It really is a shame that Secret of Evangelion was never translated into English. I would love to be able to actually play the game instead of having to run screenshots through translation software and hope for the best. But I guess this is the best I'll get with a PS2 game from 2006.

Kyoya Kenzaki is a fascinating character. I want to study that man under a microscope. Since you're playing the game from his perspective, you really get to see his thought processes and how he reacts to certain situations.

Even though the rough translations I have, I can tell his character development is excellent. The catalyst of said character development is Kaji's death. Once he kills his closest friend, he really starts to question whether or not he should continue blindly following Gendo's orders. To the point where he comes to loathe Gendo. (Good for you, Kyoya. Gendo is a shitbag.)

Long story short Kyoya Kenzaki is cool AF and it's a real shame more people don't know about him.

Oh yeah did I mention he has angel bits in him? Yeah Ritsuko put angel bits in him without telling him after he got severely injured during an angel attack. This guy is having hallucinations and weird shit is happening to him bc of the angel bits. And he's having an existential crisis over it bc he DOES NOT KNOW that he's essentially been experimented on without his consent. (Finding this out made me like Ritsuko less bc there are several scenes where he goes to her for answers and she just refuses to tell him anything. Girl that's fucked up.)

one thing that constantly plagues my mind is this single milgram timeline interaction between shidou and kazui on kazui's birthday

like not only is it extremely gay but i've recently realized the fact that kazui mentions it's his birthday has certain implications. milgram is pretty thoughtfully written, which would lead me to believe that they wouldn't disregard things that have been said in the past no matter how long ago.

meaning the things kazui said on his first birthday is still just as relevant even now.

this would imply that kazui bringing up the fact it was his birthday was just an excuse to get shidou to spend some time with him.

why would he go out of his way to mention something he claims he doesn’t care much about if not as an excuse to get shidou to actually spend time with him? either it's just his crippling loneliness or he actually does have a thing for shidou, especially with the way his development is going and how his feelings and desires are being affirmed. plus every milgram interaction has some form of significance to the characters' development.

i do still feel like it's kind of a reach to make this assumption and i'm probably reading into it way too much, cuz it really could just be kazui being nice, but, y'know, why place so much emphasis on it? and also a SHOULDER MASSAGE being offered by the guy who craves physical touch? the closet is not even glass atp it’s been disassembled and returned to ikea

Why I don't associate myself with the ranfren fandom

I love ranfren, i really do, i love the comic the art and the silly concept, but the fandom itself is so fucking insufferable. (EXCEPT FOR MY MOOTS ILY GUYS) the amount of CRIMINAL shit I see in the ranfren confession is genuinely just fucking cringe.

"Ranfren is supposed to be weird!!" It doesn't mean you can just say you want to RAPE Randal if he were a shotacon?? Even as a joke that's fucking disgusting. You have a problem to who ever made that confession, and it's not funny. I dont care if you have a mental problem, either get help or keep that shit in a diary.

The other reason, it's draining as stupid as it sounds, the amount of drama and like I said people in the fandom in it just creates a negative fandom space, yes a lot of fandoms have that side but it isn't usually as bad as whatever the hell this is. There might be worse out there but from my experience this is just fucking ridiculous.

Like I said, I still love ranfren a lot. But I just don't want to be associated to the fandom in such a way. ESPECIALLY with anon asks telling me that having DNI weirdos and being a ranfren fan at the same time is crazy. No it's not. There's a difference between being weird and being WEIRD. Weird being a fucking pedophile lolicon thing and the other weird is just liking weird things like horror, paranormal, Taxidermy and stuff like me.
