Tinkered with digital art rendering and coloring using Robin as a base (this is how she looks by the end of chapter 4 :3c)
It took a while but that’s just the price to pay for exploration!! Eyes seemed a bit too vibrant on the second one so I combined the more neutral tone of the first one with the shading of the second one. My personal favorite methinks
Yes, my artstyle had a crisis, and no, I’m not posting this in the middle of the night when I should be sleeping SHSHSHSHSHHHHHHH

while Hunch's fight with Dominic was hilarious (I snorted so hard I hurt myself) I can't stop thinking about what a poetic story it would have been to have Curiosity fighting Self Doubt.
To see the mind of a brilliant scientist, arguably a mind that is powered by curiosity, lose and fall to self doubt. If they went with a more classic fight, we'd be seeing curiosity literally being beat into a pulp by the personification of "I'm not good enough." If they went with a psychological fight, we'd be seeing curiosity - this trait that loves novelty, that dives into everything with glee, getting torn apart and starting to believe "I'm not smart enough to try. I bet that's a stupid question." It would have been poetic in a heartbreaking way.
But Hunch Curio was built to take hits. Bounce back. Curiosity might kill the cat, but satisfaction always brings it back.
It would have been so powerful to see Curiosity weather the hits, and bounce back. Bloody and bruised, but still inquisitive, still filled with awe and wonder and glee at the world. I would have been bawling if we got a scene along the lines of Self Doubt going "Why won't you DIE?", as Curiosity takes hit after hit after hit and bounces back.

Town Ghosts
Ok, so this is inspired by this post.
Danny almost lost his balance as he turned on Casper High’s street corner. Catching himself in the nick of time, he resumed his uncontrolled dash down the streets of Amity and finally made it to his locker just in time for the first bell to ring. As he looked up from his locker and noticed how sparsely populated the halls were, Danny frowned. First bell indicated they had 5 minutes before the actual beginning of class, and usually that meant a decent amount of stragglers were still chilling around.
“Damn it, do we have an exam?” Danny mumbled as he took out his phone to text Sam and Tucker.
Wheres everyone? He sent
Assembly, came the answer from Tucker to which Sam added, We saved u a seat
Danny didn’t bother answering and instead quickly gathered his things from his locker before hurrying down to the assembly hall. Everyone was talking which meant he wasn’t late, and he managed to catch Tucker waving him over. Danny maneuvered his way to his friends before sagging into the promised saved seat.
“I swear, if Boxy wakes me up at 2am again to rave about packing peanuts one more time I will put him in Soup Time for a month.”
Sam winced. “Rough night, huh?”
Tucker patted his shoulder in commiseration.
Danny closed his eyes. “At least tell me assembly is taking Lancer’s period?”
“We still have half of it afterwards,” Tucker answered.
Before Danny could groan, the teachers started shushing the crowd. As he looked up to the shoddy stage, Danny could see a blonde woman wearing all black.
“Nice boots,” Sam whispered.
“Hello everyone,” started the woman on stage. “My name is Black Canary, you may know me as a member of the Justice League.”
At that Danny sat up straight, suddenly way more aware. Simultaneously, a wave of whispers started amongst the crowd which was quelled by the numerous teachers shushing everyone. Once silence had been more or less reestablished, Black Canary started again.
“I am here as a spokesperson in our efforts to raise awareness about discriminations against meta humans. This initiative started as a personal project of a lot of the founding members of the Justice League. Did you know that recent studies that show that violence against meta humans is disproportionately more frequent than violence against baseline humans? In fact-”
And one she continued for the next half hour, after which she had some students distribute some pamphlets with different phone numbers on them. There was a little more time dedicated to a few exercises and a video of a testimony from a former meta human criminal. As the presentation progressed, Danny started relaxing more and more, to the point that he was half asleep when time for questions was announced.
“What about ghosts?” Paulina’s voice came through the mic the teachers had passed around, “Are they covered by all those fancy laws you mentioned?”
And yep, Danny was fully back to being awake now.
“Ghosts?” repeated Black Canary, in an even tone but before Paulina could answer, another voice cut through the room.
“Ghosts aren’t people, Paulina.” Valerie’s voice came through sharp and clear.
Paulina’s eyes narrowed in on her former friend. “Says who?”
“Says science!” Valerie exclaimed. “Though I shouldn’t expect a Phantom groupie to understand that.”
“You’re just jealous.” Paulina flicked her hair dismissively.
Danny sank into his seat as he tried to block out the very public argument happening in front of him. Black Canary seemed to be observing the exchange with curiosity, while the teachers were trying to reach Paulina to get the mic out of her hand. There were a few students with their phones out, filming the whole debate and Danny would bet it would be on the school forum by the end of the day, probably sparking yet another Phantom debate.
Just then, as if it wasn’t enough, Danny could feel his ghost sense activating. As he turned his head, he caught a green shimmer at the edge of his vision zooming past the window.
“Come on,” he mumbled. “Gimme a break.”
“Do you want backup?” Sam asked.
“I got it,” Danny grumbled. “Cover me.”
“For sure, dude,” Tucker answered.
Danny stood up and shimmied his way down the rows of chairs to a teacher with Paulina and Valerie still arguing in the background. When Danny reached the nearest teacher he asked for leave to go to the bathroom and by was granted it after which a teacher finally managed to get the microphone away from Paulina. As Danny walked out of the room, he could hear Black Canary’s fading voice asking a question as he got further and further away.
“What do you mean by 'ghosts'?”

I don't know if anyone has already talked about this but the statements Norris/Martin and Chester/Jon each read feel QUITE fitting somehow like
Martin's first lines: "I'm so sorry. I should have listened. I just couldn't face the thought of the rest of my life not hearing him again, I had to try."
Come on. It awfully sounds like an apology for sending the fears over. "I had to try" as in "I had to try to end up Somewhere Else with him". "I should have listened", he should have known Jon was going to doom their first plan.
And also the rest of the statement, which talks about someone going to look for their lover and finding him irrevocably changed, unrecognisable, more monster than human.
I don't know, I think we can draw parallels here from season 5, how Jon was becoming more monster than human before Martin's eyes.
And then, Jon's statement, literally about curiosity killing the cat, about someone being SO drawn to the Magnus Institute that it leads to their doom.
His first lines (excluding the whole "forums.lostcityurbex.com" etc etc) are: "Anyone knows what the deal is with the Magnus Institute?"
It's quite shocking to hear the sentence in his voice, someone who has become so tied to the Magnus Institute, but for him the story probably started like that too. With curiosity and feeling drawn to the institute.
It's so interesting to me that this first statement we hear from "Chester" is a warning. The "Canary" has been in the Magnus Archives, something terrible has happened to him. You should get away from the Magnus Archives. Please don't get close to the Magnus Archives.
