Hi, I am writing you about your Chinese Restaurant set. The change tray item does not show up properly but it has violet shades and rainbow "?" all over it. Could you please have a look when you can? Thanks in advance! ^_^

In this case, the image was supposed to be 256 x 256, but it was 256 x 252 for some reason. The objects end up looking like this:

So if you ever run into this issue, that is the cause and is easily fixed!

Hello! I’m not sure if you’re aware but I get the glitch of loose teeth causing my sims to become a void and look completely different with your teeth sets!

Hi nonny! The only way for this to happen is if you have:

Outdated teeth defaults (the old EA Teeth Begone set from pyxidiis is outdated and WILL cause the bug, icecreamforbreakfast's default set is updated since growing together however, make sure you have the latest file from them!)

Outdated child teeth (my growing pains set is the only child set i have, make sure you're updated to the latest files i have posted to cf or patreon)

Possibly other outdated teeth sets from other creators, especially any for children

An old save file that has the child sim from before the bug was patched out, that possibly still has the old version of the buff EA removed, I've heard that it can linger even after all files are updated. But if it happened recently, I don't think this would be it.

No other teeth set from me besides the outdated pre-growing together version of the growing pains set is possible to cause the glitch. It is impossible considering how the teeth are made (cloned directly from EA's, just with a different mesh and texture) and how the bug worked (a buff placed on your sim). Pretty much everyone I've experienced with this problem had the pyxidiis defaults so check if you have those first! Hope this helps :)

I’ve recently received some messages regarding an error caused by some of my custom content. The error states that certain files are corrupted, preventing the game from opening.

I’ll investigate this issue further and report back if it can be resolved.

For troubleshooting, please try the following steps:

1. Delete the corrupted ‘.package’ file from your Mods folder (make sure to completely delete the file; don’t just replace it with a new one).

2. Delete your ‘localthumbcache.package’ file.

3. Re-download the file from my Patreon.

Sims 4 - Game not starting issue (PC user fix?)

I've been having issues recently with my sims 4 game not opening, went through many trial and error. I've seen some other people experience issues with this as well so I am posting this to try and help those figure out a solution and/or what has helped me.

(Please note - Mods are not an issue in this as I have done the testing with no mods active.)

First, I will list a number of things that can be a simple issue that does not cause you to delete files etc. One thing that I've noticed fixes it is to completely restart your pc every time before launching sims but that is not an ideal fix as it can do harm to your pc resetting it so often. It is always recommended to make a back up file of your sims folder so you don't lose any gameplay. (Learn how to back up your gameplay here.)

Check your antivirus & firewall and make sure nothing is blocking the sims. (It is never recommended to play with antivirus off, but turning it off to check if that is the issue can be a easy fix. If this is the issue you will have to go through some settings to allow sims 4 through your antivirus / firewall. (Possible help here.)

Make sure your drivers are updated. Depending on which drivers you use you need to check if the driver is needing updated. In my case I use NVIDIA drivers, so I use GeForce Experience to update my NVIDIA driver. If you use a different one you can google which you need to update your certain driver. (If you use NVIDIA, you can get GeForce Experience here to update your drivers.)

Make sure OneDrive is NOT syncing. (For some reason, this ruins the game.)

You can right click and try and run as administrator on EA app.

Delete EA, and do a clean install.

If you're still running into issues, like I was there is a few more things you can do to fix this issue. A quick (not permanent) fix I've found out is basically clearing EA cache. If you want a quick fix to be able to play the game and not have to reset your whole PC.

Open your EA app, in the top left navigate to those 3 line bars, from there go to help > app recovery. This will basically clear EA cache and restart the application.

Then, go to steam > go to your game library, and find Sims 4, right click > properties > installed files > verify integrity of game files. This will load for a moment, going through your steam files. Then you will force close the Steam application.

After doing all this, try opening your sims game and it should load up and be playable. Like i stated above this is not a permanent fix, but it works for me when nothing else is working.

Finally, I think I've come to an outcome on the issue. In the AppData files (which is in hidden files) there is a folder that is called "Origin" which was what Sims 4 used to run through before switching to EA, even if you've never downloaded Origin for sims, there is a large chance this file is in your PC and the cause of the game not opening.

