Random Escaped Audios character headcanons (semi domestic... Idk?)

Escaped and Jean sleep with socks on, a habit they picked up in prison.

Escaped also sleeps with the mask on sometimes. And only in his boxers... And socks. Sexy. Seductive, even. 😂

Jean sleeps in whatever he wore that day minus the pants. Crinkled dress shirts all the way. (if he even gets sleep that is) On really bad days, before the intern, he just threw on pants the next day and was ready to go. (yes he did shower... But he put his old clothes back on)

Precious baby boy Ivan (actually adorable dilf... ESCAPED NO YOU DID NOT SEE THAT!!!😳) sleeps in matching pyjama sets and even got some for Raven and Paloma so they all three can match! of course the pj's are bird themed!

Now that I'm on a "what they wear to bed" trip... Alphonso does the classic t-shirt and boxers combo, jogging pants if he's cold. Plus a hoodie if he's really cold. Which is rare. Or... Well... His slayer uniform.

Benji does the t-shirt boxer combo too. All year. He mostly wears his old college (or band👀) tees to sleep.

You cannot convince me Crow "i don't have use for t-shirts" doesn't (didn't 😢) sleep butt ass naked. Either that or fully... Clothed? As clothed as he is. Leather harness shoulder bracer and all. There's no in between.

Escaped has a sweet tooth. Also LOVES home cooked meals. After all the junk in prison, he loves the times in between where he gets to eat real food. If he could choose between take out or home cooked it's home cooked all the way. (one of the goons is a fantastic cook)

I have many feelings about our slutty villain soo... He's a cuddler. Big time. Won't admit it, but likes being the little spoon (kinda mentioned in the audio). Will also lie on top of you if he catches you lying around, and put his head on your tiddies or tummy.

Crow has one of those photo calendars on his desk. It's with cats. Doesn't use it for calendar stuff... Only has it for the pictures. Gets new ones every year but keeps the old ones in a drawer in his desk.

Benji, our precious marine biologist (yes shh i know it's not exactly his job), is the same but with sea animals.

Also... Benji makes mixtapes. Not just early into the relationship, but also after he got married. It's his anniversary gift. Literally spends all year compiling a playlist, and a movie watchlist for datenights!

He also learns more songs on the ukulele and he and the intern sing together. Not very well, but it's cute. When the singing gets too bad, one would just kiss the other to shut them up.

Alphonso keeps souvenirs of the places he visits on hunts and keeps them in his room at the slayers' stronghold when he's there.

Jean is a bit jittery from all the coffee he drinks. Goes through withdrawl after escaping the mafia. But now he's down to the normal amount of coffee for a day (like... 2-4 cups a day)

Ivan will come and wrap his arms around your waist and rest his head on your (Raven's) shoulder while you two cook together. Will steal bits of food, too.

Ivan does wood carvings sometimes. He carved a little raven for Raven. Paloma painted it hot pink, she's very proud of it!

Once at safety, Jean adopts a stray dog... which turn into three.

Ivan will totally bring home injured animals (especially, ofc, birds) and nurse them back to health.

Hi there! Would it be possible to request a Steve x reader story about him declining to sing while you're at karaoke but makes up for it with a trip to the music store to play the ukulele? The victory party is in full swing. Steve Fox stands triumphant in the center of the room, raising his newest championship belt for everyone to see. The strobe lights shine across him like diamond trails over his blond, slicked-back hair. His boxing gloves are still strung over his shoulders, and he’s knocking back beer glasses with his mates like there’s no tomorrow. At some point, you take your eyes off him for just a few seconds, but he’s quickly closed the distance and sidles up to you at the bar area.

“Fancy another drink, luv?” Steve raises two fingers to the bartender, and slings an arm over your shoulders. His fresh cologne scent tickles your nose. The bartender returns with your drink, and Steve happily clinks your glass. “Here’s to you! My darling babe, the sexiest angel and my greatest treasure in the world—”

“Okay—I get it, I get it!” You burst into a giggle as he peppers small kisses along your jawline.

“Is the party too boring for you? Any creeps hitting on you? I’ll clock ‘em in the face,” Steve says, making a show of blowing on his knuckles.

“There will be no clocking,” you say, while your eyes wander over to the karaoke machine in the corner. “How about a song? I’ve never heard you sing before.”

A drunk partygoer stumbles behind you then, and Steve is quick to shield you.

“Woah! Easy there, fella. Hands to yourself, alright?” Steve playfully bumps his fist against the partygoer’s chest, just hard enough to elicit a choked laugh. He turns his attention back to you.

“You were saying, hun?”