Also, someone has said this before, but the main character of this statement is named Red Canary. Canaries were commonly used in mines to notify the miners if there was a carbon dioxide leak. If the Canary died and stopped singing, they knew they had to leave immediately.
It almost seems to me like they're both trying to comunicate somehow, in the only way that they can. Norris tries to tell their story, Chester tries to warn the OIAR workers.
Idk. Food for thought.

CANARY ISLAND ~
Tumblr media
-The one where Pedri invites his gf to his hometown with him-
On a warm summer evening, Pedri looked into his girlfriend’s eyes with a glimmer of excitement and nerves. He took a deep breath and finally mustered the courage to speak his heart, "Mi amor, there's something I've been meaning to talk to you about."
Her eyes sparkled with curiosity and affection, "What is it love? You can tell me anything."
He smiled, grateful for her understanding nature, "I was thinking... how about we go to the Canary Islands together? It's my hometown, and I'd love for you to see where I grew up and meet my family."
Y/N's heart skipped a beat at the thought of exploring a new place with Pedri, "The Canary Islands? That sounds like a dream. I'd love to go with you."
Pedri's face lit up with joy, "Really? That's fantastic! I can't wait to show you around and introduce you to my family."
As their departure date approached, Y/N felt a mix of excitement and nervousness. She knew how much this trip meant to Pedri, and she wanted to make a good impression on his family and friends. However, she couldn't help but feel a touch of insecurity. She worried that they might have high expectations of her as the girlfriend of a famous footballer.
On the day of their flight, they boarded the plane hand in hand, ready for a new adventure together. The moment they landed in the Canary Islands, Pedri's eyes sparkled with pride as he showed Y/N around his beloved hometown. He pointed out his favorite spots, shared childhood stories, and introduced her to the locals who welcomed her warmly.
Y/N was taken aback by the beauty of the islands and the genuine warmth of Pedri's family. They embraced her as one of their own, and any fears of not fitting in melted away. She felt a sense of belonging, knowing that she was loved and accepted by those who mattered most to Pedri.
As they explored the sandy beaches, picturesque landscapes, and indulged in delicious local cuisine, Y/N and Pedri grew even closer. The trip became a journey of not just discovering a new place but discovering each other on a deeper level.
However, as the days went by, Y/N couldn't help but notice a familiar girl from Pedri's past, Isabella, who seemed to be getting close to him. She observed them sharing inside jokes and laughing together, and despite Pedri's reassurances, a sense of insecurity started to creep into her heart.
One evening, as they sat under a canopy of stars, Y/N couldn't hold back her feelings any longer. "Pedri, I've noticed you spending a lot of time with Isabella. Are you sure there's nothing between you two?"
Pedri's expression softened, and he took her hand in his, "Amor, she's an old friend, but there's nothing romantic between us. You're the one I love, and you're the one I want to be with."
Y/N's insecurity still lingered, "I trust you, but it's hard for me to see you two so close."
Pedri gazed into her eyes with sincerity, "I understand, and I'll do my best to reassure you. She's just a friend, but you're my everything."
As the trip continued, Y/N tried to overcome her insecurity, holding onto Pedri's words and the love they shared. The other girl remained a presence in their journey, but Y/N found strength in knowing that she and Pedri were building a love stronger than any doubts that might arise.
The next day, Pedri’s family and friends had gathered for a lively dinner and laughter filled the air as stories were exchanged and memories shared.
Amidst the joyous chatter, Y/N sometimes struggled to keep up with the rapid Spanish conversations. She tried her best to smile and nod, hoping that her limited fluency in the language wouldn't become too apparent.
As the night wore on, one of Pedri's cousin playfully teased Y/N about her Spanish, "Y/N, tu español es tan lindo, ¡necesitas practicar más!" (Y/N, your Spanish is so cute, you need to practice more!)
The table erupted in laughter, and to Y/N's dismay, even Pedri joined in on the joke.
Struggling to find the right words, she mustered a smile, trying to conceal her discomfort. "Gracias, sí, estoy aprendiendo," (Thankyou, yes I’m still learning) she replied, hoping her response sounded convincing.
Pedri's friend continued with the teasing, and Y/N could feel the weight of the situation growing. She felt embarrassed and isolated, like an outsider in the midst of their camaraderie.
As the night continued, Y/N tried her best to participate in the conversations, despite the language barrier. But the more she tried, the more self-conscious she felt. It seemed like everyone around her was effortlessly engaged, and she couldn't help but feel even more isolated.
Isabella then said with a subtle smirk and spoke in Spanish, "Nunca pensé que Pedri estaría con alguien que no habla español. Debe ser difícil comunicarse, ¿verdad?" (I never thought Pedri would be with someone who doesn't speak Spanish. It must be challenging to communicate, right?")
Y/N's cheeks flushed with embarrassment, but she tried to remain composed, even though she didn't fully understand what was said.
Another person at the table chimed in while laughing, "Sí, seguro es complicado." (Yes, surely it's complicated.)
More laughter followed from some of the other guests, leaving Y/N feeling isolated and uncomfortable. She wanted to respond but didn't know how to articulate her thoughts in Spanish.
Pedri, noticing Y/N's discomfort, interjected in a firm tone, "That's enough. It's not funny. Y/N is learning Spanish, and she's doing great."
The room fell silent, and Pedri's defense of Y/N was evident. He then turned to you with a reassuring smile, "Don't worry love, you're doing great, and I'm proud of your efforts to learn Spanish."
Y/N mustered a shy smile, grateful for Pedri's support, but the awkwardness of the situation lingered. She wished she could express herself better in Spanish and be a more active participant in the conversation.
As the dinner continued, Y/N felt a mix of emotions, torn between her desire to fit in and her frustration at not being able to communicate fluently. She appreciated Pedri's support, but the teasing and laughter had dampened her spirits.
After the dinner, as they walked to their room, Y/N finally spoke up, "Pedri, I feel so embarrassed. I wish I could understand and respond better in Spanish."
Pedri pulled her close, reassuring her, "It's okay, amor. Learning a new language takes time, and it's natural to feel overwhelmed. Just remember, I'm here to help, and I love you just the way you are."
"I know, but it's frustrating not being able to express myself fully," Y/N sighed.
Pedri gently lifted her chin to meet her eyes, "You'll get there baby. Don't let this discourage you. Your efforts to learn Spanish mean a lot to me, and I admire your determination. I’m sorry for what happened at dinner just now amor, It was just a harmless joke, but I see now that it affected you more than I realized."
Y/N nodded, her voice shaky, "It's just hard, Pedri. I want to be a part of your world, but sometimes I feel like I'll never truly fit in."
Pedri took her hand in his, "You belong here with me Y/N. I love you, and I don't want you to ever feel left out or embarrassed. I'll talk to my friends and make sure they understand."
