you cannot save your dead ends and the hair product industry is selling you lies. Get yourself an appointment and cut off the split ends! I'm a long hair girl myself so growing my hair is my ultimate goal, but not for the price of having damaged hair because in my honest opinion: healthy hair > long hair.

Personally I prefer natural colored hair but if you are into hair dye treat yourself (and especially your hair with moisturizing products).

Oiling your hair is key to shiny and healthy hair and you should do it regularly (create your own oil it's so much fun)

for the non curly girls: brush your hair daily but gently

apply a hair mask 2x a week

use gentle hair ties for overnight braids

don't wash your hair with too hot water and rinse with cold water, rice water, etc.

avoid tight hair styles

use heat protection and stop applying to much heat

do scalp massages to stimulate hair growth

use a claw clip instead of hair ties

use sulfate free shampoo only

invest in silk pillow cases (game changer but it took me some time to get used to it)

wash your brushes (could be a major factor for greasy hair)

do not over touch your hair

conditioner only belongs on the ends

use a microfibre towel or old t-shirt to dry your hair after showering

wash your hair 1-3 per week depending on your hair type

Julance ‘22 day 2

Lance has to take the shot; he has to take the shot. If he doesn’t, Keith will die; if he misses, Keith will still die. He can’t let Keith die, but his finger trembles against the trigger. He can vaguely hear his other teammates yelling through the comms on his helmet that he tossed away from him.

The Galran general, a big meaty guy about eight feet tall, chokes Keith, lifting him in the air. Keith kicks him a few times in the knees but the Galra never flinches, never loosens his hold. Keith desperately claws at the fingers around his neck.

Lance anchored his sniper rifle against a pile of boulders and has kept watch through his scope for the perfect opportunity to strike. But there isn’t one. There’s too much of a chance he will accidentally clip Keith if he’s even a millimeter off his target. 

But Keith catches Lance’s gaze and stops struggling almost immediately. Scope trained on Keith’s face, it takes Lance two times to realize Keith mouths ‘do it’ without an ounce of fear in the world. Lining up his shot, releasing a breath, Lance pulls the trigger.

Keith falls to the ground in a heap, struggling to prop himself up on his hands. His hair curtains his face. Coughing and hacking to clear his throat, spit dripping from his lips, Keith gently prods the bruising skin ringing his neck. 

“Keith, Keith!” Lance calls out as he rushes forward. His feet pound against the ground; dust kicks up in the air. He falls on his knees to slide forward, reaching Keith as quickly as he can. “You’re okay,” he says in a near whisper. He can barely breathe. He cradles Keith’s face, and he brushes his thumbs against his cheeks. Those dark eyes stare at Lance with rapt attention.

Keith’s face splits into a stunning smile. “Thanks to you.” His voice, hoarse and ragged, struggles to form the words, but Lance hears enough of it to understand.

“I was so scared.” Closing his eyes, he rests his head against Keith’s forehead. Even with the general dead, Lance’s heart continues to race, his own breathing ragged as if he was the one in the Galra’s clutches.

“I trust you,” Keith says, voice regaining some semblance of normalcy. It seems to hurt less at least. Good enough to get out, “I knew it’d be okay.”

“That makes one of us.” Lance almost barks out a wet laugh as if he’s close to tears. He almost was. “I’m glad you’re okay; I’m so glad you’re okay.”

Keith wraps his arms around Lance, dragging him down until he’s almost lying fully on top of Keith. He finds home in the crook of Keith’s neck; his nose brushes against Keith’s skin, careful of the bruising. A hand cards through his hair as Keith whispers directly into his ear. “Thank you.”

I'm in process of rewriting part 3 since I adjusted how the plot goes, so some of this might be familiar. Not sure if it was in a previous Last Line or Heads Up Seven Up.

Violence and kidnapping cw. And for clarity's sake: she doesn't know Ex and Drex at this point, so she doesn't name them. She was also 100% about to kill Hex.

Another hand seized the cuff.  Its sharp edge cut deep into her wrist; the sweat of her palm grew hot.  “Not so fast,” he grunted into her ear as he shoved her arm against her back and swung her out of the way of their partner.  His claws scraped her other forearm.  A twisted red and white horn on her left side dominated her peripheral vision, the thin, sharp end curved away from her.  Eyes flashing, Vocatia swung her head and smashed his horn tip with the thick side of her horn.

A creaking, ripping snap melted into his pained squeal; Vo’s satisfaction interrupted by the sharp shriek in her ear.  Clutching his face between his hands, he crumpled into a standing fetal position sucking in air between his fangs.  White glowing fluid streaked with dark rivulets dripped from the splintered gash in his horn. Vocatia tail-whipped him in the chest to knock him onto his ass before charging towards the safety of the open streets.   

Another attacker blocked her path, far larger than the other two. Vocatia could not stop; her hooves kept moving.  She lowered her head and aimed her horns for his chest. 

Sidestepping, he clipped her horn with his palm and caught her neck in his elbow.  “Ssshh, shh, shh,” he soothed, tightening his grip.

Vocatia kicked and punched the wall of flesh trapping her, to little effect.  Her long tail thrashed, smacking into the Loyalist still lying upon the ground.  Every movement was a breath stolen. A measly price to pay for her life.

He grunted with each successful strike, twisting so the sharp hooves would not slice his bare cannons, and squeezed tighter.

Pressure built between her horns leaking stars in her eyes.  Her arms slowed with each punch.  She hacked, her breath whistling through her squeezed windpipe.  Despite the mounting darkness, she twisted her shoulders in resistance as her arms were drawn across her lower back and cuffed together by the one whose face darkened from the rapid swelling.  Consciousness spiraled; her body collapsed without its support.

