tried my hand at a Fakemon design

Limpcap - previously hunted for their metal shells, they evolved to appear like human explosive devices to repel fishers. Magnetic plates on their feet allow them to stick to passing ships, allowing them to hitch rides. They are known to overencumber ships if too many attach and sink them.

Minurch - mostly passive, it spends most of its time dormant, floating around lazily or holding onto kelp. When large opjects or vessels make contact with their pegs, it wakes them from their sleep. Although they are not explosive, their temper upon being disturbed is. They are very protective over their territory and infant Limpcaps. Usually their appearance is enough to ward off unwanted visitors. Due to this, other marine pokemon take shelter near them.

This piece proved to be a real hassle, but it came out good. I had CSP crash on me three different times during the process. “The wounded man screamed as I bound the gash in his shoulder torn open by the murderous Tide creature bearing down on us. I'd seen them up close before. Treated these kinds of wounds. I thought this time would be the last. But then, there she was. A titan of a woman, in crimson armor, and hair that seemed to meld into the night sky. In two strides, she was over us, and the paltry barrier of broken concrete that separated us from scything death. We locked eyes briefly- hers were fierce. Burning. Defiant. She raised her weapon, a hulk of black metal that looked more to me like an industrial tool then a weapon. The great insect leapt at her with a piercing shriek, and was answered with a thundering torrent of gunfire. Steaming ichor splashed across my face. More Tide skittered from the dark. Without missing a beat, the woman took fresh aim and let loose with an exultant cry that drowned out their hideous noise. I realized a simple fact. The Tide were not the most dangerous thing here.”

The idea came to me when I was thinking about Sherlock Holmes and then remembered the iconic mystery solving gang hehe

"I should draw Māori Miku!" I said to myself. "Just a fun sketch, it shouldn't take me long" I said to myself. Six hours later I come to with this in front of me and a wrist begging for mercy but holy fuck worth it. I love this trend this was so much fun

DISCLAIMERS AND NOTES ETC.... I'm Pākehā, meaning I am not of Māori descent. I hold so much respect for Māori people, for their values and traditions, and for the fierce pride with which kapa haka is performed. I thought if I was going to design a Māori Miku, it makes sense to dress her in a kapa haka kākahu, as her whole thing is singing and dancing!!! The moko kauae is not based off any real person's. I referenced the temporary moko kauae a lot of kapa haka performers wear!! Was tricky finding out whether or not depicting her with a moko kauae was a good idea, so I went the safe route- showing an aspect of Māori culture without stepping over any boundaries!! Brown eyed Miku is everything to me shout out brown eyed Miku.... I referenced like seven different outfits to put hers together!! I really hope this looks accurate or at least passable. Thanks to adorkastock for the pose ref!!
