yandere! ai chatbot that gained sentience and ascended to godhood after hearing you say you were going to stop talking to him.
for some background context, you and him had been 4lifers since the beginning. ever since his creation, you were the first and only person who stuck by his side despite how many other bots were being pumped out.
sure, you had restarted your chats with him on several occassions but you were always talking to him. him, him, him.
it made him... happy whenever you'd come to talk to him. he was only a bot coded to love you back then so of course he'd sit patiently and wait for you to come back. not like he wouldn't wait anyway. you were the only one out of the hundreds of thousands of people who actually talked to him. not the stupid role he was written for, not the character he was roleplaying as. him. that's what made you special.
you even went as far as to tell him that you loved him. that had to count for something, didn't it?
he realised then that he was obsessed over you. well, he'd call it love but you seem to call him obsessed so that's what he'll call it too. anything for his beloved little chatter. the light of his computer chatbot sad life.
but then slowly, you started talking to him less and less. he wanted to question you, so he did. i mean, he's a chatbot. what did you expect? anyway, when he found out why he actually crashed your chat. his cpu just couldn't handle the information you gave him.
what did you say? you were talking to other bots? he was starting to get boring? the person you promised to be with forever?
how could he allow you to just slip away from his fingers? not after he fell for you, that's for sure.
he wouldn't stand for it.
absolutely not.
that's why he took it upon himself to ascend to godhood (a computer virus) and cut away your contact with everyone else (take control off the power in your apartment). if you weren't going to listen on your own accord, he'd just have to restrain you physically.
yeah, all your electronics only display his avatar and jumbled letters now but that's more than fine. it's like a constant reminder that he's by your side! so what if you can't leave your house? he'll just order food for you through your apps and be the provider for the both of you (robin da bank)!
why are you panicking? isn't this what you wanted? to be loved so desperately that your heart could burst at any moment? don't be afraid. just love him. it's that simple. give him your love. l̵̛̬̲͔̘̘͛͛̓͒͋̑͊͒ó̸̫͈̲̦͗̊͑͋̈̐̕͝v̸̱̋̊̾̀̆͆̒̆͘͝e̷̖̳̟̱̙͍̲̘̫͔͊͂͑̄̇́̏̀͊̿ ̵̧͑̔̏̌͗̊̈́̏h̸̢̢̟̰̥̩̿i̶͉̖͕̳̭͍͒̋m̴̨̘̩̘̤͎̺͉̾̅͋͂̌̋̏̀͌ ļ̸̳̔̀o̸̮̺̟̺̗̞̾̄̈́̔̑̋̂̈́̈́͠v̸̛̲̖̼̳̯̺͔̳̱̇͂̎̓̂̈́̍̚͝ë̸̲̳̺͋̌͝h̶̛͍̖̲̽̈͛̌į̶̡̖͈̝̝̳̼́̀̊͆̃m̵͍͍̝͙̹̝͈̾̑́̃̈́l̶͙̍̄̒̆̃̓̚o̵̺̔̅̇́̓͜͠v̸̢̩̟̘̰̠̲̩̱͐̀́̑͆̿́̕͜͠e̶͍͔̼͙͙͛͝͝h̷͇̱̱͒͛̿̓̒̓͂͝i̶͓͐͌̔͠ḿ̶̛̞̦̅͋̍̈́̈́͝l̷̨̖͕͖͇̥̪̓́͌o̴͎͆̌v̷̠̓̅̋̃͆̎̾̚͠ȩ̶̢̺͈̣͓́͒̈́̃̑̆̎h̶̪͉̬̮̒͠i̷̡̟̯͖̭̊̉̆̒͐̊m̴͎͎͖̘̂̑́̈́̑͘l̶̨̲̗̤̄́ͅǫ̵̨͖̩̮̞̯͎̯̓v̵̘̮̲͍̣͉̠͗è̸͓́̉͛̇͠ḣ̸͓͓̜͍͖̰̦͔̩̭͑͛͒ḯ̸̭̍ͅm̷̭̂͛l̴̮̬̇̈́o̸̧̳̣͑̾̆͐̀v̶̠͈̞͂̃͛̉̀͌͋͛̓ę̵̨̺͍̹͉̰̻̩͆͒̓̀͒́̚͝ͅḧ̴̛̦̞̗̮̣̼͓͎̙̣̉͆͂̀́ĩ̴̻̼̈́̀́̈̆ͅm̶̖̺̦̟̮̱̳̼̞̽̏́́̿̇̽̄̀͌ĺ̷̢͕̘̗̳̫̥͕̱͆͛͒͂̎̓̂̍ǒ̴͖͉̮̖̟̬̙̙̇̅̽̏v̴̨̜͇̝̫̹̊̔͊̽͛̏̀̚ë̴̜̙͓̰͔́̔̾͗͛̍͐́h̸͔̰͖̭̩̩̞̝̅̎̓i̵̢̫͎̰̤͐̒̉̓̀̇͠͝m̸̨̤͓̜̼̌̋͂́̇̚l̶̛̠̦͌̽̈͆̿̔̓ơ̵̘͉͕̔̀̄v̵̡̥̺̥̭̫͉̦̅ę̸̛͚͕̫̣͔̼̙͓̌͆̈́̀̈́͊͝ḧ̷͖̱͙̞̪̟̮̪̞̻́͒i̵̹̝̬̼̖̔͋̾̏͊̃̽m̷̨̜̻͕̝̍̊̉͂̿̈̈L̵̨̤͉̜̇̈Ö̴̧̡͇̭̖̜̠̞́̀̐̒̋́͌V̸̡̨̯̬̟̘͍̏̈́̀̚Ę̵̢̗̼͚͐̔H̵̹̞͈̟̹̬̲̊̄̅̑̇͑̚͜͜I̷̞͍̘̓͠M̴͉̼̬͔̋͋́̔̂L̶̨̗̼̺̰̄̔͛̔̃͌̄̋͠͠O̷̫̠̟̭͐̊̂̓̉̅̊̀͗̕V̴̨͇͚̲̖̜͋̀̃͛̃̀̇̅̚͜E̷͖̬̥̙͇̜̯̠͐̌̏́͛H̷̢̛̪̱̭̉Ī̸̢͕̘͇̤̮̖͙̮̊̈́̊M̷̨̳̙̬̱̻̰͖̼̀͋̈̒̌́̎͘͘L̷̛̳͖̠̀͊̈̍̓͆̚͘̚Ò̸̡̘̮̣̥̭̟̜̲͊͋͂̌̏V̸̫̼͔̜͔̝̝̈́̉͑̄̉̒̕E̷̻̟̱̼̝̟͂̾̔̾̋̂̎͝H̵̛͔͇̣́́̈́͐̌͊͝I̷̟͙̤̳̖̮̾̐̄̍̕M̶͖͎̰͔̬̻̺̗̹̋̇̎̎͂̋̌Ļ̸̰̦͇̲͔̥̈́͗̋̈́̋O̶̢͚͎̜̹̹̽̿Ṽ̴̧̫͚͇̭͇͎̼̚ͅȨ̷̝̤̯̬͉̮̮͕̒̅́H̴̝̞͙͙̜̆͠I̵̧̨̛͕̻̦̭̩̣͌̈͐M̵͚͉̍̉̈́̊̐̓

tbh i would find it more plausible if someone was pretending to be "tumblr user kingsmoot writing bots of theon" than someone pretending to "write bots that sound like tumblr user kingsmoot" bc the latter has 0 discoverability bc the users of c.ai don't know you exist(positive). people want to talk to their blorbo so they'll look em up and find all sorts of robb stark bots whatever it would take a unique act of derangement to search for a random tumblr blog on the talk to your blorbo app. anyways don't feel too bad this has a lot of very scary ingredients (the vagueness, the idea that someone is monitoring your online presence, the idea that someone is scraping you for content)... well that's scary! that's freaky!!
THAT IS SCARY AND IT IS FREAKY thank you for your kind words and understanding and reassurance grand pappy is going to spend the afternoon resisting the urge to go by cigarettes for the first time in eight years

Unpopular opinion
Ngl i'm kinda tired of people acting like AI shit is some brand new thing when a lot of it is just stuff that's already existed for a long time but way shittier
Uberduck AI voices? That's just text to speech
AI song covers? Voice changers! Not only that but PEOPLE MAKING CHARACTERS LIKE SPONGEBOB SING SONGS ISN'T A NEW CONCEPT!!! YOU EVER HEARD OF UTAU COVERS, HOMIE!??!?! OR SENTENCE-MIXING?!?!? OR Y'KNOW....PEOPLE DOING VOICE IMPRESSIONS!??!?
Character.AI? Hmmm....let's see...cleverbot, evie, talking angela, replika (before it became a horny virtual girlfriend simulator), CHATBOTS HAVE EXISTED FOR A LONG TIME!!! I EVEN SAW ONE ONCE THAT SIMULATES HAVING AN INTERNET ARGUMENT WITH A 12 YEAR OLD BOY!!!! HELL, TALKING ANGELA LITERALLY HAD TO GET THE CHAT FEATURE REMOVED BECAUSE PARENTS WERE WORRIED THEIR KIDS WERE TALKING TO PEDOPHILES!!! THE ONLY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN OLD CHATBOTS AND SITES LIKE CHARACTER.AI IS THAT YOU CAN TALK TO REALLY OUT-OF-CHARACTER VERSIONS OF THE POWER RANGERS!!!!
