oho, air you say? perhaps being able to remove the air from peoples lungs? or air pressure manipulation? maybe air based projectiles that can pierce, or air blades that can slash? or more general use, being able to fling shit around with air! Mini tornadoes or blasts of air that can knock people/things back!

i've used all of these so far 🤧 except for air pressure! that's a good one, i didn't think of that :-)

i'm trying really hard to make each path different from the other, including within the specializations, i actually have an entire document specifically for writing down potential combat moves for each specialty so i will be adding air pressure to the list.

it's definitely been... challenging writing it this way. there's only so many ways you can do this or that. but i think i've managed to keep it interesting across all choices, so it's not necessarily a direct copy-pasting of the same moves over and over again. i'm definitely expecting feedback once the update is published regarding the combat, since that was something i got a lot of criticism/feedback on previously when i first published the demo. it's definitely different this time and i hope yall will like the "new" combat, i feel like i'm more comfortable with it and actually know what direction i want to take it in.

Ohh okay so this one is kinda fun because I technically am on four counts! My legal first and middle names both came from two different people ( one a famous author, the other my great great great ( great? I think it’s 4 ) aunt. The other two counts come from chosen names! while I’m not positive how much raven counts ( chosen at 13 because of raven teen titans haha ), Alva is another name I chose for myself that came from an ancestor on my moms side

2. When was the last time you cried? 

Last week? I think? Shit’s been kinda stressful all of a sudden

3. Do you have kids?

I babysat a couple of kids for a few months when I was like 18-ish and worked a job that had a daycare room, and I absolutely adored them to the point my mom started referring to them as my kids, but I am neither a legal guardian nor still in contact since the place went out of business so I’m gonna have to answer no to that one

4. What sports do you play/have played? 

Ohh man okay i don’t think I’ve done any sports since I was like. 10 years old, max. I briefly did soccer, and then basic ballet and tap lessons; I had a couple group recitals, but never advanced past flats, and honestly did not retain even muscle memory on anything

5. Do you use sarcasm?

I can’t because I’m the kind of awkward that struggles with tone inflection and quick wit so when I try people always think I’m serious 😔 

6. What's the first thing you notice about people? 

Something that can be complimented, generally.

Like, one of the things I do as someone with a customer facing job, is actively look for things to complement people on, for a multitude of reasons. It’s def not some kind of a requirement for my position, but more just that I like to break up the basic check-out process a little by finding something that I can genuinely appreciate ( which, the more I’ve done this the wider an appreciation of people’s personal style preferences I’ve had in general ) and communicating to them I like it, which never fails to brighten up an interaction.

It’s honestly really great too, because people often like to share the story behind the things I compliment, and I love to hear those stories, so it’s a good balance I think!

7. What's your eye color? 

I’ve always been told they’re brown but I’m like 98% certain they’re actually hazel? But the definitions of hazel I see are very, well, hazy tbh, and I’m afraid to commit to being 100% certain lmao

8. Scary movies or Happy endings? 

I like both BUT the happy endings I’d really like to have a lot of toil and angst and maybe a lil tragedy first—I want that happy ending to have blood stains that are over time bleached away by sunlight, but forever imprinted onto the fabric

9. Any talents? 

Idk if I’d describe myself as talented in any manner, but that’s mostly because I prefer to think in terms of skill-set over natural talent

That said, I have never formally—or informally really, for that matter—studied gemstones, but I can recognize and name a decent number of them on sight relatively easily, and have ID’d multiple pieces of tanzanite jewelry first try ( something where every individual, all unrelated, who was wearing said jewelry have said I’m the first person to not only think it was something other than sapphire, but to also know instantly. All I can really offer as to how I know is “its just the way it is” because ig the color and shine differences aren’t as easily noticeable to everyone else? ). It’s a side effect of having a detail focused mind that I’m honestly really proud of

context: my family runs a small hobby farm, + we have our indoor pets ( only cats for indoor now ), we’ve had a variety of livestock over the years, but currently it’s just sheep and chickens for outdoor

Just a lil over 5’5” but not quite 5’6” ( no I don’t need to be that specific but the doctor commented on it last time she took my height and damn if I won’t take the small win )

Mmmmm I’m gonna automatically disqualify art just to make this slightly more challenging for myself.. probably Astronomy? Tbh I’ve never been able to wrap my head around enough math concepts to understand a lot of science formulas, so that whole portion of it didn’t quite work out for me, but I enjoyed the fuck outta reading the textbook

Oh okay this one is actually really specific, but. Making an anime / cartoon style comic and / or illustrations and maybe a variety of other artwork for NASA, no this position does not exist but I want it IMMENSELY

no, i technically named myself! i had troubles learning languages when growing up, and whenever speech therapists tried to teach me to say my birth/legal name, i kept on saying "mimi" instead, so the nickname stuck! aside from that, my other nickname kao is taken from a maplestory npc of the same name,, a character who's supposed to be the "future version" of your player character, so things keep going full circle

When was the last time you cried?

a few nights ago;; i was rewatching some satoshi kon films, millennium actress and tokyo godfathers definitely got to me esp since i'm a sap in the first place, his filmography does not hold punches when it comes to hitting emotions

I use the free software shortcut to edit my videos. I hate it & it's very slow which makes my already least favorite part of the video making, editing, even worse (:

I decided to start making videos bc 1) I saw a gap in the youtube market where people who talked about bl either did reactions or short analyses without showing their faces. 2) there were many topics that were easier to tackle in a longer video than a blog post. 3) if I were to be able to make a living off of youtube (which will not happen but wish I had known that then lol) it would solve most of my problems & allow me to combine pretty much all of my interests at once.

my videos ABSOLUTELY get taken down bc of copyright, if you look through my community page I've talked about that many times.

