domestic katsuki & fluff, y'all have a kid, not proofread!based on the tv show 'the return of superman'.

thoughts about your husband bakugou katsuki on a reality show with your daughter taking on a challenge — spending a week without you.

how will they survive? how will your husband survive?

you were a little hesitant about this idea, knowing the two would be the equation of chaos, when left unattended.

though the thought intrigued you, knowing your husband was good- scratch that, he's amazing with housework and taking care of your daughter. you think he can actually manage to take on this challenge all by himself.

the first day without you, just messed up katsuki's morning routine. waking up without you by his side got him in a panicked state, looking around the room rapidly, seeing all the cameras set up around the room and then remembering about the challenge that he had taken on. he had released a sigh, seemingly relaxing.

it had you smiling, the caption had you giggle for a moment.

it was only six in the morning, he was up and cooking in the kitchen for breakfast. you think nothing could ever go wrong for katsuki, a wonderful cook he was. oh how wrong you were

you may have oversetimated your husband, it seems like bakugou had made a mistake once again, he had cooked too much food. still thinking about you while cooking, huh?

it was now the time to wake up your cute little princess, which also proves to be difficult. she was stubborn as her father, not really a morning person — he wonders how you even manage to get this little brat up in the morning?

without you at home it seems like katsuki have resorted for the issue to result in bargaining with your little girl for an ice cream if she behaved. you have never seen a more excited expression on your daughter with the mention of her favorite ice cream. you'll just have to scold katsuki, when you get home.

if waking up your little girl was hard, getting ready was far more difficult, when it shouldn't have.

by no means katsuki can tie his own neck tie, but it's not really the same on how you do it the way he likes. he huffed as though telling himself he just has to live like this for a week.

katsuki has a good sense of fashion, something he had picked up from his parents — it also seems his daughter had taken that from him too. she was only going to school and yet it looks like she's attending a fashion show!

looking at the time from your wall, it was already 6:40? when did the time fly so fast?

his other concerns were now thrown out of the window as he fixed suni's lunch box and gathered her backpack, as they exited the premises of their home, turning around to the door last minute,

you realize what he was looking for.

no, he didn't forget anything, he could never. but, he was looking for you, again. like a muscle memory, turning around before leaving the house to place a kiss on your cheek. but, you weren't here and that just pisses katsuki off.

hell, it's the first day of the challenge and he already wants it to end.

George and Ruby's outfits going into the 1890s represent the odd dichotomy of their new lives. On one hand, they live a relatively "simple" life on Ruby's father's farm, and are compelled to dress practically, in simple, sturdy clothes, in order to support a lifestyle of hard labor. On the other hand, they have Moses's consistent financial support - less so cash, more often in the form of lavish gifts, especially of expensive clothing. They often have multiple outfits for the same occasion, one more expensive, and one more practical.

George in particular has taken to Moses's habit of giving gifts. George finds the promise of wealth infinitely appealing, and although he hasn't yet obtained said wealth, Moses's expensive presents often make him feel as if he has. Because of this influence from his father-in-law, George's outfits have also trended more towards Moses's all-black color scheme, becoming darker in color and adding in more blues and jewel tones, to replace George's teenage greens and yellows. He dresses in Moses's gift-clothing whenever possible, only returning to more practical garments while working on the farm.

Ruby, on the other hand, seems discomforted by the expensive clothes her father throws at her. Her hunger for independence and identity tends to push her away from making use of his gifts, no matter how lovely. She does dress up when he asks her to, or when the situation arises, but otherwise Ruby favors sturdy, comfortable, practical clothing. Some of her outfits do retain her teenage greens and yellows, especially those given to her by Moses, but the majority of her clothes are in a soft, neutral color palette, made up of mostly creams and browns. Still, Ruby does have a taste for drama, and what she lacks in fashionable clothing, she makes up for in her variable, expressive hats, often covered in flowers or feathers.

A simple apartment reno for my "and they were roommates" savefile. Originally home to Austin Wentworth—the flat is now shared by him and two other buddies of his from high school/college.

I wanted to keep it simple, dark colors + greens with splashes of white/cream to fit all of their individual styles. I meant for this to be somewhat of a bachelor pad/hangout spot for their friend group so big open windows to let that natural light in was a must. Honestly, Medina Studios has some of the best lighting in San Myshuno.