Y/N appreciated his understanding and said to him, "Thank you, Pedri. It means a lot to me that you're willing to stand up for me."
He pulled her into a comforting embrace, "I'll always stand up for you. You're the most important person in my life, and I want you to feel loved and accepted."
In the days that followed, Pedri spoke with his friends, making them understand the impact their jokes had on his girlfriend. They were apologetic and understanding, realizing that their teasing had unintentionally hurt her.
With Pedri's support and her own resilience, Y/N started to feel more at ease during their interactions. She continued to practice her Spanish, and as the days went by, she found herself more engaged in the conversations, feeling more included and accepted.
The trip became a turning point in their relationship. It brought them closer together, and Y/N learned that Pedri was willing to stand by her side, supporting her through the challenges they faced.

Jay’s been through it
CW: Sexual assault Implications brief discussion of sexual predators + lotta swearing
(Please let me know if I missed any content warnings and Check if you are ok to hear this theory before reading. This type content has potential to help or hurt you depending on who you are as is the nature of problematic themes. Safety over curiosity.)
This is cannon compliment. Uhh kids show?! Yeah I know shouldn’t really have these themes but they’re there hear me out. Spoilers for season 6/8 I guess.
I’m bothered by this scene and how It connect to certain events so I’ll cautiously share
Sons of Garmadon Episode 7:
Here is the clip
Kelo asks “Where’s the green Ninja”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
WHAT THE FUCK! Dude the double take I had when first watching this.
So he looked at Kelo’s… lower half and basically said ‘Cole shut up that man’s crotch is too close’. And not in Jay joking tone, he’s like dead serious and stressed. (The scene just cuts away after)
Jay you ok? Why is it implied some guy might have tried something?! Why else would he say that?! Who the FUCK touched my boi? What even is this scene?!
The fact it’s Jay that said it out of everyone is bad because it’s been implied to him before.
So let’s talk about the darkest Ninjago theory that’s been quietly circulating for a while in fan content. For simplicity I’ll call it captains quarters theory, If you’re unfamiliar I’ll explain.
Basically some speculation happened because of a certain villain that displayed subtle ongoing predatory behavior. And a part when Jay was his prisoner that caused people to worry what happened before the scene started.
As some of you have caught on It’s the scene where Cole rescues Jay from Misfortunes Keep.
He didn’t find Jay in his cell where he should have.
Cole found him beaten as ninjago has ever depicted except when literally dying.
Alone
no explanation given.
In the corner of Captains Quarters.
Nadakhan’s room.
Tumblr media
Dude :(
And his concern afterwards.
Tumblr media
And thinking he didn’t deserve saving.
“Thank you for trying to save me,-
Tumblr media
It’s Just a lot.
Doing awful things to make Jay wish it all away is terrifyingly in Nadakhan’s character. Not just the sadistic torture part.
Nadakhan has many behaviors similar to a sexual predator. I’ll go over it briefly but see my last post for a detailed analysis.
He Seeks out vulnerable people for victims. The Ninja are teens and he waits till or makes them emotionally vulnerable. The way he talks about gifting his wishes and giving his victims anything they desire can be read as grooming behavior. His secrecy in getting all the ninja alone and doesn’t even talk to his crew about his plans. Manipulative and Controlling obviously.
And the most glaring issues he’s WAY tooo fucking touchy all the time. Like watch his body language during Skybound and see how uncomfortable it is
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Too slow junkyard boy”
Not to mention how explicitly he doesn’t care about consent….
Tumblr media
And “If you don’t come willingly Nya, I will take you regardless” followed by a forced marriage.
Side note he doesn’t refers to Jay with his name and the things he calls him…uggh “What lies is our little canary whistling now, hmm?”
So… It’s cannon compliant that something was attempted or happened to Jay. Bruh wtf.
Well if you feel like you resonate with this or it may help there a few great fanworks that explore this I can recommend if interested. Mmm comfort angst.
(Note don’t bother anyone for enjoying Nadakhan as a character. It’s fiction and it hurts no one)

out of curiosity, is there anything that Tom King has written for/about Batman that you do like?
Nate I'm gonna be so real with you: I like a lot of the spaghetti that King throws at the wall when he's writing. unfortunately you hardly get time to say "hey, that's neat" before he's loaded the spaghetti into a cannon and starts firing it at you at speeds calculated to kill.
an example that I think about absolutely goddamn constantly is King's original character The Help, from the abysmal miniseries Killing Time. The Help starts out as a cool idea: an older, extremely prim killer for hire who prides himself on his professionalism and is less than impressed by the costumed freaks that are just starting to rise to prominence in Batman's early days. he's known and feared by younger criminals, he's prone to critiquing the fighting style of his enemies up to and including offering them pointers, he's aggressively polite, etc. he's fun!
except he can't just be fun, he has to have trained every other famed combatant in the DC universe. yeah, he's better than Canary and the Question and Lady Shiva. oh, and did we mention he knows Ra's? yeah, Ra's actually initially wanted The Help to be his successor, Bruce is just his second pick. King doesn't really do subtlety, you know? he just hamfists his shit in and uses the existing DC lore to prop it up until his story ends up looking like that prokopetz post about how Supernatural ends up being about fighting the devil's more evil cousin Phil because the writers didn't know how to do anything but escalate.
the worst offender by far, TO ME, is his issue of One Bad Day, wherein King decides to take on the incredibly loaded legacy of the Killing Joke and handles it with all the tact of a musk ox by using it as a cheap device to prop up his Hannibal Lecter-esque Riddler. oh, that whole thing with the Gordons? yeah, that wasn't actually the Joker's idea. the Riddler came up with the actual plan, the Joker just carried it out. isn't that scary? isn't that fucked up? don't you want to take the Riddler seriously now? welcome to his twisted mind.
to me it seems like King is a pretty okay ideas guy but can't stop shooting himself in the dick when asked to follow through, which would be funny if the bullets didn't keep ricocheting to hit my favorite characters.

Emotional support bird
Ghost x fem!Reader (Canary) x Soap
Warnings: none. Pure fluff.
Word count: 850~
PT. 2
On AO3
A/N: take this as a little apology for all the angst I've been posting for this OT3 🫶♥️
“Simon, you’re not gonna believe what we saw at the market today!” (Y/n) greeted him with a wide smile as he held the door open for her and Johnny as they carried their full tote-bags into his house. Simon took a brief moment to admire the rosy apples of her cheeks, and her ever-present sparkling eyes, before she rushed into the kitchen to leave her bag on the counter. Johnny followed after her with a grin, offering Simon a wink as he headed straight to the fridge to leave the cold produce in it.
