I kinda wish the Sylvari got to have a festival. The four winds is Zephyrite, therefore human (with the Queen’s Jubilee being obviously human and taking place in DR). Halloween is more or less human originated too (mad king Thorn and now Joko, also who used to be human). Wintersday takes place in DR, tho I forgot what was up with the snowmen, but it’s in the main human settlement (with Asura as a secondary bc of the infinarium with Tixx playing a huge part and capitalizing on it lmao). Dragon bash seems to be the most neutral one, but I’m glad the Norn got to inherit this one by having it be in Hoelbrak (would be cool if they got their own unique festival, but I’ll give this half points at least. I’m not sure if the holograms are their doing or maybe collaboration with the Asura?). Lunar new year is in, again, DR, but this one is very understandable at least. And SAB is the the quintessential Asura holiday.

Kinda sad we don’t even get to really host anything either. I know they’re a young race, but it still makes me sad. If I misremembered anything don’t be afraid to remind me >>’ believe me, I want to be wrong about this haha.

Well another week of Tal and Ashley putting Callowmoore through the emotional ringer. I'm kinda okay with where it's at right now (okay less kinda but I can still see an end goal for them), of course it wasn't the most ideal direction I thought up in my head but it rarely ever is. There's time, there's room, and maybe in 2 3 (again guys? mental torment for 3 again?) weeks time - because no show on Thanksgiving and then Candela Obscura - Tal and Ashley will pull the trigger and not leave me an anxious mess like they have the last month and a half every Friday Morning when I have to work XD

anyways, since word is out that the prompts leaked, i'm just gonna say for the record: i'm going to TRY to do sicktember this year, but all the prompts are just... not my jam. a lot of them are way too intense and kinda stray away from the category of "sickfic" for me, and so i am struggling to get attached to them. if i can manage to find a good group of people to bounce ideas off of, i might be able to make it, but chances are they're gonna be... well, fucked around with, stretched to fit the prompt's guidelines, and i don't know if i can finish them all by septembers end even if i try my best to power through.

overall i am just really hoping we get another low-stakes sickfic event to choose. whump has so many, i'd kill for another sickfic one so we have options. but with the prompts being posted later and later plus the way they've just been kind of... not entirely sickfic-relevant, sicktember is getting harder and harder each year.

if another sickfic event pops up it'll have my full support. if i was an ideas guy, i'd make it myself, but alas. ideas are the hard part for me. hence why... i used to love this event, heh.

Ok, so I'm only responding to this anon because I've never gotten anon hate before in all my years of tumbkr so this is a fun momentous occasion for me! In the future, any anon (or non anon) hateful messages will just be automatically deleted.

First, I'm not a girl and very queer so I'm not some cishet woman fetishizing queer people like you would suggest. (And there's also nothing wrong with being cishet and liking queer media)

Second, as someone who has been in many queer media circles across the internet, the only time fans of queer media get automatically cast as being a "fujoshi" is if the media in question is from Asia. Like did you send this ask to every other bracket doing tournaments for queer characters? Just mine? I wonder why...... It's almost as if there's a bias for Western media and anything that falls outside of that gets labeled as not proper queer media suddenly, regardless of what the story is or how many queer people are involved in the production.

Anyways like I said I only wanted to respond to this for funsies because I've never gotten anon hate before and I had felt like I was missing out on a key tumblr experience. This was also the kind of hate message I was expecting to get one day just because of the bias against non-western queer media. Anon, if you would like to chat about these topics, my dms are always open! I won't put you on blast because I can understand how you may arrive at the conclusion you did and I'd be more than happy to talk about this topic in private!!!

lately i don't really have anything too important to say except my quilt is progressing nicely. it's very messy though (due to it being my first quilt ever!!!) but i only have like 4 rows to stuff and then i just have to stitch the rows together and do the backing

and i might just get an actual thin blanket or something for the backing instead of buying proper fabric, it's probably cheaper that way whee
