Just kind of rant-ish, but I feel like Cabby is REALLY misunderstood. She's one of the few characters in the show id thought people would really connect with/relate to, but most of what I see is slander or hate. I could see why people argue that she is a 'stalker' or 'creepy' but those are the same people who also really like fan. Fan and Cabby have some things in common that most people forget??? They both are deemed, 'smart', both know a lot about the contestants/the show, and were at one point hated by others because of it. Cabby was also in the right by trying to get Fan eliminated (he literally invaded her privacy and some people just ignore that????). Now, her teammates had some reason to vote for her. Expecting people to act just how they're written in file? Thinking you're friends with someone (test tube) when really they either don't like you or see you mutually? *cough* AUTISM *cough cough*.

(This next bit is kinda vent-ish so if you feel uncomfy reading that kind of stuff, you should prob click off now!!!)

Cabby has a problem that I and others face, that being unable to truly understand the closeness of friends. This is really brought up in her relationship with test tube, her looking up to her and really wanting to be her friend/ally, and test tube only seeing her as an enemy, or rarely, just a teammate. In episode ten when Cabby rejoins, She is very surprised at the others on the island cheering for her after winning. She obviously didn't realize they viewed her this way.

It's hard learning that your idol, your 'best friend', your role model only sees you as a friend, an acquaintance, a nobody, or even an enemy. It leaves this void, a hole, and you feel betrayed, stabbed in the back, and you're just mad at yourself that you didn't realize it. Usually, you feel this way until you find 'them' and your whole world revolves around them, and the cycle repeats. The best feeling in it is the little attention, the conversations even with said person.

Not trying to put the blame on anyone, so I'm not gonna say who, but recently I had a conversation with one of my idols, and I really see them as a friend!! I wanna support them as a friend!!! I wanna make gifts, show my admiration, and joke with them!!! but whenever I realize that they have other friends, or that they barely know me, I feel crushed!!! I feel that void, the hole in my chest from before. It aches, realizing that I have/had no chance of being friends with such a cool person!!

(this feels like im getting a fking BOULDER off my back just by saying this)

(it also felt really hard to write this because i was CONSTANTLY rephrasing everything, hoping it never sounded too complicated or obvious. There's also just lines here im just plainly confused with, but whats the point of caring about that now if no one's gonna see this [probably] )

HOOO BOY OKAY nickel and balloon. it was a bumpy ride fellas. going immediately from s2 where nickel was kinda a POS to s3 where they suddenly became acquaintances was a little weird to me. (especially in that one episode where silver & candle interrogate nickel about baseball. no suitcase mention?? huh???) but it was cool to see their journey! the buddy-buddy thing seemed weird throughout earlier episodes because in s2 balloon and nickel kinda hated each other's guts so i'm glad that was covered in a later episode and that their friendship was actually solidified. BUT that doesn't leave nickel off the hook if he dont march his ass up to suitcase and say sorry the minute they go back to season 2 i'm gonna have a WORD with that boy

BOT!!! OH BABY BOT they are SO adorable and i loved the reveal that they were a robot! i was so mystified on how bow was magically alive at the beginning and seeing that it was just a product of tt and fan's grief was very heartbreaking... but seeing bot evolve into their own person was genuinely so so so beautiful and the representation for queer folks is done very gracefully and it's very wholesome. seriously im not even trans and i was tearing up like a little bitch y'all. fan and test tube are the parents ever it's so cute and they are the cutest fam ever

silver spoon and candle.... hrrrmmm you are certainly funny little guys.... i would like to put you in a jar and study you.... their sudden intense craving for winning was a little jarring but their dynamic is funny. i didn't like silver much at first but he def grew on me especially in the finals, and candle's friendship with yinyang was really cute too (still bawling he got out i really grew to love him.) AND dont think i didnt see ur blushing in ep 17 silver. im onto you

i already covered bot but i just needed to say their friendship with painty is the BEST THING and for some reason painty just stating they were nonbinary made me unnecessarily happy like YES KING (NONGENDERED) GO LIVE UR TRUTH WE LOVE YOU

cabby... oh you are an interesting little gal. i saw her design before ever watching iii and i was like wow! what a critter! but i'll be so honest at first i didn't like her because her information obsessed demeanor seemed very cold and calculating to me (and i'm so biased for fan and tt so when she got them out i was like. Girl.) but now that i understand her whole character arc, how she learned that its not always about the "facts" and how to lean on people, it was really heartwarming and shes rly grown on me. im a cabby appreciator

