Perekoo Angst

!!TW for heavy topics and homophobia!!

So since I'm scared as shit for our/my rights in my country and while my mental health is down anyways, I came up with this scenario/prompt.

We know that the people who live in Devil's Acre are probably from the 20th century or older which means anything other than their heteronormativity society is seen as a threat.

Now we have Isabel and Alma in all of this who have the problem of being Ymbrynes which means they kinda have to stay "neutral" or otherwise lots of people won't take them seriously anymore and/or will question their leadership.

And ofc they are also scared of the judgment and unacceptance that would definitely come with making their relationship public.

But with that also comes hiding your identity and sexuality and being scared that people might "catch you" one day.

In the scenario there's this entire protest thing against lgbtq people but there are also people who are protesting for lgbtq rights. There would probably be more people who are against it though, because of the mind of the society and because most lgbtq people were just scared and hiding.

So there is this rather small group of supporters and this big mass of protesters against it in front of the ministries building.

And inside in a small office on the upper floor is Isabel, crouched down with her back against the wall while she can quietly but clearly hear the protesters in the background. She may be pretty confident about her sexuality or the way she expresses herself by now, but these things still scare the hell out of her… they could kill her after all or worse, the people she cares about.

It's when Alma knocks on the door and comes in to find the other Ymbryne in this state. She locks the door and sits to calm Isabel down, suggesting that they could go home and get out of this overwhelming situation. But Isabel denies it, saying that she doesn't want to bring these thoughts home, not wanting to connect any negative thoughts with the peace and safety that the loop brought her. Therefore they stay in the room just being in each other's presence and trying to calm one another.

Eventually they fall asleep until they get woken up by some angry knocking. In panic about being seen together Alma hides in one of Isabel's huge wall cupboards (shush, gay cliche i know), because the risk of being seen while flying out of the window is too high.

From this point it could go two ways tbh.

Protesters come in and are just angry in general. They had  decided to storm the ministries building and smear offensive things on the walls of the old building. Either they are angry because they know about Isabel due to her being so open about everything or they are just mad in general and in this rage they blame random stuff on Isabel, why she was still here, why her door was locked, if she was hiding something, etc.

Again two possible ways to go, either the protesters just riot and throw some stuff around and by that also knock down some wall cupboards (where Isabel has to pretend like she doesn't care that much) or they just talk shit about Isabel and then leave.

Either way it leaves the two Ymbrynes scared and traumatized as fck.

After the protesters have left again, Isabel straight up locks the door again and rushes to Alma who's clearly as terrified as Isabel is.

The last picture is just the two Ymbrynes huddled together again, both being absolutely terrified while you can still hear the people running through the building in the distance.

Isabel apologizes over and over again, that she said no to just going home and leaving this all behind, and Alma tries to calm her as best as she can, while trying not to hyperventilate herself.

How they actually get out of this, if they just wait until everyone is gone or Alma creates a small pocket loop away (idk how fast she can actually make them tbh), is really up to you guys, whoops.

I had this really detailed in my head but I can't really get myself to write anything more….story like? I'm currently more in the state of staring at my phone but not being able to get one sentence written down and even this post here took me DAYS to write, which is ridiculous.

thinking about these posts i see every now and then, where people congratulate themselves for being members of a species that is not inherently selfish but inherently Good, of ascended nature. the thought is ridiculous in its arrogance: people tend to think they're kinder than they really are and dont like to reckon with themselves for being an asshole. I often see reassurement that worrying about being good means you must be, because bad people dont worry about being good, but in my experience thats wrong. a specific strain of shithead cares very much about being seen and recognized as Good, because it is the proper and correct metric with which to judge people, and they care a lot about being better than. this kind of asshole isn't incapable of insight but actively chooses its opposite because self reflection and holding oneself accountable is too much painful work. this asshole hates their chosen Other with the fiercest passion but has rationalized this hate to themselves as justified, and they are really good with coming up with even more justifications for their own obscene behavior. they refuse to apply their 'principles' equally across the board and will lash out when this is noticed. they won't listen to anything that threatens their internal narrative as a Good Person; instead its YOU that's the problem -- you and your bigotry/stupidity/immorality/disrespect

