Crow X Reader

You climb up to the ledge that Crow is sitting on; he has his right leg propped up and is resting his arm on his knee.

"Hey, Guardian." Crow seems surprised to see you. "I'm surprised you're not out there fighting the good fight."

You smile and sit next to him.

"The view... it's beautiful." Crow stares out at all the lights from the city below.

You nod and sigh gently. You turn to Crow and hand him a small package.

"For me?" He seems confused yet delighted.

The package contains Bittersweet Biscotti cookies from the yearly Dawning celebration.

"Thank you." He chuckles, amused. "These are my favorite."

He stares at the package for a moment, then looks at you.

"You didn't have to, you know?" he says softly. "I know I... haven't been the best guardian." He stares out towards the city lights once again.

You shake your head and gently put a hand on his shoulder.

He glances at your hand and then at you.

"You may not say much, but you sure can put me at ease." He smiles a little.

You both stare out at the city lights for a while longer.

Kaz hair headcanons (left to right)

Age 9 (arrival to Ketterdam) - hair cut by da, grown out since his death

Age 12 (pre-Dregs) - hasn't been cut since 9 (except trimming his bangs every once in a while to keep it out of his eyes), mainly focused on survival

Age 13 (Dregs grunt) - greater access to hair care tools, starts cutting his own hair after understanding his touch aversion, less about style and more about learning to cut hair (bangs too short due to novice skills)

Age 14 (post-bank heist) - better at cutting hair, gets his classic undercut, more about style to imitate the merchant class and look overqualified to be a Dregs lieutenant

Age 17 (present) - even better at cutting hair but still clumsy with a razor and getting the back pieces even, a bit messier due to his confidence in his position in the Dregs

For anyone wanting a breakdown of Inej's knives and where she keeps them:

Sankt Petyr: kept in a quick release sheath on her right forearm. Named after patron saint of archers, who was renowned for his bravery. Petyr was Inej's first knife and a gift from Kaz.

Sankta Alina: kept in a quick release sheath on her left forearm. Named after Sun Summoner Alina Starkov, patron saint of orphans and undiscovered gifts. Described as a "slender, bone-handled blade." Probably also given to her by Kaz.

Sankta Lizabeta: kept at her waist on her belt. Named after Sankta Lizabeta of the Roses, the patron saint of gardeners. Described as a "blade etched in a pattern of roses."

Sankta Marya: kept in a holster strapped to her thigh. Named after Sankta Marya of the Rock, the patron saint of those far from home.

Sankta Anastasia: kept in a holster strapped to her thigh. Named after the patron saint of the sick.

Sankt Vladimir: kept hidden in her boot. Named after Sankt Vladimir the Foolish, patron saint of the drowned and unlikely achievements.

She also wears knee pads that have "tiny steel blades" hidden in each of them, activated by a trigger on her ankles.