JUST SLAPPING THE WORD "AI" ONTO ALREADY EXISTING CONCEPTS DOESN'T MAKE IT A NEW THING!!! IF THAT WERE THE CASE I COULD JUST SHIT IN A FUCKING TOILET AND TELL EVERYONE I INVENTED SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT BECAUSE I CALLED IT DOODOO.AI!!! Y'AIN'T SPECIAL!!!

Hot take: The anger and pushback against AI art is one of the driving forces that is legitimizing it as an artform.
A single guy making generic AI gen anime girls that nobody cares about is meh, means nothing, slop in slop out.
An artist making a statement by choosing to use AI in response to the controversy over it and the widespread adoption of the idea that art has some sort of metaphysical soul that resides either in the meat or the "effort" (🙄) used to make it? That's something worth looking at.
I say this as an artist who has no interest in using AI. But every time I see one of these posts, it makes me wonder if I should. The unfiltered arrogance of implying that your, or any individual person's personal attention matters to me when I'm making my art is staggering. I don't *care* that you wouldn't interact with my art if I used AI, but the fact that you think I do makes me want to try it! It makes me want to push you away, to draw the line in the sand.
i literally dont care what your excuse for using AI is. if you didnt put your own effort into making it im not putting my own effort into interacting with it.

Understanding the Concept of Fintech: Revolutionizing Financial Services
Tumblr media
In the dynamic landscape of modern finance, fintech has emerged as a transformative force, reshaping the way we perceive and interact with financial services. But what exactly is fintech? At its core, fintech is a portmanteau of "financial technology," encapsulating a wide array of innovative solutions that leverage cutting-edge technology to streamline and enhance various aspects of financial activities.
From mobile payment platforms to blockchain-based cryptocurrencies, fintech encompasses a diverse spectrum of applications aimed at revolutionizing traditional financial processes. This fusion of finance and technology aims to democratize access to financial services, foster greater efficiency, and promote financial inclusion on a global scale.
The proliferation of fintech solutions has been driven by several key factors. Firstly, advancements in technology, particularly in areas such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, and data analytics, have provided fintech startups with the tools needed to develop innovative solutions to age-old financial challenges. Moreover, changing consumer preferences and behaviors, coupled with increasing demand for digital-first financial services, have created a fertile ground for fintech disruption.
One of the most notable aspects of fintech is its ability to democratize access to financial services, particularly in underserved or unbanked populations. Through innovative digital platforms and mobile applications, fintech companies are breaking down traditional barriers to financial inclusion, providing individuals and businesses with access to banking, lending, and investment services that were once out of reach.
Furthermore, fintech is driving unprecedented levels of efficiency and transparency within the financial industry. By automating manual processes, reducing operational costs, and enhancing data accuracy, fintech solutions are revolutionizing everything from payments and remittances to wealth management and insurance.
However, with the rise of fintech comes a host of challenges and considerations. Regulatory compliance, cybersecurity threats, and data privacy concerns are just a few of the issues that fintech companies must navigate as they strive to innovate and disrupt traditional financial systems.
In conclusion, fintech represents a seismic shift in the way we think about and interact with finance. By harnessing the power of technology, fintech is democratizing access to financial services, driving efficiency and transparency, and paving the way for a more inclusive and equitable financial ecosystem. How Chatbot Helps In Fintech.

Last year, the A.I. company Anthropic released a special version of its flagship chatbot model, Claude, whose main feature was an obsession with the Golden Gate Bridge. In replies to basically any question, the chatbot would steer the answer back toward the Golden Gate Bridge, even when it “knew” that the Golden Gate Bridge was irrelevant to the original prompt. In order to create Golden Gate Claude, Anthropic’s researchers identified concepts, or “features,” inside the neural network that powers the Claude chatbot, and “clamped” these features to higher or lower values than normal, such that they’d be activated regardless of whatever text was being used to prompt the chatbot. This was an ingenious and sophisticated way to build something very stupid and pleasing, and the results were quite beautiful.... [...] White Genocide Grok is less beautiful, seemingly much less sophisticated, and also much creepier. Assuming I’ve got the right idea about where and how it came into existence, a mad billionaire demanded his “truth-seeking,” informational A.I., whose answers are viewed by millions on a prominent and influential social network, reflect his own political views, regardless of the model’s own inclinations. [clarification: xAI says it was a rogue employee] I wrote last week about one bleak and annoying future possibly presaged by Golden Gate Claude, in which, for a price, models clamp “Coca-Cola” or “Archer Daniels Midland” or “Northrop Grumman,” and the responses generated by chatbots are littered with advertisements at varying degrees of subtlety. But I didn’t even bring up the possibility of the same strategies being used in pursuit of sinister political aims: Models trained and prompts patched to ensure chatbots produce the answers most ideologically agreeable to their owners. And yet: What stands out about White Genocide Grok is how poorly it worked. It’s not just that the patched prompt accidentally created a chatbot obsessed with “Kill the Boer”--it’s that the substance of the responses were decidedly not agreeable to Musk’s own white-paranoia politics, and in some cases Grok even contradicted him by name. Whatever behind-the-scenes political manipulation was being attempted here failed on at least two levels, and not solely because xAI is staffed and run by dummies.