“...What did you see?” Simon inquired, his curiosity peaked as he shut the door and locked it, before following after his partners to help put the groceries away. They had decided to spend their mandatory two-week post-mission break at Simon’s house, but he had been severely understocked of food, hence the decision was made that Johnny and (Y/n) would make a trip to the closest farmer’s market and gather a few things they would need for the next few days.
“An emotional support dog!” she cooed as she handed him the jars that had to be stored away in the upper cabinets, “a beautiful chocolate lab, her coat was very shiny and she looked super cuddly too!” Simon took the small jars in twos, carefully setting them in their correct places as he listened to her, the hint of a smile teasing his lips as he listened to her. “She was with a family, but I think her owner was the smaller kid, he was holding the leash.” She glanced at Johnny, who still hadn’t been able to wipe the grin off his face. He had already listened to her ramble about the dog, and found it impossible to resist her contagious enthusiasm.
“Those dogs work for different kinds of people,” Simon commented, “wonder why the kid would need one.”
“I don’t know, didn’t ask,” (Y/n) shrugged, handing him the last jar - a gallon jar of pickled peppers, her latest obsession, “I didn’t want to approach them and make them think that I was questioning them for having one.”
“...Do we really need a jar this big?” Simon arched an eyebrow as he picked the jar, nevertheless putting it in place with the others and silently thanking his past self for purchasing such sturdy kitchen cabinets.
“Yes, we do,” (Y/n) nodded in all seriousness, before her beaming smile returned as quickly as it had disappeared, “Oh! She even had her cute little vest on!” she cooed, a pout tugging at the center of her lips as she ended with a whine, “She was so~ cute!”
“Aw, Tweety-bird, don’t be jealous,” Johnny reached over and planted a wet smooch on her cheek, instantly tinting her entire face in a flush, “I think you look even cuter when you wear your vest~.”
“‘m not a dog, though,” she whined, and John and Simon shared a knowing look.
“So, you agree you look cute in your vest,” Simon smirked, his finger poking her nose and causing her to erupt in a giggle, gently swatting his hand away from her face.
“Oh, shut it, you know what I mean!”
Yeah, they knew.
~~~~~~
Two weeks later, as the team prepared to go on yet another mission to the other side of the world, Canary ran her checklist again, making sure everything was packed and ready to go. She was interrupted by two sharp knocks on the door, and she was pleasantly surprised when Ghost appeared at her doorway when she answered her door.
“Oh, hi! What’s-”
“I have a job for you,” he cut her off, and her brow tightened slightly at his serious tone, “follow me.” He left no room for questions as he swiftly turned around and began marching down the hallway in the direction he had come from. Canary was hot on his heels, wondering what this important job could be, being so close to the start of their new mission.
They headed straight to the infirmary, and her confusion only grew when she found Soap sitting on a chair, his left sleeve pulled up all the way above his shoulder, and the nurse waiting patiently next to him with a ready syringe.
“Ah, there she is!” Soap declared brightly, lifting his right arm and holding his hand out to her, “come here, I need you.”
Canary blinked but didn’t hesitate to hold his hand, still confused about the ordeal, “Um, what do you need me for?”
Soap couldn’t stop his grin from widening even more as he squeezed her hand, “Emotional support, duh,” he glanced at the nurse and tilted his head back to Canary, “this is my emotional support bird.”
Canary’s face burned as the nurse shook her head in amusement, getting on with giving Soap his booster shot. His eyes were trained on her in a soft gaze, and she debated whether she wanted to kiss him or smack him in the back of his head, leaning towards the latter as she noticed Ghost clearing his throat to disguise a chuckle behind her.
She still held his hand, though.
Curiousity Contains
To kick off the new year with something good, I finally finished a little vore story I've been working on for a couple of months! Featuring Casey and @madmythologist's Kage inspired directly by our collective scheming and RPing with these two. I love them so much and so I wrote a little thing about what happens when the nervous little borrower gets a little too curious about just how it feels to be eaten. Story below! Contains: Soft Vore, Non-fatal Vore, Hesitant Prey, Mouthplay, internals.
There was something on the back of Casey's mind. Granted there was always something behind those big eyes, but this time it wasn't her usual plights. It was something a bit larger, or more someone she was currently lounging on the chest of on this still evening together.
Kage wasn't doing much, just calmly leaning back in his seat to enjoy the peace and quiet. His chest lifted Casey up and down like smooth clockwork, the borrower herself almost half curled up on her side against the half-elf. It was a rare opportunity of relaxation with nothing better to do for the little that remained of the day—a very nice moment to just exist.
Still, something didn’t sit right here.
The quiet was the last thing on the little one’s mind, her ears more trained on a muffled rhythm just underneath her. It was a hidden comfort, nestled between just as steady breaths. A beat so slow compared to her own constantly ticking muscle. That’s what made it all so fascinating. Kage was just so… so massive.
Granted, that was just a simple matter of perspective with Casey herself being the odd one in terms of scale. But from that same perspective, the humanoid seemed as vast as a field. And just as teeming with activity below the surface. It made the little one think; reminisce even of times when she had gotten even more enveloped in the man before. She wondered if-
“Wonder about what?“‌
  Kage felt the borrower flinch the smallest bit against him, her head jerking up like a rabbit to meet his curious gaze. In what he could confidently guess was her internal whirlwind of thoughts, loose lips spilled out a simple question to finally kill the silence. As much as the chance to breathe was appreciated, he was never one to turn down a chance for something interesting to occur. She was fast to figure out her slip up as seen by the hinted hue of crimson on her face. Kage was already preparing to guide her back from any backtracking she was able to do, but to his surprise that wasn’t the case after a signature pause to collect those racing thoughts.
”Just, how does it exactly feel when you swallow someone whole?''‌ Surprise caught both of them at the string of words that escaped Casey’s mouth. The man was silent for a brief moment, simply watching Casey’s body language. It made for a good indicator of if he actually heard that right as this was a subject the borrower rarely wanted to discuss and even rarer brought up on her own accord. It was most unusual, but not unwelcome.
”That is quite the odd question,“‌ Kage voiced with a quirked brow. ”One that doesn’t have that easy of an answer to explain, simply put.“
Of course this wasn’t going to be that simple, given both what exactly she was asking and who she was asking. She could already taste the embarrassment in the back of her throat rising like bile, but there was no shying away now from the topic. The canary had caught his curiosity.
The plains shifted as Kage adjusted his position, straightening up just a hair more in his seat to speak more comfortably. Casey instinctively tightened her hold on his clothing with the movement, huddling back closer against his chest.
”I‌ do have to ask though, why would you be asking about such a thing?‌”
Why was she asking such a thing? Frankly put, Casey didn't have that clear of an answer for him at that moment. The question had just seemed to pop out after being most likely sealed by brambles of her own design. Her eyes shifted away from Kage's gaze for just a second to think up something rather than silence.
