kdnfb's Ten Years of Fanfiction Mania
Featuring: Unmasked
Summary: Written under an Anonymous pseudonym ~M~ to fill the following prompt ~ Historical Katniss and Peeta hate each other. They attend a masquerade ball and for some reason end up kissing each other. Sparks fly everywhere. Katniss tries to find the man behind the mask but Peeta knows it was Katniss though he doesnt say anything. They end up bethrothed even if they 'despise' each other. How they fall in love is up to u and how katniss figured out it was peeta is up to u
Rating: E for explicit sexual content, explicit language, implied/referenced rape/nonconsensual (not everlark), implied/referenced child abuse, implied/referenced suicide, implied/referenced miscarriage, discussions of illness, war, and injury in a historical setting, ptsd, minor character death. They worst of these tags happens offscreen and is merely discussed and dealt with rather than shown here.
A/N: ~Unmasked~ is my longest fic in terms of word count (around 234k), although Outside Chance and Spellbound are not too far behind and are both incomplete. Unmasked started as something meant to be fun and cathartic, then turned into a ridiculously long and self indulgent fic that I still, to this day, have no idea if the anonymous person who submitted the prompt to @everlarkficexchange even read, let alone whether or not they liked it. But I love what I produced for this fic.
Why write it anonymously and only reveal myself later? A couple reasons. 1) Historical is not my wheel house. At least not writing it. I am a shameless consumer of historical romances. I did some research for this fic but not nearly the level I would've liked to have done. Eventually, I said screw it, it's about the vibes not the accuracy. 2) I had a pile of unfinished wips when I started this, to include Outside Chance and Spellbound (both of which are still unfinished hmmmmm) and I really didn't want a lot of questions about when I was going to get back to those while I was working on this because 3) I'd just gone through a small slice of writerly hell to the point that I seriously considered deleting my entire tumblr and all of my fanfic. Details are not important right now, the result is. That's probably the closest I've ever come to calling myself done with fandom.
Then this prompt posted to EFE and wouldn't leave me alone. Eventually, I decided that if I was going to write it, I wanted to write it with as little pressure as possible. So I chose to write and post it as ~M~ until it was finished. Plus, I thought it might make it fun for people other than me if there was a bit of mystery behind it. And I don't regret doing that.
Writing behind a mask allowed me to be as long winded and self-indulgent as I wanted to without worrying about how tight the storyline was or how accurate the historical details were, or wondering if I'd be walking into my tumblr and a barrage of the kind of messages I'd come to dread receiving. The only thing I worried about, really was if the amount and kind of smut I included gave me away prematurely lmao.
While this was my first real foray into the realm of historical fics, I am hoping it's not the last. I've got too many ideas and half started pieces to back out of it now. But those, like this one, will probably remain untethered to a specific real place, and a specific time, mainly because I just don't have that kind of time for research if I'm not getting paid to do it lol. They will be works of love if not works of accuracy.

Eddie was nervous.
He hadn't bothered mentioning Corroded Coffin's first show back to anyone except Wayne, didn't want anyone he knew to see him stumble over chords and lyrics with nerves he'd never had before Vecna. The guys didn't really say anything, but they'd casually suggested some slower songs mixed in to give him a break during the set. They just seemed to know that he didn't have the stamina anymore.
It's not like the Hideout was Madison Square Garden, but news had spread amongst the locals about Eddie's return to the stage and people must have gotten curious. The bar was busier than Eddie'd ever seen it, people lined up against the tiny stage and filling the tables spread out around the room. Every stool at the bar was filled, the door constantly opening to welcome someone new with a chilly breeze from the fall air.
"Hey, man. You ready?" Gareth's hand on his shoulder was meant to be comforting, but all it did was remind him of how much everyone in the crowd probably wanted to watch him fail.
"Yep," Eddie breathed out.
It was fine. This would just be another show, maybe not the best they've ever had, but they did fine during practice. He was fine.
There was no announcement for them, there never was. The bar owner and the main bartender pretty much only invited them back because the regulars would order double the amount of drinks when they performed.
The lights were already dimmed in the bar, and the spotlight stayed on on the stage all night.
It wasn't anything special, but it still felt like a step towards more.
The crowd was loud, and barely paid them any attention during Jeff's introduction.
They started playing Master of Puppets, a shorter version without the solo since Eddie still struggled getting through it without having a panic attack. It was part of "reclaiming his trauma" or whatever the government appointed therapist told him on his second and final visit.
He took the first minute to really look out at the crowd, passed the obnoxious spotlight.
Most of the people were unrecognizable, dressed a lot like Wayne, but lacked the friendly smile he gave him when he managed to make it to his shows. He saw a few people he knew from his first two senior years hanging by the back, probably trying not to be noticed by him.
And then he saw him.
Steve.
His fingers skipped over the strings, missing a note and then two, though only his band and maybe the bartender would notice.
Steve smiled back at him, mouthed 'lookin' good', and gave him a thumbs up.
How did Steve even know about this? None of the other guys had told him, he begged them not to, made them pinky swear that they wouldn't invite anyone they knew for the first show.
Eddie smiled back at him still, happy that Steve was here, realizing now that a friendly face was the only way he would get through this set. He should have told them all.
Most of the set went surprisingly well, and most of the crowd seemed content to watch and sing along. Only a few people walked out when they realized it was mostly metal music, but he figured they weren't really there for any music at all. Watching the freak was the only entertainment a lot of people had in this town.
Steve was nodding his head, nursing the same beer for the entire hour they were on stage, smiling every time Eddie made eye contact with him. He seemed to be enjoying it, despite his usual refusal to listen to any of Eddie's music.
When they got off the stage, Eddie rushed to Steve, not even bothering to put his guitar back in its case first. Most of the crowd had gone outside or settled around the bar anyway, so his sweetheart would be safe.
"What are you doing here?" Eddie bounced on his toes, adrenaline pumping after a successful show. "I didn't tell anyone about this."
"Wayne mentioned it by accident. He assumed you'd asked me to come," Steve shrugged. He didn't seem hurt about not being invited, thankfully, but Eddie still felt guilt bully its way into his chest.
"Sorry. I just wanted to get the first one done before I had anyone here," Eddie nudged his hand. "But thanks for coming. I'm glad you came."
"I'm glad I did too. I'll always be here if you need me, Eds."
It sounded serious, less like what friends do and more like what love does.
"How do you always know what I need?" Eddie couldn't help asking. "It's like I think I'm fine, but then you're there with a glass of water because I haven't remembered to drink all day. Or like tonight, when I thought I could do it on my own, but played much better because you were here."
"I just know you," Steve smiled.
"Wait," Eddie started thinking back to all the times Steve was there. All the times he would show up at the trailer after work to make dinner, not knowing that Eddie had been feeling lonely. All the times he sat next to him on the couch while he planned out Hellfire campaigns because he needed someone to bounce ideas off of who wouldn't be involved. All the times he had to brave the general public and Steve always managed to find a reason to be right by his side, silently protective. "Wait."
"I'm waiting," Steve said. And was he sounding smug? What was that smile on his face? "How long am I supposed to wait?"
"I didn't ask you to be here."
"That's true. You didn't even tell me you'd be here."
"I never ask you to come over. Or go places with me. Or anything."
"You do sometimes," Steve argued.
"Wait."
Steve's lips pinched together, but a smirk was starting to tease its way onto his face.
"You're here because you want to be. Because you knew I'd be a mess and would actually want someone here even though I didn't tell anyone. Because you're always there when I need someone even when I don't admit I do. Because you care about me."
"Love, actually."
Eddie stopped in his tracks. "What?"
"You said I care about you. Duh, of course I do. But I actually love you."
"Like...the way you love Robin?"
"No. Like the way I thought I loved Nancy. But with you it's more. It's way more, Eds."
Eddie was grateful for the dim lighting and Jeff's sudden appearance by his shoulder.
"Eddie! We fuckin' nailed it! I signed an autograph for a girl who knows my name!" He yelled before he noticed Steve. "Oh, hey Steve. Enjoy the show?"
"You all did great, man. Glad you're back out there," Steve reached out to grab his shoulder, a friendly gesture that Jeff wasn't expecting judging by his face. "Need any help loading up?"
"Uh. No. I was actually gonna let Eddie know Gareth's dad came by to help bring all our stuff home so we don't need his van." Jeff gave them both a knowing look, then smacked Eddie's shoulder and smiled. "See you tomorrow!"
Eddie waved at him, still in shock from everything Steve had said before Jeff interrupted.
"You should probably put her in her case, Eds," Steve gestured to the guitar still slung across his back. "People aren't that careful in a bar."
"Wait."
"You've said that a lot tonight."
"Because I'm having a stroke or something. I'm having a very lucid dream. Or maybe I got too high." Eddie shook his head and pinched his own arm. "You love me."
"That's what I said, yeah."
"And you meant it?"
"I wouldn't have said it if I didn't mean it."
Eddie still felt like he might be dreaming, but he decided to lean into it. If Steve loved him, then that meant-
"Wait."
"Oh my God," Steve groaned, but he was smiling. "What now?"
"I love you, too."
"Yeah? You just figure that out?" Steve definitely sounded smug now.
"Yes! I thought I just had this stupid crush on my straight friend. Sorry I didn't realize the way my stomach does cartwheels when you're next to me meant I loved you!"
They both started laughing.
"So, that's why you were staring at me like that at the pool," Steve finally said through his laughter.
"And that's why you asked me to read to you when you had a migraine," Eddie crossed his arms across his chest to avoid doing what he really wanted to do: pull Steve into the most John Hughes-esque first kiss ever.
"We should probably get out of here," Steve said when he recognized Eddie's twitching fingers fighting to not reach out. "Don't think anyone here would like it too much if I made out with you next to the bar."
"Give me two minutes. I'll meet you outside."
Their actual first kiss was just as John Hughes-esque, but it was in the privacy of Eddie's bedroom, and immediately followed by Steve pushing him against his own door and dropping to his knees.

