Okay, So Project Update.
Hey, it's me again. Haven't posted much the past week or so, decided I needed a short break from project work.
First of all gonna admit that I knew going into this year that I'd given myself a ton of work to do this year. I might have over-promised to a degree, not sure if I'm gonna do another "this year's plans" kind of video.
We're in July and one of the projects that I planned has been released, and I'm currently working on a side video (got one speedpaint left to do, then scripts and a few additional drawings).
At the moment, the plan for the next few videos is My Take on Ultraman (1), then Ryan and The Quest Crew (Ep1), Possibly Ultraman (Part 2) if the first part does well. Gonna try something different with the Quest Crew episode where hopefully it won't take as long to make as Fazbear Collection's Pilot did. The episode itself is gonna be much shorter, for one.
After that, I am definitely going to try getting Splatoon: Operation Rock Out! released next...Which for now is going to be simply a one-off story. (With potential for it to be extended into a few more individual "episodes", like an anthology collection, but see my note on fandom content below.)
I've promised Splatoon, so I'm gonna hopefully deliver some Splatoon (maybe early next year? Haven't got a good handle on timing yet.)
I'm not sure if I'm going to continue Fazbear Collection, maybe shelving it until I figure out the most efficient way to make my "story" videos (Got a few ideas to try for the next one). Plus I'm not super happy about how the first episode turned out. As much as I like FNAF, I've noticed with fandom stuff I tend to "cycle" through interests, and can't really "force" something when I'm currently making stuff for a different fandom.
It could make a comeback, episodes will probably just come out much more slowly since it'll be when I "rotate" back into FNAF. It might end up becoming a "casual" side thing where I make art for the AU every now and then, but don't have the pressure of spinning a full written story with it for Youtube Videos.
Gonna be honest as well, the way the FNAF fandom is currently really isn't helping my motivation to make FNAF stuff...I only really decided to make FC into a thing because my most successful videos are the FNAF-related ones, so I felt like I "need" to make FNAF videos since that's what most of my subscribers followed me for.
I think one-off stories might be the better way to handle "fandom" content (as well as the My Take On videos if I decide those work). I think at this point I want to spend a lot more time and energy on original work, after doing almost exclusively fan art for the past few years.
Honestly, I feel like it'd be better to have one "main" project, which will be original work. At least until I fully figure out the "method" to making my videos. Still having fun with it though, and hope to see you again soon with another update.

Some early art for Eaves Drop from IEYTD 2 with some developer insight by Zachary D. Coe.
Art and dev insight below, I couldn't include the speedpaint of the art but it can be found through the link.

"Finally I can post some of the stuff I’ve been working on! - Thank you all for hanging in there as I know I have not been able to post much and also because, just like the rest of the country, this has been an incredibly difficult year… and I’ve been pretty overwhelmed to say the least. - But the awesome news is, with I Expect You to Die 2 coming out this month (August 24th), I can now officially post some of my artwork! - Here’s some still shots and a time lapse video showing the progress, from painting over the Designer’s whitebox base to the final touches. - Let’s start with the paint over part - For those not familiar with the term, “paint over”, it means to take a screenshot of a white box, or 3D image, etc from the game and paint/draw right over top of it. - Paint overs are very common in the game industry, sometimes used for marketing images to advertise the game, and sometimes used so a Concept Artist can take a rough 3D object or scene and add details or explore potential ideas to push it further. It’s generally WAY faster to explore what something could look like as a concept painting than it is to model an idea in fully detailed 3D, see if it works or not for the game, and then start over again if it doesn’t work. - So first things first, for this level, Design had the base level white boxed (or roughly laid out with 3D boxes etc) to get a feel for how big the level should be, approximately where certain key objects should be placed around the player, etc. This is actually the second layout for this particular level. For a long while we had another version white boxed that was pretty different and, eventually once we got back to being able to work more on it, the team felt it needed some significant changes so it was slowly reworked into this layout - except the winding staircase, that was a huge favourite across the board, so we kept that.
- As I worked on this level I had to also keep in mind the various nuances of the character the room belongs to, and that’s where a lot of the personality came from. The messiness, the notes and blueprints, the “evidence board” style pushpins and strings connecting various blueprints and drawings, all of it was done to communicate the chaotic creativity and thought process of the (yet to be publicly revealed) character who works here. - The process video covers my progress on this from beginning to end, with lots of changes along the way from team members and Directors, so as you watch the video you’ll also see some ideas I put in partway through that I took back out later. This is where digital painting is great - you can work in layers, so if if you need to change something you can often turn off the layers for that part and draw in something else! - Stay tuned, as I can I’ll definitely try to keep posting more."

