I am watching the ladybug movie coz I found out there's alot more fun reaction to finding out the chat noir thing so I gotta watch it
Uuuuuuuummmmmmmmmm
So
I like that Marionette is alot more clumsy
However I really don't like that it's like everyone hates marionette. I think it'd be better if like everyone treats her dumb or something
Plus it's so awkward having marionette so shy? Bella from twilight vibes from her right now!
I don't really get why she's not standing up to Chloe and then going "I should move cities that was so cringe"
Adrian is giving weird vibes
Um
And
I just got to the bit where he's holding a photo of himself, Adrian and Emilie and holy shit agrestes looks ugly in that Sabrina looking hair.
Gloomy Adrian like that specifically is so unnerving
Idk if they need the singing
Love the little turtle man, I miss him even if he's happier now
The rings choosing people is alot more interesting than fu stalking middle schoolers
I was going to lose it if he looked like that like damn give us our silly little cat guy
Plagg choosing Adrian because deep down he's goofy and he's rich so he'll buy him lots of cheese is the energy
Also damn couldn't imagine putting earring son that I found
Tikki isn't the vibe right now
Give us previous ladybugs you cowards!!!!!!!
Ewwww "pull yourself up by your boot straps" tikki
The yoyo going off in its own is so boring cliche
XD chat noir is great
They made chat noir fucking not fun
Why did they make chat noir a mildly sillier Felix??
Cat noir (movie chat noir) says side kick one more time I swear
So the yoyo was made with a toy in mind right?
"a she-ro!" Fuck me we really going to do the "Alya is so silly she's a feminist" energy?
The gargoyle in the breedable position /j /lh
CARELESS WHISPER????? THEY CARELESS WHISPER US?????????
Some bullshit
"watermelon! Insane!"
"guess I've been" depressed? "Looking for a purpose" I mean
He genuinely sounds clinically depressed
Plagg was made for children in the worst way possible
Fair Marionette
Tikki was weird
Jesus Christ marionette
"post trauma first Akuma attack" recognising. The trauma they'd experience and then immediately making fun of it
Gimp suit hawk moth dancing through Paris is so camp
This some cheese
So the magician girl is a Harley Quinn rip off?
What the fuck is the bullshit of her dad watching
I liked the balloon dogs
The mime is giving himbo energy even if he's a villain
The singing really wasn't needed for this movie
Wait why is she being brave I thought it would be because of Alya why is it just she got a concussion???
Did I miss a bit?
Just a child surrounded by balloons dogs is do fucking funny
This shit dumb they were already strong???
I would have liked it if chat noir had fallen for ladybug during the montage rather than falling in love with her at the start
The money I would pay for ladybug to go "cute kitten" and chat noir to go " 👉👈🥺 Me? You think I'm cute?"
"the adults are having a conversation, your hair looks like a rat nest" fuuuucck get her Marionette
Oh fuck that Cat noir, acting like you kidnapped that some bullshit
Awwee he's asking her to the ball ):
And she's going to say no coz she wants to go with Adrien
Chat noir really is Ken
OMG CHAT NOIR IS KEN
No he's going to play the piano and I'm going to be sad and awkward
Chat noir really is that emotionally dependent boyfriend that plays an instrument for 4 hours to his gf
You're telling me ladybug doesn't have romantic feelings for cat noir? Bill shit girl really
If you're doing a one off movies do fun bullshit, like the chat blanc episode. Like I mean if Adriens dad is going to find out you might as well make it different
Oh please kizs and fall and in love
NO BULLSHIT WHAT DO YOU MEAN SOMEBODY ELSES HE DONT EVEN KNOW YOU
This so dumb
Ladybug a fucking fool
Like before it's fsir
This one is dumb
WHY DID PLAG IMMEDIATELY DO A FART JOKE??? WHAT BULLSHIT?
Gabriel looking like a dilf all messed up looking /hj /lh
Girl trying to convince herself
He's so depressed holy shit
Adrien so emo I love that for him
Give me marichat content please
Please tell me people are making memes of hawkmoth? He doing so goofy stuff this movie
REALLY ADRIEN
What the fuck
ARE YOU FUCKING WITH ME
Dead ass they made chat noir Marionette from the series
They made chat noir into an incel and now he's almost going to die for it
"butterflies seething" a vibe
Holy shit he turned the water into manga that's fucking impressive
Oh shit we find out she Marionette
Ladybug dead ass be acting like Spiderman
Oh god he's about to find out he's cut his son that gonna be fun
How she jump that high???
Yaaayyyed he found it!!! I finally found the bit I was waiting for
Oh fuck that's so sad
Okay long hair is okay in the storybook style
Gabriel looks fine af
Awwwwwweeee T-T
Kind of amazing
Kind of love it
Why is Emilie so big???????
Oh shit so she knows who cat noir is
"peace has been restored" you say as all their houses are crumbled
Oh my god Lukas right there
Thats such a tease
Give me the chat to Adriens virgin /j /lh
Please tell me Adrian and marienette know and go together
Tell me that Gabriel is in jail
"marienette! I hope you have a good break! Because next year! Bullying is back on!"
Different note, I wouldve loved if Marienette had dressed in traditional Chinese clothing. I don't know much but I assume they would have had a lovely flower layered dress and I think that would have been cute
Like I love marienettes dress but you know
Yesssss
He's realising
Her putting on the mask and him crying xD
Fucking knew it, give us a kiss you cowards
Why is there a Nathalie secret scene
They could have cut out the whole weird Emilie being there and nothing would have changed but they did it anyways
I
You know I watchrd this
I don't deny that it caught my attention and all that stuff but also goddamn that was a messy movie with a nice looking animation
Goddamn that was a messy movie
Just yeah damn messy, I mean enjoyable relatively but like messy idk
I liked that it hit some of the emotional beats harder, like damn finally Gabrielle finding out um but idk of was aight

We all kinda guessed that Plagg had bad Chat Noir some times in history but do we think Tikki got bad Ladybugs ?
And what would that look like to have Tikki in the hand of someone that is just awful I history ?
I think it's possible that Tikki got bad ladybugs, I don't see why not, though I would suppose that if someone was after a miraculous to do bad things, they'd first think of getting the black cat.
The thing is, lucky charm works in a very funny way and it's kinda mysterious. But the few akuma / villain we've seen having power similar to Ladybug often got a dangerous weapon (mostly the big knife we often see them having). So I'd say, if one wanted to do evil using the ladybug miraculous, well... what are the limits of creation, really? Just like the butterfly can be used for evil, I suppose that someone with evil intents would get a lucky charm able to fulfill these purposes. We already saw what an unhinged Tikki could do with her powers, so an unhinged villain with the ladybug could very much cause terrible things. Same, when Ladybug creates the magical charm, one of the thing she learns is that the only limits to creation are the ones she fixes to herself: from then you can imagine that pretty much anything could be created I suppose.
Also let's say other miraculous are used to try to stop the ladybug one, since the ladybug miraculous can fix whatever damage caused by magic, it could easily force its opponents to start all over again every time

What’s the Best Miraculous Fanfic you’ve read? If you can’t narrow it down to one can you narrow it down to a couple? Like fanfics you still go back and read.
So starting off is a one-shot of the single funniest reveal I've ever seen.
Why Marinette Needs A Lock On Her Door by Ricardian Scholar Clark-Weasley: Alya and Nino walk into on the blindfolded Marichat trope and immediately assume the worst. Adrien and Marinette's attempt to explain only make things worse and Plagg is absolutely no help whatsoever. Neither is Tikki really.
Seriously, I busted a gut reading this one. Adrien and Marinette are both fumbling for believable excuses and coming up empty.
Won't Tell A Soul and its sequel, The Weight of Jade, by @thelastpilot sold me on the Guardian!Nino idea:Nino accidentally runs head long into the biggest most stressful secret he can imagine, but now that he knows the truth about Marinette he is determined to help her in any way he can.
Chapters 8 and 9 I've reread REPEATEDLY. Nino's shipping Ladrien and trying to make sure Chat doesn't interfere, and Chat's just touched his friend thinks so highly of him as Adrien. Also Nino freaking out when he learns the full extent of the Lovesquare is PERFECT.
Scarlet Fever by @chronicallylatetotheparty :Papillon Écarlate has managed the impossible. He's akumatized Marinette. Now with an army of supervillains and no Ladybug to stop him victory seems inevitable. Unless Adrien can stop him. But will he be enough when his own mentor doubts him?
It's an AWESOME fic, particularly for its action sequences, something most Miraculous fics aren't great with. Also just a lot of Adrien being badass, while still being himself.
Gabriel's Big Mistake by LilacEnthusiast and Mr_BlackCat: Gabriel makes a bad decision, and it backfires horribly. Shenanigans ensue.
It's not very well-known, unfortunately, but it's funny and serious at the same time. Gabriel performs a ceremony to try and obtain more power, but accidentally ends up turning himself into a butterfly, discovering that butterflies can't write very well, getting his wings shredded by a bird, and subsequently becoming Nino's pet butterfly, Subwoofer, who he brings to akuma support meetings and who Marinette knits tiny hats for.
Ghost of You by its_just_iori is my favorite sadfic: It finally happened. The akuma attacked at the wrong time. They weren't prepared. For the first time, there was a casualty. Someone was killed. Marinette doesn't care that her identity was exposed to the world; she can't stop blaming herself for what happened. If only she'd been ready... if only she'd done more... There's nothing for Adrien to say. There's nothing he can do other than stay by her side and help her through this pain.
It's not very long - under 2000 words - but it's beautiful. It's got a twist ending which I thought was executed really well.
Hope you like these recs! I tried to pick fics that weren't too terribly long, since those can get intimidating. Plus, I don't reread super-long fics very often.

Comfort in You
Adrien needed to get out. He curled deeper into himself as the walls chased down to cage him like a determined hunter.
It was a trick of the mind, he knew. He knew his room was spacious enough to support a relatively large apartment. That it would be impossible for him to be closed in.
He knew. But his brain couldn’t process that.
Today wasn’t what Adrien would call a good day—and he certainly had better. Just thinking of it sent him into a spiral of his own thoughts.
The air in his room were lego blocks he's forced to inhale. Smothering his nostrils in full force. And was it just him or was the ground starting to sway?
“Breathe,” a voice brought him back to reality. Adrien didn’t even notice he was holding his breath.
He had to calm down. Gain his head back.
Breathe, Agreste. Just like the article said, 4 7 8. Inhale through the nose for 4. Hold it for 7. Exhale through the mouth for 8, Adrien did as so.
You’re alright, you’re okay. Just calm down and you can get out of here!
Somehow he had managed. His surroundings were clearing up. The walls didn’t look like they were about to collapse on him anymore. The air filtering through his nostrils lightened in weight.
He was fine.
“Fine” was an overstatement really. He was far from it as it is.
But in his situation and for argument’s sake, “fine” would fit in nicely.
Exhaling one last shaky breath, Adrien fixed eye contact with his furry companion and smiled.
“Thanks, Plagg. I needed that.”
The black cat rubbed his cheek against his chosen’s. Not for long though. Despite appearances, Plagg had a reputation to keep. He couldn’t let Tikki make fun of him!
Plagg did loops in the air before favouring a spot in front of his chosen. His flipper like hands poised on his waist and a sly smirk played on his lips.
“So, you ready to break out of this place?”
Adrien mirrored his smirk with a fresh new glint in his eyes, “Plagg, claws out!”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Life had been considerably unpredictable for Marinette. With her secret life as a superhero and the sudden debut of a supposed supervillain—or magical terrorist with the ability to grant people magical powers through the aid of butterflies, Marinette had thought that she was beginning to gain the capability to be unfazed by the unexpected. That with all the bizzare events in her life she became acquainted with it.
Apparently she was wrong.
Never had she expected for a certain cat—or perhaps Chat to be perched on her veranda. It rattled her at first. Chat’s last visit had been... interesting, to put it nicely. It wasn’t his fault per se, nevertheless the escalating events left a bad taste in her father regarding the cat themed hero. The bad blood died down, but finding the very person that broke your daughter’s heart on your balcony would certainly summon a very irresistible impulse to jettison him; and Marinette really didn’t want to explain to Paris why one of their heroes managed to become roadkill near her bakery (the suit would probably protect him, but Marinette did not want to take that chance).
That put aside, Marinette shuffled under her sole protector from peering—or in this case, Chat Noir’s eyes. A hand stationed at her trapdoor as her eyes spied on her partner.
His back faced her as he surveyed the city; his cat ears were flat on his tousled gold locks while he hummed a song Marinette became familliar with as “Little Cat on The Roof”. Her lips twitched into a knowing frown.
Being partners for so long they were bound to notice habits the other owned. At the moment, it was Chat’s occasional croons. Marinette recognised the song as Chat's solace. A safe haven achieved by focusing on the assortment of melodies the song offered. She came to the conclusion that her kitty was distressed; presumably due to family circumstances.
Marinette weighted her odds. It didn’t seem like Chat had noticed her yet—which was good. She hadn’t known what action to take. On the one hand, it would be wise to not nose around and let him solve it in his own time. But on the other hand, seeing him lack his usual jubilant and bright attitude sent a jab to her heart.
She wanted to help. To be of service to him like the terrible jokes and over the top shenanigans he did for her. No matter how stubborn she was to clung to her sour mood, he would do almost everything that came to mind to alleviate her spirits. She wanted to do the same for him.
“Marinette?”
The mentioned girl tensed before sighing internally. She knew she was bound to be spotted (HA!) somehow, though she did wish it would be from her own volition rather than a slip aided by Chat’s observation skills. Marinette didn’t loiter on that thought longer and pulled herself up. Red bloomed on her cheeks as the crisp autumn air caressed her skin while embarrassment added an even darker shade of red.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to spy,” she found great interest in the floor as her fingers busied themselves by connecting and disconnecting themselves, stealing peeks as she did.
She expected, hoped, for him to take the chance to chaff her of having an infatuation on him or alleging her of being stunted by his self-proclaimed dashing looks (Marinette has thrown herself into a spiral of denial), albeit begrudgingly. She had, because if he did—there lied a glimmer of hope that it would be easier to buoy her partner. Chat, however, had other plans in mind.
Chat offered her a smile. Impeccably centered and hollow like a well crafted porcelain doll, “It’s okay, it was rude of me to steal your balcony.”
Internally Marinette cringed at the sight. Her stomach wrapped itself in knots of discomfort. It reminded her of the smile Adrien would plaster whenever Chloe or Lila claimed possession of him. That night Marinette vowed that she would never let that smile abide on either boys ever again.
“It’s all right,” she spoke as her feet planted herself next to him.
A pregnant pause held them hostage. Both fearful of breaking the fragile semblance of peace between them despite the mutually felt inquietude.
“So,” Marinette threaded with rightfully earned prudence. Voice soft and light like footsteps on thin ice.
“...So...”
“I have some croissants.”
Finally a piece of her kitty came to light in the form of a grin on his lips and a glint in his eyes.
“You would indulge this poor stray to the finest pastries in the world? Truly, you are the most a-meow-zing purr-incess in the world!”
Marinette fought the giggle bubbling in her throat with no success before sending him a playful glare coupled by a smirk that flourished nothing but friskiness, “Careful now, those awful puns might just cost you.”
Chat’s hand sought his heart above the magical leather suit as an overly inflated gasp found freedom from his peach pink lips.
“How could you Purr-incess! My puns are widely ad-mew-tted to be fur-ry paw-esome,” he retaliated, voice brimmed with feigned smugness.
Snacks and chagrins were soon forgotten as they fell into an easy rhythm of banter. Jabs aimed to Chat’s puns would immediately be reciprocated with a flimsy defense along with an additional pun. Each one personally designed to perturb her further into submission. But despite it, Marinette couldn’t brush away the warmth buzzing through her entire body as they went back and forth. The once brisk air nipping at her skin replaced by a fervour akin to a hug from a dear friend.
After a particularly long laughter from both parties as Chat had finally managed to delivered a humorous pun - “EXCUSE mew Purr-incess, my puns are always funny!” - they settled in another lapse of silence. Consisted of feather lightness and melodic sweetness.
The city was exceptionally beautiful, they had agreed. Perhaps it was due to the occurrence of a full moon, offering the city a better lighting to its beauty; perhaps it was the fiery orange lining the streets with its playful gradient; or perhaps the most immediately discarded thought in their heads, the company they had.
It was a territory they never dared to venture. A land littered with minefields yet to be discovered, yet to explode with much more uncertainty and a set of emotions they were far too fearful to label. Because trying to label the unknown might shatter the bits of understanding of their emotions they barely possessed. Putting the hesitantly glued pieces into shambles; and as a teenager finding their place in the world, it was a risk they were walking eggshells on.
