why is it so fucking hard to get over the people that have hurt you the most??? how can you know how terrible they are for you and still want them???

#i was dating this new guy or at least i thought i was and i was starting to think i liked him and then i found out he sees me as a friend #i found this out while drunk #and drunk me CANNOT be trusted #i immediately started texting this other guy that i'm clearly not over #the same one that i said i ran into the other night (if any of you even have any idea what im talking about lmao idc i just need to vent)#so yeah i just immediately start texting him #he was mad at me because i didnt say hi the other night #so he hadnt been responding #but this time he finally did #he seemed to finally understand when i said that seeing him again was a lot for me and that my hands for literally shaking #and thats why i couldnt go up and talk to him #and we actually started having a good convo #but then he shut down again like he always does #and i know thats just how he is #i know hes just not ready to let me in #he literally said hes not ready to let anyone in #but its like my heart wont listen yk #because we both admitted how much we cared about each other #and my heart just latches onto that #im well aware that if he still wanted me he would say it #ive been so honest with my feelings #the only thing i havent done is come right out and say i wanna be with him and see if this works #but like....i dont have to say that #he knows how i feel #and if he felt the same way he would do something about it #BUT MY HEART WONT LISTEN #i know that i shouldnt but i cant stop hoping that we're somehow going to end up together #i really thought i was moving on with this other guy but HERE WE ARE #the second that doesnt work out im right back here pining over a guy that broke my heart so many times i lost count #god.

I'm rewatching Steven Universe and I will never forgive Fandom for what it did to her

#also watching it at age 19-20 as it was released and experiencing the resulting clusterfuck online fandom response was a wild trip #im finally rewatching it again at 25 and really really feel lucky to have seen it at the age i did #i have completely different perspective on it now that i have 3 young nephews and a neice where before i was in college #the music is still as incredible as it was back then #and the animation #i cant beleive people got honestly and truly upset and violently aggressive about characters being off model sometimes #early stevens voice though kills me after awhile...... the yelling .... but his characters growth and development also being reflected in #his voice changing as he grows up #they also go crazy hard on some scenes #who am i kidding the show was a masterpiece and ahead of its time

He has only moments left to live.#I honestly thought LQR died (adaption memory blur) and I did *not* expect him to show up here.#That said it does act as a way more personal blow to LWJ's reputation for LQR to be there.#By staying on WWX's side he's not only throwing his reputation to the wind but also facing familial judgment.#It hits so much harder when the choice isn't an easy one to make.#Choosing to stand at someone's side when they *have* actually messed up - when they do have faults and flaws - that's love.#Love is hard work! Love is not low maintenance and good days every day.#Love is being able to say 'I am choosing to bear your weight when things are heavy.' Love is doing that reciprocally.#Which is 100% a real life lesson I am passing on #And also a plea for why it is so important we give credit to WWX's atrocities.#He *did* do some of that shit. He isn't fully innocent and it gives LWJ's choice so much more weight.

what she’s thinking: the story brought both carpenter and faulkner to their inevitable end points that have been foreshadowed from the v first episode of the show ambiguity of carpenters death aside she stood on the banks of the river singing like her nana glass and was gunned down by the military and faulkner was drowned dragged delivered by the god and story he had let devour him but. but. before those things happened right before the narrative reached its end both of them stood up and said no! i want to go forward! i want to find something past this whatever it might be i don’t want it to take me yet im going to keep on walking! and it was too late! the thing is it was too fucking late!!!!!!! the aquifer was already flooding the soldiers were closing in she was to hurt to run he can’t swim. the chance had come and gone at the beginning of the episode for any hope of them reaching each other ever again but even though it was too little too late never ever going to be enough they both looked the site of their doom in the eyes and said i do not accept this. not here. not now. i am staring at you– the thing that will eat me — and resolving to pry open the jaws and choose to use the last moments of my life (whether i know it or not) to run and stumble and crawl and cry and sing in the hopes of reaching the people who matter to me more than being made your meal. and of course they got fucking eaten anyways. of course they did bc they were walking towards it from the beginning. but there is a way out, there is a way forward, there is a land beyond the storm that is possible to reach if you choose to step out of the story that has been built for you to find it. we walk on, with a rough and tarnished hope, and a tangled, ruined love. it can end with love, and it can end with kindness. even as the jaws are closing. ours is a world of miracles.