when that happens, I always appeal but most of the time it doesn't work, which means I spent 30+ hours MINIMUM on something that will never see the light of day (: it's in big part why I'm switching to thailand focused content instead of thai series content tbh, it was very heavy on my mental health for a hobby that takes so many hours out of me every week. not worth it.

my favorite kinds of videos to film are definitely my ranking ones or reaction ones bc they demand very little preparation & scripting and are just about me rambling for 2 hours, but my ranking ones take FOREVER to edit so on that part any non scripted video is the worst haha

the time spent on a video really depends, but usually the writing of a video takes me between 3 to 6 hours, the filming takes me 2 hours & the editing takes me a good 20 hours (funny bc I hate editing so much lmaooooo.) but some videos have only taken me 10 hours (short reactions), while others have taken me well above 50 (longer commentary ones.)

about putting out content in fandom, you're right in saying that I've basically done every kind of content LMAO. honestly the faceless one like giffing, writing fics, making fanvids, etc. is easy? like it needs to come from a drive of wanting to do it but bc your personal image isn't really attached to it, I feel like the trial & error is easier? if you wanna stop tomorrow no one will really care? but when I started making videos that demand significantly more time & that have my face clearly attached to it, that's when the doubts started creeping in. I never feel shy bc I just haven't been shy in a while, but I do feel ashamed to talk to irl people about my videos bc they aren't successful & I've invested over 2 years of my life in them so it's just kinda pathetic LMAO. but about you being shy, you can focus on the fact that it's the internet? like if you really don't want anyone to know it's your fanvids, create a new username & post them under it, bc then literally NO ONE will know it's you. to be honest it's taken me years but I've gotten rid of the notion of "cringe" and "embarrassment" out of my vocabulary. just do what makes you happy bc people will hate on you no matter what. I should really be working on the next chapter of the fic but I really don’t feel like it. 🙃 The last two weeks have been so damn stressful. Not necessarily bad, but really sucked up my time and my energy. I had to fly out of state to visit my family which is never a good or easy time; I also took two of the kittens I was fostering because my sisters are adopting them, and ngl, I miss those little fluffballs so much. 😭 One of them has taken to the new house like a fish to water, but the other is much more shy and barely came out from under the bed while I was there. I know it takes time to adjust, but it breaks my heart thinking that he may not be getting the love he needs. I’m pretty sure he’s frightened of my parents because they’re so loud and honestly, can’t blame him. The other one is literally having the time of his little life lmao.

On top of that, once I got back I had so many errands to run and some big projects to do for work just got plopped onto me. To top it all off, I took the kittens’ mama to get spayed this week, and her recovery has been slow. She developed an ulcer on her eye during the procedure, so I have to put medication on it, and she’s still really lethargic. She’s eating and going to the bathroom, otherwise I’d be really worried, but I’m going to call the vet about her tomorrow. I’ve spent way too much at the vet already, another thing that’s been stressing me out. 😓

God, I just feel like I have so much to do, and so much on my plate. I have no idea how on earth some people manage to be perfectly organized and still find time for creative projects or hobbies or self-improvement. I know I shouldn’t be too harsh on myself, life with adhd has always meant my life wasn’t going to turn out the way it’s “supposed” to, and I still struggle with being kinder to myself for not being more productive. I spend so much fucking time playing stupid games on my phone, and watching YouTube videos, and it truly feels like I’ve watched every tv show in existence (definitely haven’t but man it feels like I’ve seen a big chunk at least). I’d love to have to motivation and energy spending my free time writing, or learning a new skill. I need something to do with my hands, a physical skill/hobby, like knitting or something. Idk, I’ve always just been so bad at crafty shit, my only real talents lie in writing and singing. Feels pretty bad how little time I have for either of those things. I usually only have the bandwidth to write for a couple of hours a week, but I haven’t written more than a paragraph since I posted the last chapter. I feel like the world’s slowest fucking writer, I wish it could just be my job to write so I wouldn’t have to waste eight hours a day on extraneous bullshit lol.

hi! i saw your milgram pv translation thread and i wanted to ask a few unrelated questions about japanese if that’s okay!! i was just curious how long you’ve known japanese for. did you learn it? if so how long did it take to reach fluency? or was it your native language? i was curious because i want to start learning japanese and use it to fulfill my foreign language requirements when i go to uni. do you have any tips for a beginner who wants to learn japanese?

Ohh this is gonna be a long one, I hope you don't mind 😂

I started to dabble in it back in 2014/15, but I only got more serious about learning it around 2019 I think? I taught myself the basic grammar and the hiragana/katakana from a textbook at first and then used Duolingo later on. The majority of my vocabulary is actually stuff I've picked up while consuming JP media, though - a lot of it from different kinds of anime/manga, drama CDs, interviews, some variety shows etc. That's mainly a personal studying preference though - I have the easiest time learning languages while I'm actively doing things with them, whereas a lot of people seem to prefer going by textbooks from what I've heard. Different methods work for different people!

(The textbook I used is a German publication so I doubt it'll be much use to you, but it's this one if you're interested 🙇‍♂️)

I do have to admit that I'm not actually really fluent in the language - I understand a decent amount (especially when listening, since that's where I've got the most practice) and I can make basic conversation, but I'm far from native speaker level 😂

I've never studied Japanese as anything more than a hobby so I can't really speak on using it to fulfill requirements for uni, but I do believe that it's a relatively easy language to learn (in comparison to other languages I've studied)? In terms of grammar at least. We don't talk about kanji lmao

As for tips,, the most important things are to keep at it and have fun! Finding a studying method that works for you + maybe even finding a way to connect studying the language to your other interests can really help keep your motivation up in my experience. (Also don't feel discouraged when progress is slow, it is a completely different language from English after all!)

