One mistake could mean death. A mistep along the narrow and wind blasted pathways has claimed main chocolate lives. It is said that the test to become a master demands the chocolate student survive a massive trial by combat in an area where all the chocolate students face elite chocolate monks. The students are only permitted to use whatever they can craft out of a single chocolate fountain. Cosmere Characters: What Type of Halloween Candy They'd Be

Happy Halloween! Last year, Cosmere characters dressed up. This year, I'm going to compare them to candy. Who knows what will happen next year?

Anyway, here's what type of candy I think each of them would be!

1. Szeth: Jawbreaker

Yes, this is a joke about his bald head.

2. Elend: Nerds

Yes, this is a joke about how Elend is a big nerd.

3. Siri: Skittles

They are a rainbow, just like Siri's hair!

4. Shallan: Three Musketeers

One candy. Three musketeers. Shallan.

5. Ham: Tootsie Pop

The tagline "How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop" is a quasi-philosophical question that we as kids really felt was important. Ham loves debating shit. My wife says no one will remember this slogan because it's from the 90s but I was a kid then and I'm doing it.

6. Vin: Warhead

It's a weapon of mass destruction in candy form.

7. Kaladin: Kit Kat

A candy made to be broken in half. The tag line (from the 90s again probably shut up) is "Give me a break." But no one gives Kaladin a break. He just gets...broken.

8. Wayne: 100 Grand

First slogan: "Tastes so good it's almost illegal!" Second slogan: "That's rich!" Wayne: likes to steal, like recreationally, but not like in an illegal-illegal way. Then he gets Super Rich. Look, it makes sense in my head.

9. Steris: Homemade caramel apples

Steris doesn't do anything halfway. The caramel is homemade too.

10. Lift: Sour Patch Kids

I think Lift would be a candy with "kid" in the name. You know, because she's never going to grow up.

11. Renarin: Reese's Peanut Butter Cups

The slogan I know is "There's no wrong way to eat a Reese's." And Renarin is a guy who likes to go his own way.

12. Leshwi: M&Ms

Hard outer shell (=crab lady) + delicious cholate interior (=Leshwi is sweet) and then there's slogan about how it m-melts in your m-mouth not in your hand.... Ha ha did it get hot in here or is it just me?

13. Dalinar: Twix

It's a candy that is a BONDED pair. I tried.

14. Adolin: Lindor Truffle

I felt that Adolin should be chocolate: solid, dependable, comforting. But, like, a fancy chocolate. Rich. Higher quality. That sort of thing.

15. Raoden: Snickers

Slogan (current, for once!): "You're not you when you're hungry." And, you know, as a person with the Shaod and an all-consuming hunger...

16. Moash: Candy Corn

People who hate candy corn: "Candy corn is the WORST thing to have EVER happened in the UNIVERSE and anybody who likes it is PROBABLY SICK AND TWISTED."

People who like candy corn: "It sucks! I love it so much."

17. Kelsier: Everlasting Gobstopper

My original joke: Because it survives forever!

My current joke: Holy shit I really thought this was a real candy but apparently it is a fictional candy from Willy Wonka that was later made into a real candy? Only the fictional candy really did last forever but of course the real candy doesn't; it's just a story.

That's somehow even more Kelsier.

18. Nale: Floss

There's always the one house that hands out floss, to remind the children that life is not about fun candy, it's about Responsibility. That's Nale.

Greaseball had woken up annoyed, her muscles were aching, her hair was clinging to her face and her neck was sweaty, she was craving something she couldn't quite place and Dinah was nowhere to be seen.

Greaseball glanced over to the clock on the nightstand, it had only just gone past 6 AM, there was no need for Dinah to be up this early, her shift never started until hours after Greaseball. It was Greaseball who always woke up early, kissing her girlfriend awake before heading out for the morning shift, so Dinah being out of bed made so much sense.

Especially considering today was Diesel's day off and Dinah had promised to cuddle her for most of the morning.

Greaseball reached for her phone, swatting away her work one to grab her one, her and Dinah's smiling faces greeting her as she switched it on.

Immediately Greaseball hit Dinah's contact and sent her a text.

"Wher are you"

It didn't take long for the response to come through, and the sound of movement down the hallway just confirmed it.

"I'm in the kitchen, are you alright?"

"Hungry"

Greaseball could hear Dinah's chuckle from the kitchen, a sound the Diesel loved.

"What are you hungry for? I can make breakfast or something to keep in the fridge for you"

Greaseball paused for a moment, she knew she was craving something, but what it was exactly she didn't know, that was until a few minutes of thought she knew exactly what it was, although not actually what it was called, how couldn't she remember something so simple?

"choclate thingy"

"Chocolate thingy? Pain au chocolat?"

Greaseball rolled her eyes, why couldn’t she just remember what it was called, it was right on the tip of her tongue… then it hit her.

"NO cholate tort"

"Oh Chocolate torte, I'll make you one :)"

Yeah, that sounded about right, she knew Dinah would know exactly what she wanted.

Greaseball found herself for most of the morning lazing in bed, watching movies on her laptop and occasionally scrolling through Twitter reading the many, many, thirst posts about herself and Dinah, some of which she liked and retweeted.

It was a perfect morning.

As lunch neared, Dinah slid into the bedroom, her apron still on, patches of flour on her face and in her hair.

"The torte is done, do you want it with lunch or dinner?"

"Dinner," Greaseball chuckled, not paying too much attention to her girlfriend, but to the terrible candid photos of Electra that she had been tagged in.

"Are you being mean online again?" The dining car asked shaking her head, "You're going to get in trouble again."

"It's not my fault they're so stupid-looking" Greaseball continued laughing, turning her phone around to show the photos to Dinah.