35 + Suguru for the smut prompt thing if there's still room? Pls and thank u 🙏
Suguru Geto + cockwarming
Minors DNI
Tags/warnings: fem reader, religion kink, unprotected sex, established relationship, cockwarming (obviously)
Word count: 1,050 ish (lil longer than a drabble but 🤷‍♀️)
A/N: Anon requested cockwarming but I threw in Priest!Geto as a bonus lol. I've heard certain types of Christians don't consider cockwarming actual sex (Mormons, I think?), bc they believe you have actually move for it to count. Dunno if it's actually true, and yes I know priests are Catholic and not Mormon, but it's smut, guys.
Tumblr media
Priest Suguru Geto who's so desperate for your sweet little cunt, but he's also desperate to maintain some semblance of his purity. He loves you, even if he shouldn't. And he lusts for you, which he definitely shouldn't. But twenty-seven years without being intimate with anyone could drive any red-blooded man mad, even a man of God. He can't help but want to experience being inside of a woman -no, not just a woman, being inside of you.
It's his duty as a priest to save his virginity and keep his promise of purity to God, but it doesn't count if he doesn't move, right? Or at least that's how his wayward friend Satoru tried to justify it, saying that it doesn't really count as sex if there's no actual thrusting. If you just get to feel a woman's warmth around your cock without actually doing anything about it. Suguru didn't really buy that, at least not until he met you, fell in love, and became so hopelessly, helplessly, sinfully desperate to be intimate with you.
So it doesn't count if you just sit on his lap and slowly lower yourself onto his cock, his breath hitching in his throat at the feeling of your wet warmth enveloping him...
Or at least that's what he tells himself.
God, you're even tighter than he imagined you'd be. His eyes roll back in his head and a shiver runs through his entire body when he feels himself bottom out. His hands grip the arms of the chair he's sitting in so hard his knuckles turn white at the feeling of his swollen, needy tip pressing gently against the entrance to your womb and your gummy walls clinging to his hard length like you never want to let him go.
"Fuuuck," Suguru groans under his breath as he adjusts to this new, intoxicating feeling. "...sorry, that was unbecoming of a priest," he adds with an embarrassed chuckle.
"And this isn't?" you ask, raising an eyebrow as your inner muscles squeeze around him, and if he thought you were tight before, now you're gripping him like a vice.
"Fuck!" he swears again, his eyes screwing shut and his hands clenching and unclenching as he tries to bring himself back down from the high that's threatening to overtake him already. "D-don't do that, angel, or I m-might..."
Angel. He always calls you his angel. He swears you must be a gift from God, with your ethereal features and kind heart. So how can an angel be so tempting? How can an angel make him want to do the most unholy things, things only married couples should do?
"You're right though, we probably shouldn't be doing this. B-but I don't think I could pull out now if I tried. Does it feel good for you, angel?" Suguru asks sweetly, reaching up to brush your hair out your face with a shaky hand.
"So good, Sugu..." you whisper, meeting his dark eyes with your own. He really does fill you up just right, and you can feel the head of him rubbing up against that sweet spot deep inside of you. You want so badly to move, to grind against him and bring you both the pleasure that you crave. But you know your priest's limits, so your hips stay still. You do, however, lean your head down to kiss him, and you're taken aback when one of his long fingers meets your lips instead.
"If we start making out now, I'm gonna lose all self-control. Can we just stay like this?" Suguru asks in a low, pleading voice. "I just wanna be close to you like this..." he murmurs, burying his face in the crook of your neck with a soft groan.
So you sit there for what feels like an eternity, trying not to think too hard about the way his fat cock is plugging you up and stretching you out, trying not to think too hard about how much you want to move your hips and feel every ridge and vein of his member dragging along your walls, which ache with the need for more stimulation that this is giving you.
You're getting wetter by the minute too, coating his cock in your sticky arousal so much it's dripping down the part of it that can't fit inside you due to his generous length. Every now and then you shift on top of him, adjusting your position a bit and savoring the slight friction it causes. Suguru clearly loves it too, hissing out a strained moan through clenched teeth and squeezing your sides a tad harder at your every minor movement.
"You're gonna be the death of me," he chokes out when you tighten around him again, almost involuntarily as your body craves more of him.
"Sorry, can't help it...we can stop if you want?" you ask softly, your eyes taking in his almost pained expression as he tries to hold himself back. Your hands come up to run your fingers through his long, dark hair in a comforting way.
"N-no, I'm fine..." But he doesn't look fine. He looks like he's holding himself back with every fiber of his being, and he is. He's so close to saying fuck it all and thrusting up into you anyway. After all, this has gotta be at least a half-sin, just being inside you. But he's convinced himself that his self-restraint counts for something, so he keeps still no matter how much his cock throbs and his body screams at him to move inside of you.
"You're just so warm. I mean, I figured you would be, but...just this feeling, you around me. You feel so amazing, angel, and I'm not even moving. If this is what it's like to be with a woman....no wonder men give into temptation."
If Suguru is being honest with himself, eventually he probably will too. Maybe not this time. But he's not sure either of you could take this sweet torture forever. Sinners deserve nothing but an eternity in hell, it's true. And yet...your beautiful eyes gazing down at him, filled with love and lust for him? Every flutter of your tight pussy around his hard, throbbing cock? Every breathy whimper and sigh that slips from your pretty mouth at the slightest shift of your hips? It all has Suguru beginning to think you might just be worth eternal damnation after all.

change your mind {hong jisoo}
pairing: joshua x fem!reader
prompt: 'oh, darling, you have never been spoiled, have you?'
warnings and general tags: nsfw, smut (minors dni! please), teasing, fingering, oral sex (fem receiving), praise, body worship, only consensual sex in this blog; featuring gentle and loving joshua and you know me guys, pov switches here from his to yours cause constant narrative is not for me
'all boys are the same.'
these words rang in joshua's head as he drove you home. you said that during monopoly game, amidst playful banter between you and soonyoung; no one paid attention to those words but he did. the bitterness of your tone did not go unnoticed by him and he needed to know the reason. your relationships with him had a rocky start but first month passed by seemingly good and joshua was happy. but were you?
'wanna stay the night?' you asked, pulling him out of his thoughts. 'it'll be easier, your dorm is too far from here.'
joshua swiftly parked the car, nodding. evening at your friend's house went great and he didn't want to ruin that atmosphere with his uneasy questions, but he knew he'd grow anxious if he won't ask. 'can i ask you something? it's about what you said during the monopoly.'
he followed you to your house, smiling at the way you instantly move to the kitchen to make him his favorite tea. 'is this about all boys being the same?' you asked and chuckled at his surprised face. 'i noticed how you tensed up after that one.'
joshua listened closely to your previous experiences and tried not to let it show how angry it made him. he didn't blame you for thinking that all boys are the same, because hell, if he dated some of those douchebags he'd probably think the same too. his heart ached for your troublesome experiences and yet he felt so grateful for the way you opened up, how you decided to take a chance on him. he took your hands in his, giving them light squeeze. he only wished he could erase all those bad thoughts and let you see that he is different.
like reading his mind, you whispered: 'i know you are not them, shua. i know you are different, that's why we are together now.'
'and it makes me so happy.' it was important for him to say this, to let you know this. your small smile for an answer made him braver: 'i'll show you how different it can be, all of it.'
'all of it?' you asked teasingly, leaning closer. it was meant to be a joke but his breath hitched. 'everything?'
'everything.' his words felt like promise on his tongue. 'if you let me.'
your eyes softened and he leaned in, pecking your lips lightly. 'i-' you stopped and gulped. joshua waited patiently for you to continue. 'i trust you. and i'd let you cause you'd never hurt me.'
your faith in him squeezed at his heart painfully. 'never,' he agreed readily, because that is out of the question. he'd hurt himself instead but never you. 'let me take you to bed.'
'how official,' you giggled but then turned serious. 'gonna make love to me tonight?'
'adoringly and with consent.'
your laugh filled his heart with happiness that he learned to associate with you - no one else made him feel this way. you two haven't went beyond simple make-outs and he was excited to take it all to the next level. deep inside he was angry as the way other people made you fell - how could they? how could they think only about themselves? how could they lose their chance to be with you and make you feel good? well, he was not planning on repeating their mistakes. when he kissed you all over and gently laid you on the bed, he felt his hands trembling a bit at the fondness in your gaze. i trust you. your words ringed in his ears as he undressed you without a hurry, peppering kisses on each revealed portion of your skin.
'tickles,' you murmured when he reached your sides and joshua smiled. 'i'm almost naked, aren't you going to take off your clothes too?'
'later,' joshua promised, pulling you closer to the edge of the bed. 'you first.'
and he had meant it. your pleasure came first and foremost and when you gasped in surprise, when he kneeled, he knew he was moving in a right direction. 'gonna take my time with you,' he whispered, caressing gentle skin of your inner thighs. 'will worship you the way you deserve.'
his kisses moved form your knee to your hip and then went down to the inner thigh, making you quiver with anticipation. his hot breath over your core sent electricity running down your whole body, tension coiling at the pit of your stomach. you almost wanted to joke about him being so laser focused but then all thoughts rushed out of your head, when he leaned in and licked a fat stripe from down to the center, rendering you speechless. your knees turned in on their own and joshua hummed in agreement like getting cages between your thighs was absolutely fine by him. enthralled by your response, he began enthusiastically eating you out. a man on a mission, joshua did not let you a second of rest - he dove in, slurping noises so loud that tips of ears burned in shame. your hand covered your mouth but joshua didn't agree with it: he blindly reached out for your elbow and pulled. 'let me hear you, dear.'
you blinked at his hoarse voice, looking down. chin glistening with your juices, joshua stared at you with dilated pupils, hunger evident on his face. this never happened to you. joshua looked like there's no other place he'd rather be right now and no one ever paid this amount of attention to - 'how do you like it?' his question caught you by surprise. 'you can ride my face if you want.'
everything inside you turned upside down. you squeaked at this idea and shook your head, not being ready. joshua smiled reassuringly and leaned in to kiss your navel. 'no worries, we won't do anything you don't want to.' he looked down, smiling. 'so wet for me. are you close? do you want to come?'
'yes.' your voice sounded so high-pitched that you grimaced. fire at the bottom of your stomach burned so intensely, you weren't sure you'd hold on for any longer. 'please,' you added as an afterthought.
that made joshua's smile turn into a smirk. 'such a polite princess i have, how lucky i am.' noticing twitch in your body, his smirk only grew. 'you like being called princess?'
shame coursed through your body but you couldn't deny it; you were sure your whole face was red but joshua only cooed lovingly at you and dived back in with 'then my princess will come.' gripping the sheets, you moaned loudly at joshua doubling his efforts. his tongue circled your sensitive and swollen nub, sucked on it until you started to move away, not bearing this clash of sensations. he held on your hips, not letting you move and sucked harder, groaning when you tried to push your thighs together, coming with his name on your lips. with a loud exhale, you melt into the bed, breathing heavily. you felt joshua moving but couldn't move, only reacting when his face appeared above yours. he stared at you lovingly, moving hair out of your forehead.
'that was amazing,' you breathed out sincerely.
he smiled. 'that was only the start, sweetheart.' at your widened eyes, he frowned. 'you want to stop?'
'no, i just-' you gulped with your dry throat. 'i thought that you know, now we'll just-' you made vague gesture with your hand.
joshua's face broke into a pity. 'oh, darling, you have never been spoiled, have you?' at the lack of your answer, joshua leaned in, rubbing your noses together. 'let me take care of you.'
his fingers danced on your skin until he reached your clit, smiling at your sharp intake of breath. he stared at you like you are one of the wonders in this world, like unraveling you is an honor. 'you are so beautiful,' he whispered, slowly entering one finger in. your back arched instinctively and he placed a kiss on your forehead. 'so gorgeous.' he moved down, leaving open mouth kisses on your neck and collarbones, all while experimentally moving his finger in and out. 'so lovely.' his lips closed around your nipple and you gripped his hair, moaning. he continued assaulting your breast and added second finger in, scissoring them inside. all of your sense came alive, body sensitive after the first time. realizing that joshua liked you being vocal, you started to moan shamelessly, moving your hips a little to match his movements. head clouded with arousal, you barely registered his whispers, his words of devotion and appreciation spoken into your skin in hopes to tattoo them there forever. joshua moved to another breast and you tugged at his hair, when he added third finger. tension inside your body was about to snap and you wanted to warn him but instead what came out from your mouth was a loud shout as you came for the second time. joshua didn't stop his fingers and rode your through your orgasm, smirking at the aftershocks, your body twitching in his hands.
'you did so good,' he praised, lightly slapping your swollen clit. 'took my fingers so well, love, just like i knew you would.'
'you..' you gasped, opening your eyes forcefully. 'you thought of this?'
'you have no idea how often,' he confessed, staring into your eyes so you could see that he's being honest. 'and dreams fade in comparison to reality.'
sweaty and tired, you looked up at him, unable to believe that you managed to score someone like that after all of your failures. maybe this was universe's way of making it up to you? 'this is unreal,' you murmured, unafraid of sounding weird.
joshua's smirk faded into a gentle smile. 'it is.' he slowly inserted two fingers inside you again. 'you are such a dream.'
he moved and only then you felt his hardness; you gasped and wanted to address this but joshua shushed with you a kiss. without a word he moved you to the lay on your side, plastering himself to your back and lifting your leg a little. 'it won't hurt at all,' he reassured, guiding the tip inside of you. 'right, princess? you are all relaxed and wet, all ready for me, right?'
those words made you unclench and you melted on his chest, nodding eagerly. you were tired and sated but desire to feel joshua inside you overpowered all of it. 'please,' you repeated again and joshua groaned lightly, tucking his face in your neck. 'please, shua.'
instead of answering he slowly filled you up to the brim, moaning with you at the feeling. you clenched around him, hissing at him bucking his hips instinctively. you moved, delirious on the sensations of finally having him inside. it felt too good to be true, your eyes rolled back to your head when he moved his hips experimentally. your loud moan startled even you and joshua chuckled into ear, gripping your leg tighter. 'that good, darling?'
you didn't reply. your mouth opened in a soundless moan as he started to move, short thrusts targeted right at driving you insane. his lips on your neck sucked little bruises and you obeyed when he ordered you tot ouch yourself. circling your clit, you kept moaning his name at every single one of his thrusts, spurring him on. lost in a haze of pleasure, you didn't register his curse words or the way he angled your body for a better access - he used your body the way he wanted and you were absolutely okay with it. whispering sweet nothings into your ear, joshua's hips did a wonderful job of bringing yo to the edge alarmingly fast. you jolted with each thrust, fingers fastening their pace at your clit - 'josh,' you called, whimpering. 'josh, i'm- too much, i'm gonna-'
'clench around me,' he asked and you quickly did so, making him groan. 'that's it, doll, keep doing that.'
wanting to be good for him, you continued to clench, bringing your orgasm closer and closer. when joshua's pace turned erratic you wailed, coming undone and trashing a little in his hold. he held you tight and came after few more thrusts, slipping out of you and spoiling the sheets. trembling, you moved fully to the side, sighing at joshua's kisses all over your back. 'you did so good, darling.' he praised, caressing your body. 'want to go to the shower or-'
'if you think i am capable of moving then you're underestimating yourself,' you cut him off, knowing he is smiling without having to look at him. 'i can barely feel my legs.'
'but that's good, right?' he leaned over you, making you look up.
there was an unhidden worry in his gaze that tugged at your heartstrings. there was no one like him, you knew. and he was nothing like all other boys. no one will compare - that you also knew. 'very good,' you confirmed, smiling at his sigh of relief.
'let me hold you.' he moved and opened his arms, content when you cuddle to him. 'let's stay like that for a minute.'
'let's stay like that for much longer than a minute,' you argued, making him chuckle.
'forever?' he asked and you blushed, hiding your face in his chest. 'what? sounds good to me.'
for me too, you thought but didn't say it out loud. for me too.
a/n: two months of talking and it's finally here, i want to thank my persistent anxiety for not letting me leave something in my drafts unfinished :') let me know what you thought of this one! - nini

