But if she stays here she's never going to write the book she's supposed to write and she's too smart for that-" Jason broke off and exhaled, trembling. He could still see the look in your eyes when he said he was done. That he didn't love you anymore and he didn't want you to stay.

"Jay," Bruce said softly, "go with her. Or at least go see her. It's just what? A year? Two? You can make that work. You can-"

"Sure. Until I miss a date because I've been shot four times and she can't get here-"

"Do you think we wouldn't get her here?" Bruce snorted. "Or if something happened to her we wouldn't get you there?"

"But-"

"Jason. Explain it to her. Apologize. Don't just walk away."

"You like her huh?"

"She's good for you," Bruce said, smiling. "When you're with her you're less angry."

"I don't want her to be afraid of me," he murmured, cheeks darkening.

"And you don't want her heartbroken either."

"No," he admitted, feeling sick when he thought about you, crying on your couch.

Jason snorted. You'd have to open the door for him before he can give you a gift- but then, if worse came to worst, he could always sneak in your window. He'd always wanted his Romeo moment.

Eeeekk!!! Screams!!! I love sharing how they look so this is...very good question for me. This is a bit of a...long list so I'm putting it under the cut, though I'm going to try and not type more than like three sentences or less for each of them so it's mostly just gonna be pictures. But I'm just showin my humanized ideas for how my primary F/Os look, but I do have humanized headcannons for...I kid you not everyone in the franchise.

YES I love protective Drayton fr its REAL TO ME IN MY HEART. Love love love the idea then when he's angry, he's still sporting a smile but just the Vibes you know. The aura. It's tense. His voice still carries the same cadence but there's an underlying of steel to it. Either you follow what he says or be ready to face off against an Archaludon that's ready to fight for his angry Trainer.

Another fun idea is like, Drayton's the sort that's slow to boil. Not much gets under his skin. He let most things slide off his back but when something really ticks him off, something that makes him angry (maybe blatantly insulting Iris, harassing his friends, etc), it builds slowly like a kettle. When it reaches the tipping point, he just rages.

Like how a Dragon-type would snarl and fight with teeth and fangs, Drayton's the same. He'd let his Pokemon do most of the heavy lifting but Watch Out. He can and will throw hands if it comes down to it. Just dangerous eyes, teeth barred, clenched fists--it's a sight to see.

When he's calmer, it's like a switch being flipped. Suddenly he's all smiles again, maybe making quips here and there to an audience who saw what happens if you make the resident slacker furious. It's a wake-up call to remind people that Drayton is one of the strongest in the academy for a reason

Your honour you are so right chxnbd idk I always picture his stronger emotions to be gradual, there's a build up, like his sadness and anxiety, his anger is the same, he lets a lot of things slide but once that reaches its peak too, he combust. Ough the mental image of him barking his teeth please your honour that's canon to me bc it's like my lil hc w Iris, imagine if he's like that tho bc Iris in my hcs has sharp teeth, so when she's pissed she bares her fangs, imagine if Drayton got that habit too so when he's pissed he would snarl and bare his teeth at others

I do love characters like this tho, the comic relief esque kinda characters, the ones that doesn't seem to have one bad bone in their body, but then w Drayton, everyone would think oh he's pretty chill unlike the rest of his fam (given Iris is oftentimes impulsive too), so maybe, just maybe, nothing gets under his skin yknow

But then he stops joking around them, his smile seems forced as shit, there's this aura surrounding him that just screams if you're gonna fuck around more you're gonna find out what what's it like at the receiving end of Electro Shot. Most of the time ofc, people would back down, they'd rather not face off the academy's former champion, they know how skilled Drayton was, being trained by both Opelucid Gym Leader and the Champion of their region, they know that Drayton could just sweep their team w just his Archaludon

Tho it would also be an interesting take if someone did, like, piss him off, didn't back down, telling him he's just like that bc his family would be there to back him up whatever happens. Imagine Drayton's smile fading, and he's just... Staring at them. Then he laughs, takes out a pokeball, calls out Archaludon, and going on how that other person would really just fuck around and find out, pointing at them, his hands were trembling out of rage, his smile twisted, almost snarling, almost baring his teeth, as he commanded Archaludon to attack

And hey y'know good thing the other person's pokemon was quick on protecting them, who knows what could've happened hahaha

But still y'know, maybe that was the point that no one would really test Drayton anymore, as chill as he is, he will go through lengths to protect his friends