Neither allowed themselves to loiter on the thought longer than a second.
“I, I should get going.” Perhaps it was her imagination, perhaps it was reality how Chat’s ears drooped as he spoke.
“Uh, yeah, it's getting late...”
Chat took the initiative to climb the rails of her balcony, hunched and ready to set off. Baton in hand and his leather-covered thumb hovering over the button to extend it the moment he leaps.
Swivelling his head to face the pig-tailed girl, he gave her a smile, genuine and sincere. “Thanks Marinette, I’ll see you next time.”
For reasons unkown to Marinette herself, a giggle burst forth from her throat. Tickling the air around them with her bubbly laughter. All at once, the air felt warmer to Chat Noir.
“Sure thing, you silly cat.”
Marinette had expected for Chat Noir to make his way. However, still he was in his previous position, unmoving. Marinette was one breath away from uttering her worries when Chat Noir’s voice cut through the air in slight whispers timid and uncharacteristic.
“Can I,” he paused for a minute, but persevered nonetheless, “can I come here again?”
The question sounded child-like in Marinette’s ears. Like a shy little kid trying to make friends while shouldering a large fear of rejection. He sounded so small, so vulnerable.
Marinette took a breath to ease the tenseness she felt from Chat’s question. She needed to deliver an answer appropriate from her words down to her tone in order to fully put Chat at ease.
Gentle and fluffy, sweeter than all the candies in the world with a tone of loveliness, she spoke. “You’re always welcomed here, Chat.”
A weight could visibly be seen lifted off Chat’s shoulders. Shoulders once guarded and fearful of rejection came to relax for the first time that night. With a nod, Chat finally made his way back to his house.
The journey was something he didn’t desire, but he can’t impose Marinette with his overdue stay. At the very least, he came back with a new feeling better than anything he had in a long time. A feeling of warmth buzzing in his heart. Perhaps, he’s finally starting to remember the feeling of home again.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
HAHAHAHA SO-
I uh, I forgot about this thing’s existence and neglected it for 2 years...
Well so that’s also why the writing style is a bit screwed up but I tried and honestly I was too lazy to rewrite the whole thing so you can have this mess instead ❤️.

Runaway: Roommates AU
For @a-marlene-s and the contest, for the prompt: Runaway
A Harry Potter-based Miraculous Ladybug AU. With roommates.
_________________________________
Marinette was a big believer in luck. She came by it honestly, as there was something of a family belief regarding the unknown force that impacted their lives.
Her Uncle’s luck helped him work his way to becoming a world famous chef.
Her Mother’s luck led her to her husband.
Marinette’s luck gained her a strange roommate and his equally strange cat.
...If there really was a universal force directing fortune as her family believed, she had some questions for it.
It was just Marinette’s luck that the day she met Adrien, she was in the market for a new roommate. She had been sharing her flat for the last five years with her best friend, Alya, and they got along well. But Alya had a boyfriend and they had recently chosen to take the next step in their relationship and get a place together. Marinette understood, of course, but it still left her now as the sole resident of a flat that was outside of her budget and forced to choose to give it up or find some other way to make ends meet that wouldn’t involve giving up food and end up causing Alya and Tikki to stage an intervention.
The choice should be obvious, but Marinette loved her flat and was loathe to leave it. Sadly, she had only been able to afford it previously because she had shared expenses with Alya. On her own, it was more costly than she could afford and more room than she really needed.
But oh...what other place had an extended balcony that was perfect for a garden? Or such wide windows that were positioned to let in light but avoid the sun’s glare? Or had a built in desk and a space she could use as a crafting nook?
She was already having to say goodbye to Alya, she wasn’t ready to say goodbye to her home, too.
But it seemed that Luck pulled through for her, albeit in a rather...unusual way.
When the blond cinnamon roll appeared in her bakery, looking so lost and confused with no idea what to do or where to go, and nothing with him but a suitcase and an equally unhappy cat...she hadn’t known what to think of him.
Well, that’s not quite right. Her immediate thought had been to take the poor boy in and hug him until he stopped being sad.
Then he tried to pay for a single croissant with an overabundance of a strange type of coin. And it became clear that the man was very much not from around here. And had no idea how money worked.
Or how anything worked apparently, given his multitude of strange reactions to things.
Admittedly, she had been a bit hasty in her offer of letting him stay with her. After all, inviting a complete stranger to live with you was...generally not the brightest idea. If anything, it was usually the setup to a horror movie. But Marinette still went through with it anyway.
To this day, she still didn’t know what made her do it. Desperation, perhaps? Attributing it to her luck and not wanting to let an opportunity pass her? Or maybe it was the way something about him had drawn her in...
Regardless, he had no place to go. And she had a place he could use. It seemed like a mutually beneficial arrangement.
She just hadn’t realized just how lost Adrien was when they first met and introduced themselves to each other. Not until after he first moved in and it became abundantly clear how unfamiliar he was with...well...everything. It was no wonder he had been so overwhelmed when she first met him.
She couldn’t help but want to help him.
She just hadn’t realized what all that would entail...
____________
“Marinette! What is THAT?!”
“That’s the microwave.”
“WHY IS IT BEEPING? ARE WE GONNA DIE?”
“No, Adrien, it’s just popcorn.”
“What are these words?!”
“Do you really not have popcorn in the country?”
“Why is the bag big now? Is it magic? Are you magic? Because—”
She just shoved a couple of the popcorn pieces in his mouth at that.
_____________
"Wait, you mean you don't know how to use a washing machine?"
He shrunk in on himself. "No."
She blinked in surprise. She could have sworn…
“But...then how have you been washing your clothes?"
A long pause.
He simpered. “Can I choose not to answer that?"
She sighed.
_____________
“Marinette! Your morning wake-up box is beeping. You need to get up.”
She mumbled and turned away from Adrien and the offending noise.
He frowned. “Marinette, it won’t turn off unless you do the thing.”
She pulled a pillow over her head and continued to ignore him.
Undeterred, he approached her bed. Against better judgement, he poked at her to get her attention.
“Mari—”
A hand suddenly made contact with his face. In an all too similar manner to how she would normally try to subdue the ringing wake-up box.
It would take two days worth of apologies and make up gifts of hot chocolate and pastries for him to forgive her.
_____________
She frowned, looking at an expanse of wall and empty space on one side of the den.
“That’s weird…didn’t we have something here before?”
Adrien stilled at that.
“No.” He answered tersely.
“I could swear there was something.”
“Nope.”
She tilted her head, thinking. “I thought this flat had a fireplace? Didn’t we use it sometimes?” She could have sworn...
“You must be imagining things.” Adrien told her, taking hold of her shoulders and trying to guide her to the couch on the other side. “There hasn’t been anything there since I moved in.”
“Oh. Maybe it was a shelf or something Alya took with her.”
“That must be it.”
“Hmm…maybe we could set up a television there…”
“Yeah, sure.” He replied automatically as he drew her away from the area.
So caught up in her thoughts, she never noticed the dirty glare Adrien shot towards the now blank wall.
_____________
She had thought the introduction to television would be the biggest thing.
And she was right.
“What is THAT?” He asked in wonder, staring in shock at rectangular box with moving images inside.
“It’s a television.” She explained, gesturing to the screen as Romero confessed his love to Julia in the Spanish soap opera her cable had somehow allowed her access to.
She bit back a laugh when Adrien attempted to touch the screen. “Are they stuck in there?”
Omg, he was so adorable.
“What? No! It’s…well…it can play sounds and images from somewhere else. Things that were pre-recorded and are replayed for entertainment.”
He perked up at that. “Like a radio?”
Okay, good. So wherever he was from, he wasn’t THAT far behind on technology. Only early 1920’s instead of the nineteenth century like she’d feared.
“Yes! It’s just people pretending.”
“Oh.” He sighed, still enraptured by the TV.
“Yeah, and there are all different types of shows and movies. Different genres and different styles.”
“Styles?” He asked, finally tearing his eyes from the television to look at her.
“Sure. There’s live action, CGI, animation—”
He blinked. “Animation?”
“Yeah, like cartoons and anime.” She frowned, considering. “Actually, I think there’s…what channel was it on again?” She used the remote to flip through channels until she reached one particular network that was currently playing some anime she vaguely recalled.
Adrien gasped, his eyes even wider than she had previously thought possible. And there was a particular shine to them as he stared at the TV like it was the holy grail. He barely noticed Marinette anymore, now standing in front of the TV and completely enthralled.
Marinette chuckled softly to herself as she lightly took his arm and pulled him back so they both sat back on the couch. Adrien let her, his gaze never straying from the screen as the teen magical girl protagonist transformed to fight the monster of the day.
That was the day Adrien was first introduced to anime.
It was also the day Marinette inadvertently created an otaku.
_____________
One day, he had called her in a panic while she had been at work.
“Adrien?! What’s going on?” She asked.
“It…this thing just came out and it’s crawling the floor! IT ATE PLAGG!”
She balked. “WHAT?”
“He tried to attack it and—wait. Plagg? You’re alive! What are you…NO WAIT PLAGG, NO!”
Marinette had practically thrown her apron to Tikki and rushed home. Within minutes, she had reached the flat and slammed the door open to what could only be chaos.
Or at least the sort of chaos that comes with Adrien huddled with his legs held up on the couch and glaring in betrayal as Plagg proudly sat atop the Roomba that was still making its way across the floor.
And…
Yeah, Marinette couldn’t.
She just couldn’t.
It took a good five minutes for her to stop laughing.
Adrien pouted the whole time, muttering about traitorous cats and roommates.
And Plagg continued to ride the Roomba. Looking for all purposes like a king, even when it knocked into the counter at one point and an empty can of Camembert fell on his head.
Marinette just laughed harder.
_____________
She had slowly been introducing Adrien to the world. Bit by bit. One lesson at a time. And with each day that passed, he seemed to become more comfortable with her and the world at large. And while he never said much about his life before, what he did say (and what he didn’t) was more than enough to paint a picture. One that Marinette didn’t like and made her silently swear to herself she would be having WORDS with his family if she ever met them.
But Adrien had been getting better. Happier. More outgoing as time passed.
He had even gotten a job at the coffee shop as a barista. Which was kind of amazing, to be honest. He didn’t know anything about coffee, but he seemed skilled at mixing things. When she had asked, he made a comment about “potions” being his best class.
Funny guy. Though she wasn’t sure she understood the joke.
There was also just…something about him that seemed to draw people in. Whenever he was working the register (after he had finally learned how to work the machine and count money, and wasn’t THAT an experience in itself?), the number of customers seemed to grow exponentially compared to other days. It just didn’t make sense. Adrien just smiled and said it was part of his charm.
Another joke she didn’t understand.
Tikki seemed to get it though. Her friend was also a bit weird, but she and Adrien seemed to get along rather well. It was like they shared a bond of some sort.
To be honest, Marinette was a little jealous.
But she was happy for him. He was really growing over the months they spent together. Wherever he came from, it didn’t seem to be the healthiest place. Adrien certainly never wanted to talk about it, so the best she had to go on were his behaviors and conjecture.
He seemed happy, at any rate. He was able to leave the apartment now. He was making friends, and seemed to be getting rather popular even. He had a job—not that he seemed to need it given how much money he had…even if he had no idea how to use it.
Who tried to pay for a pastry in gold coins anyway?
Ah well. It didn’t matter.
Whatever happened, he was her weird roommate.
And she wouldn’t have him any other way.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Adrien liked his “roomie”. Marinette was…nice. She was patient and took the time to explain things when he didn’t understand. She didn’t yell at him for making a mess—which he did…often. She smelled like cookies.
And most importantly, she didn’t ask questions.
Oh sure, she gave him weird looks fairly regularly. And she was clearly confused by his lack of knowledge about things that were normal to her. But she never ridiculed him for it. If anything, she was teaching him, and he had to thank her for it—especially for anime. Because this? This was awesome!
She was the best roommate he could have asked for.
Even if she was a Muggle.
He shouldn’t be with her. Or here at all. How could things have possibly worked out this way? Or even half as well as they have?
Adrien Agreste was a Wizard. The son of Gabriel Agreste, a high-ranking official of the French Ministry and personal friend of the French Minister of Magic. He came from a long line of powerful Wizards and no blood pollution.
At least…not until his mother, whom had been a half-Veela.
Gabriel hadn’t known at the time when he chose to pursue her. And it remained questionable to this day whether it had been her Veela charm that had driven him to her in the first place. But he had been furious when he had realized it, and it was considered a dark mark on the family line.
Maybe that was why she was gone? It was certainly why Gabriel had kept Adrien isolated for most of his life. At least until Beauxbatons. But even there, things had been…stifling.
A private room. His classes carefully chosen for him. Personal tutors. And his interactions with other students were kept limited to avoid anyone falling under his charm. But even then, his heritage gave him an aura of some sort. One that made people in awe of him, but only further increased the distance between him and everyone else.
Sure, Chloe was there, and she had been his childhood friend, but the Minister’s daughter did not endear herself to anyone. And when it became known he was her friend, it hadn’t helped matters.
It was little wonder that a number of the other students avoided him.
Other than ones who wanted to use him.
Like Lila Rossi.
He hadn’t known what to think of the girl. She was popular enough, sure. But her stories rang false to him and she tended to treat people around her like helpers rather than friends. He knew from the start that there was something about her that was untrustworthy.
Lila…had an unusual interest in him. One he didn’t like. It made him uncomfortable.
And yet somehow, she wormed her way into his father’s good graces. So much so that of all people, Gabriel had decided to arrange a marriage for Adrien to her. Because of course it just made sense for the two to get together.
Not that Adrien’s opinion had ever been consulted on the matter.
Gabriel was nothing if not stubborn though. Once he had set his mind on something, that was it. Adrien had never won an argument against him. And he knew he wouldn’t win here either. Even when it was his own future on the line. Even when it was his life being decided for him.
So he ran.
It was quite possibly both the best and worst decision of his life.
He had been completely lost and overwhelmed at first. And almost immediately questioned his sanity. But he just couldn’t let himself back down on on this one. Sure, his father had always been somewhat overprotective of him and controlling of his life. And he had been fine with it. Mostly. Kind of. Not really.
But an arranged marriage was just…too much? He ended up gathering his more important belongings into his trunk and taking off with Plagg before he had even realized what he was doing.
Adrien had kicked himself afterwards. He had always given in to his father’s orders before and it turned out…well, not “fine”, but all right, at least. Surely…surely this wasn’t that big of a deal right? That his father was selecting his wife for him? That his future would be set in stone before he even really had a chance to figure it out for himself.
He was an adult now. Surely…he could choose what he wanted to do, right?
Well, he was an adult, sure, but he knew nothing about the world. And especially not the Muggle world, where he had escaped to in a rash bit of insight. Because surely his father would never think to look for him there? His father didn’t know anything about the Muggle world, after all.
Except then Adrien had realized all too late that he hadn’t even known anything about Muggles, either. His father wouldn’t let him take the Muggle Studies class, so he knew nothing about what they were like or how to fit in. He had money on him, of course, but what currency did Muggles use? How did he convert it? Where could he even look to for a place to stay?
Within two hours, he was regretting everything. He was debating giving in to his fate when Plagg had seemed to get an interest in something and ran off, resulting in a chase that led Adrien to a quaint little coffee shop.
If nothing else, he could take a break here and regain his bearings.
But…
Everything had smelled so wonderful. And the pastries looked heavenly. He had known it was a bad idea, but…well, maybe they could accept Galleons here?
How many Galleons were one of these pastries worth?
Well, a dozen should be enough, right?
The strange look that the girl gave him only made him want to duck his head in shame.
It wasn’t enough, was it?
But as if she was proficient in Occlumency and could tell exactly what he was thinking, she instead took him aside and talked to him. And despite himself, he told his story.
Well…half of it.
A third?
A little, at least. Just enough to give the basics of what she needed to know.
And it turned out to be enough, as she made him an offer he’d had to have been a fool to refuse.
That was how he ended up sharing a home with a Muggle. A sweet and strong woman whom, for all of their differences and completely separate worlds, he had felt closer to than anyone he had known in the Wizarding world.
She didn’t understand where he came from. And he certainly couldn’t tell her. Wizarding laws and secrecy and all. But she was still trying to help in her own way. And he could tell her…some things, at least. About his feelings. About his wants. Things he had never been able to tell his father. Things his father had never cared to listen to.
But she listened. And she cared. And she offered shelter. For him and Plagg, regardless of how much a of a pain the cat could be.