okay so i got another video essay idea BUT I SWEAR T H I S TIME i think ill manage to complete the script (yes thats what i say everyt ime fnsdjkafl) anyway
if youd like to hear more its under the cut (kirby related btw uwu)
warning its all very ramble-y
setting the bar low and keeping the tone more so to just discussing something i like so i dont get to ambitious with the analysis
so a while back i read this awesome poggers fanfic called "being a knight is easy (and so is pretending to be one) by @/azzie-tangerine
its REALLY GOOD
and ive already had plans for a potential series discussing completed novel length fanfics so it could be snazzy!!
most notably though sense its written work thatll help me to not go crazy ambitous with the anaylsis: i ussually just have SO many thoughts that its hard to write down, so im hoping that covering a written work instead of something with a visual element, will help my thoughts to be more manageable sense like, i dont have as many of those entire essays over itty bitty details stuck in my head sense i dont have as much of a grasp on the itty bitty details of the written word
like bassically, because im less savy with written work my brain wont go so absolutely primal artist instinct mode feral lmaofnsdjkalfhdsk
anyway, ill want to go over all the art and fanart the author has done and recieved and maaaaybe if i gain the confidence see if i could talk to/interview the author?? (i had the confidence to compliment them on anon but that was it nfdskja )
gsoh this post is so un structured
uuhhhh heres a link to the fic
Being a Knight is Easy! (So is Pretending to Be One) - Chapter 1 - Azzie_Tangerine - Kirby (Video Games) [Archive of Our Own]
if you read it: it would be super helpful to me if you could maybe lmk your thoughts and takeaways on it? or wanna talk about it with me more
its nice to have other peoples thoughts to bounce off of when writing a review/video essay/anaylsysis/random guy on the internet goes feral over kirby characters having emotions video
so anywayyy snfskjdfk ummm if anybody would have any video edting software recs that would be GREAT too~ (as well as its nice to know who would be willing to proof read my scripts)
okie so
currently i guess my "to do list" for starting up this idea is to reread the fic wile writing notes along the way: and joting down comments and quotes
during that ill also work on organzing my thoughts into topics/categories
i dont want to worry to much about structure, art, and the such until i have more work to show
anyhow! while im chaotically chatting i might as well kirby animation update too!!!
im having a hard time deciding where to start with the lines: at first i was gonna do a non anti-aliasing basic brush so itd be easy to color but i really wanted a bit more texture so im currently trying to get all the backgrounds lineart with that: in which ill than go along with the character animation and color whenever its most convenient too~
and sense i can heres another wip!
Tumblr media
a bit of a pause on this piece: ima try to find some lineless scenery speedpaints to give me more of an idea of how to go about with this

still in a noelle mood
this first drawing is actually a redraw of a drawing that i was making that had deleted itself when i was almost done. its not as good as the original but i still like it! its noelles halloween costumes 10 years apart (on the left is a 16 year old noelle dressed as an angel, on the right is a younger, 6 year old noelle dressed as a fairy); they arent the most creative costumes but its eh
a link to a speedpaint i made of this drawing (the quality really sucks for some reason, so i wouldnt recommend watching it, but heres the link anyways)
youtube
Tumblr media
and heres the second drawing!
i actually made the main drawing of this one awhile back but every once and awhile i would add another thing to the side. i feel like its not too bad
(the things on the side are an imposter noelle among us kill on the top left, a pretty bad headshot of noelle on the bottom left, a vauge sketch of a potential dess design on the top right, and a Thing noelle on the bottom right)

Exciting Update!
WHOOO BOY YOU GUYS I AM
I AM SO TIRED
But I'm not giving up! The reason I'm updating right now is to show you something:
Tumblr media
That's right! I'm officially 100% done with all the inks for Chapter 5! It was a marathon, but it was worth it! Really excited that I got that part done, it's the most stressful bit of comics for me, haha.
In addition, here's how far I am on the flat colors:
Tumblr media
You can see how much faster these go! I only started these a few days ago :D
That's all for now! I'm hoping this month will bring lots of productive comic work and I'll be able to continue to make progress on this! Thanks so much for reading *hugs*

