occasionally I'll hear someone talk about the fact that pokeballs cost 200 pokedollars and are therefore insanely expensive in-universe, but I feel like that overlooks the fact that these are Japanese games, and pokedollars are probably equivalent to yen. if anything, I think we need to talk more about how a magic ball that allows you to capture and befriend a creature with superpowers costs about $1.25 USD

perhaps an unpopular opinion (?) but The Pitt is a perfect example of a show that should be dropped at once for binging as opposed to weekly episodes
#the effect of going through hour by hour in nearly real time is INCREDIBLE as a viewing experience#they do great capturing the energy in each episode individually but keeping it going continually with binging lemme tell you#as soon as the finale airs I want to try doing a rewatch starting at 7am and going straight through#release schedules can and should be a storytelling device tailored to each individual show I'm not kidding!#don't mind me#the pitt

Wolcred Week 2024 Day 5: Laughter | Gift

the absolute agony of having the replacement parts to fix my computer, but forcing myself to wait until after next pay day to take it in to get the estimate and repair done
#like do i have the money for it right now? yeah. but do i want to risk it conflicting with bill payments before the end of the month? no.#but just having everything ready to go and having to sit here and contend with it for another week or more...excruciating#i also need to remember to ask them after the pc repair if they can do the motherboard of my capture device#since it literally just needs soldering and nothing else done. and how much that would cost if they can/will do it

edit 2: actually not terrible i somehow prefer this version but it does get more boring. easier to win for me tho (< was really bad at hiding and using disguises strategically in og windtrace)