(I'm putting a list of some of my favorite Fun Ways™ of learning new vocabulary and stuff under the cut in case you want some input / ideas btw 👉👈 I'm not sure how useful these are when you're a complete beginner but maybe it'll be useful)

slice of life / highschool anime are a really nice way of picking up new words in passing since they tend to not dive into complicated / very specific vocabulary (e.g. there's no talks about law / medicine / etc etc) and the characters usually don't speak in specific dialects - I'm especially thinking of Miira no Kaikata and Gakuen Babysitters here, but I'm sure there's more

(the same goes for anime specifically geared towards children, but I don't have any recommendations there 🙇‍♂️)

once you know hiragana, renshuu's J-crosswords app is a fun way of practicing them and expanding your vocabulary!

when it comes to kanji, I've found it helpful to just jump right into it and try to read manga in Japanese. a lot of manga include furigana (i.e. the pronunciation of the kanji written next to them in hiragana), so if you know hiragana, you'll eventually start picking up recurring kanji as well 👌 you'll definitely be best off with digital publications for this though, especially if you don't have excellent eyesight. the furigana in manga volumes are small fdjhsgdjfd

listening to native speakers (especially in actual conversation & not acted like in anime) is always very helpful as well! I'm personally pretty interested in the seiyuu industry so I tend to go for anime-related radios or shows like Seiyuu Yoasobi for this, but it works just as well with Japanese (or bilingual!) Youtubers etc - this is also a matter of finding things that with your interests honestly

and, last but not least, following some native speakers on social media! you probably won't understand much initially without the good ol' translate button but I personally still always feel a little sense of achievement whenever I can actually read a tweet on my own 😂

literally the moment the school’s bell dismissed classes, you were already out of the classroom door trying to get to rehearsal on time considering you’re a principle and you wanted to warm up for the hours of practicing coming your way

there were days where you and atsumu only see each other during lunch breaks at school because your schedules often overlap

you two try your best seeing each other and sometimes surprise one another if someone’s practice ends up being shorter than usual or if the season isn’t in full swing yet

lowkey i could see atsumu leaving vb practice asap just to see you practicing

since homie is STRONK™️, he would help you break in your ballet shoes

his favorite part is when you let him beat the absolute crap out of the toe box (i.e hitting it against the concrete floor or stepping on it) so you can have a softer landing when you dance

however, sometimes you have to stop him from overdoing it our else the toe box is too weak to even support you anymore (it happened once and you didn’t have time to break in a new pair)

after a long days worth of practice, the ones where you could barely walk, atsumu would be there holding you up and walking with you everywhere

and this happens often even if you feel fine cause his practice always ends before yours so he’s always showing up at your ballet company to pick you up cause he’s a responsible bf

atsumu is such a supportive boyf, but definitely a loud one

the first performance he saw of yours (let’s say you did esmeralda’s variation) he would be clapping along to the beat as if he was in a russian audience

he ended up getting shushed at BUT when you did Don Quixote, he was having the time of his life clapping during the act 1 finale when you were doing pirouette’s across the stage

after each variation that you are in, he’s so loud like 🥺🥺

sakusa likes things to be mutual so he tries learning balle terms but all the french is kinda throwing him off a bit

despite going to a lot of your performances, you don’t push him into going since you know how he feels about crowds and such

especially when everyone is walking in or out once the show is over, you know sakusa is going to get overwhelmed and you always tell him that he doesn’t have to go

but he wants to prove to you that he’s a good bf that’s supportive so he pushes through either way

on the plus side, it’s easy to spot sakusa in the crowd cause he’s the only one wearing a mask

you don’t even have to see his face in order to know that he’s proud of you

Sometimes, he thinks about his old life before he ever had the misfortune of landing in a world of his own creation, with an annoying gaming AI system of sorts hounding his every move (in the beginning) or turning up at the most inopportune times just when he thinks it’s finally gone and left him alone (more recently). 

Shang Qinghua remembers not having many friends when he was still Shang Qinghua, when ‘向天打飞机 Airplane Shooting Towards the Sky’ was still merely his writing Weibo account moniker and when he had millions of people looking up to him for his crucial contributions in writing this amazing story about his son Luo Binghe and the way he overcame all odds to become a success with a harem of gorgeous women at his feet (damn you, Peerless Cucumber bro!).

Back in those days, he lived off cup noodles and instant coffee. If he didn’t have to leave the house, Shang Qinghua would simply curl up in front of his laptop, either writing for his novel or watching shows (clears his throat) - actual shows! Chinese period dramas were his favourite, where a skilled and intelligent consort in the harem would outwit all the other women to be with her one true love, the Emperor, who falls irrevocably in love with her.

And when he got bored, he switched from the laptop to his television to engage in his second most favourite hobby - Chinese karaoke. Going out to a karaoke bar would require some level of socializing, and also a few friends so he gets more bang out of his buck from what he pays for the room, but at home? 

With advanced technology and a tiny ass microphone in either shining gold or silver, Shang Qinghua’s home entertainment system was his very own personal karaoke room, His tiny mic even had that echo-y effect on.

Shang Qinghua has a thing for classic Chinese songs - ‘The New Butterfly Dream’, ‘Liang Shan Bo and Juliet’, The Moon Represents My Heart‘ - and contemporary karaoke must-haves, like Wang Fei. For an embarrassing few days, the Chinese version of Baby Shark was a veritable earworm as well.

After transmigrating into his own story set in ancient times, where he lives without technology, Shang Qinghua would be lying if he said he didn’t miss the Internet. Laptops would be incredibly handy, and so would switches for lights, definitely indoor plumbing for toilets, and induction stoves. Phones too, that would be nice, rather than having to ‘send word’ with letters. 

Of course, there is no karaoke bar or machine for him.