like. i watched a significant portion of a country drive a black woman to the verge of suicide with the kind of vicious glee you'd see in a roman colosseum -- and when made aware of the fact that she wanted to die specifically to escape their constant lies, harassment and abuse, they doubled down: that bitch is a liar, a manipulator, she's faking for attention, she's doing it to make us look bad, she's an invader, she's disrespectful, 'uppity'. and its not like it was just a handful of people behaving this way -- droves were making money and enriching themselves through her despair, they still are. You only have to study history for a little while to see this play out again and again and again, writ large and small: the mob descending on a scapegoat and ripping them to shreds. anya-damian : a fic in which their class thinks anya and damian are dating so now theyre sort of just going along with it because neither actually want to deny

yantao : 100% self-servicing fic bc i kin hutao extremely hard. yanfei asks her out and she says no because shes busy with funeral parlor duties and cannot imagine herself in love. its a pity because over the course of the fic you can tell yanfei means a lot to her but she just doesnt have the space on her plate for a girlfriend

xiaoven : also part of the long celebrities AU. co-members of 4NEMO who are also fake dating xiao and venti try to maintain a colleague-ish relationship while having to act lovey dovey on cameras

kaebedo / thomaluc : also part of the AU. in which, much like irl, the fanbase decided despite kaeya being romantically involved with pianist albedo kreideprinz and diluc dating DCKZ's manager thoma that the brothers are secretly in love and kaeluc becomes the biggest meme of the fandom (do i ship kaeluc? no. would this absolutely happen? rule 34.)

chiscara : in which its blatantly obvious scaramouche is down horrendous for colleague harbinger childe and everyone knows it, but for some reason keeps turning childe down.

thomato : ayaka makes her brother solemnly swear not to lay a finger on their new earnest and boyish housekeeper. the problem? the housekeeper tries to lay hands on him.

kazuscara : kazuha keeps incessantly offering scaramouche cute trinkets because he thinks scaramouche doesnt like him. scaramouche likes him. hes avoiding kazuha precisely because he likes him too much.

kazuscara : a spin-off to the Celebrity AU in which kazuha in an interview accidentally leaks hes sort of kind of crushing on someone and everyone including 4NEMO themselves race to find out who

kaebedo : albedo gets rude when hes nervous and the cavalry captain makes him very nervous

xiaoven, slight tw for suicide and gore : fic starts with 'Butterflies who lose their wings never fly again, it's the same for yakshas' and cuts to xiao brutally stabbing his spear through a god over and over. but its no use, it wont bring back his wings. hopelessly, he tries to kill himself but is interrupted by the sharp playing of the dihua flute and an anemo vision

kazuscara : MAFIA HUSBANDS. its a whole fic each chapter being a one shot abt the story of this company where scaramouche is the head boss and kazuha is the secret lover with him wrapped around his finger.

my fav scene is kazuha being poisoned and scara needing to negotiate for the antidote... and then scara tries to kiss him and kazuha has to physically push back and remind, "im literally poisoned rn."

thomato / thomaluc : in which thoma and diluc are getting married and ayato watches bittersweet from the sidelines. angsty fics arent my taste exactly but there are exceptions

badgerfang i think a lot of us have a big ol soft spot for, but ought i really care him and his family i think it needs more than jusT the badgerfang death like for real

one of the biggest reasons i wanna learn to animate is because i wanna make a badgerfang and flintfang amv! it would be sdkg more about flintfang because i think he’s a neat character who has a lot of potential for development 

like mAN you ever stop and think about not only was flintfang sad over badgerfangs death because it was sad, bUT also because badgerfang was his sisters kit AND to the thought of blackstar is flintfangs brother. flintfang had to deal with playing a hand in badgerfangs death then watch his brother loyally follow brokenstar, then tigerstar 🥺

Baypaw

baypaw was the first of his lil chunk of family i design, i didnt have a sorrelstripe design made yet so i ultimately decided to base his design on his grandpa Lionblaze. smaller fluffy lionblaze.