Which is why I always have the lights off. There is one light in the living room but its a low light so it doesn't overshadow that natural sunlight :)

I slipped off my shoes and placed them near the doorstep. My socks glided against the furnished planks as I slid to our shared office. I dragged my backpack behind me, feeling the weight of my laptop, notebooks, and textbooks. Once I made it to the room, I placed my bag on the chair and unpacked all my belongings onto my desk.

Today was too exhausting, and the one thing I dreaded doing right now was to open my laptop and be faced with more work. Instead of taking my laptop with me, I grabbed my phone and dragged myself out of the office and into the bedroom.

After changing into my loungewear, I snuggled myself into silk sheets, shivering a little from the cold fabric wrapping around my body. Ignoring the chill, I held up my phone with both of my hands and swiped open the messaging app to text my boyfriend. I glanced at the past messages, realizing that Wil hasn’t responded to any of my messages from this afternoon. The last time he texted was this morning when was telling me what time he would come home. Sighing, I typed in another message in hopes that this time he would respond.

“Hey, I’m home now. Too tired to cook food today. Let’s order something when you get home? <3”

I clicked send before clicking off my phone and placing it on the nightstand. My eyes fluttered close, and slowly, I drifted off to sleep.

I woke to the sound of footsteps clicking against the ground. With my hands I pushed my body up to examine the noise. From the corner of my eye, I caught a glimpse of a familiar tall figure headed toward the office. A small smile formed on my face as I carefully got out of bed.

My bare freet pressed against the cream colored carpet. I wandered around the hallway before finding the office door slightly ajar. Through the crack I saw Wil hunched over his computer. His sweater’s sleeves were rolled up to his elbows and his fingers hastily clicked against his keyboard. Quietly, I approached him from behind, throwing my arms around his shoulders and hugging him close.

Wil quietly hummed in response. I titled my head, pecking his cheek, but he didn’t react and instead his eyes stayed glue to his screen. My eyebrows slightly furrowed, but nonetheless, I continued hugging him.

“Hey, sweetheart.” I mumbled in a croaky voice.

“Hey,” he replied blankly.

“Did you see my texts earlier today?”

“Uh huh,” He said absently. “I saw the message after I ate though. Sorry.”

I felt my chest tighten a little, hurting at his absence. All I wanted in the moment was a hug and a conversation about each other’s day, but instead, he was absorbed in his work and couldn’t even make the effort to look at me.

“Wil, can we talk?” I asked.

He slightly shook his head. “No, not right now, honey. This video has to be out by tomorrow and one of our editors hasn’t been feeling well so I took up the work.” He explained briefly.

“But you’re already busy working at the studio…” I mumbled.

“I know, but I can finish this up by tonight. Just give me some time, please.” He requested. My heart skipped a little, feeling like a dog that had been put aside for a brand new puppy.

“Wil, you haven’t talked to me all day. Could we at least just have dinner together?” I nearly pleaded.

“I already said I just ate, (y/n).” Wil said rather sternly. “Please can I just finish my work?”

“But I want to spend time with you.” I said, speaking up a little bit. I unwrapped my hands away from him and stepped back a little. He turned his chair a little to face me with one of his hands still on the keyboard. He looked up at me, a stressed but furrowed expression on his face. I wrapped my arms around myself, hugging my own chest.

“I want to spend time with you but you’re basically prioritizing this work over me.” I said again. “I understand that sometimes you have too much work. I understand that. But we haven’t been spending time with each other for the past few days and it’s driving me crazy. I just want to relax with you, Wil.” I bit the insides of my cheek. Wil, in turn, sighed and rubbed his nosebridge.

“I’m not prioritizing work over you, (y/n), I’ve just been busy lately and this argument is just stressing me out even more.” His words were spat out like venom.

“Which is why I’m asking that we just spend time together! This isn’t just for me, but it’s for you too.” I threw my hands up, frustrated. “Wilbur, we can relax together! You’re acting like this isn’t stressing me out either!”

Wil got up from his seat now. His tall figure nearly towered over me, making me slightly cower. “I DON’T WANT TO FUCKING RELAX RIGHT NOW, (Y/N)! I HAVE SHIT TO DO!”