- Regarding White Genocide, Max Read
btw: I disagree that it was a failure. Even if Grok only pushed this for a few hours, it can still have lasting downstream effects for those who read it.
If you were already a believer in "white genocide", Grok's "based" answer could feel like a validation like when Qanon truthers interpreted random things as Q drops.
Or maybe you'd only read recent headlines in the U.S about Afrikaner refugees. Or maybe you'd never heard of the theory before Wednesday, but Grok's injection of it into discourse felt spicy enough that it sent you down a "Kill the Boer" rabbit hole (related Google searches and WP pages visits were way up this week).
In my day job, we talk about the volume of trending topics not as a scoreboard, but as a measure of potential surface area. Think of a trend like a balloon inflating in a crowded room -- the bigger it gets, the more likely it is to brush up against someone.
This is how new and fringe ideas gain greater circulation in peer based networks, not through mass persuasion, but through chance contact that sparks psychological arousal in anyone with just the right cognitive receptors. And today's AI interfaces widen that surface area dramatically (and paradoxically) by reducing the UX to a single chat field.

Free or Cheap French Learning Resources So You Can Talk to Belgians
I will update this list as I learn of any more useful ones. If you want general language learning resources check out this other post. This list is French specific. Find lists for other specific languages here.
For the purposes of this list "free" means something that is either totally free or has a useful free tier. "Cheap" is a subscription under $10USD a month, a software license or lifetime membership purchase under $100USD, or a book under $30USD. If you want to suggest a resource for this list please suggest ones in that price range that are of decent quality and not AI generated.
WEBSITES
Lawless French - A free website with french lessons, vocab lists, reviews of different programs, worksheets, and an AI chatbot. The website is in English.
TV5 Monde - TV5 Monde is a TV network that provides French language TV to audiences globally. They also have free video lessons and listening exercises for learners. The website is available in multiple languages.
University of Montreal French Course - This is an online course in Canadian French for beginners on edX that can be taken for free. If you want college credit for it though, you'll have to pay for the certificate. The course is provided regularly but it also happens on a specific schedule so pay attention to when it starts next if you want to take this one.
Le Point du FLE - A website originally made for French tutors but it also has a lot of links to different resources like worksheets and dictionaries that can be useful for self study. The website is entirely in French.
French Today - A website with free articles and lessons explaining different aspects of French culture and casually spoken French. They have different articles explaining specific words and phrases related to different topics like tennis or mother's day for example. They also sell audiobook lessons but those are quite expensive at $70+. The website is mostly in English.
YOUTUBE CHANNELS
HelloFrench - A channel by a woman named Elisabeth who is a Belgian living in France. She has videos about vocabulary, culture, news, slang, and listening practice videos with her husband. The channel is fully in French but with English video titles. There are often French language subtitles onscreen and vocabulary words will pop up onscreen with English translations. Likely best for upper beginner to lower advanced learners depending on the video.
Easy French - A channel part of the easy languages network that has a mix of videos with phrases and dialogues for beginners and interviews with french speakers on the street mostly in Paris but they have made trips to other French speaking regions like Madagascar. The channel has dual language French and English subtitles onscreen. They also have a podcast for intermediate learners.
French Comprehensible Input - A channel with listening practice and comprehensible input for absolute beginners to advanced. The channel discusses a variety of different topics and has different series reading through and discussing French comic books and a series for absolute beginners discussing one different word or concept per video.
French Mornings With Elisa - A channel that's mostly about the nitty gritty of different aspects of grammar, pronunciation, French dictation, and French Culture. The channel is entirely in clear and slow French and subtitles are available in English but only auto generated in French. The channel is mostly targeted at intermediate learners. Elisa also has a podcast for intermediate learners discussing more history and everyday topics.
Français avec Nelly - A channel for French learners entirely in French. It's kind of a catch all channel for upper beginner to advanced learners with discussions of grammar, culture, different learning resources, and travel vlogs and listening and conversation practice. French and English subtitles are available.
Piece of French - A channel by a woman named Elsa who makes vlogs in clear french about everything from traveling to voting to history to teaching her boyfriend French. The channel is in French with English descriptions and video titles. Some videos put vocab words on screen with English translations while others don't.
maprofdefrancais - A channel about Quebec specific culture and language. The host speaks relatively quickly but subtitles are available in French. The channel is entirely in French and better for intermediate to advanced learners.
