Hello may i ask you if you could possibly provide a list of books and or/links that i could read about the nine hells? 😭 i'm so intrigued but so lost idk where to start and where to go lol. Love your blog btw!

Hmmm! It depends on what you’re looking for! And I will tell you the Hells has been retconned to (heh) Hell and back so feel to take what lore you like and ignore other bits, DnD is supposed to be fun. The Nine Hells is my current hyper fixation though so I stay reading about it lol. I get a lot of my stuff from everywhere but I can definitely provide some links!:

So books!

Descent into Avernus: This is a great world building book if you’re looking to learn more about Avernus or Zariel, I have this book so I can vouch that it’s great. Even not just for world building, the campaign itself is super cool and gives you the option to be EVIL which is so lacking in a lot of RPGs these days.

Chains of Asmodeus: is a great reference for like the entirety of the Hells I haven’t dug through it completely but it’s good. Don’t agree with everything but! Take and leave right lol…Here’s a little link to it free online and a bunch of other DnD assets for freeeee :3

The Godborn: I’m holding off on ordering this to have in my own collection bc the Twilight Wars comes first but my friend let me go through theres and for characterization of Mephistopheles this book it’s great. This is a novel different than the two books above which are more DnD adventures just so you know.

Twilight War Series: These I haven’t read but follows Magadon Kest who is Raphael’s brother, I ordered Shadowbred since I’m about to finish Homeland and I’ll let you guys know if it’s any good! But I’m very excited about starting this series. These are novels.

Brimstone Angels: I have mixed feelings about these but I have used sections of it for reference, good stuff for kinda of conceptualizing cambion behavior. It’s a bit…idk. It’s not always to my tastes but it is a good book to paw through if you’re looking for cambion stuff specifically. These are novels.

Idk if linking these will work but these are scans from a dungeon master issue a friend sent me about Archdevil Glasya’s killing of her mother, service to Mammon and rise to power….lots of great details about Asmodeus, Bensozia and Glasya’s family dynamic too.

Hells layers details! Great stuff and great art, of course I’ve set it to Cania bc duh but there’s a lot of stuff there.

It’s lacking its barebones but it’ll give you your base lore on characters, can’t knock it bc we need it. And it does have a lot of stuff.

For Meph specifically ^ DMs talking shop about Meph’s characterization, it’s funny and I agree with a lot of their interpretations. This is a sillier one though.

Some Baalphegor lore bc I’m miss Baalphegor’s number one fan!!!!! Not enough about her…my missing babyGIRL!!!!

Video Games:

Neverwinter Nights: Hordes of the Underdark: Some of the stuff in this is as crazy to me as Raphy ruling over all the Hells but I do like Mephistopheles’s characterization in this sooooo!!!! I watched a playthrough and if you want Meph mannerisms for writing and stuff I think this game is clutch. His voice in it is…hot. 🤭

I hope some of these point you in lore directions you like and gives you some interesting threads to follow! The Hells are vast and I’m still learning a lot. I love it though. Yay Hells :D

Tav, when Raphael arrives in Nessus only to find that the entire squad has one-shotted Asmodeus:

DND! In honour of our cleric's lying sister who is alive and perfectly physically well, we're about to bamboozle the king of hell!

I opened my character sheet and saw in capital letters "REMEMBER DO HEROES' FEAST" so thank you, last week's me, for doing that.

So we begin in our manor! Our safe safe manor! And our druid poked her head out and saw a fucking pit fiend waiting outside, staring at the door.

Right into it?

We are surrounded. And they're supposed to 'escort' us to Asmodeus. But we still need to go to the library first so we can do some bamboozling.

2 pit fiends, 2 giant devils, and 2 fucking adult red dragons. My rogue is now trying to communicate with Asmodeus. He's agreed to let these guys be our 'escorts' rather than force us straight to his house. But he is still somehow tracking us.

Cleric: Peeping! Toms! You know who doesn't watch me shit? Mystra!

Pit fiend: Are you sure?

Cleric: ... One sec! *goes in the mansion to commune* Mystra this is the most important question ever, have you ever watched me take a shit?

Mystra: ...... No.