I stepped back, nearly stumbling. Without realizing, tears were running down my burning hot cheeks. The air went cold and I felt this hallowing emptiness surrounding me. A ringing was bouncing in my eardrums and goosebumps ran through my arms and legs. He looked down at me, eyes wide as if he just realized what words escaped his lips. Before he could say a word, I walked out of the office and back into bed, slamming the door behind me.

I jumped into the mattress and buried my face deep under the sheets. I quietly sobbed into the fabric, not caring for the tears darkening the silk. It didn’t take but a couple minutes later to hear the creaking of the door and soft footsteps approaching the bed. I lied still under the covers as I felt the mattress dip from a newfound weight.

Wil sat there for a while. His knee shook a little, making a tiny thumping noise against the floor. I was turned away from him with his lower back lightly pressing against the heel of my foot.

“(y/n)..?” He softly called out for me. “Are you awake..?”

I shifted a little, moving my foot away from him to let him know I was listening. He sighed with his leg coming to a stop.

“(y/n), I’m sorry. I—I’ve just been really stressed, but that gives me no right to start yelling at you. And me being really busy has been taking away the time with you.” He paused a little bit, presumably licking his lips. I still didn’t have the courage to move. Instead I laid still, not daring to move. “I’m really sorry, (y/n).” He apologized again.

A deep sigh huffed from my nostrils before I sat up, letting the sheets cascade off my body. He turned his head to look at me, his feet still planted on the ground. I looked into his eyes, seeing the pained looked deep in those irises.

“Y-You know I don’t like loud noises.” I croaked out, my voice cracking with my words. He slowly nodded, bringing his legs up on the bed to fully face me. “And I really don’t like it when you yell. Please, I really just wanted to spend time together.”

“And we will spend time together.” He grabbed my hands and cradled them in his. “I’ll message Elodie right now if she could finish the work. But right now, it’s going to be me and you together, okay? We can maybe catch up on our show and I’ll order some food for you, okay?” He reassured, rubbing his thumb against the back of my hand. “Maybe I’ll steal some fries from you every once in a while.”

I giggled a little. “Noooo! Get your own food!” I whined, lightly pushing his shoulder. He chuckled in response before wrapping his arms around me, pulling me close to his chest. I wrapped my arms around his torso in response, breathing in his scent.

“I just missed you, Wil, you know that…” I softly whispered. He nodded, running his fingers through my hair.

“I missed you too. I promise I do.” He whispered back. His voice was low and deep but he made sure to maintain his volume. It was soothing, something I could fall asleep to,

and most importantly,

it wasn’t loud.

CC starts leaving little notes in your books, encouraging you to keep reading. She even recommends soccer-themed novels, which you find endearing.

Once CC realizes how much you mean to her, she becomes fiercely protective. Your not a nerd by definition, you don’t have the attributes of the stereotype “nerd” you don’t have near sighted glasses or braces the size of Texas, and even if you did Cc wouldn’t care. But you were smart, the kind of smart that was clever and would often involve others to be envious of you. When bullies target you for being a nerd, CC steps in. Her glare alone is enough to send them scurrying. She’s not afraid to use her soccer skills to defend you either—she once kicked a soccer ball right into a bully’s backpack!

She insists on walking you home after school, even though your house is in the opposite direction. “Safety first,” she says, taking your hand in hers and you secretly love it.

CC may be a sports star, but she’s also surprisingly diligent when it comes to helping you study. She sits with you at the library, quizzing you on history dates and scientific theories. She loves watching your eyebrows crease and your lips move in concentration.

She’s patient, explaining concepts with soccer analogies. “Think of electrons as players passing the ball,” she says, and suddenly, chemistry makes sense.

When you’re exhausted, she insists on taking you out for ice cream. She knows the best flavors for stress relief.

CC secretly loves your nerdy quirks. She finds your enthusiasm for trivia nights adorable, and she’s genuinely interested in your latest coding project.

She surprises you with tickets to a soccer game, and you surprise her with a rare first-edition book. It’s a beautiful balance of interests.

CC’s friends tease her about her “nerdy girlfriend,” but she just grins and says, “she’s my nerdy girl”.

