PLOT DROP 32: DIFFUSION
When The Prosperity enters the area around Kor'sel'Koo where communications transmissions are most accessible, Muffy and Hero find themselves met with a wave of messages to sift through and sort.
To Skylar and Ali from Karmel: Happy belated anniversary in Earth years. Enjoy a round of drinks at Yggld Drinks on me. [Enclosed is a gift certificate for a round of ten shots from the Water Bar and Alcohol Bar chain Yggld Bars, which is ubiquitous in every major settlement on Kor'Sel'Koo.]
To Beck from "K": If you've made it safely and find yourself with a spot of free time, I'd love if you visited.
To Ali from Zuytri: Hi, Friend! Here's the contact information for that person we were talking about that I think you might want to meet. Medri in room 806 Jallik in the Ulsgian Moon Retirement Community.
To Laurie from Viola Dessamer of Revvly Capsule Hotels: Thank you for signing up for the Revvly Capsule Hotels communications list. If you are in need of a safe space, we are always here for you. Read between the lines, and always feel free to reach out if you need a place to stay or cruelty-free, sustainably sourced, and practical meals.
To Theo from someone in the music business in Different City [the equivalent of about $200 in gixys are included]: Hello, Theo. Enclosed are some royalties from the sales of your music. It isn't that many gixys, but I'm pleased to let you know that some of your songs have been gaining a few fans. We anticipate being able to send you some more in six months.
To HJ from Junyi: Hey, bae!! It's really starting to be a long time since we've seen each other but I don't think I'll ever miss you any less. Work is going so good that I think I might be getting quasi-semi-kind of famous. I got some AH MAY ZING new tsum tsums and I stacked all of the ones I could find into a giant pyramid. Sometimes I think 'hey, Junyi, maybe you have a problem with collecting' but then I make a giant pyramid and everything is okay. I'm sending you a collection of my favorite memes that I've found over the last week and I hope that you cherish at least one of them because they made me smile and think of how nice it would be to look at memes with you. Did you know that "meme" rhymes with "steam"? I didn't know that until yesterday. Anyway anyway anyway I love you soooo much and you're sooooo pretty and sooooo good at communicating, HJ. I think about how happy I was to get to meet you all the time and how lucky I am to get to continue to talk to you.
To Robin from Jayvon: Robin, hello! Just wanted to let you know that I started a new job as a close combat officer on a brand new pirate crew, The Dreamhouse. I love it, and I'm glad that I have someone to tell the good news. If our crews are ever in the same area (I'm on Marloken right now), we should meet up and exchange stories.
To Marshall from her Dads: Marshall! We heard you would be going to Kor'Sel'Koo, so we are sending some of our favorite pictures of you and the family when you were younger and we lived there. Also, enclosed are up-to-date addresses and contact information for your cousins and other family. If you have the time, I'm sure they would love to meet up. All of us send our love!
To Daphne from Muzzain: Coast is clear still. Looking forward to meeting with you. "If you're out on the road Feelin' lonely and so cold All you have to do is call my name". These are poignant lyrics from the Gilmore Girls theme song. My name is Muzzain. Until we meet.
To Samira from Makhaira: How is your life going? We exchanged contact information a while back, but I never wrote. I don't know how much you want to hear this, but I've picked up a new hobby: pickleball. It's the one thing I'm a little better at than most of my family, but they haven't given up on playing. We installed our own court, which sounds completely rich erkuss girl of me, but I'm glad for it. What's been keeping you busy?
To Ian from Marlene: It was very nice to see you, Ian. I'm glad that you seem happy with your new crew, and I hope we can meet up again sometime. I don't like to mean ill will of others, but if I had to pick a different ship to crew on than my own, it would be Prosperity. Safe travels.
To Beck from Julia: Hey, Wanker. I know your birthday's not for a few weeks, but apparently the Three Stooges from the galx got their act together and won't leave us the hell alone. The twins wanted to make sure you got their birthday video messages. While they're starting to be rebellious little buggers (I know I'm getting old when I shake my head and sigh saying teenagers) they do love and miss you. They made me say something nice because I called you wanker but I think you're all right.