Cleric: Why was there a pause there?

Mystra: I could.

Sooo basically we're thinking our magic abilities and tools are getting noticed when we use them. Which means. My detection and telepathic spells. So sad.

We're recalling to the boat on level 8 after telling the entourage we're taking another nap. Hopefully they'll wait another 16 hours until the door fades, and we're gonna go back down and sneak off to that library. I think the plan was to turn us into fart clouds?!

We are at the end of hell! The river is dropping off into a red void but we can fly still. Shall we go into the void? YES! There is a floating land mass in the void, now this looks like a secret library!

I'm reading through the Chains of Asmodeus source book and I'm a little confused about the part where you get to save your own soul by retrieving a phylactery containing it.

Does this mean you're undead? How is your PC's body moving without a soul tethered to it???

Raphael having the time of his life on a Mediterranean holiday. All of this was prompted by ONE quote from the game where Raphael says "adieu" to the player even though French/France does not exist in Faerun. So the only logical explanation is our little princeling would use Dimension Doors to go across universes of course! You can get some of these as prints here!

So I'm using Exandria as a campaign setting. And my players don't know shit about any of the gods. So I made a fake "alter to all the gods" where asmodeus tricks people (my players) into following him because they think they're following a prime deity.

All that to say I made the false symbols and they won't appreciate the work I put into it so I'm posting them here

In honour of our cleric player's dying sister, who is very religious, let's dive into hell!

We're about to follow the river to find that item to prevent Asmodeus from detecting us in his realm! And we're encountering a flock of imps right away. Yay. What do they want?

From imp 1: A... Cookie? From Fierna to our druid? Oh. It's a communication thing????

From imp 2: From Mephistopheles (the lord of the level we're on right now), a discounted rate to the druid for punishment therapy???? For an enemy being punished in the hells? Titivilus? OH FUCK IT'S HER ENEMY THAT SHE'S HERE BECAUSE OF. Apparently 100 gold will get him bound by her side and unable to do fuck all without her permission or something?

From imp 3: Levistus wants to send me a message directly through the imp touching my face? Thinkin' on it.

From imp 4: FROM ZARIEL???????? For our cleric? Also a communication? Why are we all getting communications. Also, Zariel isn't his sugar mommy?

Alright. I'm letting the imp touch my face.

I'm supposed to find and help a prisoner. Who will be in a group of prisoners. No other descriptions. Levistus, your description skills are lacking.

Now for imp 2.... We have no idea why this devil lord would offer this???? I kind of want to reach out to him and ask.

Cleric is being asked by Zariel to smuggle in her weapons into a meeting in Nessus in 9 days.

Rogue: Hey, we're good with smuggling weapons!

Druid: What? We haven't done it before?

Rogue: I meant morally.

Cleric to Zariel: Are you okay with me putting it in a pocket dimension?

Rogue: Is she okay with it being put up the ass?

The druid is eating the cookie! Sweet and cinnamon-y. Like a sweet snickerdoodle. Yum. I want a cookie now.

She's gotten thrown into a vision of walking through a nicer version of Diss with Fierna, who is offering her confidence by magic to hopefully help give her a better chance of being made the devil lord of Diss.

HOLY FUCK HER CHARISMA SCORE WENT TO 20. DAMNNN. And her horn nubs are gone, and her claws are more manicured. Nice.

It's the morning after the spectacular Tom (b) Stone fuck-up. We meet the boys, tired and stressed, at the entrance of Asmodeus's mansion with one goal in mind—to ask for help in setting up the meeting with Belphegor. Except . . . their last meeting didn't turn out so good, did it? And on top of that, Stolas wasn’t exactly looking forward to admitting just how bad things are in front of the powerful Sin . . .

I bought this chain ready for my WHB Asmodeus plush. His body and face embroidery are done I just need to pattern his hair and 'clothing' out. I will have an option for plush chain but for my own personal one I want real chains ^^

Sorry no WIP of Asmo's head as I'm deciding if I need to re-do the face embroidery first. If I don't re-do it I'll have 4 coming 2 WHB embroidery design and 2 LU embroidery design. I messed up with I first did the file ^^;
