Okay but is nobody gonna talk about "my father drank gin" and "put a bullet through my head before i drink gin" like is nobody going absolutely insane over that-

Well i am and im gonna talk about it.

The tragedy of children picking up drinking because they saw it in their parents and so it's much easier to fall into it. And their brain justifying being drunk on something else, as a defence mechanism, against feeling just as bad as their parent. They're drinking something else, so they can't be exactly like them right? But in reality it's often just as bad and sometimes even worse.

This is also genius because all you get is two innocent lines and that's all it takes for you to realise Crozier's past with alcoholism.

"my father drank gin" could just be a thing you say during a toast. "aah, my father loved gin, it's nice remembering things about him" but no. Here it's said so bitterly and hatefully, you know for a fact he drank a lot and Crozier HATED that about him. We can also assume he's dead from something alcohol induced.

And then the other line "put a bullet through my head before i drink gin" - despite what the words actually say - is also something you could say as a joke, when your friend offers you gin, you know. "you want me to drink WHAT??" Sort of thing. But here you kind of feel like... He means it. It's said with so much resentment and stubborness, he might as well mean it literally. "Kill me before i become my father." Because Crozier hated him so much he wants to become nothing like him. Even when it's through impressive mental gymnastics.

It's just agony to think about-

Seeing Brynjolf alone at the Ragged Flagon as he brushes everyone off, stating that he's busy when he is clearly not, is... frustrating. I had to give this behavior an explanation, so I put myself in his position: Brynjolf has just handed over his life and afterlife to a Daedric Prince. Was there really no other choice to avenge the Guild, did he really have to sacrifice his freedom forever, even after death? Empty chests can be replenished with gold, a new Guildmaster can be elected, but he will never have his future back. Maybe he even starts to understand Mercer Frey's choice to betray Nocturnal. There at the tavern, drinking ale and keeping his face hidden to conceal the pain, Brynjolf realizes that there is no escape from the fate he was forced to accept.

This is a masterlist of several - non connected - one shots based on pictures of Seonghwa, which somehow gave me (and or someone else) the idea of him being one or being devoted to some sort of deity. Ateez being a cult agenda is strong with this series...

I think the comments about the proportions have nothing to do with thinking you’re not feminist enough or don’t know what you’re doing and more to do with the fact that the past few drawings of Jyn/Cassian have looked more like father/daughter than two grown adults or even teens/twenties. He looks 30-40 and she looks 12. She is absolutely smaller next to him IRL but even if the ratio is correct, it doesn’t come across that way in the drawings. Telling you how it comes across is not an insult.

You are very talented and have obviously been doing this a long time. Your proportions for other things are pretty spot on and I’m sure you know what you’re doing. That doesn’t mean it doesn’t help to sometimes hear feedback. If you don’t any, that’s fine, but I will admit your recent Jyn/Cassian work has made me uncomfortable with the way Jyn looks so much like a child next to Cassian. If you’re drawing her as a teen when Cass looks like a fully grown adult man, then that’s uncomfortable for a lot of people. But it’s your art. If you like it keep doing it.

You know, just because I answer one anon that is not an invite for others to open up a garbage can of negativity in my face.

But just for the fun of it, I'm going to answer you:

There is more to a person looking 12 than the size of their eyes and stylisation of their faces. The body is completely different, and just because I stylise Jyn more than Cassian does not mean I am drawing her as a child.

Age is portrayed in an array of ways, and if I wanted to draw Jyn looking twelve (which I have done, by the way) she would be portrayed as such:

If I do not stylise Cassian as much as I do Jyn, and that makes him seem older than her, it is because as a European I am in a position of historical privilege, and I do not feel comfortable messing with the physical traits of a Mexican man.

I you want art that is less stylised because my art makes you uncomfortable, you can just block me.

There are other artists that draw Jyn in a more realist style. I can happily recommend @amikoroyaiart
