The Significance of Kidney Health for Overall Well-being: Dr. Tauseef Ahmed, the Premier Nephrologist in Aurangabad
The human body is a complex network of organs, each with a unique role in maintaining overall health and well-being. Among these vital organs, the kidneys hold a pivotal position in ensuring that the body functions optimally. Kidney health is often underestimated, yet it plays a crucial role in promoting overall well-being. In this article, we will explore the importance of kidney health and emphasize the indispensable role played by nephrologists in maintaining it. We will also focus on the expertise of Dr. Tauseef Ahmed, a renowned nephrologist in Aurangabad.
The Essential Functions of the Kidneys Blood Filtration At the core of kidney function lies the filtration of waste products and surplus substances from the bloodstream. This process is integral to maintaining the body's freedom from harmful toxins and waste materials.
Blood Pressure Regulation The kidneys actively regulate blood pressure by controlling blood volume and sodium concentration. Proper blood pressure is essential for overall well-being.
Electrolyte Balance Balancing electrolytes such as sodium, potassium, and calcium is vital for muscle function and overall health. The kidneys are instrumental in this process.
Acid-Base Balance The kidneys play a pivotal role in maintaining the body's acid-base balance, ensuring that pH levels remain within the optimal range for normal bodily functions.
Toxin Removal In addition to waste product filtration, the kidneys also filter out medications, toxins, and other harmful substances that could otherwise jeopardize health.
Common Kidney Health Issues Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) CKD is a severe condition where the kidneys gradually lose their ability to function. It can lead to a range of health issues and necessitates expert care.
Kidney Stones Kidney stones are excruciating and can significantly impact kidney health. Proper guidance from a nephrologist can assist in their management and prevention.
Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs) UTIs can lead to kidney infections if left untreated. Nephrologists can provide guidance on both prevention and treatment.
The Role of a Nephrologist Nephrologist Defined A nephrologist is a medical specialist focused on kidney care. They are trained to diagnose, treat, and manage kidney-related diseases and disorders.
When to Consult a Nephrologist Seek consultation with a nephrologist if you experience persistent symptoms related to kidney health, such as high blood pressure, changes in urinary patterns, or a family history of kidney disease.
Lifestyle Choices for Healthy Kidneys The maintenance of kidney health also hinges on lifestyle choices. Here are some guidelines to ensure your kidneys remain in optimal condition:
Adequate Hydration Consume plenty of water to help your kidneys effectively flush out toxins and maintain proper function.
Balanced Diet Opt for a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, while limiting processed foods, salt, and sugar.
Regular Exercise Physical activity can help maintain overall health and reduce the risk of kidney problems.
Moderation of Salt and Sugar Excessive salt and sugar intake can lead to hypertension and diabetes, both of which can impact kidney health.
The Importance of Regular Check-ups Regular check-ups are vital for the preservation of kidney health. They enable early detection of kidney issues and contribute to the prevention of the progression of kidney diseases. Dr. Tauseef Ahmed, as one of the foremost nephrologists in Aurangabad, can provide the necessary guidance and care to ensure your kidneys remain in optimal health.
In Conclusion In summary, kidney health is of paramount importance for overall well-being. Your kidneys are integral to maintaining a healthy internal environment, and it is imperative to prioritize their care. Regular check-ups, a balanced lifestyle, and consultation with experts like Dr. Tauseef Ahmed can ensure that your kidneys function at their best.