"I, well," she stumbled on her words right into old habits. "I don't really know. It's just been on my mind for a bit. Sorry for bringing it up."
He watched and more importantly felt her fold against him, a little bundle of worry clinging to his shirt. She wouldn't be allowed to hide from this discussion as a blackened hand came up from below her. Casey felt her grip loosen on the fabric and Kage felt small knees press against his palm.
"Now now, none of that. If this has been something on your mind, then surely you have more to say than that." The words purred ever so slightly off the lips as he pulled her away from his shirt and more to his level. He was confident that he knew his little friend quite well, from how her eyes were constantly darting to and fro, to the unending hum in her chest that matched all those thoughts she kept to herself. Thoughts Kage was hungry to hear, fitting the subject being discussed that more often than not made the little one squirm at the mere acknowledgment.
Casey knew that tone. She'd grown very familiar with the charmingly curious dialect of this man. It made the hair on her neck stand on end along with every single nerve in her skin. For better or for worse, she couldn't give a clear answer. She looked up at him and her mind just.... it went blank. Everything just went quiet, all her attention on him as she could just stare for a few seconds. Was there more to say? What answer was the right one, if any? She snapped out of her trance with a small breath, letting herself slide a hair more onto the platform Kage provided in his hand as he took her up. A few more moments of silence...
"Would- would you ever do it again?"
Now that, that was curious indeed. Kage hummed a note in seeming thought, a single raise of the brow showing any change in his expression. Tiny eyes could be felt trying to read his next move, listening for whatever he was going to say next. "Would I ever do it again," He took care in repeating it, now studying how Casey straightened up the smallest amount in his hold. "Do what exactly, hm?"
He didn't need an answer. Casey knew that and now felt that Kage knew just as well as a chuckle rose up his throat. Not one of malice or mischief, but of knowing. "Well, even if I were to entertain this ah, hypothetical question, that doesn't answer why the sudden curiosity about it." A fair observation. The borrower wasn't being as informative as she could be. As much as she desperately wanted to be, but there just wasn't that simple an answer.
Or... was there?
She had tried to pick her words so carefully, dancing around a subject she brought up. It wasn't supposed to be this hard to just talk! She did with Maddie all the time, hell Maddie would have just blurted out the first thing in her head. That's what worked for her, well most of the time. The borrower shook her head. Stay on track. Just say it!
"I..." she paused one more time, the longest she had made up to this point. "I wanted- Well mostly thinking about- I was wondering what it was like inside-"
"Casey-" That soft call brought her attention back towards Kage's face, his smile softened. His hand gracefully pulled her away from his chest, bringing her now fully to eye level. Closer to that very mouth she had been dodging this entire time, still smiling.  The pause felt infinite, falsely judgmental within her panicking brain. Warm breath drowned all thoughts with his next words.
"Why don't we settle both our curiosities with a refresher?"
Kage could have sworn in that moment he heard something crackle in Casey's head at the suggestion. The suggestion made her entire body stiffen like a statue for just a moment in his palm. It was an honest inquiry, just as everything else he had been saying up to this point. Regardless Casey was a creature of nervous habits, hence her growing tense and stiff.Though it was slightly amusing to see it so closely instead of behind shaded stones and leaves.
"You're not as good at hiding that curiosity as you think." He wasn't a fool. He'd noticed how she had been keeping a keen ear to his chest as they relaxed, how even now she was avoiding his gaze by watching his mouth. It was exciting, adorable even. "I wouldn't do anything rash, even though this is all rather tantalizing." Some of these words were a bit more punctuated than others, keeping the borrower's attention rather than scaring her off. Now it was just a matter to see if she'd take that invitation.
Tiny fingers curled in hesitation. Her heart jumped several times trying to climb out of her throat. She shouldn't have wanted this. Was she really going to go through with this stupid request? But as she looked past those perfectly white teeth and saw the shadowed purples and blues, there was no going back. Her head lowered for but a tick, slowly becoming a nod before looking back up at the ever looming man. "Please?... Just promise you'll keep it simple?"
"Naturally." Kage couldn't keep that smile from growing twice as large at that approval. This wasn't something he was going to play with or take even the slightest bit for granted.
With his new permission, the half-elf took some lead as his hand tilted upwards with precise movements. Casey could tell he was slowing them intentionally, an effort that was helping the herculean task of easing her nerves. These hands were in safe hands. Hands she had been starting to learn how to navigate like any branch or platform. But whether it was mishap or intentional, the borrower allowed herself to fall forward towards his face. She caught herself on his upper lip, Kage feeling the slightest tickle at a fumble right under his nose.
"What was that about keepings things simple?" The little one's breath hitched with the words that barely stretched the skin under her hands. She was close enough to feel the vibrations travel up her arms and down her arching spine. But she didn't back out of this precarious spot, but embraced it. Rather than push back, one of those hands transferred to the bottom jaw with a featherlight brace. All she had to do now was...
Kage waited. Waited for that next move out of Casey's curiosity. He could catch the smallest trance of a scent of her being this close. Earthen, but with a pleasantly light sweetness to it. It only made her all the more enticing to indulge. So when one of those miniscule hands added the faintest pressure, the giant let his lower jaw collapse as she pried the gates open.
Warmth was the first thing to tingle at the senses. It radiated along her exposed arms, swirled around her neck and practically kissed her cheek. Unlike the man's gray complexion covered in black lines, a blue tongue surrounded by purple walls greeted her inside. She'd seen glimpses of the unusual hues whenever he spoke of teases and the occasional taste, but never this intentionally. Never this closely.
Was it this colorful all the way down?
Casey sucked in a breath, fighting the urge to shiver at the sight before her. Was it too late to turn back? No, she had to commit. Needed to so the thoughts weren't eating at her. Ironic. Carefully the little one shifted and allowed herself to begin leaning past silver lips. Over incisors that nearly glistened along with canines to match. Thin trails of saliva traveled from these pillars and connected to the bottom matching set. Together they could combine to make a devilish smile, but also would have no problem leaving their mark on her fragile body if he ever chose.
The more she leaned in, the more those teeth drifted apart as Kage's mouth only opened wider. The man remained very still, breathing through his nose as his mouth was occupied with a guest. There was a part of his mind that clicked on, something that was making his mouth water a hair more and his own heart pulse a bit faster. Hunger perhaps. Something primal about having something so small soon pressing a warm albeit shaking hand onto the flat of his tongue making him only want Casey more. And once that contact was made, it was oh so sweet as honey.
He could feel the back of his mouth watering all the bit more, leaving her with a very slick surface to explore. She was hesitating, rocking slightly along his bottom teeth. That hand pulled back slowly away from him, but there was no getting out of this. That tongue followed her out in its own curiosity, lightly pressing into her front. The little squeak she made as she caught herself along it was adorable Kage would have loved to admit.