31. What is their goal in life? What impact would they like to leave when they’re gone?

Survive the situation <3 Sun knows that he's meant to be Papa's heir and his goal should be to lead the Khans to triumph but as far as he's concerned his dad has a handle on that and he is going to stay in the background thank you very much. He just wants to get through the day with as few deaths and threats of war as humanly possible in Westside and without anybody asking him if he knows where Papa Khan's son is. Actually no that last bit is fine because he'll just point them in a random direction but yknow what I mean

37. What is the worst injury they have experienced?

Most certainly getting his finger shot off by a sniper. Getting shot hurt, running home with exposed bone hurt, the Khans trying to perform first aid on him hurt, and the Followers performing surgery on it later hurt, the healing process hurt, moving his other fingers hurt, and even the finger that wasn't there anymore hurt. It bothered him for a long time after it happened and even 10 years later he gets phantom pains, especially at night. It's also the worst injury for him emotionally because he was 20 years old and his overconfident "nothing can hurt me" attitude was shattered in an instant and it all changed the trajectory of his life. Plus he feels responsible for the most disastrous war the Khans ever got into against Mr House because he thinks Papa wouldn't have started it if his son hadn't been shot. He's fine tho <3

15. What is their proudest moment / accomplishment?

Honestly his work in Westside he is quietly pretty proud of. In my canon Sun established the trade deals between the Khans and the Fiends and Westside. While he likes some of the Fiends he definitely doesn't like dealing with their leadership and sometimes thinks maybe the deal he got with them was a bad idea. However with Westside he's very happy to be part of their community, he feels like he's actually making a difference and feels valued. Not that he isn't in the Khans but its just different coming from people who are strangers.

This is a tough one because Fleabag obviously loves dogs like dogs are their life and their everything but also.............. Fleabag has always wanted to one day train a Nightstalker (and has been very unsuccessful so far)

Dusty's ex is Red Jaxson and I've kinda passed him around a lil with regards to who I want to pair him up with. I did pair him with Jessup for a while but now I've made Red and Jessup related to each other (Red is Jessup's great great grandfather) it kinda feels weird to me now. I think Dusty and Sun could have some funny chemistry (both charismatic, Dusty can't die and Sun hates death, Dusty also hunted Sun for a little while) but at current time he's probably having some flings but not actually committed to one specific person <3

sooo i finally watched invader zim enter the florpus!! i was gonna wait until i finished the comics first but then i saw that apparently clembrane appears in the comics after the movie?? and i didnt want to risk getting spoiled bc yknow. the movie is when he First Appears so i thought id watch it before picking the comics back up again.

anyway, here r my thoughts on the movie down below!!

it was....pretty good!! there were a LOT of positives for me, but ultimately one major thing that i really wish could have been done better (but we'll get to that in a bit). again, i liked it, i thought it was a good movie! im gonna list all the things i especially liked followed by the things that kinda bothered me a bit so bear with me lol

positivies:

i know this is an Unpopular Opinion, but i actually rly like the art style!! i still think the show's designs r better, but i rly RLY liked how vibrant and smooth the animation was in this film. plus movies based on animated series already tend to have a slightly different art style anyway (the spongebob movies and the mlpfim movie come to mind) so i didnt mind the change. add to that the fact that this movie came out 17 years after the shows cancellation and its no wonder that jhonen vasquez's art has changed since then, plus i'd imagine there was a much bigger art/animation team this time around. anyway ofc i rly loved the part where they Enter The Florpus (lol get it) and go thru all the different art/animation styles, i loooovee stuff like that and i think every animated production should do smth like that at least once solely bc i love it so much. for me

clembrane is rly funny and i love him. im glad hes here now. dib and gaz have TWO dads

PROF. MEMBRANE WAS SO FUCKING COOL????? like omg i was NOT expecting him to be so badass in this???? when he shot the giant fucking Laser Blast out of his arms and wiped out all those robots my jaw DROPPED i was in SHOCK!!!! he was hiding all that power this whole time????? DAMN no wonder hes considered one of the most important scientists on earth

the humor was really fucking funny as always w iz LOLLLL there were multiple points that made me laugh out loud. special shoutout to the callback they made to mortos der soulstealer where zim and dib are yelling at each other and zim keeps going "WHAT????" ASKDJALSKDJ thats one of my fav jokes from the show so im glad they did that here

gir aka my fav was SOOO CUUUTEEE his stupid little peace song was so funny and adorable, i love p much everything he does in this movie as usual SDKJFLDSKJ gir my beloved

even if i have some issues w it (which we'll get to shortly), i DO like seeing that dibs family really do care for him, particularly prof. membrane. hearing him say he was proud of dib did make me smile

im not entirely sure how i feel abt the tallests canonically dying, but i do think its a funny way to kill them off and end their story. like.....ofc they die bc theyre too entitled to steer their spaceship. what else would they die from SAKFJLSDKJ

all that being said, there was one major thing that kind of bugged me a bit, as well as a few minor nitpicks.