I can’t stop thinking about angel anatomy.
How are they made? What are they made of? If we break them down limb by limb, flesh by flesh, molecule by molecule, would we find the same structures that echoes our DNA? The same stable, constraining carbon? The same heavy metals? The same blood that flows with life, with death? Are they made of the same stardust that echoed in me?
Do they have a brain? A large raw organ, fragile and limited, capable of complex imaginary hallucinatory mathematics with scheduled periods of unconsciousness to make up for the capacity? A liver and two kidneys? To distill the holy light from the contaminates of the polluting environments akin to a dialysis machine cycling the liquids within the veins? A spine that holds strong? Riddled with the same 33 bones and ridges and intervertebral disks and fluids and sensitive nerves and has a habit of bending over for tedious work? A stomach that stirs and shifts constantly? To hold food? Souls? Light? To churn and froth at the consumption of concepts? An appendix? This small unless thing that rests and nestles between the layers of warm, worm-like intestines? How many teeth do you have? How many fingers? How many knees? What is the shape of your nails? What is the colour of your esophagus? How deep are the socket of your eyes?
How fast does your heart beat?
Is it faster? Slower? Do you even have a heart?
Do you feel in the same way that I feel? The pressure of processed wood against my feet, the nagging buzzing of LED light above my head, the smell of faint smoke from a cooking disaster weeks ago. The sound of people laughing unruly in the distance, putting on a show in the TV program that no one watches. The dampness of the towel against my face. The pain of a needle sliding into soft flesh that gives way willingly to metal. The bruises blooming slowly, aching like love. The chirping of songbirds, the shape of cumulus clouds, the haziness of a morning fog that really stayed for far too long. The way that my mother worked around the hard peels of an orange with the sharpest knife in the kitchen, just to present the sweetest parts to me. The tenderness of a shoulder touching mine before stealing my blankets (again) with a giggle that indicated no remorse. The sluggish sunlight that sneaks through the shades just to press a kiss on my forearm. The sorrow and passion of the symphony on the last show on the last tour, followed by cheers and drunken (revered) confessions during the post-performance celebration at 3am in a random bar of a random city. The foot print of an animal in the first winter snow of the year, like a human pressing their hand print on to the cave walls, chanting I am here I am here I am here, chanting remember me remember me remember me.
Do you bear the shame of sacred inabilities as we humans do? Unable to see beyond the visible spectrum of light? Unable to distinguish the difference between wet and dry, only to assume based on temperature and texture? Unable to know if someone else was speaking of the truth? Unable to see inside someone’s mind? Unable to thread words in a way that completely gives you away like you intended to? Unable to turn back into a child and speak of love so easily? Unable to run forever and ever? Unable to peak into the veil beyond space and time and death? Unable to tell your pet that you’re sorry for making them take the awful medicine and please don’t hate me please don’t hate me please don’t hate me? Unable to be remembered and recognized, at least not wholly, at least not without mistakes?
Do you ever feel the strangeness of existence? Why you? Why now? Why here? That sometimes it feels like the world is five degrees to the left and you are just out of sync enough to keep going. That sometimes you are so overwhelmed with the the giant coincidence that is the world so you weep uncontrollably at the wonder of it all. That you feel like suffocation as you dig into the earth with your bloody fingers because a bird hit your window and died and you didn’t know and you kneeled by it for an hour before realizing it wasn’t breathing.
It died so long ago. It won’t get up again. The first time you held a bird was its cold hard corpse. So small between your palms, so fragile. It’s feathers iridescent. You have never seen one so up close. It was the prettiest and the deadest thing you’ve ever touched. It feels like the world. It feels like a prayer. Do you understand?
Do you regret like me? Love like me? Despair like me? Do you dream like me? Pray like me? Cry like me?
How close are you?
Let me touch you.
Please, I have to know.

once again losing my shit over needlessly traumatic nanbaka inmate backstories. we have:
Child assassin whose vital organs got stolen by organ traffickers. (Who then charged him for the dialysis to keep him alive with free labor???)
World famous actor who was kidnapped as a toddler, groomed to be a superstar, and gaslit his entire life about his parentage.
Honors student born with dangerous congenital medical condition: Randomly Bursting Into Flames.
Multiple counts of "I Have No Memories Of How I Got Here But I Prolly Deserve It"
Multimillionaire heir possessed by the spirit of Count Dracula
Guy who had all the human rights violations laid out for him at the start, but was forcefed too much self-hate juice to do anything about it.

No one understands more than me the feeling of wanting a loved one to live. I was contemplating letting doctors cut off my father's damned leg just to keep him around another 6 months.
But I also remember him yelling and begging for his life to be over.
Sometimes our desire for someone to live is an act of selfishness.
Dialysis was near torture for him. He would recover from one treatment only in time to start the next one.
I can't imagine putting an infant through that.
They are also talking about a transplant in the future. Which would be another grueling surgery and recovery. And apparently, the odds of success are not wonderful.
And even after that, this child might have lifelong kidney problems.
I do hope it works out and this baby turns into a healthy kid.
But I still don't know if that small chance is worth torturing an infant.
And I certainly don't think it justifies forcing births.
This is a rare outcome and in most cases, many more mothers are going to have to watch their newborns die in their arms.