Not all is bad though. At least he transmigrated to Shang Qinghua in this world as a baby, so it’s not as if he was surviving on Internet and technology one day and left to do everything manually the next day since someone was always taking care of him. Peerless Cucumber bro, of course, wasn’t as lucky, but the man has definitely taken to this world (and his son!!) like a fish to water.

And as for himself, Shang Qinghua does not need to envy Shen Qingqiu and Luo Binghe either, because somehow, he has gotten the man of his dreams too, even if said man was a little cruel and rude to him in the beginning.

He has the love of his life (coughs coughs) and they’re stuck in this world for the rest of his life. What more is there to want? Not to mention how his cup of instant noodles betrayed him at the last moment, resulting in his death! It is slightly safer, ironically, to be in this world instead.

Shen Qingqiu marvels at the sight before him, torn between wanting to step in to stop Shang Qinghua, or watch this farce unfold. 

He sometimes forgets where he, or where Shang Qinghua, who has been in this world longer than he, came from. They don’t always talk about the past when they meet, and aside from the occasional meetups, Shen Yuan is a part of him that doesn’t surface, not when he is with Luo Binghe. 

Shang Qinghua, on the other hand, grew up here, and aside from referring to Shen Qingqiu by his Weibo account name, he seems otherwise well-adjusted, no hint of modern online writer Shang Qinghua in sight. It doesn’t feel as if he misses their original world either.

This evening, however, memories of modern times slap him in the face, quite literally.

“Shizun!” Luo Binghe calls, frantic, tugging him back into his embrace out of Shang Qinghua’s way. Once Shen Qingqiu is safe in his arms, his eyes narrow at the bumbling, drunk idiot causing a scene in the dinner hall, “Shang Qinghua...”

Shang Qinghua stops where he is, and then before any one can stop him, he picks up a pair of chopsticks, brings it to his mouth, and begins bellowing his way through-

“Shizun, are you alright?” Luo Binghe fusses, his hands coming up to cup Shen Qingqiu’s face when his Shizun doesn’t so much as respond to him. “Were you hurt? Did he hurt you? How’re you feeling? We’ll go back home now-”

“What is he singing?” Qi Qingqi frowns in disgust.

They all wince when Shang Qinghua attempts to hit a high note, but fails miserably.

Fuck me, Shen Qingqiu thinks, his eyes impossibly wide, who knew Airplane bro was such a karaoke fanatic?

“... maybe he is possessed by a malevolent spirit? Or perhaps this is an unidentified curse?” asks Ming Fan. 

“Or is this some new form of cultivation?” asks Ning Yingying, curious.

Yue Qingyuan, seated at the front of the dining hall, cannot help but be concerned for him as well. “Shall we call Mu-shidi to take a look at him-”

They’ve gathered for their annual meeting - a condition that Yue Qingyuan has set in place a few years ago after Luo Binghe ‘stole’ (married!) him away from Cang Qiong Peak - and although Shang Qinghua said he didn’t mind that Mobei Jun was unable to accompany him today, he spent most of the dinner drinking alcohol while in a melancholic state instead.

Who knew that Shang Qinghua was a singing drunk?!

Hence their current predicament.

At the Sect Master’s words, Shang Qinghua suddenly turns around and looks at Shen Qingqiu. HIccuping twice, he then beams, “Cucumber-”

Shen Qingqiu has never moved that fast in his life. Within a fraction of a second, he has his hand pressed over Shang Qinghua’s mouth, holding onto him from the back.

“Cucumber?” everyone choruses in confusion.

“I believe your Shang-shishu has had a little too much to drink,” Shen Qingqiu clears his throat, nodding at everyone else. “We should... send him back to Mobei. Isn’t that right, Binghe?”

His disciple, his husband, still has on an affronted, murderous look for how Shang Qinghua almost brained Shen Qingqiu with his flailing arms in his drunken fit. The moment Shen Qingqiu asks, however, his expression morphs into something so soft and full of love that everyone who sees it chokes.

“Of course,” Luo Binghe smiles, devotion apparent in his eyes. “Anything Shizun wants.”

The words that are tumbling out of Shang Qinghua’s mouth are entirely incomprehensible, and so are the tunes he’s humming into his ear.

Mobei Jun thought he had gotten used to Shang Qinghua’s eccentric mannerisms, and also thought he knew everything about his husband, so many years later. Shang Qinghua is mumbling Chinese alright, but none of the characters put together make any sense.

Who is Liang Shan Bo? And who the hell is Juliet?!

His mood taking a turn for the worse, Mobei Jun hoists Shang Qinghua up further on his back.

After getting so drunk, the idiot had the gall to demand for a piggy-back from the throne room to their bedroom. Mobei Jun has never once suffered such indignity in his years of living. A bridal carry? Of course, anytime. A piggy-back? As if he was some beast to be tamed? 

Well this definitely has to be a first.

While he was stewing in his thoughts, Shang Qinghua switches from that song to another one, and a stream of ‘du du du lu du lu’ emerges from his lips... AND something about... a sha yu? What the hell is that?!

Shang Qinghua lazily lifts his right hand as they approach their room, balls it into a fist and puts it to his mouth, as if he’s holding something, and whatever monstrosity Shang Qinghua is singing, his voice gets even louder.

Mobei Jun tosses Shang Qinghua off his back unceremoniously and onto the soft bed. Interrupted, Shang Qinghua blinks, his vision blurry, and is about to catch his breath and start singing again when his husband climbs in after him. Trapping Shang Qinghua with his entire weight, Mobei Jun seals his lips with a kiss.

“... My king...” Shang Qinghua murmurs in a daze, when Mobei Jun pulls back a few minutes later, his breaths coming out as short, harsh pants. “My king...”

“That’s right,” he says with a glower. “I’m your Da Wang, your husband.”