To Marshall from Oplo: You fixed our air conditioning, correct? Can you send tips?
To Daniel from Seetha: Hi, Daniel! I've missed talking with you so much, I've come to realize. I wanted to tell SOMEONE that isn't being a big meanie (Leo, he's being a big meanie) that I have a boyfriend now! :) His name is Frodo and he's so darling. I think you'd get along famously if you met. My captain is getting sentimental and sending messages to your ship, so I thought I'd send them too.
To Ryder from Seetha: I heard how Leo treated you from him and I am APPALLED. I know it was a while ago, but he's been so bratty and callous to you and also sweet Daniel and Ian. It sounds like he's cleared the air before, but it still doesn't sound right to me. Let me know if you need me to get a real apology out of that meanie on your terms. I know he'll actually mean it because he's apparently stopping his weird bedroom behavior and slowly but surely coming to terms with that. My goodness. You don't deserve that weird behavior.
To Skylar from Kenna: [It's just a picture of French fries with a digital smiley face drawn over]
--
By the time the crew touches down on Kor'Sel'Koo on 3/22/24, all of the messages have been sorted and provided and we pick up a new crew member: Mari, a quirky mate who is 4'6" of apparently pure enthusiasm.
The crew doesn't immediately settle down, as there are messages to read and Gilmore Gilrs to figure out.
--
Muzzain, the far'ly'dae one who ordered all of that Gilmore Girls merchandise, is staying temporarily in Wuunzek, a smallish city about an hour (by underground tunnel train) from Twarvu.
Wuunzek includes a variety of amenities, including Yggld Bars, the Inspired By Earth Waterpark (it's got a lazy river, a waterslide, and a wave pool), an enormous vitamin store aimed at Ly'Daesun called Yonrur, and more.
Wuunzek Population: 89% Far’Ly’Dae, 9% Erkuss, 1% Vanneer, 1% Carrek.
The process of getting the Gilmore Girls merchandise to the right place now will be... annoying because most of it actually needs to go to Twarvu. While it would normally take an hour and a half, the crew will probably take a full 24 hours to get their surreptiously.

Marshall looked down at her new comm, feeling the largest shock run through her as she read the message over and over again.  This was too crazy, right?  There’s no way that was the same Beck Derringer, in this whole planet, in this whole galaxy.  What were the chances?  But one look at her profile picture confirmed Marshall’s suspicions.
So much for that fresh start.

PLOT DROP 30: EXPEDIENCY
It has become apparent that the GEE has made a massive difference for the Prosperity's travel experience, and it's only a matter of time before other pirate ships get a hold of this thing. Part of the nonmonetary terms of the deal with Derros is that Daphne agreed to be a reference to other ships looking to purchase this thing. She has and will continue to inquire with the engineering, navigation, and piloting crews about technical specs and ship experience to be able to continue to give these good references for Derros.
A trip from Kraysha or Kor'Sel'Koo to Earth used to be considered one of the quickest journeys- a week. Arjbo was not anywhere close to Earth, and the journey ended up being just five days including buffer time to navigate around what looked like Ayshena's ship.
The Communications department is busy, as they manage to get a message from the KBW (Kuiper Belt Waystation). Zuytri's message is interesting: Prosperity! If the rumors are true, I heard that you were in the area and possibly going to Kor'Sel'Koo afterward. If you have time, would you be able to stop by my precious KBW for a little longer than you were planning? There's something that I've been wanting to discuss with Ali and his boo. Nothing awful, I swear, but it would mean a lot if you have some time to spare. Qraxaldrov is docked here too, by the by, so we can make it a little gathering for everyone else. Hoping to see you soon! Kisses -- Z
It really is great timing to have ship that can get places so much faster than it used to, isn't it?
(And yes, every time the GEE launches, the nearest pairing of damartrekt/djayyar will experience the same symptoms)
Here is the schedule:
February 14: Depart from Arjbo
February 19: Arrive on Earth (Connecticut); Marshall and HJ go to visit HJ's parents while the others prep for the heist.
