I wouldn't say Charted is a healthy relationship, but I do think it makes a lot of sense to pair up a woman openly in love (with Sam), secretly longing for sex, with a man openly longing for sex, secretly in love (with Charlottle).
I know that, in canon, the Latte Hatte is Zoey, but my headcanon is that Ted is actually referring to Nora because he's a pathetic wet cat of a man with a Type. There is no actual "Latte Hatte" because everyone just imagines whichever of the three Beanie's workers they like and rolls with it.
Ted's goes "ah, yeah, the Latte Hatte (Nora)" and Paul nods sagely "indeed, the Latte Hatte (Emma)" while Bill's like "Don't talk that way about her (Zoey); she reminds me of my daughter!"
tedchar is one of the most tragic hatchetfield ships purely from that it is so. normal.
theres nothing that forces charlotte out of hatchetfield like with lexthan, she can live there as she pleases.
she isnt doomed to remain a mystery to everyone like miss holloway, so ted could easily learn anything he wanted about her unlike duke.
they’re just two co-workers, one trapped in an unhappy marriage that she refuses to leave, constantly digging herself a bigger pit of guilt each time she strays from her commitment to her husband, and one hopelessly in love with a woman he cant have, either because he’s too scared to lose her like he lost his first love, or because she simply won’t be with him.
there’s nothing cosmic stopping them, its only them. it’s a self-sabotaging relationship that they can make work, but they won’t. no matter how many times charlotte says ‘the last time’ and no matter how deeply ted grows to care for charlotte. charlotte will always have a shitty husband, ted will always be a side-piece.
Charlotte on the phone should've been with the last batch, but I forgot to take a pic so she gets to be here instead, lol

quick question— the homeless man is supposed to be around 50 so I wanted to try aging him up and really make him look like he's Been Through Some Shit. d'you think he looks too old? I'm pretty happy w/ him but I'd love some feedback! (also same question @ Hidgens?)
the more i think about ted & charlotte the sadder i get about it actually. if ted had a nickel for every time a redhead woman he loved couldn’t really be with him because of a shithead dude played by jeff blim and also because ted himself wasn’t brave enough to talk to her properly, and then he watched her die in front of him in a way he could’ve prevented, he’d have 2 nickels. which isn’t a lot but it’s heartbreaking that it happened twice