He had his own room, sure. But it was a quarter of the size of the old one and somehow all the better for it. While bare at first, the walls were eventually covered in silly posters from his favorite anime. The shelves were filled with books and toys, little knick knacks that actually made him happy to see. Some things Marinette helped him picked out. A lot of which were just things he saw and wanted. All sorts of things he had never been able to get back…there.
And he wasn’t stuck in the room either. He could leave it whenever he wanted. Spend time in the living room and watch the “television” and feed his growing love of anime (once he had gotten rid of the fireplace because he wasn’t about to risk someone trying to get in through the Floo Network, even by accident). Play “video games” with Marinette. Go on the balcony and enjoy the sun. Even just go out into the city whenever he wanted.
It was…a truly marvelous experience for someone who had been isolated for so long.
He even had a job now, working at the very shop where he had met Marinette. He knew nothing about coffee or the machines, but Potions was his best class and one he enjoyed. Mixing and cooking things to create something new was a rather amazing thing. And while coffee weren’t potions, he had come to realize that certain things he had learned in his class could translate over. A difference of heat and changing the length of time the coffee was allowed to roast resulted in a different flavor. Though he did have to fight for the position with another coworker by the name of Tikki, a friend of Marinette’s whom she introduced him to.
And that was the other thing…
“You’re a Wizard, aren’t you?”
He had admittedly not expected to run into anyone from the Wizarding world at all. But the short red-head with twinkling blue eyes caught him off guard completely.
Even as she smiled sadly at him.
“Marinette doesn’t know, does she?”
Dumbly, he could only shake his head in response.
He hadn’t wanted to be discovered. Not by anyone.
It turned out to be for the best though. Tikki was a huge help in getting him more acclimated. She explained to him more about fitting in as a Muggle. She even led him to the nearest Wizarding Bank where he was finally able to change his Galleons to the correct currency.
As a Witch herself, he knew she wouldn’t reveal him. And it was nice…having someone else who knew, even if she didn’t know the full story. She was still in touch with the Wizarding world and could help him. Giving him news or updates, point him to the nearest hidden shops for anything he might need. And yes, even laugh with him over his latest failures.
“It’s not funny!” He pouted as Tikki was practically howling after hearing the latest story about King Plagg the Roomba Rider.
“Yes, it is! YES, IT IS!”
“I even have video.” Marinette added cheerfully, much to Tikki’s pleasure as both women proceeded to look at her cellphone and chortle over the recording. Adrien was simply ignored and left to sulk.
He would never live it down.
It had been months like this, and some embarrassment aside, he had thoroughly enjoyed it. All of it.
He even enjoyed working. Though he admittedly felt a little guilty that his Veela charm seemed to draw in customers to the point where there would often be a pretty long ling just to order coffee. But Marinette and the other workers just laughed it off.
He was…really starting to consider this home.
The coffee shop. The city. The flat.
Tikki.
Plagg.
Marinette.
Rooming with Marinette was probably the best thing to happen to him. He had been trying new things. Learning so much he hadn’t known previously. Seeing things. Doing things.
Living.
It was...nice. It was home. It was everything he wanted in a home. Even if he was banned from activating anything besides the television when Marinette wasn’t there.
He was ever grateful that Plagg had led him to her.
Never alone - Chapter Eight - Soulmate AU
AO3
Previous - Here - Next
Master List
It’s kind of funny to write Marinette’s imagination going overboard x)
Hey, anyone ever wrote a Miraculous x Doctor Who cross over? I’ve been bing watching the serie and I’m obsessed with it!
Marinette was tired after this day, but a good tired. Working with Tim was amazing, she has learned so much in just a day and she couldn’t wait for the next.
When seeing everyone on the bus on the way back to the hotel, she was happy to find that her classmates had a good time at Wayne Enterprises. They were all talking about the things they learned and how nice the people they were working with were.
She exchanged a glance with Alya and they fist-bumped, happy that they made a good choice with this trip. They would all mature from this experience.
Arriving at the hotel, despite being tired, the designer also felt restless. She wanted to move, run or something. She wished she could go on a run on the roofs of Gotham as Ladybug but it would be too much risk and possibly compromise her identity.
Maybe Robin would agree to take her on a run on some of the safest roofs.
Marinette was in her room with Alya, reviewing all the notes she had taken while listening to Timothy. She had already filled a few pages of her brand new notebook that she bought back in Paris specifically for this internship.
Looking at the time, she realized that it was almost time for dinner and closed her book. She discreetely took a cookie out of a box and gave it to Tikki. Her eyes landed on the glasses inside, feeling a bit guilty that she kept the Miraculous inactive and that Kaalki couldn’t be with them, but it was safer this way. Hiding one kwami was already a difficult task, but two…
She didn’t want a repeat of Kwami Buster when both Tikki and Plagg were both caught by Mrs. Mendeleiev.
She preferred not to think about that event, Plagg’s presence at her school still unsettled her, despite Chat Noir claiming not knowing what school Françoise Dupont was.
She recognized a lie when she heard one, herself having to make the most ridiculous excuses to cover her superheroing.
But it was better not thinking about it, she wasn’t ready for anything regarding their identities.
And right now, she was hungry.
“Are you ready to go eat Alya? I’m hungry.”
“Yeah, just let me save this on my external drive and we can go!”
She watched as the reporter did just that and started chatting about her day.
“God, Mari, I’m so happy we applied for this program. I’ve learned so much today and it was only the first day. Mrs. Finnigan taught Adrien how to handle the press when they spread false information about him and she told me all about the relations between the public relations teams and the media. I heard from Nino that he has ten pages of notes about copyrights already and it’s not over! He’s already planning to get some of his songs protected!”
“That’s great, Alya!”
The class had an essay to write about their time at Wayne Enterprises when they get back to Paris, and while it should have been a source of complaints from the students, hearing how everyone loved their time there, writing an essay about him shouldn’t be a chore for anyone.
She heard at dinner that some had even started the outline of their essays and the two girls could see how proud Miss Bustier was of her students.
The laughs from the class’ table in the hotel’s restaurant could be heard from the lobby.
Tumblr media
His brothers were laughing at his expense and Damian was seconds away from hitting them.
And probably do way more violent things too.
During dinner, Tim related his day with Marinette, smirking at his youngest brother all the while. He was telling them what a sunshine their future sister in law was and how Damian literally ran away from her the moment he saw her in the co-CEO’s office.
And of course, Jason and Dick found it hilarious.
“You spend every night with her as Robin but you can’t handle seeing her as yourself?!”
“Shut up Todd, before I make you regret your words.”
“It’s that he just can’t handle it, Jason! He literally noped out of it!” laughed Tim along with his brothers.
Unfortunately, Tim dodged out of the way of the knife he threw at him.
Maybe he should put something sharp in his shoes when he wasn’t looking. Maybe, then, his brother would just shut up.
The youngest Robin sighed. Siblings were such a drag.
Tumblr media
“What the hell is that thing?!”
Robin and Marinette were on the roofs of her hotel for their daily meetings and for once, she was in her pajamas without her contact on. He got used to seeing her with two blue eyes so it was a bit weird to see her with a jade green eye just like his. All that added to his cape that she was wearing, just like every day before, was enough to make the tip of his ears go red.
Damn, she was cute like this.
But it wasn’t what prompted him to react the way he did.
No, what warranted such a response was the tiny red thing that was floating next to her and looking at him with weird big blue eyes and an antenna on its head.
The bluenette laughed.
“This is Tikki. She’s a Kwami and it’s thank to her that I can transform into Ladybug. She’s been- Comment on dit, déjà ? Ah! She’s been granting me my powers ever since I got the Miraculous.”
“It’s very nice to meet you! I’m so glad Marinette found her soulmate!” the… the thing said with a high pitch that hurt his ears.
“So a literal insect is giving you your powers?” he asked, skeptical.
The kwami frowned.
“Hey! Have some respect, would you? I’m not an insect, but a Kwami! I’m basically a god!”
“A… god? This tiny thing?”
Tikki scowled and scoffed.
“I’ll go back to the room, Marinette!”
And without another glance to Robin, she disappeared.
“I think you offended her.”
“Well, excuse me for being skeptical about a tiny thing that looks like an insect being a god.”
Marinette laughed.
“I can’t blame you. When I first met her I called her a blatte-souris. Hm… a croroch-mouse?”
“A cockroach-mouse?”
“Yeah, a cockroach-mouse! Sorry.”
Robin smiled, amused.
“So, yeah. I panicked and all so I wasn’t better than you.”
She clapped her hands.
“Anyway! I was actually hoping that you would accept to take me on a run somewhere, I’m feeling restless.”
“Absolutely not.”
There was a heavy silence as Marinette just looked at him.
“Why not?”
“Do you realize how dangerous it would be? We can’t risk anyone recognizing you! Could you imagine if someone saw Robin and an unmasked girl running around Gotham? The media would have a field day!”
Robin watched as the designer thought about it and could see the moment she agreed with him.
That girl really was an open book, he thought.
“Alright, alright. Then… Maybe you could teach me some basic martial art moves? As you know, I’m basically acting on instincts as Ladybug, but it would help a lot if I actually knew how to fight. Properly. Especially since the Akumas are getting a lot more violent.”
That, he could do.
“Fine. But we’ll need to spar a little so I can assess your skills and see where to go from there.”
The Parisian beamed.
“Alright! I’m ready.”
As she got in a defensive position, the vigilante observed her carefully.
“First of all, don’t make your fist that way. Don’t put your thumb inside, but outside. You could break it upon impact.”
The teenage girl did as he said and he waited a few seconds more before he attacked.
She dodged easily but she didn’t see his next move. Of course, he didn’t put strength in his hit, the goal wasn’t to hurt her but to observe.
She attacked in return but none of her blow hit home.
Two minutes in the sparring and Marinette was on her back, Robin having softly flipped her.
“Again.”
They sparred a few times, each time Marinette lasted a bit longer, but she never lasted more than five minutes.
She was breathing heavily while he barely broke a sweat.
“I’ll be honest with you, it’s a miracle you’re still alive.”
He winced. He hasn’t shown her this side of him yet.
“Tell me something I don’t know.” she scoffed.
Good, she could take it. He was afraid that she would be offended.
He sat next to her as she stayed on the floor, like a starfish.
“We’ll have to start from scratch. I’ll teach you some basic moves but there is only so much I can teach you in less than a week. You really need to take lessons when you get back to Paris, no matter how full your schedule already is.”
Marinette looked at him, giving him a sad smile.
“Yeah, I know. I’ll do it.”
“But you’re not hopeless. You adapt fast.”
“What do you mean?”
“Well, every time we sparred, you would last longer.”
The Eurasian girl laughed.
“I didn’t last more than five minutes!”
“No, but in the first spar, you lasted only two minutes. So it’s progress. It shows that you adapt easily. You’re also aware of your surroundings and know how to use it. If you take this seriously, you’ll progress fast.”
He watched as she was still breathing heavily.
“Come on, give me your phone.”
She did as he asked and he took his own phone out too. He unlocked her phone easily.
“And for the love of God, Marinette, put a password on your phone.”
She smiled sheepishly.
He entered his contact information and send a message to himself from her phone and then saved her contact. He gave her her phone back.
“Here, I entered my number. I’ll send you a training program. You need to build up your strength and your stamina. You can’t afford to be out of breath like that.”
He hoped she wasn’t offended. He only did this because he cared and he didn’t want her to get killed fighting Akumas because she wasn’t strong enough.
The way she smiled at him showed him that she knew that.
“Thank you.” she breathed.
Marinette was like an open book, but Robin knew he wasn’t. He didn’t know how to feel that she could read him so easily. Was he already lowering his guard around her?
He sighed. He knew that the answer was yes. He already was lowering his guard. He did it unconsciously because he wanted things to work with his soulmate.
He didn’t want to be the man his mother wanted him to be. Not anymore.
“We’ll start some training tomorrow. In the meantime, I believe I promised you to show you some of my drawings.”
Marinette beamed as he took a few pieces of paper and she straightened, sitting next to him as he showed her drawings of Titus, Alfred the cat and the batcow.
He smiled as she cooed at them.
Tumblr media
When she woke up the next day, Marinette cursed Robin. She was sore at some places that she didn’t know had muscles. She had a headache, but that was probably because she only got two hours of sleep, she and Robin had stayed later than usual, losing themselves in their conversations unaware of the time passing.
Marinette heard a noise next to her.
“Marinette, wake up! Breakfast is in twenty minutes.”
The designer cursed once more in her head. It was the first time since the beginning of the trip that Alya woke up before her. The dark-haired girl panicked for a few seconds, already imagining the reporter seeing her green eye. She could already picture her asking questions about her soulmate, who they were and when it happened. She could already see herself screw up and admitting that Robin was her soulmate and it would be on the Ladyblog and it would spread worldwide and Robin would hate her!
She wanted to scream until her mind cleared. Why was she panicking? Hiding her eye was, actually, really simple.
Marinette got up, rubbing her eyes and feigning a yawn as she made her way to the bathroom.
Nailed it, she thought as she closed the door behind her.
AU where Adrien's de-transformation screws up and instead of being left with a tail and cat ears, imagine him being left with canines and cat eyes???
And for a whole week of school Adrien is wearing sunglasses and barely speaking, and when he does he doesn't really move his mouth a lot.
And Adrien's friends are concerned, bc what happened to sweet, bubbly Adrien?
So of course, they try to get a reaction out of him. They talk to him, they make funny faces, heck Nino even teases Adrien about his crush on Ladybug.
But Adrien is silent, smiling but not really doing anything.
So one fateful day, they decide to give him a surprising party. (And it might be a way for Marinette to end up with him - Alya) But basically the class orchestrates this whole thing where they get to school super early and set up the next door classroom. Ms. Bustier is totally cool with it. Marinette is supposed to get Adrien and bring him into the other classroom so they can surprise him.
So Mari agrees, bc she's worried about Adrien too. But she's slightly late, because she's Marinette and we love her. The plan is Mari waits in the classroom and then brings Adrien next door.
However, Adrien got there earlier than her. And boy was he confused when he walked into a dark, empty classroom with absolutely nobody. He's sure there's school today, his sleep schedule can't be THAT off!
He takes off the sunglasses, bc wtf he can't see ANYTHING. So his chat noir eyes are scanning the room trying figure out this mess while Plagg is asleep in his pocket.
But anyways, as Adrien is puzzling over what the heck is going on, Marinette opens the door to the dark, empty classroom. Light floods in, and she makes eye contact with a blonde boy with shockingly green eyes not unlike Chat Noir.
Adrien, of course, screams because he's startled and that turns out to be worse. Because MARINETTE SAW HIS EXTRA SHARP TEETH.
Marinette also screams as it dawns on her, because Chat Noir had just asked her the night before on patrol about parts of their hero personas manifesting out of costume.
Overall they're both freaking out. The class is wondering where Mari and Adrien are. They're both screaming. It's awkward.
So Adrien decides to play it cool. He pretends to be suave about it. After the screaming dies down between the two of them, he smacks on his shades and pretends it's all okay. He even gives the model smile and everything.
Marinette is just thinking "shit, shit, shit. I can't let him know that I know."
It's VERY awkward. They both totally ignore what happened for their own reasons and try to stay in denial. Mari gets back on track and takes Adrien to the surprise party.
Adrien is as quiet as ever but he smiles bc his friends are amazing and he's sad he can't say anything. So he nods in thanks and enjoys the party silently.
It's still aWkwARd. Him and Mari are both glancing at each other and make eye contact on various occasions.
The class notices. Adrien is still quiet and now Marinette is being weird. The party is a disaster. The day ends and everyone goes home.
It's patrol time now, and Chat starts his flirty greeting. It's weird though, because Ladybug is looking at him blushing and annoyed and looking VERY conflicted. It's different, and he's wondering what changed? It's not necessarily a bad change, but it's strange.
Marinette is internally freaking out. She can't believe Chat Noir, that little sinner, is the same person as sweet, sweet Adrien. Her inner turmoil is at its max.
School is awkward too. Adrien finally managed to figure out why his transformation wasn't totally wearing off. Plagg used some kwami magic because he thought it would be funny if Adrien had cat teeth for a week. He couldn't even give a toothy smile in photoshoots and refused to take off his glasses. Plagg sure got a kick out of it.
So Adrien ditched the shades and talks a lot more now, apologizing about how he wasn't feeling well the past week.
Marinette is not convinced. She knows who this boy is, and she totally ends up staring at him more often than usual now.
