted by power and the darkness on their own... but not wanting that path for the other, in fact Imogen made an interesting change the time they were apart, she is the one trying to fight the temptation now and keeping herself and Laudna away from the darker path.
* I know that maybe others would jump to protect Orym and start this domino, but the one person I have no doubts it would do it, is Fearne.

I saw a really good tiktok a while ago (that I will add to this post if I can find it again) talking about how jk rowling doesn’t have good execution of her own ideas and concepts in her writing (specifically harry potter series) rather, she made a good sandbox and that’s what draws people to the books. it’s the potential of the world she created, not the actual application of it that has people so enamored
and honestly? it’s so true, and applies to most media I can think of. that’s why fanfiction is what it is: it’s just us kids playing in a sandbox created by someone who didn’t know what to do with all that damn sand

Sometimes I’m still haunted by memories of terrible exes from back when I dated not great people and used romantic relationships as a way of escaping the not great home life and family dynamics. Currently the ex that had the audacity to ask me to suck his toes when he wouldn’t even go down on me cuz it grossed him out is the most haunting of them all
