How do you imagine hybrids work in love and legends? We've seen elf/humans.

So there are 6 different species and aside from the mermaids, they're all compatable to have children.

I headcanon life expectancy, colouration, and the shape of facial or body features to be gradient traits, so they pretty much randomly combine between the two parents like any other child

Magical traits are probably more binary. So a fairy hybrid child could inherit the eyes, wings, and/or sparkles, or none, with no middle ground. A demon hybrid will usually inherit a faded form of the markings, but they won't always be able to transform or earn horns. Dwarf hybrids might inherit the ability to echolocate vs just having larger ears.

If two species with strong magic have a child, they're more likely to inherit magical traits (e.g. elves and fairies with strong magic vs humans and dwarves with low magic)

Considering the domains are all friendly with each other, I imagine it's fairly common to have mixed ancestry and there's no real taboo aside from the grief of lifespan differences

i think the question that this blog asks often has a totally different answer depending on whether you choose to interpret it as either:

- if [character] was a detective in the death note universe, would they catch kira?

OR

- if kira was a villain (of the week, even) in [character]'s universe, would they catch him?

for example, if the icarly crew, behaving as they do on their own show, were transposed to the DN universe and tasked with finding kira, they'd probably fail. but if light yagami was dropped into the icarly universe they'd get him for sure. after like a few episodes where he's a recurring villain in a pathetic way. because that's the logic of the icarly universe.

((This is also a good take. Sometimes, you think to yourself - if the Death Note were somehow some sort of remotely-induced alchemical attack, would Scar be able to figure it out? Would Light, the adoptive son of Grumman (and therefore adoptive uncle of Riza Hawkeye), ever come to know who Scar was until it was too late? Or would his "in" with the Amestran military to come into multiple pieces of confidential information?

And sometimes, you think to yourself - if Scar was put into the Death Note universe he is going to be so busy turning other people into ragù that Kira is just not on his radar - until his older brother, notable medical malpractitioner, is almost killed in a freak accident. Then, Kira is now on Scar's hit list. Is Light able to find out that a deep-web hitman is after him, one who is methodically tracking down everyone who knows Light? (Also, the brother wasn't actually a target, word just spreads and Scar jumped to conclusions, like he always does.)

so L/ilith challenges him to not sneeze while she induces him- which he fails at of course. he hides behind his wings when he sneezes and then tries to claim that he didn't actually sneeze at all but like. L/ilith isn't believing that shdlfkjsdlfkds

and to add insult to injury. she's using one of L/ucifer's own feathers to induce him.

@chicademartinica, I'm sticking to the light vs. dark color theory (Happy Human x Brooding Boy) that I suggested last week for Stay By My Side after watching the third episode.

But I find it interesting that Gu Bu Xia shines brighter when Jiang Chi is near him.

Because this week, Jiang Chi didn't lay next to Gu Bu Xia, and although he was still light, he lost the brightness.

Next week seems to follow along, and Jiang Chi appears to be getting lighter on the inside, figuratively and literally, as he starts to wear more white shirts under his black jackets.

Look what love can do! It makes them brighter!

they're the same character. big mickey was in his late 20s in fortezza bigg city and in his late 80s in casa tidmouth. he moved to sodor after ww2. still fit and very much kicking, though he's considering retiring.

My V's ending will always be becoming a Legend at the Afterlife since I. Do not like any of the p.hantom l.iberty endings very much nor the cast or plot of the expansion too much

I feel like the Tower ending tries too hard to be too sad. It almost feels like a punishment for the player for wanting something good for V? I didn't want my V to survive anyway but still!

But, on a selfship note, Ash and V.iktor actually break up in that ending! It's really sad and Ash is absolutely broken. Whenever V first calls after the coma, she laughs and says that she's hanging out with V.ik since she doesn't want to hit V with it all so suddenly.

Ash has her own tattoo place in the city that V visits in that ending. Ash is just so broken, even if she is trying her best to smile and tell V that she'll always be here for them.

Whenever V walks away, you hear a punch at the wall and a "FUCK!" from Ash. Hell of a time!

okay been thinking about this more but the first meeting w/ arlecchino, as I've mentioned before is literally when my harbinger's making herself breakfast in the kitchens & everything (like the first week she's at hq bc of signora -- maybe not the first day but that first week definitely). so she's not a harbinger at this point (and arle hasn't been one very long (the meeting might even be just a little after the tsaritsa grants her her title)

just imagining how that goes. like i'm not ready to meet any of the harbingers yet (signora's in charge of me meeting the others mostly) and it's early and i'm likely still disheveled somewhat - comfy clothes (if not pjs), slightly messy hair, all of that. and of course i get nervous when it's the first time i don't have the kitchens to myself at that time but i offer to make her more of the dish i'm making when she recognizes that it's a fontainian breakfast

i think there's something about her crush (however vague it is at this point) starting when I'm not looking put-together. like there'll be an official meeting with her later (like signora introduces us) where she sees me actually putting effort in, but her being attracted to that kind, imperfect state <3

some even more monty/lucy thoughts that apply to both modern au and stranger things au this time:

he was not a very good ex to have. he'd call and/or text often and repeatedly, steamroll basic boundaries, and just generally insist that his need to be with lucy was more important than her need for time and/or space.

he was definitely not above trying to scare other dudes off courting lucy, if he could. (especially in a high school setting, where the community is smaller and more contained and bullying is more common, making it easier for him to notice and single out anyone who might try to pursue her during one of their many off-again phases.)

they were almost always off-again during crunch time for any of her assignments/projects, because he liked to make it impossible for lucy to concentrate on anything but him.