You Wouldn't Download A Creel
Crack moment I had that makes more sense than I thought it would when I first opened this draft, specifically irt these two posters:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In Fringe, there's nanotechnology called "soul magnets", which allowed William Bell to transfer his consciousness into Olivia Dunham and take control of her body. When it came time to get his consciousness out of her body, they tried to download him from the soul magnets into a computer, and from there into a new body.
Tumblr media
As I talked about here, we already have a visual parallel between a) "Bellivia" being retrieved from the depths of her mind by Peter, in an attempt to free her from Bell's possession, and b) The First Shadow, wherein Henry is flayed:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now, the Shadow seems to function like a biological version of Soul Magnets:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
There's an original consciousness, and via small particles it transfers that consciousness to another host.
But, as I've also mentioned before, there's a Brenner in Fringe, and he's tied to William Bell's + Walter Bishop's child psionic experimentation:
Tumblr media
So...that leads me to ask: What about actual soul magnets? What about "[Brenner voice] making a map of your brain and body", and downloading that into a computer for safe keeping?
For Bell, the process failed.
But...what if it had worked? What if you had one guy biologically downloaded into the alien hive mind, and another downloaded onto a computer?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And, given that flaying seems to be entirely physical, would this person -> computer -> person act as a dialysis of sorts?
Could you free someone from the Mindflayer by downloading their consciousness into a computer and then putting them into an un-flayed clone of themselves?

obviously these things are not all on the same scale but the compounding of personal, communal, and global events just have me 🫠
- End of Sept my beloved childhood dog had to be put down
- October 7th, Hamas attack
- October 9th, get a call from my dad that he’s flying in because grandma unexpectedly took a downturn
- October 10th, nervously waiting for my dad’s update all day. Finally get it and hear that things are critical but stable. He feels optimistic after talking to the doctor. He was able to talk to her too. She’s too tired in the evening because dialysis is tiring, but I should visit tomorrow.
- October 11th wake up early and can’t go back to sleep. Go get coffee just for something to do. Gets call at 6:58 from my dad and I know it can’t be good. Go to the hospital. See her. Give the doctors permission to start palliative care so she’s more comfortable. Hold her hand. Give her so many forehead kisses. She cant talk, but she tears up when I tell her how much I love her and my future plans. My dad is wearing a stupid fucking pro-cop shirt and I can’t help but be angry about how clueless he is and for adding this stupidity to a day that’s going to be etched into my brain for the rest of my life. Every 15 minutes or so when the nurse checks in, they remind us that there no rush, but we can take her oxygen mask off whenever we are ready. When are we ready? How are we ever ready? We know she doesn’t want to be kept on life support. Are we ready? We know she is experiencing some discomfort all hooked up like that. Are we ready? Let’s wait for one more person to get here. Are we ready? We wish she could tell us what she wanted. Are we ready? After everyone got to say goodbye. I think my partner was the one to finally suggest that it was time and I agreed. Or was it me who said it? My dad was looking for any input. An only child, not wanting to make these decisions alone. I slip into my historic role of eldest daughter, not even much younger than him anymore, knowing a decision is better than no decision. My sister and I each have one of her hands. As soon i can no longer hear her last exhale, the doctor comes in to declare her time of death. People spend different amounts of time after. My sister has to go back to work. My dad stays around, then says he’s going to grab his sweatshirt from his truck, then texts and says he’s going to find somewhere for us to get brunch. I spend about an hour with her after she was gone. Holding her hand, kissing her forehead, rubbing her arm until it’s completely cold. It takes longer than I’d thought. I keep a lock of her hair. It’s hard to leave her bedside. Next time I touch her body it will be pulverized bone that I’m trying to scoop into a locket. My partner and I get brunch with my dad.
This grief is by far the most difficult thing I’ve had to deal with in my life, and I don’t think my life has been particularly easy. She was the source of unconditional love I could depend on in my life. She was only 68 so I took for granted there would be more time. I’m able to cling to knowing that she was ready even if I wasn’t, that she had a peaceful death with people she loved. Meanwhile I’m seeing headlines every day grief multiplied over and over again, learning more about the attack, learning more about the Israeli military response escalating, bombings, bringing more and more death and grief. Violent deaths with last moments that haunt and terrify me. Deaths where the mourners do not get the comfort that I’ve been clinging to. Grieve for Jews and I have people who I consider my peers deciding that this means I’m some sort of right wing nationalist who doesn’t give a shit about Palestinians. Grieve for Palestinians, and people in my community think I’m some sort of self hating jew who believes terrorists attacks are justified. Feeling rejection on multiple fronts when shit is real. Even writing it I can hear a response of “really, feeling rejection is hurting you? People are dying!” And it’s like YES- people dying doesn’t mean that suddenly we no longer experience the human need for connection AND the thing that’s causing this rejection is seeing people’s humanity and CARING ABOUT THOSE DEATHS.
Really I just don’t know how a person can’t see their own grief and pain reflected back again and again in other people.
Don’t really have a point to this aside from the fact that this is definitely warping my brain in new and exciting ways but just shout out to people who are dealing with Major World Events and Major Life Events at the same time time. It sucks ass.