negatives:

starting off with my biggest issue, and this might be a confusing one for some, but let me explain: in my opinion, compared to the show, this movie felt just a bit too.....sanitized? "feel-good"-ish? ....happy?? now just hear me out. a large part of what made invader zim so appealing, especially to that older tween/young teen crowd (many of whom fell into the emo subculture), is the fact that, compared to other kids cartoons at the time and even today, it was a very mean-spiritied, cynical, pessimistic show. the main protagonist is a villain trying to take over the world. his rival is the show's antagonist, so audiences may find themselves rooting against him even tho hes trying to save the world. gaz is on no one's side but her own and frequently bullies her brother and does not care what happens to zim. and it works!! thats a key factor in why so many people, myself included, like the show. it isnt afraid to have unhappy/unsatisfying endings, and there are very few "happy" moments (aside from gir, ofc, who is a fan favorite for this reason; his happiness in spite of the dark world around him is a great source of irony and genuine enjoyment). and i feel like this movie lacks a lot of that cynicism and bitterness from the show, yknow? like....i like dib and i want him to succeed, but part of his appeal is knowing that he never will, or at least not in the way he wants. we want dib's family to recognize him, we want gaz to show that she still loves him, and we want prof. membrane to say that hes proud of him. but.....invader zim is not really the type of show. i understand that this is ofc a movie for kids, but again, part of what made the show so appealing was the fact that it was so dark WHILE still being for kids. the closest thing we get to any kind of "mean-spiritedness" is the tallests deaths, which, while deserved and executed in a funny way, only happens at the end. idk i just felt like this movie was kinda....playing it "safe" compared to the show it was based on yknow. but thats just my opinion idk i swear im not one of those "WHOA look at how DARK and EDGY this show is!!! that proves that its NOT FOR KIDS" types, i just feel like the overall tone was a bit lacking compared to the source material

NOW onto the nitpicks!! these werent rly major flaws that interfered w my enjoyment of the movie, just stuff that mildly irked me (lol get it). for starters i wish tak was there :( i know she was originally planned to be in the movie but they had to cut her for time constraints which is fair. still i miss her so much. tak my beloved come back to me

another nitpick, but pretty much the only other thing that i didnt like abt this movie and its SUPER minor: i dont like how frequently gaz's eyes are open throughout this movie?? ALKSJFSDLKLKDS I KNOW THATS A WEIRD THING TO COMPLAIN ABT LMAOOOO i swear it doesnt actually bother me that much but it was kind of distracting. the reason gaz's eyes are almost always closed is to add to that angry, apathetic look she always has; it conveys her personality. when her eyes DO open, they're large and cute, which is a nice contrast to her normal appearance and makes these scenes in the show/comics have more comedic impact. here, they're open a bit too frequently for my liking, and i think it made me perceive her character differently. i think she should have been grumpier LOLLL but that kind of ties back into my first point

but errmm yeah!! despite the block of text i just wrote i still rly liked this movie!! in terms of continuations to the show, however, i think i prefer the comics, although again i have not finished reading them. i just feel like theyre closer in attitude to the original show and have a lot more interesting story ideas. but again, this movie is not bad!! there were a lot of things i rly do like abt it!! im pretty easy to please tbh.

overall id say this movie has like.....7.5/10?? maybe?? its still a good movie and id probably watch it again if given the opportunity. theres a lot of cool things about it and i did enjoy myself watching it. thats just my Onion tho, lmk what u think abt it if youve seen it :) just pls be civil if u disagree w anything i said, i like hearing other ppls perspectives on things!!

22. If you're a fic reader, what's something you like in fics when it comes to ths character? Something you don't like?

i have many opinions about this man. i have so many. anyway theres a specific instance in the fic in absentia* where reigen mentions that he likes to "win" mystery novels by correctly guessing the twist before the ending, which is the sort of deeply weird yet casual behavior that makes me find him endearing in the first place. like reigen is the black coffee blueberry shot guy—hes normal but theres also like, something deeply wrong with him yknow? i like when fics strike the right balance between normalcy and weirdness. if its too much towards one or the other it just kinda stops reading as reigen to me. same if hes too nice—reigen is smart and he can read people, but he struggles with outwardly expressing that he cares about people. he's not always perfectly kind or understanding. theres a reason why he comes off as shady!