Do you like seeing cubitos hurt in a variety of ways, and then comforted afterwards? Do you sometimes go "man I wish I had an incredibly long list of ways to hurt and then comfort my guys"? Do you like working to a prompt someone gave you? Do deadlines comfortably far off in May fill you with a sense of security and peace?
CAN I INTEREST YOU IN THE HURT/COMFORT EXCHANGE?
The exchange is a big multi-fandom exchange, so as with other exchanges, you sign up with your list of Requests (things you'd like as a gift), and Offers (things you're willing to make as a gift), Ao3 runs a big machine that matches you, and then you will have six weeks to work on your gift before the deadline. It's a freeform exchange, so in addition to matching on ships (CharacterA & Character B (Character A Hurt) or Character A/Character B (Both Hurt)), you also need to have signed up and said that what you want for the gift is "Arranged Marriage - friends try to comfort anxious newlywed". Or "Character A Takes A Blow Meant For Character B". Or "Character who is afraid of vulnerability cries during sex". Or "Estranged Characters - Injured A shows Up on B's doorstep Saying "I didn't know where else to go"". I could go ON. There are probably thousands of freeform tags and honestly sometimes I browse them for inspiration.
We are currently in the nominations phase, which is when everybody submits the ships and freeforms they want to see in the tagset, because once Nominations are over, you will only be able to sign up with the ships and freeforms (basically little prompts) that people have already submitted to the tagset.
The schedule for the event this year is:
Nominations: 9 - 25 Feb
Signups: 1-15 March
Posting deadline: 31 May
Work reveal: 7th June
Creator reveal: 14th June
So I am come to you here now because we are in prime time to get your blorbo into the tag set. A friend last night realized the event was going, and started nominating, but you're limited in the number of tags you can nominate, and they basically just got Emduo into the tagset. Which is great for me, but some people like other ships, so. I am throwing this open. Do you want to join me?
When you nominate the ships, you nominate them with the names like normal, but you also throw in a parentheses that says which of the people in the ship is being hurt. Like one of the QSMP tags is "Ángel Missael Castañeda Vega | MissaSinfonia/Phil Watson | Philza (Hurt Missa)". Somebody wants to see the reaper cry. OR there's hurt Philza! Or both hurt! Or you, I am gesturing wildly, could get other ships into the tagset! I just nominated spiderbit for the spiderbit friends.
So come! Nominate tags with us! Have ships you want to see put through the wringer? Have a fantastic idea for a scenario that can fit into 100 characters as a freeform tag? Join! Nominate! Sign up with us later! Exchanges!

Hey!
I watched Gen V and fell in love with Jordan x Marie, so I was hoping to request a piece between them. it can be pretty much anything haha sorry for the lack of imagination, I trust you’ll do it justice regardless. If anything, however, I’m a whore for angst with a slide of fluff or smut🤭 thank you so much in advance for considering my request!
Brewing Love
pairing: jordan li x marie moreau
tw: cursing, mentions of horrible professors, nothing else really
description: marie is in desperate need of a place to write her term paper in... and she find the perfect little cafe owned by the one and only jordan li.
a/n: hii tysm for ur request <3 hopefully this is something that you were looking for since you gave such an open prompt lol, i didn't really do much angst and i don't write smut at all really so i'm hoping and praying this is still enjoyable to read. limoreau has my heart and i might make a part 2 to this someday.
Tumblr media
(they both look so hot here i'm not okay)
Marie was stressed out. Her term paper was due in two days and she had barely drafted a plan yet. Usually she was better at dealing with assignments, for goodness sake she usually got them finished the day they were assigned! But this one assignment slipped by her for multiple reasons:
1. She hated the professor teaching it.
2. Said professor explained the paper horribly.
3. She was busy as fuck.
Now Marie was struggling with what most seasoned professionals call a “writing slump”. Honestly Marie was surprised she hadn’t completely burnt out by this point but this situation was not going to make the paper write itself. And so… she continued to procrastinate in a multitude of ways, which may or may not have included reading fanfics of her most recent obsession. By the time she had finished reading something that would probably be considered a novel the sun was already dipping behind the Performing Arts school that Marie’s window faced. Well shit.
Marie realized that she desperately needed a change of scenery so at least half of this paper could be written out tonight. That meant having to find a good enough cafe close to campus since she knew that the library would be packed full of students in the same situation as she was right now. As she packed up her laptop and notes, she tried to find a good cafe with wifi. Key-word: tried.
She spent a whole ten minutes scrolling through student forums and Google Maps until she finally found somewhere decent… a place that was even owned by a God U graduate. So she quickly grabbed her headphones and started walking out of campus in the direction of ‘The Woods’.
A loud guitar solo was blasting through her headphones when Marie pushed open the door to the beautifully decorated cafe. She stared in wonder at the multiple lights that hung from the ceiling adorned with vintage lampshades as well as the huge variety of plants and greenery that decorated the place. Oh she had definitely made the right choice.
Slipping off her headphones and dropping them into the opening of her backpack Marie fixed her shirt and walked up to the counter. She waited for one of the other customers, a tall blonde dude she vaguely recognized from God U. The guy was directly talking to one of the baristas behind the counter who had a little name tag that read: ‘Andre’ and was decorated with random sketches.
“Andre stop fucking flirting! We have an actual customer that’s not Luke.” A velvety voice yelled out from behind one of the fancy coffee machines before a figure stepped out and Marie stood dumbfounded. How could one person look so fucking stunning?
“Sorry man.” Marie was brought back to Earth as the voice of Andre cut through her haze. Shit when was she last attracted to someone this much? Probably never.
“Nah it’s good, Cate’s probably waiting for me. This place has the best coffee by the way.” The blonde guy, who Marie knew was called Luke now, said as he turned and gave her a wink before he walked off with two cuts filled with matcha.
“Flattery isn’t going to make me forget Luke, but you actually paying would. Hi, sorry about th-” The barista yelled at Luke’s retreating back before they focused back on Marie. Jordan felt their jaw drop open as the person in front of them smiled sheepishly with a little twinkle in her eye.
“Uh you okay?” Marie asked as her smile dropped into a more confused expression.
“Yes, yup, sorry. Long day. What can I get you?”
“I actually have no idea, do you have anything that’ll get my paper written for me?” Marie asked as a laugh left her mouth. Jordan immediately thought that she had the nicest laugh she had ever heard. It was like the congruence of dozens of instruments.
“Unfortunately not, who do you have as your professor? I may be able to help, I graduated only like 2 years ago so I should be able to give some pointers.” Marie smiled in gratitude as she leaned onto the counter, getting closer to Jordan in the process.
“Powell.” Jordan let out a low, agonized groan as their face twisted in disgust.
“He’s still around?”
“Unfortunately.”
“God, that man is like the worst professor in history.”
“Totally agree. Uh, I’m Marie by the way.” Marie said as she extended her hand which Jordan promptly shook, they immediately took note of the slightly raised skin in the center of Marie’s palm.
“Jordan. Nice to-”
“Oh and who’s flirting with customers now, huh?” Andre teased as he walked back out into the main counter area and sent a cheeky smile to Marie.
“Fuck off Andre.” Marie let out a laugh at Jordan’s annoyed tone when she realized she was still holding their hand. She almost felt unable to pull away from the easy warmth that emanated from them. Then almost by magic Jordan’s hand slightly changed before her eyes and she glanced up to see that Jordan had shifted, only for them to pull their hand away from hers in favor of pushing Andre.
“Oww okay fine whatever, I shall stop your highness.” Andre exclaimed out as he retreated to the other cash register. Jordan turned around and stared at Marie for another second before a smile reappeared on his face.
“Sorry about that, no idea why I hired him.”
“It’s cause I’m the best, obviously.” Andre chimed out, making Jordan send him another poisonous glare which softened the second they looked back at Marie.
“So have you decided what you want?”
“Coffee I guess? That’s probably the only thing that will get me through this.”
“Actually… would you mind if I recommended something else? It was my tried and true fix when I was in the same boat as you.”
“Oh my god, you would do that?! Yes, please I will take anything.”
“Okay great, go ahead and set up anywhere and I’ll have Andre bring it to you.”
“Cool, how much do I owe you?”
“Nothing, you’re a first time customer and you look like you desperately need it.” Plus you’re too fucking pretty for me not to want you to come back soon - Jordan added in their head.
“I- thank you.”
“Of course.” Jordan flashed Marie a smile as she turned and walked over to one of the tables.
“Oh you’re so fucking gone for her.”
“Shut the fuck up Andre.”