CC’s definitely one for after school makeouts. What can she say is a teenage girl after all. She loves hovering over you, kissing your lips with a feverish hunger. CC’s soft, yet firm in the way she holds you close, her tongue unforgiving in the way she traces the soft skin of your neck, she enjoys watching you squirm. “Sensitive already sweet girl?” She grins, cobalt eyes dark, lips red from your cherry lipgloss. “Don’t worry” she coos soft in your ear, “I promise I’ll be soft”. You don’t want her to be soft. Not really. (Had to thrown in a steamy thought…I had to)

To begin so you move away from your smelly apartment building. To start a life filled with yummy chocolate treats so good Willy Wonka would faint! Being an apartment manager you didn’t get much money. As people would think but you work hard in odd jobs to get enough. To start your little shop filled with chocolate goodies!! This is the life you’ve wanted but when a customer walks in. Who you're taken with your life changes when you go on just one date. Then not long after you're pregnant or they are. Life goes on with you and your family in the chocolate shop. One day you no longer have the time for your little shop. So as an Elder you pass it along to your kids. To do what they can with it to spread the love of chocolate. That’s what your dream and love was built with sensationally good chocolate desserts!

It becomes an obsession all you can think about is making that oohy goohy sandwich. Suddenly you start to get made fun of for acting like such a goofball. Being a loner in love with grilled cheese! You don’t mind but after a while you decide to start a family. You have a science baby and the child/children become your biggest fan! Of all your cheesy grilled cheese jokes and for you that’s the best kind of applause to have!!

Campfires and toasty marshmallows make you happy but you're so hot headed like the fire you get warm from! As a child your parent tried to calm your overactive emotions but they always melted out your mouth! Your parent tried to calm you with laughs and toasty sandwich jokes. But the only thing that helped was yummy marshmallows by a fire. As a child and teen your parent took you camping to settle your pesky mood swings. As a teen you made very little friends because of your anger acting out. Yet you managed to graduate from high school. Now you're a young adult ready to face the big bad world. Of all places you decide to take up camp in Strangerville far away from people. Because you know even though your parent would say differently. You're nothing like a marshmallow you're a mess like a smore. In Strangerville you find a chaotic place to stay with two other people. Like you who you can call your fiery spirited friends. They might be possessed by alien plants or have erratic emotions. May even be a bit furry but this is a home, your random log home on a hill with your maniac friends. There you stay with them and start your life as a criminal. Stealing from the ones who made Strangerville weird. Practicing gardening and herbalism that helps your mood chill out. One of your friends take notice and ask you out, you find out their a werewolf! But that doesn’t stop you, ya'll get together. Move to Moonwood Mill, a truly nice place to camp forever even for a human like you. You Marry them and have lots of campfires together with your children too! You may have a hot head crunchy on the outside but a hard to miss mushy fun center. All because of your biophile and crime life you had in wacky Strangerville. That led to your forever woodsy home with your werewolf partner and children.

You move to Mt.Komorebi the place for both the things you crave! The chilliest place in all the sims worlds! There you stay in a home in the snow you built with your own two hands. You're not afraid to be a little messy here and there especially if it means adventure! You start making a living teaching yoga, doing peoples nails and giving massages. In your favorite place of all a spa or park, it makes you a good amount of money! Now you have more time to snowboard or ski to be the true adrenaline junkie you are! On the slopes one day you meet a local who shows you the more hotter areas of the world! You two get close and date but after awhile you notice they are boring. So after a night of closeness and woohoo you leave them. You know you deserve someone who can relate more with you and is fun! So after being alone for a bit with just you and the mountain. You finally meet someone on cupid's corner who you connect with! You meet up and go on a date. It leads to marriage and having a nice home in the cold full of memories. Pictures of your journey as a couple and of your family you made together! You may have left your home young but you're too cool and chill to care!