“Karaoke! Will you sing for me?”

Steve glances to the machine from afar. Some other drunk guys have just picked up the microphones and started belting out a beloved classic. More people gather around to cheer and tease.

“Right. Actually, maybe now’s not the best time for that,” Steve says, much to your disappointment, and you settle for imagining it in your head instead, the way Steve’s cheeky tone might shift into a deep, honeyed timbre.

Your tiny pout must have left a mark on Steve, though, because he skips the after-party to go for a walk with you into a fancy shopping district. The sun has already set, and soft fairy lights glow from the surrounding gardens. Steve leads you by the hand through boardwalk, gentle as ever. He stops to cover both your eyes before nudging you towards a certain shop.

“Alright, you can look now!”

You find Steve’s adoring smile, and the music store standing quiet behind him, deserted at this odd hour.

“Here’s a special performance, just for you.” Steve picks up a ukulele on display, testing a slow strum. The chords echo melodiously in your ears.

“No way.” You gasp softly. Steve strums again, easing into a slow love song, the strings vibrating under his deft fingers. He takes his time working up to the climax, never missing a note.

“What can I say?” Steve winks. “I’m a man of many talents.”

“You’re amazing."

"Why, thank you."

"A musical genius.” You press a sloppy kiss to his cheek this time, and it’s his turn to giggle, boyish in his smile.

“I just hate to see you disappointed. You mean the world to me, you know that? I'll do anything to make you happy,” Steve says between slow strumming. You kiss him again, a peck on the lips.

"You already make me the happiest I can be."

"Oh, my heart." Steve ends the song with one last strum, soft and full of love. He puts the ukulele down, and pulls you in for a sweet embrace.

It’s much, much better than anything you could have imagined.

I like to think killing time fits him. I don't understand why most Toby playlists I came across consist of dying ukuleles with some sappy crying lyrics? he would definitely love watching you play instruments in his free time. you would usually sit in the love seat across from the couch in his apartment, perched with your instrument of choice, which was usually your ukulele or guitar since they were matthew’s favourite. he would lay on the couch on his side, body turned to your direction with a happy smile on his face as he heard the tunes you’d strum, along with your mumbling of lyrics.

“you sound really good, honey” “you say that every time, matty” “it’s the truth!”. you’d be a hot mess afterwards.

hearing you sing in the shower was one of matthew’s favourite things to hear. the running water mixed with your voice always sounded so relaxing. you had a habit of bringing a speaker into the bathroom when you’d shower, playing music from your carefully assorted spotify playlists & singing your heart out as you washed your hair & body. being in the shower with you was a whole other slice of heaven, hearing you sing melodies as you pressed yourself close to matthew so intimately—it gave him goosebumps every time.

you would often taste like buckley’s cough syrup, hot chocolate & honey from all the remedies you’d use to soothe your voice after a tiring gig. He didn’t mind it at all, at least the hot chocolate & honey— buckley’s was just straight up gross. so, matthew would often buy you your favourite cough drops (which happened to be berry flavoured ricola & the assorted minty pack of halls) instead since the taste of buckleys began to make his nose hurt.

he’d pepper kisses on the fingers on your left hand since they’d grow tired/stiff from holding down the strings so often & they’d get little scars/mini callouses from all the constant playing.

he’d definitely attend as many of your gigs as he could, sometimes he’d even just listen from nearby rooftops when his patrolling clashed with one of your performances. the man would be committed!!! he’d also take foggy & karen with him quite often & they’d all treat you afterwards at josie’s with a few rounds of shots.

he’d definitely whoop & scream the loudest for you at big gigs & at the smaller ones, he’d clap the loudest & cheer with a lot of enthusiasm. you’d often smile too much on stage because of it or just look directly at him when singing, shaking your head at your #1 fan.

matthew would FOR SURE cry or at least tear up if you wrote him a song (let’s be honest, you’d write him multiple). he’d kiss you so passionately after hearing the recording from your computer or after hearing you sing it to him live from his apartment.

On the topic of aphantasia / inner monologue: do you not get songs stuck in your head then? Because I will walk around with the same catchy chorus on repeat in my brain but if you don't actually "hear" your inner voice do you "hear" inner music?

I was actually thinking about this the other day!

It's a little difficult to verbalize because it's tough to describe an abstraction like thought. I do get songs stuck in my head, though it's relatively rare and usually easily fixed -- most of the time it's as easy as putting some other music on or distracting myself with a book or something. Generally it only happens when I'm very lacking in other stimulus or extremely tired, which is probably an ADHD thing, not that I thought about that until just now.

