unfortunately I have to admit that charles dickens really did something with a christmas carol. darkness was cheap and scrooge liked it. he was a squeezing wrenching grasping scraping clutching covetous old sinner. he was a tight-fisted hand at the grindstone, old scrooge. hard and sharp as flint. solitary as an oyster. girl those are some ADJECTIVES! some METAPHORS! described the hell out of that mf!!

does anyone have any idea what these harpoon looking aglet type things I found at the thrift store are? the metal's relatively strong for how thin they are, and they're not sharp
#I bought them because I can probably find Some use for them and they were on sale for like a quarter#but I am also very curious#man y'all I also got a whole bunch of pyrex boiling flasks?? AND a flower-shaped candle snuffer AND a plate that looks like a leaf#really good thrift day for weird objects and nice pants#I tried on five pairs of pants and they all? fit??? #not me going down an etsy/ebay/amazon rabbit hole trying to find something to use my 3 year old birthday money on#I made a wishlist and I have been going through the items on it trying to see what average prices are and such#the problem with that is that my birthday is coming up again and my mom knows about the list and IDK if she's bought any of the these thing#would it be more worthwile to buy a polaroid camera or the printer that connects to your phone/computer#and makes ur digital photos into polaroids#...i have sooooo many photos that i could print off#i need to make a few books with them#i also need to stop looking at knife shaped letteropeners#and pretty scissors and sewing/fibrecraft paraphernalia#and candle snuffers/wick trimmers (we can probably get those at yankee candle the next time we go)#{the new advent candles my mom got this year splatter the table with wax if you look and them while thinking about blowing them out –#– i ended up putting a glass bottle over them to put them out for like 2 weeks}

Oh no, am I writing a casefic? I think I might be writing a casefic...
A very low stakes one, no murdered maids this time (which reminds me I haven't touched Cast Iron in a long while-- 😬). I'll go through and check I'm not stepping on too many of canon's toes though, because Holmes and Watson at a boys' school with a broken window feels familiar somehow.
I've got canon references, which is impressive. I hardly ever manage canon references.