The feeling still lingered on her palm as she pulled away from that muscle for a moment. Slick, warm, alive. She could only put a few words to it before she got familiar with the feeling again as Kage stuck his tongue out for a proper taste. Now it was all that flashed into her brain as her upper half held onto it. The flesh was warm to the skin with a radiating heat, settling the shivering of her arms and nerves. She didn't fight or push it off in a fit of panic, instead letting herself be taken and tasted with a press. The spit seeped into her sleeves and shirt, no doubt bringing more of her flavor out. Casey ponder for a bit what he could possibly be-
A hum broke the silence as Kage purred, the sound coursing up Casey through him. He slowly pulled back and flicked his tongue back inside, but not before catching a final peck of Casey's red scarlet dusted cheek before it disappeared.
"Hmmmm, honey." The words flowed off like the food itself, sounding far from displeased with his findings. Casey watched that smile from right in front of her, demanding her full attention in its proximity. She held her breath, waited in both fear and unexpected anticipation. Waited for those jaws to lunge forward and claim her.
Luckily while that wasn't the predator's style, he wasn't going to delay for much longer. His hands cupped her against those lips again, parting again without her 'assistance.' She nearly fell over, catching herself in her arms and holding onto the bottom row of teeth. Again she was met with that overpowering warmth at her touch, calling to something deep within. A calling to the dark and the shelter it could provide once she crawled inside.
With a final gathering of  what little courage she had, Casey pushed herself up and pulled herself forward into that lavender den. Not a moment after did Kage finally pull his hand away from his face, leaving her legs to dangle out of his mouth. The urge to regain her center of balance was aided by the impulse to tilt his head back to bring Casey those last centimeters over, sliding past the gums and into his jaws.
Now, Casey wasn't completely a stranger to this man's maw. She had watched it as he sang and purred out his words, teeth flashed in a knowing smirk. Her sister had gone into detail countless times about this very place when she tested her luck against the giant. Now the difference between story and reality was staring her right in the face to marvel at.
The space was incredibly dim, only speckles of light caught in the spit-shined interior.  Cool colored flesh was glazed on every surface, making everything slick and slippery to the touch. The air was much warmer, smothering those cold chills with its heat and clinging to her tiny tiny frame. Half of her was already soaked with spit, knees and arms sinking into his tongue. It was so much to take in for one small borrower, too much.
Wide eyes went wild and her heart banged against her ribs begging to get out.
This was wrong.
This was so, so wrong.
Casey knew better than to do something this dangerous. It was one thing to think and ponder about what it was like inside, but this?! This was crazy! She had let herself get talked into stepping right into a mouth! A mouth that belonged to a person she had seen eat people like her with expertise! If he wanted he could just bite down and swallow whatever was left of her down into that chasm at the very back of the throat. She could see it, expanding and contracting just waiting to close in on her like a cornered animal.
She needed to leave. She needed to spin around and get out before it was too late. But everything was frozen. Something kept her here at the mercy of Kage's maw. What was going on? How did she let herself get this far? All these questions were buzzing like angry hornets in her head, burning her ears with stinging static.
On the outside, Kage paid very close attention to the mass inside his mouth. He didn't move nor breathe too loudly lest he make the terrified tiny in his mouth jolt. He knew Casey, her tendencies. How easily she was to scare and expected the worst possible outcome. Normally this was just another thing he could use to get under her skin and make her tick, but now it was a reason for worry. Worry proved warranted as he caught the smallest sounds of hyperventilating behind his lips, the salty tang of fear on his palette. On his tongue she grew stiff as a board, her breathing quickening with jumbled words he couldn't translate.
Panic.
Everything stopped for a brief moment for the dark elven man. As undesired a reaction as it was, it sadly wasn't an out of place one. His first thought was to call her name in reassurance, but that was quickly ruled out as speaking was out of the question at the moment. His words were one of his most valuable tools, but thankfully they weren't his only trick. A flick of the fingers and the smallest twitch of his throat, a simple prestidigitation allowed the breath he had been holding onto chill and lightly wash over.
Wind softly blew onto her pale face and made the damp tips of her hair sway. It was enough to pause her catastrophizing episode, senses coming back down from the spike of terror. Breathe. She needed to breathe. Once her chest was rising and falling at a regular pace, her vision was starting to adjust all the more. The colors were just a bit brighter, shadows less suffocating. Everything had remained still, Kage hadn't done anything when he had the opportunity. Everything was ok.
The relief washed over Casey, tense muscles unlocking and relaxing. To be honest the warmth may have helped with that as it creeped in the longer she crouched here, but she couldn't stay like this forever. The little spelunker inched around, light touches carefully tapping along Kage's tastebuds. She could see the corners of his lips pulling up and shifting the lights ever so much. At least there was no denying he was enjoying this little adventure.
She didn't go too far in, settling at the center at that tongue before twisting back around. One could only look at the back of a throat for so long before it may start calling. Kage's mouth stayed open, providing a toothy frame for her to look back out into the open world. Everything was still, relaxed. Simple.
"I'm, I'm ok." Casey's tiny voice finally crept out, earning another cool breath of relief from Kage's throat. The man had been fully ready to spit her out if she wasn't ready, but the little one still was full of ways to surprise him. From her position she couldn't see the gleam of excitement in his eye, but could probably feel the saliva pool a bit more at her feet.
He let her settle for a bit longer, enjoying every tiny movement and way she slid around his tongue. Even with the slight itch of cloth and hair, that natural sweetness still dominated his taste buds. Intoxicating honestly and more than worth the stillness. And this was only the beginning of their little experiment. There was still a question to answer. Kage lifted a hand so it could be seen by his passenger, signaling what he wanted to do by an opening and closing motion with his fingers and thumb. If there were any objections, now was the time to say them. Silence, then a slightly firmer pressure in the crook of his tongue.
"Ready."
The word was a hard one for Casey to say in full confidence. Kage was giving her every chance to walk away, to abandon this expedition if it was too much. Despite everything, Casey still had the final word in this. There was a comfort in that control, but it was still horrifying to wield. She was still letting herself get preyed upon by a silver tongued man. But, it would be ok. It had to be ok if she was careful enough.
Slowly after the affirmation was said, the lights dimmed steadily as Kage closed his maw. Soon all of her sight was forfeit, hearing the softest click of teeth and leaving her in the damp darkness. Casey remained frozen, taking everything in to fill in the new gaps in the old scenery. Her heart banged against the muscle beneath her, even more so as it came to life and lifted her forward. A yelp sounded from the girl, squeezing that same platform as it adjusted. A soft chuckle echoed around her, feeling the very sound travel up into her body and to her ears.