I know we should be coming up to baypaw getting their warrior name soon

the only thing i have  to say is dgjksh when i designed the ‘beech’ prefix designs it was late and i totally went ‘beech... the beach’ and noT beech the tree sdjkgh. so i designed beech tail like that of a penguin sdjkgh

Beechfur

beechfur , riverclan warrior under mistystar’s leadership

i imagine beechfur is be EXTREMely accident prone, from the first instant of getting sick and healed by leafpool all the way up till the end. He is in and out of the medicine cats den constantly. and through this formed a big ol crush on the pretty medicine cat apprentice Willowshine who has had to full on decline his feelings. he is not the only one who has had this treatment, many a riverclan cats have found themself charmed by willowshine

Beechpaw

Beechpaw, a apprentice of ancient skyclan who were forced to leave the forest territory.  i imagine beechpaw was of the few cats who did everything he could to keep the others in good spirit while they tried to find their home, which often came to the annoyance of all his distraught clanmates. he never stopped doing all he could to put a smile on their face until he died.

he was the last apprentice cloudstar named a warrior and only lived a few moons after becoming one.

warrior names i like for him are like Beechshed or Beechshine

Beenose

slight update to my beenose design because i want her to fit my newer darktail group clown aesthetic 

another design note is her and her siblings all are themed after a diff color of the rainbow, beenose is yellow. their mom snowbird has a pale rainbow pattern and each other her kits is a diff color of the rainbow

Beetlewhisker

Beetlewhisker is another one of my quiet favorites i have, and it is because of the error of him being alive for SO many books after he died.

like !!! bitch had a HUGE major death and went on to live for a long time aND be listed as a cats mentor (which i think that has been changed now)

i love the idea of in a way beetlewhisker WAS with the clans that long after his death. that due to his death was in a way locked in the dark forest, his soul stuck there. but because of the ways of the dark forest cat’s he was chased out, and unable to enter starclan having died in the dark forest, now cursed to live in limbo.

He walks to the grounds of riverclan watching over his clanmates while they rest hoping that no one else is to be preyed upon by the dark forest like he was ever again. 

theres ghost stories of riverclan cats seeing the shape of a cat shining brightly when hit by moonlight. a peaceful spirit of the past who protects them.

and in design 100% his design was made to look like that of a smeleton bones lol

Bellaleaf

the erin team will have to pry bellaleaf and firestar being siblings from my cold dead hands!!

you can’t say they look basically exactly alike and their not related i wont take it sdjkg. i DIE for the idea oh whore jake managing to have so many kids that get into the clans. like the over saturation of jake dna through the clans ruining them absolutely kills me sdjkg

i also imagine ravenpaw having like deja vu of firestar when he looks at bella, cats who knew firestar look at her and can’t help feel she reminds them of someone. 

Berryheart

another one of the designfor snowbirds kits, berryheart is the red themed sibling.

i just love berrynose, i think hes very terrible and i love him a lot

i think the books are cowards and i think berrystar woulda been the fUNniest outcome oR like

imagine the powermove if berrynose lived and squirrelflight fucking made berrynose her deputy likE

also berrynose is a lil gay brat, he has a thick country accent and everyone find him weirdly charming. many hate him but cant help but find him alluring. 

he actually is a very good warrior, he stays on top of his task and brings in the prey. his biggest problem is his ego and his need to get in others faces all the time

i love when he’s paired with lionblaze because their stupid rivarly is so good i really wish it was more plot important and lasted longer i LIVE for best friend rivals lion and berry

buT i also love him with jayfeather for the simple dynamic of the one cat who would probably hate him more than anyone else but oops he’s in love to

Birchface

the biggest thing i can say about birchface is 100% birchface watched over mapleshade’s kits, doesnt let appledusk or his own family hurt them. He treats them like his own.

in AU’s where birchface lives i defiantly can see him having a HUGE crush on mapleshade and being much like thrushpelt was to bluefur. being as a surrogate dad for her kits and keeping the secret.

in my main AU with mapleshade dieing and getting a redemption its mostly the same except they become a sweet happy family together in starclan.

he’s a big goofy dad type and his father had hoped he would become leader one day, but worried that he was too lax with the code and not as driven to fight as others and began to think he would have to rely on frecklewish instead. then they both died and he ended up turning to his youngest son pinefur

Blade

this is just a one time ghost cat buT  i like the design i made for her.

im all here for dark forest cats having this black oozing mark from where they died, starclan gets being covered in stardust and maybe having from pretty plats or glow or other representative stuff on their death. but ghost cats are loUD with their mark of death. its a nagging weight they carry around based on their inability to move on to their respective afterlives. For blade its giant bright red tire marks that slowly circle around her body.

