Tribe leader/Viking Sukuna headcanons
Tumblr media
After seeing this fanart, a sweet anon sent me this prompt: "Imagine that you are a simple girl in another tribe who attracted the leader Sukuna who at that moment came to negotiate with the leader of your tribe, he became interested in you and decided to make you his wife and cooperate with your people. So you left with him and began to live with him and give birth to his heirs."
Tumblr media
Thank you so much for sending me this! When I saw the art, I was thinking of something along those lines, too! The picture reminded me of the tv show Vikings, so the following headcanons take place in that time.
Pairing: Viking!Sukuna x Reader (female) Genre: Smut + fluff Word Count: 2.5k Warnings: 18+, smut, arranged/forced marriage, virginity loss, blood, breeding, pregnancy, slight lactation kink, having children, miscarriage (Sukuna comforts reader afterwards. He doesn't just want her because of the heirs she can give him), general mentions of violence and human sacrifices. All characters are of age. This story is 18+. Minors don't interact.
Tumblr media
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who is feared for his ruthlessness in battle and his strength that seems almost god-like. All the other tribes try to stay on his good side and forge alliances with him instead of giving him a reason to burn down their towns.
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who looks so intimidating when he comes to visit your settlement. Tall and broad-shouldered with all those buff muscles on display and the bones of his enemies decorating his clothes.
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who you can't take your eyes off when you and the rest of your tribe gather in your leader's throne room and watch the negotiations. He sends shivers down your spine, but not just in a fear-inducing way, if you are honest. He is so enticing. Powerful and intelligent, and so attractive.
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who is such a beautiful man. His face is too pretty for a warrior. Not even his scars and tribal tattoos can hide his beauty. A smug smirk lifts the corners of his lips, and his voice is calm and confident. He moves gracefully like a big cat, beautiful but deadly. He is the most stunning man you have ever seen, and you hang on every word that falls from his lips as if he carries ancient magic in his voice.
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, whose icy blue eyes scan the crowd slowly, glittering like two precious jewels in the firelight illuminating the crowded room. Your breath catches in your throat when that intense gaze lands on you. You feel like a small animal trapped in the gaze of its hunter. Should you lower your head to show him your respect? Or will he take affront if you dare to look at anything else but him?
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who takes the decision away from you when he smirks at you and laughs softly before he turns his attention back to your leader.
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who announces his conditions for a peace treaty in a confident, demanding tone. The voice of a man who is used to getting what he wants. A man who knows he is too powerful to get turned down.
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who suddenly points a long tattoed finger at you and speaks the words that will flip your whole world upside down, "And I want her."
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who makes your heart drop with his demand, but all you can do is stare at him in a mix of fear and excitement. A murmur runs through the crowd, and already, several hands are pressing against your back, shoving you towards Sukuna, making you stumble and screech as you are about to fall at his feet.
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who catches you before you hit the ground, his muscular arms holding you easily, an amused smirk lighting up his handsome face, light blue eyes glittering in amusement as he drawls teasingly, "Aww, someone's eager to become my little wife, huh?"
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who makes you sit on his lap that evening when a big feast is held in his honor and to seal the peace treaty with your tribe. You barely dare breathe, full of fear as you sit on his strong, muscled thighs, gasping when one of his large hands wanders under your skirt to squeeze your thigh possessively.
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who has two of his men stand guard in front of your door so no one will attack his future wife or maybe to prevent you from sneaking away. But you aren't even sure you want to run from him. Who are you here in your current tribe anyway? Just another orphan who grew up to help on one of the farms. Isn't this new role much more important? To be the bride of Ryomen Sukuna? To be a means that allows your tribe to prosper and ensures peace and trade with Sukuna?
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, whose large hand has a firm, unrelenting grip on your arm as he leads you to his horse the next morning. But he lets you say goodbye to all your loved ones, taking their blessings and well wishes with you before your future husband helps you onto his horse.
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who is such a rough man, but whose hands are surprisingly gentle when he lifts you onto the back of his giant horse. He sits behind you, his firm muscles pressing against your back, rippling with every move he makes. His muscular buff arms cage you in, keeping you captive or keeping you safe. You can't tell which one of the two it is.
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who makes a conflict rage in your chest. On the one hand, you are scared of this dangerous big man who has the power to just demand to have you as if you are some cattle. On the other hand, you can't deny that small hidden part of you that feels excited that such a powerful and attractive man desires you enough to want to make you his wife.
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who makes your pulse flutter nervously when you feel his strong arms around you and hear him order his men around with his low, velvety voice, telling them to find a good resting place for the night.
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who kisses you roughly on that first night. His large hands that cup your face are calloused, but his lips are warm, and his tongue is soft and so skilled when he pries your mouth open and licks into it. It's nothing like the shy, clumsy kisses you shared with the boys in your settlement. Sukuna is a feared warrior, a powerful tribe leader, someone who people believe is actually the son of a god. And you can feel all that in his kiss. Deep and intense, making your head spin and your body brim with a desire you have never felt before.