hewwo sorry 2 bother you n if im not asking the right person but ive been thinking of drawing in that oldschool warriors art style using mspaint and JSpaint (recreation of the REALLY old paint program) and i was wondering if u had any tips on using the programs? i watch lots of old ms paint/paint speedpaints n the artists seem 2 b using tricks to bypass the limits of the program but idk how, like getting rid of sketches/underdrawings for example
ill just put what tricks i know from mspaint here, no clue if they would apply to jspaint but its worth a shot:
getting rid of sketches/underdrawings:
- select the whole drawing and cut it - set color 2 to the color of your sketch and color 1 to your lineart color
Tumblr media
- paste the image, while its still selected go to "select" and check this box
Tumblr media
- boom sketch should be gone (alternatively, you could also set the colors and check the box before pasting the drawing) - you can also do this to remove solid backgrounds from finished drawings so long as the background isnt a color thats already in the drawing :)
adding pixelly textures/patterns:
- draw something random or keep it blank, go to save as and go to the dropdown and click "monochrome bitmap" - play around with the bucket tool, drawing will make black lines but the bucket tool will yield neat little textures - to get color, select and copy the black and white versions, open a new canvas and paste them. you can either paintbucket the whole thing, or manually color underneath it and re-paste the lineart/texture on top
Tumblr media
- this is another way to potentially remove sketches/under drawings, as saving this way removes all color, but the other method is much quicker and easier
custom brush sizes:
- pick any brush, any size - hold ctrl and tap the + or - key on your numpad as much as you want (sorry idk how to do this without numpad)
Tumblr media
im sure theres other stuff im forgetting rn, if you have any more questions that might jog my memory lmk :3

Hi! I somehow never saw your Lego Monkie Kid artwork until now and I came across your video essay/speedpaint and I gotta ask. What are your thoughts now after the third season? I don't want to make this sound like I want you to do another video essay (you can if you want but I'm trying to not pressure you accidently) I just really wanted to hear your thoughts. Sorry, I'm kind awkward 😅
Oh hi! Thanks! No worries about the awkwardness; I'm glad you're making sure I don't feel pressured <3 Glad you enjoyed all my Lego Monkie Kid stuff, including my video essay!
Yeah, my video essay making has come to a stand-still as I work on other things, but I'm really happy about the ones I made! While I probably won't make another video, I'd be happy to write some of my thoughts on the show, as I've been keeping up with it, and have seen all of season 3 and the specials (no spoilers here to those worried).
In my original video I had only seen Season 1, and my main thesis (and title) of that video was that "Monkie Kid has Potential". I could tell that it was laying down a good groundwork and setting up for bigger things in later seasons. After having seen those later seasons, I think my main thoughts are that, it did indeed live up to that potential, and furthermore, exceeded my expectations! It took all the things that it started with, added onto itself, and wrapped itself up nicely by the end of season 3!
There are some things that I wish we got more of, and it does admittedly have a bad habit about forgetting to utilize some characters (Sandy for most of the series, Nezha in the S3 finale, Red Son for all of S2, etc). And also, while I think the pacing of the first season was really well done, it started feeling progressively rushed, especially by the time we got to the S3 finale.
But it was consistent in its action, emotion, animation, and themes, and I'm very happy and impressed with how it has turned out!
So yeah, that's my main thoughts on how the show is going. I hear that there's going to be more, perhaps? Either way, yeah, it's a fun show! And I definitely think I went from mild interest to adoration of it as a series, even going so far as to creating more artwork, and a practical novel of a fanfic, haha (check out that link if you're interested, I'm actually quite proud of it)(but also no pressure)!
Thanks for the ask and for checking out my art and video essay work! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Hello all, we’re back with another development update! This month, we are showcasing one of our newest professions, as well as sharing some news about our Patreon. Read on to find out more!
What’s New?
Mining mini-game
Patreon
Timeline update
Tumblr media
As many of you know, Lorwolf will feature a wide variety of professions that players can choose to specialize in, such as Cooking, Farming, Fishing, etc. One of our newest professions - Mining - lets players send their wolves into the deepest caves of Loria in search of rare metals and gemstones. These materials can then be smelted/crafted into valuable items to be used or traded with others!
Leveling up your mining skill allows you to delve deeper into the caves and work more efficiently. Simply equip a set of wheels to your cart and select a pickaxe and you’re ready to mine! Here’s a screenshot of the Mining page in action:
Tumblr media
Once you select a wolf and choose a location to mine, you can sit back and watch as it journeys through the caverns. A host of friendly NPCs will aid you in your mining efforts and load the ore into your cart. Once full, your wolf can push your cart back to the furnace where it will smelt your ore into bars to be used in various crafting recipes.