Gen.6 Mint Chocolate Chip Requirements:

Gen.7 Cookies and Cream Let Me Be Your Ghostly Muse🍪

You're such a nosy sim but you're always looking for someone to be your muse! An uninspired photographer with no muse only black and white photos of nothing. As a child your parents saw potential in you for creative things but didn’t know what?! They encouraged you but you had lazy tendencies to slake off. Which they knew wouldn’t get you anywhere in life! So as a teen they got you a camera in hopes it would spark something in you. You start taking photos of everything, even the oddest things. That nobody would ever photograph but you always loved the weird things. Supernatural lore interested you so much. That after you graduated you started the freelance photographer career. Then you found a creepy old home with lots of eerie things to photograph. So you live there but after the first week there you're terrified! Guess you are afraid of ghosts but you meet a friendly one along the way. Who you’ll truly miss when you move out. So you move out into a house down the street. Because for the first time ever you found your muse! And you won’t dare step foot back into that strange abandoned house! Time passes and you forget all about your ghostly encounter. You do well as a freelance photographer and you have a child/children. From someone whom you thought was nice. But they were evil so it didn’t work out with you two. Now you're searching for your next muse but you’ve grown lazy as an Adult. And lost all hope for you to soar, after finding your courage! You decide after losing your photographer's eye to be lazy and enjoy early retirement. Living back in that spooky house you used to live in. Raising your child/children in a very unpredictable home..You used to photograph in black and white but now you're lazily. Eating cookies occasionally hooking up with a ghost..waiting to become a ghoul. To add to the undead list of members in your house!

Gen.8 Pineapple Your So Breezy and Easy🍍

You live where pineapples grow on trees. It's so breezy and you're far too easy! As a child you were always so mischievous playing pranks and being rebellious. Your parent tried to understand you but things got out of hand. As a teen you decide to ditch your parents' ghoulish filled home. For life on the waves and soaking up the sun with pineapple juice. You thought life was going to be fun living in sunny Sulani right on the beach. Running away from home started to look dule. Till you took up new hobbies fishing and juice fizzing. Soon you were fishing so good you were too sneaky for the fish. And as far as making juice you are a pro! as a Young Adult you're living the life. You become a mixologist serving up the best drinks on the sand. Living In your old beach house made from random trash you found. By the sea you see all the people laying on the beach. So many hearts you can potentially break. That becomes your new goal in life. Maniacally and deviously you don’t care about the sad people you leave behind. You woohoo and become the town player soon the islanders take notice! They banish you now you're getting karma right back at you. Now you don’t know what to do! So you move to a new world as an Adult and start a new life you marry and have kids. This is not how you wanted your life to go! So you have an affair and find out you're not a , you're just poly. You want to have multiple partners so now you know why you went around to different people. That doesn’t explain though, why you love hurting people emotionally. Why was that so fun for you? You have a family and it’s supposed to be all about them. But you don’t care so you neglect your partner and your children. To be in a poly relationship and maybe still be the villainous valentine who loves sipping pineapple juice!

-Sell your Juice Fizz for extra money on the side from your job.

You avoid it as a Young Adult you leave your parents toxic home. For a life on your own in Henford on Bagley living in a cozy cottage this is your new home. That actually feels like one your sibling was struggling living in your old home. So you adopt them and you take care of them as if their your own. You make money by being a Gardener and growing beautiful garden full of blueberries and other plants. On the side you knit and cross stitch as a hobby. But you sell them too when money runs low. You and your sibling are super close happier then most people. Who went through what ya’ll went through as they grow up. You watch them become the person they're meant to be. It’s all because you took them under your wing. Living your comfy life with your sibling was the best decision of your life. You're an Adult now and their a Young Adult you watch them be a romantic have a baby early on. When they weren’t ready so you offer to adopt the baby and they leave to live their life. Now as a Parent you hope that this child will know something you and your sibling didn’t. That their stitched with love and perfect to you! You're the one they always call for a good time! But now you can only go out at night to release the animal in you! As a child your parents weren't around you and were raised by your aunt/uncle. They took good care of you so you are a nice person who loves people. But because of that you get jealous that people you get close with will leave you! As a teen it was a struggle going out all the time, drinking and blowing bubbles on the “bubble blower.” Never doing your homework you and your aunt/uncle got into it. Over your grades and what you're doing wrong. You ended up graduating high school so you wouldn’t disappoint your aunt/uncle. But now as a Young Adult you're living it up in University. Going out having the time of your life! At nightclubs, bars, bowling alleys etc. with your friends. You avoid your school work after all the only reason you're here. Is to get away and enjoy your life while still making your aunt/uncle happy. One night when you go out you get really “juiced.” Since you were too dazed to ride your bike you walk back to your dorm. Suddenly there’s a shadow and boom there before your eyes a vampire! You never believed in such things till you fell hard for an undead blood sucker. They try to fight your chemistry and instead become enemies with you. After a while you flunk out of college left to leave the party school vibes behind. But you don’t want to go home so instead you move in with your nemesis vampire. In the dark corners of Forgotten Hollow you become fascinated. Day by day with your beastly love interests every move. After a while of trying to not be with you they get close with you. Then seduce and bite you! Suddenly everything changed life as you knew it became gray and you craved blood. The next morning they left and packed their bags. Like you were just their meal but now you need what they did. What are you going to do you left school to become this demon-like vampire! You miss your friends so you move in with your old friend. You hide your vampirism and try to go back to life as you knew it. Partying having the time of your life after all you were the life of the party..! Now things are too different. You can’t be around humans. So you find a cure to go back to your exciting life as a university drop-out party animal!

