Heres a quick turorial on how i make the snarl mask. If anyone needs a better explanation i can make another video, but for now i hope this helps.

They're papier mâché! Most of them are made with pulped newspaper, though my most recent one is just plain ol' newspaper strips. I layer the paper over a clay sculpt – I've been using plasticine for my latest bases.

@confetti39x asked me how to make a cardboard cutout, so here is my method

Things you will need:

Poster-board or cardboard

Masking tape

Exacto knife

Modge podge

Flat paint brush/sponge brush

Scissors

Hot glue gun

Access to a colored printer

Step 1:

Find a full body image of the person of your choice, and make sure it’s high quality enough that it won’t pixelate to badly when zoomed in.

Step 2:

Go to rasterbator.net to upsize your image. Hit “create poster”, upload your image, and then input the dimensions you want when it prints. After that, press “no effects”, and download your pdf. Then, print it on any colored printer.

Step 3:

Tape your images together. There should be a white border when you print it out. I like to leave two sides cut and two sides uncut so I have a stronger connection when I tape the pieces together. Utilize the backside of the paper, and any areas on the front that will be cut away. You will constantly be lifting and setting down the whole join of paper throughout the process

Step 4:

Cut out the body.

Step 5:

Hot glue your cardboard/poster-board together to get a large enough shape. I like to cut small rectangles and glue them to the back of the joins for a stronger connection.

Step 6:

put the taped paper figure you cut out on the poster-board, and trace it with a pencil. remove the figure

Step 7:

Use an exacto knife to cut out the outline

Step 8:

Use modge podge to glue the paper cutout to the poster board cutout. You can also apply the modge podge between any gaps between the paper, and over the figure itself to make it flat.

Step 9:

have him chill on your floor for a few days as he dries

Step 10 (optional):

Use your remaining board material to make a base/stand for your cutout. (I’d show pictures but I’m still on step 9)

Stamp shaped stamp display guide

Stamp stamp stamp I have so many, I need to make two smaller displays because of an exces stamps. So, I wanted to make a visual guide for my friends. All you really need is:

Cardboard

Paint

Scissors

glue

Stamps

I also used thin masking tape to make the lines clean but it's not necessary.

Step 1

Cut wavy edges on every side of any cardboard piece with scissors. (If your using painter tape now would be the time to use it, just tape a bit from the edge along all sides.)

Step 2

Along the wiggily edge paint white. Within the white paint any color you like :). Remove the tape after everything is dry if you used some.

Step 3

Glue stamps,you should probably organize where you want the stamps first. I screwed up on that part, I made an extra because I had too many stamps too.

Thats all :3

Since I’ve posted this elsewhere to better explain the mechanics for those that didn’t fully understand the tutorial I posted, I thought I’d post here as well. I also go over the ear mechanics on this.

Basically play around and see what works, but I hope this helps if you’re still struggling.

I think about paper dolls.....

Draw your base, I recommend doing it in chibi style and with both arms and legs visibly extended, not squished together or against the torso (or do it, it may look good??)

Put another paper over it, and trace it and then add the characters' physical traits and details (hair, eyes, fur, scars, mouth, etc..) but without clothing

Now, in MY case I cut like a bit square around the character, glue it to a piece of thin cardboard and when the glue dries I cut it out. But I recommend more (to help with durability and water proof-ness) to cut it and add transparent tape in both sides. Also this later method gives u the option to also draw the back of the character!

Now, with the base u did earlier, u can use it to trace over it pieces of clothing for your paper dolls!! If you used the cardboard method, i recommend also adding like, at the sides pieces of paper so when u cut it out you can wrap it securely around your doll. Or do the same process with the tape! And then add a rolled piece of tape in the back to stick it to your tape-wrapped doll

Now u can do a gazillion pieces of clothing for ZILLIONS of little paper doll characters!!!

(also one thing i didn't do that you should do is to carve a channel in the foam for the wire to go into so its flat. mine are a bit lumpy.)

Its held together with hot glue and dreams so its probably not the best out there but it worked for me :3