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who rides with you again the next day and trails teasing kisses down your neck to pass the time during the long ride. You are sure he is fully aware of what he is doing to you. How he makes your heart race and makes a mix of fear and arousal throb in your veins. Especially when he grabs your chin to tilt your face up and capture your lips in a heated, wet kiss, licking unashamedly into your mouth in front of his men, showing everyone that you are his.
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who whispers in your ear, "Are you scared of me, my little wife?" and then breaks out in loud, barking laughter when you exhale shakily and tell him, "Only a fool wouldn't be scared of you... but maybe I am also flattered that you picked me, my lord."
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who still chuckles while his tongue licks a lazy stripe up the side of your neck, and he huskily tells you, "I am not a lord. I am a god. And I saw a goddess right there in that shabby throne room. I had to take you with me. It was a sign from the gods. You will give me such strong and beautiful children. Together, we can conquer the whole world."
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who forces himself to keep his hands off you before your wedding night as a show of respect to the gods, but who lets you feel his desire for you when he hugs you from behind and presses his hardness against you once you have moved into his house.
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who has you dressed in the finest garments for your wedding day. A beautiful red dress lined with gorgeous white ermine fur that was specifically made for you. Your neck, wrists, and ears are decorated with glittering gold and precious gemstones.
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who makes you squeal when he swoops you up into his muscular arms and carries you into the ceremony hall, accompanied by the loud cheers of his people. Your hand is shaking when you exchange wedding rings with him, but you stay brave, speaking your vows and taking Sukuna's heavy sword when he offers it to you as his promise to protect you.
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who sacrifices several of his enemies to the gods to ask for their blessings for your marriage and your fertility. He looks scary with the pattern painted onto his face with fresh blood. But at the same time, it makes him look feral in a way that makes an unknown heat throb between your legs.
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who shares his food and mead with you on the decadent feast held after the wedding ceremony, where you sit on the throne next to his. One of his strong arms stays wrapped around your waist the whole evening, and the deep glances he sends your way make your skin tingle with anticipation.
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who takes your virginity that night, making you cry out in pain when his thick cock splits you open for the first time. But his lips silence your cry, and soon you make other noises. Loud moans of pleasure fall from your lips as your new husband moves inside you with deep and sure thrusts that hit a spot inside you that makes you scratch the broad muscles of his back and arch up against Sukuna's huge body. Your cunt throbs around his cock as you find the sweetest and most intense release you ever had.
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who afterward pushes two of his long fingers into your used cunt to push his seed back into you, leaning down to kiss you savagely and murmuring in your ear that he wants to see your belly hard and swollen with his heirs.
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who paints his clan symbols on your face with a mix of your virginal blood and his cum, telling you that you are his forever and that you are blessed by the gods now too after taking his seed into you.
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who is so proud when you show the first signs of pregnancy.
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who becomes extremely protective and possessive now that you carry his heir. Who worships your body every night, cupping and kissing your swollen breasts, licking at the drops of milk that already spill from them, telling you it tastes like the nectar of the gods.
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, whose large rough hands caress your swollen belly gently, who kisses it, and talks to your unborn child, telling his son, as he predicts, that he will be born under the blessing of the gods. That he will become a great leader and a god himself one day.
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who is triumphant when your first child is a boy with pink hair and a strong build and loud voice. A future leader just like his father. The first heir of many more to follow.
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who is feared by everyone but treats his wife and newborn child with a gentleness that surprises you. He asks you to let him hold your baby and carry him in his strong arms. And the way Sukuna looks at your child tells you that he doesn't just see little Yuuji as an heir but as someone who has Sukuna's heart.
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, whose hungry and proud gaze follows you for days until he has you under him again, fucking you with hard, deep thrusts, moaning loudly, and pumping you full of his seed over and over again. "You gave me such a strong heir, my love. I know you'll give me so many more."
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who rushes to your side when you have a miscarriage during your second pregnancy. Who hugs you to his broad chest, wipes the sweat and blood off you, and cradles you in his arms.
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who kisses your tears away and reassures you when you are scared he will kick you out if you won't give him more heirs.
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who shakes his head and tells you, "I mourn our unborn child, but I thank the gods for not taking my beloved wife away from me too. You are more to me than just a vessel that gives birth to my heirs. You are my wife, my companion, the one who the gods sent to me as my soulmate. I love you. Even if we have no more children, I will never take a new wife."
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who you see in a new light after the reassurance and love he gave you on that day. And suddenly, you find yourself falling in love with your husband, too. You treat him more tenderly. You caress his soft hair when the two of you cuddle in your bed to keep each other warm. You kiss the tattoos on his face and smile at him, your heart fluttering when Sukuna smiles back at you and pulls you into a slow, tender kiss. You will never forget the happiness in his eyes when you tell him you love him too.
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who fucks you thoroughly that night until the two of you are sweating and rolling around on top of the warm furs, kissing and caressing each other needily while he fills you with his hot seed until you are overflowing from it.
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who is delighted when you give birth to your second child, and that child looks like the perfect mix of the two of you. He grins at you and tells you that this is clearly a child of love, conceived on the night you confessed your love to him.
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who is actually a caring husband who truly treasures you. Who likes to spend his nights with you wrapped under the warm furs, making slow love while he kisses you deeply, rolling his hips with those slow, languid moves that make you sob his name and come undone so sweetly on his cock.