Blazefire

bluebellkit sure disappeared from the books. she’s one of those kits that like, she already had a mouth full of a name and i wish i coulda seen what they woulda named her as a warrior

but she’s another one of snowbird’s rainbow themed kids, her ofc being the blue one.

i think a cute warrior name for her could been Bluebellwhistle or bluebellfoot

buT id really like to imagine growing up he saw his mentor patchfoot as a father figure and was ultimately the reason patchfoot and his mom got together. and bouncefire being absolutely ecstatic about it. thinking patchfoot is the coolest guy

but brackenfur is quietly the biggest mess in the family. Being on pare with confidence and energy as cinderpelt when they were young, after her accident somethin changed for him. he loved his sister but is a big distant. but its hardly noticeable between the two as they worked very separate jobs in the clan

then his other sister, brightpaw has her accident and brackenfur begins to question something

but when he his the last to leave in the thunderclan group to their new home he stops and looks back at his mother frostfur who is old and frail look, though she wasnt young the damage of the forest hit her hard. 

this when brackenfur decides starclan has it out for his family, especially the mollies. they were cursed he was sure.

moons later he is expecting his kits with sorreltail, letting his mind rest on the idea, the crazy notion that some greater force wanted the she-cats in his family dead. 

then the day his kits arrive cinderpelt dies to the badgers. he pushes down these feelings down again it was the time. But he couldn’t help but think that, if leafpool was there, if starclan had given them a sign of the badgers, anything. maybe cinderpelt might have lived. but he pushes it back down and tells himself it was a warriors death

and then his daughter, cinderpaw is struck by the tree and the stirring in his mind grows stronger. why has starclan done this to his family

then honeyfern gets bit by the snake. how could starclan be so cruel, their always so young.

then his sweet sorreltail fought strongly for her two young daughters future

and on his own, forced to watch seedpaw drown and lilypaw be haunted by what happened.

the women in brackenfurs family is cursed and he bears the burden of relizing it, of living and watching each of them suffer until the end

to the ones that lived and are happy still, with no burdens in their lives he watches happily making sure NOTHING bad comes their way. he would fight starclan themselves to make sure his family is safe and happy

Breezepelt

in design Breezepelt has a p average length tail. which for him is a huge disappointment. His father crowfeather has a long slender windclan tail, a trait that is held to high standards in his family. a trait passed all the way down from windstar herself who had the longest and most beautifully windy tail. 

Breezepelt has a angry spot about this because he feels lacking and especially disconnected to his father. BUT double this with jayfeather having only half windclan blood has a tail even longer than crowfeathers 

i also would NOT put breezepelt with heathertail, i dont see any reason for it. like first off this bitch gay, id love for him to have a boyfriend and it think it should be berrynose because one, their both terrible i think it be funny and i also think its funny to ship berrynose with lionblaze or jayfeather so im like, whats another brother (to be clear not shipped all together, this is separately) and two, the idea heathertail and poppyfrost lesbian could exist

then the big BIg thing is, i would take breezepelts character and gut what happened in crowfeathers trial out of both him and crowfeather

briarlight buff as shit in her forlegs she loves trying to rope leafpool and jayfeather into lil strength contest she always wins (sometimes she will let leafpool win on days she needs it) 

her and jayfeather are wlw/mlm best friends. jayfeather calls her pidge which started as a mean nickname that she simply loved and embraced fully

also in my AU with medicat lionblaze i can very much see briarlight and lionblaze being very sweet friends. like big strong lionblaze who is actually docile and compassionate about his work and briarlight loud and rooting him on

Brick

swear to god until i got back into warrior cats this year i had always thought brick was a lady and her and bone were suppous to be scourges like adoptive bad parents jkdg

anyways im still with that, she/her agender brick who adopts their terrible son scourge and is in a monogamous partnership with bone’s. strictly business defiantly not married, they just have a son together. 

Brindlewing

idk a ton about her, but from her wiki it dsjkgh doesnt look like theirs  alot

but i’d like to imagine she’s a very anxious girl and struggles in crowds especially around cat she doesn't know. she feels more comfortable when one of her sisters is with her or her grandmother nightcloud. Nightcloud has always been a source of self confidence for her and they love each very much.

Brindlewing also inherited crowfeather’s family long tail that skipped breezepelt. Brindlewing holds the tail in her mouth as a means of helping her anxiety.

