Keeper -- a short comic about an angel meeting a robotic lighthouse keeper that doesn't know the world has already ended. Made in about 18 hours for a 24-hour 24-page* black and white comic challenge (that I arrived late to, ha.)

*the actual submission does not include the cover, which was created after the fact for this post.

This was a really great learning experience as someone who's... never really made a completed comic. I ended up really attached to the story by the end of the project (possibly due to all-nighter deliriousness lol) and ultimately am very proud of what I made.There are some things I'd still like to change, particularly text placement, but in keeping with the spirit of the challenge I've elected to leave it as is.

Everyone was talking about how magenta isn’t real and our brains made it up, but can you imagine how COOL that would be if we encountered aliens who can’t see magenta? And THEY are confused because we keep talking about some mystery color???

Human: (points) That’s magenta.

Alien: Ah, see, we call that chauveltine.

Human: (points at another) And that’s a kind of dark magenta.

Alien: That’s… that jgorgilo… it’s a completely different color—

Human: And THAT one is HOT magenta—

Alien: ???????

Or EVEN BETTER, we humans are able to identify the aliens immediately because they can’t quite get their disguises right, they get something red a LITTLE off and the humans are like, “Oh hey another one, you’re looking very magenta today,” and the alien scientists are just BAFFLED

qsmp goes on a whole jail arc through most of February, jaiden gets back from tour and her character crawls her way back from purgatory nearly 3 months later, realizes that literally the majority of the island is in prison, and decides "yeah i'm still super mentally unstable time to break out the lawyer suit" and singlehandedly prepares a case for everyone incarcerated and gets them out lmfao

i think the bea skin + sandy and gene make campaigns are just Really bad timing (these things are planned months in advance and im sure no one accounted for Everyone hating frank due to his zionism) and i still think the best option is to drop brawl stars and other supercell games for good. BUT.

it would be hilarious if the make campaign was flooded with palestine flags and symbols for both gene and sandy. if there were so many sandies wearing a keffiyeh and genes themed around the palestine sunbird that the team has to flounder and cherry-pick like the 5 non-palestine skins in total and pretend they just really really liked those the most. I need to see them struggle as much as the us military streaming lets plays on twitch getting asked about their numerous war crimes.
