As it is extremely not Spring-like out there, here’s a lovely New England Spring meal I made from mostly local ingredients!!! (Plus single-origin Chilli from India, so, local-to-there!) Fiddleheads foraged in Western Mass, Kielbasa from Outlook Farm in Westhampton, Sea Salt from Cape Cod (like me!); all sautéed in butter with a ton of fresh onions and garlic! (And that very tasty, quite smokey chilli!) Served with linguine and a nice glass of Pinot Grigio!! We walked to the other side of the Cape! The outer shore of the hook at the very end! All told, we walked miles and miles together today! Though it was a bit easier walking back across the Provincetown Breakwater while not flooded with emotions like the last time we made this trek across the bay!!!! On December 29th, 2019, Becky asked me to marry her. After we had just walked a mile and a half across Provincetown Harbor on a wet and slippery breakwater. Although I had made it clear sometime earlier in our relationship that if it was ever something she wanted , I would gladly marry her. I was still completely taken by surprise. At first I actually thought she was joking! But I quickly realized she was not and I unhesitatingly said, YES!!! These photos were taken just a moment after that proposal. And moments before we realized we were going to have to walk a mile and a half back over wet and slippery rocks in the middle of the harbor, while bubbling over with emotion!!! But we made it.