February 20: "Heist" day - acquire those Gilmore Girls box sets- mostly by legal means
February 21: "Heist" day 2 - acquire those Gilmore Girls box sets- we will go through dumpsters if we have to
February 22: "Heist" day- The Quartermaster will lead the charge to buy up a ton of DVDs so the crew can make some extra DVD-only sets (we won't lie and say they are fake). "Free" afternoon the crew starts to burn the DVDs - We will take people anywhere else they seem to need or want to go (if Marshall and HJ are ready at this point, they can be picked up too). Traveling in groups recommended, please.
February 23: Free morning for Beck and the co-pilot while everyone enjoys their time wherever they are. Afternoon, the piloting crew picks everyone up.
February 24: Travel to KBW - arrive early in the afternoon.
February 24 - March 2: KBW
March 3: Travel to Kor'Sel'Koo
March 4: Arrive on Kor'Sel'Koo
Players can start plotting or playing out threads as early as February 24 provided nothing takes place on the KBW.

PLOT DROP 26: HOTEL STURNIFORNIA
On the equivalent of December 16, Oplo politely asks (by way of handing Robin a fat stack of Disney Dollars) the crew of Prosperity to stay somewhere else for the next two weeks. Oplo doesn't know where; all of the local inns and bed and breakfasts are booked up because of why Oplo asked the crew to stay somewhere else: the Theme Park Club of Tarrk will be having a meeting, and needs the beds. They also need the area where the ship is parked for their own ships.
Of course... the Prosperity is welcome to visit for part of the events (like giving some of the visitors their wares from on board the ship). Qjun snottily states that it might not be their kind of thing. (Who knows if it even is?)
Junyi takes pity on the crew (possibly because she wants to have HJ staying somewhat nearby), and manages to help negotiate a low-cost rate at a beautiful waterfront hotel about an hour's bus ride away in the canal city of Dvun. The hotel is old, storied, and features a rooftop dock that the ship can be parked on.
Unfortunately, while the crew (with Junyi tagging along) checks in, they find a most unwelcome fellow hotel guest... Makhaira Espionage. Makhaira looks just as surprised to see them, and proceeds to ignore them for a while. Daphne faintly asks if they can check in somewhere else, but unfortunately... no refunds for loathing the other guests.
The Prosperity also discovers that Steel Spider is also staying in the same hotel after Beck saw Barbra entering a restroom. This is a somewhat more welcome surprise than Makhaira, as some of the crew have made friends (or at least a pleasant acquaintance); with Fleetwood.
For the next two weeks, Prosperity will use this hotel as a base of operations as it continues to complete delivery missions around Tarrk from the cargo hold. Threads with Makhaira, Barbra, Junyi, and/or Fleetwood will be available by request in the crab knife server.

PLOT DROP 25: PEAK ENTERTAINMENT
After an enjoyable excursion on Pryft, Prosperity docks on the planet Sturn outside of the town of Ustust. The landing pad is a half mile from an extremely large dormant volcano- almost 3/4 of a mile high! This volcano is Ustust. Almost as soon as Kjeuk steps foot on the planet, he starts talking much more than he has the entire journey. He explains that the "locals" say that the volcano hasn't erupted in thousands of years and it is perfectly safe- and that's where the group will be going. A lengthy afternoon is spent unloading a large portion of the cargo bay's contents into a rented amphibious vehicle- think a longer and taller DUKW with a one way viewing window enclosing the top. The pilot (Beck) and new navigator (Stella) are asked to take on driving/navigation duties. In the cozy bench seats back of the vehicle, Kjeuk chatters excitedly to whoever on the rest of the crew will listen about volcano facts the whole way to the clubhouse the Sturn branch of the Tarrk Theme Park Club.
