casually downloading 600 csv files on the laundromat's wifi

#listen. im at the cafe next door amd forgot to ask for the wifi password. but the laundromat has no password so ill just use that.#doing some work. need to move some innocous files (not sensitive literally at all) from one machine to another.#easiest way to do that is remotely download the files from one and then remotely upload files to the other #but. 600 files #eh its ok #chattering

I've been going through and organizing my CAS catalogue (alphabetically by creator name and/or function), and it is a long, tedious process, but oh my God, is it worth it. My CAS looks so good. 😭

#it's going to be SO much easier to find things ahhh #it's also making me do some much needed cleaning #(600+ files deleted so far :x)

isnt it crazy that someone can make a completely legal app for ios but if apple doesn't want it in its app store because of lol lmao reasons you have to then go through a gazillion loops just to get this one app and also millions of people buy apple's products because they don't see the problem with an operating system that fully controls what you can or can't have on your device and also has several other major problems. insane

#m #like ive been taking my 3ds to english classes because the kids find it more fun than regular ol' excerises #and also watching movies gets stale pretty fast #but out of the 9 games i own only three let me change the language to english #because pokemon and apparently professor layton too thought it was a very smart idea to have region-locked games 🤪#but getting a ds emulator on ios is soooooooo goddamn dififcult. cant just download a zip file you have to hack your iPad or smth #cant download music either you have to download itunes and put your music files on iTunes and then sync your iPad to itunes #but also it makes a backup copy everytime even though i don't want one and there's no way to turn that off #and also cant transfer files to your ipad you have to do it through a third party app and they all have really small storage limits #and another gazillion issues that windows or even android don't have 🧨💣🧨🧨💣🧨💣🧨💣🧨💣🧨💣#hate this thang. i cant believe people told me it was worth spending 600€ on this than buying another cheap ass drawing tablet

#personal #sometimes you want JUST the words and you dont want to worry about any weird format stuff #or proprietary formats. or file compatibility across devices #anything can open a .txt file #just had to back up my 600 notes on my phone in a hurry b/c i realized my backup app wasnt saving the weird #hidden android folder theyre in. saved them as txt in a sensible place in internal storage & backed that up yeehaw

what i should be doing: writing. seriously i need to be fucking writing what i did do instead the last hour: re-sorting my books. which would be less dramatic if I did not have very many books and very little space, which makes 'sorting' a very generous kind of description

My layer hoarding must be stopped.

When I draw digitally, I tend to hoard all my sketch layers, just in case I want to reference them in the future.

This includes all the way up to the final render.

Currently I have 5 sketches of Azirabirb for just one pose and I'll probably have 5 more by the end of it LMAO

Finally wiping my old windows laptop that I hate. Why did I not know it was going to be this easy

#i should’ve done this literally months ago but anyway #it’s SO simple. i put all my files (which weren’t a lot because i quite literally have always hated working on this thing) onto a usb #and reset the laptop. it’s removing all apps and files and my account #i’m going to trade it in to a place that’ll give me £200 for it and use that towards a macbook #yes i knowww but consider: i like macs and i don’t want to learn linux and windows 11 is actually toxic waste #and i need a laptop so fuck me i guess #i should’ve just bought a new macbook instead of this one but i was like ‘oh windows are cheaper; it’ll save me money’#literally no. getting a Good windows laptop set me back £600. which is still less than the mac i want #but i’ve barely used this thing and i can only sell it for £200 #which means i’ve lost £400. which is the difference between the mac i wanted and the windows laptop anyway #at least i can put this cash towards a new laptop. and i have saved enough for it #i’m just annoyed that i didn’t buy the macbook last year. i’d be sitting right now with a beautiful computer instead of this absolute pile #of crap that i have to wipe and drop off at an electronics store #it’s irritating #personal