in terms of like, Fic Premises i like or dislike, anything thats just like "put reigen in a Situation" is fun. like just forcing him into situations of varying degrees of absurdity and watching him trying to talk his way out of them is always incredibly fun and i love the different ways people interpret the conflict between his wits, insecurities, and ego. im generally not a fan of the reigen adopting teru trope though. like, i have misgivings about legal adoption being seen as the end goal of found family, but i also just dont feel like he'd do that? hes a guy in his early 30s running his own business and living in a teeny apartment, he doesnt have the means to care for a teenage dependent. i think people tend to overplay his fatherliness in general—i think it makes more sense to think of him more like an older brother, or your favorite teacher, someone who knows stuff you dont that you can go to for help for whatever reason. i think the beach omake is the perfect example of reigen subtly trying to provide support without encroaching on terus space and i like it when there's more nuance to their relationship than just flattening them into father and son yknow? which just also falls under my problems with the way pop fandom now treats the concept of found family as nuclear family with extra steps. alas.

hi oomf. i come to talk abt The Music. usually i would have sent something the moment i got done listening to it but i was fighting for my life (migraine 😔) but its another day and i've had more time to rlly digest the songs so at least my thoughts can be more coherent.

as a whole, i enjoyed myself a lot! it was very fun to listen to. there's something INSANE about hearing sh*wnu again. like wowwww i forgot how much i liked his voice??? it was such a joy, i think i ended up rlly latching to his lines. but hy*ngwon did rlly good too, i actually think his breathy tone (dunno how to describe it) was a rlly great fit for some of these songs, it was very neat. i feel like the entire ep sounded exactly like what i would expect from a unit with these two... idk but something about it just felt so natural. so i had a lot of fun! if i have any complaints, is that i wish it was a little longer... i RLLY could use a couple more songs, especially from hy*ngwon. as for more specific thoughts love me a little was reaaaally good, and i think it was the objective best choice as a title track so i'm glad they went with it. the chorus was SOOO good, its been stuck in my head all day. and the last part of the song was also sooo great, it had a rlly strong conclusion i feel. its rlly rlly cool to see hy*ngwon making title tracks, i reaaally hope he gets a chance to do it again. love therapy was not a fave but it had some rlly strong parts... i love love love the part where it's just hy*ngwon talk singing, it scratches such an itch for me. and that one high note by sh*wnu.... shaking throwing up /pos. roll with me was SO.... i think its my favorite. listen.... its the fucking piano... I KNOW IM SO PREDICTABLE BUT WELL.... it had a really fun darker vibe to it that i actually wasnt expecting, so i was very pleasantly surprised. and GODDD THAT PRECHORUS... TRULY A BANGER. play me was very cute, but i dont have too much to say about it. it was very fun but not a fav yknow. and lastly slow dance was SO fun and cute, its rlly romantic sounding and another personal fav. there's just something abt it. hello, again, okay so, a few weeks back we had this thesis project 6 per group and ive had converstaions w all of them except for 1.

by this point i was lamenting over a past love, we werent necessarily together since we were like, idk 14 or smth when it happened and its been 7 years, we kinda drifted apart after graduation since i thought 'it wouldnt last anyway' and i kept rejecting their advances for a year or two, but i still liked them;;; anyway back in 2020 we got in touch again and i told them that i still liked them and i was just dumb and all that and they seemed to return my advances and ofc i asked if they were comfortable and not just going w the flow yknow and they said yes so.

Your university should have free mental health services, if you have insurance you can call and ask what providers they cover, and failing that, there are many therapists and psychiatrists who offer sliding scale coverage for low income patients.

Alright, now that's done, what needs to happen here is something that I know you will not like, but is pretty much mandatory-you need to have a conversation with Graham. It's okay if it turns out you only like that he's interested in you, and when you get to know him you're less into him. You're not asking him to marry you after all. It's also okay if you're not smart or funny or hardworking (I think you're being too hard on yourself, but even so, it's okay).

rant abt queer as folk under the cut <3 read it if you wanna hear abt the messiest show ive ever seen. youll regret it.