Mobei Jun doesn’t know who Liang Shan Bo is, but he’s going to make sure no other man’s name ever leaves Shang Qinghua’s lips again when they’re together.

And when his husband finally sobers up, he’s going to have a lot to answer for.

This fanfic was inspired by the constant Youtube painting lives Yoongi has had. In the midst of writing I added Jungkook because he added more into the story. “Y/N it seems like you still need 4 more credits added to your schedule to be eligible to graduate this semester.” your advisor told you. You honestly didn’t know you still needed more credits to graduate, you never cared to look. So when it came to registering, you signed up for the courses you needed as part of your International Studies degree. 

“What courses are still available for registration?” you asked even though you knew the number of courses to be left must be very few. “Well there is one course open, it’s Professor Min’s Painting 101. He’s a new professor here so it makes sense as to why not many students signed up with him yet.  Even though this course isn’t a requirement for your major, it will definitely cover up for the credits you need Y/N so I suggest you sign up for this. His course runs every Friday at 1 pm-3 pm” your advisor said as she handed you a summary of Professor Min’s course.

You looked over the summary of the course to know what you’re getting yourself into. It was a 101 class so of course, you will be in a class full of freshmen. That wasn’t too exciting however you didn’t mind painting, you are actually quite great at it as a hobby. With one last look at the sheet, you turn to your advisor “Okay I’ll take the course”.

It was finally Friday and today includes your very first class with Professor Min. Unfortunately, you couldn’t go on Rate My Professor to see what kind of teacher was he since he’s new. ‘I swear if he’s an asshole, I’m gonna give him a fucking one’ you thought to yourself. 

You were standing right in front of his classroom, sighing you stepped in to see a couple of students already seated. You tried looking for a seat next to an empty one only to see none, so you had to sit next to someone. Looking around the classroom to observe the students there, you saw a boy with long hair covering his eyes. ‘He looks like someone who won’t speak to me that’s perfect’ you thought as you made your way over and sat next to the boy. 

The boy looked up, staring at you for a bit before speaking “Hello! My name is Jungkook” he said smiling. ‘Oh for fuck’s sake, I forgot how friendly these freshmen are on the first day because they have no friends’ you thought. “Uh, h-hi my name is Y/N” you waved slightly at him. 

“Are you majoring in arts too?” he asked, his eyes were wide in a cute way. “No, actually I’m an International Studies major. I’m only taking this course for extra credits to graduate” you smiled at him. “Oh...so you must be older than me” he chuckled. You had, to be honest, his laugh was pretty cute. “Yeah I’m 22 however I’d like to think I was younger” you laughed and Jungkook laughed with you. You and Jungkook continued to talk until class began.

Suddenly the door opened and revealed a man who looked young with long brown and blonde hair. ‘Fuck he’s hot’ you thought as your gaze focused on him walking in. Jungkook leaned in and whispered in your ear “He’s quite the eye candy right” and you nodded. What else were you supposed to say of course you didn’t expect your painting professor to be a man who looked like he was in his mid 20’s. 

Professor Min’s eyes scanned the classroom before stopping on you for a bit. You could feel your face reddening as you felt his gaze on you. ‘Fuck stop thinking like this Y/N’. As you looked up at Professor Min he broke the stare and sat at his desk. “Okay, my name is Professor Min and welcome to my Painting 101 class, this course will include beginner level painting. You will learn the steps to becoming a better painter. I expect each and every one of you to come out of this class with at least more confidence in the arts.” he said as he looked over the class. 

Professor Min then took out his clipboard with the attendance sheet. He checked off each student one by one before hovering over your name tilting his head before looking up at you “Miss Y/N?” You immediately looked up at him “Yes?”. “It says here you’re a senior majoring in International Studies, is there a reason why you’re taking my course?” he asked still having his gaze on you.

“Ah um well I needed an extra course to get enough credits to graduate this semester and your course was the only option. However, I really like to paint as a hobby so I thought this class would be easy to take!” You answered trying to sound like you’re happy with taking the class. Professor Min nodded to your response “I see well welcome to the class as well” he smiled before standing up. 

“So for today’s class, we’ll start easy. Each of you will be doing individual work today by making a simple painting of your choice. I decided to make this a first-day activity because I want to see where you are in terms of levels of performance with painting however expect me to make some comments as this is a college course not a high school course. This will be due in class today. I expect each of you to explain your paintings and why you made them the way they are. You have 2 hours, so please get to your stations, the materials needed are on the carts in the corner.” Professor Min stated as he went back to his desk and started to go over some paperwork while we all began to work.

The two hours of painting were almost up and to be honest you were very satisfied with your painting. You painted two pink roses tied together that were falling from the sky. ‘Professor Min is going to love this’ you smiled at the thought. Jungkook looked over your shoulder to see what you painted and laughed a bit. “That’s definitely very simple but it’s cute Y/N,” he laughed giving you a light pat on the back. You turned to see what Jungkook painted to see that he made a fucking portrait of himself A PORTRAIT! “What the fuck Jungkook how did you get that done within just 2 hours?” you ask as now you felt not so confident in your painting anymore. “Well, I am a visual arts major what did you expect” Jungkook laughed as you rolled your eyes.

“Okay the 2 hours are up, I will start walking around the class to individually speak about your paintings. Once I grade them you can leave the classroom. I will post your homework for the week on canvas so make sure to check!” Professor Min said as he started to walk around the classroom to grade students.

Soon enough he reached Jungkook and he had no problem explaining his portrait of himself. “I really love the details of your painting Jungkook, I can see you will probably be one of the more advanced skilled students in our class, your grade for this assignment is an A” Professor Min smiled as he then turned to your painting. Jungkook had packed up his things and waved at you before leaving the classroom. 