It couldn't be helped. Everything about this was just so, was precious the right word? Feeling how the borrower had nestled in the center of his mouth? Hearing the little squeaks and whines even through closed lips? All while that natural sweetness translated all along his taste buds? It was all so delectable, delightful. A true treat for them both to indulge in. A playful nature crept more into Kage's movements, a smile creeping along with a hum. Much like how he was with his hands, his tongue played gracefully with his prey. He felt her grip tighten along the ridges, arms squeezing to keep from getting knocked about. Not that there were any complaints to be shared.
Inside his mouth that main muscle swayed and flexed around, cradling Casey about. Within the dark confines she felt every slick movement and curl that effortlessly glided her about. tastebuds pressed against her chin, face scrunching at the moisture left behind in its wake. Her grip didn't release off his tongue, squeezing the firm yet soft muscle in her arms and fingers. It acted as a guide, something to ground and navigate her through this little adventure.
Warmth.
Warmth was the first thing to cross the barrier. A heat radiated every surface that embraced her, cutting through spittle and clothing to her very core and sticking to her skin. It seeped deep within Casey, melting muscles of their tension. Visions of a burrow crossed her mind in comparison, somewhere just as dark and secluded intentionally. It was pleasant, for a moment drifting away from the reality that so startled her.
The floor rose and met with the roof of his mouth, her chest skipping a beat as a new element was introduced just as she almost settled. Any shove or shift to create space was only met with a deep pressure pinning her in place, squeezing a small noise out of her chest. It threatened to squeeze the air out of her as well as that sweet taste Kage seemed so keen on.
With one action, Kage could feel the shape trapped atop his tongue. The small, alive shape huddled inside his mouth with a heartbeat that hummed at her core. He was half expecting to feel her starting to fight back, not unlike what her sister tended to do when in the same predicament. But to his pleasant surprise, there was no struggle from Casey even when he licked and tossed her about a touch more. As much as he pushed and prodded and explored her presence, she wasn't fighting him. Nothing more than a few wiggles and pushback to seemingly get in a better position, always clinging onto the very muscle assaulting her senses and indulging his.
This little game continued for a few more minutes. The elf's mouth was coated with a sweet flavor and Casey was coated in the saliva that pooled around. She was pressed once more as the giant swallowed down the collection, seeping the last of her resistance with it. As fast as it took her breath away it released it back, leaving the borrower sprawling on the 'floor'. Her heart raced, this time out of exhaustion rather than blind fear. She was hyper aware of so much. From the drool still clinging like thin sap to that warmth that has seeped and nestled deep inside her muscles.
This had been so wrong before, so why did it now feel so easy? Easy to drift into the heat. Easy to sink into the slick surface. Easy to just... let Kage take her in.
A sound of content slipped into the damp air as the mouth finally stilled, the worn-out borrower practically flopping along the tongue. Her eyes grew a touch heavier, the environment wanting to ease her to settle alongside it. But they weren't done. The question wasn't what it was like inside his mouth. It was...
"Kage?"
Her voice was so small, even when it was technically coming from his own mouth. The air had gone calm as he felt Casey's settling, drinking the moment in. Out of all the places she could find herself calm, it was almost laughable. He gave a simple hmm in question, glancing down habitually. In the silence he could imagine her face flushed in red, trying to find the words she wanted to say on the tip of his tongue.
"I can't do it alone."
Kage felt Casey dig her face into the crook of his tongue, cheeks hot to the touch as she squeaked the words out. The corners of Kage's lips softened. They both knew what needed to be done. Casey just seemed to know that she needed a little push to continue, something they both knew he was more than trusted enough to encourage. He dared to speak, cooing the words out to glide over his passenger.
"You're ok, just relax."
Casey kept her head down as she felt the room vibrate with every letter, the words floating across the way to the cracks of light. She couldn't do it. She couldn't make herself go any deeper, latched onto his tongue like lichen to a log. She couldn't.... not without help. All she had to do was relax and let Kage take the lead once again.
With the space faded again to black, Casey allowed herself to shudder and settle in for the ride. How was this going to go? What happened once she was taken deeper into his body? What if something went wrong? Paranoid thoughts that all wanted to spiral, only to skip like a record once everything resumed.
Her heart jumped into her throat as the tongue rose then dropped into her stomach once Kage started to tilt his head back. Even as her arms wanted to grab onto her safety net, it would have proved worthless against the slippery and slick surfaces all around. There was little time to process and even less time to let anything other than flesh grab a hold on her. The pressure threatened to pop her head, but all that was released was a final cry out of Casey's mouth as she disappeared out of Kage's.
Well that was certainly a sensation. After licking his lips of the lingering sweetness Kage focused his attention on the lump in his throat. The borrower went down smooth as well, you know how the saying goes. To say he wasn't enjoying any of this would be just a plain lie.
"There, simple." He hummed, easing back slowly into his chair. After many a thought of swallowing the little lady down, now it had just become a reality. He already knew she was delicious from previous antics, but it never went this far. A silent agreement between them until today, confirmed as she had slipped past his collarbone. It felt good. He felt good.
Contently his attention drifted inwardly just as there was a minor disturbance in his abdomen. Again, he wasn't a stranger to the motions of having something alive inside his stomach. It proved to be quite the effective place to keep little things out of sight and out of trouble. Maddie had most certainly given him many a reason to exercise the role of predator. But this instance was quite different. It always was with Casey's involvement thanks to one key detail...
The trip down was as quick as it was overpowering. The walls forced and squeezed unrelentingly all around the swallowed borrower. She couldn't see, couldn't move, could barely breathe in this ravenous chute. Everything overpowered even the pounding of her chest again as it all pushed her one direction and one direction only. Down.
As sudden as the pressure had a hold of her it released, finally slipping into her final destination. She landed with a squish underneath, this space much more spacious than either of her previous lodgings.
Even in the dark her eyes stayed closed shut within the bundle of nerves. She could feel it now, folds of flesh even more slimy and slippery smooth. She could hear every groan and squelch of the alien landscape, louder than her dampened breathing as she worked to pull herself together.
This was it. This was what Casey has been so curious about, she was in a stomach of all things. Every instinct should have been scolding her for getting herself trapped down here, even willingly to boot! She could have just been content with Maddie's regaling, but oh no, she had to see for herself. The hell was she thinking?
"You're ok. Take a look."
His low voice hummed from somewhere above, presenting a shift with it. A sense of reassurance and calm, a promise to ease her into something new with something familiar. A familiar feeling that kissed her eyelids and wanted her to peek into the darkness.
 To her surprise, a single blue bead of light bled softly. It was no bigger than her own palm as it floated before her very eyes. Casey had seen this very light many times, each with their own story behind them. Of secret serenades and dancing in the moonlight, of warm hands sheltering her from the cold.