oh and, im not really hurt-hurted by them, i feel like mocha (mochablogger), liam (moonmxple) and mac (blairdrawzstuff) are most affected. They did have a book with my character in it but in a different universe or something (without my consent nor credit btw). Anyway under the cut is my observant. the background/before:

mocha was working on a little story and xe said we could be in it! so obviously me and my friends signed up for the fun, not really expecting anything, the story was called "The Traumatized Cup", thats when we first meet him.

In one of the chapter mocha had introduced rubix, at first i didnt really think much about him, i was just aware of his presence, i do notice him and mocha started to become friends and i thought that was great :)

so rubix (or according to rubix, "jasp" was roleplaying) and mocha were friends on facebook, and they roleplayed there i think, this i just know but apparently he said crap about liam (mocha's platonic partner and my best friend). Mocha is very sensitive and even in roleplay xe's still uncomfortable with what rubix said

"bezel's" divorce headcanon (and possible influence on further problems):

rubix said bezel forced him into making the 1st one, even if thats true, rubix said the divorce was bezel's headcanon but hes the one that decided to post the 3rd one ("okay i asked facemoji again..")

EPISODE IN REVIEW - THE SEASON THREE FINALE!!!!

spoilers for episode 19 of inanimate insanity invitational!!!!!!!!!!!

oh. my. gosh.

this was such a beautiful episode, most things felt resolved and it was just SO GOOD

if you didn't see my previous posts, i was up at 2am to watch this episode due to timezones, and it was so so worth it. let's begin!!!!!

oh the character development is amazing, this versus how lost he was at the beginning of season two is just so interesting and amazing to see. i'm so so proud.

full honesty, i have a lot of trouble emotion-wise, and hearing this kinda caught me off guard because, as much as i'd like to ignore it, springy's never been anything more than a villain to me.

it helped me realise that, yeah, springy is another character like everyone else, and they have feelings, and they have capacity for goodness. it really got me thinking, especially since this line really had me relating to them. but ah well, onwards!!!!

seeing cabby get pissed was really funny, but also she's turning the broken insult walkie talkie presented to mephone in the last episode. it was very very cool, a reclamation of power really.

also this was such a pivotal moment for her, and as someone who apologises for literally anything people deem wrong, this was incredibly inspirational and soooo cool to see.

the poor guy, he's been nothing but berated this whole episode

the way i literally almost screamed at two in the morning i was shivering and shaking throughout the entire episode and this was like my sould left my body HE'S BACK and oohhhhohohohoo GUYS GUYS GUYS

this was such a beautiful scene; a robot who sacrificed himself for a happy ending for so many others encouraging another robot whom was the living result of his sacrifice to embrace the life he has. THEY DRIVE ME MAD DO YOU SEE?????????

overall this was a great episode. though i feel some dynamics, such as mephone 4 with 4s, and silver spoon with candle weren;t explored nearly as much as i would've liked, they crew really did an amazing job on this episode.

Haha taking a small break to see how much Me and Cabby act, and me reading people by their flaws was always the reason I missed out on so many friendships, and seeing Cabby struggle and get tips from Test Tube was really heartwarming to me (Do keep in mind, I literally kin Cabby)

Random avian au questions!

Do the wings need to be preened? If so, how do they do it considering just how big their wings are? Can they do it themselves or do they need a buddy to help?

Do the avians have any bird instinct stuff going on (like nesting or flock stuff) or are they just regular people?

Is infrastructure super different to accommodate them and their wings or is it more or less the same as canon?

And finally, a very silly question: Who do you think would be most likely to swoop at people like a territorial hawk?

1) Yes, they do need to be preened! Based on how much they fly around, the feathers might need to be fixed daily or weekly. Most of the time they can maneuver their way around their own wings, but they do need help concerning the backs due to limited muscle movement and whatnot. Luckily, feathers closer to the back tend to move around less due to their small size, so it takes around a month or two before they have to tend to those feathers in particular. Even though they often can’t see the feathers that need to be fixed, they can feel little pinpricks of discomfort whenever there’s a feather out of place, and other avians tend to point out that sort of thing to each other.