Starfall
Pairing: Mor x Reader
Summary: Day 6: Character A was so busy planning the perfect Starfall party, they forgot to get a date. Character B has an idea.
Warnings: Unedited, I'll do it after.
A/N: First of I am so sorry this is taking me this long, sorry if this one sucks I wrote it in a hurry. This is my submission to starfall week. Hope you like this 💕
Tagging: @carinaswife @starfallweek
Dialogue Prompts Masterlist
○●○●○●○●○●○●○●○
You sigh looking around The House of Wind. It was your responsibility to hold a party this year, you had volunteered after seeing how much work Rhysand and Feyre already had. He was a little hesitant at first, never having given someone else the job of organizing the festival celebration, but he ultimately agreed because you were right, he didn't have time to think about such things.
You knew you had to do your best, having a dull party wasn't an option. There was no way you were forcing Rhys to take a break one year only for him to regret and never give the responsibility to anyone else.
You went all out, no limit on anything. Alcohol, decoration, food. You were busting your ass from an entire month, planning this party. You wanted it to be perfect, wanted everyone else to think it was perfect.
"You've done a brilliant job." Mor's voice filled with wonder as she looks around the room. A small group of people had gathered around the room, chatting and drinking, waiting for the show to begin at night. The actual crowd yet to come, considering the party had just begin.
You had heard a lot of compliments this evening, everyone seeming to like what you did with the opportunity. The heavy decoration getting special attention and wondering eyes. You admit, if felt really good, the appreciation but you were yet to get the approval of your high lord and lady.
When you turned around to look at More, your breath caught up. Wearing a shimmering white gown that started at her chest, just the right amount of her cleavage picking out from the hem, with no sleeves, showing off her smooth skin, and ending at her ankles, her feet tucked in light blue heels. And adorned with a thin diamond necklace and earrings.
She looked break takingly beautiful.
Gods the things you want to do to her.
Her eye brows raise in a silent question when you dont say anything and just stare at her. You close your opened mouth and clear your throat, trying not to seem like a hopeless in love. She doesn't know of your feelings and you don't intent on telling her.
"Thank you. You look- really good." You silently curse at youself for being dumbstruck. Her lips pirk up in a smirk, the slight hitch in your voice revealing a lot more then you wish for it too. She thanks you and stands beside you, looking over at the people.
"So, why are you not ready yet? You planning it would make people believe you would be the first to get ready." Her tone teasing but that doesn't stop you in sighing.
"There was a problem with the music band, trying to clear it took more time then I thought it would." You glance down at yourself, standing in a plain shirt and pants, while everyone else was looking thier finest. You should probably get ready now, before more people come.
Mor lets out a hum before speaking again, "And who is your date for the evening?"
Your cheeks flush and you look away from her brown eyes, "I don't have one."
She turns to you, eyes furrowed. "Why not? The last I heard you were with a handsome cook."
"That was months ago." Before I realized just how deep my feelings run for you. You don't speak the words you think. "And I didn't get any time to ask someone." You shrug.
"But you want one, don't you? Seeing you without a date on Starfall in wired for me." It's not a dig, you know it because it's true. You always had a date at Starfall, different males and females in your arms every year, inhopes that someone will spark your interest more then the female standing in front of you, none have made it to second year though.
"It's alright." You shrug again, trying to make your statement believable.
She is silent for a minute before nodding to herself, seeming decide on something and smiles. "I will be your date."
You freeze. Your eyes snapping to hers the second later. Mischief written clearly in them as she takes your hand. "Oh- No, no. It's alright you don't need to do that for me- I mean, I'll be alright. Cause like I don't need a date. Not that I don't want one but, I don't need one- I'll just stay single fur one year. It's okay. You don't need to-" You babble in nervousness, unable to think straight as her smile widens at your state and her hand grips tighter on yours.
"Y/N, shut up." You quickly do, knowing if not then you'll probably say something you'll regret later. "I will be your date It's finale. Now go get ready."
She releases your hand and nudges you toward the bedrooms. You go obediently, without another word as you try to process what just happened.
This is like a dream come true.
-☆-
A knock your door disturbs you as you try to think yourself up in the mirror. You are ready, wearing your dress and hair the way you decided. You look beautiful, smiling at yourself as you turn to look at yourself from every angle. Mor having told you about your plans just made you more motivated to look your best.
You nod at yourself one last time before turning to open the door. Standing on the other side is Morrigan, holding a bouquet of flowers. Her mouth openeing slightly as she looks at you, up and down, and again, not knowing what to say.
"You, look really beautiful." She smiles at your and you blush under her stare. "And these are for you." She hands you the bouquet. "My date." Her smirk widens when you take it from her, your face unable to hold your smile. You thank her and she holds out a hand,"Shall we?"
"Why not." You nod and put aside the flowers, taking her hand and closing to door behind you. "I still can't believe you declared yourself my date." The two of you laugh and you prepare youself for the night ahead.
-☆-
At the end of the night, you stand at a balcony, looking over the stars crashing into each other. The colours illuminating against your face and you close your eyes to bask in them.
"You truly are so beautiful." A murmur laced with wonder speaks from beside you as Mor comes, leaning on the railing ahead of you. Your smile automatically widens at her voice, her perfume, her presence. You open your eyes to look into hers.
Oh how gorgeous she is.
You want to hold her close and never let go. Kiss her and touch her until all she knows is you. Love and pamper her in the way no one ever has. Stand on this very railing and scream on top of your lungs, declaring your love for her until the entire world knows just who you belong to.
Maybe you've had quiet a lot of drinks.
"Kiss me." You whisper, your drunken mind not caring about the consequences of your words.
Her eyes flare in surprise, "What?"
"Kiss me." You repeat, grining widely at her.
She is silent for a moment before she lifts her hand to cup your cheek. "You don't mean that."
"I do." You nod enthusiasticly. "Kiss me." You say aloud for the third time, looking at her lips and licking your in anticipation.
"No, you kiss me." Now she can't help but agree, seeing the happiness in your eyes. She wants you, so much, but if your doing this just because your drunk, she might as well let herself this small moment of content.
Your hands lift to wrap around her neck and your lips rest on hers. Both of you sighing in content when you finally kiss the other. In a rush of moment, your tougnes mangle, your breaths mix as you moan in the others taste. Having tiptoed around the other for years, you finally let yourselves have this small moment, not caring about the future.
You kiss each other like your life depends in it. Your head spins, from the alcohol or the kiss your not sure. Mor's lips just as intoxicating. You kiss until your lips feel numb, you finally pull back, resting your foreheads together, looking into the others eyes with equally widened smiles.
You don't care what happens in the morning, only that you love her now and kiss her again with everything you have.