Kjeuk's native planet is indeed Sturn, but Kjeuk only moved out to Ustust eight years ago when the area started to become more attractive. Sturn is a large planet- one and a half times the size of Earth with a proportionately greater population. Overall, Sturn is also a rather warm planet with a variety of climates. Ustust is surrounded by lush rainforests. While the volcano itself is not particularly green, the people that have lived on it over the course of many years have terraced the rich soil to provide them with what they need. Objectively, this is a beautiful area, and the drive through the rainforest border up the mountain is enjoyable if you like that sort of thing. The truck took a very winding path- avoiding the more convenient elevator/lift and slide systems that most of the "locals" (as Kjeuk calls them without malice but somewhat carelessly) use.
Three very excited and socially awkward carreki greet the crew upon arrival at the clubhouse... which is halfway up the mountain. The clubhouse and some other local businesses on this part of the volcano seem to be newer and more polished than on much of the rest of the mountain.
The three new carreki (Junyi, club president Oplo, and club secretary Qjun) gravitate immediately to the hybrids on the crew, and explain that they have never met any before. They become distracted from hybrids after Kjeuk reminds them how they managed to get so many great things from the club's wishlist! The carreki that it would be great to see some of those things. Also Junyi says offhandedly that the air conditioning is broken. She seems unbothered and unconcerned about how this will affect the guests' experience.
Anyway, the wishlist items that were explicitly for Junyi, Oplo, and Qjun are located and distributed. Qjun heard about "tips" when researching certain Earth customs, and tips the crewmembers twice as much as what he thinks the goods are worth because he is so happy to have real Legoland legos.
Oplo, while wearing the large souvenir sunglasses someone purchased at an obscure park, explains to the crew that there are beds for Prosperity to stay in Ustust for the distribution of goods. However, Oplo says, flipping the sunglasses upside down to see if they are more comfortable to wear that way, not everyone wanted to come all the way to the clubhouse to get their goods. Qjun insists that he will make everyone promise to tip well, but Prosperity is going to have to make deliveries directly to the club members on Sturn... and also the rest of the planetary system.
Daphne sighs, and says that this will at least give her, Robin, and Muffy time to interview the two local Communications position candidates before leaving Tarrk.
Kjeuk persuades Junyi to order takeout from the new Sour Jehk-style restaurant that opened up a year ago in the local "cool" part of Ustust, and shows Prosperity the dormitories. The lofted, full-size bunk beds feature bedding that is completely white because that is what research says theme park hotels like to use. There is a large, non-chlorinated pool intended for leisurely soaks (unfortunately for some of the crew, the water is quite warm) and an elegant communal restroom connected to the dorms. There are also some random rooms in the clubhouse that do not have a specific purpose which can be used for meetings or hanging out. The clubhouse is set up for many members to be able to visit comfortably if needed. It would all be quite lovely if the air conditioning wasn't broken. The crew of Prosperity is encouraged to use the facilities, and is welcome to take as long as they need to deliver the goods. Kjeuk does not seem sorry about the delay, but states that this mission means a lot to his club.
For at least the next month, the crew will take missions around Sturn in large or small groups to deliver goods to some potentially obscure places. The group will be fed, and is free to come and go as they please. Oplo pops out of nowhere at some point to explain that the members won't be upset if things take a while or if Prosperity needs to take a detour for a few months for any reason because many of them don't even remember ordering or asking for anything and will only be excited to have new toys delivered.
It will certainly be an interesting excursion in the Tarrk system.

EVENT: RAIDERS OF THE LOST CAVERN
On May 20, the crew of the ship Prosperity would divide itself temporarily into three groups for approximately one week:
The Quest: Karmel Vuker leads Ali, Beck, Skylar, HJ, and Butterfly to explore a cave on an uninhabited island.
Daphne: A solo Daphne visits her parents Svo and Nicolas Rux on their expansive Rungung family estate.
The Stronghold: Robin Astrea is acting leader over the rest of the crew in Rungung’s main port.
Daphne will have limited access to communications during the day, but The Quest and The Stronghold can have unrestricted communications. However, Karmel and Prosperity‘s crew are uncertain about whether the cave has characteristics that will block communications. Communications crew members Muffy and Stella will take rotating shifts to ensure that someone is always available to speak to, but the rest of the crew is welcome to communicate through the ship’s normal comms line. Additionally, the Communications crew members will monitor all types of communications methods that the ship might receive in case of the possible emergency in which Skylar innovates a method.