Adrien is still in his facade. He isn't showing any signs or recognition to what happened in the empty classroom. He is overly polite to Marinette, and in turn Marinette ignores what happens and is overly polite back.
The class is happy that Marinette and Adrien are talking to each other, maybe they'll get together now. They don't realize how forced the politeness is.
Meanwhile, Plagg and Tikki are making a bet on who can eat the most food. Loser has to do one thing the other tells them to do. Tikki tries really hard, but not even her love of cookies and overcome Plagg's utter devotion to Camembert. How he stomaches the stuff, she'll never guess.
So Plagg wins, and decides to have some fun. Tikki ends up having to give Marinette wings and antennas for a whole week.
So when the next week starts, Marinette is walking around with large hats and long trenchcoats. Her friends ask her about it, and she replies by telling them it's the latest thing in fashion.
But Adrien is confused. He KNOWS that trenchcoats in spring and certainly overly large hats aren't the latest fashion trend. But why would Marinette do something like that then?
He gets his answer one day, when he's walking inside the school. It's a windy day, and he can spot Marinette running inside, just as a gust of wind blows her hat right off.
It lands at his feet. He snatches it up quickly and looks up to hand it to her. To his amazement, he comes face to face with a girl with antennae. He's shocked.
Marinette uses this to her advantage and quickly ditches with her hat securely back on her head. Adrien is just standing there going wtf.
Marinette and Adrien are totally avoiding each other now. It's weird. The class knows something happened, but they don't know what.
Later in the evening, when it's time for patrol, Adrien is shocked again. Ladybug just showed up, but she has antennae?!
Slowly it dawns on him. Marinette knows he's probably figures it out, this whole thing is insane.
"MARINETTE?!!!"
Ladybug facepalms. She can't deny it. She gives a weak nod right before Chat scoops her into a hug while laughing.
She starts laughing too, their situation is ridiculous. She can't believe they were right next to each other all along.
They do their patrols with promises to talk the next day. At school they show up, and boy are they chummy with each other.
The class can't understand how Marinette went from a stuttering girl to someone who is comfortably touchy-feely with their crush.
Even Adrien is making awful puns, Marinette lightly punches him when he does. They're laughing together, they're happy together. The class doesn't know how, but hey at least those two are happy and they are ADORABLE.
Marinette is still wearing her hat and trench coat by the end of the week though. It sometimes gets awkward.
Who gave you that black eye?
Conclusion
[Part 1]  [Read it on AO3]  [Prompt List]
Requested by @lady-charinette. Thanks to @chanceuseladynoire and @epcot97 for helping me finish this story! Check out their writing!
Chat Noir woke up in an ocean of pink. He was lying in Marinette’s bed. Ladybug’s bed? No, he must have had a concussion in the battle and now was imagining things.
He tried to sit up, but his head was too heavy. He groaned in pain.
“Oh, thank goodness you’re awake!” Marinette’s voice approached as she climbed the steps.
“W-what happened?”
“You fainted. You were mumbling something about Ladybug and passed out.”
“What did I say?”
Marinette hesitated.
“Nothing important. I panicked and carried you here.”
“Wow! You’re a mighty Mousinette!”
“Yeah, I work out,” she replied, dismissively, while replacing the ice pack with a new one. “You have a huge bump on your head. It must have been when the soccer guy threw that goal post at you.”
“Huh. I was fine before.”
“It’s like my black eye. The swelling often gets worse before it can get better.”
“Yes… it’s exactly like your black eye.”
“Here, take this,” she handed him a pill and a glass of water. “It’s paracetamol, it will help with the pain.”
“How do you know I got hit with a goalpost earlier?” He asked, straightening up a little to take the medicine.
“I— I must have seen it on the Ladyblog.”
“I visited the Ladyblog after the fight. There’s no video footage and all the photos are fuzzy.”
In fact, there were very few photos of the battle, and the ones there were nebulous. The Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper had been akumatized after yelling at some fans who threw smoke bombs into the pitch. His powers included throwing endless soccer balls and equipment, while his gloves had the ability to shoot colourful smoke as a cover.
Marinette had no way of knowing about his injury. Another check on his mental evidence list.
“I… I saw—read—heard it somewhere else. Yes, I must have, right? It’s not like I was there, right?”
The dizziness returned, unforgiving. Whether from the injury or from the new information, it was impossible to tell. He laid his head back down on Marinette’s fluffy cat pillow.
“Do you mind if I stay a little until the pill kicks in?”
“Sure,” she replied. Was that a sigh of relief? “You relax. I’ll be down at my desk working.”
“Can I see it?” Chat Noir asked, keeping his eyes closed.
“See what?”
“The leather piece you were working on. The one which made you punch yourself.”
“Maybe some other day, kitty. Now rest.”
The second time Adrien woke up, the first signs of dawn were beginning to light up the room. His head was much better, but he still couldn’t sit up.
A raven head and a delicate hand rested on his chest. His left arm was around her waist, their legs intertwined.
Oh, right. She must have gone to sleep after I passed out.
The way she was snuggling against him was a testament to the absolute trust and affection between them, and it melted his heart.
Adrien felt grateful it was Saturday. He didn’t have anything scheduled, so he wouldn’t be missed until lunchtime. As much as he would like to stay, he should get ready to leave.
Acting on an involuntary impulse, he tucked away a stray lock of Marinette’s hair. His hand lingered for some seconds more than strictly necessary, smoothing her bangs away from her eyes.
It was only when Marinette breathed out a sigh that Adrien noticed his hand was ungloved.
Crap! Crap! Crap!
He called out in a whisper-shout for his kwami. Why did he detransform? His ring was still there, to his relief. Was Plagg injured? Or just out of energy? He had to get back home, now!
“PLAGG!”
He tried to quietly untangle himself from the covers, human and otherwise, but the pair was so wrapped up in each other that by the time he succeeded, Marinette was awake and gaping at him.
The next few seconds appeared to happen in slow motion.
Adrien tried to hide by ducking beside the bed, even though Marinette (Ladybug!) was so close it was in vain.
Marinette yanked on the covers to hide her face, either to stifle a scream or to try to unsee what she’d seen.
Adrien tried to escape, clumsily crawling towards the stairs, but his legs were still entangled when Marinette yanked it, causing him to be slingshot all the way down to the lower level of the bedroom.
Two sleepy, grumpy kwamis (one grumpier than the other) peeked up from behind the pillows, screaming.
Marinette tried to climb down the stairs to help Adrien, only to trip on the sheet as well and fall face down on top of him with a thud.
Plagg and Tikki followed, concerned for their owners’ well-being.
The situation was altogether absurd, all four frozen for what felt like an eternity, looking from one to the other and back again in a staring standoff.
“I know you told me you were crushing on me, Milady, but this is ridiculous!”
Marinette let out a tiny “Eep!” and scrambled to get up.
“What-how-why are you calling me that?”
Oh no. She’s panicking. What do I do?
“Well, Buginette, I guess the cat’s out—”
“—Don’t even think about it!” Marinette interrupted, poking a finger on his chest.
Taking a few steps back, she just pointed a finger at him in a bossy ‘stay quiet’ gesture. He didn’t dare do otherwise.
Her brows were furrowed, eyes darting from side to side, just like Ladybug did when she got a particularly enigmatic lucky charm. Looking everywhere except at him.
Then, she seemed to remember something. Her eyes flew open and she covered her face with her hands.
“I can’t believe you just sat there listening to me pour my heart out like that,” she murmured from behind her fingers, then gestured in his general direction. “All the while just… just.. being Adrien!”
“It was no fun for me, either,” he murmured, venturing a step towards her. “I couldn’t help being me, you know.”
She turned to the kwamis.
“And now what? Do we have to give our Miraculous up? Tikki? Plagg?”
“That was Master Fu’s rule,” the tiny red god flew towards her and patted her face in comforting reassurance. “Now you are the guardian, you get to make your own rules.”
“Then why did Master Fu want to keep us in the dark about each other?” Adrien asked, his arms reaching out in frustration. “Giving the Miraculous to us, being in the same school — heck, even in the same arrondissement — finding out was inevitable!”
“It was inevitable,” Tikki agreed, turning to Adrien. “The Miraculous of Creation and Destruction work in mysterious ways. Even we kwamis, don’t know everything.”
“Tell me about it!” Plagg huffed. “You were always meant to find each other, kids. Only, not before you were ready to!”
“Do I look like I was ready?!” Marinette paced the room, tugging at her hair, before stopping to face and point at the kwamis. “Wait, you two little buggers knew about us all this time!”
“You’ve been playing us since the beginning!” Adrien stood by her side, glaring at the little deities.
“Come on, Plagg, let’s get you something to eat and give these two some privacy. I’m sure they have lots to talk about!”
Watching their companions fly away, they remained silent for a few minutes. Finally, Adrien was the first to break it.
“I’m so sorry, Marinette. I should have just left last night when it got too personal. I abused your confidence, and look where that got us!”
Marinette glanced at him, then looked away.
“It’s okay, Adrien. Seeing that you had a concussion and all.”
“I was in shock, really,” he let out an unamused chuckle. “Here I was, pining for the unrequited love of my life, when I found out this other girl I really, really like… likes me!”
Marinette risked a peek.
“You really, really like me?”
“It’s funny, Plagg kept calling you my girlfriend. I always denied it, but deep down I always felt like you were more than just a friend to me. Now I know why.”
“Aren’t you just saying that because now you know I’m Ladybug?”
“No! I mean… obviously I know, I even considered the possibility sometimes, but I couldn’t believe it—”
“I get it, you couldn’t believe the clumsy girl from your class could be Ladybug,” Marinette sniffled, turning away from him. Adrien knelt down in front of her, holding her face and gently making her look at him.
“I couldn’t believe this unlucky black cat could be so fortunate as to have his best friend and his love within the same person.”
“Oh, stop,” she mumbled nervously. Adrien felt encouraged.
“I couldn’t believe the pretty, talented, kind and selfless Marinette could also be the confident, heroic, amazing Ladybug.”
Marinette smiled shyly.
“I couldn’t believe you could fit so much awesomeness in such a small, cute package.”
Marinette hit him in the face with a pillow, but he went on regardless. He moved closer, a very Chat-like smile on his face.
“I couldn’t believe Ladybug could be so adorably shy and… and weirdly insecure, though she has so much going for her.”
Their faces were almost touching now, their voices down to a whisper.
“I can hardly believe Ladybug is going to let me kiss her now.”
“She is?” Marinette looked at him incredulously, but he saw the teasing glint in her eye.
He nodded. “Absolutely.”
“Well then, what are you waiting for?”
The small distance still separating them disappeared as they kissed. It felt like an earthquake shaking their very souls. Like fireworks igniting their bodies. Like everything was right in the world.
Finally.
ML Fic: Soulmate Survey Part 6
(Master post)
_______________________________________________________________________
“No worries Rose, the shirts are done. Yes, I can bring them to school tomorrow. Okay, tell everyone I said hi back. Take... Oh you and Juleka are at 87% compatible? Congrats. I always knew you two were.... Mine? Oh uh look at the time bye!” Marinette ended her conversation a bit exhausted.
Rose was a good friend, but the girl had a way of talking an ear off if Marinette wasn’t careful. Marinette would have texted her, but the girl would blow up her phone with 50+ texts. So Marinette decided a phone call was the best way of contacting her.
Marinette had felt super productive after she got back from that akuma battle. Though before she could action on that productive vibe she had to deal with some weird emails that mentioned codes for restarting her password for ‘Soulmate search’. She decided to change her password just to be safe, probably smart if someone was trying to get into it.  Marinette always figured it’s better to be on the side of caution when it came to her personal items and information. That is why she made that trap box for her diary.
Some people have no lives, trying to get into other people’s accounts. Marinette thought to herself. She could only imagine the type of desperate person who tried to get into her account for a matchmaking app. Probably some two bit hacker that wanted to spam her with emails. She logged in to make sure everything in the app was fine. Her personal information secure, and her compatibility list was unchanged. She smiled at the first place ranking. It was the spark she needed to get back into her productive mindset. Deciding that since everything was fine, she would not look into the matter further so long as it doesn't happen again as she would rather focus on her commission but would definetly keep an eye out for it.
Now able to ride her wave of productivity, She was able to finish the new Kitty Section shirts that Rose commissioned. The Second design really did look good. Now that they had enough original songs to make their first album, they needed a shirt with the cover on the shirt, which Marinette happily designed for them as well.
“The shirts look great.” Her red Kwami praised as she looked them over. “And you dont have to pull an all nighter like you did last time.”
“Yeah, it was easier the second time around, especially now that I organized my schedule better.” Marinette agreed. “With occasional 20 minute video game breaks, those really can do wonders.”
Marinette’s phone began buzzing again.
“Oh, thats right. I promised Rose a Picture of the shirt.” Marinette remembered.
She picked up the phone.
“Don't worry I was just about to send you the photo of the shirt.” Marinette answered.
“What shirt?” A voice that definitely didn't sound like Rose.
Marinette dropped her phone. Her face went red. It was Adrien. Adrien was calling her right now.
“Marinette? Are you still there?” Adrien’s voice came from the phone.
Marinette stumbled to the ground to pick up.
“Yes Here Marinette is. I mean Yes. Marinette is here. Speaking.” Marinette tripped over her own words. She was caught off guard by the sudden phone call.
Why was he calling? Was he going to say that he changed his mind about what he said earlier? Or was he calling because he doesn't want to wait that long and start dating now? Marinette had to shake those thoughts out of her head.
“Oh good. I was wondering if you were busy Friday after school? I am going to have a tv interview and it would be really cool if you could come along. You won't be on camera or anything if you don’t want to be. You can be right by the set.” Adrien explained.
“Really?! Yea, Yes. Free am I. I am free then.” Marinette corrected herself. She mentally told her self to relax. She was able to regain composure.
“Awesome! Oh, just so you know. Nathalie said I can only bring one person so It will just be the two of us and my bodyguard, is that alright with you?” Adrien questioned, Speaking a bit faster then normal, if Marinette wasn’t so nervous she might have noticed. “If it isn’t that is totally fine to. I am sure Nino would go if I asked.”
This boy was going to kill her. Just the two of them. Her and Adrien on Friday after school. Well sure there would be a studio with a bunch of people, but out of everyone he could have invited, he chose her. She was his first pick. Her heart felt like it was trying to burst out of her chest.
“Thats fine with me. Is there a dress code? Do I need to...”
“I was going straight to the interview from school so I will be in my school clothes so I wouldn't worry, besides you always look great so even if they do put you on camera for a bit you will be fine.” Adrien assured. “So its not a big deal if you were to come Into-view”
Marinette couldn't help but giggle at the word play, he sounded so sweet and endearing.
“Thanks for the heads up, I wouldn't want to put your choice in guests into Question.” Marinette punned back. She mentally slapped herself. That was such a bad joke there is no way he found that funny. That stupid cat is rubbing off on her.
To her surprise, Adrien laughed at her joke, Marinette could swear there was no sound the rang as sweet.
I will give that cat macaroons later Marinette mentally noted for later for his influence.
“I will explain any details I find out tomorrow. Have a good night, Marinette.” Adrien said after he finished laughing.
“You too. Good night Adrien.” Marinette practically swooned after she hung up.
The ladybug Kwami smiling.
“I believe that went well.” Tikki encouraged.
Marinette moved to her bed and fell back on it, clearly dazed and excited.
“He wants me to go with him to his interview. I was his first choice. It will be amazing...”
Tikki sighed with soft smile. Its a good thing Marinette finished those shirts and her homework earlier, it was clear no other work was gonna be done tonight. She wondered what Marinette’s reaction will be tomorrow.
_______________________________________________________________________
Adrien hung up his phone with a giddy grin on his face akin to the one he wears as Chat noir. She does like puns, another point for the legitimacy of the app.
“She said she was fine with it.” Adrien told his kwami as the cat consumed a piece of camembert.
“Congrats Romeo, you asked her out on a date.” Plagg commented casually.
Adrien felt his cheeks flush and his grin shifted.
“It isn't a date.”
“Sounds like a date. Not that I care.”
“It really isn't a date. It is just Marinette and I going to an interview I am gonna have. There will be a bunch of people there and It isn't like it will be just the two of us.” Adrien explained.
“Aren’t most areas filled with people?” Plagg pointed out.
“Well yes but I mean...”
“And if it isn't a date, why didn't you just text her like a normal teen? You went out of your way to call her.” Plagg rubbed in. He had a satisfied smirk watching Adrien get close to Ladybug levels of flustered over Marinette. Plagg desperately wanted to tell the boy, but he held in the urge by chomping down on some cheese.