We’ve received some interest in reopening our Patreon as we continue to develop the game, and we’d love to hear your thoughts! In the years before our Kickstarter, we ran a Patreon campaign where we shared behind-the-scenes content and other such goodies every month. Patrons were able to get a closer look at what we were working on.
The following is a list of potential tiers we would offer, take a look:
$1 - Discord role + Invite to Patron Discord channel + Early access development updates
$5 - Previous tier + WIP sketches/mockups
$15 - Previous tier + Digital downloads
$30 - Previous tier + Behind the scenes videos + Super Supporter credit
Discord Role: Show off your support with a new title in our Discord server!
Patron Discord Channel: Access our Patron-only Discord channel to discuss the game with Alaunis and other patrons directly
Early Access Development Updates: Hear about what we’re working on before anyone else - including regular dev updates and special sneak peaks
WIP Sketches/Mockups: Get a sneak peak of our content still in development
Digital Downloads: Gain access to some of our high res wolf, companion, and background files
Behind the Scenes Videos: Every month, we will release video coverage of what we are working on - such as voiceover speedpaints, feature showcases, and gameplay footage
Super Supporter Credit: Your name will be permanently etched into a special section on our credits page. (This section will be separate from the original Patreon supporters list)
The Patreon would launch early next month, so feel free to ask questions/submit feedback in the meantime!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We are currently in Phase 4 of our development timeline which includes the setup for our eventual beta test. Right now, we are heavily focused on finishing Lorwolf’s campaign as well as adding those many quality of life touches.
Alaunis recently left her full time job in order to pursue Lorwolf full time, meaning we will be kicking development into hyperdrive! We still have an estimated release of the Beta test for the end of this year or early next year, but we will be sure to communicate any changes to you well in advance.
As always, we remain incredibly thankful for all of your support so far. Working on Lorwolf has been a dream come true, and we are so excited to share it with all of you. Please let us know if you have any questions about this update, Moonsblessings!

Can I ask…what your favorite route is in Three houses? 0 shame to admit azure moon is my favorite and I really wish Ashe or Dima or Sylvain….ok, everyone really, were all in another new route where everyone lives. Azure moon, in my mind, is one of the best routes and I really enjoyed the development of Dimitri, Sylvain, and the rest of the BL/AW/GD house in the route. I have played all the others and it’s still my fave. Ty for writing the Sylvain and Dima HCs last minute. It really warmed the heart and I enjoy reading all your content. 💙
Listen. I've played every ounce of content that FE3H has to offer, and I have some Opinions TM
I'm the kind of person who relentlessly criticizes the things I love, and I mean that in the most unflattering way possible lol like I'm a pain in the ass to watch movies with because of it. So I need you to know that when I say that FE3H disappoints me at every turn, it's only because I LOVE this game enough to be disappointed by looking at what it COULD have been. So here are my route thoughts:
(with kind of mild spoilers? But honestly not much)
Azure Moon: The best emotional gratification in the game by far. Dimitri's arc is Shakespearean and beautifully handled. Also contains a little segment I like to call "Why Are You Booing Felix He's Right"- where Felix is consistently the only person with the balls and sense to openly call out Dimitri when he's being a piss baby and everyone's like "God Felix you're so shitty and mean" and I'm like "HE'S RIGHT THOUGH." But the way the characters have real, developed chemistry with one another makes this route really easy to emotionally invest yourself in. However, you also learn next to nothing about the actual grander plot of the game in this route, which makes it feel very unsubstantial in a lot of ways.
Verdant Wind: In my opinion, the best executed overall in terms of generally accomplishing everything it set out to. In particular, I'm glad that you deal with the Agarthans in this route, since that's the only true win condition IMO. Claude is extremely charming as a point character, but his political and societal beliefs keep being briefly brought up and never really elaborated on. He keeps being made to do stupid shit (like fighting both Edie and Dimitri in that three way battle- which he WOULD NOT DO fight me about it) because the plot demands it, and that results in his character remaining a bit more shallow than it should be.
Silver Snow: More or less the same as the above, and I mostly loved it very subjectively because I love Seteth, but that's not quantifiable feedback lol. I actually personally believe that this route should have been retooled as an unlockable "good" ending, where you manage a secret alliance between Edie and the church faction (as lead by Seteth on the practical end and Byleth as a figure head) to deal with Rhea's bullshit and the Agarthan's. I have like a whole plot in my head for this, don't get me started.
Crimson Flower: Oof Crimson Flower. Ooooh, Crimson Flower. I made a half hour long speedpaint video about my feelings on this route. It promised so much and delivered so, so little. The fact that you don't actually deal with the Agarthans in-game and it's just handwaved as "oh Hubert will deal with it, don't worry, it's totally okay that we're siding with them even though they're objectively horribly evil." The fact that nothing actually ever goes wrong for Edelgard (other than the token deaths of NPCs we don't care about) and you just steamroll the continent. Edie and Huberts A support that makes me want to vomit into space. There was so much potential here, but FE3H was not prepared to deliver on it. The result is that I personally would have preferred if this were (portrayed as) just a villain route. So... I guess the answer to your question is that I like and dislike things about every route, but I can say that CF is my least favorite lol. I guess SS is my "favorite," but only because of extra Seteth screen time tbh. Overall though, FE3H really is the story of an incredible and compelling cast stuck in a tragic mess of a story lol