Notably for The Quest, the archaeological evidence indicates that only a djayyar making the attempt of their own volition will have success entering the cave. There are two djayyar at present on the ship (Ali and Samira), but only Ali will be making this journey.
---
In order to roleplay the consequences of these events, two threads will be opened in the “small threads” Discord server (affectionately nicknamed the “crab knife” server):
Open Comms, available to all characters except Daphne. This channel is for chat messages.
Quest Narrative, open to Karmel, Ali, Beck, Skylar, and HJ. Ship Medic Butterfly will be present, but as the character is an open skeleton character, the admin will narrate what this character does. This is a narrative thread, so roleplaying will take place in third person. At certain moments, the admin may provide narrated insight into what is in the cave.
The two small threads will be semi-synchronous. Idle chatter in the Open Comms thread can occur, but the conversation topics in Open Comms WILL move on if The Quest participants need to use it.
Participation in this event (in the Open Comms and/or Quest Narrative is mandatory for all player characters.
Further information will be disclosed in the Quest Narrative thread to “The Quest” group.
--
Players are encouraged to continue any threads from before this event.

PLOT DROP 19: NEW ARRIVAL
It has been almost exactly a year since the last time that Prosperity was on Kraysha. For the crew that have been with the ship since that time, perhaps this time will be different. Another year older, another year wiser, another year more complicated.
As some examples.... For Theo, who left Kraysha in a state of grief, is this too soon? For Skylar, this may be a more joyous occasion- to spend some time with his husband and his beloved adopted parents together in a place perhaps more familiar than Kor’Sel’Koo. For Laurie, there is always the chance that she encounters her out-of-touch Umbra parents. For Beck, a longtime pirate, this is the first time returning to her home planet not as a member of the crew of her cousin. For Robin and Ryder, there are so many complications with their parents that it is difficult to summarize them all.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:* *:・゚✧*:・゚✧ Some hours after arrival in the city of Rungung, the crew got settled in. Daphne had an announcement to make. After observing the past week’s competition between Skylar and Vajean and much deliberation, Skylar had been selected as the new Chief Engineer, with Laurie definitively promoted fully into the Electro-Technical position.Additionally, Prosperity would finally be gaining a new Surgeon after being without one since November. Samira Kehmet would be joining the ship’s crew shortly.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:* *:・゚✧*:・゚✧
Apart from the most personal of issues, there is always the upcoming “quest” set upon by Karmel. Karmel has chartered a smallish seaship (capable of air and surface water travel) for Beck to fly. Ali has agreed to join this quest, as it seems to require a djayyar. After this journey to a remote island, Karmel has agreed to find her own way back to Kor’Sel’Koo. Those with skills to contribute and an interest in going will be paid handsomely, but the contents of the cave and whether the secrets of immortality are too dangerous a risk. Daphne will not be going, but will permit unpaid leave to those who do (as they will be paid much more by Karmel in this instance).
“The Quest” will tentatively take place beginning May 20.
Confirmed Quest Attendees:
Karmel
Ali
Beck
Skylar
HJ
Butterfly (NPC Medic)
✧・゚: *✧・゚:* *:・゚✧*:・゚✧
Those who do not go on the the quest will be granted a small stipend to cover a few meals out or entertainment at shore. Robin will be left in charge temporarily of this portion of the crew, as there is still ship maintenance, meals, communications with the quest crew, and supply purchasing to arrange. The crew may not be quite as busy, but Daphne has expressed privately to Robin that this is a low-stakes test for him to flex his leadership ability.