"Did you..?" Casey pondered aloud, hushing as she noted another light coming into reality. And another, followed by two than three twinkling all over. Each one brought a little more vision into the confined space, black giving way to plush blues and purple innards. The damp walls shone among twisting folds and bends, strands of clear fluid stretching between and pooling at the bases. Casey stared and twisted around to take it all it, forgetting that she was supposedly mortified by this place a few seconds ago.
As Casey undoubtedly was taking in the scenery, her host was paying close attention to every little movement he could feel. Nothing like a little bit of magic to help keep his special guest comfortable. He could feel her start to move a bit more, unfurling from a lump at the bottom of his guts to situate.
"Glad you seem to be warming up to the scenery." Kage chuckled, taking a hand to his abdomen in response to the sensation of smaller ones gliding all around. One could only imagine the slight surprise when he could have sworn he felt her pressing back into his hand, even through a natural border.
Something pressing back from the other side lulled Casey out of the slight trance the light had her been under. Her hands had wandered to trace along the winding surfaces, fingers pressing into the plush flesh ever so lightly. Thank god he couldn't feel the heat off her face in here.... could he?
"I- I didn't realize." She admitted, though her hands still stayed along his stomach lining. Just another thing she hadn't realized about Kage to add to her accounts she supposed. "But um- How's it feel? From your side, I mean." As undyingly curious as she was about what was going on under his skin, she was just as concerned about what was going on in that head of his."
Kage paused, a thumb casually brushing as he considered answering. She couldn't see the stupid smile across his face, absolutely delighted and smitten about this turn of events. Being able to hold Casey this close, allowed to keep her in a way that was originally seen as a nightmare by her kind. Little by little, day by day, years in the making, he had earned it. Willingly she allowed this, and so much more. But, that was a little hard to explain to someone you couldn't technically see at the moment.
"Comforting I believe is the right word for it. He simply stated. "Tell me though, does this sate that curiosity of yours?"
The borrower grew quiet, looking back and fully taking everything in. It was much warmer here, easing her to lay back against him like she was doing not too long ago. Yes she was still damp to the touch, but that wasn't as noticeable with everything glazed in a thin coat that still shimmer under the now starry display of lights. Those ears trained back on the steady beats that drew her here, now much more clear as it lightly pulsed into the surfaces around.
It felt... steady, secure. Safe.
He felt safe.
"It... it does." She finally vocalized, pausing only to let a squeak of a yawn snake out. Fidgeting in an active mouth and fear really does wear a borrower out, combining with the alluring heat and plush dimly lit room. Those eyes felt heavy, fluttering and struggling to stay open now. "Um, Kage.... would it be weird if.."
A chuckle answered her before his words, rocking the room ever so slightly. "I'll let you out of your den after you get some rest, little rabbit. You're alright."
And with that reassurance, both settled in for a spell, Casey drifting back off against Kage, and Kage more than comfortable in the silence with full feeling within. He could ask about her thoughts on the situation once she was all cleaned up. For now, both were more than content.
Walter Schellenberg
Tumblr media
These are some facts and curiosities about Walter Schellenberg, the deputy head of the Gestapo:
He was born in Saarbrücken on 16 January 1910 but his family moved with his family to Luxembourg when the French occupation of the Saar Basin after the First World War triggered an economic crisis in the Weimar Republic.
 He returned to Germany to attend university, first at the University of Marburg and then, in 1929, at the University of Bonn. He initially studied medicine, but soon switched to law.
He joined the SS in 1933.
He was recruited in the SD through 2 professors ( he gave an anti catholic speech which aroused Heydrich's interest )
In November 1939 Schellenberg played a key role in the Venlo Incident, which ended with the capture of two British espionage agents and was awarded the Iron Cross for this.
In 1940 he was responsible for drawing up a list of 2,300 British personalities who were to be arrested as soon as Germany occupied Great Britain; he was also involved in many other espionage activities, among which the Kitty Salon activity was very successful.
In March 1942, Heinz Jost was fired from his position as RSHA Chief of Amt VI, SD-Ausland (SD foreign intelligence). In his place, Schellenberg was appointed chief of SD-Ausland by Heydrich
According to his memoirs, Schellenberg had been a friend of Wilhelm Canaris, the head of the Abwehr (military intelligence).
In the last months of the conflict Schellenberg tried to persuade Himmler to reach a separate peace with the Western Allies by exploiting the mediation of Count Folke Bernadotte, whom he himself met personally in Stockholm in April 1945.
He was captured in Denmark in June 1945 while working on an attempt to make a separate peace with the Americans.
During the postwar Nuremberg Trials, Schellenberg testified against other Nazis. In the 1949 Ministries Trial he was sentenced to six years' imprisonment, during which time he wrote his memoirs, The Labyrinth.
He died of cancer in 1952 in Turin, Italy.
During the German occupation of Paris, Schellenberg was believed to have been a lover of Coco Chanel, who paid for the cost of his funeral when he died penniless.
Something something the fist statement being about someone being recognized yet not being that person anymore "Part of him" and laughing.
something something about the second being about a woman changing her self and not being scared or afraid but mostly annoyed that her work got ruined.
Something something about the third being yet again about transformation and becoming part of the horror and finding peace and serenity in it.
Something something about how the only one that break the mold is a warning.
Something something about change and metamorphosis and coming back wrong.
Something something hubris.
Greed. Pride. Jealousy.
A new cicle.
Most statements used to be about people WITNESSING things. The eye always at work seeing everything and feeding on the stories.
Something something about being part of the horror (the computers) something something about how curiosity will kill you.
Is not just Canary.
They are all a warning.
tmagp spoilers, CAT123 alchemy theorizing
Tumblr media Tumblr media
for your viewing consideration: the OIAR's logo, showing what appears to be an inverted alchemical symbol of the Philosopher's Stone...
so, let's talk Category 1, 2, and 3, today CAT1 in particular. I think these may be matching to the alchemical primes: 🜍 ☿ 🜔 Respectively: Soul, Spirit, and Body - all seen in the sigil of the OIAR What elements of fear and dread might associate with each of these? Let's start with Category 1. Our category 1 statements so far have been: -Reanimation (partial) -Needles! -Mr. Bonzo! -Mr Bonzo again Or, to approach this from the other angle: what is *not* in the CAT23 statements that is in the above: (Red Canary and the Tattoo (corpse) -/- compulsion) I think there's a strong case for Category 1 being that of Body. The reanimation had a focus on the remains, Needles and Mr. Bonzo are highly visceral. There's a focus on flesh, less so on spirit/soul. In contrast, RedCanary was much less physically visceral and much more driven by emotions and curiosity and desire to know - similar to the other 23 statement. Lena Kelley: "In order for the wheels to keep on turning, all these forces need to be monitored and balanced. That is where we come in."
previously: nice job everybody who voted that the OIAR might be monitoring and maintaining "alchemical" balance! Lena's recent words seem to support that...but who knows if she can be believed~
