#If there's one thing i can be proud of #it's that my fellow citizens my country has been helping from the start #we've accepted largest amount of ukrainian refugees per capita #there's about half a milion of them here #and while there are problems with getting them qualified jobs #overall and especially in my city we have accepted our ukrainian brothers and sisters #and they are integrating into our system #our ngo People in Need is massively helping on the ground #and we are still raising money for drones and medication as well as water and food #yes the support is getting lower #but i have never expected czechs to be so supportive and for so long #so i am proud of us #and i am proud of every ukrainian citizen who is trying to help and survive

I did a vine theme for pumpkin carving this year. A pumpkin pumpkin and a rose pumpkin.

I'd made a poll asking whether to do vines or draw Dan and Valerie from Danny Phantom, or both. ...And although 'vines' won, the idea of adding something Dan and Val related was too compelling. The thought of deep red roses with their thorns being like Valerie. ...And, well, I suppose Dan's like a big heavy pumpkin being thrown at stuff?

I tried making the plants wrap around an object representing them, Dan in a D shape and Valerie in a triangle shape. Though it's not very noticeable.

I changed methods a little for it.#oops. I got the trigger for Valerie's multi-weapon wrong. I should've checked.#(the weapon was once misidentified as her Ecto-Grenade Launcher; but that's actually a different weapon.)#I also thought the way pumpkin flowers are oddly brighter in the center might give a ghostly look. Though I hadn't carved them very well.#I would've gone about it differently if that had been the second pumpkin. I'm always too nervous during my first pumpkins.#These are the largest pie pumpkins I've bought so far. They're a little bigger than two years ago and a lot bigger than last year.#They're 25 and 24 inches in circumference.#...It took a day and a half to carve each one.#The 1st pumpkin I scraped out the vines. But for the 2nd one I did a vector technique on the vines and leaves where I drew outlines & dug.#...I still think pumpkins aren't really vines but it's simpler to say that as a shorthand for 'climbing plant'.#I might add some alternate views in a reblog later.

Hmm Had a Zine idea last night that would involve only curatorial work from me (with... maybe some minimal illustration) where I go through all my old art and files and compile like.. a Tome of Lost Stories that describes and summarizes all the comics and story ideas and characters I've had over the years cause there's a Lot, and it would feel nice, I think, to give them more of a proper send off than the sort of weird decent into obscurity they all kinda Got. Depending on the scope of the project and the available material I have in my Files I would write out a brief description of the plot and list the characters and maybe some of my thoughts Now on the project along side the original sketches and illustrations, and maybe for the bigger projects that I Feel Some Kinda Feeling About I'd draw something new, like a cover or a poster type thing... I don't know if anyone but me would be interested in seeing that compiled at All, but i think it would make me feel Good and would be Largely Achievable, as a Concept....

Hefty Volume #probably several smaller stapled-together Zine's sewn into one volume..#I've had a lot of ideas!#and then there's the question of how far back I go...#I Have material going back basically all the way to like 6th-8th grade (and some even earlier)#(although at some point a Huge number of my sketchbooks and old art just went Missing and I'm still upset about that)#but my most interesting and largest wealth of stuff is from roughly like.. 2009-2015/6 give or take...#(there's some stuff from beyond 2016 that would probably make it in the book but for the most part 2016-2021 is a Dead Zone #Where I did Very Little)#so landing on exactly where to cut it off might be difficult #and also whether to go in ascending or descending chronological order...#hmhmhm #many questions

It seems to be where their prey is also trending on the larger size or they have more competition with other predators. There are still new hybrids popping up from time to time where Eastern wolves and coyotes share a range but it seems a though the upward trend in size has more to do with them either "replacing" wolves in some areas (Eastern coyotes) or are in direct competition with wolves (Northwestern coyotes).

#ask #the largest ones I've seen personally have all been Eastern yotes with some recent wolf lineage #but that can still be several generations removed #Northwestern ones can also just be huge asf tho and have no hybridization but that's just how that subspecies rolls #some Northeastern ones (C. l. thamnos) have also just been BIG like maybe 45lbs or so #I'd consider any yote over 40lbs pretty large but some have been recorded up up 65lbs in the NE

ok because i’m on the train and i just bought some what do you think the best post apocalyptic rugelach filling would be. (if you don’t know what rugelach is, click that wikipedia link, or the truncated version is it’s a filled small pastry originally from jewish communities in poland but now it’s made all over the world and people put all sorts of fillings in them. the filling can be jam, nuts with spices, flavored pastry cream, or even savory fillings. the kind i just bought are chocolate, in case you’re wondering.)

She's a JOURNALIST.

I'm a writer myself, guys. I've written on the Hayes code, on PTSD and masculinity, on fatphobia and classism and the infrastructure of America, yknow, activism shit. I've done it for grades, for my own platforms, and I've gotten offers and opportunities to do it for work.

When you are writing about stuff like this, you have a responsibility. You cannot write about sensitive topics without grace. In Fallout 4's narrative, Synths are a direct allegory for enslaved black people. There's literally a Railroad. GLORY IS A STAND IN FOR HARRIET FUCKING TUBMAN.

So, Piper is enflaming the racism, the witchhunting, she's making it worse for everyone involved. And she wants to keep doing it until she gets her way. It's so fucking irresponsible. Going along with the slave allegory, Piper is accusing the mayor of being of African American descent, and therefore unfit to lead the 'normal people'. "Jesus, Rory! Thats a fucked up thing to say!"