But why does this opportunity come up in the first place? Daphne will be taking this time to visit with her parents and ensure that everything was in order with their company... She disclosed the “why” of this information by message to Robin, Beck, Skylar, Ali, Muffy, Arys, and all of the medics with directions to let the rest of the crew know. She didn’t want to make a big announcement about this matter because she already didn’t feel comfortable discussing it in a town hall format. (Daphne neglected to mention to her crewmates that she would be reviewing other topics like the Makhaira matter)
✧・゚: *✧・゚:* *:・゚✧*:・゚✧
Once Samira was at least settled enough to be considered “welcomed” onto the ship, the crew will be (variously) doing some work unloading some of the goods that were acquired from Earth, negotiating, scoping out the job market, and... possibly trying to avoid The Bat Ray and Galx authorities (Ayshena, Havok, Hael, Selleck) whom Greg reported have been spotted in port!

PLOT DROP 15: MY IMMORTAL
“Have you ever desired immortality, Daphne?”
“I’d be lying if I say I hadn’t, but that isn’t something I want now. I’m not sure if I believe in some divine purpose, and I don’t believe the specific lengths of our lifetimes make it better or worse, but I have more to do with my time than try to take efforts to prolong my lifetime, Karmel. Why?”
Karmel might have looked slightly disappointed by that answer. “This is a topic that has possessed me for a long time. My particular family line of Ly’Daesun, we have an unpredictable lifespan. The lower and upper extremes of our species seem about equally as likely, and any time in between is perfectly reasonable as well. I could expire within several years, or I could see sixty or more. I like to make my own odds, and there is only so much that even advanced medicine can do to prolong my life.”
Daphne pursed her lips and pretended to close her office door. She left it a crack open “We have had an affable relationship for quite some time, but I don‘t understand why you are telling me this.”
“I’d like to stay on your ship for a little longer after we return to my home planet, and I am asking this now in case I need to make other arrangements. Much of your crew was formerly resident to Kraysha, yes? I would like for you to take me to Kraysha after Kor’Sel’Koo, and I would like to hire the services of your Earth Expert for four days.”
Daphne furrowed her brow. “My... Earth Expert? Ali is his own person, Karmel. I will give him the leave if he makes the decision himself. Could you tell why would you want his services on Kraysha?”
Tapping her lip, Karmel gave a noncommittal expression. “And... I would also like to have your Pilot.”
“Again, Beck can make the decision for herself, but can I have some details as to what you are doing with my crew?”
Tutting, Karmel waved a hand. “I have great interest in what it takes to prolong my lifespan. Out of your crew, those are the two that I need to accompany me directly on the mission. There are others I might want to bring along. The Communications girl who always seems surprised by things that should not be surprising would be the most useful out of those. But I am only asking for the bare minimum.”
Daphne exhaled slowly. “You can ask Stella along if that would be helpful to you as well. If you are going to delay us for four days and you need the Earth Expert, being down two crew members is about the same as three.”
Karmel leaned forward and ran a thumb along Daphne’s cheek in a dangerous way. “Those you ask will be paid handsomely, of course. And you will be compensated for your time. You know that I am good for my money.“
Daphne clenched her jaw. “I know. Let’s review the plans again for Japan. Let’s not bother with your immortality quest now- Ali was obviously more focused on other things this week, and I don’t want to deal with this for the others.”
Making an agreeable noise, Karmel went back to run-of-the-mill owrk
Daphne (nor Karmel) knew it at the time, but there were two people outside of the door that did manage to overhear the conversation completely unnoticed: Gwen Volnal and Robin Astrea.

Rebecca “Beck” Derringer
Pronouns: She/her
Role: Pilot
Age: 36
Romantic and/or Sexual Preference: Biromantic/Bisexual
Species: Human/Erkuss Hybrid
Home Planet: Kraysha
Faceclaim/Humanoid Appearance: Tatiana Maslany
True Appearance: Like all hybrids, Beck has two different colored eyes - her right eye is gold and her left eye is hazel-green. When disguised on Earth, she puts on a hazel-green contact on her left eye to match her other eye.
