I already technically posted this in a rb, but I feel like it needs its own post

Chaka is 23, Devo is 26

let's just pretend that Devo didn't die during his fight and met Chaka after the events of sdc (I hc that all the agents of DIO live in DIO's mansion after the events of sdc)

Chaka was accepted into that mansion because he did (while under the effects of Anubis) serve DIO, and because the agents of DIO are complete monsters (except J. Geil but he's still dead so we're good) and let him in because he had nowhere else to go

ANYWAY BACK ON THE TOPIC OF DEVOCHAKA

they met because DIO's mansion didn't have enough rooms for everyone to have their own, so Devo and Chaka have to share

I drew their first interaction and it'll be at the end of the post

One thing led to another and they started dating

Devo is surprisingly good at comforting Chaka whenever he's upset

Devo's just a sweet guy when in a relationship in general

Devo is pansexual, Chaka is gay

Devo has a BEAUTIFUL singing voice and Chaka loves to hear him sing while they cuddle

They switch between who's little spoon and who's big spoon

It’s a shame Chaka‘s basically just used as a setup for the main event of the Anubis arc (being Polnareff vs Jotaro) and is also just a body being puppeted around by Anubis, because goddamn does he have a cool design

I think his fight would’ve been a lot cooler if he was like a genuinely strong and sapient swordsman who’s been driven mad with power by Anubis. Once the fight’s done, Polnareff could pick up the sword in like a “Well, you were an enemy, but I respect you so i’ll carry on your legacy. Also this is a sweet sword.” Only to get corrupted himself and fight Jotaro. Khan is unnecessary.

A version of Tenshi Hinanawi themed after Chaka as he appeared in Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Heritage for the Future.

The only moves directly taken are the super attacks, but her version of Madness Slash does more damage based on meter.

She has the most screen shake I've seen on a character.

Man, Chaka's got a tough Story mode: he's gotta beat all the Jo gang, then he's gotta beat Dio's heavy hitters, too! Jeepers! Although I had the most trouble early on, vs Kakyoin--gotta be patient vs that guy's Stand, and I'm really bad at being patient. : P

i noticed right away that chaka has the same unmistakable voice actor as ghirahim from loz, but didn't realize until now that it's an interesting choice considering both characters have to do with possessed swords and my brain explodddded lol

Hi hi, do you have any general hcs for Sale and Chaka? Not necessarily romantic but like their past, quirks, habits, hobbies, what they're up to after the end of their respective series, etc. Love your work you badass person you 😤

i can try to think of a few, though i don't really know much about Chaka.

Sale

-Even though I don't typically like family headcanons based on appearance alone (anime tends to be rather same-facey), I do like the idea of Sale being related to Squalo. I think they're cousins, and Squalo initially got Sale involved in passione, though Sale is unaware his actual position and thinks he just works for a higher raking capo.

-While he does smoke pot occasionally, I think his choice of drug is actually whippits. Makes fun of Zucchero for drinking lean but has done it in the past.

-In the sense of stands having physiological significance and symbolism to their user, Sale’s Kraftwerk is representive of his ambition to rise above his current, steady but unfulfilling lifestyle. Kraftwerks ability on paper seems to be almost useless compared to “grander” stands like golden experience, or lacks a clear function like moody blues or Rolling Stones. A lot of creativity is required make proper use of it, which sale demonstrates, just as a lot of creativity is needed to rise above social and economic classes in life, since more often than not hard work or talent alone is not enough. Sale is a person that feels stuck, and knowing the feeling myself, it’s very easy to turn negative emotions into spiteful ones.

-I think he’s middle/lower class and bored, but unlike zucchero who joined for excitement and money, Sale craves the feeling of both importances and respect. I think he takes himself and his minor job in passione too seriously.

Chaka

-imma be honest I Do Not Think Of Him all that often.

-I do think he had the potential to be a stand user on his own if he had been hit by the arrow. If the whole “stand users are attracted to each other” thing is to be true, then he was always more likely to run into Anubis.

-On a similar note, I did always wonder if Anubis was made of the same material as the arrow head. Supposedly he works very simailr to cheap trick, another possessive stand, and it may be that he possesses people by turning them into stand users and taking the place of their stand. Just a thought.

-He seems like he may have been sheltered as a kid and then left with his father when he was older and thus didn’t grow up and become accustomed and hardened to his behavior.

-I honestly thought polnareff killed him during that fight but the wiki says he was merely immobilized, so going with that. He has no memory of what happened while he was possessed by anubis and the injury left him permanently disabled and unable to work. He receives disability payments, but unknown to him, it is on behalf of the speedwagon foundation.