Adrien was about to comment but his blush only became more apparent.
“Maybe its a tiny bit like a quarter date. maybe a third of a date.”
“Math is your worst subject kid and what your saying isn't adding up.” Plagg countered. He decided to to twist the knife a bit more seeing Adrien get more red.
Adrien knew he wasn't getting anywhere.
He didn't know why this was making him all flustered. Sure Marinette had always been a sweet friend. Sure she had always been cute and kind. But now just thinking about her made him nervous. Like seeing Ladybug without his mask on. Ever since he saw that compatibility score and started thinking about her as more then a friend, it was like a gate in his head that was holding these thoughts and feelings about her had swung open and the door couldn't be closed, and he wasn't sure if he wanted it closed. It all sort of clicked and the more Adrien thought about it, the more he liked the idea of him and Marinette.
“Anyway, it will be nice to have her come along. I am sure everything will go great, and Marinette will have a good time.” Adrien moved past his petty discussion with the cat.
“I am sure it will all go smoothly for you. I don't see Anything possibly going wrong.” Plagg sarcastically retorted.
“If something goes wrong now, I am not ordering you the camembert.”
“Kwami Abuse!”
_____________________________________________________________________
Still 100%
That thought made him feel warm as he walked into the school on that Thursday morning. He had answered the daily questions as soon as he was out of bed. He practically melded his eyes to the screen as he waited for the results. His 100% compatibility with Marinette was unchanged.
He also noticed that Kagami slid down to 80%, but she hadn't updated her profile yet so it could change later. But he was more concerned with the top spot.
Adrien arrived to class. He made his way to his seat, where he noticed Nino listening to music.
He sits down and nudges Nino playfully. The Dj turns to him and pauses his music.
“Hey dude, you seem in a good mood.” Nino greeted as he moved his headphones to his neck.
“Are those new?” Adrien inquired as he looked at the cooler, sleeker designed headphones that looked in a lot better shape then his previous pair.
“Yup, they were on sale yesterday. Snagged the last one in stock.” Nino bragged. “Half off.”
“Congrats.” Adrien offered a fist bump which Nino accepted.
Adrien took a quick look around to ensure no one in the class was paying attention to him. Alya was outside waiting for Marinette, so Adrien knew he didn't need to worry about any eavesdropping from the ladyblogger.
“So about yesterday... you didn't tell anyone about what I sent you?” Adrien whispered.
Nino’s face showed complete confusion.
“What thing did you send me?” Nino questioned.
“You know...” Adrien leaned in closer. “The compatibility list? You sent me a text about it yesterday.”
It took the hat wearing teen a moment to gather himself.
“Wait you got the app? Who did you get?” Nino inquired.
“Nino. I sent you the list.” Adrien answered. His tone more serious and concerned then before..
“Sorry dude, But I don't know what you're talking about.” Nino responded. The Dj pulled out his phone to show Adrien the texts. Sure enough, the exchange from yesterday was absent.
Adrien was shocked.
“Thats impossible.” Adrien spoke as he pulled out his phone and looked at his messages, it was identical to Nino’s except that the exchange from yesterday was present.
Nino looked at it.
“That is bizarre. Cause I didn't message you yesterday. I know I didnt message you then because that was when I was leaving to go get this.” Nino gestured to his headphones. “I was setting up Chris with someone to watch him just before leaving. “
Nino looked closer at Adrien’s phone as if staring at some parallel world.
Adrien was definitely lost. If Nino didn't text him, who did? Who did Nino have watch Chris? Would that person be respon--”
“Holy shit dude!” Nino exclaimed interrupting Adrien’s thoughts. “You got one h...”
Adrien immediately covered Nino’s mouth.
The whole class now looking at the two teens.
Adrien felt embarrassed.
“He was surprised by my high score in super penguino.” Adrien lied.
The class went with it and decided that Nino’s reaction wasn't important enough to look into.
‘Thank Kwami for short attention spans’ Adrien thought as he waited for Nino to calm down before removing his hand.
Adrien practically yanked Nino out of the classroom to ensure no one was listening in.
“Dude!” He whispered in shock. “I can't believe you got 100% and with Marinette.” Nino was in shock from seeing the compatibility score in the photo. “I mean I’m not surprised you two scored high, but 100%? That is so choice. I am a bit jealous, I haven’t even gotten 100% with my girlfriend.”
Alya is probably gonna flip when she finds out. Oh man if she finds out and knew that I knew? She might kill me if she finds out from someone else. Nino thought to himself.
“Can we discuss this later? I don't want people finding out about it yet.” Adrien pleaded.
“Why dude? Aren't you happy that Marinette is at the top of the list?”  Nino asked with a bit of worry that Adrien might want to turn the designer down.
“I am happy, more then I thought I would be with anyone. But I don't want people finding out yet.” Adrien replied.
“If you are chill with it then what’s the big...”
“If word gets around that someone has 100% compatibility with me, things could get... complicated. Especially for Marinette.” Adrien interrupted. “You have seen how my fans can get. I don't want to throw Marinette into that if I can avoid it. Not until I know she is fine with this, with me, with everything.”
Nino could see the genuine worry on his friend’s face. He could tell Adrien cared about Marinette. He always knew he did, but now it seemed even clearer then before.
“Okay dude, I won't tell a soul. Except I might need to tell Alya, She will want to know.” Nino responded.
“Yes, you can tell Alya only. As long as she swears not to tell anyone.”
“I will swear her to secrecy.” Nino assured.
“Thanks Nino. But that brings up the question, if you didn't text me, then who did?”
“I couldn't tell you. Maybe someone hacked your phone. The only person that had access to my phone yesterday was me and...” Nino’s expression shifted as he made a realization.
But that couldn’t be right, why would she have an interest in the list? She told me earlier that she wasn’t into Adrien. But then again, there was that picture that was sent to everyone from Adrien’s phone of her kissing his cheek. But she assured me that it was platonic. Something isn’t adding up. She was the only other person that had access to my phone. So who else could it be?
“Who had access to your phone?” Adrien inquired, snapping his friend out of his thoughts.
“I think I might know who sent those texts. But I don’t know why she did it?”
“She? Nino who was it?” Adrien questioned.
“So you know how I needed someone to watch Chris?”
“Yeah?”
“And Normally I would have asked Marinette but she was busy with her commissions and Alya was watching her big sis’ match so...”
______________________________________________________________________
A car pulled up by the park where a certain brunette was sitting and had been waiting. The car window rolls down to reveal a bespectacled man with styled hair and a stern look. The fashion mogul Gabriel Agreste was sitting in the car.
“You better have a good excuse for calling for this meeting Miss Rossi. You are aware of how busy I am.”  The man sternly commented.
“I swear it is important Mr. Agreste. Adrien’s reputation and his safety are at stake.” Lila responded.
“How so?”
“Adrien’s delinquent classmates have gotten him mixed up in a scandalous app that has him put information about himself and meeting up with strangers.” Lila spun her web of lies.
Gabriel took her words with a grain of salt, but decided to humor her as this would likely be useful once she was finished trying to make herself look good.
“Are you certain of this?”
“I am. Adrien showed me a picture of the app. I tried to tell him that nothing good would come of taking part in such a nasty thing, but he wouldn't listen. His classmates have sold him on taking part of it.” Lila lied. “You need to have him delete that horrible app, nothing good will come of it, it will just have more people trying to take advantage of Adrien for his money, status and looks.”
“She seems to be Projecting on to others master.” Nooru whispered only loud enough for Gabriel to hear. Gabriel nodded, he was losing his patience with the liar. Clearly she had been wasting his time. He motioned for the purple kwami to stay hidden before responding to Lila.
“I see, so tell me. What is the name of this app?” Gabriel questioned.
Lila froze for a second. She had thought she would not have needed to tell Mr.Agreste.
“...Soulmate Searcher...” Lila confessed.
Gabriel’s disappointment shifted into intrigue. He remembered that app. It was the cause of despair for the recent Akuma he had made, as well as other cases of despair that he was planing to use later. So his own son was using that app.
“Very well, I will look into the matter. Thank you for the information Miss Rossi.” Gabriel dismissed. Leaving an uncertain brunette on the park bench.
“Nathalie, look into this app and tell me everything you can find out about this ‘Soulmate Searcher.’ Perhaps Lila has given us another useful nugget of information to use.” Gabriel stated.
“I will be sure to do so.” His glasses wearing assistant nodded as she drove the car back to the mansion. “Do you really believe Lila was being honest about the app?”
“I doubt most of what she stated held merit. My son is not such a fool as to take part in deviant behavior. Even if Adrien was taking part in the app it is likely not as she described it. But that app was the cause of my recent akuma, it definetly has some sway over Paris. It will be something that can be of use. Gabriel answered calmly.
This information was definitely of great use. I can feel that this might be the start to getting the edge over those two heroes that have eluded me. Soon their miraculous will be mine and I will have my Soulmate back. Gabriel thought to himself as his face revealed a Hawkmoth-Esqu smile.
Welp, I was unaware that Lie was out until 10 minutes ago, so I guess I’m watching it instead of doing uni work! Time for a reaction! (Y’all tell me if you rather me put my reactions under a cut or something. I know long posts are sometimes a pain to scroll by)
The theme song really did change and it kinda slaps
Ay! Tikki hype Mari up! Also love that the kwamis are just floating around Mari’s room
 Of course a documentary on Adrien’s life pops up
what the fuck does “Can you redo it but a little more orange” mean??? I know it’s to make it sound ridiculous, but still
Lol “Imma pop in my phone, make it sound like I’m playing piano and peace out of here” Like imagine if his phone bugs and just music that Nino sent to Adrien starts playing full blast, so Natalie or Gorilla come and check and find Adrien gone (I would suggest Gab goes to check, but we all know he doesnt care enough about his kid)
Plagg about to eat his cheese and just get sucked into the ring without having gotten to eat
Oh no, Buginette isn’t there :(((
OH NO! CHATON IS LEFT ALONE
Aw, he’s humming the theme song
He’s so sad but also so supportive and understanding
Chat stans!
Ok, but his message thing whatever is so funny! “No message but don’t forget my cheese!” (It’s funnier in french because it rhymes....)
Fucking banana man and Mr. Pigeon
Chat is so bored and sad
Lol, Chat goes to the hotel bar for a glass of milk
Everyone asking about Ladybug, but no one asking about him
Lol, Chloe, wtf
“After a moment of refection, I’m actually gonna take a double milk” babe, where are you learning this? Where are you learning this kind of language? Aren’t you sheltered?
Also, this kitten is really desperate to see his Lady, wishing for an Akuma
KAGAMI BABYYYY
Plagg ships Adrigami
Lol, Gab and whatever Mrs. Tsurugi’s name is blaming each other when its all Kagami who wanted a moment to herself
KAGAMI DRAWS OMG THATS SO CUTE
Adrien modeling for her (from her request)
LOL KAGAMI “Drawing you is easy because you’re beautiful, but I want to draw the real you, the person within” Loving that confidence
The glare when he poses as Chat
“No, that’s you when you’re fooling around” “Maybe when I’m fooling around is when I’m truly me?” Chat is who Adrien really is confirmed
KAGAMI BABE WHAT ARE YOU DOING SO CONFIDENT
Interrupted Adrimi kiss.... obviously
Cute kissies
Wait, is this- YES!!! YEET THE KITTY! SAME TIME AS TRUTH
Oh, the truth parallels (or repeating scenes?)
That’s a weird place to have a kiss? Through cars?
Oh no, he dropped the Mari charm.
Kagami’s really putting his heart out there
“Do you also like me?” Oh baby :(((
“To tell the truth, it’s only with you that I have this much fun” is such a cute and sad line (I love Kagami and I hurt for her the same way I hurt for Luka in Truth)
Kagami, baby, I dont think about being liars is a good thing. Like I get why you lie, but I wouldnt pride myself with the fact that both you and Adrien are liars
Oh, there it is “I lie to spend time with you. You lie to not spend time with me”
That dramatic angle on Adrien
Fuck Gabriel Agreste
Jagged Stone is more loving to Prince Ali than to his own kid....
Kagami is just eating everyone with white light
Chat lying is giving up a lot of info on him. Like how he hates béchamel cauliflower (which is amazing, btw)
  Lol, they gonna use Fang to eat Kagami (or the akuma item)
Chat sacrificing himself is so dramatic omg
“No! Chat Noir! Don’t do that! You’re crazy!” “Yeah, crazy for you” cue the dramatic drop to his death
Bro, is the cat road kill? He just splat on the ground
I don’t know how Fang actually hit the charm, but like... good for LB
LB isn’t happy about the sacrifice but Chat finds angry LB adorable so he won’t stop
Kagami is pissed at Adrien omg, girl is going hard
Oh. Lukanette at least stayed friends. Adrimi are totally done with each other
Ok, overall reaction. This one was wild. I loved it from start to finished. I really liked the Truth clips, showing how they overlap. I love how much we learned about Kagami. I actually love her intensity. Will her black and whiteness bite her in the ass some day? Probably if she stays like that all her life, but she’s like 15, so she has time to grow. But I really like the contrast between her and Luka, how she’s so intense and he’s so chill. I think they would benefit hanging out together. So I loved this episode a lot and it had some really good lines! 10/10!
Summary:  My take on the AdriChat insanity from Tumblr. It’s just a silly reveal fic where Marinette walks in on Chat Noir detransforming and chaos ensues when Marinette tries to play it off (terribly) and Adrien tries to make excuses (horribly).
(ao3)
She could not forget her homework again. No way. This time, Marinette would stay on top of things! And that meant that she was getting her homework right now.
She had nearly made it home after the latest akuma attack when she realized she forgot her homework and her book bag at school. Again.
“Oh, Tikki! Why do I always do this?” Marinette whined.
Tikki floated out of Marinette’s purse and perched on her shoulder. “It’s not that bad, Marinette,” she chirped. “We’re not that late this time. The school’s still open for after school activities. And think about it! Because you remembered, you can get your homework done on time!”
Marinette sighed. “You’re right, Tikki.” She smiled and patted the kwami on her head. “You always know what to say.”
Tikki smiled brightly. “I am here to help guide you, after all.”
“Thanks, Tikki,” Marinette said.
As they got close to the locker room, Tikki flew into her purse, snuggling up to her macarons. (They were peach flavored today.)
Marinette rounded the corner of the locker room door and saw three things in quick succession. First, Chat Noir coming in through the window, his miraculous beeping its "time's up" warning. Second, a bright, green flash. Third, before Marinette had time to look away, Adrien stood where Chat Noir had been just moments ago with Plagg appearing next to him.
She definitely wasn’t supposed to see that.
Marinette lurched back out the locker room’s door and out of Adrien and Plagg’s sights. It would be a disaster if she let him know that she saw. It was a disaster that she saw!
She tried to process what she just witnessed. That was definitely Chat Noir. Who was now Adrien and Plagg. It certainly didn’t help her attempt at calm when Plagg whined, “Adrieeen, cheeeeeese.”
“You know where it is, you glutton,” Adrien teased. That sounded like something Chat Noir would say. She had never heard Adrien tease like that before.
Except she had when Chat Noir—who was also Adrien—had teased her.
“Marinette?” Tikki whispered, floating in front of her face. “It’s okay. You can do this. Just act like you saw nothing. It’s just Adrien in there.”
“Who just so happens to be our friendly neighborhood black cat hero!” Marinette hissed back.
She knew she was freaking out. She had to get a handle of her thoughts. Better plan: she’ll do what she did last time and come back to the school as Ladybug in the middle of the night to pick up her assignments and bag. She was fine with pulling another all-nighter. It was definitely better than facing Adri-Chat right then and there.
Marinette knew she couldn’t do that. She wanted at least some control of her thoughts. She definitely didn't want to face Adrien after an all-nighter. A sleep-deprived Marinette was a way worse choice. Anyway, if she did that, she would totally spill her all-nighter coffee with too many espresso shots all over Adrien. Adrien would hate her and she would be so embarrassed that she’d have to move to Guam! She didn’t want to move to Guam! She had to be here for Paris. Paris needed Ladybug, but then Chat—
Tikki’s voice snapped her out of her panic. “Marinette! You’re spiraling again. I know you can do this!”
Marinette blinked a couple of times, logic returning to her. “Okay. Right. I can do this!” she confirmed. Tikki nuzzled her chosen’s cheek, then hid in her purse. Just because one identity was blown, didn’t mean Tikki had to reveal the other.
Marinette turned around, opened the door to the locker room again, and ran face-first into Adrien, knocking them both over.