Understanding Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD): Causes, Symptoms, and Prevention
Understanding Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD): Causes, Symptoms, and Prevention
Introduction Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a serious medical condition that affects millions of people worldwide, including those in Aurangabad. As a leading nephrologist in the region, Dr. Tauseef Ahmed is committed to educating his patients and the community about CKD. In this informative blog, we will delve into the causes, symptoms, and prevention of CKD, offering valuable insights to help you safeguard your kidney health.
Tumblr media
What is Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)? Chronic Kidney Disease, often abbreviated as CKD, is a progressive condition where the kidneys gradually lose their ability to filter waste and excess fluids from the blood. This can lead to a buildup of toxins in the body, which, if left untreated, can result in kidney failure.
Causes of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) Understanding the causes of CKD is crucial for early detection and prevention. Some common causes include:
Diabetes: Uncontrolled diabetes can damage the kidneys over time, making it one of the leading causes of CKD.
Hypertension (High Blood Pressure): High blood pressure can strain the blood vessels in the kidneys, affecting their ability to function properly.
Glomerulonephritis: This is a group of diseases that cause inflammation and damage to the kidney's filtering units.
Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD): A genetic condition where cysts form in the kidneys, leading to damage and loss of function.
Urinary Tract Obstructions: Blockages in the urinary tract can hinder the flow of urine and cause damage to the kidneys.
Symptoms of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) CKD often progresses silently in its early stages, with symptoms becoming noticeable as the condition advances. Common symptoms include:
Fatigue: Persistent tiredness and low energy levels.
Swelling: Swelling in the legs, ankles, feet, or face due to fluid retention.
Changes in Urination: Changes in frequency, color, or blood in the urine.
Difficulty Concentrating: Poor concentration and mental fog.
Nausea and Vomiting: Feeling nauseous and vomiting, especially in the morning.
Preventing Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) Prevention is key when it comes to CKD. Here are some tips to protect your kidney health:
Manage Diabetes and Hypertension: Keep your blood sugar and blood pressure under control through medication, lifestyle changes, and regular check-ups with Dr. Tauseef Ahmed.
Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water to help your kidneys flush out toxins.
Healthy Diet: Maintain a balanced diet that is low in salt, sugar, and processed foods. Incorporate fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.
Regular Exercise: Stay physically active to help maintain a healthy weight and cardiovascular health.
Limit Alcohol and Avoid Smoking: Excessive alcohol consumption and smoking can harm your kidneys. Quitting or reducing these habits can be beneficial.
Medication Management: Take prescribed medications as directed and avoid over-the-counter drugs that can be harmful to your kidneys.
Conclusion Chronic Kidney Disease is a serious condition that requires early detection and proper management. If you suspect you may be at risk or are experiencing symptoms, don't hesitate to reach out to Dr. Tauseef Ahmed, the best nephrologist in Aurangabad, for a comprehensive evaluation and personalized guidance on protecting your kidney health. Remember, prevention and early intervention are the keys to a healthier future.