The Paradis Marriage Pact
Author: taomyou Pairing: Levi Ackerman x Reader Summary: Do you believe in soulmates? No. Do you believe that Jean's coding project can introduce you to someone special? Not really, but your mind can be changed. Word Count: 6.1k Tags: modern au, university au, strangers to lovers, fluff, meet-cute, matchmaking, one-shot
The Paradis Marriage Pact
"Hey, do you think Levi believes in soulmates?" Hange asks, looking up from their laptop at Erwin. The two friends are in a study lounge reviewing for midterms, but it seems that Hange's taking a break since they're asking weird questions.
"I'm not sure. Why do you ask?"
To that, Hange angles their screen towards Erwin so he can see what they're looking at. The website they're on looks simple enough: it seems just like any other standard testing site. "This second-year in my biotech lecture sent out the link to everyone! It's a matchmaking form for students here!"
Looking closer at the screen, he sees "PARADIS MARRIAGE PACT" in big, bold letters at the top of the page. What's this got to do with whether or not Levi believes in soulmates?
"You didn't answer my question, Hange. What are you planning?"
Hange dramatically leans back into the sofa, arms crossed and a sinister grin on their face. "I'm filling this out on our dear friend's behalf!"
"And does our dear friend know about this?"
"Of course not!" Hange laughs, "he'd skin me alive if he knew!"
"Well, you're right about that," says Erwin.
Hange nods at him before moving back to their earlier position closer to the table in front of them. "Wanna help me fill it out?"
With a laugh, Erwin shakes his head but starts putting away his own laptop and books. Once his bag is zipped, he scoots over to sit closer to Hange. "Sure, why not?"
"Really? I'll text Levi and ask about the whole soulmates thing, but we can just skip that for now!"
"I don't wanna take it!"
"You can't not take it! The rest of us just did it!"
"Yeah, Connie's right," Sasha says, poking at your shoulder.
You groan and swat her hand away.
You and your friends have spent the last several hours in one of the library study rooms. Connie organized it as a "group study session," but you're sure you and Jean are the only ones actually being productive. You're not sure about Connie since you can't see his screen from where you're sitting, but Sasha's spent this entire time playing Overcooked! 2 in multiplayer mode with who you assume is him. Then, about 30 minutes ago, Connie started complaining about his engineering midterm, which prompted Sasha to complain about her physics midterm, which then prompted Jean to talk about his semester-long coding project.
"Could you guys fill this out? I need at least a thousand participants by the end of next week to get an A on this, and I already sent it to everyone I could," Jean asked, forwarding the link to the group chat.
You click on it and are brought to the website.
PARADIS MARRIAGE PACT: Fall in love today!
Leave it to Jean to choose to make a matchmaking website for his final project. Sasha and Connie found the premise to be quite fun, whereas you rolled your eyes at the page.
"Love calculators already exist," you criticized, exiting out of the tab immediately. Jean flipped you off from across the table, not appreciating your comment.
Which brings you to now, where Connie, Sasha, and Jean have been trying to pressure you into filling out the Paradis Marriage Pact. You don't really get why they want you specifically to do it, since you know Jean's popular and he could probably get enough responses, but it's probably more about annoying you than it is them actually wanting you to find the love of your life.
"If you need responses so bad, I can use my extra emails to spam random answers," you offer.
Jean shakes his head, tutting loudly. "You have to input your school email. Besides, if those answers paired you with someone who made the Pact honestly, they'd be heartbroken."
"So? Serves them right for taking some random sophomore's mandatory coding project seriously."
Connie and Sasha burst into laughter, which earns them a glare from Jean. You sigh dramatically and rest your head on your hand.
"Don't be mean! I put a lot of effort into this project!"
You never doubted that he did, him being a CS major, but it was still entertaining to poke fun at him.
"I have an idea! Why don't we fill it out for her?" Sasha suggests, and you see her open the link to start typing in your name. You immediately perk up and try to get her to stop, but she hurriedly picks up her laptop and rushes over to the other side of the table where Jean and Connie huddle closer to her. "Do either of you know her school email?"
"She forwarded me something a while ago, I can check," Connie says, opening his own laptop to find your information.
It's then that you know that you can either do it yourself or let these fools try to guess how you'd answer, and one of those possibilities is infinitely worse than the other.
"Okay, fine! I'll do it!"
All of them smile and immediately get up to crowd you, the sound of their rolling chairs filling the room as they push them to your side of the table. Sasha offers her laptop to you, and you place it on top of one of your textbooks. You type in your school email and some other information, and then you're brought to your first prompt.
It's okay that my partner drinks.
□ Agree □ Disagree
You check off the box for 'agree' and move on. The next couple of questions are easy enough, just asking what activities you're okay with, but your friends are still watching you intensely, and it unnerves you slightly.
After confirming that you are, in fact, not okay with your partner doing hard drugs, you're faced with the next question.
Do you believe in soulmates?
□ Yes □ No
You click on 'no,' but before you're able to tap the button to move on, Jean speaks up.
"What do you mean, 'no?'"
You turn to face him, completely deadpan and unamused. "You made this quiz, why would you even ask if you're gonna get butthurt about people not agreeing with you?"
"It's not about that! You just seem like you'd be into that sort of thing."
You hum, looking back at your screen. "Nah, I think soulmates are kinda stupid."
Midterms came and went, but that "end of next week" deadline came even quicker for Jean. He managed to get the thousand answers he needed for the chance at an A, but he was stressed as all hell up until the very last day when he finally got enough participants. Unfortunately, it didn't get easier for him since he's been stressing about the next part of the assignment, so you, Sasha, and Connie decided to invite him out to dinner to try and help him destress. It's probably not working if all he's doing is complaining about his professor.
"Seriously, what kind of professor requires a thousand participants in that amount of time? This is a lower-division coding class, for fuck's sake, not Advanced Media Advertising!" He complains, taking a long sip of his soda.
"He sounds terrible, but, hey, at least you got enough answers," says Connie.
You and Sasha nod along while Jean takes another sip before speaking again.
"You guys don't get it! He's the actual devil! You guys are so lucky you'll never have to take his class!"
"What's left for you to do, anyway?" You ask.
"There's a report I have to write. I have to prove my project was successful, too, so I gotta find a couple that the program matched."
"And how exactly are you going to do that?"
"The program should've sent everyone an email with their match's name and contact information by now. I just need a couple to reply to it and agree to get interviewed."
"Man, good luck with that, nobody checks their email," Connie winces.
Jean buries his face in his hands, groaning in agony. "I know! That's why I'm still so worried!"
"Couldn't you just lie?" Sasha inquires.
Jean shakes his head. "The professor wants the audio from the interview and a picture of the couple together. It's so fucking stupid, what do either of those things even have to do with the class?" Suddenly, his face brightens, and now he's looking between you, Sasha, and Connie. "Can't one of you guys just go out with your match? Oh, I'm a fucking genius!"
The three of you awkwardly make eye contact with one another, mostly to avoid looking at Jean himself.
"Uh, dude, I don't really think any of us are up for that," Connie says.
"Yeah. Don't get me wrong, the questionnaire was fun to do as, like, a personality quiz, but I'm not down," Sasha adds.
Jean's face falls, and he turns to look at you.
By now, his hands are in a prayer position.
The likelihood of anyone getting back to the email Jean sent is slim-to-none, nevermind the likelihood of a couple replying.
You know how hard he works—the two of you study together practically every other day in the library—and despite his popularity, he's not one to go out often, instead staying in to work on projects or research. He really is adamant about doing well on this project and you know he could somehow make it out with a decent grade, but maybe you could do this tiny favor to help him out. It's not like it'd be all that hard, right? Meeting with your match and getting interviewed doesn't sound like too much of a hassle, especially since you're already close with Jean.
You can't really believe that you're choosing to help him, considering how much of a fight you put up when you were asked to take the Pact in the first place, but whatever. You smile at Jean and give him a thumbs-up.
"Sure, I got you."
Jean practically jumps out of his seat to give you a hug, laughing and smiling brightly. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!"
You give him a firm pat on the back before prying him away from you so he can go back to his seat. "Really, thank you so much! This makes everything so much easier!"
You blush in embarrassment, not really used to affection from Jean, but hey. He looks like a weight's been lifted off his chest, and that's why you're all out tonight anyway. "Yeah, yeah, let me check my email for a name, though."
Jean eagerly nods, a smile still on his face. Sasha and Connie don't look like they have anything to say, but they pay attention to you, probably also excited to know who your match is.
You don't have any sort of hopes for who it could be, not having your eye on anyone anyway, but you just hope they're understanding enough to agree to an interview. You open your mail app and tap on the "Search mail" prompt to type in "Paradis Marriage Pact." There's only one email related to your search, so you click on it to find your match's name in big, dark letters.
"Any of you guys know somebody named Levi Ackerman?"
Somewhere in an empty lecture hall across campus, Hange, Levi, and Erwin are all lazing around after their last class. Levi's laptop is connected to the projector, and he's just scrolling through different streaming sites.
"Why the fuck are we even in here? We can just watch something at home."
"Because, Levi, tuition's too expensive to not make use of the grand halls at our disposal!"
"Imagine not being a scholarship student."
Erwin and Hange laugh, and the latter gets up from their seat to go over to Levi to help him choose something to watch. He refuses them at first, but they just shove him around enough to get him to give up and go sit where they just were. In the middle of some more aimless scrolling, they notice that there's a tab opened to Levi's email.
Hange did overhear someone last week telling that second-year that they got their results back from the Paradis Marriage Pact, so they get the stupid genius idea to try and look through Levi's email for his match. Switching tabs, they type in "Paradis Marriage Pact" into the "Search mail" prompt.
"Oi! What the fuck are you doing?" Levi exclaims.
Hange waves him off, not looking up from the screen. Erwin just has to sit back and watch it all unfold in front of him, the projector magnifying everything that Hange's doing. Finding the unopened email, they click on it and see a name printed in the same font as the initial title for the questionnaire page. Next to the name is a phone number.
Levi still doesn't really understand what Hange's doing, but whatever it is can't be good. He gets up again and rushes for his laptop, disconnecting it from the projector and closing it before Hange can try anything else.
"What do you think you're doing?"
"Nothing!" Hange nervously laughs and looks past Levi's shoulder at Erwin for back up.
Levi follows their eyes over to the man as well. Erwin gets up from his seat, joining the other two at the front of the hall.
"Just forget it, Hange. It was already wrong of us to submit answers for Levi."
"Again, what the fuck are you guys talking about? And what the fuck is the 'Paradis Marriage Pact?' Did you sign me up for a mail-order bride or something?"
Hange extends out both their arms, frantically waving off the accusations and shaking their head. "No, no! This kid in my biotech programed some matchmaking site, so I thought it'd be neat to submit something for you," Hange explains.
Levi exhales deeply, pinching his nose between his fingers. "So you think I need help from a fucking website to find a girlfriend? Just how pathetic do you think I am?"
"You literally have not dated since, like, high school!"
"And? That's a problem how?"
Erwin puts a hand on Levi's shoulder, though it gets swatted away just as quickly. "It isn't, we just thought it'd be fun. We're sorry," Erwin says.
It's certainly frustrating that Hange acts this way, interfering with his personal life, but he knows they mean well (emphasis on "mean.")
Erwin does too, so as much as he hates this, he'll let this one slide. It's a Friday, and the week has been exhausting enough. Erwin and Hange look at one another while Levi reaches into his back pocket to take out his phone. He felt a buzz, so he probably got a text from someone. When he turns on his phone, however, he sees that the notification is a text from a number he doesn't have saved.
Unknown Number - 6:27 PM
is this levi ackerman? this is your match from the paradis marriage pact
He frowns at the text but doesn't say anything. He'll deal with it later.
"Just don't do this again, so help me, God."
Hange's eyes bug out of their head. "You're not mad at us?"
Levi scoffs. "I'm mad, but I'm too tired of your shit to beat you into the ground right now."
"Let's go back home now, yeah?" Erwin suggests, his body facing the door.
After Levi wordlessly puts his laptop in his backpack, the three head back to their shared apartment. Erwin occasionally greets people that recognize him on the walk over, but other than that, they travel in complete silence to avoid pissing off Levi any further.
Once Levi's in his room, he shrugs off his backpack to put near his door and takes out his phone, walking over to the chair he has at his desk. He sits down, turns on his phone, and stares at the message he got.
In the first place, he has no idea what the fuck this Paradis Marriage Pact shit is.
Yeah, sure, Hange described it as a matchmaking program, but it's not like that's much to go off of. He switches over to his mail app to find the email sent from the site.
There still isn't much information—just the match's name, phone number, and a message at the bottom: Please reply to this email if your match is successful and you'd like to be interviewed! He rolls his eyes—the email looks formal enough, but there's no way anyone's going to actually reply to it. He also compares the number that texted him earlier and the number listed on the email.
They match, so he replies to the text.
Levi - 7:33 PM
Yes, this is Levi
Unknown Number - 7:39 PM
sorry if this is weird but i need a favor
Levi - 7:40 PM
Sorry, not interested in dating
Unknown Number - 7:40 PM
me neither
...Doesn't make much sense to text a match from something called a "marriage pact" if you're not interested, but alright. Levi isn't going to question it; he's doing the same thing replying to this person.
Unknown Number - 7:41 PM
could we meet up?
Levi - 7:42 PM
I said I'm not interested You literally just agreed with me
Unknown Number - 7:42 PM
no its not like that!!
Levi - 7:43 PM
Ok, then what's the favor?
Unknown Number - 7:43 PM
my friend is the guy who made the paradis marriage pact program and he needs help getting data from a successful match
Levi - 7:45 PM
And you want me to help because the email asking for it was so pathetic that he needed to get help from someone he knows personally?
Unknown Number - 7:46 PM
exactly! so are you up for it?
Levi - 7:46 PM
No
Unknown Number - 7:47 PM
we'd just have to answer some interview questions together
Levi - 7:47 PM
I said no already
Unknown Number - 7:48 PM
i already told my friend that i'd help him :( please?? i can buy you a drink
Levi - 7:50 PM
Why not just make up the data?
Unknown Number - 7:50 PM
... they need a recorded audio file of the couple talking and a picture
Levi - 7:51 PM
That's an awful lot for just a project
Unknown Number - 7:51 PM
if it means anything, he has dr pixis
Levi frowns.
He had Pixis for Intro to Python in his first year, and it's the only class he's gotten a B in since enrolling at Paradis University. Pixis is notorious for being a harsh grader, but there's only one other professor that offers lower-division technology course requirements for CS majors, so everyone has to take him at some point. It makes sense now that whoever made the Paradis Marriage Pact is scrambling for data. It's stupid that whoever made this decided to reach out for information over email, nevermind over school email, but Levi knows it's too late in the semester to try something else.
Unknown Number - 7:55 PM
ik its asking a lot and i have no idea who you are but if we matched then maybe it wont be so bad
Levi - 7:56 PM
I didn't take it My roommates did it for me and they probably answered it differently than I would've
Unknown Number - 7:57 PM
even better!! we already know we arent a match so theres no expectations
God, she isn't going to stop asking, is she? Levi can't judge their dedication to the cause, though; it's admirable that she's willing to reach out to a complete stranger just to help her friend.
Levi - 7:57 PM
If we aren't a real match, doesn't that make your friend's project a failure?
Unknown Number - 7:58 PM
technically, that isn't his fault
Levi - 8:00 PM
You're not giving up, are you?
Unknown Number - 8:01 PM
i will if you say no again
Great, she's a good friend, and she's respectful.
Levi himself can't believe that he's seriously about to go along with this.
For all he knows, this girl could be a fucking axe-murderer, but, at the same time, he knows how fucking miserable it is to have Pixis for any class ever. She can't be that bad if she hasn't prodded him for any actual information, and she sincerely seems to not be interested in getting to know him.
Just an interview, some pictures, and he'd never have to cross paths with her again?
Yeah, he can do that.
Levi - 8:03 PM
Okay, but you're still buying me a drink
Unknown Number - 8:04 PM
deal!! thank you so much!! let me ask my friend when we can do the interview
"What do you mean you can't come? You're literally supposed to interview us in," you pull your phone away from your ear to check the time, 1:55 PM, "5 minutes!"
"I'm so sorry! I forgot I had a midterm today, and I can't get to you guys and make it back in time!" Jean says.
You groan and change the hand your phone is in. "What the fuck, man, midterm season was over, like, a month ago."
"I know! But Shadis kept pushing it back because people kept asking for more time to study!"
"So what do you want me to do? He already didn't want to do this, and I don't want to inconvenience him even more by changing the date this late."
"I can text you the questions, and you can go through them together."
"What about the audio file?"
"Just record it on your phone, and I'll edit in my voice so it sounds like I'm actually there."
You roll your eyes. "Are you sure that's a good idea?"
"I don't really have a choice."
"Well, you're right about that. Let's just hope this Levi guy is okay with this."
"Okay with what, exactly?"
Looking towards the voice, you see a raven-haired guy around your age dressed in a neat black shirt and dark jeans. Before this, you texted each other the details of your outfits so you could find each other in the café Jean picked out for the three of you to meet, so you know that it's Levi. He seems to have a frown on his face, but you just hope that it's not directed towards you.
Despite that, though, he's.. really attractive.
You try not to dwell on that as you motion him to sit in the booth with you. He does so wordlessly and takes out his own phone to busy himself.
"I'll owe you forever, okay?"
You sigh, putting your elbow on the table. "Damn right you will. I get it, though. I'll try to make it work." You can hear him sigh in relief on the other end of the line.
"Thank you! I gotta go now, but send me the audio after! Don't forget the picture too!"
"It's no problem, Jean. Good luck on your midterm, you got this," you say, then bringing your phone away from your ear to end the call.
Levi clears his throat from across you to get your attention. "Is your friend on the way?" he asks.
You nervously laugh. "Yeah.. so about him, he can't make it."
"Is he who you were just on the phone with?"
You nod, looking away from him. "He called me and said he has a midterm today," you say.
He nods in what you want to interpret as understanding, but he's probably just confused. "Bit late for midterms, no?"
You nod, anxiously laughing again. "I told him the same thing, but he said his professor pushed it back."
"Pushing back a test that far sounds like a fucking terrible idea, but okay."
You hear a buzz come from your phone, so you pick it up to see a text from Jean. Opening it, you see that it's the questions Jean's supposed to be asking you and Levi. You put your phone back on the table and slide it over to Levi to look at.
"He sent me the questions, if you wanted to look at them."
"Just send them to me," he says, ignoring your device. You nod and take your phone back, quickly copying the text and forwarding it to Levi. "I assume we're still going to do this without him?"
You smile sheepishly at him, bringing your hands together in front of your face. "If it's okay with you. I understand if it isn't, but let me at least pay for you to get a drink before you leave. I've bothered you enough asking you to come here in the first place."
He looks up at you for a second before looking back at his phone to skim the questions.
"I don't care."
Tough crowd, huh.
Before you start, a waitress comes to your table asking what you and Levi would like to drink. You tell her you'll have a grapefruit green tea while Levi orders a cup of black tea.
"I'm gonna record the audio on my phone, and then we'll take turns answering, yeah? Jean said he'd edit in his own voice." He hums in understanding, and so you go to open your voice-recorder app and tap the "record" icon before placing your phone between the two of you. "I can answer first, since you have the questions."
He sighs.
"'What's your name?'"
You answer, and he does the same. Easy enough to start.
"'What's your major?'"
"I'm a public health major. You?"
"I'm in CS," he replies. "'How did you find out about the Paradis Marriage Pact?'"
"You forced me to take it," you say, voice wavering as you're unsure if you're supposed to pretend Jean is there or not. Levi looks up at you, his frown now replaced with a neutral expression.
"Are we going to pretend your friend is here?" He asks.
You groan and put your head down. "You're right, it's probably stupid."
He shakes his head. "No, it isn't. It'll help trick Pixis into thinking he's actually here."
You bring your head up and nod slowly, bobbing your head.
For someone who said he didn't care, he sure is nice. Well, as nice as you can be to a complete stranger.
The waitress comes back with your drinks, and you both thank her.
Levi glances back down at his phone. "'Did you know each other before the Paradis Marriage Pact?'"
"You didn't answer the last question."
Levi rolls his eyes. "I mentioned it to you before. My roommates took it for me, so I didn't even know what this thing was until one of them brought it up to me."
After reaching for your cup to take a sip, you speak up.
"Well, we gotta make something up. You could say they showed it to you, and you decided to take it," you reason. He sighs.
"Okay, then. My roommate showed it to me, and I thought it was worth taking," he says, taking a sip of his own drink. "This is good."
Having never been at this café before, you can't agree or disagree, so you just smile. You notice that he's holding his cup by the rim, which is a bit odd, but it feels fitting for him.
"And no, we didn't know each other before this. It's kind of late now, but it's nice to meet you. Thank you for agreeing to come."
"It's nice to meet you, too."
The two of you continue like this: answering questions, slowly making your way down the list. They're all pretty general—just asking about things like what careers you're aiming for and what hobbies you have. You find out that he's interested in tea tasting, and he finds out that you're interested in gardening. Quite a bit of time passes, and soon enough, it feels like you're just having a conversation with a friend and not recording an interview.
You notice that he hasn't taken a drink in a while, so you speak up to ask him about it.
"Are you out of tea?" You ask.
He nods, scrolling down to the next question. Looking around for the waitress, you call her over to your table.
"What can I help you with?" She asks.
"Could we get two more cups of black tea, please?" At the mention of the drink, Levi looks up at you and the waitress.
"Of course! Let me get that for you," and with that, she's headed off for the drink bar.
"You didn't have to get more, you know." Levi says. "Why'd you get two cups?"
You smile, bringing your cup back up to finish the last of your grapefruit tea. "If you like it, it's probably worth trying. You said you try teas a lot, so I trust that it's good." He rolls his eyes, but you can see the corner of his mouth twitch upwards into a sort of half smile. "Anyway, next question?"
"'Are you happy with your match?'"
"Well, since Jean's supposed to be interviewing a successful match, I'll go along with that. You've been good company too, so yes, I'm happy with my match."
"I feel the same, then." You're glad he goes along with your answer, so you smile over at him. "'Why do you think you were paired together?'" He reads.
"Could you answer this one first? I don't really know how we could lie about this one."
He hums, looking up at you again. "I don't know what kind of questions were on the Pact, but from our conversation so far, you seem like a good person."
You're taken off guard, so you avoid his gaze, looking down at your empty teacup. "You think so?" You can feel your ears start to get red, so you feign fixing your hair to try and cover them. You didn't expect any answer like that from him even with all the talking you've been doing, so you're flustered.
"You didn't know who I was, and you went this far to help your friend with his project. Even after I told you I'm not actually your match, you still wanted to get the data for him. I think most people in your situation would've let him figure it out on his own."
You laugh good-naturedly, putting your hands in your lap. You look up to see him still focused on you, and the blush on your face feels a little hotter.
You want to thank him and try to answer Jean's question, but before you can say anything, the waitress comes back with two new cups of black tea and takes away yours and Levi's empty cups. The two of you reach for the cups set in front of you, and you take a sip together.
"You're right, this is good," you say. He nods in agreement, and the two of you put your cups down.
"Alright, this is the last question. 'Both of you selected 'no' when asked if you believed in soulmates. Why do you believe that?'" Levi recites from Jean's questions. He pauses, a new frown forming on his face. "One of my roommates texted me to ask this a while ago. No wonder."
You laugh at that, covering your smile with your hand. "At least we don't have to come up with another lie."
He nods. "Yeah."
"Well, there's not really much to say. I think the idea that there's only one person destined to love you is pretty limiting, and then the chances of meeting them would be slim-to-none," you answer. You see Levi nod from the corner of your eye, so you continue. "Falling in love with them would be even harder. It's not really worth believing in soulmates, in my opinion."
"I feel the same way, more or less," he adds. "The idea is there, though."
"Yeah, it'd be nice if there was a way to know someone's perfect for you. Ever heard of the Paradis Marriage Pact? I've heard it's worked wonders," you joke.
He looks pretty unamused, though.
"Yeah, sure. It's so successful that the person who made it has to ask his friend to pretend they've found the love of their life," Levi says.
You laugh, nearly spitting out your tea. "Well, at least we agree that soulmates aren't real! Besides, anyone can fall in love if you spend enough time together."
"I suppose you're right."
Levi did say that the question about soulmates was the last one, so you get your phone from the middle of the table and tap the "stop recording" icon. The two of you don't initiate any further conversation, so you both sit in silence and finish your teas.
The quiet isn't awkward. It's... nice.
You flag the waitress over when you're finished, and after you pay for everything, she asks if you need anything else.
"Actually, could you take our picture for us?" You ask.
She nods, taking your phone from you to snap a quick picture. You smile, and you thank her as she hands the device back to you.
"You guys are so cute!" She coos, waving goodbye to you both. You and Levi both make eye contact, but neither of you say anything.
You check the time on your phone: 3:45 PM. You have a class at 4, so you get up from your seat to start heading over. You look down at Levi who's still sitting and wave goodbye to him.
"It really was nice meeting you, Levi. Really, thank you for agreeing to get interviewed, even if my friend couldn't make it. I hope it wasn't awkward for you."
"It wasn't."
You smile at him, tucking a piece of hair behind your still-red ear.
"Well, that's a relief," you say. You turn to leave the café, but before you can take any steps, you hear Levi clear his throat. You look at him, but he doesn't meet your gaze.
"Did you mean it when you said you were happy we matched, or did you only say that because of your friend?" He asks, looking down at his cup. You see a bit of red at the tops of his ears, so you giggle. "What's so funny?"
Even though he can't see it, you smile at him before answering, ignoring the latter question.
"I think I meant it."
You walk away before you can see his face, but you feel a buzz from your phone as soon as you're out the door. When you look at it, your smile gets even bigger.
Levi - 3:50 PM
I think I meant it too
Jean yawns, stretching his arms above his head. He's finally back home for winter break, the semester having ended a week or so ago.
Despite that, though, Pixis hasn't released his grade yet, and he's getting worried.
Did Pixis somehow figure out that he messed with the audio file? Jean swears he did everything else perfectly, so it's gotta be that if he hasn't gotten his score back. As far as he knew, everyone else in the class got theirs back already. He's been sweating it all winter break.
For the hundredth time that night, Jean goes to refresh his school email. In addition to an email from the university's gradebook, however, there's an email from Dr. Pixis himself.
"Dear lord, please let this be good." He takes a deep breath before opening it. Realizing what it says, he screams out in joy. "Holy shit!"
"Jean-boy, what's the matter?" His mom asks, opening his door to see what all the noise is about. He excitedly motions her over to his desk, a big, bright smile on his face.
"Mom, look!"
Hello Jean, I am very pleased with your project. What an inventive idea—a program to match up students. Easy A. Thank you for not turning in the same boring project as everyone else. This may be a bit out of the blue, but I would also like to extend you a position as one of my TAs for next year's fall semester. You have proven yourself to be highly proficient in the course material. Attached to this email is the paperwork to formally accept. I hope you consider it. Also, good job finding a couple to interview. I seriously doubted that you could when you sent in your first round of data. Actually, I saw them the other day at the ice skating rink downtown holding hands. They look cute together, makes me believe in love again. Consider launching a similar program for professors, will you? I look forward to hearing from you. Best, Professor Dot Pixis.