Adrien, the ever-protective hero he was, grabbed her around the waist to keep her safe as they fell. His touch was doing nothing to improve her state of mind.
Marinette squeaked and scrambled off Adrien the moment they landed. She nearly fell on her butt in her haste to get away.
“Oh, no! I’m sorry so! I- Ack! I didn’t mean to do that!” she stammered.
Adrien let out a small laugh, then fixed her with the sweetest smile. “It’s fine, Marinette. I’m not hurt. Are you okay?”
His smile was the cutest thing... Which was also Chat Noir’s smile. There was no way she could handle this right now! Tikki was wrong!
“Really? Good! I mean, I'm okay! Not a bruise on me! Well, other than the ones I have already. Oh, I’m such a klutz. I didn't mean to run into you. I wasn’t paying attention. I thought I saw a cat outside and that’s why I wasn’t looking where I was going. Maybe it was Chat Noir! That would just be silly though. Of course, he’s not an actual cat...” Marinette fabricated her lie on the spot.
Adrien tensed up, his face going pale. Oh, no, no, no! She already messed up! Tikki probably just planted her face into one of the macarons just so she didn’t have to see how badly this was going to end. Marinette didn’t want to be here to witness her humiliation either.
Adrien let out a nervous laugh. “Maybe you did see him? It’s not every day you get to say hi to one of the superheroes of Paris, right?”
Okay, Adrien was going along with her ramblings. That’s a start. Encouraged, Marinette continued. “Yeah. Saying hi would be nice. It’d be fun to hang out with him on the Eiffel Tower, too.”
Adrien nodded. “I bet he would be really cool to play video games or watch movies with. He’d be way better than me at video games. Probably give you a run for your money, Marinette.”
He was trying to cover up his identity even though she already knew who he was and she was just making it all weird. Marinette couldn’t handle this. This was the actual worst.
He kept talking. “He’s totally cool enough to date, too.” Adrien froze. Marinette went rigid as she processed the words that just came out of his mouth.
Scratch that. This was the actual worst.
It wasn’t like he was telling her to date him. That would just be silly. Adrien didn’t love Marinette. It was definitely a ploy to throw her off. The only other option was that it actually sounded like he was trying to say that he would date… himself?
This was too ridiculous. She was too high strung for this! Marinette blurted out a giggle.
Adrien’s face started to flush red. “What? He’s cool. And funny. He could sweep you off your feet!”
Marinette couldn’t stop herself from giggling. He didn’t have to dig himself deeper into this hole. She already knew he was Chat Noir! She was watching a train wreck in progress.
“It almost sounds like you want to date him,” Marinette teased with a playful, though panicked, grin.
Adrien’s voice pitched an octave up when he yelped, “What?!”
“You’re going on and on about how cool and funny he is. I bet you think he’s hot, too.” Marinette did not know what she was saying anymore. It was like her mouth had a mind of its own and decided it was a great idea to put the train wreck’s pedal to the metal and floor it. She didn’t even know if trains had pedals!
Adrien defended, “He’s no model—”
Marinette burst into laughter. This was just too ironic. She was pretty sure she could hear Plagg’s snickering from wherever he hid.
Adrien’s blush became darker. He just kept on talking. “But he is good looking! Who wouldn’t date a superhero? I hear he’s actually really smart. And he’s really funny! You’ve heard his jokes!”
Marinette gasped for air to reply, “You mean his atrocious puns!”
Adrien was quick to defend his favorite type of humor. “They’re not that bad!”
She wheezed, “They’re hilarious!”
Adrien perked up, “Really?” Clearly he had forgotten he was supposed to be pretending to want to date himself.
Air was finally restored to Marinette’s lungs. “Yes, really!” She wiped at the tears pooling in her eyes, feeling half exasperated, half adoring.
The image of Chat Noir’s excited and happy face was clear in her head. He always perked up when she told him she liked one of his jokes.
She’d love to look at him now, but she just couldn’t when she knew he was unmasked. She would panic worse than she already was if she saw Adrien’s face. Especially when Marinette couldn’t stop blabbing on. “You know, I can track him down so you can ask him out on a date. I can’t imagine anyone saying no to you.”
Marinette looked up to see Adrien’s face warp from happiness to panic. She bit her lip to force herself not to laugh. It didn't help that she was definitely still panicking.
It was obvious that he was too with how wide his eyes were getting, and he was smiling with just a few too many teeth. “Whaaaat? Noooo,” Adrien dragged out the first two words, “There’s no way I’d be able to date him.”
Marinette giggle-snorted.
Adrien continued his reasoning. “He’s—um... not fashionable?” The excuse came out like a question.
Marinette couldn’t hold it in. She doubled over in laughter, leaning against the lockers. The irony was too much and she could barely stand it.
Marinette caught her breath enough to say one sentence. “It’s the belt tail, isn’t it?”
The reply was immediate. “The tail is cool!”
Her stomach hurt from laughing so hard. There were tears running down her face. She didn’t need to look to know he was pouting.
The belt tail is kind of cool, she admitted privately.
Adrien was doggedly (cattedly?)  fighting a failing battle to defend his right to date his alter ego, “I can date him if I want to!”
That was the last straw. She couldn’t hold herself up anymore. Her back slid against the lockers as she lowered, as gracefully as she could when laughing so hard that snot was coming out of her nose, to the floor.
Catching her breath, Marinette looked up to see Adrien turn to leave the locker room. This whole thing must have been so confusing for him. Marinette never acted like this around him. Well, she did when she was Ladybug, but that was beside the point now. She just didn’t want her partner to take her teasing the wrong way.
“Wait!” Marinette stumbled to her feet and grabbed his arm, pulling him towards her and smooshing her face into his shoulder. “Wait! Chaton, please?”
Adrien tensed up. A beat of silence passed. Then, he hesitantly said, “That’s something Ladybug calls Chat Noir.”
Marinette giggled into his shoulder, “Well, duh. I know that.”
Silence again. The only sound was Marinette’s labored breathing as she tried to stop her giggle-fit. She could hear her heart pounding in her ears. It wouldn’t be surprising if he could hear it too.
Adrien took another step towards the door.
Marinette held fast, hugging his arm closer and keeping him from going any further. “No way. You’re not going anywhere. I can’t watch you do this anymore. I couldn’t handle it if you told anyone else that you were cool enough to date yourself! Even if they didn’t know you were, well, you!” Marinette nervously bit down on her lip and jittered her knees back and forth. “Nino or Alya would catch wind of it and then I wouldn’t ever be able to tell you that I love you because it would be way too awkward with you fake-dating yourself!”
After her catastrophe of words (haha), Marinette forced her mouth shut. Saying anything more would make things even worse than they already were! She kept her eyes clamped shut and breathed his smell in as she tried to get the bundle of nerves in her stomach to calm down.
She felt him staring at her like he was trying to figure her out or something. Probably trying to decode if what she said made any sense.
He took a deep breath, then whined, “Bugaboooo, stop iiit…”
Marinette shook her head against his arm. “Nu-uh. Never.”
A moment later, he murmured in awe, “Ladybug?”
Ladybug? Wait! She was Marinette right now! Not Ladybug!
She let go of his arm and stumbled back the moment she realized the implications of what was said. Her eyes were wide. This needed to be fixed.
Flailing her arms, she babbled, “Wait! I didn’t say that! I said- um-” Marinette noticed her tear stains that were now on his brand name overshirt. “Oh, no! I got your shirt all gross! I can fix that! I think. Your dad would definitely hate me if he knew I did that and that would probably be the third worst thing I managed to do today.”
She wasn’t supposed to let him know she was Ladybug! Oh no, no, no! What was she even doing, trying to tease Adrien like that! She probably gave him a heart attack and that wouldn’t be good because she needed her other half!
Adrien grabbed her by both her arms to steady her. “Marinette, I can hear you overthinking.”
The feel of his hands steadying her snapped her out of her spiraling thoughts. She looked up at her crime-fighting, superhero partner, who was also her best friend. Who was also her crush. This was going to take some getting used to.
“Um. Hi?” Marinette squeaked out nervously.
“Well, the cat’s out of the bag, huh?” Tikki giggled. The nervous tension surrounding the kids shattered.
Marinette jumped at Tikki’s unexpected disruption, bashing her forehead right into Adrien’s nose. Adrien stumbled back a few steps covering his nose. Marinette held her forehead, “Owwwww,” she groaned.
“Tikki, not you too!” Plagg whined, floating out of his chosen’s bag. “I hear enough of those cat puns from Adrien!”
And now their kwamis were joking at their expense. Marinette looked up and noticed Adrien holding his nose.
“Oh, no! Are you okay? I’m sorry!” Marinette asked, mortified, and immediately forgetting her own pain. She leaned in close to Adrien's nose, checking the damage she’d done. She gently tugged his hand away so she could get a better look. The fact that Adrien’s face started flushing beet-red as she kept looking at him was barely something she noticed.
In the middle of her scrutiny, Marinette murmured, “Clumsy Marinette strikes again.”
“I don’t mind. I fall for you every day,” Adrien blurted out.
Marinette’s entire face blazed red. Just when her nerves were calming, they got kicked right back into overdrive.
“You! I— Uh— Timing! No! Bad Kitty!” Marinette stuttered out, shoving his face away and staring at whatever was not his face. Was she ever going to be coherent again?
Adrien smirked, though it was really closer to a smile, and teased, “Arguably, your confession had worse timing.”
“My wha—?!” Marinette replayed what happened in her head. She did confess. Her timing was definitely worse.
“You weren’t supposed to hear that!” she yelped.
“But, you were talking to me!” he protested.
“You were talking about dating yourself!”
“No, I wasn’t!”
Marinette looked Adrien straight in the eyes. “Adrien, you went on and on about how dateable you are, and you’re the one who said ‘date’ in the first place! What was I supposed to think?”
Adrien threw his hands up. “I don’t know! I didn’t think anything through!”
“Me neither!” Marinette did a wonderful impression of an upside-down J with her body, letting her arms dangle as she stared at the floor.
There was silence as the pair processed everything that just happened. They looked away from each other, both trying to hide their embarrassment at how badly they messed up.
“When did you figure it out?” Adrien was the first to break the silence. “That I’m Chat Noir,” he clarified.
Marinette straightened up. This was something she could handle. She could answer this question clearly! “Oh, that? Well, I was almost home after the akuma attack when I remembered that I left my bag and homework here. Then, I ran all the way back here because I just detransformed and that wouldn’t be fair for Tikki to transform me again after all that. So, I walked in here and saw you detransform. I thought I was seeing things, but then I definitely heard Plagg complaining about wanting cheese—" Marinette gasped. "That’s why you always smell like cheese! It’s Plagg!”
Maybe not as clear as she thought.
“I take offense to that for the sake of the cheese!” Plagg protested.
Tikki countered with a teasing giggle, “Well, I do call you Stinky Sock for a reason!”
The kwamis chattered away, flitting around each other, and poking fun.
Marinette watched the kwamis. The two of them were pretty cute around each other. They were also very good at keeping her attention away from the present situation.
“Does this mean you’ll be my girlfriend?”Adrien asked, breaking through her distraction.
Marinette stared, wide-eyed at Adrien. “I— Wha—? Really?”
The smile Adrien gave her nearly stopped her heart. It was the smile she saw on pictures of Chat Noir when Ladybug’s back was turned. It was the smile Adrien gave Marinette. “Of course! I’ve loved you for as long as I’ve known you! You’re the love of my life.”
“Ack! Adrien! You can’t just say things like that!” Marinette sputtered out. She felt her cheeks heat up bright red.
“But, I’ve been telling you that for years. Why can’t I announce my love to you and anyone who will listen? What changed?” Adrien pouted.
Marinette whined into her hands, “Because now I know it’s you!”
After a moment, Marinette peeked through her fingers at Adrien. He looked deep in thought.
He suddenly gasped, then looked at Marinette, excitement glittering in his eyes. “Because you love me! I’m the other boy!”
Marinette couldn’t help but giggle through her hands. He was so cute when he was excited. “Yes.”
“Is that ‘yes’ to being my girlfriend or—”
“Both!”
Chapter 1
Marinette had an awful week. A week full of Marinette we need this, Marinette can you make this?, Marinette plan this, Marinette schedule this , Marinette fix this and etc. And when she'd say no or that she's busy they call her lazy and petty. And this is just her so called classmates and miss bustier did nothing to help her and just said to do it.
Oh and let's not forget the constant bullying and abuse they do outside of school and the constant taunts of lie la and the dismissive looks Adrian give her when ever she disagree with him on something.
She can' t take this anymore . She's exhausted mentally and physically and this is affecting not only on school but on ladybug most fight's she had with akuma's last only minutes now its almost an hour which is bad and its taking a toll on her.
She needs this to stop , she needed a plan. A plan to stop all this ,a plan to finally give her the peace and relaxation she so deserves not only for her insanity but also for her future.
While Marinette ponders on tikki is furious ,so mad that she's wishing someone's death! Which is not like her, she's the type that believes that everyone deserves a second chance to redeem themselves. The caring, loving and forgiving kwamii never gets truly mad at anything is now bloody red from thinking of how everyone treats her chosen to the point that she readily helps her chosen on her plan and a wicked plan it was.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The 2 of them finalized there plan until they saw the sun rises and the hurried foot step of her parents preparing for the morning rush of the bakery.
"Well tikki if we need this plan to succeed i need a lot of money, time and patients. Which the first 2 don't have"
"yes , we do!"
"What?? Where ?? When? How??"
" Marinette did you forget I'm the goddess of creation, i can just create some money for you easy peasy" . As tikki was getting ready to create money out of thin air.
"Tikki no!!! This is wrong and we don't know how long its gonna last and how much energy your gonna use and the money we need isn't small you know! And most of all this is ILLEGAL!"
"Then what are we gonna do??"
"How about you make me mini camera with Hd quality lenses and audio?"
"Sure Marinette?! I can do that, how many do you need??"
"Just 2 and make it look like my hair tie???"
Just as Marinette orders 2 identical hair tie's appears in thin air that looks the same as her old one's . Without any hesitation she opens it and saws a mini camera in side with 2tb (terabyte) SD card each inside. With that she gets ready for the day and went down stairs with a new hair tie and confidence .
Marinette left the bakery with no one noticing her and hurriedly walk to school. while she was almost at the top of the stairs.
"How could you!" Alya screamed at her " you were supposed to babysit my sister last night so Nino and I can have a date!!"
Marinette raised her eyebrow "Babysit? How can i babysit when no one told me to and I was busy"
"What can you be busy of? You don't do anything special and you have a lot of free time and most of all I'm your best friend and friends have each others back !!"
"Bestfriend so it means i have to do your job??"
"Yes! And where's the interview with ladybug you promised me? Its been weeks all ready and I don't have anything new about ladybug."
"First of all I didn't promise you anything second why don't you just ask Lila about the interview she's ladybug's best friend I'm sure she'd love to help you"
"Oh that's right ill just ask her at least she'll help me unlike somebody i know" with that she walks inside looking for Lila.
*sign* Marinette slowly but surely walks to the classroom and sat on her sit, puts her head down and fallen asleep.
*Rings*
Lunch break its lunch break and no one even notice Marinette was sleeping alone at the back . Slowly Marinette opens her eyes and walks out of the classroom and see's most of her classmates surrounding Liela and telling a new tall tale about who knows what. At this point she doesn't care anymore.
She walked to the vacant table and starts eating her croissant.
"Yes, damiboo loves me so much that he even bought me this beautiful bracelet, i told him not to buy me this but he insisted on it so who am i to say no hahahaha" everyone started looking at her bracelet in awe.
" ahhh Lila this is beautiful and is this damiboo your talking about is Damián Wayne right?" Alya ask with twinkle in her eyes
"Aw yes but please don't tell anyone this is suppose to be a secret we don't want people getting the wrong idea"
"That's so sweet ,where did you meet Lila" rose said sweetly
"We are childhood friends I've know each other since we were 6 yrs. His family just adores me and practically wanted me to just move in with them but my mom said we were to young so she'll have to keep me for the time being"
"Awwww...that so romantic I wish I have that" rose send with hearts in her eyes
While everybody flocks on Liela there's 3 people looking at the group in disbelieve. And the 3 would be Marinette, Chloe and Adrien all 3 of them knows with one look that the bracelet is fake and by the looks of it very cheap mostly likely a fashion jewelry.
" I cant believe people actually believes utterly ridiculous "chloe said seriously
Marinette looks up from her table and saw Chloe approaching her and sitting down at the table right next to her.
