The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has recalled a selection of plant-based drinks after discovering they could be contaminated with listeria.   Stores across Canada are being told not to sell, serve or distribute the following 15 products from the Silk and Great Value brands, and anyone who has them in their fridge should not consume or use them. The recalled products were manufactured by Danone Canada.

Why do so many people online act like not voting is some kind of noble revolutionary thing? There is functionally no difference between someone who doesn't vote because both sides suck and the much larger number of people who are just too lazy to go to the polls. Like, whatever make your own choice, I understand the apathy the state of US politics can cause, but you're a goofball if you pretend it is accomplishing anything for anyone. It isn't an act of protest.

I went to the Chinese Canadian Museum in Vancouver today! It was informative, gut-wrenching, and SO WELL DONE. This might be the most well put together museum I have ever been to, and you BET I am going to be doing a video about it!

A third person from Ontario has died in a Listeria outbreak connected to Great Value and Silk plant-based milks, the province's Ministry of Health said Monday. The person was from Toronto, the city's public health agency told CBC News on Tuesday morning. They were the second person from Toronto whose death was connected to the outbreak.  The Public Health Agency of Canada said this week there were 20 confirmed cases of people sickened by listeriosis — the illness caused by the Listeria bacteria — in four provinces. The affected products include Silk brand oat milk, almond milk, coconut milk, almond-coconut milk and almond-cashew milk, as well as Great Value brand almond milk with best before dates up to and including Oct. 4 and containing the number 7825 in the product code.