I don’t understand this claw clip trend right now. It’s not because of the clips themselves, I love claw clips, I’ve been wearing them for 15 years and ALWAYS have one in my bag and I’m even happy that they’re considered trendy again bc it mean companies are making more colors and designs than just solid black and brown. What I don’t understand is the influencer videos about them, literally every video is “OMG TRY THIS NEW CLAW CLIP STYLE” or “THIS CLAW CLIP HACK WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE” and then they just twist their hair up and put the clip in….. the way it was designed to be used……..the same way people have been using them for decades………..and the only reason there’s any variation from video to video is because they have different hair lengths and textures…………..

Dean is still heaving when they finally corner the werewolf.

He knew that Jack n’ Cas had been comin’ up strong behind her, but adrenaline still courses like a shock of electricity through his veins. Makes him jittery. Makes him tighten the grip on his blade.

Her claws had snapped out at the last second, mere inches from where they would’ve dug into the soft meat of his chest. He’d barely gotten his silver knife out in time—just as she’d crowed that she wanted to feast on his heart.

“Your pack,” Cas says, cold and clipped, “Where are they?”

She gulps, then seems to think better of it. She turns her head and spits, a wad of dirty-lookin spit landing rudely on Cas’s cheekbone. “Already blew town, handsome.”

Cas doesn’t even move to wipe it off. He just continues to stare her down, his blade guarded and ready to plunge.

She giggles, gleeful.

“They’re probs’ chowing down on another daycare center in Saskatchewan as we speak. I hear baby bones make good dental floss.”

Dean pushes his blade forward, letting her feel the tip of it on her neck. She turns and hacks a spit wad into his face next.

Like lightning, Cas reaches out and grabs hold of the hair at the nape of her neck, peeling her off Dean’s body. (She’d been pinning him by the hips against the rough texture of the brick alleyway. The ease-up on the pressure is a huge relief.)

After they have the information they need and the location of her psycho nest, Cas rams his angel blade efficiently between the vertebrae at her upper spine and gives a short, brutal twist.

She doesn’t even make a sound as she thuds heavily to the ground. As she falls, Dean gets a clearer eyeline on Jack, who looks down neutrally before turning worried eyes up to him.

(Dean’s just a bit winded, really. He had it all under control. He’s a fuckin’ pro. The best there is.)

He finds himself babbling stupidly to cover his nerves. “And that’s how playing’ from a weak position can getcha’ the upper hand.” He makes sure to throw the kid a winning smile. “Could be playin’ drunk or walk-in’ with a limp. Either way, monsters like that? Tend to be uppity.”

Jack nods, and Dean swivels his gaze to Cas, who finally defrosts.

“Are you all right?”

Fuck, his voice is a little soft.

Dean gives what he hopes is a nonchalant, one-shoulder shrug. “M’good.”

Actually, he thinks his fuckin’ lips are bruised. And there’s the start of a brick rash on his whole backside.

She’d come on so aggressively that Dean had barely had time to parry her makeout sesh with a lil’ improvised seduction.

Cas’s hand rests on his shoulder, and he gently tugs him away from the brick. He’s probably gonna do a grace diagnostic, but Dean ducks away, feeling weirdly out of sorts.

Maybe it wasn’t as slutty as it felt?

He looks over at Jack, who’s still staring, wide-eyed from Dean and down to the dead werewolf girl.

Yep.

Jack’s got a weird look on his face. So, he figures it probably was.

Turns out that the nest is in town, and since these wolves‘ve already killed six hunters, they regroup at the hotel to loop Sam in.

Dean’s glad for it.

While Cas fills Sam in, Dean takes a scaldingly hot, forty-minute shower.

Jack is uncharacteristically quiet after they wolf down some Arby’s.

Ain’t a good sign, that’s for sure. Up till now, he’s been eagerly jumping in to discuss every stupidly irreverent detail.

Finally, a little after eight, Jack’s damn breaks: “What was your strategy when it came to fooling her? I’m worried that I couldn’t ever touch anyone like that.”

Just as Dean’s about to open his mouth to brag about his superior (and impressively distracting) makeout skills, Cas throws out a flippant, uninterested, “Don’t worry. It’s not particularly difficult to accomplish.”

And maybe it’s his weird mood, but Dean bristles, feeling oddly slighted.

“Hey, it’s not easy, either.”

Cas stares at him for a moment, and Dean can’t for the life of him get a read. Cas looks a little apologetic. Maybe Dean’s telegraphing his defensiveness in the stupidest way.

Cas seems to try to redirect, “In this case, it was brilliant improvisation on Dean’s part—”

Dean can’t help it. (“Brilliant?”) He preens.

“—but getting in such close range of an enemy combatant is best left to a more experienced fighter.”

Jack still looks unsure. “Oh.”

Dean sits up as straight as he can, papering over the cracks in his armor with poise and pride. “Well, yeah. Getting up close like that? Eyes on the mouth, eyes on the claws, am so right? If you can, get ‘em talking.”

Jack nods hesitantly.

“That mouth is a lot less dangerous braggin than gettin’ closer to ya where it could maul you to death.”

Something clicks in Jack’s eyes. “That’s why you told her she was skilled?”

Dean replays the moment in his head. (“That…you’re good at that.”)

He checks Cas’s reaction.

“Uh, yeah, kid. Two ways to go about it. Banter with em,’ you know? Somethin’ aggro or sexy, to get ‘em volleying back-and-forth. Or if ya can’t do that, stroke that ego.”

Jack frowns in confusion, and Dean tries again.

“You saw how she started running her trap, right? That little bit of talkin’ gave me an opening.”

Jack smiles, getting it. “Right. And her mouth was too busy to maul you. You could keep your eyes on the claws.”

This isn’t going as badly as Dean thought it might.

“Yeah.”

“So, will I need to learn kissing, just in case?”

Spoke too soon.