It was just you and Professor Min in the classroom so the amount of nervousness you felt was really high. “Alright Y/N explain your painting to me” he asked as he looked directly at you. “Well, as you can see I painted two pink roses tied together that are also in the midst of falling from the sky. I actually didn’t know what to paint at the beginning if I had to be honest but I just let my head flow with whatever came to my mind first which was roses. Roses signify love, I’ve actually never felt that before but pink roses comfort me a lot which is why I painted them falling from the sky. The roses are not within the grass they are falling because they haven’t gotten to me even though I think about them a lot.” You were satisfied with your answer as you smiled at Professor Min.

He nodded and looked at your painting again. “I like the story behind this painting Y/N however I feel like you can add more detail in your painting. Maybe add something else to pair with the flowers or add some scenery behind it so it doesn’t look like a plain sky. I see lots of paintings like this Y/N and it’s too simple for the meaning behind it when other paintings look exactly like this. Try and add more of your other feelings to this. I will give you a C for this however if you take it home and re-do it, I can consider regrading your work” Professor Min said as he wrote down your grade on his clipboard and smiled “I’ll see you next Friday Miss Y/N” he said as he walked back to his desk. 

You just stood there trying to process what the fuck he just told you. It needed more detail, more work? You were sure you added everything you needed that was in your head. ‘I can’t believe this, Jungkook painted himself and got an A, what did I do wrong?’ you thought. “Miss Y/N are you alright?” Professor Min spoke up as he saw you still standing at your station. You snapped out of it and nodded over at him “Y-yeah I was just thinking of something else sorry, have a nice day!” you said as you grabbed your bag and your painting before rushing out the classroom. ‘I hope you choke on your fucking coffee Professor Min’ you thought as soon as you exited.

It was Friday again and throughout the week you worked on revising your painting as well as become close friends with Jungkook. “Did you get your painting done Y/N?” Jungkook asked as you sat down next to him. “Yeah, I was able to finish it hopefully he’s happy with this one even though I don’t understand what I did wrong in the first place,” you said sighing while taking your painting out and setting it next to your desk. “I thought it was fine even though it was simple, I think he’s just messing with you” Jungkook laughed. “If he’s messing with me I will chop his dick off for real,” you said frustrated.“ “I see I hope you don’t plan on doing that to me too” Jungkook laughed again. “As long as you don’t piss me off too much Kook then you’ll be fine” you smiled.

In the midst of talking, Professor Min walked in “Good Afternoon class, I hope you all have your homework ready to hand in. It will be the first thing we talk about in class today”. He said as he walked up to the chalkboard to write the word ‘blue’ on it. Shit shit shit, you forgot to do your homework because you were so focused on trying to redo your painting. Seeing you in distress, Jungkook handed you a sheet of paper and winked at you. So much animal crossing

You don’t even know

MC and Yoosung do live together, but of course they’re gonna go on animal crossing dates because they can’t go out for a real date

They’ll go on a little museum date, take some pictures on a little picnic, it’s all super wholesome

SO many snacks

Oh my god, the two of them do not eat healthy

It’s not as bad as Seven’s diet, but still not great

Before everything got really bad, the two of them went on a huge costco run and filled the cart to the brim with any kind of snack you could think of

Of course they both forgot to get any kind of actual meal-like foods, so they order delivery a LOT

Movie night is every night y’all

It started with a Lord of the Rings movie marathon

Then it turned into a search for every rom com on Netflix

Then it turned into literally just letting Netflix autoplay whatever was on next

This turned into watching so many bad movies that Yoosung and MC’s cheeks hurt from laughing and smiling so hard

Hair dye, anyone?

Yoosung’s hair is growing out some so his dark roots are visible, and his hair clips aren’t pulling all of his hair back anymore

So! MC cuts and dyes it for him

And not to toot her own horn or anything, but it turns out pretty good

So of course she decides to dye her own hair, nothing drastic but definitely noticeable lol

Zen:

Zen does not do well with being stuck at home

He’s so anxious and jittery from having to sit around all day and not be able to go out and perform or go to the gym

He likes to go jogging every afternoon though and MC started tagging along

His jogs turned into strolls very quickly with MC by his side because he can’t help but slow down to just hold her hand and chat with her

Sometimes he like to surprise her by finding a remote little spot in the park where they can have a picnic

He’s still really antsy about not being able to do anything creative and it’s driving him crazy

So he and MC start making custom cloth masks for all the other RFA members

MC has to do Jumin’s though because she knows for a fact that Zen is gonna put something mean on it lol

They make Yoosung a LOLOL themed one, Jaehee one with little coffee cups and pastries on it, Seven gets one with little bags of honey butter chips and dr. pepper on it, Jumin gets one with a little cat smile and whiskers

MC makes one for Zen with little hearts and roses on it and he practically melts when she gives it to him

He would absolutely love anything she gave to him, but it was just too cute and made him love her even more, how sweet and loving and thoughtful she was

In return, he made her one with little princess tiaras and hearts on it in a similar color scheme and pattern so that they could match

If they have to go out for groceries, just because they have masks on doesn’t mean he’s gonna stop his PDA lmao

He’ll still constantly hold her hand and wanting to kiss her on the top of her head but his mask is in the way :')

Jaehee:

C&R is considered an essential business so it’s still operating

But! The offices are closed and everyone is required to work from home

This cuts out all the time from Jaehee’s commute, and cuts out all non-essential tasks from her job

Because of this, she’s able to work the normal amount for a chief assistant AND is able to spend so much more time with MC and they’re both LOVING it

So! Much! Baking!!!