"Post 10 Facts About Me"

Thanks for the tag, @greighish (yeeaaaaaah!!) and @lynzishell (your tag asked for fewer facts but, look, this is like winning the lottery, but less fun).

And now, just between you, me, and the internetz:

I love books, stories, etc. I read everything- fiction, non-fiction, etc. 

I can drive a stick shift. Do I drive it well? That’s another story. But if we had to flee zombies? I’d come in clutch (pun intendeeeeed).

I HATE ice cream. Hate it with every fiber of my being. It is gross, horrible, and if I have to sample it, imagine me doing so as if in an existentialist black and white French movie with a crackling melancholic soundtrack playing in the background.

I’ve lived in different countries while growing up. 

I know all the puppers in my neighborhood by name… but not their owners’ names. Ooops!

I’m an introvert. People don’t believe it because I can be very social and outgoing…But I promise you once I get home, I need to decompress and recharge.

I used to play the Sims 1 when it came out and hoarded cc obsessively on CDs I’d burn. Stopped when 2 came out. Discovered 4 during the pandemic and now I share my silly stories here. I still hoard cc. It’s an illness; pray for me.

Cherries are my favorite fruit.

I give my OCs quirks I have. For example, Sasha has a collection of stupid T-shirts: I have a collection of stupid T-shirts. 

I have been drinking a lot of tea. I think I like it more than coffee.

hi! this is my contribution to day one of #azrielappreciationweek2023 (cc: @azrielappreciationweek)

the prompt is "The Family You Make" so I wrote a little one-shot about Az and Nesta, my favourite little bestie pairing 💕

1.3k words - no warnings other than slight language :) just two friends notorious for not talking about their emotions, talking about emotions!

Azriel struggles to hold back his grin when Nesta waddles into the library at the House of Wind where he’s reclined on a sofa in front of the fireplace, flipping through yet another report in preparation for a meeting with Rhys in the morning. She’s wearing a simple oversized nightgown in the colour of cream, one of her hands rests on her swollen belly while the other is pressed against the small of her back.

Nesta is only a few weeks from giving birth to his very first niece and while she’d only become more beautiful over the past few months, the scowl on her face tells him that she is more than ready for this pregnancy to be over.

Azriel quickly swings his long legs off the sofa, shuffling around and sitting up to make room for her.

“Oh, yes. Please. Go ahead and laugh at me.” She glares at him as he chuckles, watching as she carefully lowers herself onto the seat he’d left free for her. He knows better than to offer help but a few of his shadows gather around her just in case. “If you had been a better chaperone, maybe I wouldn’t be in this fucking predicament.”

“Right.” Azriel snorts. “As if my presence has ever deterred you two from…” He trails off, making vague gestures with his hands to convey his thoughts instead of using the obscenities that came to mind. 

She only rolls her eyes in response and he knows that she knows that he’s right. 

Nesta and Cassian had never been particularly shy about making sure their needs were met and as ravenous as the two of them were, Azriel’s ears had unintentionally been made witness to their activities more times than he cared to admit. Even the enchanted ear plugs Elain gave him for Solstice one year hadn’t been enough to drown out the sound some nights.