Backstory: The Derringers were a close-knit family before they were abducted with the rest of Tarryville in 1981. They needed each other more than ever on a planet that none of them knew. But despite the fear and uneasiness following the abduction, the mother of Rebecca, later known as Beck, ended up falling in love with one of the local Erkuss men a few years after the abduction. A product of their lust-filled affair would simultaneously be a scientific wonder in the form of hybrid twins - Beck, and her older brother by just ten minutes, Jude. Both children were firecrackers in their own right - Beck, while excitable and care-free also had a short temper, while Jude had too much energy in his little body to focus one just one thing. Of course, their father never gave himself the opportunity to see these traits for himself, as he dipped the moment he found out their mother was pregnant. Their fiery connection was put out fairly quickly.
Being the younger cousin of Julia Derringer was a big pain in the ass. While Beck reluctantly loved her cousin on the grounds that they were related, they often butt heads because neither could agree on much of anything, and Julia’s smug attitude and perceived sense of superiority pissed Beck off constantly. It also didn’t help much that as a baby bi, she developed a very intense crush on her best friend (and apparently secret girlfriend) Daphne Rux, but of course Julia had the audacity to hog up all the Erkuss’s time and leave the younger girl fawning from afar. So annoying.
Beck later explored herself in her adolescence, having a few short-lived relationships with both men and women alike. She couldn’t quite develop an emotional attachment to any of them, finding that the sole focus of each relationship was just the physical aspect. The only thing she truly loved, it turned out, was flying. Inspired by the movie Top Gun as a kid, Beck dreamed of being a pilot. The stars were her true calling. After high school, joined the Kraysha starfleet to train as a starfighter. And she was a natural. Easily the top of her class, but her incredible talent quickly went to her head. She developed a huge ego, which matched pretty well with her future callsign - Maverick, named after the protagonist of her favorite movie.
Her arrogant attitude often got her in trouble with her superiors, instructors and squad mates, but her skill usually got her through these hoops. She even managed to get officially licensed as a star pilot, but it all came crumbling down during her first assignment. Her recklessness nearly resulted in the death of her partner. While her partner lived, the accident rendered them completely paralyzed. This was the last straw, and Beck was subsequently dishonorably discharged. Years of blood, sweat, and tears down the drain. The shattering of her dreams by her own hand was unbearable.
A beacon of hope came from the most unexpected of places - her cousin, Julia. As it turned out, she needed a pilot for her new smuggling ship, The Bat Ray. Reluctantly, Beck accepted even though this offer was very clearly made out of pity, and because of her prideful nature she hated that. It was a vastly different environment than the starfleet, yet Beck was pleased that smuggling turned out to have its own thrills that satiated her desires. She was even willing to bite her tongue when being bossed around by her cousin. Things got even better when she reunited with an older and somehow even hotter Daphne Rux later on. Life was looking pretty good again.
That was until the Shrek incident, which served as a catalyst to Beck realizing that maybe blindly following her cousin’s judgment was a bad call. Inspired by Daphne, who tragically left to start her own crew, Beck started openly questioning anything Julia instructed that she didn’t agree with. Suddenly they were children again, butting heads, except it was worse because everything is worse when you’re an adult. She also despised her cousin’s girlfriend Kenna, who she was convinced was a robot in Ly’Daesun form. This hatred culminated in a drunken Beck trying to start a fight with Kenna one night while the crew were having downtime at a bar, and Kenna proceeded to kick her ass into next year. Needless to say, Beck promptly left the crew after this.
She took a chance and contacted her old pal Daphne for the hell of it to see if she happened to have any opening for a pilot on the Prosperity. Miraculously, a spot had just opened up, and she planned to meet the crew on Kor’Sel’Koo before their next job.
Skills:  Beck is a very skilled pilot, and can adapt to the controls of most ships on a whim. A lot of her methods to getting out of sticky situations can be considered a bit unconventional, and downright reckless if the situation is dire, but she has a knack for keeping the ship in one piece despite of it. Besides flying, she is also moderately skilled at firearms and hand-to-hand combat from her days in the starfleet. She possesses mechanical knowledge, which is useful to her if she’s the only person around who can resolve an urgent mechanical issue on a ship. Lastly, she’s skilled at charming her way out of a situation, if she doesn’t let her temper get ahead of herself.
Played by Ash; 27 ; she/her; eastern time