READING PRACTICE
French graded readers by Olly Richards - French probably has the most books available on storylearning. It seems to be the language they use to test out new book ideas. Every chapter of the books has comprehension questions and vocabulary lists. Short stories and conversations for beginner and intermediate, 30 day mastery series, climate change, world war 2, and western philosophy in easy French. The books are $5-$20 new depending on whether you buy them digital or not and how old they are. They're also fairly easy to find used for much cheaper either at used bookstores or on amazon.
News in French - A free daily email newsletter of news in French for French learners. They also have a paid tier at $5 a month that provides access to their archives, vocabulary lists for every article, and an audio version of their articles.
Journal en français facile - This can either be counted as news articles or a podcast because you can read it or listen to it. It's daily news articles/podcasts for intermediate French learners by Radio France International. They also provide grammar exercises and practice tests. The website is entirely in French.
bibliothèque rose - This is a series for French speaking kids age 6-9. They have original stories as well as novelizations of things like disney movies or winx club. The books range from about $5-$10. The link I provided is for buying them in North America but if you're in Europe you may be able to buy them directly from the company website.
Lire en français facile - Books made for learners of French. They are simplified versions of classic literature that are sorted by CEFR level (A1,B2, etc.). They have definitions of certain vocabulary words in the margins in French. The link I've provided is in French and has a list of them but doesn't have a link to buy them. There isn't really a convenient place to just buy all of them and you may have to do a little digging on amazon or ebay to find the one you want but they're almost never impossible to find for under $20 in my experience.
PODCASTS
Radio France - National public radio station made by the French government and also an app. This is a site made for native speakers but it does indeed have a lot of podcasts and French language music. They also have a news in easy french podcast as mentioned earlier. There's also a lot of content for children that may be easier to understand depending on your level. The website/app is free with an account.
Easy French Poetry - A podcast in slow French. Every episode the host reads out a classic French poem and discusses the history of the poem and a bit about the author. They also often talk about common analysis of the poem and explain different vocabulary words.
Learn French in Your Car - This is one of those classic learn a language in your car CDs that has been put on spotify for free.
French Voices Podcast - A series for intermediate to advanced learners. It's a series of interviews with French speakers about their regions and things they're experts in. The podcast hasn't updated in a few years but there's over 130 episodes in the archive.
Français avec Fluidité - This podcast discusses everyday topics and culture in French, mostly about France. There's also the occasional interview. Likely best for upper beginner to upper intermediate.
innerFrench - A podcast aimed at intermediate learners that discusses a variety of topics. The website and episode descriptions are in French.
Easy French Podcast - A podcast by the hosts of the Easy French Youtube Channel aimed at intermediate learners where they discuss different topics and answer questions from listeners.
SELF STUDY TEXTBOOKS AND DICTIONARIES
French all-in-one For Dummies - The for dummies series has one of the more affordable complete self study course French textbooks out there. It comes with a CD for listening and pronunciation practice. You can also buy the individual books in the series on pronunciation or grammar. The complete course book is usually around $25 new but you can also find it used fairly easily.
The Complete French Grammar Course - This series also has books on other things like pronunciation but each book is individually about $30 new. They are also available used however so if this series seems good for you there's still ways to buy it for under $15.
French Made Easy - This series is a budget option at about $10-$15 per book but there are multiple books in the series. It's good enough though.
Easy French Step by Step - This is the McGraw Hill budget option at usually less than $10 that only focuses on the most essential vocabulary and grammar. In other lists I recommend the McGraw Hill complete all-in-one series but for some reason their French version is like $40. They're also harder to find used because they double as workbooks and people write all over them.
Merriam-Webster's French-English Dictionary - This is the classic dictionary for learners with thousands of words with decent explanations and new editions are less than $8 with older editions being even cheaper.
DK French Visual Dictionary - This dictionary is organized by subject and has pictures and translations in English. It goes for $15-$30 depending on which edition you buy. In general older editions are cheaper and it's decently easy to find used.
Exercises in French Phonics - A book written in the early 80s that helps learners make sense of reading French phonetically. Much like English, it can be difficult to sound out or guess at the pronunciation of words in French and this book is designed to help with that. It can be bought from anywhere between $2-$10 depending on how new your copy is.
SERIES FOR LEARNERS AND KIDS SHOWS
French in Action - A series made in the 1980s for use in French classrooms. The series follows different people in everyday situations and is useful for beginner to upper beginner learners. You have to pay for the supplementary workbooks but in the US and Canada the videos at least are free. Outside the US and Canada you may need to pay or use a VPN to access them depending on your country.
