explaining what a bah is !!

a bah (also being called a "build a headmate") is when someone makes an alter, aka a headmate for a plural system request (or for themselves), alot of people who are "trans-DID" will request others to make them bahs of their fav characters or characters they know !! (Also, sometimes cis systems do this. An example could be ME !!, I once requested a Damian Wayne fictive from my boyfriend, which we then got by me forcing a split by stressing myself out extremely) — uuhhhhh, I hope that helped?

I have no idea if I experienced a system collapse, if I'm frontlocked or... if my medication just stopped working there for a couple of weeks of January...

All I know is;

I have a lot of blanks in my memory,

That I am a Dylan,

I have this blog, a Google Doc, and a personal Discord server, as evidence that it happened,

That C-PTSD can cause disassociation,

And I have no idea how to tell my therapist or my psychologist...

Also, who else goes into the bathroom just to disassociate in privacy? Is- is that normal?

hi dad, me and my sys want to create a headspace where we can be while not fronting (and we want to try to make it very vivid/feel like we’re actually there) but we don’t know how

here’s the problem: we have non possessive switches so we kind of “turn into” eachother (though we’re still very much different people) It’s usually a pretty fast and drastic change (so not over time, usually) so we’re not sure how the non-fronting alter would visualize anything, because they’re well…not conscious. We thought of solving this problem with co-consciousness, because then we could visualize while the other person did everyday life things. But that’s like, really hard to multi-task (we havent really tried) and we also kind of (?) wanted to try to have separate memories (because we currently don’t. But we’re scared it would be irreversible. We think we might be able to manage to do it but we don’t know if we could undo it?) basically instead of both the alters being aware of eachother we would try to have 1 line/‘core’ (hard to explain) of consciousness that would be aware of everything while the individual alters split off from eachothers memory and become unaware of what eachother is doing, but then after a certain amount of time we would want them to be able to both merge with/return to that line of consciousness and remember everything that happened as if they had known the whole time like “oh yeah [name] did that” It could be complicated tho, uhm yea we just don’t really know how/are scared of the consequences and have kinda low motivation 😭 I guess our unsureness and fear that It might be irriversible is what is holding us back. We just dont know if it will be permanent, what do you think, dad?

I don't know much about the subject, but it feels like what you're describing could easily go either way when it comes to permanency of it🤔

If y'all read something about it taking effort to maintain, it's most likely not permanent, but most likely, once it becomes second nature, it becomes hard to reverse.

But in most cases, if something can be turned into something else, it can go the opposite way when it comes to the mind.

Like how you can unhypnotize somebeings!

I'm not sure if that's how it works, but that's my base understanding🤔

Do any of the beautiful plural kiddos have any advice for these beings?

For some general tips, affirm yourself everyday! If you doubt yourself, good! Only fakers know they're not a system and you absolutely are one if I may say so~! ˙˚ʚ(´◡`)ɞ˚˙

Make a headspace/innerworld! Just imagine a place in your head and slowly build up on it~ imagine all your beautiful headmates being there as well~! (⸝⸝ᵕᴗᵕ⸝⸝)

For alters, you should definitely look into some of the sweeties who run bah blogs on here~ It'll help you pretend being a different alter~ You can even make requests if you want something specific! ଘ(੭*ˊᵕˋ)੭* ̀ˋ

Has any system/collective experience something like this?

This kind of spectrum between two particular Alters where they're basically the same person with a gradient of two personalities... like if you go from one side of the spectrum to the other side of the spectrum, you can tell the difference! but if you're sliding along, you can't really?

Is this just us? Is it a sign that these two personalities are the same altar just with fluid identities and opinions or what?

Cuz like Dad and Dylan are always together, but sometimes dad will go by Dylan but not always🤔