2) Kinda sorta.

They flock together like how people of similar interests and needs tend to do, but they do so in a way that you rarely ever see just one or two avians in a neighborhood. If there’s one avian living somewhere, you’ve got a good chance of finding at least three more families in the same area. Similarly, if one family leaves a place, the other families nearby will feel compelled to do the same; avians know what’s save for avians.

In terms of nesting, not really. However, they do have a habit of living in one place for their entire lives. If they settle somewhere, it’s rare that they’ll leave that place to settle elsewhere. Because of this, they often spend a lot of their lives traveling and looking for someplace they love most.

Avians do tend to inherit specific traits from whichever species of bird they are. For example, Shrike avians often find work as butchers or hunters, and have a startling carnivorous streak. Bearded Vulture avians have a palate for bone and its marrow, and have extremely acidic stomachs, giving them a fast digestive system concerning other foods.

3) Infrastructure isn’t that different, really. Most of the time avians aren’t as big as, say, Cabbie, so not many steps have been taken to allow maximum comfort for those kinds of avians. Actually, not many steps have been taken to allow maximum comfort for bigger people in general; everything is made to fit the statistically average person, no bigger and no smaller.

However, there are some places that extend their warmth to those kinds of people. Some restaurants have bigger chairs and booths made with avians in mind; avian-owned places often have open-back chairs or even cushioned sills (think of armrests) made to allow customers to relax their wings. Still though, these places aren’t as common as you might think.

In actuality, the most produced ‘aid’ for avians are corset-like binders that fasten their folded wings to their backs (in the words of the inventor, “so they don’t take up too much room”). A lot of avians own these binders; some businesses that function with little space (think factories or office buildings) require them, and many restaurants and parties will have them on the dress codes. But even so, avians wear them in their day to day life.

Seeing an avian with their wings fully out is like seeing someone in swim trunks in the winter. You might spot it once or twice, or a handful of times if you’re on a campus, but it’ll surely be a strange sight. Like any corset or binder, these things are harmful over time; they can restrict breathing, wear away wing joints, damage feathers, and cause cramps within muscle groups. However, avians tend to look past these things in favor of being accepted by society. The world is still quite harsh.

4) Blade. Absolutely Blade. If you haven’t seen my spectacular vision concerning the wing anatomy of our dear helicopters, take a glance at it; those fellas have two pairs of wings! Hoo boy. You know what that means? They’re fast as all hell.

Remember at the beginning of the movie, when Blade was one thread away from snapping at Dusty after the poor racer had crossed through his flight path? Chief would’ve dove at him for sure, instead of the careful landing he made in the movie. He wouldn’t have hit him, but he definitely would’ve clipped the ground nearby and scared the guy half to death.

Generally speaking, however? Ripslinger. We all know it.

- Okay y’all already know I’m generally a Silver Spoon fan but. Why was Silver Spoon like that…….. I did not like the way he acted in this episode. I didn’t enjoy it even in a silly haha way? Like HE FELT… SO OFF FROM USUAL maybe that’s just me though. IDK. But I was not a fan of him this episode it was not pleasant to watch

Blueberry 6/10 he is silly as in he is a funny person, but not silly billy, he's not like silly in a pathetic silly cat way. He's just a funny guy, tells good jokes, good sense of humor.

Lifering 8/10 Soooo silly he's such a silly fun guy, but he takes his job seriously and I can respect that.

Tea Kettle 7/10 Big silly, but watch out!

Clover 7/10 In that she's soooo silly with how back handed she is while smiling adorably. "I thought I had a little admirer <3" She's so back handed and it's something I never see abt her but it's hilarious.

Cabby 8/10 The very fact that she snort laughed at shitty office humor, she's a silly billy, just a silly little guy.

Bot 6/10 They're more fun than straight up silly. Like they're super fun to be around and they're a little silly, but I respect them.

Goo 10/10 SOOOOO silly I love him he's like made of silly.

Silver Spoon 9/10 In that he's not Intentionally silly but he's SOOO silly. He is just preconditioned for being assigned silly billy. He's the silliest guy who's convinced he's actually very serious 24/7. Gaslight gatekeep malewife <3

Candle 4/10 She's kinda silly in some ways but you really have to dig for it. Her silliest thing is jsut a bad taste in people to befriend (silver).