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who likes to hold you in his strong arms afterward, with your head resting on his broad chest and your small fingers tracing the tattoos on his chest and abs. He loves to talk to you for hours every night, telling you all about his day, about his current worries and plans, about political things and battle tactics, trusting you with all his secrets.
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, whose love fills you with warmth even on the coldest winter days. Your heart is held securely in his strong hands. And you know that no one will dare lay a hand on you or your children in fear of Sukuna's wrath. His strength and power make you feel safe here in your new home.
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who teaches you how to enjoy sex to the fullest. Who teaches you how to ride his cock and his face. Who teaches you how to take from him too. Because he is your husband, and that means he belongs to you just as much as you belong to him.
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who trusts you with ruling in his place during his absence. Who declares that anyone who disrespects you will get sacrificed to the gods.
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who keeps you on his thick, strong cock all night before he has to leave for one of his various exploration trips or battles, savoring you to the fullest. Making sure to fuck you so good that you will still feel him for days after he set sail.
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who pulls you into his arms one last time before he boards the ship, kissing you deep and long. And there is this burning love in his blue gaze when he tells you, "I will do anything in my power to come back to you, my love. I have the gods on my side. But if, for whatever reason, they should decide it is my time to enter Valhalla, then I want you to know that I will wait there until you join the afterlife, too, and I will come find you, no matter where you are."
+ Tribe leader Sukuna, who luckily doesn't go to Valhalla and always comes back to you with more scars on his gorgeous body but with the same love in his eyes.
Tumblr media
AAAHHH I AM IN LOVE WITH HIM!!! This became much longer than I intended, but I really miss the show Vikings, and I love Viking!Sukuna to an insane amount, so it is what it is ;) This was, once again, very self-indulgent, but hopefully, some of my fellow Sukuna lovers will enjoy it too! Thank you so much to the nice anon who sent me that prompt!
Please let me know what you think. Comments and reblogs would be very sweet.

Everytime I think about Sir Rex's situation I lose it. Just try putting yourself in his shoes.
You're about to get revenge from the vile monsters responsible for your friend and family suffering. Putting your life on the line, you attempted to murder the Vice Tower master after years of spying and infiltrating the knight order but failed miserably.
As you're caught in a dead end, this stranger who isn't even from your continent, a representative of a foreign allied country who received a medal of honor from the crown prince of your empire -you had one conversation with- recognize you in your cat form-that you kept hidden-, saved and healed you.
He easily guesses your whole plan and acknowledge your franckly terribly sad and traumatizing backstory. He somehow is aware of the alchemy tower wrongdoings and much more and is going to help you. He has spies and allies working for him in the country he supposedly only visited twice.
When you're finally healed he looks you dead in the eye and says you're gonna be emperor... after exposing his plans of overthrowing the power in place, destroying the alchemy tower, making the sun churches saint and saintess-supposed dead by the way-forge a new church. He gives you books on how to be a ruler and manage an empire.
And all you have to do while THINGS are happening is read books in that room and make an appearance at the very end.
Why is he doing all this? He says he want a partnership for his kingdom which will also benefit you in the future.
And while you're still tripping and reviewing your life's purpose you meet his two cats- actually children from the same tribe as you -which you weren't really aware of- who explains to you what being a fog cat is and the litteral basics of living while calling you a fucking weakling and their lil bro/servant.

Thinking about how underrated the Foggy Swamp Tribe was in Avatar.
In the show they’re mostly played for laughs. They don’t wear pants, they have thick accents, they don’t seem to know much about the Northern and Southern Water Tribes. But they're a lot wiser than they're given credit for. Not to mention they're big dang heroes.
The Banyan-grove tree
Philosophically, the swamp is fascinating. Their home is centered around a banyan-grove tree, a cross between a mangrove and a banyan—two trees symbolizing life and death.
Mangrove trees are the nurseries of the ocean. Sea life migrates to mangrove forests to lay eggs in the protection of their murky root systems. Bato may look down on the swamp people and make a snide comment about them not wearing pants, but the swamp people are the stewards of ocean life.
Banyan trees are trees of death. The banyan is a parasitic plant that grows by latching onto another host plant, eventually choking the host to death. Banyan figs are also pollinated through death. Wasps crawl into the immature fig, lay their eggs, and die inside it.
So this tree needs death in order to live. And it can’t provide shelter and food for animals without the death of other animals. You can see how this cycle of life and death is reflected in their worldview—which is completely ride or die.
Everything is connected.
The first thing they do once the gaang stops attacking them is call them kin. They bring them home and treat them like family. And I think the swamp people really do see them that way.
They could have comfortably sat out the war. They didn’t. The war might not have affected them personally, but they still felt responsibility to help.
Death is an illusion.
They’re not even scared on the Day of Black Sun. They don’t seem afraid of death at all. They keep cat-gators as pets! For fun! Katara and Sokka are distraught by the visions of dead loved ones they see in the swamp gas. The swamp people live in the swamp gas all the time. Death is all around and they do. not. care. In fact, they embrace it, treat it like a normal, necessary part of life.