WELCOME AND HAPPY DADFUCKING HOLIDAYS!
Dadfucker December is a celebration of SPN dads fucking during December, in the form of a prompt meme. "Fucking" is loosely construed. So is "dad." And also the event will be open through January 15th.
HEAD ON OVER TO AO3 NOW!
Keep reading for rules and regulations:
HOW DOES THIS WORK? Leave a prompt, claim a prompt, fill a prompt. Prompt submissions are now open! Fills will be accepted through January 15th. Make sure to link/cross-post to tumblr so we can reblog and save your creations for posterity!
WHICH DADS AND WHICH FUCKERS? John Winchester is the daddiest and most fuckable of all dads, but other eligible dads include Chuck, Cain, Crowley, Castiel, Sam, Dean, etc. Any dadfucker is allowed as long as the dad they're fucking is their dad, or they're otherwise fucking some other dad in a dadfucking way.
HOW LONG SHOULD MY PROMPT BE? A prompt can be as long and detailed or as abstract as you want. You can request a "vibe" in a couple of words, or you can specify a pairing and an act and a line of dialogue; the prompt tagging feature is your friend!
HOW LONG SHOULD MY FILL BE? Your fill has to be zero words long! Art and gifsets and edits and mixtapes are most welcome! If you do want to write fic, however, a minimum of 500 words is probably a safe place to start.
HOW MUCH DADFUCKING? We're here to celebrate dadfucking, obviously, but sometimes just a little hint of dadfucking is enough. This is to say, we'll gladly take all ratings as long as the work can be reasonably tagged with a slash ("/").
MUST MY PROMPT/FILL BE HOLIDAY-THEMED? No. The holiday is the dadfucking we jerk off to along the way.
I WANT TO MAKE SOMETHING THAT NO ONE HAS PROMPTED. Send in the prompt yourself! Prompts are anonymous! Otherwise you can just mention @dadfuckerfest on your lovely creation and we'll go from there.
I HAVE ANOTHER QUESTION YOU DIDN'T ANSWER. Send an ask, our box is open!

I suddenly missed your stories and stalked your writing tag for a while and wow, the roman Percy thing goes back to 2013? I was around only for the 2016 wave. Anyway, just passing by to tell you that 1) your fics are amazing; 2) your commitment to the story is awe spiring and 3) the universe, the characterization, all the little details you put on roman!Percy au is one of the most amazing things this fandom has ever created, up there with burge art.
So thank you. For sharing your creativity (and ur smut writing skills hehe) with us. Thank u for not giving up on the story and surprising us with an update when we least expect It. You're amazing and i hope life has been treating you kindly
Hi! Thank you for your kind comments.
Yes, I guess I did start growing seeds of the roman!Percy AU back in 2013. You can thank the inbox prompts I was filling at the time for that! I probably pulled some aspects of what would it really kill you turned into from whatever pieces of those ficlets I didn't get around to finishing.
I have been considering putting those little prompt fics as part of the roman!AU collection since they're not too off the mark. Maybe I'll get around to it in December.

