ITHGULEOIR
now with stunning adopts made by stardog #158127!
ithguleoir is an ancient sea leviathan who hails from the appropriately named leviathan trench but now likes to roam the shallows just off the coast of the clan's territory~ though he occasionally becomes a problem because he often reshapes the shallows by tunneling through the sand, creating hidden hazards to ships passing through, he is mostly accepted as a friend of the clan and he'll sometimes swim with and even protect the local fishers and other water dragons when they venture into the sea! 🌊

I'm still thinking about how ashamed I was (and am) with being open about my pain because I am so young. It's so hard to feel worthy of having your pain taken seriously when the people around you insist that young bodies are always in pristine, untouched condition and that you must earn your pain through aging. Never is it considered that young people aren't lying or being a hypochondriac for expressing their pain.
Young people can be in life-altering pain. Young people can have debilitating pain. It doesn't matter what age it happens because pain doesn't discriminate. Complaining about pain and doing things to prevent needless pain aren't something you have to "earn" through aging.
If you want young people to be in less or lesser pain, then encourage them to do whatever they can to minimize it. Don't downplay what they're experiencing. Not everything is a lie, not every experience that is different than yours is exaggeration or deceit.

What I really appreciate about WOE.BEGONE is how you can follow the plot threads of how one thing leads into another.
Instead of sitting through several filler episodes or waiting for the background plot to become relevant, you can clearly see how each seasons connects.
Mikey goes to OVER, he meets Hunter and Edgar, he kills Hunter, he ends up at the Flinchite Compound, he gets kidnapped, he meets Mike and Michael, he returns to OVER, he starts Base, he loses Base, they fight to get Base back, Mustardseed happens, they have to deal with the OVERMikes, the Hunters take over, the timeline changes, there's a connectivity strike, the fight to get the Mikes back, the new timeline and its consequences, the struggle to escape the Compound's grip, the start of the war, the disappearance of Base, and so on.
It all flows into it each other and makes relistening so fun because you know how one thing leads to another and it makes perfect sense how you start with a guy fucking around on reddit and ends (currently) with multiple versions of Mike Walters making a convulted plan to steal a badge of Ty Betteridge so they can turn off the snow and escape the dome in the compound while the OG versions of Mike, Mikey, Michael and MW are trying to rescue Base alongside Texas!Michael and Outlaw!Ty.

kind of crazy how mike said in a moment of vulnerability and weakness that he wants to be needed and to be of use and good at something, and then a large chunk of the fandom just decided to validate all of his worst thoughts & fears and suddenly reduce him to a weak, incapable, mindless, unloved wastoid wimp that's everything his low self-esteem tells him he is and nothing like how the people in his life see him (or what the narrative itself has shown us since the very first episode). even crazier when the people that do that call themselves mike fans lol but i'm 😴😴😴

Loved seeing your thought on music the eds would listen to! Any ideas for what music tastes they might have in common?
awwww lasagna that means so much coming from the playlist goat 🐐that's a good question. i've definitely thought about it once or twice.
i love @fish-bowl-2's headcanon about edd being extremely out of the loop when it comes to music/pop culture, so i do imagine he gets a lot of his taste from eddy's recommendations. (and eddy's taste was formed by albums he found around the house, especially in his brother's room. but that's besides the point.) anyway for some gay reason, massive attack is what i picture edd and eddy enjoying together. blue lines is more eddy's taste while mezzanine is right up edd's alley - the house m.d. theme song is on there after all.
eddy song
edd song
oh and machine girl
eddy song
edd song
despite his living under a rock music wise, i do think edd would songs from many genres and nods along to most stuff eddy plays. some day i'll get around to making an eddeddy playlist and this'll be the first song
i don't even know if i'm joking at this point i'm so unwell
ed and eddy... i loved the scene you wrote in LMS when they listen to fuckin gettin jiggy wit it lmao. that pretty much sums up what i picture them listening to together: cheeky, high energy 90s music.
when eddy's having his nu metal moment i can see them going feral to limp bizkit together.
and cypress hill
ed and edd are listening to video game OSTs together
edd can zone out to the beautiful ambient music and ed likes being reminded of games he likes lol
when they have sleepovers as kids i picture all 3 eds listening to the crazy frog album (even though it came out in 2005, i don't care it is edscore)

it is so insanely frustrating for me to be the only person working who has an ounce of Disaster Thinking because it means I'm the only person who says "hey, this has a possibility of not going well, we should be ready for that" and get dismissed out of hand because I'm thinking too hard about things. And then that eventuality HAPPENS and everyone's like oh no how unfortunate. Yeah if only someone saw that coming and proposed a solution beforehand.

I love OP but I loathe the way Oda treats alcohol? Maybe I’m not seeing it but I feel like he treats characters drinking a lot as fun trait? I came from country where alcoholism is extremely prevalent and I know how it makes people suffer even if it’s just for fun? What do you think
I mean, I understand the concern and dislike for alcohol, but drinking is something very cliché and common when it comes to pirates. It's one of those traits everybody associates with the title. I actually think the drinking in OP is like, less prominent than it probably would be if they were treated as irl/common pirates.

My first time watching Glass Onion it was obvious that Miles' speeches were bullshit, but I still searched for any hidden meaning there might be.
The second time is a different experience though because every time my brain starts to search for meaning, I feel like Benoit Blanc discovering that no, there is absolutely no hidden meaning.
It's bullshit it's all nothing nothing nothing! It is just how you end up talking when everyone reacts to your self-aggrandizing word vomit like it is actually wisdom.
Also, legit, when Miles gave his stupid bullshit speech about what the word 'disruptor' means to him, I shit you not I was like holy shit am I back in business school right now?!
Miles must have given speeches like that at 100 business school graduations, goddamn.
Like, the motherfuckers really do sound like this. We didn't have any billionaires come, but we had a lot of millionaire guest speakers in my classes, and they fucking talk like that.
They all think they're rugged capitalists, but they're just glass onions!