Sometimes I wonder what happened to the swamp people after the Day of Black Sun. They surrendered along with the other adults, buying the children time to flee. The swamp people have their own section in the crowd at Zuko’s coronation, so presumably they were released. But released from where? Were they locked in a prison for water benders like the horrific one Hama was imprisoned in? What happened to them in Legend of Korra when Kuvira harvested the banyan-grove’s vines? Where was their kin when they needed help?

more WoF tribe hcs because I feel like it
SandWings often swallow their prey whole like a snake
RainWings, when telling stories, subconsciously change their scales to vaguely match those of the dragons in the story. They find it hard to follow stories told by non-RainWings because they rely somewhat on visual cues. Ex: Kinkajou telling Moon about something Winter said and her scales turning white and blue without her thinking about it.
Dragon wing gestures are something not enough ppl talk about but I love thinking about wing movement as it relates to body language. Wings flared to try to intimidate or to convey excitement, wings swept outward and horizontally to gesture to their surroundings, wings used to point at things, to wave hello or goodbye, RainWing wings outstretched and turned red in a gesture not unlike a middle finger, wings pulled back in shock, wings poised to launch into the air in a fight or flight response when startled, etc etc just WING RELATED BODY LANGUAGE/GESTURES!
SkyWings also 100% have at LEAST 30 rude gestures you can do with ur wings
LeafWings have prehensile tails like RainWings
RainWings as well as IceWings have an incredible ability to right themselves in the air when knocked off balance, kinda like cats lol
SandWings would too bc sandstorms
SandWings are actually really good swimmers
MudWings don't swim but walk along the bottom of the lake/river like a hippo
When RainWings trip on frog poison, their scales turn neon colors
SkyWings have extremely well developed vision and can see insane detail from very far away, like an eagle.
RainWings have courtship dances.
Typically, male RainWings and SkyWings have brighter colors and male SkyWings are more commonly red.
Similarly, blue SeaWings are more commonly male.
HiveWings can be hot pink. (Inspiration from that one kind of grasshopper)
Procreation between NightWings and SeaWings sometimes creates children with bioluminescent black lights.
RainWings can learn to speak Aquatic through scale color changes, though it only works with daylight because their scales are only color changing and not bioluminescent.
SeaWings can get high from pufferfish poison, like dolphins.
SeaWings get sick when they transfer from fresh water to salt water and vice versa, similar to altitude sickness.
SkyWings anatomically have the largest hearts of any tribe. (Ah, the irony)
If they eat too many shrimp or similar seafood, IceWings can turn pink. (It's not cute though, it's often a sign of malnourishment.)
RainWings, LeafWings and NightWings are the only tribes able to eat chocolate without getting sick.
Many NightWings are colorblind, but can see colors in visions of the future.
RainWings can mimick sounds and even voices with bonechilling accuracy.
Pantalan dragons do not have forked tongues.

Tokyo Revengers characters as animals 💖 (for no reason)
Kazutora: let's start with the most obvious one, our resident tiger. Which is funny considering he gives 0 tiger vibes. Or maybe rescued declawed tiger from an abusive circus. Wait a sec... Hanma and Kisaki have a circus theme going on... why did I never notice this? This starts well. Saddest tiger pic I could find
Tumblr media
Baji: A black gray wolf of course. 'nuff said
Tumblr media
Chifuyu: A cat. Kitty kitty meow meow. Not crazy enough to be orange, but he's gotta have green eyes and a kind face. This tuxedo:
Tumblr media
Koko: Talking about cats, here he is. Most obvious choice I've ever made. Black cat of course, very fancy, will knock shit off the counter and eats only the most expensive wet food
Tumblr media
Inupi: second most obvious one because you've gotta pick the race of the dog too. I say he's the only serious golden retriever you've ever seen.
Tumblr media
Takemichi: A mouse. He is squeaky and scared, looks like he eats cheese. Very cute. Big eyes.
Tumblr media
Hinata: A doe, beautiful and kind but will ram into you if you touch her loved ones
Tumblr media
Naoto: a buck because I am unoriginal. he does give off buck vibes tho
Tumblr media
Hanma: I know the official art makes him a caracal but I love being contradictory so maned wolf it is. Plus look at its long legs and creepy demeanor, it's him
Tumblr media
Kisaki: Listen, I am not the most partial person when it comes to him. He's my little meow meow, I wanna put either cat or bunny ears on him and squish his cheeks. But! Let's be honest, that boy is a snake. The deadliest snake in the world, the saw scaled viper, not the most venomous but highly aggressive. He eats mouse Takemichi for breakfast. Also look at its scales, they remind me of his adult hair.
Tumblr media
Mikey: A honey badger, small and cute but will bite your balls off and kill your family for fun.
Tumblr media
Draken: A lion, beautiful mane and a symbol of strength. Lives among a tribe of lionesses (lucky him)
Tumblr media
Mitsuya: I do not like spiders. At all. But an animal literally producing silk is the only choice for Mitsuya. However I am not masochistic so i won't put a spider image, just the web
Tumblr media
Taiju: Great white shark. Very smooth skin. Anyone who tells you they have sandpaper skin is lying.
