Read any good books since your last update about your recent reading?

Yes, although I forget when I last shared the books I've been reading, so hopefully I don't repeat anything.

I know that I've repeated this book because I've mentioned it several times over the past couple of weeks, but I can't help but remind everyone again about Steve Coll's excellent new book, The Achilles Trap: Saddam Hussein, the C.I.A., and the Origins of America's Invasion of Iraq (BOOK | KINDLE | AUDIO). It's definitely the best book I've read so far this year, and it's one of the better books I've read in the past 10 years.

I don't know if there's a writer/journalist today who has better access to the American defense establishment or proven to be more capable of shining a light on many of the most secretive aspects of the United States government.

A white, luminous, rhomboidal shape. This is what two alleged UFOs that flew over Santiago the Chile looked like. The images were shared on social media and quickly went viral.

I would like to go to Patagonia and the Andes but I would end up going alone because nobody else I know is interested or would want to go

I would also be nervous about travelling so far from home on my own as a single woman on her own

I get it, completely. I am not going to Patagonia alone, but if I were, I’d definitely go in a tour so I wasn’t alone. It’s so far from anywhere at times, and I’m a terrible driver and outdoors person. I’d def die on a glacier if I went alone, I just know it. I hope something can work out for you to travel there in a way you feel comfortable.

I have traveled around Asia, Europe, and North America alone, and guess where is the ONE place I’ve been detained at the airport by immigration? CANADA. So yeah, everywhere I’ve been have been more welcoming and easier to travel to than Canada. I love Canada, though, even though they hate me 😉

My mom used to tell me about my grandfather in Chile taking trips to the Andes to watch for UFOs. I still don’t really know what to do about this information 🤣