"What are you doing here Chloe"
" I know I'm grade a bitch but i can't stand stupid people i mean look at it with just one glance you would know that bracelet is fake and it's not even that beautiful i just don't get why their flocking at her. And i rather be here with you than hear another ridiculously story about who knows what"
"You and me both Chloe"
"So are you going to exposure or what"
"Yes of course I just need time and help"
" I'll help you in one condition you need to sign the contract to work in my mother's company ezpz right a win-win for both of us"
Marinette raised eyebrow "Joking right! Why on earth would you want me to work with your mother, do you know what that means ha Chloe. It means will be together a lot more than usual"
"Do you think I'm stupid? Of course I know that and I think its better actually. Your a dork who know fashion has talents ,hates liars and my mother likes you. And unlike those stupid and so called friends of ours I know who is better and real people and most of all you never gave up and loyal and that's hard to find"
"What about Sabrina?"
"She's was loyal to me of course then she suddenly believes everything Liela said and you know the rest"
"So all I need is to sign the contract and you'd help me?"
"Yup"
Marinette ponders a bit "Deal! As long as you are not allowed to call me anymore weird and awful nickname ,no more mocking, no more trash talk, be your real self with me and I have to read the contract first" and I reach my hand to her for her to shake
"Deal, so later after school come with me to the hotel" Chloe said with a real smile plaster on her face
While the 2 of them have a heart to heart talk someone's watching them from a far with a confused face but he dismissed it and just eat with his friends while trying to listen to what everyone's saying. This is for the better and when Marinette finally sees what he means everything will be back to normal and everyone's gonna be happy again. With that thought he had a funny weird smile on his face imagining his perfect world while plagg's busy trying to contact tikki or ladybug.
When lunch is over everybody's going back to their classroom. Marinette sits at the back without even giving a glance at her classmates then Chloe sits next to her and giving her a small smile. Everyone's shock of what just happened then just gossip with each other in hush tones about how weird its is which is still heard by Marinette and Chloe. Which they just ignore.
The class end everyone's starts packing there things then Alya stomps her way to the back of the class
"You!!! What do you think your doing?" She points aggressively at Marinette with a fierce glare.
"I'm packing my things"
"Don't be pretend you don't know! you threatened Lila in the bathroom"
"Why would I do that and when did I do that?"
"Your just a jealous bitch you know that ,Lila never did anything to you and you just can't stand that's she's more cooler than you"
"Alya you didn't answer me when did I threatened her?"
"At lunch, Lila said so!"
Marinette looks at Alya disbelievingly " How can a threatened her when you guys where with her all the time??"
"Are you calling Lila a liar?"
"No I'm telling you to use your head. Come on Chloe lets go" just before there leaving
"And why the hell are you hanging out with Chloe? Don't you remember your sworn enemies and don't you there bail on me again you are babysitting my sisters today!"
Marinette looked directly into her eyes then said "she is my friend and I'm not your slave so get away from me"
Alya was taken by surprise by the sudden coldness of Marinette eyes "No she's not and I'm your best friend "
"Are you really?"
"Yes !!"
"Then tell me when was the last time you called me or texted me?"
Alya smiled and directly opens her phone and looked ........" last night! I texted you multiple times you didn't answer me"
"Try calling me again"
Alya was skeptical but called her anyway
"Sorry the number you have dialed is invalid please try again"
Everyone was stunned at what the phone said. Alya called again and the same thing happened ,automatically the other students followed suite and called Marinette but the same result . Adrien tried to but no luck.
"If you are really my friend you would know that my phone brooked 3 weeks ago so would you excuse as we have some business to attend to"
With that both Chloe and Marinette left the classroom with their stunned classmates. before they even walk out of school Adrien stopped them
"That wasn't nice of you, I'm disappointed in you Marinette you are our everyday ladybug your supposed to make everyone feel safe and happy that's your job and it is your job to keep our classroom in order. didn't we already discussed this Lila is a liar but she never hurts anybody. you need to get your priorities straight do you want Lila to be akumatized again. I know you you are better than that"
While Adrian was taking he had forgotten that Chloe was their with them listening to every word he said.
"You knew and you didn't do or said anything at all you just let that slimy, ungrateful, psychopath wag her disgusting tongue about this and that and creating rumors tall tales about Marinette that isn't true and would most likely end her career in the future . don't you know the meaning of slander? or toxic friends?, abuse?. because as Marinette had said just now she's not anybody's slave she has her own life she can fucking do whatever she wants to do and you nor anybody in that classroom can say anything about it capisce.... so if I were you I would get my head out of my ass and wake up from that fantasy of yours because this is the real world …. come on Marinette we're leaving"
Chloe grabs Marinette's hand then pulled her into the limousine while leaving a stunned Adrien at the top of the stairs.
In the limousine:
"Thank you"
"No problem"
"Are you ok? I thought you like him?"
"I did but that was a long time ago . You?"
"Same"
Both *sign*
"At least know I have a really friend"
"Friend? You want to be friend's with me?"
"Yes and I already forgave you a long time ago so friends?"
"Friends... so tell me about that plan of yours" smiling evilly
While the 2 talk's Jean Chloe's butler smile at them and thanks the heavens above that now his mistress has a real friend and maybe she'll help her mend the rift between the mother and daughter.

Can I Steal You for a Second? CH4
Summary: Adrien is forced to participate in a new dating show, but becomes more excited when Ladybug says she’ll participate as her civilian self.
AKA: AU where Adrien doesn’t know Marinette, the superheroes are 22 and Gabriel is mean and ruthless but not Hawkmoth.
Read on AO3
Chapter 4
Adrien was in bed, nervously staring at his ceiling. Today was the day that 30 women would show up to the mansion. They would meet each other and be put in their Gabriel-brand dresses and then given time to do hair and make-up while at a warehouse downtown. Then, they would be moved and sent to meet him one by one in a limo and would participate in a cocktail party. Finally, he would have to cut the pool of girls down from 30 to 22. No matter which way Adrien looked at it, it was going to be a long day.
But Ladybug will be there. That was the only thought that got him out of bed when the producer assigned to moving Adrien from place to place as the show went along (He considered her to be the TV version of Natalie, but he still hadn’t caught her name, so in his head he called her the Mini-Natalie) had begun calling at his door for him to get up. Today consisted of trying to memorize the names and pictures of the girls, hair and make-up, doing interviews about how he feels pre-meetings, and more hair and make-up before the girls began showing up at exactly nightfall. But, there was a ray of sunshine at the end of this tunnel, and it was covered in polka dots.
Adrien put on some acceptable clothes, brushed his teeth and his hair, and just barely remembered to grab Plagg from his pillow before he was rushed to a studio with a bagel in his mouth. They planned on taking videos of him doing natural things in his life, but they had set it all up in a studio so it would be just right. He felt anything but natural posing and walking around the fake sidewalk and scenery.
After he had finished with those, they moved him to a grey screen-covered area where Adrien was to do various poses with a long-stemmed rose. He felt even more awkward doing these shots than he had doing the “natural posing” earlier. They made him smile really bright and act like he was “in love.” Thankfully, all he had to do was think of Ladybug and finding out her identity and he then had the perfect look for these shots down.
They also made him work out with weights for about an hour while filming the whole thing. This wasn’t too terrible as his Father made him do similar things now that he was out of high school in order for him to keep his body shape. (If only he knew about his runs as Chat Noir, the gym workouts would be unnecessary) Though normally he did all of his workouts with a shirt on. Either that or a skin-tight leather suit. Then, and honestly the most embarrassing of all, they took a large number of shots of Adrien showering. Why, the world needed to see Adrien shirtless with water running through his hair and down his chest he literally had no idea. Thankfully he was allowed to wear swim trunks, so as to not be too exposed. But, his many years of modeling had taught Adrien never to argue with the director and he figured that applied in this situation as well.
Once the B-roll shots were taken, Adrien was whisked away for hair and make-up and another, more formal outfit for the interviews. They asked him too many questions and he just had to keep acting excited about everything that was going on. Some of the questions were just too personal or sounded funny, but Plagg was having a blast silently laughing at what Adrien was saying. Occasionally, Adrien would “stretch” and slap his pocket where Plagg was hiding. He was rewarded with a squeal and some silence for about 5 minutes before Plagg would start up again.
He was coached to be honest about some things, so when they asked about the first Rose Ceremony tonight and if he was nervous, he had no shame in saying absolutely. He cited possibly not being able to get a feel for every girl tonight as well as having to remember their names as the reason for his nervousness. Although those were true, he was mostly worried that his Lady would slip past his notice and be cut before he could figure out it was her. His only saving grace was that tomorrow was Sunday, so it wouldn’t take long for him to discover his mistake.
The questions never seemed to end, and when he asked why there were so many, the director explained that since they had to make a ton of promotional videos to get the word about the show out, as well as fill in stuff for the first episode, they had to have an abundance of material. That, at least, made sense to Adrien. He tried to play up to the camera as much as he could, but by the end he was over it.
It was almost time for dinner and then the start of the show when the director reached the final question, “In your honest opinion, Adrien, do you think this could work? Do you think you’ll be able to find love?”
Without any hesitation, Adrien’s smiled softened as he began to think about Ladybug. His response of, “I truly believe that I will meet my soulmate tonight,” earned him a handful of “awes” and sighs from the production staff. With the knowledge that he had at least given one camera-worthy response, he allowed himself to be dragged away from the set and into, yet another, stylist chair.
 ----------------------------------------------------
Marinette was feeling just as stressed as Adrien, but for a whole different reason. As soon as she arrived, she had an uneasy feeling. The limo driver had dropped her off at a warehouse building on the outskirts of town. It wasn’t a place she visited often as Ladybug, and so she was very unfamiliar with the area. Once inside, she was immediately ushered to a conference room where the girls were going to meet the people in charge of them and receive the concrete schedule for that day. When she asked about her luggage, a lady told her that it was going to be held by the workers in case she got cut tonight and needed to head straight home.
 “But don’t worry sweetheart, nothing’s going to happen to your things, but if you make it through tonight, you’ll be moved into the mansion quickly.” The lady gave Marinette a once over and then said, “And when you get sent home, we’ll take care of everything for you.” For some reason, Marinette wasn’t put at ease.
The conference room felt crowded with all thirty of the girls as well as a handful of producers. Marinette sat, looked around the room, and was whispering to Tikki underneath her breath. “I hope some of the girls who I met while we were getting interviewed and photographed made it. It’d be nice to see a familiar face. Or I should say, a familiar friendly face.” The annoying girl who made all of the other girls flock to her from the interview weekend, Lila, had been cast and Marinette was less than thrilled.
“I could scope out the room for you, Marinette!”
“No, I don’t want you to get lost in all of the chaos. I may let you do some exploring later. Thank you for offering, though.” Marinette gave Tikki a smile and reached her hand in to brush her finger against Tikki’s cheek. Tikki hugged her back and settled down in the purse. It took Tikki a couple of weeks, but eventually, she came around to the idea of Marinette participating. She even helped her stay calm when she was freaking out about packing and Alya hadn’t been called yet. Marinette was very grateful that she had Tikki throughout this process. She couldn’t imagine only having the other contestants to talk to all of the time and occasionally Adrien. Tikki’s going to help keep her sane.
An older man walked up to the front of the room and a hush quickly fell over the girls. There were a couple of other people around him, but he clearly was the one in charge, since everyone was looking at him, waiting for him to speak.
“Hello ladies. My name is Mike Fleiss, and I am the producer for the American version of The Bachelor. I’ve been asked to oversee this season to help push the show to be as successful as its counterpart over the seas.” He spoke French pretty well for an American, even if he did have an accent of sorts.
“I’m excited to see what this amazing and beautiful group of girls brings and I know that you all will jump start the Bachelor franchise very well. With that being said, we do have some “house rules” as you would call it, so let’s begin by going over those. Please pay attention, as you will be signing a piece of paper stating that you have gone over these rules with me.
The most important rule for you to remember is that you are not allowed to leave the mansion no matter what, unless you are on a date and are accompanied by Adrien or a producer. As long as you are in the show, you are our responsibility and we will not allow you to put yourself in harms way.”
One rule in and Marinette already knew she had to break it. She couldn’t not leave if an akuma attacked. And she had had promised Adrien that she would meet up with him every Sunday as Ladybug, and there was no way she was backing out of that. Thankfully, she could be sneaky and work around that one rule.
“There is also no use of phones or any other sort of technology that connects you to the outside world. There is no internet at this mansion and you are not allowed to have books of any kind except for the Bible unless preapproved by us.” Her sketch book was preapproved so she was good on that. “Please also note that music players are allowed but music can only be heard through earbuds for copyright reasons.
“Once inside the mansion, you are expected to do your own cooking, cleaning, and laundry. The mansion is already stocked with certain necessities, but if you ever need anything to cook with or you run out of something, let a producer know and we can make a trip to the store for you.” Considering Marinette did most of that for herself already, she wasn’t too worried. And maybe she could make friends by cooking some stuff for others too, so that could be fun.
 “Also, today and the day we shoot the last episode are the only days that the studio will do your hair and make-up. Every other day, you will be required to do it. Also, if you remember, when you were interviewed you were also measured and sized. That is because every outfit that you wear during the filming of this show is going to be a Gabriel piece. Gabriel Agreste has been very kind in allowing the show to do that and his people have picked out various outfits for you to choose from for tonight. Please note that if an outfit of yours goes missing when you are cut from the show, you will be fined and a police report will be filed.”
There were murmurs at that comment. The girl sitting closest to Marinette leaned over and whispered, “Wow that’s a lot for a missing dress,” Although Marinette understood why Gabriel was doing this, it still didn’t make it fun. What designer can make money if they give their clothes away, even if his outfits are ridiculously expensive.
“Now,” Mr. Fleiss’ voice brought all of the girls to silence again and he continued once he had all of their attention. “as you probably guessed, there are going to be cameras everywhere. If someone asks you for an interview, you do not decline. Everywhere you go, a camera goes. The only place they will not follow you into is the bathroom, but they will stand outside of the door and record sounds so be aware of that.” Mr. Fleiss paused as he seemed to make sure that everything had been covered.
 “That should be everything. If you have any questions, whether about the rules or the journey, please feel free to ask.” That moment was the first time that Marinette had seen him smile and with that smile, he gestured to the people stationed to the side of the rows of girls. “We have reached the fun part. If you would do the honors gentlemen,” the men started passing out bags to the girls closest to them and working their way around the room. “All of you are receiving a gift bag provided by our generous sponsors. Inside, you will find various hair products, different types of make-up, as well as some sunscreen and a lovely padded bikini gifted by Gabriel for you to use during the filming. And yes, before you ask, you can take the bikinis home with you.”
Excited chatter broke across the room as the girls got their bags and began pulling stuff out and looking through it. Marinette looked in hers and noticed a tube of waterproof mascara, a container of highlighter, a bottle of hair shining spray, a self-tanning lotion, the tube of sunscreen and her bikini, which was a bright red color. Red was a good color for her, for obvious reasons, and the padded bra part was nice as Marinette’s chest could use a little bit of help in that area.
 “That’s really nice of them!” Tikki whispered from Marinette’s purse.
 “I’m surprised they found so many sponsors for the show since it is so new here. This is some good, quality stuff here too. And now I can say I own a Gabriel original!” Marinette let out a tiny squeal.
 “I wouldn’t be too excited about that,” Tikki said with a laugh. “There’s not that much material here to make it too much of an original!”
 “Oh hush!” Marinette scolded, though her giggles made it seem less threatening than it was intended to be.
 Mr. Fleiss clapped and called the girls to attention. “Yes, yes, very exciting, but we have one more thing to discuss. The schedule for today. In about 20 minutes, you will be dismissed in groups of 5 to go and be worked on by our stylists. Once your hair and make-up is completed, you will be guided to your assigned dressing area, where your pre-picked dresses are waiting for you to choose from. A word of advice from someone who has worked on many seasons of this show: pick this dress wisely. If it’s too gaudy, Adrien won’t be interested. If it’s too plain, he won’t remember you.
 “And speaking of remembering, tonight you will have a chance to make a first impression. When you first get out of the limo, your look is what matters. When you walk up to Adrien though, you will be expected to have a minute conversation with him. Do something or say something to make him remember you. All of these need to be approved by Victoria,” He pointed to a lady with a clipboard who was standing by the door in the back. All of the girls were so still and quiet, you could have heard a pen drop.
 “He is not going to remember your name and want to keep you around if you don’t do something to catch his attention. You will have another chance to catch his attention during the cocktail party, so you can plan something a little more elaborate for then. During the cocktail party, however, it is your responsibility to find time with Adrien. Please keep everything you do appropriate and if you need anything not available in this building, let one of us know and we’ll make it happen for tonight.”