Prayers and good thoughts for our friend’s treasured son-in-law. He has been diagnosed with esophageal cancer with mets to the liver and lymph nodes throughout his abdomen. He has a very poor prognosis - less than a year, probably just a few months. He is only 48 years old. Our friend is heartbroken, her son-in-law has been in the family for 17 yrs, and he is so very loved. He is scheduled for a PET scan next week. Mar 05
Prayers and good thoughts for our friend’s mother. She has had brain cancer, bladder cancer and the cancer had already grown into the muscle layer and also the uterus so what they planned is a cyctectomy and hysterectomy combined with a chemotherapy afterwards. Mar 24 UPDATED
Prayers and good thoughts for our friend’s husband who will be having surgery. The waiting list is one month long. Also prayers for our friend to feel God’s loving presence during this trial she and her husband are facing. Feb 26
Prayers and good thoughts for our friend’s beloved husband. Due to a recent bout of illness he has been having investigations. He had his Prostrate removed due to cancer and all has been well for 5 years. The investigations have shown some abnormal blood results and it has been suggested he be referred back to the Urology department. He also has raised liver enzymes too. So obviously he is not 100% health wise and the obvious concern is that the cancer may be back. Also, prayers and good thoughts for our friend to feel peace and God’s loving presence. Feb 13
Prayers and good thoughts for our friend’s nephew who is struggling. Feb 11
Prayers and good thoughts for our friend who needs to have re-surgery to repair her broken femur bone, which has not fused. She was told that it was surgery failure the first time, and she would have to travel to back to Singapore to have the re-surgery done. Feb 5
Prayers and good thoughts for our friend’s nephew who has been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. Feb 3
We pray for our friend who for 36 years has suffered from a progressive, painful, debilitating neurological illness that has her housebound, and she is tired.  Jan 19
We pray for Princess of Wales as she recovers after major surgery. We pray for her recovery to be quick and without any issues. We pray for Prince of Wales and children as they go through this trial as a family. Jan 17
We pray and send good thoughts for our friend and her daughter who is going through some things. Jan9
We pray and send good thoughts for one of our Tumblr friends who has stepped away and we await her return. Jan6

the whole “u better get used to seeing children bloody and killed” type stuff is insane . there’s tragedy everywhere. i see it everyday when my son seizes. or when i see children starving or being fed chemicals. i see tragedy all over the world, not just at home and my cortisol levels are insane. it’s causing an actual imbalance in my hormones and my vitamin function in my body. it is scary. voting will do nothing. i teach my child never to trust the government or government led organizations, fight for your community authentically. these government officials are who put children in danger, not the single mom at home trying her best. or the teenager working a crazy ass job while going to school. we can help as much as we can but we shouldn’t be subjected to cruelty. we know what’s happening. “if you can’t handle seeing it, suck it up” i don’t force my sons epilepsy and bloody incidents bc he’s blind and has poor balance, so he runs into walls and trips on concrete all the time. it was caused by medical malpractice and the best thing to do is inform people that hospital births and inventions can cause this. what am i to do? show u pictures of me dying on the OR table to get my point across?? do i show u pictures of children on dialysis machines when we go to my sons specialist appointments? what i’m saying is there’s tragedy and horrific things happening everywhere. to any degree. u absolutely do not need more of ur cortisol levels raised. if u TRULY WANNA make a change, do it within ur children, do it in ur community, reach out to people empathically. bc raising their stress levels and traumatizing them isn’t it

i really think the hardest thing for me this past year and a half (since i started showing symptoms) has been ... grief?
i don't know. i miss being average. i miss running every day. i miss going out with friends. i miss waking up in the morning and not being in excruciating pain. i miss being able to enjoy things while not simultaneously resisting the urge to cry over how much im hurting.
im grieving my childhood despite still being a child. i quite literally have the bodily function of a 70 year old. my quality of life is on par with dialysis patients according to some articles. i take over 14 pills a day.
i can't DO anything. showering takes me out for the whole day. i almost had to drop out of highschool. im FLUNKING out of highschool.
on top of that, my family. they don't fucking understand anything. my mom keeps saying "when you get better". my grandparents read me bible verses and say god gave this pain to me for a reason. what reason? im a kid. i just want to be a kid.
i make lots of jokes about it to everyone around me as a coping mechanism and i just smile as if my pain isn't at a constant 8.
not to be dramatic, but my life is over.