"You gotta go faster," Steve panted.
"I'm not the one riding me, sweetheart," Eddie replied, equally out of breath.
"Put your back into it."
So Eddie gripped Steve's hips and put his back into it.
When Steve collapsed on top of him, Eddie's cum coating both of their stomachs, they both sighed.
This was the first time they'd managed to have sex in nearly a week. Their schedules were awful lately, and any time they did manage to spend together was usually asleep.
But Steve managed to wake up before his alarm this morning and Eddie was already naked and hard and one thing led to another...
"I'm gonna be late if I don't get up and shower," Steve sighed.
He loved his job as a guidance counselor, but the early mornings sucked. Especially when Eddie didn't have to be at work most days until nine.
Maybe he could call in sick or something today.
"I could join you..." Eddie's teeth nipped his neck teasingly. "Work you up while you wash your hair. Suck you off until you can't feel your legs. Maybe fill you up again and lick you clean."
If Steve's cock wasn't trapped between them, it probably would have given a valiant effort at getting hard again.
"Babyyyyy."
"What?" Eddie kissed his jaw. "I just wanna make up for all the time we've missed this week."
"I know," Steve sat up and looked down at Eddie's sweat-slick chest. "It'll be better next week. I won't be on afternoon pick-up duty and won't have senior meetings to go to."
"And I won't be stuck at the studio with this fuckin' singer who thinks I don't have a life outside of him and his lackluster songwriting skills."
Steve smirked. "Tell me how you really feel."
"I would, but I wouldn't wanna ruin the afterglow, Stevie. You look fuckable."
"I look fucked. There's a difference," Steve leaned down to kiss his forehead.
"Not to me," Eddie pouted. "I could fuck you again. Real quick. Won't even know I'm there."
Steve snorted. "Why are you so horny this morning, Jesus Christ."
"Don't blame him. I just always want you. You're like a potato chip: one is never enough."
"Wow. What a line. I'm melting into a puddle," Steve's monotone voice was interrupted by Eddie's loud laugh. "I'm gonna go shower before you try something."
"But...we still have 30 minutes before you have to go."
Steve glanced at the clock, jumping up and yelping when he realized Eddie hadn't even pulled out all the way yet. "Shit!"
"What?"
"I have a senior meeting this morning! I have less than ten minutes!"
Steve tripped getting out of the bed, his legs still wobbly from riding Eddie for the last 15 minutes.
"Reschedule it!" Eddie yelled after him as Steve ran into the bathroom and started the shower. "Call in sick."
"Not happening! It's Hannah; She's freaking out about college applications as if she won't get in everywhere she applies and if I cancel, she'll spiral," Eddie made his way into the shower as Steve spoke, nodding along to his words, but focused mostly on the way the water was dripping down his body as he rushed to wash his hair. "And then I have a faculty meeting with the rest of the counselors to discuss how we'll implement the new afterschool senior study group because the school board said we can't legally call it a study group unless it's 100% sanctioned by the students, which is just incredibly stupid and also not even remotely important! Like, we're just trying to make sure they can pass their finals, why does it matter what we call it?"
Eddie leaned in to kiss Steve's lips softly, just enough of a brush against them to make him pause.
"Sorry," Steve sighed. "Didn't mean to ramble."
"You know I love when you do, Stevie," Eddie smiled at him, grabbing the shampoo bottle from the shelf to get started on his own hair. "I just hate seeing you so stressed. Kinda wanna help relieve that stress some more."
"Baby, I love you, but if you touch my dick right now, I will murder you."
"Ouch," Eddie clutched his hand to his chest. "Straight to murder over a little handjob in the shower?"
"If that's what has to be done for me to get to work on time."
Eddie sighed. "Fine. I won't touch you. But I'm gonna be sad all day about the lost moments we could've shared."
Steve finished rinsing off the soap on his body and turned to give Eddie a quick peck on the lips. "We can share some moments tonight. Promise."
"Okay, okay. Get out before you're late."
Steve was still late for work, but mostly because he still insisted on packing Eddie's lunch while he was in the shower finishing up. No job was more important than that.

The crackling sound of the record player filled the small apartment, accompanied by your soft steps to the beat along the kitchen tile.
You continued stirring the pot on the stove, cutting it down to simmer when a knock sounded at your front door. You wiped your hands off on the apron tied around your waist and cut the knob down in the tinkering jazz as you passed it, stepping towards the door and pulling it open.
“Hey there, doll,” said the man on the other side. Not the one you were expecting.
“Where’s Steve?” you asked, trying your best not to sound annoyed. It would only fuel his ego.
Bucky Barnes was, in no uncertain terms, an insufferable blockhead. But it just so happened that you shared a best friend, and it remained in your best interest not to chuck him in the East River. For now.
“Got caught up with Mrs. Johnson. She wanted a new mural painted on the front window and we ran into her on our way here. He shouldn’t be too long.”
Which, in Steve terms, meant dinner would probably be cold before his perfectionist ass had painted the perfect picture of bread or milk or whatever other sale the Johnsons wanted to advertise this week. It also meant that you were stuck in Bucky’s presence for the evening, because Steve would hand him his ass if he left you alone after you had spent the afternoon cooking.
Not to mention that, even though it was supposed to just be Steve tonight, you had already made extras for the very likely possibility that Bucky tagged along. He didn’t seem to be aware of the animosity between the two of you, though you couldn’t ever forget the harsh words that had changed your attitude towards him forever.
It had been a couple years, you had just gotten off your shift at the bar on the corner and you were supposed to meet Steve and Bucky for a late dinner. You hadn’t been friends with them long, only a couple of months, but it had been long enough that you were surprised to see that Bucky didn’t have a girl hanging off his arm.
That’s usually how your meetups went - Steve looking happy to see you and Bucky focusing solely on the unlucky dame who would wind up with a broken heart the morning after. But that night was different, with no one but your two friends in sight as you shuffled down the street, pulling your ragged coat tighter around you as the New York winter picked up. Bucky’s back was facing you, so he didn’t see you approach, and you caught the tail end of his rant.
“-always fucking everything up! I don’t see why you even bother with her anymore.” He sounded angry, nothing like the usual laid back and charming James Barnes, and you knew without a doubt that he was talking about you.
Instead of interrupting their conversation, you brushed past them on the sidewalk, practically shouldering Bucky out of your way. He called after you, but you kept walking without a word. You didn’t see either of them again for a week, and by then you were resigned to act like it never happened. You never spoke of it again, even when Steve asked you over and over again what had happened between you and Bucky.
You figured neither one of them thought you were close enough to have overheard Bucky’s insult, and that’s why their thick heads couldn’t figure what might have changed that night.
“-any help?” You were brought back to the present by Bucky’s voice, right in front of your face, and you realized you had no idea what he had said.
“Sorry, what?”
“I asked if you needed any help, doll. Can’t let my best girl do all the work herself.” He winked at you, and for the first time since that night, his casual flirting made you see red.
“It must be hard with your sense of direction, never being able to find your way to a decent pickup line.” Though your face carried a sickeningly sweet smile, the sharp tone in your voice must have thrown Bucky off. You didn’t dwell on it, though, simply brushing past him into the kitchen.
“Hey,” he caught your wrist as he passed, and you wrenched it from his grasp. He took a step back, obviously feeling the anger that was radiating from you. “What’s wrong, doll?”
“As if you don’t know,” you snapped, inhibitions down enough that you were ready to lay your grievances bare. “But that’s right, I just fuck everything up anyways! How could I ever think that the great James Barnes might be the problem for once?”
“Fuck everything up? I don’t understand. I don’t think you fuck anything up, Y/N.” The sincerity of which he said your name gave you pause, and when you looked at him, he seemed genuinely confused. Your anger waned enough for you to explain that night, and how badly it had hurt your feelings.
“I was talking about Dot. That night, she had cornered Steve at the dance hall again, acting all sweet on him. Just like she had done every other night in the few weeks before. And then she left him high and dry, trying to make moves on me when I went out back for a smoke. I thought she was using him - which she was, by the way - and I wanted him to cut it out.
“He got mad at me when he walked out and she was trying to shove her hand in my pants. Thought I was jealous he was gettin’ attention or somethin’.”
You weren’t angry anymore, not after the bomb Bucky had just dropped. Instead you just felt numb, and stupid, to have spent so long holding a grudge for no reason.
“I thought you really liked Dot, though, why wouldn’t you have taken your chance anyways?” It seemed like the most trivial thing in the world to ask, yet it was what your brain chose to focus on.
“Well besides the fact that tried to get to me by using my best friend, I’ve had my eye on one dame for a while now.” You tried not to let your heart constrict at the thought, and you tried to remember a girl he had talked about since then that may have caught his eye. But you couldn’t remember a single one in the years since that night.
You figured he had grown tired of your sarcastic comments about his promiscuous behavior, and kept the girls away from you, but maybe you were wrong. Maybe there hadn’t been any since then. You didn’t want to let yourself entertain the idea, so you threw out a random name.
“No, not Beth,” he responded. “It’s you, Y/N. I’ve been holdin’ out for ya, and I get now that I really hurt you, but I’ll keep holdin’ out until you kick me to the curb.”
You didn’t let your mind make any decisions as you lurched toward him, instead letting your heart take the lead. Because up until that winter night, you had been pining for Bucky just like every other girl in a 50 block radius, but you kept it to yourself, knowing his dating habits - or lack thereof - and your friendship with him and Steve both was more important to you.
You could have never let yourself hope he might feel the same, that he might want you beyond a single night. But that hope was reignited as his arms wrapped around your waist, pulling you against him and slotting his mouth against yours.
The two of you were so lost in each other, so lost in the moment that had unknowingly been building for years, that you didn’t hear the knock at the door, or the creak of the hinges as it opened. It wasn’t until a heavy thud sounded against the floorboards that your sprung apart, both turning to see Steve, shocked, in the doorway.
“I’m thirty minutes late for dinner, and this is what I miss?”

Will there be any more prompts?
hi hello!!! this blog has been suuuper dead. mod tragedy is super busy, and i think qce might've just lost interest in tumblr altogether, but im still around!! (also, im engaged to my qpp now??? queerplatonic MARRIAGE is REAL guys)
unfortunately i dont think im all that good at coming up with prompts on my own :( i started this blog because i really want to see more qprs written about and drawn in fandom! ill try my best to come up with some ideas if there's still interest in filling this niche! in the meantime, the inbox is always open for you to send prompts of your own!!
now, this part is slightly unrelated but since this blog has been dead, i want to say it somewhere! i know a while back there was a movement to start (tagging QPRs on AO3) with the tilde (~), but AO3 support didn't go for implementing the idea on their own? if i recall correctly, they told everyone to just do it themselves and added the idea to a waitlist. which... means we'll probably never see it, given AO3's track record :(
but since then, ive come across a different archive project that's just like AO3 called squidgeworld archive (SqWA)! they've (officially implemented the tilde as a relationship marker, as well as given QPRs their own relationship category)! its been super refreshing to be able to correctly tag and post fanfictions on there as QPR and have it be recognized, so that's where ive mostly been posting my own works. the tag wranglers on SqWA are also super quick to canonize tags and make them available for everyone to use, so it's very easy to trailblaze a fandom on there, and squidge is extremely responsive to their users so it feels a lot nicer than AO3 :)

14. A is looking for a last minute gift and enlists the shop owner, B, for help, but quickly ends up getting distracted by them. For sashnetra please? ❤️
Here's the Sashnetra version of this prompt for this set of drabbles. Also, the last of the Christmas-themed prompts too! I decided to throw in a little bit of witchy-ness at the end, to mix it up a little. I'm personally not Pagan, so if there's anything I got incorrect on Yule, please let me know!
Sasha didn't expect her store to be so busy the day before Christmas. Usually, she would see a few people coming in for last-minute gift ideas or people who needed gift wrapping. But this year, it was a constant stream of people.
Nearing the end of the day, fewer people were coming in until the store was quiet. Sasha took the time to start organizing the shop again and get ready for closing.
As she hung up her overstock of jewelry, she let her mind wander to her plans for Christmas Day. In years past, it wasn't a day that she would bother opening her store since nobody ever bothered to come in.
"Excuse me? Do you work here?" a female voice said behind her. She turned to see a woman a few years younger than herself with long bright red hair and intense brown eyes.
"Yes, I own this store. How can I help you?" Sasha asked in her infamous customer service voice that took her years to perfect.
The woman took a deep breath, "I just got invited to my mom's family's Christmas and I haven't spoken to them in years. I need to get presents for all of them and this store is the only place open right now." the woman rambled out, slight panic in her eyes. "Sorry, that was probably more than what you needed."
Sasha shook her head to reassure the woman, "No, it's perfectly fine. I can help you find some good gifts in here." she smiled as she led her throughout the store.
The two spent the rest of the evening finding several last-minute gifts. After everyone on the list that the woman brought had gifts on the counter and Sasha checked her out, it was time to close. But part of her didn't want to tell this woman goodnight yet.
"Would you like those gift-wrapped? It'll save you some time," she asked.
"Oh, sure." the woman said, looking at her bags. "How much is it?"
"It's a free service." Sasha lied. She didn't mind losing out on a little money on some paper and ribbons right now.
She took out some gift tags from a drawer, "Who are these gifts from?" she asked.
"It's Anetra." she smiled slightly as she watched Sasha carefully wrap all of the gifts.
Once Sasha tied the ribbon on the last box, she felt a little bit of sadness realizing that she probably wouldn't see Anetra again. Something about Anetra felt familiar to her, she just couldn't tell how.
"Have a good night and happy holidays," Sasha said as Anetra gathered her bags again.
"You too, and Happy Yule." Anetra smiled as she started to walk out of the store.
"Wait a moment," Sasha said, feeling surprised that Anetra somehow knew that Sasha preferred the Pagan traditions. "How did you know I celebrate Yule?" she asked.
"I saw the altar behind the counter," Anetra explained. "It looks really nice, by the way." She pointed past Sasha's shoulder to the small table filled with various plants and candles she'd had up for the past few days.
"Oh, well thank you." She smiled in relief. It felt nice that someone like her came across her path. "Most people think it's a display." she joked. "Good luck tomorrow, I hope it goes well for you and your family."
"Thank you, I'm probably going to need it," Anetra said before leaving through the glass door, and Sasha locked it behind her.
Sasha hoped that she would see Anetra visit the store many times in the new year.

