FLOWERS ROTTING AS A METAPHOR FOR DEATH/DECAY

stems droop, go yellow like aged teeth. petals curl, go dry like paper, like corpse skin. the beauty of youth can only be preserved through unnatural means. roses drowned in silica gel, pins behind the eyes. glass vase, open casket. everyone is watching you. why aren't you moving? are you too weak to grow toward the light anymore?

MEAT AS HORROR.

meat hooks and conveyor belts and cold metal. the warm eyes of a stupid animal, completely unaware of the watering mouths that await it. "cut here" lines drawn on the body, slabs of steak that bleed and bleed, unrelenting. are you hungry? would you kill to stay alive? you feel like prey, or maybe like predator. sinew is stuck between your teeth, and gore dribbles down your chin. don't chip your teeth on the bones. you feel like the top of the food chain, and don't see the eyes gleaming behind you.

JUST CATHOLIC TRAUMA.

(tw for implications of self harm here) god is judgment. every action is weighted, every action is watched. tally marks on a scoreboard, on skin, your body on a golden scale, and you can't shed enough weight to stop it from tipping. worship isn't enough. sacrifice isn't enough. guilt lays across you in layers. blankets, sheets of snow, cling-wrap cutting off your circulation. you can't save yourself, but you can never stop trying. fire licks at your heels, a constant reminder of what is inevitably waiting for you.

you will never need anyone else. outsiders will hurt you, aim to corrupt you and ruin you and leave you in pieces, but your family will always be there for you. everyone has the same eyes, the same smile. the same sickly yellow light cast over their skin. the same tastes, the same food that melts to gray sludge on your tongue. family recipe. hugs last too long, touches linger and sting like sunburn. don't stray too far. if you come back looking like a wolf rather than a sheep, the dogs will eat you.

THE HORROR OF THE MOTHER.

complete control over you, your complete reliance on her. you are a helpless child, and she makes every decision for you, asserting to you that she knows what's best. hysterical, emotional, even in her love for you, especially in her hatred for you. the fruit of her loins has rotted, and you cannot escape her scorn. distance means nothing if you're doomed to become her.

Fangfest | Temperance

Yeah, I did the thing and drew Perry for the Temperance tarot. Perry is technically a Revenant, but whatever lol, the Tzimisce made her. Her full name is Temperance Zantosa, because some Tzimisce think they've got jokes.

Perry is employed -- along with her Pack -- by the Tal'mahe'ra. As a Zantosa, she has long learned how to use her body to get what the pack needs, or whatever her allies of the moment need. She's nonchalant about it, and it's hard to tell what bothers her and what doesn't. It's a rough life, even if she acts like it isn't. Perry's reliance on her packmates is what's gotten her through some nasty times, because while they're agents of the True Black Hand, they're still... just revenants. Still that status is enough to ensure they can get out of trouble fairly easily by asking for it.

Ooooh I finally get to answer RO asks again I'm so excited 😭 Under the cut because it's loooong.

Beck: Will throw down for the MC no questions asked. It wouldn't be the first time they've been in a fight, and if it was to make some pushy asshole back off? Oh they wouldn't even hesitate. Dating or friends, it doesn't matter.

Croft: Despite usually struggling a lot with social situations, Croft grew up dealing with rich assholes. When they need to they can pull out a cold smile and razor-sharp politeness. They can dress someone down with a few words. They'd walk up, coolly insult the stranger, before ignoring them completely and asking MC if they're ready to leave.

Jay: Not only is Jay a big sibling but they're also very protective over their friends. If they saw some asshole flirting with MC when they clearly didn't want it they'd be furious. They desperately would want to fight them, but instead they'd give the person a piece of their mind and then try to focus on making sure MC is okay.

Perri: Unfortunately Perri is terrified of confrontation, so they wouldn't yell at the person or fight them. Honestly, they'd probably do something like 'accidentally' spill their drink on the person. Divert the attention and slip away with MC while the other person is distracted.

Ravi: Ohhhhh Ravi would Not Like That. I mean, none of the ROs would, but he doesn't like bullies and he especially doesn't like people harassing his friends. Ravi would probably walk up and interrupt, smiling wide and eyes sharp, and make intense eye contact until it became clear that this is an unwise course of action. He'd just make inane small talk but his vibes would be terrifying.

Yasmin: Isn't subtle, and would be immediately furious. She'd charge right up and chew the person out. Honestly, assuming this is happening in Easthaven, she'd straight up be like: "Does your mom know you enjoy harassing people? Hm? Would you like her to?" She's incredibly respected in town lmao she could absolutely ruin someone if she wanted to. It's not smart to mess with her.

britta perry is such an important character shes a woman who is struggling for and with independence and identity and despite sometimes being shallow in her activism she genuinely cares about people and she is messy and not put together and very human and i am soo mad the writers didnt afford her a single shred of dignity in the later seasons

(the long version is several days long, and involved an entire emotional rollercoaster that no one wants to hear. long story short, i got the pigs and they are perfect in every way)

anyways! they're named Murry and Perry (Left to right in first doodle lol) (i haven't wanted to pester them very much while they're adjusting so i don't have any good pictures otherwise i'd share b/c i don't think i did them justice. they are very spikey and their colors are a lot more mixed, especially Perry's.) and i love them so damn much and i haven't even had them half a day yet.