Open hidden files so you can see the file to delete. (If you don't know how, I've included a Microsoft link here.)

Uninstall the EA app, and restart your PC.

Delete these folders: (AppData is a hidden folder, please do #1.) C:\Users\YOUR-USERNAME\AppData\Local\Electronic Arts C:\Users\YOUR-USERNAME\AppData\Local\EADesktop C:\Users\YOUR-USERNAME\AppData\Local\Origin (the top 2 might not be there if you uninstalled EA and restarted computer as said in #2, but be sure to delete the Origin folder.)

Empty trash

Reinstall EA app through the website - can be found here. If not all your installed games are visible then restart the client - this should populate the list. This should be a perm fix for the not opening issue, I hope this helps someone. xo, milky.

CC suddenly no longer showing up in my game??? (TS4) Please help??

Idk why but for some reason all of a sudden NO custom content is showing up available in my game??? Everything was fine it seemed until the only thing I did "different" or "new" was I created a new sim/household in a new save to try and start a new build for a new Equestrian Stable I wanted to try and create and in the new save NONE of my CC is showing up and then when I went back to my original save/main sims household NO cc shows up there either in build/buy mode (HOWEVER-all the CC I've previously placed -IS- STILL in my game like normal...) Can ANYONE help me figure this out, please??? ;-;

Doing the 50/50 method on 23.4k build cc for hours later I found out it was "MDN Hickeringil hot peppers.package" that was keeping me from searching in build mode :-;

idk what’s going on w my game but a lot of my sims have been having these weird glowing patches on them in cas 😔 it’s not like one piece of cc either bc it happens even with some bg/pack stuff

it does seem like it’s mostly with larger sims/sims w titties but it also happens at the crotch area on some of my feminine frame sims too 🤷🏽‍♀️ it’s probably something to do w the cas lighting from my bg ?? idk i don’t have enough brain capacity to figure it out and it’s not that bad and seems to mostly go away in-game it’s just odd bc it just started like last week/week before last? i think i noticed it first when i was making violet but idk. you can kind of see it in her daily but i don’t have the screenshots on my phone rn

Soo if anyone could help me out with a little issue I'm having... the right ear of the rig is refusing to save the rotation/location as far as I can see. Keeps happening and would be amazing to know how to fix it 😅

When I reload the poses in blender it's all fine, definitely am selecting the whole rig buut when I put it through S4S and test it in game, the right ear is in a default position.

Trying to troubleshoot my game but as far as it's concerned, nothing is wrong. It's hanging on load or save but not recording that as an error. My last lastexception is from 2 days ago and I've already addressed what seemed to be the problem at the time but the hanging persists. I took out my saves thinking it could have been that, but inconclusive, and the error files from before weren't very informative either. Mods are all as up to date as they can be (as far as I can tell), I've cleared caches, repaired the game, and I'm trying to do some educated folder removals before spending hours doing 50/50s.

I'm happy I was able to get some time in CAS at least, and I saved my guys to the gallery just in case.

Hi! There shouldn't be any reason for a slower download, but there could always be some issues with the server or in internet connection. I hope you managed to download it though! I tested the link and it was working fine atm :)

ive been having some problems with one of your hats for infants. one of them glitches when i use it with cc hair and i don’t know why. it’s just this one hat thats backwards and the glitch appears. i use mccc, ui cheats and more columns cas as my mods and as for the cc hair for infants its mostly ravensim. i dont know if you need more details but i dont use cc for the infants clothing nor skin details and stuff like that.

does this accessory have something that maybe makes this occur or is it raven’s hair that is the problem? because the other hats are fine.

Hi!. For me, The Naughtical Necessary has no interactions. I've redownloaded it twice. I have the file uploaded in February. I've tested with just that. Deleted it and replaced it. Tried a new save with new sims. But nothing happens when I click it.

Thanks for letting me know there's an issue! As a quick fix, download The Captain's Commode and have both in your Mods folder. That should make it work. I seem to have inadvertently linked the tunings somehow. I will figure out how to unlink them so they stand independently but I'm on vacation at the moment, so hopefully this enables you to use it in the meantime. If it doesn't, let me know.