ok. right. so queer as folk…god im still so mad abt it lmao but like i need to get all my thoughts out bc how can one show turn out so bad….like it is LITERALLY 8 episodes that are all less than an hour. its probably only ~7h30m of content and so much of it just fucking sucks like. literally. ok anyways it does start off pretty strong, yknow?? first episode is standard for first episodes. introduces all the characters, gives some insight into their relationships and how they know each other, sets up some things yall know how it goes. and then like idk midway thru the ep is like the catalyst for Everything that happens is a shooter goes into babylon (babylon is the club that was a huge focus for the original series and was tied into the reboot) and kills and injures people because its a hate crime. it involves 2 of the main characters heavily (brodie gets shot in the arm protecting mingus who is performing a drag act on stage) and kills brodies best friend daddius, who is also '''dating''' (i use this term loosely, idk if their relationship was defined as this) noah, who is brodies ex boyfriend/fiance (i think??? idk man noah proposed to brodie with a small toy duck or something and then brodie abandoned him to go to med school bc 'oh no commitment is hard :(((' like fuck off actually but w/e) but it affects most of the main characters overall bc like…ofc it would. anyways the ep then kinda goes much of the way the first ep of the original series did w/the lesbian couple having their babies (twins who we dont know the genders of who are named flotsam and jettsam, named bc of mingus which is what the original series did w/justin naming the lesbian couples baby) who are fathered by brodie via sperm donation, and then everything sucks bc we find out daddius died in the shooting :/ which is like definitely a lot for one episode but its just how it is sometimes. also sorry for recapping the Entire first episode but its like literally the only episode that has a coherent storyline so. yeah.

anyways, this made me think the series would focus on like the characters and their healing from this traumatic event and trying to fondly remember their friend and just in generally trying to move on from it and like. it really…isnt like that at all?? like it is for a couple of eps, dont get me wrong, but after the main people spread daddius' ashes the show really moves away from like anything meaningful in terms of the characters healing or literally doing anything good for themselves or each other. like its really incredible. so many of the eps have absolutely MEANINGLESS relationship progress (except julian and noah. theyre the only solid couple) bc literally. none of the relationships fucking matter even a little tiny bit.

i will give a small rundown of things. please bear with me. brodie is the 'main' character (main in quotes bc most of the characters are main characters but brodie is definitely the focal guy bc all the characters are more or less connected thru him) is just a complete asshole. like literally the worst character which is shown to us a bit by way of how he treats mingus (mingus is 17 going on 18 btw. they fall in love w/brodie bc, and this a direct quote, 'he ate his ass in the bathroom' at the club so now theyre in love bc mingus is a teenager and everything is love at that age) which is completely blowing them off (instead of being the mature one bc hes an adult) rather than telling mingus how he feels before he and mingus end up having sex. like wtf?? literally hated that but anyways brodie gets WORSE bc at that point hes just shown to be a fuckboy which yeah definitely sucks but w/e its standard. he could be redeemed from that. but then he just goes on to show how much of a bad person he is by verbally abusing all his friends, manipulating them, lying to them, taking literally ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY for anything, and then apologizing to ppl in the worst way bc when they dont fall at his feet to forgive him, he starts a whole new fight and just ends up being even worse. like i hate brodie so much…god….like he literally did one good thing the entire season which was saving mingus from getting shot. thats literally IT hes a piece of shit the entire rest of the time!!! AHHHHH it makes me so MAD why is the main guy i cannot stand him.

god. it also makes No Sense bc there are scenes that show him and mingus to be like…a thing kind of bc mingus likes him. they really likes him but brodie simply does not care so mingus does end up being with other people which is like…i think at first an effort to make brodie jealous but it literally ends up in nothing which like…alright?? it doesnt really serve a purpose other than being an excuse for mingus being diagnosed with HIV at the end of the series :/ anyways back to mingus and brodie, theres a scene between them in the last ep of mingus being framed by angel wings (parallels a scene from the first ep) which make me think they were going to be a couple, yknow??? like yeah its gross and i hate it but, thru whats been shown, it would make sense. from a storytelling perspective, it makes sense.

but fucking SIKE lmao bc brodie is in love w/ruthie </3 ruthie and brodie do have history tho, so like…ok. they dated in high school before ruthies transition but then broke up bc yknow. things were hard. ruthie was confused back then and wasnt out as trans to anyone yknow how it is. but the thing abt everything that is so. SO confusing is that brodie is gay and ruthie is. a lesbian. but they are in love bc of feelings they never dealt with when they were kids??? EVEN THO RUTHIE HAS A PARTNER AND CHILDREN WITH THAT PARTNER??? but it gets even WORSE bc hey. hey guess fucking what. ruthies partner is cheating on ruthie WITH. BRODIES. MOTHER.

literally…i could not make this shit up if i TRIED. it is absolutely WILD and i hate it all i hate this show it is the messiest show and all of the characters SUCK like brodie literally deadnames ruthie to her face in the middle of a fight they have but they still get their dumbass fucking romantic moment, ending out the series by kissing in the rain like oh. my god. i wish i were dead i wish this show didnt EXIST.

idk if theres anything else to say. i dont wanna think abt this show anymore. kill me