“The first group will be called in 15 minutes,” Victoria called out before walking out the door.
 It took about a minute before the girls began chatting with everyone around them. They were all brainstorming on different ways they could make a good first impression. A girl a couple rows in front of her was explaining that she thought she could do a couple of backflips once out of the limo, she would just need to practice doing them in heels. Marinette thought that was a super cool idea and moved onto the next conversation. Everyone seemed to have an idea, no matter how out there it seemed.
 “Tikki, what do you think—”
 Before she could finish her sentence, the girl sitting directly next to Marinette, who was taller than Marinette by about 5 inches, had long blonde hair and a sweet smile, turned to her and caught her arm, preventing Marinette from conversing with Tikki.
 “Hi! It’s so nice to meet you! My name is Hanna and I’m from Camembert, France, you know like the cheese? My family are farmers and I am so excited to be here in the city. What’s your name? Where are you from? What do you think you’re going to do once you’re out of the limo?” She seemed to speak without taking a breath and Marinette mentally thanked Alya for her ability to understand what she had said.
 “Umm, hi! My name is Marinette, I’m from Paris and I don’t know just yet.” She tried not to sound too distraught about not knowing what to do, but her nervous jitters were getting the best of her.
 Hanna began to ramble about all of the amazing things she’s seen of Paris and how excited she was to meet Adrien and nervous of making a good impression, and on and on. Marinette smiled at her speaking with such excitement about being able to drive past a real shopping mall.
This girl, Hanna, seemed so innocent and cheerful and friendly and Marinette wondered how in the world she was going to fair in the competition. Especially with girls like Lila to manipulate her. In that moment, Marinette decided to befriend her and hopefully keep her out of harm’s way. Marinette stole a glance at Tikki, who gave her an approving nod and a smile.
 Hanna was currently stressing about what she was going to do tonight when Marinette interrupted her. “Hey, I’m sure everything is going to be okay! Let’s brainstorm ideas together. What do you enjoy doing? Anything we can use to make you pop?”
 Hanna talked for about 5 more minutes about all of the different things she could do, each idea worse than the last. Eventually, Marinette picked out that Hanna enjoyed singing karaoke with her family after dinner. When Marinette gently suggested that she bring a karaoke machine and sing a little to Adrien right out of the limo, Hanna jumped on the idea. She gathered Marinette in a bone-crushing hug and thanked her profusely. After letting go, she brought the idea up to Victoria, and was quickly scanning through a provided list of songs and deciding how romantic the song she sang needed to be when the first group was called.
 “Attention ladies. I need Alice, Celeste, Jeanne, Juliette, and Hanna for hair and make-up.”
 Hanna squealed and dropped her list on the ground out of excitement. Marinette quickly picked it up and passed it to her, accepting another hug from Hanna and promising to find her later today before the filming started.
 After she was off and Marinette was alone, she began brainstorming for herself. She had plenty of ideas of what she could do, each more insane than the last. At first, she thought of doing yo-yo tricks, or showing up in a red and black dress, or starting with some insane Ladybug-style tricks, but Tikki decided it was too obvious and that it wouldn’t be fair for the other girls if Adrien found out tonight, right off the bat. Thankfully Tikki had vetoed the idea, because she heard of another contestant who was doing that same thing. Apparently, it had gotten out that Adrien was a fan of Ladybug, so everyone from France (there were a couple of Swedish girls, one from Belgium, and of course, the Italian model, Lila) jumped at the opportunity to impress him using the super-heroine as a starting point.
 Soon, she was out of ideas and Marinette needed an idea that would make her stand out. She was trying not to be bitter about coming up with no ideas. She had an advantage over the others, and yet she couldn’t think of anything that would be good enough for her to do. What did she know that her Kitty loved that could blow him out of the water without fully giving away her identity?
 She was feeling helpless and stupid and annoyed when she overheard a conversation from some other contestants, one of whom was also having trouble coming up with something creative.
 “Just use your personality! If everyone else is doing something crazy as soon as they see him, be the one normal girl he talks to.”
 Marinette jerked her head up. Personality. She knew all about Adrien’s personality, or really, the personality he displayed as Chat. He claimed that Chat was his true personality, not the stuffy one his father made him have in his presence. Suddenly, she was so overcome with an idea, she was surprised it took her so long to think of it. It was brilliant and memorable and exactly something that her Kitty would love to hear tonight. A deep smile spread across her face as she ran to line up in front of Victoria, who was getting ready to call the next group. She wasn’t exactly going to be her normal, Ladybug self, but she was going to knock Adrien off of his feet.
 ----------------------------------------------------
Forty-five minutes later and Marinette’s group, the last one, was being called. She was rushed to a stylist chair where people began to swarm around her, grabbing her hair or moving her face in different directions. By the time they stepped away, Marinette almost didn’t recognize herself in the mirror. Her hair was loose and styled with soft curls with an intricate braid that hid her bangs. Her make-up was well-done and highlighted all of the important features.
She was then moved to a changing room that she shared with the other girls in her style group. Once she found the dress rack with her name on it, she began flipping through, looking for the perfect color and style dress. She finally found one that wouldn’t bring attention to her small chest but would make her curves stand out. And it was the exact color of her eyes, which would make them pop.
 Soon she was sitting at a table with all of the other girls, who looked just as beautiful as she did, and chattering with Hanna about tonight. Once all of Marinette’s group sat down, they were called to attention and given the piece of paper for them to sign stating that they had heard and agree to follow the rules of the House. They also had to put when they were expecting their next period, which startled Marinette. Thankfully, she wasn’t the only one, but she did as she was asked.
They were then given the opportunity to eat and after about 30 minutes, Victoria was calling the girls and putting them in the order that they would appear before Adrien. They would ride to the mansion in groups, then wait their turns as the limo brought each girl individually to see Adrien. The girls who had non-limo entrances (one girl was riding in on a horse) would be instructed when it would be their turn to walk (or ride) in. Otherwise, the limo drivers were in charge of the timing.
Marinette, who was stationed towards the middle, right behind Hanna and in front of a girl named Lucie, was excited and yet nervous. Tikki had to hide in her bra since no bags were allowed in the mansion the first day. Although it was kind of awkward for both of them, Marinette was happy to have Tikki so close, as it would be easier to talk to her as the night went along. And she had a feeling they would have lots to talk about.
 Soon the first set of girls were being put in their limo and driven to the mansion. In about an hour, Marinette would be face-to-face with the man of her dreams.
 ----------------------------------------------------
Adrien suddenly couldn’t breath and his hands were all sweaty as his limo was driven to the mansion where the girls he was going to date would be living. Mini-Natalie was in the car with him and was instructing him what would happen as they drove up.
“You will get out of the car and will be recorded. So please be aware of what you say and how you react. Chris will meet you and will chat with you about tonight, and then the first girl will appear. Chris will tell you when. Follow his lead, he knows what he is doing.”
Chris Harrison was the host for the American version and Adrien had met him a couple of times. He seemed like a nice guy, but it was weird that all this man did for a living was watch people date each other and make occasional comments. They had Alec, the normal reality show host for most of Paris’s entertainment, shadowing him, but they wanted the first season to have an experienced host so it was more of a smooth time filming. Adrien was just grateful to have someone who understood the show well enough to help guide him through this rollercoaster.
The limo pulled to a stop and Mini-Natalie, shooed him out. He stepped out and was greeted by really bright lights in front of this gorgeous mansion. It had to be at least 3 floors and had a jaw-dropping look to it. No wonder they picked this to be the location for the show.
 “Evening Adrien,” Chris greeted him at the place where the concrete turned from driveway to sidewalk. Adrien could see a camera filming him as he walked to shake Chris’ hand. “How are you feeling?”
 “I’m a little excited and nervous,” Adrien responded.
“That’s completely normal. Tonight’s going to be a lot. You’re going to meet a lot of girls. Do you believe you’ll be able to find the one through this journey?”
 “Honestly Chris I do. I’m excited to see what tonight brings and hopefully I can make a good first impression.”
 Chris laughed at that, “I believe that’s what the girls will be hoping too.” He stuck his hand out for another handshake and Adrien took it as Chris said, “Good luck tonight, the first limo is coming around the corner.”
“Thank you.” Adrien looked toward the end of the driveway and did indeed see a limo poking out.
The cameras were switched off and Mini-Natalie, who had exited the limo after the cameras had followed Adrien, began positioning him on the sidewalk. Once he was set and Mini-Natalie walked away to make sure he looked good in the cameras, Adrien took a moment to be excited. He was going to meet his lady tonight, even if he didn’t know which one she was going to be.
Once it had been decided that Adrien looked good, they motioned the first limo to approach the house. Plagg, who had been asleep in Adrien’s pocket, woke up from his nap, claiming that he didn’t want to miss anything that the girls did or said tonight. Adrien rolled his eyes at that.
“Well if you’re going to be awake then know, no comments, no matter what the girls say or do, you don’t get to say a word. We’ll have time for your commentary later,” At that, Plagg opened his mouth to protest, but was cut-off when the first limo came to a stop in front of the house and the door clicked open.

My notes to Ezras and Veronikas blind-reaction video
I’ve watched this video like at least 3 times today because honestly, Ezra is comedy gold and a whole ass mood. Also I wanted to get as much information out of their reactions as possible and at the same time try to figure out what episode we are dealing with here. My guess is “Kwami Buster” what do you think?
But now for my notes. Get something to eat and drink I’ve got 4 whole pages ^^
Ezra just dead ass comfirmed Mark + Nathanael as canon, nice!
episode starts in a location we’ve already been in s1 but rarely and we havent discovered it much so my guess is this:
Tumblr media
The only time an akuma attack took place in there was in “Mr. Pigeon” and it rarely came up in other episodes.
a “her” is possibly up to something
a “she” (It didnt seem to be the same person) has alot to speak in this episode but normally doesnt speal much -> Ezra; she kinda does -> Veronika
A character has an ongoing theme, it happenes over and over (progression in the season/s). They dont know wjere the creators will go with it but Ezra theorizes it’ll be a massive sacifice. ( I think they are talking about Marinette here, who will maybe see something like Adrien and Kagami together and gets sad over it again. Since she will give up her love for him in s3 finale I find this more than likely). Also Veronika said first she cant imagine it being super sad and then mentioned Marinette slightly with “Like, Ladybug’s...” but then cuts off and agrees with Ezra that “it could be very sad” because Ezra said that he thinks itll be a massive Sacrifice because the show doesnt shy away from real emotions/feeling, espacially love and passion.
something new came up that teaches us about the term all of season 3 has been dealing with. We havent seen it yet, but its setting up why “they” happen. (No idea on this one)
something completely different and exciting came up (They are MARELING!) “Its beautiful!” “This is gorgeous!”. Never done before and something slightly origin story like (My bets are that this is a continuation of Master Fus backstory in “The collector” and its done kinda in the way of his painting like flashback pics
Tumblr media
A “him” is in it and they are very excited about it (could be younger Fu but it could be anyone, really)
The voice actor whos telling the tale (another reason why I think its Fus backstory) is gonnabe very very busy
the whole sequence is going on for a while
Huge responsibility for Marinette (also another reason for the Backstory. I think this would be the episode he will start actually making Marinette a guradian of the Miraculous and therefore trusts her with even more of his backstory and what happened in the past
Veronika feels for a character alot of other people start to feel for too. She calls the person “missunderstood” (I think its Natahlie)
One story line Ezra knows very little about came up next and Veronika wonders if it will come up again “at the end of recordings” (so the Finale) (I thinks its the storyline of what happened to Emilie)
Very funny Adrien and Plagg moment that has alot of Fanart already -> its cute
right afterwards something “very different” happened and Ezra was SHOOK AF
A “hat thing” came up several times in the whole episode. Its gonna need a voice actor, its new to the story but not a character per se. “Its like a significant character in another characters being” (wtf??)
Once again something “very different” happened and Ezra is delighted and shook part 2
“look at its/his mouth” followed immediatly by a little conversation about hawkmoth winning and that it becomes more and more possible by every passing episode
“Sweet Plagg” Plagg either being normally cute or adorable or hes sweet and sensitive in a bad situation (ITs so THE laTER ONE YALL!!!)
SOMETHING HAPPENED! Ezra was so fucking SHOOK PART 3 that they repeated his high pitched “WHAT???!!?!??!?!?” three times!
Veronika: “How can they do that though! :D”
Ezra: “NOOOOOO WAY!!!!! (°ロ°)
Veronika: “What are they gonna do? :D”
Ezra: “There he goes! D:”
She was smiling and so excited and he dead ass sat beside her this close to having a mental breakdown (like I said this glorious man was a whole ass mood this entire video)
It seems something so massive happened that Ezra yelled: “The series is over! How can we have a Series if THAT happened? We dont have a Series if THAT. JUST. HAPPENED!!!!”
The only thing massive enough to end the series is Hm getting the ultimate power in one way or another. (everything else from reveal to betrayal and death is just an obstical to overcome in the plot, but Hm getting the ultimate power is presented to us as instand game over!) And with the little context we got from them from just moments before it seems to actually fit?? WTF??? In the episode I’m trying to put together with the context here it seemes that through Kwami buster Hawkmoth has got both Plagg and Tikki and was able to power up through them without getting the ultimate power just yet because for that he needs the jewellery to channel the powers. So I guess now Hm would only need Lbs and Cns empty jewellery so he cant combine them and game over.
Both Veronika and Ezra are just seriously loosing it (but most of all him)
“look how giant it is!” “And much bigger!” implying that we say whatever they talk about smaller before (for some reason my mind immediatly went to the giant butterly Hawkmoth head in the “origins”)
They are confused about how something (important) works
Something is there that we have seen in another episode before (1 Episode? Not sure but it has to be something rarely seen) + they are confused by it
something hilarious happened
a new ship can be merged in this episode (Maybe Marinette and Adrien with other Miraculous’? Maybe this is where we’ll get Dragonbug and Snake Noir because at some point later in the episode they would have to get Tikki and Plagg back making DB and SN possible)
The puns (in english) are WILD
Someone is being very courageous
it seems to feel like a classic Ml episode but with so many new elements. Not something we’ve seen before and I believe them! :D)
Ezra screams Part 8 + “That thing is dangerous!”
“How are they gonna- (stop him/it/whatever?)” <- Veronika
“How are they gonna, THEY DONT HAVE A WAY!” <- Ezra
Ezra screams part 9
Ezra gets to do something in the episode and I dunno what
“Thats when that happpens??” -> Veronika
“He wants that!” -> Ezra
A character we have seen more of this season is in this episode too
they fucking CLAPPED saying “finally, yes!” but it seems to be about something commen because Veronika seems to do it every time she wrapps up an episode
Adriens fucking parfume ad on a bench and neither of them remeber the words (SHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAME)
Hawkmoth moment + hilarious Hawky impression by Ezra saying “Ladybug and Cat Noir”
Hm and probably Lb and Cn are inside it/something
There is a weird noise but is has a purpose
a thing is “hUngry”
Ezra and Veronika a little shook part 10
“Thats so sad! :D” -> Veronika (I fucking love that woman xD)
“Dont do it! D:” -> Ezra concerned af
But “he” wont do it. Veronika and Ezra are relieved
Both doing Cataclysm impressions
Ezra being our very own Ladybug and being very passionate about her catchphrase lines (”Miraculous LadybuuuUUUUUUUUUUUUUUG!!          (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧*:・゚✧ )
THEY POUND IT! :D
He asks her if she knows a character near the end (she does) so I’m taking from that that there is an important new character coming up in future
huge episode for 3 characters
Ezra repeats, one plagg moment was adorable
SHOOK PART 11
“Thats a huge reveal!” <- Ezra. “Unless he takes it back or she refuses" (my bets are on Gabriel revealing himself to be Hawkmoth to Tomoe. The contract they made in the beginning of the season, their growing partnership and some of Tomoes words in “Ikari Gozen” make me highly suspicious for what the future holds. Her knowing him to be Hawkmoth and that their partnership turns out to be more twisted than we though wouldnt surprise me, if anthing i would be PUMPED for it!)
It’ll (probably)be a huge thing in s4
something happened that reminded Ezra of karate kid
someone is in a disguise and Veronika laughs
Cliffhanger that Ezra describs as “dark”
no classroom episode, no ther students. “This was like to the heart of the matter of the miraculous powers and hat they can do and finding out things that we have no idea they could do and it opens up the lens and shows you more of this world and how dark it CAN be!” <- Ezra