Tumblr media
Hakkai: A seal, same eyes, same innocence, favorite prey of the great white shark
Tumblr media
Yuzuha: An orca, beautiful but deadly. Only predator of the great white shark. Also eats seals but let's not comment on that. I support women's wrongs.
Tumblr media
Pah-chin: it's too cliché to put warthog here, so i won't. He's a cane toad, one of the stupidest animal on Earth, one of their most common cause of death is eating shit they shouldn't because they stuff their mouth without thinking. They also hump anything, including dead animals from another species, and lay their eggs anywhere, which leads to a high mortality rate among their offspring. Why did I give so many facts? I don't know. Look at it.
Tumblr media
Peh-yan: A tarsier. it's the eyes.
Tumblr media
Sanzu: Arctic hare, crazy eyes and a gift for divination if you can understand his language
Tumblr media
Senju: a cutie baby. Bunny x2, will kick you.
Tumblr media
Takeomi: a rat. I am not a hater, rats can be cute, but this guy definitely gives off rat vibes
Tumblr media
Wakasa: So very pretty. White leopard of course.
Tumblr media
Benkei: A bull. I always thought his tattoos were a bull, but I was wrong I just looked it up. Still a bull.
Tumblr media
Shinichiro: This one was though, but I'd say a koala. I'm partial about it, but I feel like he would give his children poop to eat, and their reproductive habits are also not a good look on them.
Tumblr media
Emma: Japanese dwarf flying squirrel because I play favorites and that's the cutest little furball ever. it looks like it's wearing eyeliner
Tumblr media
Izana: Another small but deadly thing, the Australian box jellyfish, found notably along the coast of Malaysia (I feel so clever right now)
Tumblr media
Kakucho: Fiercely loyal dog, he's a Rottweiler. Don't tell me Izana and him don't have some kind of puppy play going on.
Tumblr media
Ran: Secretary bird. Canonically hates Kisaki which explains why he stomps snakes to death. Wears killer eyeshadow and looks like they hate your fashion style
Tumblr media
Rindou: Did you know a group of male Pacific tree frogs is called a chorus? me neither, which is why Rindou is a Pacific tree frog. Peace of music, yeah
Tumblr media
Mucho: Polar bear, cold and aggressive. Plus arctic hare and polar bear, there's a theme

And Number 5 is another au! I have too many in my drafts…
Cat Tribe KRS!
- He wakes up as the older brother of On and Hong. He doesn’t have any abilities like they do btw. He was always weak, that’s why he was looked down upon by the tribe. Looks the same as Hong except for his reddish brown eyes and longer hair. He is 4 years older than them so that would make him 14 at the start of TCF, which is canon to him and Cale’s age difference.
- He grows up isolated, and looked down upon, in addition to almost starving due to the mistreatment of the tribe after his father is killed. Their father is killed shortly after On and Hong are born. So it is up to KRS to take care of his younger siblings.
- Idk what his name’s gonna be. Probably Arren or something like that.
- When they escape from the cat tribe, he is 12 while On and Hong are 8 and 5 respectively. They stow away on ships and merchant carriages until they reach the Henituse territory, where they spend the next year or so until they meet ogCale.
- Cale meets KRS after seeing him be surrounded by gangsters in the street while out drinking.
- KRS was trying to buy some food and medicine for his sick siblings when these random hooligans started pestering him. Now they won’t let him go and he’s gotta try to find a way to escape without transforming. He really doesn’t have time for this….
- Insert Trash! A bottle comes flying out of nowhere and hits a gangster straight in the face! Many more bottles follow. Just who carries around so many wine bottles…?
- As KRS stares incredulously at this random kid (he’s 18, but ok..), said kid lets out a barrage of swears and the gangsters hurry off, leaving behind a very confused cat child. Also, said kid is very obviously the notorious Trash of the Count’s family. Great.
- Cale decides bring Krs with him, seeing how malnourished he is, but the child refuses to come along without his siblings. Thus, Cale brings home three cat tribe children. He makes sure to get the younger ones treated properly as well.
- The young master makes a deal with krs. The children would stay at the Henituse estate until they are well, and Krs would do various chores to pay them back (Rok Soo is someone who believes in paying for his meals. He’s no freeloader). He meets the scary butler and chef duo, who quickly find out what they are. After teasing the oldest child, Ron decides to keep an eye on them. He wouldn’t want any harm to come to his employers, after all. Even if his puppy young master was the one to bring home these strays.
- During this time, Krs slowly gathers food for the indestructible shield. While he does that, along with his chores, the younger two are aquatinted with Basen and Lily, quickly becoming friends with the younger.
- Cale keeps up his act of trash, but never around the children. After all, children should not have to see such things. Cale finds out they are cat tribe children after witnessing Krs turning into a cat in order to sneak out of the estate.
- In any case, Cale plans to keep these children safe. They’re his responsibility now, no matter how ridiculously mature the eldest among them is. And the fact that they’re Cat Beast Tribesmen makes no difference.

