currently watching: Also trying to cut back, but I started re-watching some of 'Endeavour' which is WONDERFUL, particularly the episode "Fugue". Shaun Evans and Roger Allam shine so brightly together. Watch Inspector Thursday take Morse home and feed him, good for the soul.

Yeah, I'm totally down to share fic recs.

All the Roofs of Uncertainty by Kieron_ODuibhir 70k, complete. This is the probably the number 1 fic I'd recommend if you're looking for Jason fic that really wrestles with all the parts of his post-crisis appearances. Dick gets injured and Bruce and Jason spend a lot of time talking by his bedside. Set at some hypothetical point where the universe didn't reboot in flashpoint.

won't ask you to survive me by ceramicheart 750, complete. Short and sweet (well not exactly sweet), but a moment between Jason and Talia prior to the Under the Red Hood Arc.

Missing Hood by Who_First 12k, complete. Fic where Tim shows up during the events of Under the Red Hood, specifically the movie version. It’s been a while since I’ve read this one, but from what I remember, it should fit what you’re looking for.

snippet: Cass and Jason, guns and targets by @silverwhittlingknife Complete. Gotta give a shout out to this excellent little scene/fight between Jason and Cass.

The Kindly Ones by Havendance 2.5k, complete. Full disclosure, this one’s one of mine, but you came to me, so. After the events of Under the Red Hood, Jason encounters the furies.

See You At Your Worst by wildsofmarch 15.5k, complete. Finally, this one might not be exactly what you’re looking for, but I like so, I’m tossing it in anyway. Dick Grayson in his mob era interacts with Jason in his Red Era prior to Under the Red Hood.

13. talk about a writing experience that has pleasantly surprised you.

you know, i hadn't ever really done exchanges until late last year? i tended to think if it wasn't a story i personally thought of or wanted to tell, or something for a close friend, i wouldn't have fun writing it. but once i got started on them i felt like going buckwild tbh. they're great and overall it's been a great experience to try them out.

16. where is your favorite place to write?

myyyyy couch. it's comfy and close to the kitchen for snacks and refreshments. if i need to Sit Up proper, my little circle nest chair and footrest are a very close second.

27. do you share rough drafts or do you wait until it’s all polished? who do you share them with?

it depends! if i think the fic will never actually get finished or polished, yes. but i actually got into the habit of doing this way too often at one point, and it made it harder to motivate myself to finish projects at all? so i try not to anymore. if i do it's to a friend for a beta or to do a vibe check and tell me whether it's worth completing.

45. name three of your favorite fanfic writers.

well it's lofi but you're lofi so i'll pick some new guys to zag on you. ceramicheart only has a couple fics, but all of them kill me. figofswords has some incredible stuff that i've thoroughly enjoyed. and applepielifestyle, i think, who wrote a lot of itch2? but all of those fics have been removed as far as i can tell, which is unfortunate. they were great.

90. do you notice your own voice in your writing style?

yes and it drives me kind of nuts a lot of the time lol. sometimes i want to lean into it because i think my very specific way of writing lends itself to the particular story, but often i feel it just gets in the way of writing something that resonates in the way fic usually aims to.

91. how has your writing style changed over the years?

not as much as i'd expected! i have gone back and reread some older things recently, and it still scans as me, which is funny to me because it sure has been several years and i have changed a lot as a person. but like, the words are still mine! again, sometimes i lean in more than i used to and really go ham, but it's not altogether too different.

Oceanside tones are definitely the ones I'm most comfortable working with. I've been trying to put together some work with my ceramic beads in red glaze that I made recently and my brain truly wobbles throughout the process. Give me blues, turquoise, greens, jades and a splash of pink perhaps or yellow and I can just flow. Here's a new listing using the ceramic pottery beads I made with beautiful green, blue, brown and yellow glazes. I love the feather/heart and daisy design of this one from the vintage lucite pendant I found and created a mold of. I've also created a stack to go with the pendant above with a double terminated raw smoky quartz point, two raw aquamarine slices and an organic designed pottery bead with sweet circle imprinted sides. The necklace also contains reclaimed goodies with an Indian silver chain section with tiny heart motifs and a mother of pearl chain I repurposed. More new listings coming up.