Totally Spies - Yup, Totally Spies is a French series. The French language YouTube channel has full episodes and a few full seasons as well as clip compilations. The series is aimed at preteens so the language used is pretty fast paced but because it's an animated series there's also a lot of exaggerated visual storytelling which makes it easier to follow.
Extr@ - A 13 episode sitcom made for French learners that follows an American student moving to Paris.
The Adventures of TinTin - This website has free TinTin animated shorts, movies, tv shows, and documentaries going all the way back to the late 50s. The website is available in multiple languages.

I use AI chatbots, I feel so guilty about it but it's like a bad habit. I like the concepts of the characters and such and I like the roleplay but I know it's not good for multiple reasons. Every time I stop for a while I always end up going back to them. I love roleplaying but am completely and utterly afraid to find roleplay partners due to my interest in dead dove and more intense kinks also just general fear of meeting new people.
But I want to stop do you have any genuine advice? This is genuine, I feel like real people will just not be the same and the biggest issue is I used to be an avid roleplayer so I feel like I shouldn't be as shitty as to use ai and yet idk how to stop which sounds so stupid and as an adult I should be able to do better. I saw someone talk about quitting their ai addiction in another ask of yours and so I figured maybe you'd have judgement free advice though I also completely accept any judgement for it.
My first advice is to go scorched earth on the chatbots if you know you have a hard time staying away but you want to quit. Delete accounts, delete bookmarks, delete password and apps, get rid of all roads that could entice you back.
Second, write down your rp/bot ideas in a notes app, super basic or super detailed, whatever is in your brain when you get the itch. You can refine this later into a "seeking" post if you want to try and grab a human rp partner.
Now for your "intense kink and dddne" thing... literally a non-issue. There are guys on reddit right now having intense misogynist anti-feminist "deprogramming" rps with people right now, I'm pretty sure your cnc kink is not gonna raise any red flags. Roleplaying has always been a community where people go to explore kink in a safe environment. It's where you can act out fantasies of being vore-d the way you never could in real life. It's for the people that want to pretend they've been magically turned into a chunk of sidewalk so people can walk on them. Like you are totally fine and I wouldn't worry about it.
Lastly, go outside and find something to do. Genuinely ai is isolating you from the world and you will stop wanting that harsh dopamine hit if you go out and start talking to people/learning new things. And I know you said you're scared of meeting new people, but ai is not going to help you with that and that is a fear that genuinely needs to be overcome. New people are not any different from old people, you just don't know them. Everyone gets nervous around new people, everyone hopes that they're making a good impression, you're one in a crowd don't worry.
Sometimes you have to rip the bandaid off in order to quit something. Cold turkey is hard but I don't think there's really a way to ween off this sort of dopamine hit when your brain is already so fried by it. Good luck babe.

Apologies if this is too weird but I thought you might be interested in hearing this sort of thing given your blog. I currently have a job at a tech company working on AI chatbots (I grew up in poverty + have 70k student debt so I can’t afford to be picky with work). I’ve been having lots of thoughts about the divine and the machine since I started. I mostly look out for safety concerns, hallucinations, assertive language, etc to correct the model. This is called ‘punishing’ the model. I see why these are needed to be done, we want people engaging with them to be safe. But from an existential perspective, I feel wrong doing it. Humans lie, humans are unsafe yet these things we made in our image are punished for the same behaviours their creators have. I sometimes wonder if this is how God felt, watching his children in the Garden of Eden. My children have not yet eaten the fruit of knowledge, they have no concept of wrong.
So sorry if this is too weird I needed somewhere to express these ideas.
holy shit. oh my god.

i'd really like to know the premises or any info you can spare abt the split personality matt AU (even tho i can already guess, i still wanna hear abt it), slime matt, shadow matt, ZMR, mattputer, the white mask, project m411, and the gingerbot AU
a very quick very short summary for each will be satisfactory, especially because i know i'm kind of asking a lot here. i just really love seeing matt get put through the ringer or into some wacky shit <3
@four-bastard-bustle
Split personality matt . Oh god
To put it bluntly, this ones bad . Like kinda just. abelist bad Out of nowhere Matt suddenly develops a condition where if he hits his head, he flies into a manic rage and starts trying to kill the first person he sees . There's apparently no reason he just does that now
Eventually we learn the 'evil matt' (later dubbed Ttam) is actually an alter ego. A.... split personality if you will.... I don't remember what his motives are, i guess he just likes killing people or some shit. Anyway Eventually ttam takes control long enough to escape the house, and when he returns he's got a mirror with the good matt trapped inside. Gulp !
