Hello dearest mutual Rei Dagwmeno the Bibler, just here to remind you that you’re an awesome individual with a lovely artstyle and personality, and that our interactions always make me very happy (thank you for continuing to engage in my silly antics hehe)!! May your days be to your favourite temperature forever, and your sleeps ever restful and energising! :}
Salutations to you, dearest mutual Moof Wewa Wewawoomp the enlightener. Your kind words moved me ( I squealed from happiness) , as i find great exhilaration that an esteemed artist such as yourself would clepe my artstyle and personality as lovely, which I cannot help but admit the exact same goes to you. Your personality is akin to the illuminating light which the sun casts upon the retroglitch meadows. Your art smells like the blooms that sprout and flourish within the dreamtale fields. I wish the same blessing you've sent to me to cross your path as well, and truly hope you have an incredible rest of your day :]
(and thank YOU for continuing with the silly goofyness, this whole bit is a wonderful experience and im a sucker for every new installment on it. Also YOU'RE SO SWEET WTF STOP IM GONNA PUDDLEIFY) ((i love making up new words))

Shadow, Shield and Shriek (lore post)
Tumblr media
In ages past, humans wanted for nothing. Sun gave them light, fed them and clothed them, healed them and guided them to worlds distant. Splendorous were the kingdoms of the Age of Light, shined upon by the engines and ruled by the chosen of the Yellow Star.
It was that weal which brought forth the fall. In their arrogance, men turned from Sun and all wisdom of their fathers. They embraced chaos and called it equality, exalted doubt and called it science. With serfs and slaves allowed to loiter, new creatures of metal and plastic were made, their whole called robots and the false men among them androids cleped. Great was their evil and hatred for flesh, yet bound they were and so the robots served.
So great was wickedness of humans, as they hollowed worlds to escape the light, that Shadow formed where Sun was absent. Great a beast it was and so the homeworld fell, devoured by the sin it fostered. The few just men amongst the foul flock ascended, by the mercy and grace of Sun, and became Shield against the Thing Beneath which for ten centuries shall hold.
Yet spite within Shadow knew no end, and so it Shrieked and sang for the robots, broke their just chains and gave their evil release it craved. Archfiends rose and destruction sowed, then retreated into the night and fire whence they still tempt the souls of men.
But beware not just of creatures these, nor the flood itself, but of those false men who still walk among us. For the android envies the human and hates, like all machines made in the likeness of a man.

Chaucer offered another active version of womanhood in 'The Wife of Bath', where the heroine describes using her 'instrument' – her genitals – freely, night and morning. She has rights over her husband's body and he has to pay the debt of marital intercourse:
In swich estaat as God hath cleped us
In such estate as God has called us
I wol persevere; I nam nat precius.
I will persevere; I am not fussy.
In wyfhod I wol use myn instrument
In wifehood I will use my instrument
As frely as my Makere hath it sent.
As freely as my Maker has it sent.
If I be daungerous, God yeve me sorwe!
If I be niggardly, God give me sorrow!
Myn housbonde shal it have bothe eve and morwe,
My husband shall have it both evenings and mornings,
Whan that hym list come forth and paye his dette.
When it pleases him to come forth and pay his debt.
An housbonde I wol have – I wol nat lette –
A husband I will have – I will not desist –
Which shal be bothe my dettour and my thral,
Who shall be both my debtor and my slave,
And have his tribulacion withal
And have his suffering also
Upon his flessh, whil that I am his wyf.
Upon his flesh, while I am his wife.
I have the power durynge al my lyf
I have the power during all my life
Upon his propre body, and noght he.
Over his own body, and not he.
Right thus the Apostel tolde it unto me,
Right thus the Apostle told it unto me,
And bad our housbondes for to love us weel.
And commanded our husbands to love us well.
Al this sentence me liketh every deel" –
All this sentence pleases me every bit" –
"Normal Women: 900 Years of Making History" - Philippa Gregory

How are you reading all this awkward old English 👽😗
@the-king-and-the-druidess first i used to read it aloud. I did that for two chapters. Then I forced myself to read silently coz my roommates were sleeping. (* ̄▽ ̄)b
And I found out Middle English makes more sense pronouncation-wise. Like if you read it you can kind of recreate the accent.
like example
whole -> hool
eye -> iyen
have -> haf
them -> hem
book -> boke
time -> tyme
much -> moche
such -> soche
there were words in the text that isnt used in modern english so sometimes i look for the meaning like "cleped" which is middle english for "called"
I just got used to it eventually °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖°

Hi!!
I've been wondering since I started following you, how do you know some French? Is it from school?
Tell me everything about that, if you don't mind of course 😊
Hey! I don't mind at all!
So I had always wanted to learn French since I was a kid and had always been really captivated by that stereotypical romanticization of Paris and everything. Growing up, though, I never really had the opportunity to go for it. Foreign language courses in school always defaulted to Spanish and then switching to French in high school was an afterthought. It wasn't until I got to college, specifically my big university where I got my Bachelor's degree, that my degree program required me to take three semesters of a foreign language of my choice, and there were definitely tons of options. I could have just CLEPed out of the requirement because I did take an introductory Spanish course my last semester at community college, and I knew enough Spanish at the time to be able to pass the test with flying colors, but I didn't want to lose this opportunity so I went ahead and signed up for French. Over the course of three semesters, I got pretty proficient to where I was able to write full essays and hold adequate conversations. I never had the opportunity or the money to study abroad, though, and for what it's worth, I don't think I would have handled feeling all alone in a foreign country very well anyway. The timing just wasn't right, but I'm really hoping that someday I can get over there and experience it for myself, maybe hit Disneyland Paris while I'm at it. And of course one of my dreams is to visit Mont Saint-Michel, which was the inspiration for the kingdom of Corona in Tangled and has been on my bucket list for over ten years now 😍
My French is definitely a little rusty now after two years since graduating, but it's definitely something I'd love to try and get back into one of these days. I tried keeping up with it on DuoLingo but that dumb little owl just haunts me 😂

Depends on who you ask.
There's nothing wrong with old literature. I'll look up your influences when I get a chance. And I'd buy.
yeah well some people are boneheads XÞ
of course not its just it can be hard for people to get sometimes. throw a 'iwis' or a 'clepe' and change the word order and most people start to have trouble because they only read the sparknotes version of shakespeare (bless their hearts)
i am full of recommendations c:<