"I thought you were friends now?"

"We are, doesn't mean they aren't stupid though."

Dinah couldn't help but laugh at her girlfriend's pouting face as she continued scrolling, "They keep tagging me in things to annoy me."

"Like what?"

"Like this!" With that, Greaseball shoved her phone in Dinah's face, although Dinah didn't get the big deal.

It was the sweetest picture of Rusty she had ever seen, taken by Pearl, His cheeks rosy red and the cutest smile she had ever seen, above the photo, though seemed to be the problem, it read;

"He is the sweetest babygirl to ever babygirl ISTG he needs to win again cause I want rusty merch"

"He isn't babygirl!" Greaseball spat throwing her phone onto the bed, "I want torte now!"

Dinah started to laugh harder, hand clutching her stomach, "You're so dramatic," she wheezed out.

"I'm not dramatic, and Electra does this on purpose! They do it just to annoy me!"

Dinah managed to get her breathing under control after a few minutes, making a mental toll to thank Electra for the good laugh, although she was pretty sure it was Killerwatt who actually ran Electra's social media, since like the Diesel, Electra couldn't be trusted...which meant it must have been Killerwatt tagging Greaseball in that post which caused another round of laughter.

Greaseball rolled her eyes as she pushed past to head to the kitchen, Dinah's laughter following after.

There it was, on the kitchen counter, a chocolate torte, dusted with icing sugar on top.

Dinah's arms wrapped around her waist, "Are you going to have a slice?"

"What is it?" Greaseball asked eyebrows knitted together in confusion, Dinah's face soon mimicked hers.

"Chocolate torte…that's what you asked for."

"No, I asked for-" Greaseball stopped, damn dyslexia, and damn herself for not using autocorrect.

"What did you want?" Dinah had pulled away to stand face to face with her, though luckily she knew Greaseball well enough not to be offended.

"I thought you just said tart really weird," Greaseball started to laugh.

"Tart!" Dinah yelled, hysterical laughing starting up again, "You- You, wanted a tart!"

"That's what I said!"

The kitchen was filled with the laughter of both girls, holding onto each other so they wouldn't fall.

"Okay- okay," Dinah started, a hand to her chest trying to get a hold of her breathing, "Eat the torte and I'll make you a tart for later."

Greaseball nodded her face bright red, shoulders shaking, not even attempting to talk because she knew as soon as she opened her mouth she would just start laughing again.

"I love you so much," Dinah spoke, standing up on her stoppers to kiss Greaseball, "even though you need to use autocorrect."

Yeah, this was the best day off ever.

Italy’s Pistachio Latte Cheesecake

It’s has a pistachio cheesecake layer made with crushed pistachios and pistachio cream, and a thin top layer that is an espresso cheese cake, and a very thick pistachio & graham cracker crust, then it’s topped with drizzled chocolate ganache, pistachio stabilized whipped cream and pistachio Dubai chocolate stuff.

In my head I wanted to go for a vine type feel for the top, idk if I executed it or not. I decided 1/2 way though I kind of hated the design and wanted to do something else but it was too late.

Im getting really good at baking my cheesecake though didn’t even have to temp this one just eyeballed it. Look at that top layer it came out so glossy.

Italy’s Pistachio Latte Cheesecake recipe below 👇

Okay even if this one looks complicated it was actually the most simple one I've done so far, and also the most expensive.

Pistachio Graham Cracker Crust

2 cups of Graham Cracker crust 1/4 cup Pistachios crushed 1/4 stick butter pinch salt 1/4 cup sugar Melt the butter and ad to the dry ingredients. Push to the bottom of your Spring form pan and bake at 350 for 10-15 minutes or just when the crust starts to turn golden.

Cheesecake 1/4 cup pistachio cream 1/4 cup crushed Pistachios 4 shots espresso (You can use just house coffee but the taste will suffer. You can't add much more coffee as it thins the batter and if it's too thin you'll ruin the science) (You'll have to BYO cheesecake recipe, I don't share mine.)

take 1/4 of the Cheesecake batter and set aside. In the large batch fold in teh Pistachio cream & Chopped pistachios. pour into the cheese cake pan.

in the small batch pour in your espresso and mix it up by hand, don't over mix. Pour over the Pistachio cheese cake.

(Bake for time listed on your cheesecake recipe (may be longer because of the additives)

Chocolate Ganache 1/4 cup heavy cream 1/2 cup dark choc chips heat the heavy cream and pour onto the cholate. Stir until smooth. (It will harden back up slightly but you can warm it in teh microwave and it will be good as new.)

When the Cheesecake is baked and cooled drizzle on your chocolate however you want.

Stabilized Pistachio Whipped cream. 1/2 pack pistachio pudding 1 cup heavy cream

Mix it together on him until its thick.

Add the whipped cream onto however you want I did leaves and then wished that I didn't. My first plan was to do hearts.

Pistachio Knafeh (This recipe could be wrong and you might want to google your own I just guessed) 1 1/2 cup Knafeh 1/2 cup Pistachio cream

Toast your Knafeh on teh stove in a skillet, don't add oil or anything and just wait for it to brown and then push around, don't burn it. Put in your Pistachio cream and while it's still warm place on your cheese cake how you want

...Okay maybe that was a lot more than what I though after I typed it all out lol.

Hey guys! I'm so sorry I'm late with this - one of my friends passed away and his funeral was on Monday. It broke my heart more than it had already been broken so I took a few days offline. I know you'll understand.

Today's gift is a bumper pack of British Christmas Treats. Forgive me if these things are popular in other parts of the world too, but in the UK we love our snacks and especially the Christmas versions. So I've made a crisp tub box, chocolate orange, and two versions of the cholate tub sweets we get here.