based on a tumblr post about sanji
Honestly, no one is doing it like Clay. He’s technically related to 6 different royal families. He works as a teacher. He’s a convicted criminal. He’s a damsel in distress. He’s a knight in shining armor. He’ll take down a group of soldiers at 10 and then take a classrooms worth of children out for lunch at 11. He has the empathy of a Buddhist monk in the Himalayas. He will beat up an old man. He has never given a fuck. He can’t sleep at night because of how much he cares. He is a scaredy cat. He’ll jump into Hell on earth just to potentially save his sister and her sidekick on the way. He’s dainty. He will set himself on fire even before he knew he was immune. He is a pacifist. He’d beat the living hell out of his love interest. He would be a fashion icon. He would wear Alexander Mcqueen clothes to the beach. He has rarely known untainted happiness. God may have personal beef with him
Holy shit. I didn't even realize until now that Clay is related to the throne of every tribe in Pyrrhia EXCEPT for the MudWing throne. Wild.

The 'mutants' of the fog cat tribe.
Tumblr media
I keep thinking about how little we know of the cat siblings, compared to Cale's other children like Raon or the wolf children. What kind of people were their parents? How did their tribe murder them? Were the siblings there to watch their parents' last moments? How old were they? Why were they 'mutants'? How were they treated there? When and how did they escape their tribe? So as I kept brainrotting at 2 am, a new hyperfixation took over me. And I'm writing two ohn and hong centric fics, neither is going to be finished at current rate, so I drew them to calm my mind. I'm never doing backgrounds again. (It's supposed to be a tent entrance)

How do clowders and colonies compare to the Clans? What are their similarities and differences? What structures do they have that the Clans may not? How long do colonies and clowders usually last for?
This is a difficult question to answer, because every colony is different. I can't even say "they all share some similarities"; they simply don't - even a hierarchy isn't present sometimes, nevermind a naming convention. Cat communities are well known for being very flexible and colorful in their differences. And the longer the colony (or tribe, or family, or gang, whatever they decide to call themselves for however long they last) has been around for, the more unique traits they develop. No one does a Clan quite like the Clans, and the same can be said for any of the major, older colonies spread around the known world.
I can give some traits that are most common in the various communities, though!
A leader or leaders, most often an older molly surrounded by younger mollies as her in-chiefs. The Clans are pretty unusual for having as many tom leaders as they've had and continue to have.
Focus on protecting and caring for the queens and their kits, prioritized above everyone else. These queens also often are given the most lax set of rules if a code is in place, meaning most queens across the known world are allowed to kill someone if they're defending their children.
A naming convention - rarely as intricate as the Clans', but some even exceed the two-part system. In these cases, a name is one of the most important things a cat can own, and to be stripped of it is a significant punishment.
A territory, or a known traveling path that is rarely deviated from. How ferociously these grounds are defended varies wildly. A lot of colonies don't care at all who trespasses and stumbles into their camp, while others kill strangers on sight and leave their bodies for other outsiders to find.
Folklore of some kind, whether that be characters created for moral lessons, gods and afterlives, or simply monsters that are commonly invoked to keep the unruly members in line. Afterlives are fairly similar, when they're believed in and talked about, but there are outliers who believe in some pretty bonkers stuff.
Interactions with scholars to some degree, usually feline ones. The Clans being as shut off as they are is pretty unusual, especially since they live in the wild as opposed to a city where you're not likely to see a deer or badger. Stories are a very valuable commodity around the known world, and most cats are eager to hear them.
Some level of belief, unconscious or fully aware, that this group is the best group ever, and the pinnacle of cathood. But self-centeredness is a cat thing in general, so this doesn't surprise anyone.

Creator of the flat "Earth" and the Apostle of the Cat God: the most interesting facts from the life of Terry Pratchett
Tumblr media
Dreamed of becoming an astronomer
As a child, the boy was very interested in astronomy and stars in general. In adulthood, he not only did not lose interest in this topic, but also built an observatory in his garden.
The first story and a typewriter for earned money
Terry's first work was written when he was 13 years old, and a year later it was published in a school magazine called The Hades Business. On this story, the future writer earned £14 and used them to buy his first typewriter.
The first published novel
In 1971, when Terry was only 23 years old, the world saw his first novel The Carpet People. It is a comic fantasy novel about a tribe of tiny people living on the carpet. When the writer became more famous, he decided to rewrite it by adding an updated text, original black and white illustrations and an exclusive story written when he was 17 years old
From journalism to electricity production
After the Three Mile Island nuclear disaster in March 1979, Pratchett left journalism to become a press officer for four nuclear power plants at the Central Electricity Production Council.
He lost in popularity only J.K. Rowling
In 1996, the Times declared Pratchett a best-selling author in the UK. He sold 70 million books worldwide and was the second most read author in Britain, second only to the J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series.
The award he was most proud of
It may surprise you, but most of all Pratchett was proud of the Carnegie Medal, which was awarded to his children's book The Amazing Maurice and His Raised Rodents. He got it in 2002.
Illness
At the peak of popularity, Pratchett was diagnosed with a severe form of Alzheimer's disease, posterior cortical atrophy. He had gradual degeneration of the cortex, the outer layer of the brain, on the back of the head. The disease leads to difficulties in reading, estimating distance, using tools and spelling. However, the disease did not stop Pratchett's success: in addition to continuing to write, he also became a patron of Alzheimer's Research UK and actively supported fundraising efforts and advocated raising awareness of the disease.