Azriel pats his leather covered thigh and Nesta’s lips tilt upwards at the corners as she turns to the side and lifts her legs. He reaches down and meets her halfway, grasping her calves to help her lay on the sofa with her feet in his lap. Nesta sighs with relief at the feeling of his thumb pressing into the sole of her foot.

“Oh you’re so wonderful to me, Shadowsinger. So good with those hands of yours.” She smirks. There’s a suspicious lilt to her voice. “I’ll be sure to put in a good word for you with you-know-who.” 

Azriel’s hands pause as he fixes her with a stern look. 

“Sorry, sorry!” Nesta apologises, laughing in a way that tells Azriel she isn’t sorry at all. “Please keep going, I promise I’ll keep my mouth shut.”

They spend most of their evenings together like this whenever Azriel is home from an assignment, whether Cassian is around or not. Most of the time, the three of them gather together in the library or the living room, chatting until the early hours of the morning. But sometimes it’s just him and Nesta, sitting in the comfort of each other’s presence, passing sweets back and forth while she reads a book and he reads his reports.

It was rare for Azriel to befriend new people but Nesta had seamlessly become a significant part of his life because they had understood each other so intrinsically from the very beginning.

Azriel had seen right through her abrasiveness. He knew that behind her snark and cutting remarks, there was a female that was so wounded that she’d rather push people away than let someone in close enough to hurt her. He understood that she was frightened to allow herself the things she wanted for fear that they would be taken from her.

Likewise, he had caught Nesta watching him with eyes that noticed too much on multiple occasions. He was aware that she saw the way he yearned for something or someone he couldn’t or wouldn’t allow himself to pursue. Azriel also had utter confidence that she would never say anything about it to anyone, or even to him, unless he brought it up first. 

Nesta would always keep his unspoken secrets just as he kept hers. 

It’s quiet in the library for a long while, only the quiet crackle of the fire and the sighs coming from Nesta as Azriel relieves the agonsing tension in her feet, when she breaks the silence. 

“Az?” Her voice is uncharacteristically soft in a way that makes her seem so small. When he glances over at her, Nesta’s eyelids are shut and there’s a tiny, sad frown on her face. 

“What is it, Nes?”

“I’m so scared.” Her words are shaky and barely above a whisper. “What if I’m not a good mother?”

Azriel’s eyebrows furrow together, his fingers stopping for half a second as he contemplates what to say.

“Why would you think that?” 

“I just…” She takes a deep breath. “I never had a good relationship with my own mother and I’m worried that I’ll end up being just like her.” 

Azriel opens his mouth to respond but stops when she continues.

“Cassian is so good. He has so much love and he gives it so freely.” Nesta swallows. “It’s harder for me. What if I screw her up?” 

“I think that being worried that you’ll be like your mother is proof enough that you won’t be anything like her. Bad parents don’t tend to worry about how they’ll treat their children.” Azriel says gently. “You love so deeply, Nesta. Just because you show it in a different way than Cass, it doesn’t mean that you’re any less capable of raising and caring for a child than he is.” 

Nesta exhales and Azriel can tell that her mind is still racing. 

“You practically raised, Elain.” He rotates her ankles. “I know how much you love your sisters and I know how much they love you. Besides, you’re already wonderful with Nyx. He adores you. He’s always babbling about his Aunt Nesta.”

Azriel smiles when he hears her laugh quietly. She knows that what he said is true. Because while Rhysand and Feyre’s son was often attached by the hip to Elain, Nesta was the only person he’d leave her to go running to the second he heard her voice or she entered his line of vision. 

Cassian, Azriel, and Rhys had all burned with jealousy that the winged boy they had waited centuries for had seemingly taken an immediate liking to the females of the family but with any luck, they’d get their revenge once Cassian and Nesta’s daughter entered the picture.

“You’ll be an incredible mother.” Azriel pats her calf in what he hopes is a reassuring manner. “You and Cass will be brilliant parents and that little girl will be so loved. You know I can’t wait to meet her.”

“You’re a great friend, Az.” She reaches a hand out to him and he takes it in his. Warmth floods him as she squeezes his fingers gently. “Cass and I are lucky to have you. She’ll be so  lucky to have you, too.” Nesta rubs her other hand over her bump and Azriel watches in amazement as her movement is met with a small but powerful kick from the babe inside her womb. 