The two of them are constantly looking for new recipes online to try out, creating their own little menu of pastries

They’re always getting ingredients delivered from the grocery store so they don’t have to go out to just buy flour or just buy baking soda

MC’s favorite to make with Jaehee is eclairs because, even though it makes such a mess, it’s always so fun to have a full day project to work on with her so they can watch musical clips on youtube while the pastries are in the oven, or just chat and laugh together while they fill and dip the eclairs

Jaehee’s favorite to make with MC besides eclairs is layered cakes because she loves decorating them almost as much as she loves watching MC decorate them

It’s so relaxing and almost therapeutic to watch her decorate, it makes her forget about all the stress and work she has to worry about

Whenever they bake, since there’s only two of them and there’s no way they could eat all of it, they’ll drive by all of the members houses to drop of little care packages of their extra desserts

Jumin:

Same as Jaehee, Jumin is now able to work from home

It’s a really odd experience for him to have MC around while he works and as he expected, she’s incredibly distracting

All he wants to do all day is hold her in his arms and make her pancakes and see her smile

He was never known to be much of a procrastinator but with MC around, some of his work starts slipping through the cracks and he forgets to attend certain zoom meetings or review certain documents and it starts piling up

One weekend he ends up having to work all day and pull an all-nighter to catch up on everything he’s missed

MC tries to stay up with him, doing little tasks around the house to keep herself occupied

Giving Elizabeth the 3rd some fresh water, picking up the bedroom a bit

Eventually she settles down next to him while he works and reads

Unfortunately she doesn’t make it past 3am and falls asleep with her head on his shoulder

Jumin’s heart swells and he’s so nervous that he’s going to wake her up with his typing so his works slows down significantly while he tries to type quieter

Since he can’t go on trips to various farms or gardens like he normally would, MC starts slowly collecting little tiny potted plants, not just succulents but also just like itty bitty pots with basil plants or parsley plants, and lining them along the windows in the penthouse

After the first couple plants, Jumin notices a patter and realizes what she’s doing and appreciates so much how thoughtful she is

He starts getting really intrigued by the world of tiny plants and it lowkey becomes a new hobby of his that he shares with MC

He orders some tiny cat grass and catnip plants for Elizabeth the 3rd, of course

MC orders the tiny pots and decorates them all individually while Jumin will pick out the kinds of plants they’ll get

It gets a little out of control and there are now concerning amounts of tiny plants along every window and now along the kitchen counters and the dining table

The penthouse becomes their own little private garden and Jumin loves every bit of it

Seven:

Tbh life isn’t that much different at first for Seven, he normally doesn’t leave the house anyway

The only difference is that MC is always home now and god, he loves it

They get everything, literally everything, delivered to the house so they don’t have to leave the house

At first everything is pretty wholesome

Lots of cuddling on the couch while Seven works

Lots of making rice krispie treats and eating raw cookie dough

But MC and Seven are both very quick to lose their sanity to the likes of quarantine

Day 15 of quarantine, they accidentally ordered that week’s groceries twice, so they got two times more food than they need 

So of course they have a movie marathon and eat SO much food

Day 27 of quarantine, Seven dyes green streaks in his hair so he looks like someone threw up Christmas on his hair

Day ??? of quarantine, they start making really concerning cursed tik toks

-of course he realizes the extent of the issue with the virus, but he’s one of the last employers to give his workers paid leave. 

-even so, he’s prompt to send everyone down the chain of command specific instructions for their departments and strict deadlines that they must adhere to

-this is the only thing keeping him from going insane

-hates it at home, he hates the solitude, hates being trapped, and not even Elizabeth the III is enough to keep him company

-tries to see this from a logical point of view, and uses this time to learn new things, pick up another language, take online enrichment classes... as trivial as they seem to him he still insists on doing something, anything to keep his mind sharp

-reads a lot

-starts to pick up cooking (due to his staff being under quarantine), but his cleaning skills leave something to be desired

-you can slowly start to see him slip up in the rfa groupchat, acting seemingly more relaxed...or maybe it’s closer to insanity

Jaehee

-she’ll never admit it to anyone, but she prefers being at home, even with her same amount of workload, maybe even more, but getting to set her own working hours has her smiling more, letting her take her time in the morning

-home workouts, you can’t convince me otherwise

-also reads a significant amount more! everything from dumb YA novels to nonfiction and classics, she takes full advantage of online library services 

-she doesn't know what to do with herself after a while

-doesn’t like staying inside, but knows it’s important to do so in order to keep not only her but everyone around her safe

-she’s the one that’ll yell at the other members if they dare to step foot outside

-finally has time to take care of her previously struggling plants, and they start to thrive within a short amount of time

-grows her hair out- she knows she’ll have to cut it again once this is all over but she enjoys waking up and messing with it, feeling not only joy but also pride when her hair gets long enough to tie back into a ponytail

Yoosung

-you’d think this would be a gamers paradise, not having to go outside and being able to focus on LOLOL alone

-detests online classes, trudging out of bed and into his living room with muttered complaints as he logs into his schools server, ready to video chat with his teachers. Falls asleep the second class is over, most of the time falling limp to the ground in exhaustion

-self isolation... not good for him. not only does it make him more anxious than ever the threat of his parents and sisters safety on the line, but being alone for so long only capitalizes on the fear of abandonment he had felt after Rika’s death, and not getting to see his friends plunges him into a pit of depression

-struggles to do more than aimlessly do his homework and log onto LOLOL, the stress of coronavirus keeping him up and worrying

Saeyoung

-while there has technically been no change in his physical lifestyle, there definitely has in his mental health

-how is he supposed to protect the RFA from something he can’t even see?

-this thought sends him into a panic, and his helplessness is only furthered by his lack of knowledge in general medicine. he wasn’t trained for this. 