Own sword
The writer has always had an eccentric personality and imagination. Now that he became a knight, Terry needed the right sword he made himself from meteoric iron. The writer found a field with iron deposits near his home in Wiltshire, he himself dug up ore – 81 kilograms. Then he smelted iron ore using a homemade clay and hay furnace. A local blacksmith killed Pratchett's handmade iron rods into a silver-trimmed sword.
The last book
Pratchett's Alzheimer's disease has progressed. However, despite brain atrophy, he still continued to produce books. A few months before his death in March 2015, he finished his last novel about Discworld. Many Pratchett fans keep the book unread on their shelves in his honour.
There were 10 unfinished novels on the hard drive of his computer at the time of his death, but we will never know what they are about. According to the writer's last desire, Pratchett's unfinished works were destroyed. The hard drive was not only broken with a steam roller, but also passed through the stone crusher.

Honestly TCF/LCF is great. I'm rereading it from the beginning, I've never actually finished it, but honestly the amount of times Cale just wanders off for hours, last seen in the slums or a random tea shop and just comes home with a Choi Han or two children from the Cat Tribe and just no one questions it. The only one who does is Hans but even then it's just wanting to care for the kittens. That I understand, he had no way of knowing they're cat tribe but Ron knows from the second he sees them and just doesn't question how, why, where and when he met these cat tribe children . And it's similar for choi han. We know he saw him coming in the gate and Deruth and Hans got the tragic backstory, but none of them questioned why exactly he was in the residential area near the gate to stumble across him in the first place. Also for a second I forgot Cale was 18 and just imagined Beacrox seeing Cale going in the slums and shortly after reappearing with cat tribe children and just thinking Cale had like had children with a cat tribe person, especially since Hong has red hair. I forget how old Hong actually is at the beginning so that didn't help matters. The way he just picks up strays. Like he randomly decides to smuggle Taylor and Cage into the capital, which I imagine is a crime, but literally no one with him questions this decision and tries to say hey maybe don't do this illegal thing. And again I get Ron and Beacrox not reacting, ones an assassin and the other is a torture expert. But the fact that Hilsman, Hans and anyone else with them is just on board with this plan? Like don't disagree with it, don't question it, just go along with it? I get that Cales their young master but everyone just immediately goes along with his plans no matter how insane they are and only really have a problem when Cales plan includes I do something that results in me getting hurt or passing out, which, to be fair, in the first hundred chapters, usually isn't actually part of the plan, it just kind of happens. Meanwhile Cale is just in denial, acting like the sane one. Let me tell you, when people you consider insane are all surrounding you and following plans, chances are you're not as sane or normal as you think.
Also if you for whatever reason have a problem with me using Beacrox instead of Vicross or calling it Trash of the Counts family instead of lout of the counts family. That was the first translation I've seen. This also means I may call Rain City Western City because that's what it says in the translation I'm reading. I don't think it's a big deal but I saw a tweet complaining about it and particularly calling it Trash of the counts family instead of lout of the counts family, which confused me because I knew it as that first and so, when I was reading fanfiction and saw the name Vicross Molran I was like who? I can't have met them yet. I've since learned this is Beacrox Molan, and Beacrox is what I call him. I won't apologise it because that would be dumb but I want it to be noted that this is all purely die to the translation I'm reading

I am seeing a bad and annoying take about all books for adults being boring circulating again so here is my plea to 1) remember that adult fiction written by people other than Ernest Hemingway and F Scott Fitzgerald exists, 2) remember that genre fiction exists and is in fact frequently written for adults, and 3) realize it is counterproductive to the goal of encouraging people to read things they enjoy to throw a different set of books under the bus
Anyway whenever people have book takes that make me mad I’ve decided the healthy response is for me to just make a rec list so here’s some books for adults that I don’t think are boring at all.
Superluminal by Vonda McIntyre. I’m going to keep banging this drum forever. Sci-fi future setting with space travel and a lot of themes of body transformation and there’s magic whales and an overwhelming love for the beauty of the universe as it stretches beyond our comprehension.
The Perilous Courts series by Tavia Lark (first book: Prince and Assassin). Six M/M romance novels set in a high fantasy world. Do you like dragons? Magic? Themes of family and loyalty and betrayal and devotion? Just enough fantasy politics to ratchet up the stakes without bogging you down in the nitty gritty? Want some sweet sweet smut scenes as the cherry on top? Check out these books they’re fucking great.
The Lost Children Archive by Valeria Luiselli. A family takes a road trip across the US, the father researching the Apache tribe, the mother looking into the disappearance of her friend’s two immigrant children who have gone missing in federal custody. I will not lie, this book is heavy, but it is also beautifully written and a really gutting exploration of the parallels and connections between historic and current struggles for survival and the atrocities that struggle is often met with.
We Could Be So Good by Cat Sebastian. 1950s M/M romance. Quieter and slower-paced than the other things on this list but if that’s your jam, this book is incredibly gentle. And I can’t speak for anyone else but my bisexual ass felt INCREDIBLY seen.
The Green Bone Saga by Fonda Lee (first book: Jade City). What if The Godfather was a wuxia novel.