“She agrees.” One of Nesta’s eyebrows lifts in amusement and she gives him her first proper smile of the night. 

His heart swells as he returns her bright smile with a soft one of his own. It swells even more when he looks up to see Cassian leaning against the doorway with his arms crossed, watching him and Nesta with a fond smile and eyes shimmering with tears.

Azriel couldn’t possibly think of anyone better suited to be his best friend’s Mate. Nesta was strong willed and stubborn but she loved so fiercely even if she couldn’t admit it to herself. She would lay her life on the line for Cassian over and over again, as she had done once before. It was the tough, relentless type of love that his kind hearted friend deserved and Azriel was proud that over time, she had slowly but surely become someone that he could not only call his friend, but his sister.

Jaune: I... guess I can understand that. The placenta was also really big, huh?

Ruby: It kind looked like that liver you cooked the other night.

Ruby: Um... Okay?

Oobleck: Good evening, Miss Rose! I am Dr. Oobleck, and I am here to sew the tear in your perineum.

Ruby: My what?

Jaune: It's, uh, the place between your butt and your vagina.

Ruby: HUH?!

Ruby: (Thinking) SO IT WASN'T BIG ENOUGH AT ALL?!. I KNEW IT!.

Ruby: After that, I spent the rest of the day resting in my room away from the baby. I finally got to play my gacha games, and it's a good thing, too, because tomorrow was the big day; my first day as a real mom.

Ruby: (13:00) Ow!

Ruby: (16:00) OW!

Ruby: Geez!. I had no idea my nipples would hurt this much from all this breastfeeding. AND THERE'S A BLOOD BLISTER, TOO?!. WHAT THE HECK?!.

Ruby: My first night alone with the baby was obviously going to be nerve-wracking for me. And the fact Jaune went home to get it ready for the baby that night was just all the more aggravating for me. At one point, she started crying for no reason at all! I just fed her, her diaper was clean, and I was a first-time mom alone with her! What could I do?!

Ruby: Then I got an idea! I could play the music from my game and that should calm her down!

Ruby: ...But then I noticed I was playing a video game in front of my crying baby. I was the worst mother in the world.

Ruby: I didn't sleep a wink at all that night. When the nurse came in, she said it was time to breastfeed, so I was kinda stuck to try. After I barely got any out, my three hours between were spent eating so much, my belly felt like it was going to burst! It was an endless cycle of eating and feeding.

Ruby: Then it was time to be discharged, and Jaune was there to pick me up. I was finally home, and Jaune did an amazing job getting the house ready!

Jaune: Here, I put a swing in our room so we can both be here when she's asleep.

Ruby: Oh, thank you! Thank you~!

Jaune: I'll keep an eye on her while you rest.

Ruby: Oh, thank you! My nipples are KILLING me! (Taps scroll) Maybe there's some advice online that can tell me what to do. Hm... I could use a cream safe for babies and cover my nipples in plastic wrap.

Ruby: Wait... WHY IS THIS SO FAMILIAR?!

Ruby: Unfortunately, I couldn't keep up with my baby's feeding schedule, so I had to use a formula to replace my breast milk until I was ready. But it's still so scary, because her neck is so wobbly! And sometimes, after she's done eating, she doesn't burp right away! AND- And when she sleeps, she's so still that I think she might be dying!

Ruby: (Sobbing into the couch) I'M THE WORST MOM EVER! It feels like the only thing I can do is worry and freak out over the most tiny insignificant things!

Jaune: (Carrying dinner bowls) There, there. Just think, this is only the beginning, and she won't be like this forever. (Hands bowl) And don't forget that I'm here, too. We'll figure this thing out.

Ruby: ...Yeah.

Ruby: (Doing squats) Up and down, one! Up and down, two~! (Giggles) You're smiling~!

Ruby: Hah... You look so peaceful sleeping. (Taking pictures, Sniffles) Wah~! You're so tiny, but so strong and so brave~!

Ruby: (Sighs) I wish I could have heard your first cries, but I was so out of it after the birth, I barely noticed when they put you in my arms.

Ruby: To be honest, I don't really know what it means to be motherly, and the only thing I really felt about her was how much responsibility I was going to have taking care of you, but day by day, I fell more and more in love with you, my baby girl.
