oho, air you say? perhaps being able to remove the air from peoples lungs? or air pressure manipulation? maybe air based projectiles that can pierce, or air blades that can slash? or more general use, being able to fling shit around with air! Mini tornadoes or blasts of air that can knock people/things back!

i've used all of these so far 🤧 except for air pressure! that's a good one, i didn't think of that :-)

i'm trying really hard to make each path different from the other, including within the specializations, i actually have an entire document specifically for writing down potential combat moves for each specialty so i will be adding air pressure to the list.

it's definitely been... challenging writing it this way. there's only so many ways you can do this or that. but i think i've managed to keep it interesting across all choices, so it's not necessarily a direct copy-pasting of the same moves over and over again. i'm definitely expecting feedback once the update is published regarding the combat, since that was something i got a lot of criticism/feedback on previously when i first published the demo. it's definitely different this time and i hope yall will like the "new" combat, i feel like i'm more comfortable with it and actually know what direction i want to take it in.

#ive also watched an absurd amount of swordfighting videos/techniques now #my youtube definitely thinks i have a new hobby lmao #and tbh some variations DO still have the same moves #but slightly different.... lmfao #like the hunter is still always going to be the hunter and will always approach things similarly regardless #so i didn't want the differences to be super drastic necessarily #but i wanted there to be potential for replayability at least #both within specializations but also if u go from fire to alchemy i wanted it to be totally different #tho i have copy pasted a lot like. there's no other way to do it #each path still has the same foundation iykwim #but there are different outcomes and some specializations have disadvantages while others have advantages #and certain paths will have more consequences than others/different reactions from the companions #in the second half of the chapter #anyways. prayer circle i finish for a december update. here’s the drawing of her if anyone cares. they’re generally androgynous but also her gender changes based on the time of year, with autumn(this sketch)+winter being female and spring+summer being male. also also she does not care. so use whatever. with that out of the way, her ascension lore!!

to summarize it a lot, volcano erupts and winter gets bad. he unknowingly changes the fate of a doomed caravan and brings them to the city they’re headed to with zero casualties after a few life threatening experiences back to back. he ascends as a god of changed fate but is more often worshipped as a god of seasons and luck due to the circumstances of the life threatening experiences and how the caravan made it out alive despite the danger.

Thoughts on #I really liked it overall - it was meticulously researched and gave me information that I hadn't previously known about Cecily #However this often contrasts with Laynesmith's own very evident biases assumptions and conjecture #and the effect is very jarring #This becomes slightly more pronounced after 1464 and actually ridiculous after 1483.#She also suggests that Henry VI may have genuinely died of a melancholy-induced stroke like Edward IV claimed which is just...lmfao #I don't know what to say at this point lol #To be fair she does specifically note that he died shortly after Edward arrived in London and that most contemporaries believed #it was far too convenient #which is far more acknowledgement and culpability than she gives Richard III whose culpability for the 'disappearance' of his nephews is #literally never touched upon - the blame is conveniently dumped on Buckingham #honestly the whole Deal with Buckingham is so odd. dude was a political neophyte; was given a primarily ceremonial role by Edward IV #throughout his reign and was younger than Richard (who was a seasoned politician). also fungus gnats or no-see-ums have come indoors while i had the (screened) windows open down here to try to get in a little fresh air, and now I keep getting tiny bugs in my face every so often no matter what room I'm in and idk which they are bc they look so similar so idk how to get rid of them other than just keep trying to kill any that I spot in here and never open the windows again 😭

#this is why i dont open the windows ever despite the fact that I love to get fresh air in down here #and parents scoff at me when i say the reason i keep them closed is bc of bugs #well. they have nice new windows up there lmfao. the ones down here are old and the screens dont fit right and the mesh is slightly too big #so these tiny flies can get in. or little ants. or spiders and weevils and carpet beetles thru the cracks along the screen frame #i appreciate the importance of bugs in the world but i am... so tired of having them in my living space #I've put up with centipedes and earwigs as well as all the aforementioned bugs #i have been kind to them and taken them outdoors as much as i could (except for tiny flies bc. theyre different idk)#but i am just so so so tired of dealing w this all the time fjfkfl #ppl talk abt exposure therapy but I think maybe being constantly exposed to these bugs is giving me new fear of them #i cannot see a weevil outside without having my nervous system act up #i feel like im going to have a breakdown when i see centipedes outside bc it reminds me of all the times I've had to catch them inside #i dont like this :)))))#i am also so close to getting rid of all my houseplants bc im so terrified of having a fungus gnat infestation again #the last time was bc of some potatoes I'd forgotten about in a cupboard. but they also like houseplants. so ummmm #also my isopod terrarium is prime egg laying real estate for them but i taped tea bag material over the openings #so they can't get inside there again lol #idk how to calm down to sleep tonight fjdkl i am so on edge now trying to figure out how to deal w all this #pippen needs 2nd breakfast

i think w avatar in my own base... world that i draw/think. in. of. you know what i mean like the main reality to ME that i've developed the pairings would be well zuko sokka and then i can't decide if i prefer mai ty lee and azula having something weird going on where ty lee and azula have been dating for years and mai orbits them orrr suki and/or azula meeting through ty lee being in the kyoshi warriors (and then the classic mai lee) which i think would be a really fun dynamic to be honest i wonder why i haven't seen it much. anyway. yue and jet are also nebulously alive just cuz idc. i like yue katara i think that's cute even if it's still funny to steal ur brothers ex but i justify it by well as much as they were cute they truly went on like one ? date and just liked each other it just so happened to end very dramatically. it would be the same if sokka dated idk... jet ... anyway. though her and aang are still cute. mostly not like i am centring pairings and Shipping and such it's just easier to have things established just thinking things in my mind U_U i also am pondering an au to do with zuko and yue where they're friends and i'll leave it at that bc i think it's a fun idea i haven't seen around. rubs my hands together.