Bristlefrost

a biG design overhaul for my bristlefrost design, i really didnt like the old design i made her. wanted her to be a lil darker colored and in general have a cuter design

i gave her diff color eyes to mark her double agent status one eye green like her fathers and the other sharing the same blue i use for ashfur’s eye color

i kept her with the one white paw which i give to any descendent of jake, just because canonically she is ivy and ferns kid.

but in my rewrite their not togeather. Fernsong was a kittypet or a loner who had lost their mate and home and was found by ivypool caring for his three kittens alone. this is more fernsong headcanon, but bristlefrost is there

bristle and all the kits love ivypool they look up to her big time and all wished she was their mentor when they became apprentices. 

bristlefrost often confides in her father when feeling guilty or unsure of herself and he is always there for her

Bristlekit

half brother to tallstar

i imagine woolytail’s family seems to have a high mortality rate with their kids with only one maybe two usually making it to adulthood. bristlekit would die before becoming an apprentice and spent time in starclan with finchkit and later rabbitkit waiting for wrenflight and tallstar.

if bristlekit made it to being a warrior id like to think he was named Bristlefeather or Bristlefoot

Brook where small fish swim

teeny update to my brook design to give her small white fish dots matching her brothers spots

her general design is mean to be loosely based on a mountain lion. 

she got strong powerful mountain climbing body

i also wish her romance was better developed and wasnt like based in a lot of white savior romance plots given to native and native coded characters

in general the tribe really shoulda just been written better

Brownpaw

brownpaw, brother to littlecloud killed mosspaw as a kit on accident and was apprenticed for it by brokenstar

i imagine him and his brother wetfoot killing mosspaw effect them both deeply. for wetfoot it shook him to the core and made his doubt his own claws

for brownpaw it set him down the path of destruction. brokenstar rewarding him for what happened with mosspaw was the biggest enabler

brownpaw would go on to be a blood thirsty apprentice who would throw his young life away under brokenstars order of attack.

had he been made a warrior i think brokenstar woulda named him Brownmoss claiming he had earned the name when he took it from mosspaw.

Bug

so. today i honked a car horn, cuz zombies keep spawni g on my property (big ol farm im hopefully gonna start building walls arounf soon) bc i have wandering spawns n such on (this also means my two remaining horses and two dogs are all cooped up in yhe chicjen coop so that zombies will stop truing yo fight them)

so an6way. i honk yhe horn yo get zombies to spawn, tjinking yeah. lets kinda clear out this area a little (iirc once you kill enough zonbies in an area it stays empty).

next day: like five shitheads spawn inside my greenhouse, and destroy basically every planter in there and most of the greenhouse itself!!! ugh. i clear up the wreckage and.... leave most of it sitting there. maybe ill rebuild at some point? i also move my mostly-intact electric car (with solar panels! :) ) far away from my property, that way it doesnt get roughed up in any scuffles

next day: jesus fuck. i swear two hordes got spawned in different parts of my property. it was. not a hard fight at all, actually (linsey has hells of dodge skill, is fast, and has a cavalry sabre). i had to make like three seperate burn piles, because my corpse/burn pit filled up before i had even a quarter of em in there. so fhat was fun. i didnt even really loot much ofd the bodies, iirc there was basiclaly nothing of interest unless i wanted to clean blood and guts off leather pants to be cut up for raw materials. they ddid almost tear apart like. my backpack AND my utility vest tho, so... was lucky i managed to get those off before they got torn up irreparably.

current plan is to get palisades around mpst of the property (logs are easy, if time-consuming, to get. wire to tie em together with has mostly been from chain-link fences from the nearby town). that... hasnt really started yet, but i5s ginna be a multi-week project, id not more, to actually get all that set up (each one will need about 1/4 - 1/2 of a tree, and i will need.... idk really, but probably over a hundred palisade walls). maybe itd help to get some help, but the only humans ive seen were bandits outside the mansion i was holed up in, anx they... didnt really seem friendly (also last time i went near bandits it took me ~15 quick saves to actually live theu it. so.... fuck guns btw). so. all on my own, lol... might do some packed earth in a few places? that needs a wood frame under the dirt, tho. oooo what if i placed one od those every like 5-10 spaces, so my entire wall doesnt go up if it catches on fire? good idea good idea...