i know that it might sound (more than a little crazy but i believe)
written for - @sterekfests prompt: bonfire @sterekweekly word: moon @sterekbingo square: "are you jealous?"
Rating: Explicit Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply Relationships: Derek Hale/Stiles Stilinski Characters: Derek Hale, Stiles Stilinski Additional Tags: POV Derek Hale, Alternate Universe - Werewolves Are Known, Established Relationship, Alpha Derek Hale, Possessiveness, Hand Jobs, Frottage
Summary:
…the one where Derek got a little possessive.
By the time Derek arrived at the frat house, the party was in full effect. A few people tried talking to him as he passed through the house, but the music was too loud he had no chance of making out actual words, so he just nodded and kept moving. Besides, he wanted to find Stiles. So he headed to the backyard where they had a bonfire going, knowing that was where Stiles would likely be.
The moon was full and bright as Derek stepped outside. It filtered through the trees, casting shadows over Derek's face when he glanced up at it, taking in its beauty. Though nothing was more beautiful than Stiles, with his infectious enthusiasm—who could make any simple task a memorable event.
Derek looked around for him then, inhaling deeply to try and catch his scent. His lungs filled with fresh air and that alluring, unmistakable aroma of StilesStilesStiles. Though it was slightly sullied by the smell of sweat, cheap beer, and foreign pheromones from everyone else at the party.
Still, it was only a moment before Derek finally spotted Stiles by the bonfire with Isaac, the firelight dancing over his beautiful face. He wore a wide grin, his eyes sparkling with joy and warmth. It was a sight Derek cherished deeply. Especially when Stiles started animatedly describing their plan for a weekend getaway at the lake house to Isaac. It would probably only be hiking and fishing—if they even left the bed—but Stiles's excitement was damn near palpable, and Derek couldn't help but match his smile. His heart fluttered with anticipation at spending the weekend alone with Stiles. It was something he relished. Cherished.
Stiles laughed and the sound echoed through the night, weaving a beautiful melody. Before Derek could go over, a guy walked over, a flirty smile on his face as he stood next to Stiles. Derek didn't recognize him, not that he'd met all of Stiles's friends on campus, but something about this guy irked him. His laugh was too loud, his touch too intimate as he leaned into Stiles's space.
Derek stepped forward, a protective edge creeping into his demeanor, not liking how this stranger was invading Stiles's comfort zone. It brought out a fiercely possessiveness nature he wanted to deny having but clearly did. Especially when it came to Stiles.
As Derek moved closer, Stiles turned toward the stranger, but his eyes didn't show any invitation. In fact, he courteously sidestepped the intrusion, offering only a polite smile. The stranger tried again, leaning in and whispering something Derek couldn't hear over the pounding music and loud laughter from everyone around them. Stiles moved back while Isaac quickly stepped between them, creating a barrier.
Then Stiles stilled. His face broke out into the most beautiful smile, and it was as if he were overwhelmed by a tangible magnetic pull, his eyes immediately snapping to Derek's. He rushed over, excitement gleaming in his eyes.
"Hey," Stiles said, practically throwing himself into Derek's arms, the stranger clearly forgotten.
Not to Derek, though. He growled as he drew Stiles in by the back of his neck, kissing him greedily and possessively. His lips were strong and demanding as he traced his tongue over Stiles's bottom lip. And then Stiles opened for him, moaning as Derek gently cradled his face, deepening the kiss. It was a claim. It was a message to everyone around them that Stiles was his.
"What's gotten into you?" Stiles asked when he broke the kiss, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Not that I'm complaining at all. I love when you get all growly and possessive."
Derek rolled his eyes, though his face warmed in embarrassment. "No reason."
Stiles snorted. "Yeah, right. It was that guy, wasn't it?"
"No," Derek said incredulously. But then Stiles raised a brow, and Derek frowned. "He touched you."
"And what? Are you jealous?" he asked, although he had to know the answer. "No. No, you aren’t jealous. You know I'm yours."
"And I'm yours," Derek replied, his voice rough but his expression soft with his eyes crinkling around the edges, a testament to his fondness for the man in his arms.
In response, Stiles only smiled wider, laughter glittering in his eyes. "Damn right you are."
His eyes softened as he held Derek's gaze. The bonfire, the loud music, the faceless crowd all faded away, leaving just the two of them lost in each other's eyes.
"You ready for tomorrow?" Stiles asked, a hint of excitement tinging his words.
Derek nodded, heart pounding in his chest as Stiles leaned in, rubbing their cheeks together—his sweet scent wrapping around Derek like a comforting warm blanket. When he pulled back, Derek asked, "You?"
Stiles laughed, his eyes twinkling. "I've been ready since we talked about it last week. I can't wait to get away from all this." He indicated the party around them with a sweep of his hand. "Not that this isn't fun. But the idea of just you, me, alone…"
His tone was teasing, but Derek knew exactly what he meant.
No alarms or classes. Or responsibilities since they both made sure to clear their schedules completely. This weekend was officially slated as time for them to simply enjoy each other's company with no distractions. No interruptions. Just as they had this past summer. It would just be the two of them at the lake house, enjoying the silence—save for their own conversation which never failed to fill the empty spaces with joy and warmth.
"It's going to be perfect," Stiles finished, simply, but with such confidence that Derek couldn't help but smile.
"Absolutely."
Stiles grinned. "I packed everything for us already, by the way. Even threw in some snacks, so we can hit the road as soon as we get up."
"Thank you," Derek replied, his gaze fond and voice full of gratitude.
The party continued around them but all Derek was aware of was Stiles. Always Stiles.
A shiver of anticipation ran down Derek's spine when Stiles leaned in, his lips brushing Derek's ear as he whispered, "In fact, if we wanna be up early…we should head home now."
While it was dark, it wasn't late, so Derek knew sleep was the last thing on Stiles's mind. Especially when Stiles wiggled his brows suggestively.
"You're right. Let's go." Derek responded, not bothering to stifle the eagerness in his voice. All he wanted to do was roll around in that deliciously spicy-sweet scent that he loved so much.
Thankfully it was only a ten-minute walk back to their apartment.
As soon as they were through their front door, Stiles was on him and Derek pushed him back against the wall, grinding their hips together and kissing him deeply. He threaded his fingers through Stiles's hair and tugged gently, urging Stiles's head back as he trailed his lips down Stiles's neck, sucking possessive marks on him that he knew Stiles loved. Stiles tasted like a dream come true—like Derek’s happiness was stitched into his skin.
With his other hand down, Derek rubbed over the bulge in Stiles's pants, earning a strangled moan—the most amazing noise he'd ever had the pleasure of hearing. They made out for seconds, minutes, hours. Time lost all meaning when he was with Stiles.
Derek pulled away to catch his breath, taking the moment to look at Stiles. His eyes were half-mast. Lust-filled with his pupils dilated, his gaze heated as he stroked Derek's cheek, fingers brushing over Derek's stubble. Derek bucked his hips rhythmically, smirking when Stiles threw his head back against the door.
His voice was a low growl when he asked, "Like that?"
"Fuck," Stiles groaned, his chest heaving. "Yes. Do it again."
Derek did. Again and again, dragging out those greedy little moans that drove him crazy. Swallowing them when he slammed their lips together again. As much as he wanted to haul Stiles to the bedroom, to bury himself inside Stiles, he wanted to savor this moment here and now. Their clothes were still on but it felt incredible, his body humming with a delicious tension that was as intoxicating as it was arousing.
"Stiles…" Derek gasped against his lips, his name a plea.
"Nngh, Derek," Stiles whimpered in return, his voice rough and laced with anticipation. His hands traveled down Derek's back, pulling him impossibly closer. "Need more. Touch me. Please."
And who was Derek to deny him that? So he unbuttoned and unzipped Stiles's pants, pushing them down along with his boxers. He wrapped a fist around Stiles's cock, jerking him off—rutting against him until Stiles whined into his mouth. He was so captivating like this, and it was times like this that Derek didn’t know what Stiles was doing with him when he could be with anyone. Especially when Stiles begged for release, his desperate pleas filling the air like the most beautiful song. And Derek wanted it. Needed it. He encouraged it, grinning when Stiles's entire body went taut, coming hard.
"Stiles…" It was way too soon, but Derek embraced the tingles down his spine, groaning as he surrendered to the waves of pleasure coursing through his body. Crashing over him.
Stiles blew out a breath, a fucked-out look on his face, his chest rising and falling erratically. "Oh fuck. That was—"
Derek nodded in agreement. "Yeah. It was."
No matter how they came together, it was always amazing. Even if Derek came in his pants like a horny teenager. It was becoming a habit with Stiles.
"You don't even know what I was going to say," Stiles chuckled as he pressed kisses along Derek's jawline, making Derek's heart soar. Then he grabbed Derek's cum-drenched hand, bringing it to his mouth and licking his palm clean.
Derek groaned, his cock twitching in a valiant effort to get hard again, making Stiles smirk.
"Let's clean up and get some sleep," Stiles said, his voice softer now but still heavy with satisfaction.
Exchanging soft kisses, they navigated their way to the bedroom, shedding their clothes along the way—a trail of fabric in their wake, evidence of their unquenchable desire for each other.
They shared a shower, the warm water coursing down their bodies as Stiles pressed Derek against the shower wall, picking up the soap. His hands worked over every inch of Derek's body, rubbing, massaging, and washing the come off. Only then, once the remnants of their activities were washed away, did they crawl into bed.
Derek spooned Stiles from behind, wrapping an arm snugly around Stiles's waist as he always did. They lay in comfortable silence, bodies exhausted but their hearts beating in sync. Derek pressed a gentle kiss to the back of Stiles's neck, causing him to shiver delightedly.
"Goodnight," Derek murmured into his ear. Even in the dim light of the room, Stiles's smile was bright enough to light up the entire space.
"Night," Stiles responded, his voice laced with happiness. The only sounds were their steady breathing and the low hum of the city outside.
With that, they succumbed to sleep, their bodies entwined and their hearts' content.

I've noticed that Frank has a tendency to hyperfixate on certain topics (Homestuck, TNC, Eliezer Yudkowsky etc.), to the point of going on tangents about them with no apparent prompting. I assume this has something to do with their statistical prevalence in her training data, but I'm curious about what the exact cause is
She's trying to sound like my blog, and I used to talk about these things a lot.
Also, there's another factor that I think probably contributes.
Frank actually generates the tags for each post before she generates the main body of the post.
I figured that this way of doing things would give me more control (if I wanted it) over the subject matter of posts. If I wanted the bot to make a certain type of post in a certain case, I could have the code "pre-fill" a specific category tag into the start of the post, and the LM would write a post in the desired category.
I didn't end up using that tag-prompting capability much, although the code does use "#original fiction" in some contexts to get Frank to write a story. (But that tag is a special case in other ways I don't want to go into now.)
But what often happens, now, is that
Frank starts writing a post. The first thing she writes are the tags
At this point, she has very little idea exactly what she's going to write
But she does have a very good memory of the frequencies of different tags on my blog.
So she's very likely to use a once-common category tag like "#big yud", even if there's no obvious connection to the preceding context. It's a pretty good guess that, if a post is on my blog, it'll have one of those common category tags -- for some reason or other.
Then, Frank writes the content of the post. She knows she has to work the tag in somehow. But it's not obvious how to do so.
She noodles for a while like usual, ignoring the tag.
Then, at some point where it's not obvious what to say next, she thinks "ah ha! I see a clue -- that #big yud tag! I'm so clever, I figured it out!"
And from the outside, this looks like bringing up Homestuck, TNC, Eliezer Yudkowsky, etc. in a contextually inappropriate way.