-starts to isolate himself from the group, and bury himself in more work than ever before

-however, less people on the streets, less human activity... less clients... less victims

-for the first time in what seemed his whole life he finished everything he had for work, and this realization brought him to a crashing halt. with nothing to occupy his mind he found himself more alone than ever before, old memories and feelings from his childhood returning, flashbacks seemingly around every corner. 

-however, like Jumin, he knows he needs to keep his mind sharp and working, and finds himself talking to the man more and more as quarantine goes on, an unlikely friendship blossoming where nothing seemed to exist. 

-slowly he starts to integrate himself back into the RFA, and comes out the other end with a stronger bond with everyone. 

-occupies his newfound time with finally getting to work on his cars, even starting to build a few from scratch

-his only other serious pastime is his challenge to himself to watch the Bee Movie every day for as long as the quarantine lasts. (that and watch every sci-fi film on Netflix) 

-starts to learn how to cook... without honey buddha chips and doctor pepper

-he’s shit at it but at least he tries

Zen

-he feels guilty, everyone that had bought tickets to his upcoming show had to get their money refunded, the show being cancelled until further notice. 

-just out of curiosity, he tries his hand at writing down ideas for a play, a mashup of two things he’d done in the past

-what started off as a curiosity to see what would happen if he let his own imagination run with an idea instead of letting the idea run his imagination, became a hobby, writing short skits here are there, nothing more than

-does mostly original content, using it as an outlet for his creativity, and finds it simpler than youtube (he’s not much into the production side of filming as much as he is with the creativity side of it)

-he really likes the dances though! he finds them fairly laggy and too simple in their movements, but they give him an excuse to work out and awe the lads and ladies all in one

-is forced to order a treadmill, his lack of exercise getting to him. it doesn’t make up for the fresh air he misses so dearly, but it’s something

-it takes all his strength to stop drinking, fear for his shape and physical condition stopping him from becoming a borderline alcoholic

-as much as he hates to admit it, quarantine is isolating... as it should be of course, but to him being cut off from the rest of the world was something he could barely handle

Worn a mask? I mean, of course. I put one on even when I’m only picking up deliveries from my doorstep.

got tested for coronavirus? Never. I also hope I’ll never have to go through this, I don’t want a stick up my nose and throat D:

known someone who died from the virus? Personally? Too many people at this point. 

gotten the COVID vaccine? Not yet, but I have many relatives who’ve already gotten theirs, my mom and grandmother included, so at least. I know my employer has a plan in place over the next few weeks or months, so I’m just currently waiting for updates on their end.

started a new hobby? Yeah, I started on embroidery late last year. I haven’t been able to keep it up, but I’m still very much interested and want to go back to it soon. I also plan on getting one or two new Klaypel kits so I can finally replace and throw out the ones Gabie gave to me as gifts.

hated being stuck at home? Yeah, especially during the start when there seemed to be no end in sight. When they heightened quarantine protocols again earlier this month, that also made me feel aggravated about being stuck at home indefinitely since I had already started going out on weekends for self-dates.

worn a mask someone made for you? No one has made a mask for me, but one of my uncles got me a supply of a certain kind of face mask that I didn’t initially use.

sewn your own mask? No.

purchased masks at the store? Not me personally, but my dad regularly buys a supply for the family to use.

purchased a KN95 or N95 mask? Again, not me. But we regularly have a stock at home, along with the blue surgical face masks.

stocked up on toilet paper? I don’t think so. My parents didn’t believe in panic-buying.

But it proved to be difficult what with many students struggling with internet connections or being stuck somewhere without their school supplies, so my university canceled the sem altogether not long after and gave everyone general passing grades.

ate at a restaurant? I did a few times. I frequented coffee shops rather than restaurants, though.

walked through a drive-thru? I’ve...driven through a drive-thru, but not walk.

I see Fred just adoring your optimistic, friendly nature. Not to mention, he’d also LOVE you and your chaotic-ness. Like he just thrives and feels so at home in that energy so I can definitely see him attaching himself to you.

I think he’d find it cute when you start getting in ‘control-freak’ mode and would remind you it’s okay to not take things so seriously. He would definitely admire you and your work ethic though! He would honestly just be so amazed and would be so proud of you when you do finally finish something you’ve been hard at work on.

He obviously plays quidditch so he’d be excited that you like sports. If you play, he’d definitely be competitive, but would be so excited to share the experience with you. If you don’t play and prefer to just watch, he’d be ecstatic when you go to watch him. I doubt you’d ever miss an actual game, but for practices or if he’s playing with his siblings at home, he’d be so happy spotting you on the ground watching him.

He’d love listening to you talk about books you’ve read or listening as you work out details of your writing. I feel like he’d also completely enjoy reading your writing?! I can totally see him watching you and reading the paper as you’re writing or stealing your notebook after you’re done to read it. And he’d just be really soft about it! Like he just loves watching you find joy and take part in your hobbies.

He’d love spending time outside with you and would more than likely joke about how silly you are spending your time outside even though you’re allergic to lots out there. He’d never force you to go inside though because he knows you’d rather suffer through allergies than be stuck inside all day when the weather is so beautiful. And personally, I think he’d be a bi selfish with it as well. He wants to be outside and he wants to spend his time with you so he’d keep you outside with him so he doesn’t have to go inside either.

As for Neville, I just see him being such a soft and loving person towards you. He’d love hearing you talk about books or hearing you talk about your writing. He’d love reading to you or having you read to him.

He’d be able to calm you a bit when you start getting into your control-freak mindset and would remind you it’s okay to not have control over everything; that’s it’s okay to just do your best.

He’d love sitting outside with you and would always have tissues with him or allergy medicine on him so you can sit out and enjoy the weather too!

He’d also just love your happy, optimistic, friendly personality. In all honesty that’s probably what drew him in to you in the beginning.

I just see both Neville and Fred being really cute with you and bringing you lots of happiness.