But I don't hear music in my head; until recently I’ve always thought that was an expression for something more abstract and non-literal, precisely because abstract thought is so hard to describe. When I have a song “stuck in my head” I just think about the lyrics, usually a fragment of the full song, in a repeating loop, making it difficult to think about other things. I could never, for example, get a classical piece with no lyrics stuck in my head. There’s simply nothing to think about. 

I do wonder if not hearing music in my head is the reason I have such a difficult relationship to music as a musician -- I really enjoy playing the ukulele but I will always be blocked from certain levels of musical ability by certain things I simply can’t do. I can’t identify a note by ear; despite playing piano my whole childhood and currently playing the ukulele I will never hear a note and go “Ah yes, that’s C.” I felt entirely lost as a child when I was made to do theory, because I couldn’t understand how the math they were trying to tell me about was connected to playing music. I still don’t understand time signatures (please don’t try to explain them, I also don’t care). Until I could climb around in the concept of “keys” and figure out the metaphor of the decoder ring for how keys worked, I didn’t understand that, either, and I was in my late thirties then. 

In any case, I would imagine the levels of annoyance are probably pretty similar, I just don't actually hear it, and that probably makes it easier to get rid of it.

so we got the classic Escapism motifs:

Aster- Lamb, Beatrice- Mourning dove, Charles- honeybee, Grace- deer, Martha- praying mantis, and Eli- crow

(OOH and if they had music theme songs, these characters would have some kind of dies irae motif in it: Grace, Charles, Aster, and Martha :3)

And some very lowkey motifs that I mostly used to help the character design process for Dawn characters:

Dawn- SHARP. SHAPES. They are a Triangle

Chigs- the sky :3 and bluebirds :3

Ron is loosely (and I mean loosely) based on a goat, and Gene on an owl

Juno is based on a peacock which is a little more obvious

For 10 I'm gonna avoid Escapism characters until I can familiarize myself with 19th century composers....so Dawn characters again bc I miss them(I'm very bad at classifying music genres please forgive me)

Dawn likes classic rock n roll and listens to white noise casually

Chigs likes k-pop and lighthearted indie stuff? Like YouTube video with one girl and a ukulele type beat

Frappe likes 80s pop + rap and some modern day alt rock

Ronnette likes jazz (last time she was on earth before The Plot Happens was the 20s, so it has a special place in her heart) and 2000s pop

Gene likes classical music, some operas (nessun dorma type shit ykyk) and dabbles in show tunes from the golden age of theater

Lucy really really tries not to listen human music because he hates humans and stuff but when he does he probably listens to a lot of blues and sappy love songs from every era. He would like Will Wood. He's not doing so well,

Ok blue lock band boy au??? help me out here

Isagi: frontman, good singer, knows like 4 chords in his ukulele

Bachira: killer bassist and actually does angelic backup vocals/harmonies

Chigiri: keyboard solos w the best of em

Kunigami: drummer, goes hard, holds the band together, only one consistently on time to practice

Reo: classically trained singer and pianist (kinda mediocre at both tho tbh, lack of passion), massive studio in his basement with ALL of the goods

Nagi: guitar prodigy, voice like an angel when he puts in the effort but rarely puts in the effort.

Rin: amazing singer + showman, bit of a nightmare to work with

Sae: hottest singer in the country

I guess Isagi, Bachira, Chigiri, and Kunigami would be a band. Reo and Nagi are a duo (very toxic). Sae and Rin used to be a duo but theyre soloists now.

Isagi doesn't go all in until he meets Bachira. Theyre eachothers muses and bounce ideas off eachother coming up with most of the band's lyrics/arrangements. Bachira will have some off the wall ideas and Isagi will reign him in. Quite possibly the only band relationship to work out in the history of bands (they're both a little superstitious about the band relationship thing and are incredibly nervous to tell the rest of the band when they start dating).

Chigiri is always late to practice but nails it in one take anyway. He's been playing keyboard since he was young. Has a very good ear and easily catches when something's off.

Kunigami knows quite a bit about sound. Accidentally became the 'tech guy' because he took pride in being able to solve problems. He does a lot of what the rest of the band hates like social media, networking etc.

Sometimes Nagi will get an absurd idea in his head (adding the sound of scissors to a song, a hoard of fennec foxes for a music video etc) and Reo always indulges his ideas because he wants to keep Nagi happy. Reo has never wanted a partner until Nagi. Reo does not play well with others and essentially pays Nagi to stick around.

They're all college ish/probably around 20. Main band got together freshman year of college, Reo and Nagi started halfway thru highschool, Sae and Rin have been doing shows together since they were kids (started in theater before transitioning to music)