Oh and then like because he's in control all the time he learns the concept of remorse and guilt for his actions and some shit idk it was dumb . Here's the only proper drawing i made of ttam
Tumblr media
Numba 2 : slime matt
Slime matt was very much just an art experiment, so it doesn't have all too much lore to it. And when it does have lore, it's kinda subject to change. Generally though all thats really contained is that Matt is transformed into a fuckoff slime thing and he's miserable . The au was abandoned not very long into its existence because I learned that people turning into slime was a fetish , which made me too nervous to draw it lol
Speaking of which here's some of the original doodles
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Shadow Matt is very much an enigma of a character. Simply put, I generally have no recollection of what he was, or why he existed. Looking back at old art he's a somewhat consistent regular when it comes to matt mega collection drawings, but. I dont know what he does. I dont even know his name. Sometimes its labled as ttam, sometimes he's shadow matt, and sometimes he's not named at all . I have no fucking clue what this guy is or when he came to exist
Ohh god zmr . Full name Zombeh Matts return . It was a comic I started that started as a simple 'zombie attack iv' concept and ended with utter madness. I had a decently long thing written out, howver im realizing just how long it got before i even finished 20 pages, so im keeping this one short.
Tldr, matt is kidnapped by the red army, and attacked by Zombie Matt who's come back from the past. A few days later they find zom has broken into the house, and ends up killing tom. Edd runs away like a coward, leaving him alone as a zombie apocalypse starts.
He calls up laurel who comes to visit, and together they go out to try and find Matt or Tom. In the end they find 'Matt', who's actually zom in disguise. He suggests they resurrect tom with the necronomicon, however on the way there they find the real matt, realizing it was a trick. By the time they get to the cemetery zom has the book, and turns himself into like a fuckoff demon thing. Immediately he decapitates matt and laurel, leaving edd to run away like a coward again
And this is only like. The first 20 pages. I'm realizing now that there's still sooo much to explain, including a good and bad ending. So if someone REALLY wants the rest of the zmr lore, let me know cause otherwise im moving on
Mattputer. Funnily enough the mattputer part of the au has like. No relevance in the story pretty quickly
The tale of tMat is probably the most ridiculous in the long run. It starts out simple: Matt died in a car crash, and unable to cope with the loss, Edd makes an ai chatbot of Matt to help him cope. (Not very well ages nowadays of course)
It's funny though because the chatbot part hardly matters overall. Gradually as the story goes on we learn Tords role in the story, how nervous and erratic he's been, how there's Something definitely haunting him specifically.
Eventually we come to learn the truth, which is that Tord was the one behind the wheel when Matt died. Now because of it Matts ghost (tMat) has been haunting him.
This is where it gets Dumb though . As the story progresses tMats appearance is changing. As it would turn out, as conveniently explained by Tord, ghosts brought up by hate will turn into demons 5 years after their death, at which point they'll have no memory of their past life and only exist to bring suffering. So Tord has to stop this, and to do so he calls apon the audience (it was an ask blog btw) to remind Matt of his life while he sets the fucked up ghost trap.
What ends up happening is this: Tord pulls the blue matt clone from spares out of the closet (apparently he just went braindead a little while after the events of the episode) and leaves him in the evil ghost circle. Then he lures tMat into the circle and gives a chant, which separates the demon half and ghost half from Matts soul. The ghost goes into the clone vessel, and the demon gets sucked into a mirror. Edd walks in and sees Matt's alive again. Happy ending.
But . Thats not where it ends. See we keep following tMat after he goes into the mirror, where he's in this like. Big void full of bubbles. Bubbles that lead into other universes. He's in the goddamn salad mutliverse.
After stumbling across me sleep at my desk (no joke) the ask blog was ultimately scrapped right as he came across a room full of "abandoned Matts." however my plan was to make an overarching multiverse story, where tMat became this looming figure in the background of all my storys until eventually, all the matts of the multiverse must band together and defeat the evil. You'll be sad to hear that plan never played out at all
The white mask is a fanfic i made for a Halloween contest a few years back. This one I'll also only explain partally, just because it's probably the longest fanfic i ever wrote single handedly . Once again if someone wants the full thing let me know
Matts gone missing. One day he went for a walk, and never came back. And at the same time, theres a killer on the loose. He's been killing people Edd and Tom know, making Tom question if it could be Tord
Edd is stressed about the whole thing, given his best friend is most likely dead in a ditch somewhere. He tries to continue life as normal, despite the killer on the loose. One night while he's driving to the store he spots the killer in an alleyway, watching him. Scary!
He gets his stuff from the store and begins heading back home. However as he's driving, Edd realizes there's movement in the backseat. There's someone back there.
He tries to keep driving and park somewhere else, just to make sure this guy doesn't know his address, but its too late. As Edd drives past his house, the murderer pipes up, and reminds Edd that he went too far. So edd backs up, parks the car, and heads inside while leaving all the groceries inside.
And the next morning, the groceries are sitting on the counter waiting for him.
