Impact crater on Mars

In the southern highlands of Mars, CaSSIS spotted ancient and eroded craters filled with sediment. This is the case of this relatively old, 15 km diameter crater in Tyrrhena Terra, showing its age in its flattened rim – younger craters have sharper, more defined rims – and the degraded ejecta blanket.

There is a central uplift section to the crater, as well as many smaller craters, which also suggests an advanced age.

Beautiful dark dunes appear in contrast with wind-blown, pinkish ripples winding their way around the terrain.

Like most CaSSIS imagery, the colours in this image are stretched to highlight the diversity of surface composition.

Schools, houses of worship, hospitals, and other "sensitive locations" are no longer federally protected from ICE raids and arrests. The absolute silence today is gut wrenching. Leaflets were dropped on the west bank telling palistinians to go to Jordan. Last time they told them to go south and they got bombed. Everything about Palestine has suddenly dropped off trending and we know that staff has been suppressing the tags #free palestine and #palestine. Now its has to be every single tag that was trending, because i just simply do not believe we stopped talking about it over night. I feel so hopeless about this shit but the only thing we can do rn is to not stop talking. We have to stop trying to bury our heads in the sand and keep posting as if it was normal because its not normal. Palestinians don't get a break from the horror, the least we can do for them is to make sure their suffering isn't silent.

Sorry to post politics on main, but some of you pro-palestine people are missing the point when it comes to the US election.

At this point, there is really no alternative to voting for Kamala. RFK is not getting elected. Trump would be infinitely worse for the Israel-Palestine conflict (as well as other conflicts! and our well-being in general).

Stop virtue signaling and actually do something (vote) so that America can have a better leader than Trump. That’s all. We’re not voting for our next Messiah, we’re not voting between two perfect angels, it’s a US presidential election.

And those of you saying that Kamala is “committing genocide” really need to get things into perspective. The Vice President does not have the power to furnish weapons to Israel. Israel’s prime minister is acting in direct defiance of the Biden/Harris administration’s wishes and Harris has been the most vocal in asking for a ceasefire.

The Palestine conflict is not an excuse to not vote. Not voting makes it likely that Trump will win, history will go on whether you play a part or not. I want my reproductive rights back. Please.