Pretty annoying. Especially when you cross someone who, although may not have as much disposable income, is able to form a logical independent thought. Probably not in your best interest to do all the manipulation stuff but do what you wanna do and just make sure you buckle up for a wild ride that you are just too stupid to be able to ever fully understand. It is not your fault you are so devastatingly stupid. That’s why you have so much money right now! Make sure you save some of it because if you keep being an asshole you will DEFINITELY need it later.

i’m thinking that humanity is lost we are all gonna die, i’m not being a pessimist, i’m being me.

its just like i said before, i hate humanity, i just watched something and i reminded me of that. if you want me to be honest, (or not whatever i’m just being honest) i kinda hope "we” all die. sure, not all “we” did was bad but it sure aint that beautiful either. say what you want, call me a pessimist, go ahead! you aint changin my thoughts. sure being you is important and being nice to others and stuff but “we” forget that still, the damage is done, i dont think it can be changed, with all the terrible things “we” already did to this planet it cant be turned back, it can be fixed, it cant be... “reset”. so sure, go on, live your life, but one day, if it is soon or after 6 generations, humanity’s gonna die. and then with the possibility that those people aint even to blame for those terrible things. so, i dont know how long this has been going on, or how long it will go on, this planet is having a mass extinction BECAUSE OF humanity. figure it out. “we” like to lie. atleast it seems, "we” put humanity on a pedastel thinking “ah, we are so great, we are the first succesful species on this planet!” GEUSS WHAT? thats not true! dinosaurs were the first succesful species on this planet. it may be super clear by now, i want this stuff to stop, i want to make this world a better place, i want all of this to go to shit so the people can learn that mother earth has given US everything and while at first we were nice and thanking but in time “we” manipulated her, “we” digged into her skin, “we” destroyed her beauty for such a big part, “we” did all this because “we” thought “hey, why the HECK not ruin this planet because we want to split up, fight for technology, slowly kill nature, leech of all the beauty of this world, and wage war in big groups and throw bombs at each other while creating supervirus’ and while we’re on it we can also say that our past generations lived off of nature and that we are above that and change nature to OUR hands. man we are so much better at everything then YOU! pure, innocent, animal that only kills to survive and keeps true to your creator! because WE have mouths and YOU! have beaks and are made to be killing machines! YES WE ARE ABSOLUTLY BETTER” man, look at me, i used the word “we” wich is bad, i believe in reincarnation, the fact that i wanted to use that word says that OR i had to do with it OR i feel guilty for it even thought i didnt do anything. wich says enough for me, in either case, i feel guilty. so you know what? i’m part of humanity, i know that, first time i say it out loud, its not that i hate myself, i hate what “we” as an entirity, as a SPECIES did. i feel guilty, wich means that OR i did something that brought us here in THAT time, OR....... somethig else.. something i cant say without being able to have sarcasm, on a certain level, i just found i have a deep hate for something i am part of. wich makes things harder. alright, maybe i’m guilty, maybe not, but i HIGHLY doubt that i am not guilty. ofcourse, i am not guilty on my own, many are with me, but that doesnt change the case.

i feel like a shithead alright? like i’ve destroyed what made me live.  and... i geuss i kinda have. but i’m not alone. and a whole load of people aint guilty. not saying names. but we all make mistakes, some bigger then others, some destroy the chance for future generations to have any chance of survival and not have any kind of apocalypse to destroy humanity and stuff so the world can be a better place again, some just let a single person fall down a cliff to their death, (i’m saying person, not precisly human, everything is a everyone.) some just make a tiger live instead of a humans... wich would you rather have alive?

ok, i’m done, hate speech over, dont worry about me. i’m fine. worry about the ones that do need you. like family, friends... if you see me as a friend, still dont worry about me, i’ve been like this my whole life, i’ll probably never change, not in this life. well... thats some more stuff out. like i said, there is more to me then just a person saying their a sandwich and derping around a site on the internet. there is more to everyone. some people are just scared to share it, or dont wanna share it, or just want to share is but not with friends and family who know where they live and are gonna worry about them and make everything awkward and are fine with sharing it with a huge site on the internet where everyone can acces it and see their thoughts and locate where they live maybe find their phone number send calls be creepy stuff like that. the internet is a risk i take, and that last person was basically me.