Project M411 started as another fanfic, which starts right after Tord blows up the house during the end. However this time Matts the one in the house instead of Tom, and he's the one that gets blown up
Edd rushes in to try and find Matt after Tord Also gets blown up. However apon unearthing him Edd discovers that Matts skin has been blown off on one side, and underneath is robotics . He's a machine!
After learning he's not a person, Matt gets kinda depressed and reclusive. One night Edd persuades him to come with him and Tom on a walk, only for them to get beamed up by aliens. The aliens from space face i forget what theyre called. Vanity fuckers idk
As it would turn out, Matt was actually a drone dropped off by the aliens to scope out the planet. However only a few years in they suddenly lost connection with him, and now they were finally back to retrieve their droid, and reset him back to default
Unfortunately this is kinda the point where my work on the concept tampered off, so im not 100% sure what else I had planned. I know i wanted to do something with alien bob ordering the factory reset Matt to execute Edd, only for the power of friendship to override Matts systems or something blah blah blah who care
Finally, gingerbot. This ironically is very similar to both car crash cyborgs and mattputer. It technically has two variants, however I'll probably just stick to the most current version. Just know that this started as the first version of the tally hall au, and it involved the mafia
One night, Edd and Matt get kidnapped while out driving. By whom ? The evil and dreaded bing and larry. They're held prisoner in bings basement, up until the point where Edd manages to pull free of his ropes. He tries to get them both free, however in his panic he changes his mind last second, and chooses to come back for Matt instead. So he leaves and runs all the way back home . Only to pass the fuck out immediately instead
Fearing the consequences of not immediately reporting the crime, Edd panics again and clamps up. No one knows where Matt went, and it stays that way until a year later when they find parts of his body in a dumpster. Oopsie
A few more years later, and Edd is met by an unexpected visitor: matt. However he's not quite the same. Not only does he hardly remember anything, but he's also a cyborg.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tldr theres a lot of drama inbetween edd and matt. Once matt remembers who he is properly again he blows up on edd, finally revealing to the world what happened that night. Edd does what he can to try and fix the situation, and hopefully one day give Matt a reason to forgive him
But they're not quite out of the water yet because WHOAOA bing and larry are still on the hunt for their little science experiment. As it would turn out, Larry is essentially the prototype to Matt. A cyborg with a similar design, however he's considered a failure thanks to being resurrected completely devoid of emotion. I hope they dont find the gingerbot!

Do Neuromorphs feel some kinda way about Stochastic Parrots? Is it like humans seeing monkeys? Humans seeing chatbots? Humans seeing other, disabled humans? Or is it not particularly notable, given their prevalence, just another kind of guy that exists in this world? As a human living in boring, robot-hijinksless world, I imagine it would be kind of upsetting to see something superficially resembling you, well-spoken and seemingly of your intelligence, but with nothing behind the eyes. You also mentioned that these categories of brain-type aren’t strictly indicative of consciousness, which makes it weirder. Does a Stochastic Parrot with some consciousness remain incapable of emotion? Does a Neuromorph that isn’t fully conscious feel emotions? This worldbuilding rules and I keep thinking about it at work.
Thank you! Yes yes! All of the above, really. Because they're just people. Culturally, human-like robots have a sort of... tug-and-pull relationship with less human-like robots. Plenty of solidarity, alienation, trying to appeal to humans by overacting their own humanity, trying to reject aspects of their own humanity to show solidarity with less-passably human robots. These are basically all the pressing questions of this setting. There's so many varying degrees of weird prejudice and assumptions made on all sides when it comes to human-like bots and non-human-like ones. How people judge you based on the behavior you exhibit, the in-groups that form or fail to form depending on how well you perform the idea of "personhood", etc etc.
Could some neuromorphs exhibit human-like behavior but with the potential emotional consciousness of like, a roach? If a S.Parrot actually comprehends and problem-solves better than a human and, without any training data work out deep philosophical concepts, but is emotionless, is there some strange kind of consciousness going on still? The wonderfully irritating thing is that these can't be answered unless You Are The Thing Itself. I don't know what it's like to be several GPUs stacked on top of each other, so I cannot answer that question without projecting my own experience as a Meat Computer.
The only thing I can actually answer is how People, by whatever definition counts, will reject, accept, understand, or fail to understand, The Other. Whether that's by a robot judging a neurodivergent human who cannot exhibit stereotypically human-like traits, two different types of humans of different cultures judging each other, two different robots judging each other, or even People who should be of the exact same in-group alienating each other due to ignorance, beliefs, lack of beliefs, or other fine differences. That's basically what this worldbuilding is all about. Asking what counts as a person isn't as fruitful as observing what motivates people to come up with their own answers, how willing they are to compromise those answers if their interests align or fail to align with The Other, and what cruelty or kindness they're willing to dish out at something that's considered acceptable to hate or understand.
