Happy Halloween season! Here's another stab at my own take of Carrie White, based on her book description. I'm super happy with how these turned out! I'd love to tackle some of the other characters in the book eventually, especially Margaret!

Like How Can You Not Tell Me THIS IS TALENT AND HAS POTENTIAL

Like his art is so chef's kiss like since im a carrie novel geek i would literally get my hands on this if it were to ever happen (if its available in my country 🥲and if not then make it a pdf)

So, apparently, there is a new Carrie movie in the works, and they plan to cast a skinny person as Carrie White, who is a fat protagonist in the book, that they made skinny in its popular adaptation. I can understand that it's a dated movie, but standards should be higher, and fat characters need to stop being made into skinny characters. The story is not the same with Carrie White being skinny. She is a fat character, and her being fat is important. I am extremely disappointed. Let fat characters exist and let them be played by fat people. Stop taking their fatness out of their stories and out of their appearance. I sincerely hope that this turns out not to be true and that an actual fat person is cast as the character and that Carrie's fatness is reintroduced to the story.

do you ever think about how unhinged sue snell is, like. babygirl. you want to make it up to carrie and cant possibly think of anything else to do. like apologize and become her friend or something. no no. you just HAVE to ask your boyfriend to take her to prom because that's the only solution you could come up with. sue doesn't just want this, she like, obsesses over it. babygirl. you only make sense when i read you as sapphic, i'm very sorry. petition for a realistic carrie remake in which tommy goes "tf, no i'm not taking her to prom. if you're so obsessed with it why don't you do it yourself?". i have many thoughts on this.

the carrie fic i’ve always had in my head is one where instead of telekinesis she’s a werewolf, i guess the first step would be planning how her telekinesis events would change into werewolf events

rain of stones -> just recontextualizing telekinesis based destruction into werewolf based destruction

lightbulb exploding -> just growling/cracking wall with wolf strength (needs to be something that could be explained as something else like the lightbulb)

bike redirection-> physically shoving random child off bike and holding him up by shirt

idk this just a basic idea, that i haven’t thought much about