The Gilda Stories by Jewelle Gomez. A young girl escapes slavery and is rescued by vampires. The book is composed of a series of vignettes of her life as a vampire over the centuries. It’s a really different take on vampire lore than any other book or show I know about and I really can’t recommend it enough especially if you like deconstructions of classic monsters.

Do you have a family tree for DOTC and the ancient tribes around the lake with Hollyleaf/Fallenleaf?
I don't yet. When I finish up my re-read, I'm going to gather ALL of the DOTC cats and start dividing them up into the three cultural groups. After getting them all in bundles, I'm going to whip them up into proper family trees.
If you're asking about canon's family tree... I can make it if you'd like, but I'd just be showing you the ticking timebomb of genetic diversity they set up for themselves. It's all Quiet Rainkin and random forest cats, most introduced after book 3. None of the other settlers had grandchildren and the living children have no mates.
Sun Shadow died.
Lightning Tail died and Acorn Fur was forced into a vow of chastity
None of Turtle Tail's kits have kits; one is in a vow of chastity
There's nothing to "preserve" about the canon tree, unfortunately. It's not really a "tree," it's more like a couple of bubbles with a ton of dead women floating around outside.
For funsies, let me try and remember all the "bubbles" off the top of my head, plus when the characters were introduced
Ravenstar x Juniper Branch (Book 6)
Milkweed x Leaf (Book 5, Book 2, plus existing kits with an unknown mate)
Misty (Book 2; kits have no kits.)
Shadowkin: Tall, Moon, Sun (1, 1, 5, extinct)
Jackdaw's Cry x Hawk Swoop (extinct)
Turtle Tail x Tom the Wifebeater (endangered)
Riverstar x Finch Song (Book 1, super edition)
Wind Runner x Gorse Fur (Moth Flight and Dust Muzzle are born in book 3)
Willow Tail (introduced with a sibling in book 4; extinct)
Shaded Moss was the father of Rainswept Flower (extinct)
Fox and Petal were siblings (Petal raised Misty's children)
I forgot the name of Drizzle's mom and sibling (book 6)
I think there's also a cat called Apple Bottom Jeans or something in Thunderstar's Echo who has a litter, but I can't remember her mate without google. There were also some litters born in Riverstar's Home I can't remember. I barely remember the side books, were there any others born in Shadowstar's Life...?
Here's all the pairings in the Quiet Rainkin family, as contrast;
Quiet Rain x Unknown (4 kits)
Clear Sky x Bright Stream (Died pregnant; gave birth to 2 dead angel fetus children in heaven)
Clear Sky x Storm (Thunder was the only survivor of 3)
Clear Sky x Star Flower (two litters; the first was 3 iirc, the second unknown)
Jagged Peak x Holly (3 kits)
Gray Wing x Slate (3 kits iirc)
Thunder x Violet Dawn (4 kits)
So... bottom line is, something like 50% of births were coming out of the Quiet Rainkin family, and they account for something like 30% of cats with existing family at all.
Personally, I think that's awful in a prequel arc that's supposed to be about ancestors. So I'm going to be making whole families for BB.

I don’t engage in the wc fandom all that much and my white ass isn’t good at recognising racism, but I still try my best to call it out.
Is it ok to ask for examples of racism you’ve seen in the warriors fandom? Just so I know what to look out for and call out. I also personally haven’t seen anything but I’m probably biased. I’m not really well educated so I thought I’d ask /Gen
i mean i’m also very white, but some examples of racism i’ve seen in the fandom are as follows (some are more intense than others, but all are bad)
hurling racial slurs at my map participants during discord raids
not listening to indigenous people about the racist shit in the books (namely the terms ‘medicine cat’ and the tribe)
not listening to indigenous people about the feather issue
comparing the cats to actual real life indigenous people (this is different to recognising where harmful racial stereotypes and coding applies, this is instead dehumanising indigenous people)
a severe lack of any warrior cats maps with music from black or indigenous artists
this sort of ties back to earlier points but refusing to engage with the xenofiction genre in general critically and how often it is anti-indigenous and colonialist
the fucking. amount of popular animators who turn out to be throwing around racial slurs behind the scenes. yes i understand a lot of these people are children, no that does not make it excusable.
feel free to add onto this anyone 👍 these are just examples i’ve personally seen so i’m sure i’m missing a lot

this is one of the most unhinged chapters for me reading the novel
[whispers] just between you and i.... cale looks like a proper punk 😭
this is one of the most unhinged chs for me cos cale was refreshingly sadistic? in a way that this mf was HUMMING (and actually full on singing) quite mischievously while they were looking for muller. like.... straight out of a psychological thriller movie type..... love that for him tho
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
we also get to see another character! it’s muller!
[spoilers for manhwa-onlys: he is a half rat half dwarf beastman and will be responsible for designing and building something for the future! and despite his looks, i believe he’s in his 30s]
tbh if i see like a face of a scammer, a dragon and two beast children from the cat tribe i’d shake, cry and throw up too
you guys are probably tired of me saying this but i didn’t envision muller like this in the novel.... or maybe it is because he feels/acts more pathetic in the novel? he’s too adorable in the manhwa tho
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
though, he got fed! lmaooo cale and his pay for ur meals shenanigans