Did a speedpaint of my OC Alastor in his full power form.
This is based on his character back before he became fond of humans and merely saw them as sources to feed off their sanity and torment. (Before he got ‘soft’ as the other operator powered being would put it). The background is based on his home realm, which is a parallel world that was long since destroyed in the first war between Zalgo and Slenderman. Alastor did participate as a third party and eventually took over the destroyed world when Zalgo lost and Slender no longer could use the realm due to the destruction. Maybe in the future I’ll do another video telling some of the story/his participation in that.
For those unaware of my headcanons/why I called Zalgo and Slender operators (especially when MH uses that name to refer to their version):
"Operators" are just creatures that can create proxies, whether they chose to or decide against it, and hold great power. Meaning:  -Zalgo: is chaos incarnate and controls his minions, which are usually his demon/half-demon spawn. -Slenderman: takes control of select humans and uses them to do his bidding until they’re either too injured to be healed or no longer useful and disposed of. -The Operator (yep there’s 2 faceless men in this canon): has the potential to create proxies but is currently less powerful thus can only turn people against each other atm. -Alastor: can make proxies but never has and sees them as a waste of his time and energy. Lol essentially, he has a ton of god-like power and rarely uses it let alone to its full potential.

Tumblr post #3
fFor my Social Media post I will be looking at Deviant Art a website where people can submit their own art and allow people to look at it and download it. The user base has a wide variety of cultures involved. If you open Devianart.com you see many different types of work online. This correlates to the class in how we have looked at art from many cultures and how they have been affected in America. These art pieces have peoples own individual stories, desires, or experiences in them.
Tumblr media
https://www.deviantart.com/art/Night-Aura-by-Leonid-Afremov-742369729
For example this is a piece painted by Leonid Afremov who is a Russian-Israeli Jew. He was born in Israel and moved to Russia then to the USA and Finally to Mexico. This painting he made had to be inspired by something in his life. That piece of work is now being shared on this site for others to see and potentially buy.
Tumblr media
https://www.deviantart.com/art/YCH-Commission-Floaty-speedpaint-742496447
This is another piece of work that was done by tshuki, the work is done based on hentai and anime, but is in adaptation of a yin and yang relationship. In the description the author said it was based on a couple he/she knew and how it was fun to take their relationship and to be able to design something like this.
A lot of art on this site is not meant to be political. It is a site that allows artists to come together to share their art and for people to judge it on a open platform. It allows for artists from all cultures to mix ideas and grow using other techniques. It is how it relates to the class. We are looking at a Multicultural America, Artists that appreciate one another’s work on a large scale. And this doesn’t just stop in America, it is artists all over the world who can access this site and bring themselves to the table. It is a beautiful things where race and culture are only a part of the art and that is what people are being judged on, the story and the culture within the artwork.
Tumblr media
https://www.deviantart.com/art/Chapter-XIX-Iso-Onna-742491383
Here is another art piece that an artist put on Deviantart. Below is the description they put up.
Iso-onna (磯女): Iso-onna is a native yokai of Kyuushuu, mostly found near coasts or rocky beaches, and is considered as dangerous vampiric yokai. She has the upper part of attractive beautiful woman with long black matted hair in thin transparent robe or being naked and the ghost-liked (blurred or almost transparent) lower part. Similar to another relative yokai in the same area, Nure-onna (濡女), She feeds on human's blood and appears often on New Year Eve or during Obon. Even though she has inhuman strength, she prefers to use her appearance to lure victim into the sea and uses her hair to drain blood. Sometime she works together with Ushi-oni or Gyuuki (牛鬼) which also lives in the same area to trap human.
Deviantart is a place for artists to be themselves. People hardly post negative comments and help each other grow in their artwork. Right now Anime and Hentai art and comics are popular so you see a lot of that around but this social media site has grown into a place where artists can be themselves and create what they want on an open platform. It shows how far we have come where different cultures can enjoy each others work.
